In this episode, we hear from Jay, a Colorado native and former U.S. Marine, whose life has been shaped by multiple encounters with something she cannot explain. Her experiences begin in the wide-open ranchlands of southern Colorado, where as a child she came face to face with a massive, shadow-black figure that moved with speed and purpose unlike any animal she had ever seen.

Years later, during Marine combat training in North Carolina, that same presence returns. While standing guard in the middle of the night, Jay watches as a towering figure remains just beyond the fence line for hours—silent, unmoving, and fully aware. No sound. No movement. Just something standing in the darkness, observing.

Then in 2019, during a hiking trip through Mesa Verde National Park, a growing sense of unease follows her every step. Nothing is seen in the moment, yet something feels off the entire time. It isn’t until years later, while reviewing photos from that day, that the full picture begins to emerge. Shapes appear where nothing should be. A figure peeks from behind a tree. Another stands across a canyon. One image suggests something even more unsettling—these things were far closer to the trail than anyone realized.

These encounters span childhood, military service, and family life, unfolding across remote ranchland, active training grounds, and one of America’s most visited national parks. Each moment adds another layer to a story that refuses to fade.

If you’ve ever wondered how close these encounters can get, this is one you need to hear.

1
00:00:00.160 --> 00:00:03.120
You're listening to Bigfoot Society and I'm Jeremiah Byron. In

2
00:00:03.160 --> 00:00:05.879
this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring

3
00:00:05.879 --> 00:00:08.720
you first hand encounters from people who say they've seen

4
00:00:08.839 --> 00:00:12.880
something impossible. From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to

5
00:00:12.960 --> 00:00:16.719
quiet farms and crowded highways. The stories come from everywhere,

6
00:00:16.760 --> 00:00:19.719
and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.

7
00:00:20.719 --> 00:00:24.000
These are the voices of the people who've lived it.

8
00:00:24.079 --> 00:00:27.440
To settle in, because today you'll hear another account that

9
00:00:27.600 --> 00:00:30.160
just might change the way you see the woods forever.

10
00:00:30.440 --> 00:00:33.799
So stay with us. All right, Welcome back to Bigfoot Society.

11
00:00:33.920 --> 00:00:36.960
We have another episode for you today. I'll be talking

12
00:00:37.039 --> 00:00:44.479
to individual named Jay. Some information about Jay is native

13
00:00:44.560 --> 00:00:48.679
of Colorado. Jay also served as the United States Marine

14
00:00:48.799 --> 00:00:51.560
from the years two thousand and eight to twenty twelve.

15
00:00:51.960 --> 00:00:54.920
Thank you for your service for that definitely in Jay,

16
00:00:55.600 --> 00:00:58.359
Welcome to the show. How are you doing today, I'm

17
00:00:58.399 --> 00:01:05.359
doing well. Thanks fantastic. This is going to be I

18
00:01:05.439 --> 00:01:08.400
know a little bit about where we're going and it

19
00:01:07.719 --> 00:01:11.280
is going to get really interesting, I think. But you know,

20
00:01:11.359 --> 00:01:15.319
it is always always a fun interview when we're able

21
00:01:15.359 --> 00:01:21.799
to talk to individuals that served in our military and

22
00:01:22.120 --> 00:01:26.599
how they're able to come forward and to share encounters

23
00:01:26.599 --> 00:01:28.959
that they had. So thank you so much for that.

24
00:01:29.040 --> 00:01:31.040
Is there anything else that the listeners would need to

25
00:01:31.079 --> 00:01:34.719
know about you before we get right into what you've experienced.

26
00:01:35.519 --> 00:01:38.120
No, I think that pretty much covers it fantastic.

27
00:01:38.640 --> 00:01:41.200
Well, Jay, I know that we have three different main

28
00:01:41.319 --> 00:01:44.280
encounters that we'll be talking about today, So you'll feel

29
00:01:44.319 --> 00:01:46.840
free to take us back to the one you would

30
00:01:46.840 --> 00:01:49.319
like to start with, and I'll let you share that

31
00:01:49.319 --> 00:01:51.799
and then we'll talk about it a little bit and

32
00:01:51.879 --> 00:01:54.359
then we'll continue on down the line.

33
00:01:54.599 --> 00:01:59.599
Okay, sounds good. So the first encounter happened in the

34
00:01:59.719 --> 00:02:05.359
late nineteen nineties, around the age of twelve or so.

35
00:02:06.239 --> 00:02:12.120
I lived mainly in the city areas of Colorado up north,

36
00:02:12.680 --> 00:02:17.039
so I didn't really have a whole lot of time

37
00:02:17.280 --> 00:02:20.120
during the year to go down and really be in

38
00:02:20.159 --> 00:02:22.960
the wilderness. So whenever I could, I would go visit

39
00:02:23.120 --> 00:02:26.800
my grandparents, and they lived out in the southern part

40
00:02:26.840 --> 00:02:29.560
of the state in a kind of a really rural

41
00:02:29.599 --> 00:02:34.120
area where they had a ranch, and on this ranch,

42
00:02:35.240 --> 00:02:37.800
pretty much any wild animal you can think of and

43
00:02:38.400 --> 00:02:43.120
associated with Colorado that's what we had down there, pignon

44
00:02:43.240 --> 00:02:48.759
junipers and prairie grass plains and all sorts of different

45
00:02:48.840 --> 00:02:53.759
cactus and brush and various different foliage, but nothing that

46
00:02:53.800 --> 00:03:00.280
I would have struck me as habitat for a bigfoot.

47
00:03:01.000 --> 00:03:03.879
So I spent a lot of my time during school

48
00:03:03.879 --> 00:03:07.639
breaks and any kind of vacation time that we had

49
00:03:07.680 --> 00:03:10.960
going down there and just kind of exploring the area.

50
00:03:11.080 --> 00:03:12.879
There wasn't a whole lot else to do but to

51
00:03:12.919 --> 00:03:17.080
go out and really just be in nature, and so

52
00:03:17.360 --> 00:03:21.919
on one particular visit, I had been cruising around on

53
00:03:21.960 --> 00:03:26.879
a four wheeler and had actually gone over to a

54
00:03:26.919 --> 00:03:31.439
family's house to have dinner, and we had been there

55
00:03:31.479 --> 00:03:34.280
for several hours, and so about the time that everyone

56
00:03:34.360 --> 00:03:37.240
started to leave, I was a little bit behind everyone else.

57
00:03:37.439 --> 00:03:41.560
It was later in the evening, around time thirty at night,

58
00:03:42.319 --> 00:03:49.159
and couldn't have been better conditions. It was still not

59
00:03:49.280 --> 00:03:53.719
too cold, not too warm, probably somewhere around May when

60
00:03:53.719 --> 00:03:58.479
this all happened, and I hopped on the four wheeler

61
00:03:58.479 --> 00:04:00.319
because I had to take it back to the shop

62
00:04:00.319 --> 00:04:06.319
where it was supposed to be in Going from my

63
00:04:06.520 --> 00:04:09.000
aunt and uncle's house down to the ranch house where

64
00:04:09.039 --> 00:04:13.000
we had been staying, you have to go along a

65
00:04:13.039 --> 00:04:18.399
pretty Kirby road. The initial part of it is very wooded,

66
00:04:18.720 --> 00:04:22.800
has a lot of pinon junipers all lining the stretch

67
00:04:22.839 --> 00:04:25.600
of road for about a mile, and then it really

68
00:04:25.639 --> 00:04:28.360
opens up and you get into more of the pasture

69
00:04:28.399 --> 00:04:34.920
area where you just have kind of speckles of the

70
00:04:34.959 --> 00:04:39.279
different foliage and everything, but nothing too dense. And so

71
00:04:40.160 --> 00:04:44.040
I had gotten past the really dense parts of that

72
00:04:44.199 --> 00:04:48.959
road and everything was pretty visible. There was a full

73
00:04:48.959 --> 00:04:54.639
moon out, and didn't see anything. Didn't no animals, no,

74
00:04:54.639 --> 00:05:01.560
no weird feelings, no anything for this one particular stretch

75
00:05:01.560 --> 00:05:05.480
of the road. But then when you go about another

76
00:05:05.560 --> 00:05:11.839
mile or so, I came to a point where I

77
00:05:11.959 --> 00:05:16.759
had this overwhelming feeling like something was wishing death upon me,

78
00:05:18.319 --> 00:05:25.800
like I had absolute dread, absolute fear, could not think straight,

79
00:05:27.040 --> 00:05:30.079
was almost in a panic, looking every direction, trying to

80
00:05:30.079 --> 00:05:33.639
figure out what it was that I was suddenly experiencing

81
00:05:35.040 --> 00:05:38.720
this one particular road. There's there's not really a whole

82
00:05:38.720 --> 00:05:42.519
lot around it. There were some pinon Jennifer's right off

83
00:05:42.560 --> 00:05:45.600
to the side about half a mile ahead of me,

84
00:05:46.240 --> 00:05:49.959
but everything else was pretty far spread apart, and I

85
00:05:49.959 --> 00:05:54.319
couldn't see anything and so as I'm traveling along this road,

86
00:05:54.920 --> 00:05:59.199
I'm thinking in my head of anything like I need

87
00:05:59.199 --> 00:06:03.759
divine intervene or something, because whatever this is, it means

88
00:06:03.879 --> 00:06:10.480
me harm. And so I continue on cautiously but at

89
00:06:10.519 --> 00:06:14.079
full speed, trying to get through this stretch of road.

90
00:06:14.560 --> 00:06:18.879
And I start to go past these pinon junipers. And

91
00:06:18.920 --> 00:06:22.000
I didn't see anything when I was initially passing them.

92
00:06:22.639 --> 00:06:25.560
Nothing stuck out, no I shine, no nothing. But as

93
00:06:25.600 --> 00:06:30.199
I drove past them, I saw motion from behind me.

94
00:06:30.480 --> 00:06:37.040
So I turned to look, and outstepped this giant black

95
00:06:37.199 --> 00:06:43.160
figure and it took about two steps to where you

96
00:06:43.160 --> 00:06:46.639
could actually see the bend of the knee as it

97
00:06:46.720 --> 00:06:50.240
was making the steps up onto the road area. When

98
00:06:50.240 --> 00:06:53.759
it got to about the stretch of the road, it

99
00:06:55.000 --> 00:07:00.600
sprang forward, got down on all fours across the road,

100
00:07:00.800 --> 00:07:04.399
and took off across this pasture. And this pasture wasn't

101
00:07:04.439 --> 00:07:08.959
a small pasture. It should have taken anything at least

102
00:07:09.600 --> 00:07:12.480
a minute to get across, and this thing was. It

103
00:07:12.519 --> 00:07:21.279
cleared it in seconds. It was pitch black, ginormous. I've

104
00:07:21.399 --> 00:07:25.879
seen bear running down there. I've seen mountain lions, I've

105
00:07:25.879 --> 00:07:31.160
seen elk and deer and any of the bigger game

106
00:07:31.240 --> 00:07:33.600
animals that we could have had down there, that this

107
00:07:33.639 --> 00:07:36.839
could have been. And this was unlike anything I had

108
00:07:36.879 --> 00:07:42.800
seen before. It had a very unusual run when it

109
00:07:42.879 --> 00:07:45.920
ran to the closest thing I could wrap my head

110
00:07:45.959 --> 00:07:48.680
around is if you took a jack rabbit and a

111
00:07:48.720 --> 00:07:54.879
greyhound and you meshed their movements together. That was kind

112
00:07:54.920 --> 00:07:59.279
of what I saw. But even then that's barely hitting

113
00:07:59.319 --> 00:08:09.279
the mark. Absolutely terrifying and definitely changed how I interacted

114
00:08:09.360 --> 00:08:10.120
down there.

115
00:08:13.040 --> 00:08:16.079
That I can't imagine seeing that. I mean, your age

116
00:08:16.160 --> 00:08:20.480
is around twelve, from what you said before, that is

117
00:08:20.519 --> 00:08:24.920
some wild, wild stuff. How tall would you estimate that

118
00:08:25.079 --> 00:08:25.480
it was?

119
00:08:27.680 --> 00:08:34.440
It had to have been probably around seven There's trees

120
00:08:34.480 --> 00:08:37.240
down there, I mean they can get fairly big, but

121
00:08:37.600 --> 00:08:40.519
these ones off the side of the road were probably

122
00:08:40.559 --> 00:08:43.720
about maybe eight c and it blended in right along

123
00:08:43.759 --> 00:08:44.120
with them.

124
00:08:47.000 --> 00:08:49.600
So I want to make sure that I have the

125
00:08:49.679 --> 00:08:54.840
right way of imagining off of what you said. So

126
00:08:54.960 --> 00:08:58.039
it came up to the road, but it is it

127
00:08:58.080 --> 00:09:01.759
that's I'm imagining, Like when you see like not to

128
00:09:01.799 --> 00:09:04.279
say that's what it is, but like when you see

129
00:09:04.480 --> 00:09:09.559
a large cat like spring, it's like on all fours

130
00:09:09.639 --> 00:09:14.360
it springs across something. So was it like it was

131
00:09:14.440 --> 00:09:14.639
like it.

132
00:09:15.159 --> 00:09:17.519
Was diving across got it?

133
00:09:17.600 --> 00:09:18.000
Okay?

134
00:09:18.600 --> 00:09:22.559
So it went from these bushes. It took about, like

135
00:09:22.639 --> 00:09:26.000
I said, two steps, and when it took those two steps,

136
00:09:26.080 --> 00:09:30.159
you could see the knee come up on each of

137
00:09:30.159 --> 00:09:32.440
the legs. But when it got to the edge of

138
00:09:32.480 --> 00:09:35.159
the road, that's when it kind of sprang forward, like

139
00:09:35.320 --> 00:09:41.399
launched itself forward over the road. And I want to

140
00:09:41.440 --> 00:09:46.120
say it would have been the front hands, pause, whatever

141
00:09:46.320 --> 00:09:49.159
you want to call it, were the thing that touched

142
00:09:49.240 --> 00:09:53.120
ground first and then it took off from there.

143
00:09:59.279 --> 00:10:02.799
You said it was a full moon. Was there anything?

144
00:10:04.120 --> 00:10:09.519
Sometimes people report seeing specific weird things to do with

145
00:10:09.600 --> 00:10:13.279
the eyes when it's a nighttime encounter. Did you notice

146
00:10:13.320 --> 00:10:15.799
anything specific about the eyes?

147
00:10:17.000 --> 00:10:21.159
I noticed nothing. It caught me completely off guard.

148
00:10:22.840 --> 00:10:25.600
How long would you say the entire encounter.

149
00:10:25.639 --> 00:10:34.960
Took maybe thirty seconds before before it was too far

150
00:10:35.320 --> 00:10:36.600
for me to really see anything.

151
00:10:42.120 --> 00:10:46.360
And so let's see thirty seconds in all. What about

152
00:10:46.799 --> 00:10:50.440
the amount of time from when you see it take

153
00:10:50.519 --> 00:10:53.240
two steps and then up to the road and then

154
00:10:53.320 --> 00:10:58.200
spring across the road.

155
00:10:59.360 --> 00:11:03.720
Oh man, I am I mean that didn't take very

156
00:11:03.759 --> 00:11:06.480
long at all, because, like I said, theos were right

157
00:11:06.519 --> 00:11:10.720
off the side of the road, So you I mean

158
00:11:11.159 --> 00:11:15.799
this thing is it had quite the gay on it.

159
00:11:17.320 --> 00:11:22.600
So maybe another ten fifteen seconds gotcha?

160
00:11:22.720 --> 00:11:27.720
Okay? And then how far away from you was this

161
00:11:28.720 --> 00:11:32.960
what you saw again as it it sprang across the road?

162
00:11:33.679 --> 00:11:34.720
No more than ten feet?

163
00:11:35.240 --> 00:11:39.240
Oh man, I don't know how you got through that

164
00:11:39.279 --> 00:11:45.639
as a twelve year old. That is absolutely intense. In

165
00:11:45.679 --> 00:11:48.519
that short amount of time, were you able to see

166
00:11:48.559 --> 00:11:53.720
any any details that would have given you clues as

167
00:11:53.840 --> 00:12:00.200
to you know, I'm thinking maybe anything about that the

168
00:12:00.279 --> 00:12:05.879
hands or the arms or head shape.

169
00:12:05.360 --> 00:12:09.639
Nothing specifically about the upper body. The main things that

170
00:12:09.679 --> 00:12:12.720
stuck out to me were the bend in the knee

171
00:12:14.279 --> 00:12:17.840
and the color of it. The color of this thing

172
00:12:18.159 --> 00:12:20.879
was as if like the all the shadows around it

173
00:12:20.919 --> 00:12:22.519
were just being absorbed by it.

174
00:12:24.960 --> 00:12:28.080
I've heard that, I've heard similar to that from some

175
00:12:28.240 --> 00:12:34.279
Oregon encounters. That is just the just pitch black. Yeah, absorbing,

176
00:12:34.679 --> 00:12:38.480
That's that's a good way to put it. So what

177
00:12:38.679 --> 00:12:41.600
happened after you know, you're you're out on the four

178
00:12:41.600 --> 00:12:43.720
wheel or you're twelve years old and then you have

179
00:12:43.919 --> 00:12:47.279
this this life changing thing happened to you? What happened

180
00:12:47.320 --> 00:12:47.840
after that.

181
00:12:50.639 --> 00:12:59.039
Well, I mean that day was kind of the end

182
00:12:59.039 --> 00:13:03.840
of my exploring out outdoors in terms of of just

183
00:13:03.879 --> 00:13:06.639
feeling like I could go anywhere and not really have

184
00:13:06.720 --> 00:13:08.720
to worry because I, you know, I had always been

185
00:13:08.759 --> 00:13:12.440
taught about certain things to look out for, like look

186
00:13:12.480 --> 00:13:14.720
out for these tracks, or look out for this scat

187
00:13:14.879 --> 00:13:19.120
or you know, but nothing, nothing prepared me for anything

188
00:13:19.159 --> 00:13:21.240
like this, So I had no frame of reference at

189
00:13:21.279 --> 00:13:25.320
that time, Like Bigfoot was not even in my repertoire

190
00:13:25.320 --> 00:13:32.679
at that time, so I I couldn't feel I couldn't

191
00:13:32.720 --> 00:13:36.759
go out anymore, especially at night time, even even if

192
00:13:36.799 --> 00:13:40.440
it was just out in the front yard with the

193
00:13:40.519 --> 00:13:44.399
light there, I would feel uncomfortable. I to this day,

194
00:13:44.440 --> 00:13:46.960
I won't even drive down there at night with my

195
00:13:47.039 --> 00:13:50.519
windows rolled down in my car or be outside if

196
00:13:50.559 --> 00:13:52.799
I don't have a big group of people, I just

197
00:13:53.360 --> 00:13:54.279
it's too much.

198
00:14:00.120 --> 00:14:04.120
I can understand how it would definitely affect you like that.

199
00:14:05.000 --> 00:14:07.919
How long was it before you told someone else what

200
00:14:07.960 --> 00:14:13.200
you had experienced?

201
00:14:13.960 --> 00:14:23.039
Probably my mid twenties. Okay, Like I said, I didn't

202
00:14:23.039 --> 00:14:26.399
have any frame of reference for this, so for me,

203
00:14:28.200 --> 00:14:30.720
I guess I kind of they had been having a

204
00:14:30.720 --> 00:14:35.559
bunch of weird activity down there at that ranch house anyway.

205
00:14:35.600 --> 00:14:38.200
So I kind of just jumbled it all into that

206
00:14:38.360 --> 00:14:43.919
realm of like paranormal type stuff, and I almost thought like, Okay,

207
00:14:43.960 --> 00:14:46.960
this is something demonic because of how it made me feel.

208
00:14:47.240 --> 00:14:49.399
So I just kind of threw it in that basket

209
00:14:49.440 --> 00:14:52.399
because I, like I said, I didn't have any reference

210
00:14:52.440 --> 00:14:55.879
of Bigfoot. It wasn't something that people in my circle

211
00:14:55.919 --> 00:14:58.639
were talking about. People in my family like, I didn't

212
00:14:58.799 --> 00:15:01.120
you know this was before you could you a YouTube

213
00:15:01.159 --> 00:15:04.000
search or our Google search. I don't know that ask

214
00:15:04.120 --> 00:15:06.679
Jeeves really knew much about Bigfoot back then either.

215
00:15:06.919 --> 00:15:11.159
So right, it's a great point. There was not a

216
00:15:11.159 --> 00:15:16.279
lot of Bigfoot information on on accessible. I mean you

217
00:15:16.279 --> 00:15:19.279
would have had there be books in libraries and things

218
00:15:19.279 --> 00:15:21.360
of that nature, would be hard to get the information

219
00:15:21.559 --> 00:15:26.279
as as opposed to today where it's easy now. So

220
00:15:26.480 --> 00:15:29.519
you didn't talk about it until you were twenty. Were

221
00:15:29.559 --> 00:15:32.559
you ever able to have a conversation with the relatives

222
00:15:32.600 --> 00:15:35.919
that were from that area about what you experienced that day?

223
00:15:37.879 --> 00:15:41.639
Not with those relatives in particular. I have had conversations

224
00:15:41.639 --> 00:15:46.200
with my mother about it, because she grew up down

225
00:15:46.679 --> 00:15:52.639
on that ranch till about I think seventy three is

226
00:15:52.679 --> 00:15:55.879
when she was out of there, so she spent quite

227
00:15:55.879 --> 00:15:59.960
some time between the nineteen fifties and the nineteen seventies.

228
00:16:02.279 --> 00:16:06.159
Okay, what was her reaction when you told her what

229
00:16:06.200 --> 00:16:07.399
you experienced that night?

230
00:16:09.120 --> 00:16:13.879
She wasn't surprised at something like that could be down there.

231
00:16:14.039 --> 00:16:19.200
She never beyond the feelings of being watched at times.

232
00:16:19.639 --> 00:16:23.480
She never experienced anything herself, and so for her it

233
00:16:23.559 --> 00:16:27.039
was kind of a little bit of a surprise, but

234
00:16:27.120 --> 00:16:32.759
not too much, not out of the realm of possibility,

235
00:16:32.799 --> 00:16:35.679
but definitely not something that was on her radar either.

236
00:16:38.559 --> 00:16:43.120
And what a way to get introduced to the subject.

237
00:16:43.679 --> 00:16:49.600
How did this then affect you? Sometimes people, you know,

238
00:16:49.679 --> 00:16:52.519
they experience something like this and they launched into trying

239
00:16:52.559 --> 00:16:55.399
to figure out what it was or did it just

240
00:16:55.879 --> 00:16:58.919
you know, you said you were very, very apprehensive about

241
00:16:59.039 --> 00:17:02.360
going back to that area and really how you handled

242
00:17:02.399 --> 00:17:05.559
yourself outside.

243
00:17:05.880 --> 00:17:09.200
So I didn't dive into anything because, like I said,

244
00:17:09.240 --> 00:17:12.640
you know, I didn't really know what exactly I was facing,

245
00:17:12.680 --> 00:17:15.799
Like a right, I figured it was paranormal in some way,

246
00:17:15.799 --> 00:17:18.559
shape or form, or you know, That's what my mind

247
00:17:18.640 --> 00:17:23.200
kind of jumped to at the time, but I kind

248
00:17:23.200 --> 00:17:24.920
of just put it in the back of my mind

249
00:17:25.720 --> 00:17:28.680
with anything else that had ever happened down there, and

250
00:17:28.759 --> 00:17:32.640
just kind of moved forward. I would still go down

251
00:17:32.640 --> 00:17:35.839
and visit, but I would definitely, you know, change up

252
00:17:35.839 --> 00:17:38.519
my behaviors a little bit. I wouldn't walk as far

253
00:17:38.559 --> 00:17:41.160
as I normally would. I wouldn't go to to more

254
00:17:41.200 --> 00:17:46.119
of the wooded areas to go play or or do

255
00:17:46.319 --> 00:17:48.880
fe willing in more of the wooded areas, and I

256
00:17:48.880 --> 00:17:52.039
would definitely wouldn't go out at night. So it changed

257
00:17:52.400 --> 00:17:56.640
how I existed down there, but it didn't change my

258
00:17:57.680 --> 00:17:58.599
love for the area.

259
00:17:58.680 --> 00:18:03.000
If that makes sense, No, it absolutely does. You maybe

260
00:18:03.359 --> 00:18:05.759
you know, if I'm trying to put myself in that situation,

261
00:18:06.039 --> 00:18:10.000
I think I would. I would definitely be treating it.

262
00:18:11.599 --> 00:18:15.960
I'd be more apprehensive. I would maybe you just be

263
00:18:16.000 --> 00:18:18.640
aware that there's something else out there that you hadn't

264
00:18:18.680 --> 00:18:22.400
been told about as a younger child, and I think

265
00:18:23.079 --> 00:18:26.400
now I would be there would be a respect and

266
00:18:26.519 --> 00:18:30.759
definitely watching my back from here there on it. But yeah,

267
00:18:31.559 --> 00:18:32.920
there was pretty wild stuff.

268
00:18:33.960 --> 00:18:38.000
There was definitely one feeling of like I had always

269
00:18:38.000 --> 00:18:40.319
been told about the different animals and what to look

270
00:18:40.319 --> 00:18:43.039
out for so the fact that I wasn't told of

271
00:18:43.079 --> 00:18:48.000
anything in particular to that match this description. That also

272
00:18:48.440 --> 00:18:53.079
was kind of like an isolating feeling because then you know, okay,

273
00:18:53.160 --> 00:18:55.680
and what is it that I saw? Then?

274
00:18:55.960 --> 00:19:01.599
So do you remember in the years since then, was

275
00:19:01.640 --> 00:19:06.799
there let's say, maybe a book you read or something

276
00:19:06.799 --> 00:19:09.640
that you watched that made you realize, okay, what I

277
00:19:09.720 --> 00:19:13.519
experienced that night that could have been this thing that

278
00:19:13.559 --> 00:19:14.519
we're calling Bigfoot.

279
00:19:15.119 --> 00:19:17.880
It was actually the second encounter that did.

280
00:19:18.279 --> 00:19:22.920
Okay, all right, well, I think if you're good to go,

281
00:19:23.039 --> 00:19:24.920
I think that might be a good time to move

282
00:19:24.960 --> 00:19:26.839
into the second encounter then, okay.

283
00:19:27.680 --> 00:19:30.599
So the second kounter happened in May of two thousand

284
00:19:30.599 --> 00:19:33.400
and eight. At the time, I was a Brand News

285
00:19:33.440 --> 00:19:37.279
Banking marine. I was in marine combat training at Camp Geiger,

286
00:19:38.279 --> 00:19:42.279
and marine combat training is kind of like a continuation

287
00:19:42.359 --> 00:19:45.160
of boot camp where they kind of fine tune certain

288
00:19:45.200 --> 00:19:48.359
aspects of your training, where it's you're learning how to

289
00:19:48.480 --> 00:19:57.200
do various combat tactics, if you will. And one of

290
00:19:57.200 --> 00:19:59.160
the things that you had to do was you had

291
00:19:59.200 --> 00:20:02.400
to stand guard so that you could learn how to

292
00:20:04.359 --> 00:20:08.079
really perform those duties in case you did actually encounter

293
00:20:08.200 --> 00:20:13.599
something in your career, and so we had what was

294
00:20:13.640 --> 00:20:16.319
called a battle buddy at the time, which was basically

295
00:20:16.359 --> 00:20:19.079
another marine that you were assigned to kind of stick

296
00:20:19.119 --> 00:20:23.400
close to. And so my battle buddy and I we

297
00:20:23.440 --> 00:20:27.000
got assigned to a night guard duty and we got

298
00:20:27.039 --> 00:20:31.200
taken to this area. I have no idea exactly where

299
00:20:31.240 --> 00:20:34.880
on this base it was. We were kind of in

300
00:20:35.480 --> 00:20:40.200
a filled type position at the time, and so it

301
00:20:40.480 --> 00:20:45.839
was just rows of Quantt huts. You had one dirt

302
00:20:45.880 --> 00:20:49.000
road that would lead between the two Quantitt huts, and

303
00:20:49.039 --> 00:20:58.839
then on either side you had like maybe like a

304
00:21:00.240 --> 00:21:04.160
light or something not quite like a light pole. So

305
00:21:04.319 --> 00:21:06.680
you had one rode quants it hurt another road quantit

306
00:21:06.759 --> 00:21:10.200
hats and rode in between dirt road that dead ended

307
00:21:10.279 --> 00:21:14.039
at a fence that had constantina wire and then there

308
00:21:14.119 --> 00:21:16.200
was like a little mechanical shed at the very end

309
00:21:16.240 --> 00:21:20.039
of this which I assumed controlled all the lights. And

310
00:21:20.079 --> 00:21:24.039
so we were the second to the last ones that

311
00:21:24.119 --> 00:21:28.799
had just before that fence right underneath the spotlight, and

312
00:21:29.720 --> 00:21:32.000
I had to stay there all night. I don't remember

313
00:21:32.039 --> 00:21:35.839
exactly when we got there, but it was later in

314
00:21:35.880 --> 00:21:39.119
the evening as things were starting to get darker and

315
00:21:41.599 --> 00:21:45.359
everything seemed to be going pretty well. There hadn't really

316
00:21:45.400 --> 00:21:49.799
been any anything. There weren't any animals, there weren't any people.

317
00:21:50.359 --> 00:21:53.920
It was a very kind of remote location in terms

318
00:21:54.000 --> 00:21:59.319
of where all the other stuff was happening, and so

319
00:21:59.359 --> 00:22:02.920
we were kind of just standing there quietly, didn't have

320
00:22:02.960 --> 00:22:05.559
cell phones, didn't have anything like that to distract us,

321
00:22:05.640 --> 00:22:12.519
just us and our rifles and and all these these buildings,

322
00:22:12.559 --> 00:22:18.200
and somewhere around probably twelve thirty, I kind of just

323
00:22:18.240 --> 00:22:22.279
started getting this feeling like we were being watched. So

324
00:22:22.359 --> 00:22:26.519
I was looking around, trying not to make it obvious

325
00:22:26.559 --> 00:22:30.279
that I was really, you know, zoning in on things,

326
00:22:31.119 --> 00:22:33.359
because I thought initially there, you know, was one of

327
00:22:33.359 --> 00:22:37.480
our instructors coming to mess with us. And so I

328
00:22:37.480 --> 00:22:43.480
started scanning everything, and I couldn't really see anything along

329
00:22:44.880 --> 00:22:47.240
the gate area, or not the gate area, but the

330
00:22:47.240 --> 00:22:50.559
fence area. Didn't see anything around the quoncert huts and everything,

331
00:22:50.599 --> 00:22:54.519
and so I kind of just zoned off into the woodline,

332
00:22:54.720 --> 00:23:02.519
which was just outside of this fenced area. What I

333
00:23:02.559 --> 00:23:14.440
saw was basically like a figure very similar like to

334
00:23:14.440 --> 00:23:18.160
the first encounter, where it was that same kind of

335
00:23:18.279 --> 00:23:21.519
like black that just absorbs everything around it and it

336
00:23:21.559 --> 00:23:26.480
was just slightly darker than the shaded areas around the

337
00:23:26.559 --> 00:23:29.119
tree line that it was standing in, but it was

338
00:23:29.160 --> 00:23:34.079
standing in just past like the first row of trees.

339
00:23:34.880 --> 00:23:39.920
It didn't move beyond so I take it back. It

340
00:23:39.960 --> 00:23:42.680
moved ever so slightly when I first saw it, and

341
00:23:42.720 --> 00:23:45.640
that's kind of what alerted me to its presence. But

342
00:23:45.799 --> 00:23:49.519
beyond that, it just stood there and it watched. Didn't

343
00:23:49.559 --> 00:23:54.839
see any any eyeshine, didn't see anything super crazy. I

344
00:23:54.880 --> 00:23:59.279
could make out like more of the bipedal figure this time.

345
00:23:59.319 --> 00:24:03.920
I could make out kind of like the actual frame

346
00:24:04.000 --> 00:24:07.079
of a head and a shoulders, but couldn't see really

347
00:24:07.119 --> 00:24:11.359
any detail, and so I just kind of kept it

348
00:24:11.400 --> 00:24:15.440
in my view, but I didn't really let on to

349
00:24:15.559 --> 00:24:19.079
the fact that I had seen it. Or somewhere within

350
00:24:21.559 --> 00:24:25.440
I think maybe a couple hours, I noticed it just

351
00:24:25.519 --> 00:24:29.960
kind of like start to fade back into the background.

352
00:24:31.160 --> 00:24:35.079
And it just did that ever so slightly. You just

353
00:24:35.359 --> 00:24:38.000
noticed that it would get further and further back, but

354
00:24:38.119 --> 00:24:43.359
it wouldn't really move beyond that until it was completely

355
00:24:43.400 --> 00:24:49.599
out of view. And then maybe about two hours later

356
00:24:49.839 --> 00:24:52.599
is when the sun came up. And that's about the

357
00:24:52.640 --> 00:24:56.519
extent of that one Okay.

358
00:24:56.240 --> 00:25:00.400
So that is that's some really interesting stuff. Would you

359
00:25:00.440 --> 00:25:04.599
say the distance was from where you were at to

360
00:25:05.440 --> 00:25:07.960
where it was standing in the tree line.

361
00:25:08.400 --> 00:25:13.359
Somewhere between twenty and thirty feet, because I think we

362
00:25:13.559 --> 00:25:17.640
had one quantit hit between us and then the fence line,

363
00:25:17.680 --> 00:25:21.920
and from the fence line to where the tray line

364
00:25:21.960 --> 00:25:23.160
was was probably another.

365
00:25:25.519 --> 00:25:32.359
Ten feet, all right. And it sounded like you were

366
00:25:32.839 --> 00:25:38.079
able to see it there for a few hours, oh man.

367
00:25:38.720 --> 00:25:41.720
And it didn't seem you know, it didn't seem threatening

368
00:25:41.839 --> 00:25:46.839
or anything like that. I got more of like just

369
00:25:46.880 --> 00:25:49.119
like it was bored or curious and it was just

370
00:25:51.279 --> 00:25:54.839
watching to see what, you know, these two people were doing.

371
00:25:56.839 --> 00:26:03.279
What would you say, were there any giveaways that or

372
00:26:03.359 --> 00:26:07.880
details you notice that that told you, Okay, I'm looking

373
00:26:07.920 --> 00:26:14.039
at something different and this isn't just another marine that's

374
00:26:14.079 --> 00:26:17.319
spying on us and making sure that the new recruits

375
00:26:17.319 --> 00:26:19.519
are doing what they're supposed.

376
00:26:19.119 --> 00:26:22.359
To be doing. There were a couple things. So one

377
00:26:22.480 --> 00:26:24.759
the area, it would have been kind of a difficult

378
00:26:24.759 --> 00:26:29.000
area for them to get to. I mean, North Carolina

379
00:26:29.000 --> 00:26:32.519
has a lot of dense forest area to begin with,

380
00:26:33.920 --> 00:26:38.000
so being in that kind of environment and that close

381
00:26:38.079 --> 00:26:41.440
to a military base in general, would probably you know,

382
00:26:41.880 --> 00:26:46.200
be not be impossible, but it would be quite a

383
00:26:46.200 --> 00:26:51.480
difficult task to go and really be fun detected by

384
00:26:52.160 --> 00:26:57.079
powers higher than me, I imagine. But two is the

385
00:26:57.119 --> 00:27:01.160
size because those are also not small trees. I mean,

386
00:27:01.279 --> 00:27:07.359
it was much different than opinion on juniper. Those those

387
00:27:07.400 --> 00:27:10.799
are fairly small compared to you like the tree height

388
00:27:10.839 --> 00:27:16.240
that you can get in North Carolina. And with that,

389
00:27:16.599 --> 00:27:20.920
I mean you could tell that it was close to

390
00:27:21.039 --> 00:27:26.359
the branch height of these taller trees. I wouldn't say

391
00:27:26.440 --> 00:27:29.039
it wasn't like high up into the canopy, but it

392
00:27:29.119 --> 00:27:31.559
definitely was blending right along with the trunk to the

393
00:27:31.599 --> 00:27:33.960
lower branches of these things.

394
00:27:36.279 --> 00:27:38.599
Would you be able to try to put a number

395
00:27:38.680 --> 00:27:40.759
to what you think the height would be of it?

396
00:27:44.440 --> 00:27:53.039
Mmm? Probably about eight eight maybe?

397
00:27:53.440 --> 00:27:58.960
Okay, gotcha? And then you'd mentioned that you could see,

398
00:27:59.240 --> 00:28:01.839
you know, like the frame of the head and the shoulders.

399
00:28:02.200 --> 00:28:06.279
Were you able to tell anything about like the shape

400
00:28:06.319 --> 00:28:07.039
of the head at all?

401
00:28:10.960 --> 00:28:14.519
The shoulders and the head all seemed to kind of

402
00:28:14.519 --> 00:28:18.160
go in like together, they didn't. There didn't seem to

403
00:28:18.200 --> 00:28:23.079
be a whole lot of definition. So devoid of a neck,

404
00:28:23.160 --> 00:28:28.960
I guess is what you could say as far as

405
00:28:29.079 --> 00:28:32.759
like if there was a round head or a conical

406
00:28:32.799 --> 00:28:34.920
head or anything like that. I couldn't really tell you

407
00:28:35.400 --> 00:28:39.960
based just because of how the leaves and the tree

408
00:28:40.279 --> 00:28:43.319
and the shadows kind of like fell on everything.

409
00:28:47.400 --> 00:29:00.640
Gotcha, how about this, Let's say you're trying to put

410
00:29:00.680 --> 00:29:05.640
an estimate on how heavy it was or could you

411
00:29:05.759 --> 00:29:11.920
notice anything about the type of a frame it had? Overall?

412
00:29:14.640 --> 00:29:20.400
It was extremely bulky, because my initial thought when I

413
00:29:20.440 --> 00:29:23.400
saw this figure was Okay, you know, this is just

414
00:29:23.880 --> 00:29:28.119
some instructor that's going to be messing with this. But

415
00:29:29.599 --> 00:29:31.799
the more I looked at it, the more I realized

416
00:29:31.839 --> 00:29:34.839
that the size didn't match, because I mean, you have

417
00:29:35.000 --> 00:29:37.799
some marines that are pretty bulky in their size, but

418
00:29:37.880 --> 00:29:44.200
this was, particularly the width of the shoulders seemed completely

419
00:29:47.480 --> 00:29:50.039
out of the realm of human possibility, if you will.

420
00:29:55.839 --> 00:30:01.359
It's it's really hard to say, because part of the

421
00:30:01.400 --> 00:30:06.559
frame was along in that that tree area, and it

422
00:30:06.599 --> 00:30:10.240
was only you know, I could only see so much

423
00:30:11.119 --> 00:30:13.359
between the shadows and the trees, because like I said,

424
00:30:13.359 --> 00:30:16.200
it was standing within that first row of trees.

425
00:30:20.480 --> 00:30:25.960
How wide across? Would you would you think that the shoulders.

426
00:30:25.480 --> 00:30:28.680
Were oh, four four feet easy.

427
00:30:29.359 --> 00:30:33.279
Yeah, okay, that's wild stuff. Oh yeah.

428
00:30:33.319 --> 00:30:37.039
And the other thing too, is the next day nobody

429
00:30:37.039 --> 00:30:41.359
said anything to us. Was that. So that was a

430
00:30:41.400 --> 00:30:44.480
big kind of like question mark on there, because you know,

431
00:30:44.519 --> 00:30:48.119
if it had been an instructor or something, I would

432
00:30:48.119 --> 00:30:50.480
have expected to have my butt handed to me, Like

433
00:30:50.640 --> 00:30:55.000
how come you didn't? Uh, how come you didn't say anything?

434
00:30:55.039 --> 00:30:59.519
How come you didn't you know, interact with this figure

435
00:30:59.599 --> 00:31:03.240
you saw? Ah, because we like I said, I didn't

436
00:31:03.240 --> 00:31:07.559
tell my battle buddy anything that I was seeing. But

437
00:31:07.680 --> 00:31:11.880
the next day I nobody came to debrief, nobody came

438
00:31:11.920 --> 00:31:14.519
to like question me, nothing like that. It was just

439
00:31:14.640 --> 00:31:17.960
like I saw something and no one else in the

440
00:31:17.960 --> 00:31:19.400
world knew about it.

441
00:31:20.200 --> 00:31:24.599
Okay. Now, during those hours that you were noticing this

442
00:31:24.759 --> 00:31:29.039
and watching it, did you at any time hear any

443
00:31:29.319 --> 00:31:30.799
sound from that area?

444
00:31:31.480 --> 00:31:33.359
No? No, no sound?

445
00:31:33.720 --> 00:31:35.920
Oh wow, so completely quiet the whole time.

446
00:31:36.640 --> 00:31:41.559
Yeah, and I'm talking like, no, no insects, no animals,

447
00:31:41.599 --> 00:31:42.160
no nothing.

448
00:31:44.359 --> 00:31:49.000
Okay. So that is definitely, uh, that's extremely interesting. And

449
00:31:49.440 --> 00:31:52.000
so I'll reframe my question in a minute a different way,

450
00:31:52.039 --> 00:31:54.079
but that is really good to know. So you're not

451
00:31:54.799 --> 00:31:59.880
you're not hearing any environment environmental sound Uh did that?

452
00:32:01.759 --> 00:32:04.960
Was that what it was like the whole time or

453
00:32:05.039 --> 00:32:09.119
did that kick in at a certain time during that night.

454
00:32:09.440 --> 00:32:12.000
The whole time, well, I mean the whole time of

455
00:32:12.039 --> 00:32:19.079
the encounter. I want to say that I don't remember

456
00:32:19.119 --> 00:32:22.400
any animals during that time, but there were definitely bugs

457
00:32:22.680 --> 00:32:27.079
at one point, but I don't remember there being any

458
00:32:27.119 --> 00:32:29.799
sort of sound during this this timeframe.

459
00:32:31.160 --> 00:32:34.359
Okay, gotcha. So let's pretend that you're in that area

460
00:32:34.599 --> 00:32:37.519
and that you have your eyes closed and so you're

461
00:32:37.559 --> 00:32:40.359
just using your ears. There would be nothing that you're

462
00:32:40.359 --> 00:32:43.359
hearing from that area that would tell you there's something

463
00:32:43.519 --> 00:32:47.839
over in that tree line, right. Wow, Okay, so that

464
00:32:47.839 --> 00:32:51.240
that's pretty freaky. I mean, you're seeing something that you're

465
00:32:51.319 --> 00:32:55.000
estimating to be eight feet tall, four feet across at

466
00:32:55.039 --> 00:32:59.200
the shoulders, and not making a sound of any kind

467
00:32:59.359 --> 00:32:59.799
for hours.

468
00:33:00.079 --> 00:33:04.839
Thing not not a tree break, not leaves crunching, nothing.

469
00:33:05.519 --> 00:33:09.039
I The only thing that tipped me off to there

470
00:33:09.079 --> 00:33:12.640
being something was feeling like something was watching us.

471
00:33:14.880 --> 00:33:17.440
My goodness. Did you ever have a conversation with your

472
00:33:17.440 --> 00:33:19.680
battle buddy after this about what happened?

473
00:33:21.079 --> 00:33:25.319
No? No, we weren't on the best of terms, so

474
00:33:25.400 --> 00:33:27.200
we didn't talk more than what we had to.

475
00:33:27.519 --> 00:33:33.039
So I got you, I got it. That's wild, though,

476
00:33:33.079 --> 00:33:35.200
if you think about it, there's someone out there that

477
00:33:35.279 --> 00:33:39.640
to this day have no idea that during training there

478
00:33:39.720 --> 00:33:42.759
is a big foot right there. Can you imagine like

479
00:33:42.799 --> 00:33:44.559
what would happen if and I don't know if you

480
00:33:44.599 --> 00:33:46.640
guys would have had weapons on you at all, but

481
00:33:46.759 --> 00:33:49.519
like what would happen if you started, you know, shooting

482
00:33:49.519 --> 00:33:53.599
weapons towards that direction? I mean, it could have been terrible.

483
00:33:53.920 --> 00:33:57.799
You know, I wonder sometimes how much the weapons actually

484
00:33:57.839 --> 00:34:01.200
played into it, because we did have M sixteen at

485
00:34:01.200 --> 00:34:03.799
that time. They weren't allowing us to have them loaded,

486
00:34:04.839 --> 00:34:07.920
but obviously this thing wouldn't have known that, so we

487
00:34:08.000 --> 00:34:12.519
did have them on our persons. But so I kind

488
00:34:12.559 --> 00:34:16.400
of wonder between you know, I don't really think the

489
00:34:16.440 --> 00:34:18.800
fence would have been much of an obstacle, but between

490
00:34:19.079 --> 00:34:21.719
us and the weapons, there being two of us and

491
00:34:23.239 --> 00:34:26.679
essentially being armed, if that was like if that changed

492
00:34:26.719 --> 00:34:28.760
how the interaction went down, or if it would have

493
00:34:28.800 --> 00:34:31.800
been a completely different interaction had it not been the case.

494
00:34:32.159 --> 00:34:35.199
Because there again, we were both females as well.

495
00:34:35.239 --> 00:34:41.000
So and that's actually half a second before you said that,

496
00:34:41.039 --> 00:34:43.280
I was like another thing is they're both females too,

497
00:34:43.320 --> 00:34:45.880
and I wonder, you know, sometimes that does play, it

498
00:34:46.119 --> 00:34:50.039
actually plays. I think it plays a ton into encounters

499
00:34:50.079 --> 00:34:53.599
if there are females present. And that's a whole discussion

500
00:34:53.760 --> 00:34:58.000
in itself. Did the topic of bigfoot or anything else

501
00:34:58.280 --> 00:35:00.800
is strange like that other crypto it's ever come up

502
00:35:00.880 --> 00:35:03.639
during your training at that camp?

503
00:35:03.920 --> 00:35:08.559
Yeah, okay, No, we didn't hear anything. We didn't get

504
00:35:08.559 --> 00:35:10.840
any sort of brief about any kind of animals or

505
00:35:10.840 --> 00:35:14.199
anything like that. And that's not even you know, suspicious

506
00:35:14.239 --> 00:35:18.760
animals that could have been like coyotes for instance. They

507
00:35:18.800 --> 00:35:20.880
didn't have any sort of briefing for us on any

508
00:35:20.960 --> 00:35:24.199
kind of animals. I guess, you know, they assumed that

509
00:35:25.000 --> 00:35:26.639
we were in the fence, so we were good.

510
00:35:26.679 --> 00:35:27.079
I don't know.

511
00:35:27.519 --> 00:35:33.119
But which is another good point. All this happened within

512
00:35:33.880 --> 00:35:39.000
the fenced in area of this marine training camp. Correct.

513
00:35:39.519 --> 00:35:41.679
Now, we were in the fence line, but it was

514
00:35:42.039 --> 00:35:45.000
ten feet outside, at least ten feet outside of the

515
00:35:45.039 --> 00:35:45.679
fence line.

516
00:35:45.719 --> 00:35:48.960
Thank you, thank you. That that makes a huge difference. Okay,

517
00:35:49.000 --> 00:35:52.639
so you're inside the fence, but it is watching you

518
00:35:52.719 --> 00:35:55.559
from the outside of the fence forever. Oh my goodness.

519
00:35:55.559 --> 00:35:56.559
That is so wild.

520
00:35:57.599 --> 00:36:00.840
Yeah, for at least a couple hours it was watching

521
00:36:01.320 --> 00:36:04.840
like I wasn't you know, I wasn't checking my watch

522
00:36:04.920 --> 00:36:07.840
regularly or anything. But I do remember at some point

523
00:36:08.039 --> 00:36:10.400
before this all started, I had looked down at my

524
00:36:10.440 --> 00:36:12.599
watch and it was past midnight, So I can tell

525
00:36:12.639 --> 00:36:14.639
you that much. You know, it was past midnight and

526
00:36:14.679 --> 00:36:16.679
it was before the sun came up by at least

527
00:36:16.679 --> 00:36:20.840
a couple hours. But for the vast majority of the time,

528
00:36:20.880 --> 00:36:23.480
this thing was just chilling in the forest line watching

529
00:36:23.519 --> 00:36:24.920
this man.

530
00:36:25.000 --> 00:36:28.079
It makes you wonder, like, what is what is going

531
00:36:28.119 --> 00:36:31.199
on on the big Foot side there? Is it like

532
00:36:31.360 --> 00:36:36.000
they're they're watching they feel like they're watching something at

533
00:36:36.000 --> 00:36:37.840
the zoo or like I mean, if you look at

534
00:36:37.880 --> 00:36:40.960
the map in this area, there's a ton of forests

535
00:36:41.000 --> 00:36:42.639
around this area too.

536
00:36:42.840 --> 00:36:47.719
Yeah, it is extremely dem Yeah, a lot a lot

537
00:36:47.760 --> 00:36:51.840
of forest, plenty of wildlife and waterways. I mean we

538
00:36:51.880 --> 00:36:54.119
would have wildlife on the bases all the time, like

539
00:36:54.159 --> 00:36:58.519
in Le June, and the waterways would go all the

540
00:36:58.519 --> 00:37:02.400
way through there. I mean you you had every sort

541
00:37:02.400 --> 00:37:06.360
of different thing from like little creeks to like an ocean.

542
00:37:07.559 --> 00:37:13.440
So absolutely, and yeah, that's a important detail. This is

543
00:37:14.039 --> 00:37:17.760
definitely when people think North Carolina, I think they're thinking

544
00:37:17.800 --> 00:37:20.400
over by Asheville, but I mean you're over by the

545
00:37:20.440 --> 00:37:22.840
Atlantic Ocean pretty much in this situation.

546
00:37:22.960 --> 00:37:25.400
Yeah, we're right off the coast there.

547
00:37:25.719 --> 00:37:27.880
Yeah, so that is an important thing. Now, how did

548
00:37:27.960 --> 00:37:34.719
this you know you have this experience? Did you know

549
00:37:35.000 --> 00:37:37.679
right away? Did you have a feeling like, Okay, what

550
00:37:37.719 --> 00:37:40.119
I'm seeing this is a big foot? Or did it

551
00:37:40.159 --> 00:37:43.079
take some time for you to also make the connection

552
00:37:43.159 --> 00:37:45.960
of what I experienced that night was was probably a

553
00:37:45.960 --> 00:37:46.519
big fun.

554
00:37:47.400 --> 00:37:49.039
So it took me a little bit of time. But

555
00:37:49.119 --> 00:37:51.199
that was also around the time when they had like

556
00:37:51.480 --> 00:37:55.320
monster quests coming out with like their their Bigfoot episodes.

557
00:37:55.440 --> 00:37:58.599
So yeah, I remember watching that and kind of like

558
00:37:59.440 --> 00:38:02.199
it wasn't I think when it aired on TV, but

559
00:38:02.239 --> 00:38:04.239
it was like you could go back and watch it

560
00:38:04.280 --> 00:38:07.639
on like Verizon had a thing on your phone where

561
00:38:07.679 --> 00:38:10.840
you could watch certain TV episodes or something, and that

562
00:38:11.000 --> 00:38:14.039
was like the cool new feature. And so I remember

563
00:38:14.159 --> 00:38:18.639
watching something about Bigfoot on there and kind of being like, huh, okay,

564
00:38:19.360 --> 00:38:23.239
so that would make sense because that's what I saw,

565
00:38:23.559 --> 00:38:25.639
or at least that looks a heck of a lot

566
00:38:25.719 --> 00:38:29.559
like what I saw and then of course that sighting

567
00:38:29.599 --> 00:38:32.880
too was also like, well, that seems very similar to

568
00:38:32.920 --> 00:38:34.840
the thing that I saw when I was twelve. So

569
00:38:35.400 --> 00:38:38.280
that's when like the puzzle pieces started to really connect.

570
00:38:42.000 --> 00:38:46.000
Totally totally got it. And then for future listeners, she

571
00:38:46.199 --> 00:38:49.760
is talking about the original run with Doug Hicheck, just

572
00:38:50.320 --> 00:38:55.719
so people are clear on that, and that's that's extremely interesting.

573
00:38:55.679 --> 00:39:00.440
And that was only your you said your second encounter, right, yes,

574
00:39:01.920 --> 00:39:05.079
Oh my goodness, okay, so let's see so that that

575
00:39:05.239 --> 00:39:08.880
was two thousand and eight. You are, let's see, so

576
00:39:12.199 --> 00:39:15.119
you're probably in your thirties at that time. I would

577
00:39:15.159 --> 00:39:18.679
guess no, I was.

578
00:39:18.920 --> 00:39:20.920
Oh so I take it back. So the first encounter

579
00:39:21.039 --> 00:39:24.920
actually would have been I said late nineties, but it

580
00:39:24.920 --> 00:39:27.239
would have been early two thousands, so it probably would

581
00:39:27.239 --> 00:39:29.679
have been like two thousand and one, two thousand and two. Okay,

582
00:39:29.760 --> 00:39:33.320
so at that time I was about eighteen for the

583
00:39:33.360 --> 00:39:34.079
second encounter.

584
00:39:34.480 --> 00:39:42.599
Oh okay, cool, Sorry, that's that's cool. Okay. So all right,

585
00:39:42.679 --> 00:39:47.079
so then yeah, let's let's move on to your third

586
00:39:47.199 --> 00:39:48.039
experience then.

587
00:39:48.800 --> 00:39:55.239
Okay, So my third experience, So my husband and I

588
00:39:55.280 --> 00:39:58.000
were celebrating our first wedding anniversary and this was in

589
00:39:58.079 --> 00:40:01.440
September of two thousand and ninety, and so we had

590
00:40:01.440 --> 00:40:03.679
decided that we were going to take a weekend trip

591
00:40:03.760 --> 00:40:06.800
down to Maceverde so that we could do hiking, because

592
00:40:06.800 --> 00:40:09.960
that was our thing. We would go and we would

593
00:40:10.039 --> 00:40:17.679
do the whatever close destinations we could in state, do

594
00:40:17.840 --> 00:40:21.679
hiking trips, occasionally go camping and things like that. And

595
00:40:21.719 --> 00:40:27.039
so we went down there the night before, stayed in

596
00:40:27.119 --> 00:40:29.960
Cortes so we could get up early the next morning,

597
00:40:30.519 --> 00:40:33.360
and so on the twenty third is when we would

598
00:40:33.400 --> 00:40:37.639
have been in Maceverde, and we got a pretty early start.

599
00:40:39.000 --> 00:40:42.360
We were there maybe an hour after the park initially opens,

600
00:40:42.639 --> 00:40:47.519
and at that time one of the trails was closed.

601
00:40:49.880 --> 00:40:53.119
I forget exactly which one it was that was closed,

602
00:40:53.159 --> 00:40:57.119
but we were able to do the petrografh trail and

603
00:40:57.320 --> 00:41:01.920
the Canyon Trail for hiking, and then we went and

604
00:41:02.000 --> 00:41:05.239
saw the actual Cliff Palace, so those three were at

605
00:41:05.320 --> 00:41:11.519
least open. And so initially we started our hike in

606
00:41:11.559 --> 00:41:16.559
the Petriclyffe trail and then ended with the Canyon trail.

607
00:41:17.039 --> 00:41:19.639
So for the Petrickclyffe trail, you basically you go in

608
00:41:19.639 --> 00:41:23.840
this area that hikes up along the canyon until you

609
00:41:23.920 --> 00:41:27.159
get to the petric glyphs, and then it's a short

610
00:41:27.159 --> 00:41:30.119
distance after that where you basically cross the canyon and

611
00:41:30.159 --> 00:41:36.159
you're out back into the main area. And so when

612
00:41:36.280 --> 00:41:40.400
we were on that trail, I don't think we had

613
00:41:40.440 --> 00:41:43.320
been on there for very long, maybe ten or fifteen minutes,

614
00:41:43.360 --> 00:41:47.039
and I started to get this filling like something wasn't

615
00:41:47.119 --> 00:41:51.280
quite right. And I don't know that I would necessarily

616
00:41:51.280 --> 00:41:53.360
say it like I felt like I was being watched.

617
00:41:54.159 --> 00:41:59.559
I just felt like uneasy. And as we continue to

618
00:41:59.599 --> 00:42:03.159
go off on that trail, the filling kind of got

619
00:42:03.199 --> 00:42:08.800
more intense. I just felt like, Okay, something could possibly

620
00:42:08.840 --> 00:42:13.280
go wrong here. So I loved taking photos of nature

621
00:42:13.320 --> 00:42:16.079
and things like that, and we had a daughter back

622
00:42:16.119 --> 00:42:20.000
home with my mom at the time who loved wildflowers,

623
00:42:20.000 --> 00:42:22.880
So I was taking pictures of flowers and rock formations

624
00:42:22.920 --> 00:42:26.239
and all that stuff. And so I remember feeling like

625
00:42:26.320 --> 00:42:31.159
I needed to take extra pictures of our locations, like

626
00:42:32.599 --> 00:42:36.000
in case something went wrong, they would if they found

627
00:42:36.000 --> 00:42:39.400
my phone, they would know exactly where we left off

628
00:42:39.800 --> 00:42:46.440
so they could start searching. And so I started doing that.

629
00:42:46.519 --> 00:42:48.880
I started taking extra photos. I think by the end

630
00:42:48.920 --> 00:42:50.760
of it, I ended up with like two hundred and

631
00:42:50.760 --> 00:42:56.320
fifty plus photos, but that Philly never subsided. The entire

632
00:42:56.559 --> 00:42:59.760
rest of the time that we were hiking through these areas,

633
00:43:00.360 --> 00:43:06.639
I felt that uneasy, filling, and it didn't matter how

634
00:43:06.719 --> 00:43:09.719
high up we were or how you know, low in

635
00:43:09.760 --> 00:43:13.760
the canyon valley. We were Like I said, the petroglyph

636
00:43:13.840 --> 00:43:16.519
trail goes along the canyon, but then the canyon trail

637
00:43:16.599 --> 00:43:19.519
itself goes down into the canyon and loops back up.

638
00:43:20.280 --> 00:43:23.679
And this entire time that we're hiking through all these

639
00:43:23.760 --> 00:43:29.480
areas there's dense wilderness or there's like rock outcroppings and

640
00:43:30.199 --> 00:43:37.679
all sorts of different features and scenery and foliage and everything.

641
00:43:38.159 --> 00:43:42.840
I mean, what you would think of for that area

642
00:43:42.920 --> 00:43:47.559
of Colorado. It's not exactly the most like you would

643
00:43:47.559 --> 00:43:52.639
think more desert, like you wouldn't think, you know, bigfoot habitats.

644
00:43:53.000 --> 00:43:55.679
It's not something that I was thinking about. I thought

645
00:43:55.719 --> 00:43:57.920
like as soon as we left more of like the

646
00:43:57.960 --> 00:44:01.440
Pagosa Springs area the during gos that that was it

647
00:44:01.719 --> 00:44:05.280
like we were out of the potential areas where something

648
00:44:05.320 --> 00:44:08.679
like that would live and into more of the desert

649
00:44:08.719 --> 00:44:11.599
canyon areas, and it was just it kind of blew

650
00:44:11.639 --> 00:44:16.920
my mind exactly how densely wooded this area was, and

651
00:44:18.920 --> 00:44:25.880
just really eer refilling the entire time. So we get

652
00:44:25.920 --> 00:44:29.440
done with the hikes, we go back, and of course,

653
00:44:29.480 --> 00:44:32.480
like I said, you know, I wasn't expecting bigfoot in

654
00:44:32.519 --> 00:44:35.559
this area. That was not a saying in my brain

655
00:44:35.639 --> 00:44:38.280
like that that couldn't happen. They couldn't live down there.

656
00:44:38.760 --> 00:44:42.519
So I didn't immediately do a deep dive into my

657
00:44:42.599 --> 00:44:45.039
photos to see if I caught anything or anything like that,

658
00:44:45.119 --> 00:44:48.280
like that's not at all what the purpose that those were.

659
00:44:49.639 --> 00:44:52.800
It wasn't until a couple years later when I was

660
00:44:52.840 --> 00:44:57.320
actually trying to do some art pieces for our house

661
00:44:58.880 --> 00:45:01.360
where I started to kind of go through those pictures

662
00:45:01.960 --> 00:45:04.639
and really dive into like the different areas and the

663
00:45:04.679 --> 00:45:09.480
different angles and zooming into things. And that's when I

664
00:45:09.559 --> 00:45:14.679
happened to cross this one figure. The first one that

665
00:45:14.760 --> 00:45:18.719
I saw was the figure poking out of the tree

666
00:45:18.960 --> 00:45:24.519
where I saw it and I thought, surely not, like

667
00:45:26.039 --> 00:45:29.000
what is this thing? You know? And the more I

668
00:45:29.039 --> 00:45:32.239
looked at it, every different way I tried to look

669
00:45:32.280 --> 00:45:35.559
at it and making it brighter, making it darker, any

670
00:45:35.559 --> 00:45:38.320
different way, like, it didn't change what I was seeing.

671
00:45:38.360 --> 00:45:40.840
I was still seeing this figure. I was still seeing

672
00:45:41.400 --> 00:45:47.039
something reach out with one hand and the eyeballs and there,

673
00:45:47.280 --> 00:45:54.519
you know. So that led me kind of into a

674
00:45:55.920 --> 00:45:58.239
deep dive into these photographs to see if I could

675
00:45:58.280 --> 00:46:01.239
find anything else. And then I found some thing. And

676
00:46:01.320 --> 00:46:06.639
that's when I started looking at this figure that was

677
00:46:06.639 --> 00:46:11.280
standing across the canyon. And there again, from a distance,

678
00:46:11.400 --> 00:46:14.440
or if you weren't really paying attention, these things would

679
00:46:14.480 --> 00:46:17.920
just look like trees. But there there was this thing

680
00:46:18.119 --> 00:46:23.719
standing behind this tree across the canyon and doing a

681
00:46:23.800 --> 00:46:27.639
very poor job of it because it looked pretty distant

682
00:46:27.679 --> 00:46:32.480
from the tree, if you will. But and so I

683
00:46:32.559 --> 00:46:36.559
kind of sat with those for a while, would occasionally

684
00:46:37.480 --> 00:46:40.440
pull them out home to you know, a family member

685
00:46:40.519 --> 00:46:43.400
here and there, or maybe a friend, but I didn't

686
00:46:43.400 --> 00:46:47.119
really do anything. And then I started kind of getting

687
00:46:47.199 --> 00:46:50.880
it more into Bigfoot and started listening to podcasts like

688
00:46:50.920 --> 00:46:55.800
I started listening to Like West's podcast, and then I

689
00:46:55.840 --> 00:46:58.920
got into listening to yours, and that led me to

690
00:46:59.000 --> 00:47:03.159
actually reaching out to you, and in doing so, I

691
00:47:03.199 --> 00:47:05.400
wanted to go back and look at those photos, making

692
00:47:05.400 --> 00:47:09.000
sure like I had everything for you for the interview.

693
00:47:09.880 --> 00:47:14.360
And that's when I noticed that second one or not

694
00:47:14.440 --> 00:47:17.239
the second one, but the third one. And that third

695
00:47:17.280 --> 00:47:20.480
one is the one that I think looks like a

696
00:47:20.559 --> 00:47:25.599
female holding an infant standing with like a side profile

697
00:47:26.320 --> 00:47:28.880
right next to the tree like it's going down, like

698
00:47:28.920 --> 00:47:30.599
it's going to go past the tree.

699
00:47:35.360 --> 00:47:38.920
They really are some interesting photos, and it's okay that

700
00:47:39.000 --> 00:47:41.039
you had said it's okay to put them in the

701
00:47:41.159 --> 00:47:41.920
YouTube version.

702
00:47:42.039 --> 00:47:44.719
Correct. Yeah, absolutely absolutely.

703
00:47:46.280 --> 00:47:52.599
The one. Yeah, I mean, man, there's there is definitely

704
00:47:52.599 --> 00:47:54.840
what you have one zoomed in and I mean you

705
00:47:54.880 --> 00:47:59.920
can see what looks like it is. It looks like

706
00:48:00.119 --> 00:48:02.559
is reaching a handout and you can see like two

707
00:48:02.599 --> 00:48:07.079
eyes and like it's just it is. It's really wild stuff.

708
00:48:07.119 --> 00:48:10.960
I see a lot of photos, but but uh, these

709
00:48:11.000 --> 00:48:15.760
are some pretty pretty interesting things. Have you been back

710
00:48:15.760 --> 00:48:17.039
to this area since then?

711
00:48:17.599 --> 00:48:21.159
I have not, And that's not to say that I

712
00:48:21.199 --> 00:48:24.840
wouldn't go back there. It's just time hasn't allowed for it.

713
00:48:24.920 --> 00:48:28.159
But so with that initial picture that you were just

714
00:48:28.199 --> 00:48:35.400
talking about, that one was crazy. So that one when

715
00:48:35.440 --> 00:48:39.039
you look at so if I go back and I

716
00:48:39.079 --> 00:48:42.360
look at some of my other photos, we were literally

717
00:48:43.559 --> 00:48:48.280
a minute from where the Petrick glyphs were and it

718
00:48:48.559 --> 00:48:52.599
was right off of the would have been the right

719
00:48:52.639 --> 00:48:55.199
hand side of the trail from where the Petrick glyphs

720
00:48:55.199 --> 00:48:57.840
were in the tree line over there. So I don't

721
00:48:57.840 --> 00:49:01.920
know how how far that would have been, and maybe

722
00:49:01.920 --> 00:49:05.679
fifty feet and that that's a huge Maybe I don't

723
00:49:05.719 --> 00:49:08.880
even think it was that far, but it was off

724
00:49:09.320 --> 00:49:11.079
just a minute past the Petrick lives.

725
00:49:16.280 --> 00:49:21.519
Wow. And if you look at I mean, it's such

726
00:49:21.519 --> 00:49:26.159
an interesting area because the park really kind of juts

727
00:49:26.199 --> 00:49:31.199
down into the Ute Mountain Reservation and then south of

728
00:49:31.239 --> 00:49:35.400
that is the Navajo Nation, which I mean that whole

729
00:49:35.440 --> 00:49:40.239
area is is so so incredibly active. Yeah, when it

730
00:49:40.320 --> 00:49:44.920
comes to bigfoot and other things. And so I'm really

731
00:49:44.920 --> 00:49:49.000
not surprised Sasquatch isn't going to stop at the reservation

732
00:49:49.159 --> 00:49:53.440
line and the park border for sure, It's just going

733
00:49:53.480 --> 00:49:56.559
to go right in there. So I'm not surprised at all.

734
00:49:56.599 --> 00:50:00.400
What did your what did your husband feel when you

735
00:50:00.440 --> 00:50:02.599
started noticing these things?

736
00:50:04.079 --> 00:50:06.480
So initially when we were hiking, I didn't tell him

737
00:50:06.480 --> 00:50:09.119
that I was feeling any certain way, because I mean

738
00:50:09.159 --> 00:50:12.960
it's not unusual for me. I'm where of those people.

739
00:50:13.000 --> 00:50:16.519
I guess it's more in tune to like different changes

740
00:50:16.559 --> 00:50:20.880
in the atmosphere. If you will. So for me, it's

741
00:50:21.400 --> 00:50:23.320
just kind of like I could walk into any room

742
00:50:23.440 --> 00:50:27.400
and if something changes, I'll feel at first, or I'll

743
00:50:27.519 --> 00:50:32.960
notice something, or just anything kind of I guess weird

744
00:50:33.079 --> 00:50:37.760
like that, But so I don't often mention it to him.

745
00:50:38.320 --> 00:50:41.400
He didn't seem to really if he had felt anything

746
00:50:41.519 --> 00:50:46.920
at the time, he didn't say anything. But later on,

747
00:50:47.519 --> 00:50:51.760
as I started to find these pictures, you know, he's

748
00:50:51.800 --> 00:50:54.599
always been very much one of those was like I

749
00:50:55.280 --> 00:50:58.039
personally need to see it to believe it kind of people.

750
00:51:00.199 --> 00:51:04.159
But even then, like seeing these photos it makes him

751
00:51:04.239 --> 00:51:07.760
even kind of put a pause and go, wait a minute,

752
00:51:09.639 --> 00:51:12.079
this is something I'm seeing something. I don't know what

753
00:51:12.119 --> 00:51:14.320
I'm seeing, but I'm seeing something, and I can't deny

754
00:51:14.360 --> 00:51:15.320
that I'm seeing something.

755
00:51:16.119 --> 00:51:27.079
Sure, sure, sure, So it's a really interesting photo. Has

756
00:51:28.199 --> 00:51:30.840
has the fact that you now you have this this

757
00:51:30.960 --> 00:51:36.280
evidence captured of things on some things that were there

758
00:51:36.559 --> 00:51:40.800
during the hike. Has how has this affected things since

759
00:51:41.440 --> 00:51:43.960
the way that you view bigfoot f at all?

760
00:51:45.960 --> 00:51:49.360
It was kind of like confirmation, confirmation of everything that

761
00:51:49.400 --> 00:51:52.440
I've seen. Its like, Okay, my eyes weren't actually playing

762
00:51:52.440 --> 00:51:55.239
tricks on me. These things actually are out there. They

763
00:51:55.280 --> 00:52:00.679
are real. They are in area is where you would

764
00:52:00.800 --> 00:52:05.079
least expect them to be, because I mean that first photo,

765
00:52:05.199 --> 00:52:08.440
the one across the canyon, about the time that I

766
00:52:08.639 --> 00:52:12.119
was starting to fill that unease, is about the time

767
00:52:12.159 --> 00:52:19.400
we captured that. It was within probably ten minutes of

768
00:52:19.440 --> 00:52:22.719
taking that photo, or like ten minutes of me starting

769
00:52:22.719 --> 00:52:24.960
to feel that way when I took that initial photo.

770
00:52:25.639 --> 00:52:32.719
And then the second one that I sent you, or

771
00:52:32.760 --> 00:52:34.639
the one where it's peeking out, Like I said, we

772
00:52:34.639 --> 00:52:37.880
were right off the trail, and that was in a

773
00:52:38.320 --> 00:52:40.719
high traffic area. There were a ton of people checking

774
00:52:40.719 --> 00:52:43.480
out those petric clips and a minute up up the

775
00:52:43.559 --> 00:52:48.239
road or up the trail, this thing was right off

776
00:52:48.280 --> 00:52:52.639
the side in the forest. And then the last one

777
00:52:52.679 --> 00:52:54.519
I sent you where you can kind of see the

778
00:52:54.559 --> 00:52:58.280
backpack at the edge of it. That one that just

779
00:52:58.320 --> 00:53:01.440
shows you exactly how close we were to that tree line.

780
00:53:02.239 --> 00:53:06.920
I mean, neither one of us saw anything or anything

781
00:53:07.000 --> 00:53:11.960
like that, like, and that was so close, and for

782
00:53:12.039 --> 00:53:14.119
them to be able to be that close to us

783
00:53:14.199 --> 00:53:17.320
and not be detected and to really blend in with

784
00:53:17.360 --> 00:53:21.079
the scenery and everything is just mind boggling. Like to

785
00:53:21.119 --> 00:53:24.519
have them in that area, that's more desert like and

786
00:53:24.559 --> 00:53:27.280
everything kind of blew my mind to begin with. But

787
00:53:27.920 --> 00:53:31.440
to see exactly how close they were to the trails

788
00:53:31.559 --> 00:53:35.760
and to other people and completely seemed, you know, maybe

789
00:53:35.800 --> 00:53:38.800
perturbed that one, you know, with the hand creeping out

790
00:53:38.800 --> 00:53:40.840
in the eyeballs and everything. He looked a little perturbed,

791
00:53:40.920 --> 00:53:46.480
or it looked a little perturbed. But yeah, just to

792
00:53:46.599 --> 00:53:50.559
have them that close to a bunch of people, to

793
00:53:50.880 --> 00:53:59.280
trails that are traveled regularly, just people need to be

794
00:53:59.360 --> 00:53:59.840
more aware.

795
00:54:00.239 --> 00:54:07.639
M absolutely, And I mean see it's and it's especially

796
00:54:07.960 --> 00:54:10.920
you know, this happened in national park. And you know,

797
00:54:11.039 --> 00:54:16.480
my personal belief is that you know, bigfoot is in

798
00:54:17.320 --> 00:54:21.199
our national at least some of them in our national parks.

799
00:54:21.199 --> 00:54:24.159
And that's a whole other discussion in itself, but I mean,

800
00:54:25.920 --> 00:54:29.639
Maseverity National Park. You've got these these photos and and

801
00:54:29.679 --> 00:54:33.920
they're very, very compelling, and it really makes I know

802
00:54:34.000 --> 00:54:37.679
that there's been people that have reported things, you know,

803
00:54:37.880 --> 00:54:41.800
in other places, other national parks like Yosemite. And we

804
00:54:41.880 --> 00:54:50.719
talked to an individual out and I'm blanking, what is it, uh? Wyoming?

805
00:54:50.719 --> 00:54:52.360
What's the Wyoming one? What is it?

806
00:54:52.079 --> 00:54:52.440
What is it?

807
00:54:52.760 --> 00:54:52.880
Uh?

808
00:54:54.360 --> 00:54:54.960
Yellowstone?

809
00:54:55.480 --> 00:54:58.800
Yellow? Yes, to talk to the individual and Yellowstone National

810
00:54:58.840 --> 00:55:02.840
Park that was a worker there and had a had

811
00:55:02.880 --> 00:55:06.559
an encounter. And so you know, I would say from

812
00:55:06.559 --> 00:55:09.719
what I'm talking to people, and you can look at

813
00:55:09.760 --> 00:55:14.920
the reports, they're definitely definitely in our national parks. But yeah,

814
00:55:15.599 --> 00:55:19.599
based on based on what you've experienced in your three

815
00:55:19.639 --> 00:55:24.920
different encounters, do you have any thoughts or feelings about

816
00:55:25.239 --> 00:55:29.920
what you think bigfoot is exactly based on what you've experienced.

817
00:55:33.039 --> 00:55:35.679
I don't think it's one particular thing. I think there

818
00:55:35.679 --> 00:55:44.679
are multiple different types. So some I think are genuinely

819
00:55:44.760 --> 00:55:50.559
flesh and blood creatures that are you know, may maybe

820
00:55:50.679 --> 00:55:53.880
this goes back to the whole gigantopithec history that you know,

821
00:55:54.000 --> 00:55:58.039
gigantopithicists didn't actually go extinct and just found a way

822
00:55:58.119 --> 00:56:03.079
to migrate and adapt and so on. I don't know

823
00:56:03.280 --> 00:56:07.400
exactly if that works or not, but I viewed these

824
00:56:07.400 --> 00:56:10.000
things it's kind of like that, where there their flesh

825
00:56:10.079 --> 00:56:13.039
and blood and that's what they are, like, particularly the

826
00:56:13.079 --> 00:56:18.320
one in mas Verite. Just looking at some of those photos,

827
00:56:18.360 --> 00:56:23.519
like the you know, the female with the infant, really

828
00:56:23.679 --> 00:56:29.480
just struck me as this is just an animal trying

829
00:56:29.519 --> 00:56:36.840
to exist and care for their offspring and whatnot. But

830
00:56:37.639 --> 00:56:43.280
like the encounter that I had on the family land,

831
00:56:43.360 --> 00:56:49.440
that one was dark and that one was that struck

832
00:56:49.480 --> 00:56:53.000
fear into me, which the other two didn't, And that

833
00:56:53.199 --> 00:56:55.800
kind of leads me to, well, what if this had

834
00:56:56.239 --> 00:56:59.519
some other property to it? Because I felt that fear

835
00:57:00.079 --> 00:57:03.400
long before I got to it, and it was one

836
00:57:03.400 --> 00:57:07.639
of those things where I was not in control of

837
00:57:07.679 --> 00:57:16.039
my emotions. Everything was jumbled, everything seemed like to the extremes,

838
00:57:16.360 --> 00:57:20.719
and I feel like that was some form of control

839
00:57:20.840 --> 00:57:23.480
that you wouldn't get with just a normal animal.

840
00:57:28.599 --> 00:57:32.119
It is, it is one. I look at it as

841
00:57:32.360 --> 00:57:36.719
one of the last great mysteries of our world today,

842
00:57:37.519 --> 00:57:40.880
not just our country, but definitely of the world. And

843
00:57:40.960 --> 00:57:44.239
it's a thing where it really makes you wonder what

844
00:57:44.400 --> 00:57:46.920
is going on out there, especially when you have people

845
00:57:47.000 --> 00:57:50.639
like yourself where it affects. It can affect the way

846
00:57:50.639 --> 00:57:55.320
you're feeling in certain areas, how you're reacting, and I mean,

847
00:57:56.599 --> 00:58:01.400
it's just it's wild, wild stuff. Do you ever, do

848
00:58:01.440 --> 00:58:04.920
you wish to have another experience with something out there

849
00:58:05.039 --> 00:58:08.320
or you are are you okay with the ones that

850
00:58:08.360 --> 00:58:09.239
you've had so far?

851
00:58:10.719 --> 00:58:13.760
I think it would depend on the kind of experience

852
00:58:18.519 --> 00:58:21.639
if it if it weren't a hostile experience, and like,

853
00:58:21.679 --> 00:58:23.920
if I could control the type of experience I had,

854
00:58:24.000 --> 00:58:27.719
I wouldn't mind seeing another one it. I could take

855
00:58:27.760 --> 00:58:30.360
it or leave it. I guess is what I would

856
00:58:30.400 --> 00:58:35.519
go with the hostile experience that that's life changing. When

857
00:58:35.519 --> 00:58:38.639
you have one of those where it seems like your

858
00:58:38.719 --> 00:58:41.679
life is actually in danger, you don't you don't want

859
00:58:41.719 --> 00:58:45.880
to experience that again. But when you see things on

860
00:58:45.920 --> 00:58:48.119
a different level, it kind of changes it and it

861
00:58:48.639 --> 00:58:52.519
makes it so it's or, yeah, I could do that again,

862
00:58:52.599 --> 00:58:54.760
I could see that again. But if I never did,

863
00:58:54.760 --> 00:58:57.679
at least I had those experiences, or at least at

864
00:58:57.760 --> 00:59:01.719
least I know that I'm not going crazy or you know,

865
00:59:01.760 --> 00:59:05.400
no matter what anybody says about me or whatever. You know,

866
00:59:06.480 --> 00:59:10.199
anytime I've recounted these tales, that's kind of like the

867
00:59:10.239 --> 00:59:13.280
perspective that I've taken with it is I know what

868
00:59:13.320 --> 00:59:16.519
I saw. I now have evidence of what I saw.

869
00:59:17.280 --> 00:59:18.840
I'm good either.

870
00:59:18.559 --> 00:59:25.159
Way, exactly exactly. No one can take the away from you. Jay.

871
00:59:25.239 --> 00:59:27.039
I just want to say thank you so much for

872
00:59:27.800 --> 00:59:31.280
sharing with us your experiences over the years. I want

873
00:59:31.320 --> 00:59:34.559
to make sure that you were able to share everything

874
00:59:34.840 --> 00:59:37.119
that you wanted to share on the show today.

875
00:59:37.840 --> 00:59:38.400
I think I have.

876
00:59:38.599 --> 00:59:44.440
Thank you awesome, awesome. Well, definitely do keep us in

877
00:59:44.480 --> 00:59:47.119
the little bit. If something does happen in the future

878
00:59:47.159 --> 00:59:49.800
when you're out hiking or in different areas, we would

879
00:59:49.840 --> 00:59:52.679
love to hear about it. But thank you again for

880
00:59:53.239 --> 00:59:57.280
spending some time with us tonight sharing what your experiences

881
00:59:57.320 --> 00:59:58.280
have been over the years.

882
00:59:59.320 --> 01:00:01.000
Well, thank you for happing me. Jeremmar.

883
01:00:03.320 --> 01:00:06.320
Have you ever heard all the accounts of bigfoot activity

884
01:00:06.400 --> 01:00:09.599
around Oakridge, Oregon and you think to yourself, Man, I

885
01:00:09.599 --> 01:00:12.480
would love to get out in those woods and experience

886
01:00:12.480 --> 01:00:17.039
it for myself. Well, guess what this year you can.

887
01:00:17.679 --> 01:00:20.639
If this is interesting to you, stay tuned because it's

888
01:00:20.679 --> 01:00:25.599
pretty cool. Sasquatch Summer Fest is coming up July tenth

889
01:00:25.679 --> 01:00:29.280
through the eleventh, twenty twenty six. It's going to be

890
01:00:29.360 --> 01:00:33.440
even better than the previous year's reason number one, I'll

891
01:00:33.480 --> 01:00:36.199
be one of the speakers. It's gonna be wild. I'll

892
01:00:36.239 --> 01:00:41.719
probably I'll say this, there may be stuff you haven't

893
01:00:41.760 --> 01:00:47.960
heard anywhere else, because let's just say sometimes it's well,

894
01:00:48.119 --> 01:00:50.079
you just got to be there. We'll leave at that.

895
01:00:50.239 --> 01:00:52.920
More about looking for Bigfoot in the Oakridge Woods. Now

896
01:00:53.000 --> 01:00:58.119

documentary series Searching for SASQUATCHU. Well, this year you can

898
01:01:03.079 --> 01:01:06.239

sign up for a track deep in the wild forest

900
01:01:13.960 --> 01:01:18.599
outside of Oakridge with Jason Kenzie to the Bigfoot spots

901
01:01:19.000 --> 01:01:22.519
to look for Bigfoot. There's only eight spots to sign

902
01:01:22.639 --> 01:01:26.239
up for this, and yes, this will also be filmed

903
01:01:26.760 --> 01:01:29.480
for the next chapter in his documentary series, which is

904
01:01:29.639 --> 01:01:32.599
Searching for Sasquatch. This is a once in a lifetime deal.

905
01:01:32.800 --> 01:01:35.840
It's just it's going to be a wild, wild experience.

906
01:01:37.519 --> 01:01:41.000
To get a ticket, head on over to Sasquatch Summerfest

907
01:01:41.000 --> 01:01:45.599

like Bigfoot Society podcast in order to get a two

909
01:01:50.440 --> 01:01:53.360
day pass for the price of a one day pass.

910
01:01:53.840 --> 01:01:58.480
So thanks to Priscilla for giving me that code so

911
01:01:58.519 --> 01:02:04.960
that you guys can can get a little help with

912
01:02:05.000 --> 01:02:08.320
the cost there. Appreciate that, Priscilla. I hope to see

913
01:02:08.360 --> 01:02:12.599
you at the booth in Oakridge this year. We can

914
01:02:12.599 --> 01:02:14.880
talk about your encounter. Was able to talk to so

915
01:02:15.000 --> 01:02:18.559
many people last year and the year before. It is

916
01:02:18.679 --> 01:02:21.519
an incredible time. You're not going to want to miss it,

917
01:02:21.840 --> 01:02:26.280
and I'll see you there before we wrap this episode.

918
01:02:26.320 --> 01:02:28.920
I want to say something directly to a very specific

919
01:02:28.960 --> 01:02:32.440
group of listeners. If you're in the military, any branch

920
01:02:32.760 --> 01:02:35.400
or forces, and if you've seen something that no one

921
01:02:35.480 --> 01:02:38.679
can explain, or if you're a National park ranger or

922
01:02:38.840 --> 01:02:42.159
forestryt worker who's been told to stay quiet, or if

923
01:02:42.199 --> 01:02:45.800
you're a pilot who's seen something strange down on the ground,

924
01:02:46.199 --> 01:02:49.000
or if you're with the FBI a federal agency, or

925
01:02:49.039 --> 01:02:52.559
working intelligence and you stumbled upon something you're not allowed

926
01:02:52.559 --> 01:02:55.639
to talk about. And if you're a firefighter, paramedic, or

927
01:02:55.639 --> 01:02:59.280
search and rescue responder who's heard screams or found tracks

928
01:02:59.400 --> 01:03:02.400
that didn't make sense. If you're in the logging industry

929
01:03:03.360 --> 01:03:06.280
on a remote oil field, or a trucker with government

930
01:03:06.320 --> 01:03:09.960
contracts and you've had something happen that you've never told

931
01:03:10.000 --> 01:03:13.639
a soul. And if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist,

932
01:03:13.800 --> 01:03:17.199
or a field researcher under contract who has found evidence

933
01:03:17.320 --> 01:03:20.960
you're not allowed to report. If you're a pastor, a missionary,

934
01:03:21.079 --> 01:03:24.239
or someone on a spiritual retreat and you saw something

935
01:03:24.280 --> 01:03:28.079
that shook your faith, or if you work in the shadows, CIA,

936
01:03:28.280 --> 01:03:31.639
NSA or anything with clearance and you've seen what the

937
01:03:31.679 --> 01:03:36.320
public hasn't, then I want to talk to you, even

938
01:03:36.320 --> 01:03:41.400
if it's anonymous. You can reach me at Bigfoot Society

939
01:03:41.480 --> 01:03:44.519
at gmail dot com. The world needs to hear what

940
01:03:44.559 --> 01:03:49.079
you've been forced to carry alone, and you're not alone.

941
01:03:49.320 --> 01:03:54.400
You've got the story, We've got the mic. See you

942
01:03:54.440 --> 01:03:56.960
in the ws. Thank you for listening to this episode

944

945
01:04:02.320 --> 01:04:05.280
we think, and that the truth is often hiding just

946
01:04:05.360 --> 01:04:08.440
beyond the tree line. If you enjoyed this episode, please
