A face appeared outside her school bus in the Oregon woods. Then she heard three words: “Let me in.”
Kalinna was living in a converted school bus with her logger husband while doing fire watch near Brookings, Oregon. One night, her dogs began shaking and growling at the entrance. Through the lower door glass, she says she saw silver eyes, dark leathery skin, and a face that formed a forced smile.
In Bigfoot Society Episode 1225, Kalinna recounts that close encounter, objects skipping across the bus roof, strange wooden structures, and a massive moss-covered boulder that seemed to hum. When she told her husband about the voice, his unusually specific question gave her another mystery to consider.
What approached their bus deep in the Chetco River area—and why did it want to come inside?

Please keep Jeremiah in your prayers as he continues his fight against cancer. For more updates about his medical journey, please go to the CaringBridge link in the show notes. Thank you. All right, Big Fest Society, we've got the privilege of talking to Kalina today. I got connected to her. She's having some really interesting things happen over in Brookings, Oregon. But welcome to the show, Kalina.
57 How are you today? Thank you. I'm doing well. Thank you very much. Awesome. Man, Brookings is a place, we don't get a lot of it in the show. It's down there in the lower southwest corner of Oregon. Is that right? Yeah, it's really close to the border of California on the coast. Okay, gotcha. And I know Bigfoot stuff happens down there. I just, for some reason, the map's pretty bare. So when I saw your email, I was like, oh my goodness, Brookings, cool. So Kalina, take us back to how this all started for you. When did you notice weird things were happening to you out there?
38 So in the Brookings area, I was there in, it would have been 2016 and 2017. And, um, at the time, my, my late husband was a logger. And at this particular time, um, we were just doing fire watch. And, uh, so we lived up in the, the North and the South Chetco bouncing back and forth between locations to do the fire watch. And, uh, there was this one place that we pulled into where on the Chetco, I think it was the South Chetco.
20 And we were living in the 1985 school bus, a Bluebird school bus. And it was really neat. We were, you know, making it a living home. And anyway, we pulled up into this one clearing where it just felt off, like, like if I were to be looking into the trees, then the trees were looking back at me. But I got out and started exploring the area. And there was like, kind of like teepees set together, like just like probably six or seven poles put together, but the tree poles were slammed down into the ground. And then just kind of tied at the top. And in my mind, I'm like thinking, oh, it's a ponytail for a teepee because the tops are still up there. And anyway, I thought that was just really neat. You know, I didn't want to go into them, but I was very, very curious about them. And then there was another like larger, very obviously put together what I would want to call a front room. but it was like built all the way up to probably five feet. And I'm five, six. So it came probably up to my, my mid chest area
51 of logs that were laid out in a square to make the structure of a home. And I thought that was just really curious and really cool. Like who the heck would be doing this out in the forest where there's hardly anybody out here, you know, being able to do this. And so, um, still, I, I kind of wanted to walk around in that little house, but I didn't, didn't like, I felt like I was violating somebody's space. And, uh, so anyway, um, there were times when like sound would just get super muffled, like, um, um, like I had earplugs in and, and it was just really strange.
45 Sorry. Is this in the same area as the wooden structures? Are you talking about during firewatch? Yes. All same area. Okay. Thank you. Yep. And, um, and so, um, I just kind of walked around that the area husband and I were just exploring and, um, I noticed that there were like, bedded down areas like a big bunch of deer would lay in the spot but I didn't see any deer poop and that just nearly kind of caught my attention like well this is really weird deer poop all over the place and so anyway I was just kind of trusting that my husband knew what he was doing and we were just going to stay up there and do a fire watch in that spot and so that night that we pulled in nothing really happened except for like, I would feel vibrations through the bus, like just vibrations. And there was one, one time where like, you know how kids go outside and play like, Hey, come out and play with me, come out and play with me. Well, I got that sensation while I was inside the bus to come out the bus and And in my mind, I'm like, leave me alone. Oh my God, I'm not going to come outside.
09 And I made a joke of it. Right. And well, that thought went away. Oh, so you were hearing something or, okay. So I'm trying to, trying to ask something without putting words in your mouth. So were you were getting a certain vibe or you were hearing sentences or words that were telling you to get out there or can you specifically get into that? Yeah, it was, it was like, um, like thoughts were going into my head, like come outside, come outside with us. And I'm like, no way, this is stupid. I'm, this is weird. I'm not going to go outside. It's dark. And my husband was sleeping and the, you know, the dogs were, um, not wanting to go outside, but they were kind of wanting to go outside. Like they were wanting to protect me, let's say, um, instead. And so, um, The rest of the night went on, and I tried to lay down and go to sleep, and I just couldn't.
09 I'm the kind of person that will wake up to a bug farting in the forest. And I felt like I needed to get up and go to the front of the bus. And at that point, my bigger dogs, both of the older dogs, got up and walked to the front of the bus. And I just kind of followed them. And as they were at the front of the bus, they just stopped and started to shake and growl. I'm like, what the heck are they wanting to growl about? I thought they wanted to go outside, maybe go outside to go to the bathroom. And I felt, I saw myself going to open the door of the bus. You know how they have that handle where you pull the handle, door opens. Well, just as I was like probably four or five inches away from the handle, my eyes caught something down at the very lower part of the bus step outside. So it was just right outside the bus step.
16 And I had to focus on it for a second. And the picture that came back to me was, you know, the black dragon on How to Train Your Dragon movie. Oh, yeah. The Night Fury. Yeah, the Night Fury. I watched this a few times with my kid. Yes. So that was the look or that was the face that was looking at me. And I'm like, how curious and creepy is that? I'm like, am I really seeing this? No, I don't do drugs and I don't drink. So whatever I see is what I see. And I'm looking down at it and I got like pinpricks feeling all over my body like um like I was being poked by a whole bunch of needles is what it felt like and then um I was still looking down at it and real disbelief really like am I actually looking at this thing and it cracked its face open like gave me a forced smile and the the skin around it was kind of like a dark, leathery, mummified look of skin. And I'm like, that's so crazy. How did it just smile? And, you know, and so I'm really kind of contemplating, is this actually really happening? And
49 am I seeing this? And Wow, look at the teeth. It looks like it just ate Oreo cookies. And I'm like, what the hell? The eyes were shiny silver and kind of a milky color, but it was dark outside. So this thing was darker than the dark outside, but certain features would pop out. And so when I started getting that prickly vibration feeling Through me, it started to talk to me like when somebody talks through a fan. That's the sound that came through to my ears. And it said, let me in. A very monotone, through that choppy kind of sound. And it angered me. Like, I felt violated.
45 And like it violated my inner space. And so I got angry and I told it to go away. And I wasn't very nice about it. And when I looked again at it, it looked to me like it had changed its facial expression from a taunting invite to like a pouting, angry pout. And then in a blink, it was gone. Like. I know it moved away into the direction of the backside of the bus, but, um, I didn't see it. So that was just my mind saying, Hey, it went off that way.
27 Okay. Kalina real, real quick. This is absolutely fascinating. I want to throw in some questions. So how far away from you was it? You were on the inside, correct? Yeah. The, it was like, um, If I were to open the bus door, the outside glass of the bus would hit this creature. Wow. So you saw the head. The size of the head, is it close to anything like a normal household object or anything like that? I would say it was the same size as my head.
10 Oh, interesting. Okay, I wasn't expecting that. Okay. So you saw it move away or did it disappear or something? That seems a little interesting. So when I blinked my eyes, I almost feel like I caught motion and movement in a direction across the doorframe. So if I'm looking out the window of the bus, the door of the bus, it went off to my right. So my left is where the motor is. The right is where it's all open space.
52 I do want to check something about your surroundings as well. So you, you guys are doing fire watch, which correct me if I'm wrong, but that's when you're in, usually you're in the tower and you're looking for fires popping up. Is that right? Correct, normally. Gotcha. But in your case, you had the van or the vehicle with you, and you're staying in the vehicle instead of the fire tower, right? Right. Okay, interesting. And so how close to the fire tower is the van parked, and how far away are these stick structures from the van and the fire tower?
33 So the fire tower, as far as I know, was not existent. And so we were on the ground watching for the logging company, watching basically to make sure that the equipment didn't catch fire and none of the trees that they had worked that day caught fire. I'm tracking now. Okay, so you really care about the equipment. You're more being security for the logging company and making sure their equipment doesn't burn. Yes. Yes. I got it. Thank you. Okay. I was, yeah, I was thinking something completely different. Um, but there used to be a fire tower in that area. It sounds like.
15 Probably. Probably. Okay. Interesting. And how far away from civilization are you guys at this point? Oh, about an hour. An hour, like on a service road. Um, an hour. Yeah. We were up on multiple logging roads, um, This one was a road that the logging company had to build themselves. Okay. And how far away from you guys when you're in the van and you're keeping watch are these stick structures? So the stick structures were probably about, I want to say about a thousand feet away. Okay.
00 Interesting. Interesting. Okay, feel free to continue. Thank you for answering my questions. Yeah. Where did it leave off? It had just disappeared from your... You closed your eyes, you opened them, and then you noticed it seemed to go to a different part of the vehicle. Yes. Okay, so when I got really upset and violated, I told it to go away, and it did. But then there was no way I was going to go back to sleep after that. So I'm just kind of laying there with my dogs and my husband. Husband doesn't hear anything. He's half deaf anyway. And the dogs were just not wanting to leave my side. Dang it. I'm so sorry. I keep getting a message. Okay. And anyway, I started hearing like pebbles or pine cones go across the top of the bus. And I'm like, oh, these little creatures, you know, I know these aren't people. And I know that there are things out in the forest that I can't understand, comprehend or explain. And so I'm in a situation to where I'm just either going to, you know, enjoy it, get afraid of it, or just let it affect me for the rest of my life in a negative way. So Instead, I'm like counting how many times it skips across the bus top. And, and,
31 and then, and then still there's that thought of come outside, come outside or let me in. And it, it was kind of frightening play. I think it was in my mind, it was wanting to play with me or, get me to let it in or get me to come outside and there was no way absolutely no way I'm not going to go outside and play with this creature that I don't know what it is or even let it inside my my space I was angry enough to know that it violated my mind with the thought of let me in and so I put out this like um I don't know a barrier inside myself to where I I'm like a really thick bubble and nothing can bother me.
26 And then it, it really just kind of faded away. All this nonsense sound and everything just kind of faded away. And it's like, they got tired of me. And so I did not sleep at all. I was waiting for any kind of sound to pop up. And then the regular sounds of birds and, you know, insects and all that kind of stuff came back. And so I recognized that previously that it got really muffled, like everything was muffled and then all of this stuff happened. And then the muffle went away and I can hear the birds again.
09 And that's when I went outside and there was a few little stones right outside the door of the bus. And I thought that was really, it was almost like validation. Like, yeah, you actually did hear that. You weren't hearing things as a crazy person. You actually witnessed all of this. And so when I let the dogs out, the dogs were very stiff-bodied. Like they were not wanting to be outside, but they needed to go to the bathroom. And so when husband woke up, um, I said, we gotta, we gotta move. We gotta move to a different spot because I think that we're in something else's area. And, and so we did, um, he didn't fight it. Um, he started at the bus and we went to a different location, but the second location, it's all, I think they probably followed us. Um, because at the second location, um, it was more secluded um and enclosed the the first spot that we went to is more open um with the clearing and and their little houses and all that kind of stuff and at first you know i'm thinking oh these are help um little teepees that people would put together and um but then i got to thinking well
43 there's nobody up here that nobody comes up here so how do these little things get put together if people don't come up here. and so anyway we go to the next spot and nothing really happened in that spot except for there's this one portion of the like the mountain face where I would when we'd drive by it or walk by it, I would look up at this log. I'm sorry, it wasn't a log. It was a stump. It was a black stump that was out of place because the rest of the trees were nice and clean and fresh. But this one stump looked like it had been burnt. And it was probably 500 feet away from me up on the side.
38 Of the hill. There was no way that I could access it by walking. And, uh, but anyway, my eyes would just look at it, kind of like try to focus on it, but I can't focus on it. Um, and then I thought that I saw that it, it moved like it shuffled a little bit. Um, but, uh, it was really weird because I was standing there across, uh, across the road, looking up the hill at this, um, black feature and there was another thought that came through my mind like a huge massive grizzly bear and I know we don't have grizzlies in Oregon but in my mind I was visioning this massive silver grizzly run down the ferns and in such a speed and manner that the ferns four words or the few words that I got out were get the eight and the eight was an eight millimeter Magnum. And, um, and that, that's what I was saying in this vision. And I said to my husband, Hey, I think we're either going to be, um, confronted by a big bear or, you know, maybe we just need to be aware of our surroundings more. And he, he was always aware. Um, So, I mean, he always
11 had the rifles and everything at the ready. But still, that was a vision that came through that stuck with me. Like, is this thing up there telling me what to expect if I bother it? Or is this my mind playing tricks on me, saying that this could be what would happen if it was a creature that wanted to do us harm? And so I kind of... left that thought alone because I didn't want to follow, follow through with the ideas of, well, if I instigate an angry entity an hour away from anything that I can, you know, get help from, I don't think I want to do that.
01 So I left it alone. It felt like I locked eyes on it a few times. And then that thought came through of the grizzly. And then I just kind of left it alone. And, um, a few hours later, we, we were driving out of that road and that stump was gone. And so that really made me think, okay, so obviously it wasn't a stump. I did see it. And I, um, uh, I'm wondering what the heck has happened. You know, I know that I am susceptible to like, um, Paranormal kind of stuff. Yes, I get that. But what is it that I actually saw up there in Brookings?
46 I would really like to know. And there's nobody that I can really talk to to say, hey, what was that? And another thing about Brookings is there was another part of the mountains that we were exploring. And we came across this rock. really like a soft face of the rock. And it just didn't look like it belonged there. Um, it looked like somebody had put a big egg shaped rock in the middle of the forest and covered it up with moss. And it, it hummed itself. Like it, it had like a humming sensation. And I'm, I'm joking about it with my husband and he's like, well, well, there's definitely something weird in here. Maybe there's a UFO.
42 And I'm like, yo, maybe there is, you know, we get to playing with the words and stuff and nothing happened with that rock. But I just know that it felt out of the ordinary and I wanted to go inside of it. This is extremely interesting. So you're sensing the humming. Is that through your, through your hearing or like you have your hands on it and you're like oh i can feel the vibrations or can you go a little bit. More into that that it was both it was in my head but it was also on my hands and um kind of like when you put two batteries together that repel that was the sensation that i was getting when i got really close to the the stone um I wanted to rub my fingers through the, the moss that was on the stone. And when I got too close to it, it felt like it repelled my hand away from it. Oh, wow.
44 Really? Yes. It was so, it was so weird. It freaked my husband out. And we, he kind of scooted out of there and made me come with him, but it really scared him because I said, look, it's, Get your hand close to it. And he kind of did. And he's like, this is weird. I'm out. Oh, that's amazing. What size was it again? Oh, my gosh. The stone was, it was like an apartment, a single-sized apartment. It was very large.
24 Oh, wow. Very large. Do you know what kind of rock it was made out of? Um, I don't, I don't, I couldn't see the rock itself cause it was covered with moss, but, um, it, I, I wanted to go and touch it. I wanted to scrape away all of that moss and see if there was a doorway. I wonder if there are any markings or anything on it that if you remember anything like that? Uh, no, no markings just, um, sticks placed together. Like it was like somebody had, pushed the sticks up against the house and left them there. Like somebody would put a broom up on the side of the house and forget that it was there.
09 Oh, sure, sure. A completely different area than where you're having the interactions. Yes. Okay. These are three different locations. But all around the Chetco River, you're saying this one is a completely different area? Yep. It was between the North and the South Chetco. In Brookings, there's a thing called the Chetco effect. And I guess it allows the weather to maintain a comfortable weather. When you say comfortable weather, can you go into that?
50 Because different people are going to think different things when it comes to comfortable weather. Like, um, so if it was, let's say 90 degrees in, in Brookings itself, the Chetco is the Chetco effect would have, um, a sensation that it may be 90 degrees, but it's a little bit moist. So it's not so hot. I understand. Thank you. Yeah. Um, Was that the first time that your husband had experienced something weird like that? It seems like most, like the, the main thing that you started out with your husband was asleep. So he missed all of that.
38 Yeah. Yeah. He missed the, the thing talking to me at the door. Um, he, I think he chose to ignore a lot of the things. Because I think that as a logger, he was able to not uncover, but deal with things on his own while he was up in the mountains that he just accepted. And so when I told him, hey, this thing like talked to me and he said, well, did it vibrate with its tongue? I said, what the heck do.
20 You mean by that? Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. That's a really specific question to ask. Are you kidding me? Exactly. Your husband knew stuff. He did. He did. Oh, my goodness. Did it vibrate with it? That's so specific to ask. Very specific to ask. Did you ask him what he meant by that? No, I didn't. It was just really weird. I'm like, babe, what are you talking about? Oh my God. And he would laugh, you know, like. Like, is he actually doing a joke on me, or is he being real serious?
02 He experienced stuff, absolutely. Yeah. I would guarantee it. Yeah, he did. Yeah. Wow. My goodness. I'm sorry that you lost him. Me too. He was a crazy man. I bet he was a wild man, you know? He was a wild man, totally. Yeah, absolutely. Absolutely. So. In that Brookings area, you know, you had the vibrating rock. Was that the last weird thing then that you guys experienced in this area? Or is there even more weirdness that came to you guys?
42 Those are the main things that stuck out. I mean, I take weird things as they come and go, but those were the biggest... what the heck was that? You know, thoughts. Those are the things that really caught my attention. Have you looked into these? Cause you know, this specifics about where the areas are. Have you looked to see like if there's been any other people that have reported things in these areas as well? Yes. Just in passing, you know, I, I would, overhear people at the restaurants when we'd go to dinner just in passing and I always wanted to it was only probably three or four times but in each time I wanted to go and talk to the people and say hey what else did you hear here's my story but then there was that sensation stopping me from interacting with other people that have had that kind of experience. Really?
55 Maybe it was a fear. I don't know. Do you remember any specifics about, was it more like the Night Fury story or the vibrating rock or something completely different that they were talking about? Something different that they were talking about, that they would leave items out by the fence. And I caught that like the, there was an older gentleman talking to his wife about leaving something out by the fence. And I'm like, Oh, how cool is that? You know, wow. What great gestures that somebody is going to leave animals an offering. And I just left it at that. But then over the years I would hear, um, um, other stories of people leaving things out for Bigfoot. Like, oh, well, okay. Well, if I had property, I'd definitely do that too to make sure it didn't come in and get my cattle or whatever. But, but, you know, my grandmother had stories that she had told me about Bigfoot. And, and so I think this is where I became more accepting of the things that are out there in the forest that we can't explain. My great mother would call them wood boogers.
24 And that's where the boogeyman came into play. And I'm like, what do you mean? This is up in Oregon. This is up in the Forest Grove area of Oregon. It's called Forest Grove. Yep, Forest Grove, Oregon. And she said, don't go out into that part of the property at night without your uncles because of the wood boogers. And I didn't take it any other way than as a story to tell the kids to stay away from an area. And I respected that. I respected my great mother enough to not go out in the forest, but Later in my life, as I went out in the forest, the wood boogers appeared.
17 Or something. Forest Grove is just outside of Hillsborough, is that right? Yes, Hillsborough, Portland. What time frame or what years would that have roughly been, do you think? The Forest Grove would have been from the 1970s to the 1980s, like 88. Okay, interesting. Because just north of that, I mean, what, that's Columbia County, I think? I think so. So I was in Yamhill County.
59 Oh, yeah. Interesting. It's interesting she uses that word, that terminology too because that's more like southeast United States or Appalachia you know type terminology when they say Woodburgers right. Yes and okay thank you for saying that because my great mother was from Scotland and they went from the east all the way over to Oregon and they lived in oh the Dakotas and she had told, um, my grandmother had told me the stories of her mother telling her stories about the, the woodbookers. And then I heard it from great mother when we got to Oregon. Um, but there in Tennessee, I stayed in Tennessee for a little bit. And, uh, one of the older gentlemen, gentlemen had said, you don't want to go up in the, in the hollows. Um, in the dark, don't talk to the things that talk to you. I don't whistle back. And, uh, I'm like, okay. And he called them wood boogers. I thought that was just very comforting. I guess that, that word that he used was the same as my great mother.
25 Um, yeah, I agree with everything that's said there regarding Tennessee. Um, You don't mess with Tennessee. There's stuff out there. And, I mean, I've learned that, and that's a different story. But Tennessee is weird. I know. Oh, goodness, it's weird. I don't know what is out there in those woods. And, I mean, Oregon is weird, too. Tennessee is a different kind of weird. Tennessee and Oregon, definitely different kinds of weirds. I agree. I agree. Yeah, absolutely. So you have lived your entire life in Oregon then?
06 Yes, my entire life. I've spent probably three years of my life between Georgia and Tennessee. Okay, gotcha. Growing up, so before you had... Actually, sorry, I wanted to ask this. Back to Brookings for a minute. You've obviously thought about this experience. We're just going to call it the Night Fury experience. by the fire watch. What do you think it was that you experienced that night if you had to put a word to it? I don't know. I don't think it would be Bigfoot.
49 I think that there's different entities that are out there in the veils between you know, some people can see and some people can't. I am one that can. Husband was one that could. My kids are ones that can. My neighbors are ones that can't. You know, if you go out into the woods and a thing tries to contact you or confront you or whatever, not everybody's going to be able to see it or hear it or understand it. I think that My story is pretty expressive because of the things that I'm allowing myself to witness.
41 Yeah, it feels like there's a little bit more here. Do you think you had relatives, like parents or grandparents, that also had the same ability you and your children have? My grandmother and my great-mother. Okay. So it's, it's definitely a lineage thing. Um, can you share if you're comfortable the first time you realized that you were able to see things that people, other people weren't? Oh, that would have been way back. Um, probably about seven or eight. Wow.
21 Yeah. Uh, and I've got lots of stories that, can, you know, not collaborate, but make me feel validated that I actually did see and witness a situation. Absolutely. And, you know, anything you're not feeling comfortable sharing, that is no problem. Were they like Bigfoot related or similar things that you saw later in life or something different? I think that there was one Bigfoot, I think, related situation when I was 11, 10 or 11 years old.
10 I was playing the saxophone on the foundation of the house that hadn't arrived yet. And it was up in Melrose, Oregon, just right outside of Roseburg. And I'm playing the saxophone and I got mad because I missed a tune. And so I just kind of squealed out a sound and something sounded back to me the same thing that I played. I'm like, oh, this is kind of cool. The forest is talking to me. I'm playing a musical for the forest. Well, it responded back to me in the same way my saxophone did. And so I tried a different tone and it did the same tone back. And this is at the time where there was no people on that mountain but for me and my family. And that would have been in 1988, 89. And so I'm playing the saxophone.
15 It responds back to me. I go in and I tell my dad, hey, something just called back to me. And he said it was probably an elk. I said, oh, well, that's pretty dang cool. Well, like three mountains away is the wildlife safari. And you know how the lions talk before you actually hear them? They kind of talk with their chest, right? It's like a vibration that you can feel. Exactly, yeah. And I'm like, dad, I felt that vibration from the lions at the wildlife safari. And he said, that's not even possible. And I said, well, what was that vibration that I felt then? And well, he didn't have an answer.
59 Okay. Wow. Yeah. Yeah. And, uh, like the next few days later, I got on my horse and we were riding around and I was, um, pretending I'm an Indian princess, right? Laying on the back of my horse. My horse is rocking me to sleep and I didn't have any gear on her. I didn't need anything. I just would play around on the mountain. Well, we're going down this trail and I'm nearly asleep and she all of a sudden stops and I can feel her butt muscles just start to quiver. And that moment that she stopped gave me enough time to lean forward, grab her mane and hold on because she spun around so quick and ran home.
54 And I didn't get a look at what she was seeing. I did get a feeling, a sensation of danger. And so when I got home, I said, Dad, image ran home so quickly that And I don't know what it was that scared her. And he said, well, it was probably a mountain lion. I'm like, okay, probably a mountain lion. Could be. Maybe. Mountain lions and bears. We all had them. We had them all. Sure. But. You don't know, though. You don't know. But I don't know. And that's what the thing. It's been with me the whole time. What did my horse see? But. Oh.
34 That's hilarious. Brookings. Sorry, I keep getting things I want to ask you about that. After the Firewatch, did you ever have a conversation with the logging company? Like, hey, just so you know, there's something out here or anything like that. I did. And I did. I told the guy and I said, you know, I don't know if it's making me go crazy out here, but I uncovered something that it kind of freaked me out and he kind of gave me the look like, and as if it was something that it was a normal thing. So like, I think the loggers know there's something out there.
26 Absolutely. So that's interesting. So it was just like a, yeah, what's your point? Yeah. He's been out in the mountains a long time. I get it. I get it. He's like probably too old to play around anymore. So he stayed in town. Send the young bucks out. That makes sense. Yeah, absolutely. Um, man, you've had some incredible experiences growing up in the state. Do you remember any stories that you would hear about people encountering Bigfoot in certain areas?
09 Um, yeah, various. There's so many, um, uh, just various areas like my, my grandmother and grandparent, my grandparents, um, the, the forest crews, the fire crews, um, you know, just various people would come across and say, I don't know what that was, but I saw something and, uh, or, uh, You know, something's taken my animals and they're just taking a portion of the animal and leaving it here. And, you know, I kind of tried to wrap my mind around it to make sense of it. Well, maybe it was a poacher who didn't have enough time to take the whole entire, you know, body. Well, I've lived in the forest and in the country the majority of my life.
09 And the people that I have come across, they all have this consensus of, yeah, there's something there. And if we don't feed it, it will come and take. And so I've kind of grown up with that idea and understanding and respect. There's something out there that we don't understand. And you can put your barriers up, your energy barriers and all that kind of stuff up. But there's still something out there that we just don't understand. And we're living with it. And if you can see it, cool. Then you can understand it better. But if you can't see it, make sure that you've got yourself protected in a way that you don't see it at all. Because once you see it, you can't unsee it.
59 Yeah, I'm totally missing something. It feels like we haven't... So... Because you mentioned multiple times putting your boundaries and your energy up. Where did that start to come into play in your life? Is there a religious thing there or meditation? It reminds me of a few things. Not a religion, just something that my grandmother had told me about a long time ago. No way. Yeah, like there were energies that, will pull you this way or pull you that way and either put you in danger or keep you from danger. And so what you want to do is make sure that you are keeping yourself in a stable environment where danger can't get you. And so she, she told me that a long time ago and it was just stuck with me for years.
00 And that's incredible. It reminds me of other things I've heard, like the gateway tapes and stuff. That's wild, wild stuff. What gateway tapes? It's a meditation thing, but it's very it was. I want to say it was like 60s or 70s, so I mean. We have no idea, it sounds like, how your relative got that information, right? Or maybe it's just something they figured out themselves. It's a total possibility. It's very, very interesting. It's very interesting. I mean, I love it that it's so interesting. And I think that if I knew more, I would be able to explain express better I guess I mean I'm just kind of sharing my my stories of what I've gone through and how I built with them but I still want an answer what what is it you know that that would actually help me figure out what am I dealing with it of.
10 Course and I guess that leads me to to ask another question which is would you ever want to have another experience like you have experienced so far with whatever it was out in the woods that night? Yes. And why is that? Yes, I would, because I'm curious. I want to know why was it trying to talk to me and what would it have done if it had come in or what would it have done to me if I had gone out and, Is it dangerous or is it just my mind saying that it's dangerous because I don't know what it is? But yes, I would go through that again.
53 Not by myself. I wouldn't want to do it by myself. I would want to have somebody else there, even if they're sleeping. Because it is frightening. But I would want to have somebody there. And what would the other person there do in this situation? How would that make it a better situation? A witness. It would just be more of a witness. Am I actually seeing this, feeling this, and going through this? And if somebody else is going through it, then I am validated that it's not something I'm making up or my mind's not... you know, compromised in some sort of way.
41 But if somebody was there, that could validate and make me feel safer, I guess. I would definitely go through that again. That's fascinating. What an incredible number of events you've lived through with things that are just beyond understanding And Kalina, thank you so much for spending some time today and sharing those with me. I think it gives listeners a few rabbit trails to go down. Thank you. I hope so. And those rabbit trails, you know, they open up to other rabbit trails.
27 Absolutely. Yeah, absolutely. I want to make sure that you were able to share everything that you'd want to share on the show today. I do believe I have, yeah. The saxophone, the ride with my horse, the night fury, the houses that were built in the forest that nobody could go to, the tree, not tree, but the stone that hummed and vibrated. Yeah, I think those are the biggest things, and those were mostly there in the Brookings area. I think there's probably a vortex in Brookings. Yeah, I would say it sounds like something's going on there for sure. 100%. Well, I have one more question for you after this, Kalina, but thank you so much for coming on the show today.
18 Yes, sir. Absolutely. That went extremely well. I'm going to cut the episode right there. That's for me later. But I do have another question for you. Is there... thinking of people that you have connections to, is there anyone that you could think of that might be good for me to potentially talk to for the show about similar things? I think so. Um, okay. If, if you give me a few, a few days, I could probably reach out to them and ask if they'd be willing to share their stories. Fantastic. Yeah. And, uh, um, if you just in case, um, if, if, yeah, um, uh, my, yeah, if you can come up.
13 With, with any ideas, I'd love to hear about them. Um, and that, that would be, that would be interesting. Um, you know, I'm always, uh, it seems that this is something I'm going to start doing more, which is, um, It just makes sense that people that I would talk to that have witnessed things like this would have connections to other individuals that might not have had the chance to share their experiences as well. So I appreciate you taking some time to do that for me. You bet. And Colleen, if there's anything, if you ever have any questions or things you're trying to figure out, feel free to send me an email and I'll try to help you with that as well. But thank you so much for coming on today. It's been fun.
53 You're very welcome. Now, do you happen to go to Brookings or do you have access to it? Well, you know, Southwest Oregon is on my radar for the future. I don't live out there. I live in the Midwest. And I usually stick with the Cascades around Eugene. But I need to get to other areas, you know, because I know that the Southwest has the weird stuff. I mean, to be honest. It really does. there, so there, there's not just the Brookings, but there's also, um, the South Umpqua. Um, he has, uh, up past Tiller. Um, yeah, that area is nuts.
36 That, that one definitely has a vortex. Oh yeah, exactly. A hundred percent. At least one of them. I know there's some tourist attraction you can go to down there, but I'm sure there's other things going on, but, um, Yeah, good stuff. Good stuff. This will probably be out, I would think, in a few days. But yeah, good. Thank you again, Kalina. And yeah, I'll hopefully hear back from you in a few days. But you have a great rest of your day. Yes, sir. You do as well. Thank you so much for listening to me. And I hope you have a great rest of your day. Thank you. If you've had a Bigfoot encounter of your own, I would love to hear from you. You can send me an email with your encounter at bigfootsociety at gmail.com.
24 I've come out with a free report about the top 10 Bigfoot hotspots. You can go over to bit.ly forward slash BFS report. I'm Jeremiah Byron. Thanks for listening to Bigfoot Society, and I'll see you in the woods.
