Welcome to the show, Leonnette. How are you doing today?

0:43 I'm doing great? Thank you absolutely. You have an encounter that I've been trying to track down for a while since I have heard about it sent from another investment sgater, Marcia, who has been on the show multiple times, and Marcia was able to connect the two of us, so big thanks to Marcia for that as well. But Leona, you know, let's start with what got you into the whole bigfoot thing? To begin with, I've lived on. A three hundred and twenty one acre farm here in Kentucky, and for approximately two years, weird things kept happening. When I first moved there, there were probably twenty cats because the person that owned the farm before was a dairy farmer and apparently didn't spay your neoter. So there were a ton of cats running around everywhere, and I noticed that they were disappearing. And I had an inground pool and I actually had a fish one out from the deep end, when we all know cats don't like water, so I know it didn't decide to go swimming, and I kept telling myself that, oh, it's just coyotes. I

2:14 would have my windows open before it got too hot for air conditioning, and between the pool house and the house, my bedroom. Was closest to the pool house upstairs, it would sound in the middle of night. I'd get awoken. It sounded like I heard a buffalo. And I don't know why my. Subconscious decided it was gonna be coyotes. And well, we all know kyotes are stealthy and will be standing next to you quietly before you know it. They do not sound like I heard a buffalo. And I had on the back of the farmhouse was a sun porch that had three doors, one faced the pool house faced the U shaped backyard, and we had a yellow lab Sammy.

3:06 And my mother had gotten sick on her ninety third birthday and she was in Kindred healthcare the last six weeks that she lived, and I spent a lot of time between going there before work and Darren lunch until they kicked me out at night, so I had to put Sami out on the porch. The deck, our sun porch that was the bottom part was like sheet metal and the top part was like plexiglass, and there was a sliding glass door that I left open where she could just go out and do whatever she needed to do and come back in. And I there were times where I would fall asleep in the recliner in the living room, wake up late at night, walk through the family room to the kitchen, and turn right to the hallway.

4:14 There's a huge dining room. Well, it was an older farmhouse and it had those large windows, and I would glance over to my right and there would be a silhouette in the window, and I would jump and I would think, man, I must be really sleepy. I am seeing things. And my mother before she got sicked on me, she said. Lena, this house is haunted. And I thought, oh lord, it's dementia, you know. And I'm like, Mom, our house is not haunted, and she's like, Lena, I'm telling you. I get up to go to the bathroom in the middle of night and there's this huge silhouette in my window every night. And I didn't think anything about it because I did not believe.

5:01 In backfoot at all. I thought it was all hokey pokey and people in costumes making fake footprints and whatnot. I guess that's why I denied it for two years. One Friday night, after Mom had passed away, I had come home from work and I was sitting in the recliner and in the family room there were four large windows, one directly across from my recliner where the TV was. On that wall right next to me three inches away was a huge window, and on the back wall were two windows. And I woke up and I always left the blinds open just enough where I thought I could look out and no one could look in, And so I hit the remote to see what time it was. But I glanced at the window before I did that, and then I thought, where's my security light? Because there was on this side of the house was a horse stick past her, and then a huge security light where they would move cattle in and out after going to the stockyards late at night sometimes, and it would come. It was on from dusk till morning, and I thought, where is my security light?

6:20 So I lean over on the arm of the chair toward the window, and I see this dark figure just twist its body and I thought, what was that? So like a ding dong, I leaned closer to the window and I am looking up the window and there were two amber color eyes, probably the size of a half dollars, staring right down at me. I jumped out of that recliner, ran, turned the light off, sat on the end of the couch across the room, and I'm like trying to figure. Out what was that? What did I just And then all of a sudden, I hear Sammy outside barking, and I'm, oh, my goodness, my dog is out there. So I jumped up and ran to the back door. Without thinking, I slung it open and she was right outside the sliding glass door by this huge tree. She would never get right up to the fence. She would stay on this side of the tree. She was barking and lunging, and she.

7:26 Looks up and sees me. She comes flying back in and knocks me backwards back inside the door and stayed against the door. So I couldn't open it anymore. And she stayed there all night that way. Well, I went on, I went upstairs. Well, let me back up. Two weeks before that, my friend had come out to spend the night on the farm, and about twelve third at night, Sammy was at that same location, at that tree, barking and lunging. We had to go to Cincinnati. My friend's son was killed in Iraq, and she set up a scholarship and we were doing the bike riding and I was helping with sign in, so I needed my sleep so we could get up early and drive to Cincinnati. And I run down the steps and Karen's at the back door, and I'm like, Karen, what is she barking in?

8:19 And She's like, I don't know. She saw me and knocked me in the door and she won't get off the door, and I said, well, tell her to shut up. We got to get up early, so I went back to bed, didn't think anything else about it. So that Friday night that it was looking at me when I was in the recliner, I ran back in there and I grabbed my cellphone. I had not yet. My mom had passed away a month before, and I had not touched her room yet. I just wasn't mentally there yet, so and I always made her keep a flashlight by her bed, So I grabbed that flashlight. I go running up the steps like a mad woman to my room, the bathroom, master bathroom. I could see the backyard on the right side of the house, and I'm calling Karen because I knew she would be up, And I said, Karen, what did you see that night?

9:12 What did you see? And She's like, what is going on? So I told her. I said, there's some punks in a costume on each other's shoulder, trying to scare me. I said, Seamy is out there barking. She will not let me back out. I'm gonna look out my bathroom window and see if I can see anything, because she's still barking towards that tree. So there was this huge juniper bush that had never ever been pruned or trimmed back. I see this black, hairy figure crouched down at an angle. It didn't have its back completely to me. It was where it could still, I guess see me out of the corner of its eye. Well, I'm thinking it's punks trying to scare me, me and my daughter, because our house set like a half mile back off the road, and we're the only ones that we're living there. And I shine the light in the window and it glare back. So I put the phone on speaker, set it down and said, Karen, I got to lift the window.

10:18 So I left the window and I'm shining the light flashlight in its face. I could see these very distinct leathery, skinting looking cheekbones, and. I'm yelling at it, thinking it's these kids. And I told it I didn't know who it was, but I had a gun. If it tried to come in the house, I would shoot them. And by the way, the police is on I no. Sooner got that out, that thing stood up, spun around, facing the house toward me, and let out this scream. I think every hair on my body raced straight up.

10:58 At that point, I slammed the window down. Dropped the blinds, and I was backing up, and I. Must have temporarily kind of went into shock because Karen's screaming in the phone call the cops. Call the cops now. And that kind of snapped me out of it. And so I pick up the phone and I'm like, Karen, I'm not sure what that was. I said, I'm not calling the cops because they're going to think I'm some drunk, old single lady on a Friday night, you know, making up stories. You know, what do I say? Hey, a hairy man just screamed at me. And so I went down and I tried. To get the door open. See me, went and get the door off the door, so I turned all the outside lights on.

11:42 I went on to bed. Didn't think anything else. About it, because I'm still not buying the Bigfoot story. On Tuesday night, after that Friday night, I'm waiting for the eleven o'clock news to come on. I'm reclined in that same recliner be the window on the back wall behind me. It took its fingernails and went down the screen so hard it took the black paint off. I have photographs down to the silver metal. And I unreclined. I went to bed. So the next morning I called my friend Karen, and I did not really have a gun. I was just mouthing off trying to scare those punks away. And I asked her. I said, Karen, you still have your gun.

12:35 She's like yes, And I said, well, you come out this weekend. I promise I won't shoot anybody. I just want to shoot up in the air. These punks are harassing me and Sammy, and I need them just to get scared and to go away. And she's like, Lenette, it is not kids in a costume is Bigfoot? And apparently the night that night before, when I was waiting for the news to come on the news, there was a segment of this older lady that I passed her house. On my way to work every day. She raised those. Pigmy goats and something was climbing over the fence every night and taking away too at a time, they found hair stuck to the barbed wire and found a footprint.

13:23 So I still wasn't buying it. And I went on to work. And I'm a paralegal and a gifted teacher from Shelby County High School came in to sign her estate planning. Afterward, we were just shooting the breeze and she's like, where do you live? And I said, oh, po Dunk and she's like, well, where is that? And I'm like, Kendry County and she goes, oh, that's Bigfoot capital of Kentucky. And I'm like, no, I don't believe in that, and she goes, oh, I don't think i'd say that. So I go back down to my office and I couldn't get Karen's voice out of my head or this teacher's voice out of my head. So I googled. Henry County, Kentucky, Bigfoot, and actually the KBrO website popped up, flashing and red was a new report that Friday night that I was in the recliner three quarters of a mile from my house a half hour after I had my sightings. A gentleman had come out of his friend's mobile home and got growled at, and it was rocking the back of his truck.

14:32 And so. I saw the Contact US and I put a message and I said, listen, I don't believe in Bigfoot. I think it's hokey pokey, But if you want to come out here and scare these punks off. I would appreciate it. So the founder called me immediately and asked me to come out, and I said, no, I don't want to talk to you because I don't buy into this. I don't believe it. He said, just give me thirty minutes. Minutes. I said, okay, you got thirty minutes and that's it. So he came out and I showed him where it was looking in the window at me when I was in the recliner, and then I walked him around the U shaped backyard to where the one was crouched down, and he.

15:21 Said to me. That where there's one, there's never just one, there's always more than one. He said, I think. You had a male looking in your window and the female was the one crouched down. And I'm like, yeah, okay, whatever, Still not buying into it. And he's like, listen, there after your dog. Because your dog's being aggressive. You've got to take your dog in. Still not buying it. So he finally convinced me that I need to bring Samy in, so I did. Sammy became a house dog again at that point, but Sami would never go upstairs. And sleep wheder. My daughter and I slept where our bedrooms were. She would lay at the bottom of the step facing the.

16:03 Front door, and I never and every night. These bigfoots would come around and look through the windows, and Sammy knew when they were out there. Her shackles would raise and she'd come over and lean against me to protect me. And I think, okay, I'm just going to bed. I'm not dealing with this, and I just turn the lights out and go on to bed. And there were other incidents and stuff that happened on that farm that continued. I finally they were getting a little more aggressive, trying to push the front door open. They had actually split the wood on the front door where the dead boat was, and I guess that's why Sammy laid right there. And I moved from the farm. At that point.

16:51 I was not feeling safe anymore. And I work long hours, so my daughter would be there by herself after dark, and she's autistic, and I worried about that. So it was then that being in the legal field, I have I have to know, you know, I have to analyze everything. It's just creature habit. I've been working in this field for forty three years. So my mind just works that way, and it's like, Okay, I got to know the why, how, where, and so that's when I became an investigator with the KBrO and then moved away to Florida, but I would come back here and do research.

17:33 I did research. In Florida as well and found evidence and footprints and hair samples and stuff. And then. About a year ago I went to BFRO expedition and this is the story you want to hear. And we decided after the expedition they were about sick. Let's see, there were four of us that stayed behind, actually five, but he was with his wife, so he kind of stayed apart from our group.

18:16 But there were five of us that stayed behind. Well, I had purposely put my tent in an area where at night you could hear when the juveniles came up that steep landscape, and you'd hear the thud when they'd hit the flat part outside my tent, and I had lay on my cot and watched because the moonlight blowing, you could see three young figures. And one night Kathy, my neighbor, she was in a little one man dome tent that you have to crawl in. You can't even sit up in, and she forgot to take her cooler in those three. First they stopped by my car because I forgot to move my car across the road out from in front of my door, and they were popping the handle.

19:14 Trying to open the car, but couldn't figure out how to open it. And I slipped out of the cot and just unziped the corner of the door flat screen cover and pulled it down my finger and was watching them pull on the handles trying to get in there. Well, then they spotted the cooler between Kathy's in my tent, so they're over there and you can hear their nails scraping against the top of the cooler. They're moving it around. You could hear the melted ice, you know, moving and stuff. I watched them because I slipped across to that window and had barely pulled it down so they wouldn't hear the.

19:58 Zipper was watching them. One of them got so frustrated it lets out a grunt, and then finally they got bored, I guess, and went on behind the rest of the tents along the back. They would come every night and Juvis do not bother me at all, and most adults have not bothered me at all. I've had several Class A sidings since I've been investigating since twenty thirteen, and after everybody, going back to the day that everybody went home earlier that day, another couple and Kathy and I had gone there at this location which I can't disclose, there are several old minds that they've closed, and so we went to see if we can get in any of the minds to see if there's evidence of them staying in there or whatnot.

21:00 As we were coming back, the gentleman that was driving, he's like, did I'm just gonna make up a name. Did Chris tell you that we found burial mounds? And I'm like what And he's like they're bigfoot burial mounts and I'm like, no, no, I said, it's Indians. There were Indians on this land long before us. And they're like, no, these are huge. And one burial mound has recent where they've been digging with their hands, and I'm like, still not buying it.

21:42 So he gets aggravated at me. So he pulls up where they where you can go down the steep hill to where they were to show me, and so we go down there. Sure enough, there were I think I counted nine side going down the steep hill side by side. He moves some leans over and you could see where they had been digging. I guess maybe they had just buried one, because the ground was not hard at that one where the handprints were. And I'm like, okay, I've seen enough. I'm ready to go.

22:23 Let's go. We should not be messing with us at all. Well, there were some sticks propped in odd ways by some of the mounds. I didn't pay attention until we got up that steep incline. One of the people with us had decided to pull those sticks up and laid them against a tree before getting back in the vehicle. So, and the reason I'm telling you this is because I think this is what took the one off that I'm about to tell you about. Everybody leaves. Kathy and I have our tents far away from where the other part of our group that was staying was, and I'm like, no, I want to stay here because you know, I want to see what the juveniles do tonight with everybody else gone. But I had to leave at like five point thirty the next morning. So I was down there at the tent by myself, packing everything but my cot, my sleeping bag, and.

23:30 I get everything loaded. In the car, I shut the hatch, I go zip my tent up, and I turned to walk about. The rest of them are about a quarter mile from where I was. So I start walking and I hear twigs breaking, and I can hear the leaves crunching on the other side of my tent in the woods, and I'm thinking, those Jewis are starting early tonight today because it was still daylight. It was probably about six o'clock. And so I'm walking. I get all the way up to where the restrooms were, I hear a large branch break snap off. Well, when I heard that, I spun around toward the sound, and when I did, up on its knuckles, and I could see from the waist up because the incline went straight down, so I couldn't see the rest of it.

24:31 It was on its knuckles. It was a huge black bigfoot and it kind of I don't know if you call it a gruff at me because I'm standing there staring at it, thinking I have never seen such huge arms in my life. If I could compare them. I would compare them to a telephone pole, that's how large they were. And I just kept. So I'm standing there and it's like, okay, I know from years of researching and training and stuff, you'd make no sudden movements. So I knew not to yell out for the others. They all had their back turned to me.

25:20 I like, slowly turn and look to see where my car is, to see if my car was closer or if the group was closer. And I was probably midway. It was a toss up which way to go, and. I'm thinking, Okay, an old fat woman can run fast. I'm out of here. So I took off toward them, and I'm like ago running up there, and I'm like, we're not alone. We're not alone. So they grabbed their equipment and their infrared equipment and thermal equipment and recorders, and we run down there and you could hear that thing crap through the leaves and the branches.

26:04 Going down that hill back down to that area. And so they're like, listen, you and Kathy are not staying down here tonight by yourself. If we've got an adult, who is that brazing to come out in broad daylight and confront you. We're moving your tents. So we picked my tent. Up, Carrie all the way up to where what was base camp during the expedition, set it up up there. And. I while I was setting my tent back up, one of the people that I.

26:50 Took on a trail the night before call me. We had left a re quarter that he picked up on his way out that day, and when he got home he listened to it and he's like, did you go back after you buried? Because I covered it up with leaves and put leaned it against a tree. He goes, did you go. Back and move it? And I'm like, no, why would you ask me that? He said, Listen, So he plays the recording and you can hear not long after I walked away from where I placed that recorder, you hear these footprints, footsteps.

27:31 Walk right up to it. You hear something move the leaves, you hear it pick up, and then it's kind of like a oh crap moment, What did I just do? What am I going to do with this? And then it just drops it and leaves it. So I was like, no, I didn't move it. I said it was where I told you it was, and so. We talked about that for a few minutes, and then we went out and we all lined our chairs up and we're sitting there. This same bigfoot. Is in the tree line and it's peeking around the trees at us.

28:11 And we had moved. My car up by the tree and moved Kathy's up by the tree so it'd be close the next morning. Because she also had to leave early. And it would not go away. It kept stalking us from the tree line. And it finally gets dark, it's still there and you could see its eyes in the moonshine, and Marcia was there. I have never seen Marcia unnerved. Everybody was unnerved and kind of scared of this one because it's in her actions and it would not go away.

28:59 So we decided to, for lack of better term, circle of the wagons. They moved their campers where we were like side by side. I took my tent down and put it in the back of my car, and I actually slept in the floorboard of Kevin's truck because he had his little teardrop camper. He was sleeping and attached to it, and probably three or four times during the night you could fill the truck being pushed on and their campers are being pushed on. And. I had when my alarm went off at five point thirty, I shut it off really quick so it would be quiet, and I'm trying to get up enough nerve because it's dark to get from the truck to my car and get out of there. Well as all of a sudden, I hear Kevin fling his door open, and he had his pistol in hand.

30:04 It had been rocking his camper. And so he jumped out, and Laurie jumped out when she heard his door, and then Marcia came out, and I'm like, okay. Guys, I'm out of here. I couldnot even talk about that experience without breaking down crying for a while. It's the threatening nature that this one put off the fact that it's broad daylight. It will not go away. Adults don't want to be seen. Juv's are curious. They get into a lot of trouble. You know. They don't surprise me and I you.

30:46 Know, I have had encounters with other adults during the day before, just by accident. You know, they run right past you because you come out all of a sudden of an area. They didn't know you were. And I at that point. I was like, I'm done. I'm not doing this anymore. I feel threatened, and I've never felt that way before. So Marcia and some of the others are like, we got to get her back out there because she's gonna she's scared to death.

31:27 She's not she's going to quit. So a few months later, it was like two months and it happened to be my birthday weekend by accident, and I told Kathy, I said, I'm not sleeping in my tent by myself there and we're at the same location, so. We are in the tent. We all had radios. Kathy and I were sharing a tent. I am sound asleep, and I had the habit of pushing my cot all the way against the back of the tent so my pillow won't fall off. I was woken to a mudball hitting the back of my head.

32:15 They were on the hill. It was probably a six and a half foot. Tall one, you know, I still call it a juvie at that point, and it had there was a fallen tree that had the muddy mud all around the roots and stuff taken and made a mudball and hit me in the back of the head, and when I woke up, I could hear the mud sliding down the back of the tent. So I grabbed Kathy by the arm. She's sleeping lower than me because I was up on a cot and she's on an air mattress, and I yank her arm and I'm like, Kathy, I just got hitting the head and it hurt because they have a lot of force, and she's looking at me like I'm crazy.

33:03 Well about that time, Marsha radios us because she could see the back of our tent and she's like, listen, I don't want you to be scared, but there's a six and a half foot bigfoot going back and forth on the back of your tent. And I said, I am aware. I said, it woke me up, And of course Kathy, she's like, do you want to turn the light on? And I'm like, no, you don't ever turn the light on. They'll know exactly where we're at in the tent. It's going to show our shadows. And I said, don't ever do that, and so we're being real quiet. It was later that evening that Marcia had a visitor, and I'm pretty sure it was that same big black one ran her out of her tent fried equipment from the infrared.

33:58 Nobody could radio each other. And she comes running down the path and she's knocking on Laurie's camper door, you know, saying Laurie, Laurie, let me in, and Laurie like yells across as Kathy Lenett is that Marcia out there, And we're like, yes, open the door, lotter in and so and then we all got together and with flashlights and whatnot and went out and it was pretty scary, and I was like, even at that point, I was not sure I was ever gone back out again. And it's like, if one is that, I call him rogue because most of them are so I don't want to say warm and fuzzy, gentle kind.

34:51 We don't. We're still researching them, you know, And I know there are rogue ones that are not d hearted or just curious, but that that was a lot for me. It took me a while to get back out there. Leonette. That is absolutely wild. I have a few questions for you. So obviously, just for people that are new to the whole BFROO thing, we don't share the sites where the expeditions take place because these are usually places you go back to, or we don't want to cross the streams, right, we don't want to muddy the waters and have people come out to this area, and usually they're being actively researched sometimes or sometimes it's a private, private property, right, So that's why we're not saying info there.

35:55 Is it a thing where where you're okay with sharing the state or do you want to keep that out of it too. The state's fine because Ohio is a big state, right. And I have researched all over the place in Ohio. So my grandson who is nineteen now, I would keep him every other weekend there at the farm and that got him into researching. And he is also a BFRO investigator. I think the youngest one BFRO has. When he turned eighteen, he was recommended. He's had his own podcast. He he can give you all kinds of history on Bigfoot. We have researched together since he was very young. He has several casts, hair samples, audio samples.

Maybe we'll get that from you later and we'll put it in the show about that, because I'd love to listen to that myself. Yeah, he's had Amy Boo on there. He's had. Oh I think Charlie Raymond was on there. I don't know if Dusty Ruth was on there or not. He's had several. Tom Shay was on there with him. That's Tom is a great interview. Absolutely, Yes, what's his name?

37:31 Is that something else? Public? Toby Crumb to b I Crumb, c are you in. Good right now? The Bigfoot Journal said it. That sounds he also uh, he also was on a podcast with Catskill Appellation, okay, with a gentleman named Scott and Mike. All Right, well I got a little well, I got a little uh, a little investigative work to do. It sounds like, but I'll figure so. So. Also, I think another thing to point out it real quick is that this happened after the sanctioned BFRO expedition and expeditions we don't have firearms allowed. So when you're talking about and then he got out of his pistol, this is this is after the expedition. Some people hung out.

38:29 Exactly exactly, so yeah, yes, we were alone the expedition. Everybody had left but us crazy ones that decided we'd stay good night. Longer to see what happens after by E left. Which I think is actually it's it's probably a really good idea on how to get interactions because if you think about it, let's say, if there are big foot in the area and you've got usually on the BFRO expeditions, you've got more than a few people there hanging out, and then everyone starts to leave, but then you've got this small group of people that aren't leaving, and that's when it's like, Okay, we got to get these guys out here, let's maybe rev it up a little bit.

39:14 Is maybe what they're thinking. I've seen that happen before in Oregon and situations I've been involved with. You know, you make it look like you're leaving, and then it's like, oh, we got to hang out because of this, and then that's usually when the stuff happens. So yeah, absolutely, when you had your your face to face and you're talking about it was on its knuckles. How far away from you would you say it was at that point. Probably about one hundred yards Okay, Okay, it was rather close, a little too close for comfort. Yeah, absolutely, So that's like with the length of about four tennis courts. Yeah, No, that would be too far. I would say one tennis court away.

39:57 Then, Okay, so that's actually an that's a length I use on the show a lot. So I would say one tennis court length. And that might have even been a little bit far. It may have been a little bit closer than that, just a little bit, because it was it was still on the incline, but right behind the bathrooms, and I was on the trail right in front of the bathrooms when it broke that huge branch. Okay, so less than twenty five yards away. Yeah, And I don't know if it did that to get my attention because we came to an opening in the trees at that point.

40:42 Were you able to see its face at all or any emotions during that? I saw its face, and I couldn't see its neck, and I guess it's because it was, you know, pushed up on its knuckles, but very very huge, broad shoulders and dark eyes, and the hair just went straight down onto its shoulders from its head. Okay, any uh, did you notice any any forms of emotion that were in its face or visible teeth or anything like that?

41:24 Now it just. I can't even mimic it gruffed at me when I spun around, okay, and I don't know, That's what kind of scared me, because did that and then the fact that it was in that position, I mean, it could have pushed off and if I'd have screamed and probably taken me over the other side of the you know, the hill, and nobody would have known where Leonette was. I'd been on David Pisaldi's four on one Baby Missing four on one. Yeah, thankfully when you took off running, you know, you always hear probably not the best idea to do that now trigger predator response, but in this time, you just had to do what you had to do.

42:13 And I stood there probably well, it seemed like an eternity to me trying to decipher, Okay, is it my car closer or the people closer? What do I do? I can't just stand here, and so I decided I was going for the people. At least they could turn around and see it drag me off, It drugged me off. But I I just its dance was threatening, and then that it was like a that gruff was almost like a growy gruff, like threatening.

42:56 I think we ticked it off, messing with its mounds. Sometimes, well a lot a lot of times on the show, when people say a huff or gruff, they'll usually say it sounded like it was disappointed, but you're saying it sounded like it. Was like an angry Yeah, that thing was mad. It was threatening. The burial mounds. That's really interesting because that's not really something to throw around lightly. Now the people that were involved with that, were they seeing bones or anything, or just it looked like it had been dug up a bit.

43:43 No, it was it was covered like the dirt was up high and leaves had fallen on it because it was fall time. And you know, I just I really wasn't buying until I all the size of them. An Indian is not that big, let me tell you. These mounds were huge. And then when. The leaves were moved and you could see where that finger marks, right, Yeah, they don't have tools, so they would be using their hands, is what I was analyzing.

44:29 And at that point I was like, Okay, we need to go because you know, I've always been told since I started researching, there's always a century that stays awake during the day to guard the others, and I thought, I almost guarantee you we're being watched by a century because I'm sure they're protecting if that's their loved ones, you know, buried there. And here we are moving stuff around, and then one person pulled the sticks out, and I, you know, I talked to Tom Shay and because we're good friends, and I was telling him about it, and he says, that was their warning for you to get to stay out. And I said, okay, I've had another incidence with sticks before where a group of us is a dead winner. There's snow on the ground that was kind of melting. We hiked probably eight miles back too.

45:44 I love old cemeteries. And of course you know they say that bigfoots love them too. I don't know. I don't like going the cemeteries at night, but so I don't know if that's true. But we hiked and hiked until we ran out. It was almost like a military workout. We hiked and we had to climb over down trees and there was this steep incline we had to go up, so we were using these saplings to pull ourselves up. When we came back, those saplings were bent over and tied together. And right before we got to that point, there was something heavy in the tree over to the far left of us when we were headed this way, that jumped down and you hear this thunderous thud, and then you hear footsteps and there were prints in the snow at that point. Well, we stopped and we took pictures of the saplings being tied together.

46:59 So I was talking to Tom on what his theory was on that. He said, they were telling you to stay out, not to come back. And I said, well, the weird thing was it wasn't just the saplings. We get back to the trail that we had hiked back that far on there was a rather large branch that was and there was a handprint on the ground right beside it. It was shoved down in the ground. And he said, that's your morning, not to come back. That's wild. And if anyone would know, I mean, just because the amount of time that guy has put into this, Tom would probably have a good idea of what he's talking about. I mean, Tom Shay so much experience out there, it's nuts. Yes, over the years, how many how many investigations do you think you've been on?

47:58 Oh goodness, Toby and I have done a ton on our own. I have done investigations in Kentucky, Indiana, Ohio, West Virginia, Florida, and Missouri. Okay, And what about BFROO sanctioned ones. I just started with the BFRO because I hung with Charlie's KBrO O for a long time. So I've been part of the BFRORO now for two years. I believe, I just never even thought about it before. And then I'd met Uh Dusty, and I was like, you know what, Dusty, I'm gonna He kept asking me to come to one of his he does the Ohio ones, right, and I said, okay, I will, And so I asked him if I could bring my grandson with me.

48:49 He was seventeen at the time. He wasn't, you know, an adult yet and had to have an adult and so uh and he knew Toby and knew he's an avid researcher and had a lot of knowledge. And evidence and stuff. And so we went and I learned, you know, you learned so much like sharing your experiences and your evidence that you've collected with other researchers and you get different views, different takes, you know. And I had Finally, I never thought about it before all these years of keeping a journal, and after after the experience with the one on it's knuckles, I went back in my head and wrote down as much as I could remember about, you know, past some of the riveting. I guess i'd call it experiences that I've had. I had one experience where I was camping.

49:56 I was by myself in a smaller tent, and I had the top flap off because it was so hot but during the day, and I did not put the flat back on it that night because we were out until probably four point thirty in the morning, hiking and looking and researching. And I came in and I set my alarm for five point thirty because to get out of that campground you had to catch a ferry at six am is when it started running. And I wanted to go see Toby before I went back to Florida.

50:39 And my alarm goes off. I turn it off, and I'm thinking, Okay, I just need ten more minutes sleep and. I'll get up. I drop it in the pocket. Right by my head are these two heavy footsteps. Oh man, it circles my tent. I look up at the screen mesh part at the top of the tent you could see where a face had been like pressed down wanting me sleep. So I was like, oh my gosh, I am down here by myself.

51:22 The person that brought the tent for me, because I flew into Nashville and then drove where we were, and he brought like a sleeping bag for me in that tent and a little heater. I crawled over and turned the mister heater over and to get rid of that glow in the light, and I sat down on the air mattress. I have never let the air out, folded it and rolled up a sleeping bag so fast in my life. I threw my clothes on, I grabbed my backpack. I put my head lamp on. I'm listening to see if it was, you know, still out by the tent. I don't hear anything, so I ends up it and I. Zip that tip back up. I went running back up and the car that I run and had it was a jeep. I hit the hatchback button so it had come open. I like ran past, throwing my stuff and slammed the thing down. Well, John, the guy that brought the tents for me, he had slept in his car because it's supposed to rain that next morning, and he'd already packed up everything but that little tip and I'm like taking off out of there and I'm waiting on the ferry to come.

52:31 And he messaged me. He's like, what's going on? Are you okay? And so I told him what happened, and he's like, I have never seen you move so fast in my life. I said, I'm never staying down there by myself, because that was a creepy campsite. Anyway. We've heard singing in the middle of the night and what sounded like singing down in there, and it's just real creepy, and I don't know, I should just slip in my car, but you know, that didn't scare me enough where I wasn't going back. Toby and I have had I have actually gotten zapped before.

53:13 Okay. We camped one Labor Day weekend and we actually got paralleled because it got dark on us coming off the trail, and. I guess it followed us back to camp. We came back, I was fine, and we cooked hot dogs and did somemores, you know, and stayed up till probably midnight, and then we decided we go to bed because we were going to go back out hiking again the next day. And we had his dog with us and I had my elderly Sammy, the dog that. I had on the farm.

53:53 And all of a sudden, Toby sits up. He zips up the window beside him and his foot and he's like, Mimi, zip her windows up. There's something pacing behind her tent. And I'm like, oh, Toby, go to sleep. It's nothing. Well, then I start staring out the window to see if I see anything because his dog is freaking out. She's going from his. Sleeping bag across the tent over to me, back and forth, back and forth. And all of a sudden, I got sick as could be. And I know this is gross, but I didn't throw up the hot dog in this morning.

54:34 It was acid like from my stomach. Oh wow, And I think goodness. I had an empty cooler right beside me because. I did not have time to get out of the tent, and I was sick for probably a good thirty minutes and then I was fine. And they'll say the cooler got thrown in the dumpster. It wasn't taking it back. But when we got up the next morning we had been gifted. There were a stack of different color creek rocks stacked up where Toby's feet were on the outside of the tent, and there's like where are where.

55:16 We were camped. They had to carry those a little distance to get them to us. There were no rocks. I was going to ask you about that if that's ever happened. The only time I've ever been gifted is I was joining a solo tent camp in somewhere in Iowa where I'm from, and had something walking around my tent at three in the morning. And then the next next day I get out of my tent and there's a squirrel tail stuck through the times of a plastic fork. Oh wow, in front of my tent. I was like, what is going on with you guys out here? But that's a different story. But do you ever wish you could go back to owning that farm property?

56:04 I do? I do. I would love to go back, and because. You know, the added years of research and the knowledge that I've gained through the years, and I don't even know who owns it now. I do know that when I moved. Out, there was a young couple with two small children that moved in. They didn't stay thirty days. And I guarantee it's because. Of their visit nightly visitors, because I would go out in the morning and there were two different sized footprints by every window. And one time I know that there was a juv at one time because I went out and you could see where the mom had sat down.

56:49 You could eat see like the butt crack, and you could see the big legs out and then you see this little head and shoulder imprint in the grass. I guess they before they went in for the night or something. I don't know what they were doing, but I have pictures of that as well. And then Toby and I had hiked way back on the farm and you know the big round bell's straw that are taller than you or I. Something had taken from the top and made like a little nest and there was like the little leg princes, little butt prints in that straw. And I was like, come on, Toby, we're going We're too close.

57:34 That's intense. And did you say, is that Kenton County, Kentucky? No, that was Henry County. Oh, Henry County. Oh, yeah, it's right next to Tomsha. Tom's in Trumble, And I actually talked to Tom at Kryptocon and he told me he goes Leana, that farm is hot right now. It's a really hot area. I said, I. Would kill to go back right now and just camp overnight, you know. And that farm, yeah, or. And another incident that happened when I lived on that farm. A horse had kicked out of its fence. It had bite marks on its haunches, oh man, And it was running down the road, and a state trooper comes popping over the hill about hit it. So he reaches out, grabs his bridle and brings it to the farm, opens the gate and puts them back in the farm because he didn't know where it went at that time of the morning. And I never knew what that horse's name was.

58:39 It was a trained show thoroughbred horse. I mean it was a huge horse. It was beautiful. Except for now it had to scar, you know, the teeth marks on its haunches. Every night when it would get dusky. I had that horse for like six weeks before they finally came and got it. It would run up and down the fence road with a wild looking as eyes trying to escape trying to get away. So I'm sure they were harass in it on that farm. And that was before you know, I admitted what lived on the farm with us. Yeah. Man, I've heard very similar accounts out of Southeast Iowa to do with horses and them having like the same markings after let's say they've been messed with Sasquatch.

59:32 I don't even think that conversation wasn't an episode, to be honest, but yeah, it just seemed like there's some connection there with Sasquatch and horses and them messing with horses for sure. Do you have any advice for individuals that are wanting to go out and to have try to make some sort of contact with Bigfoot out there? Never go alone? Number one, don't ever go alone. Well, several reasons. You could get snake bit. Oh yeah, who's gonna who's gonna help you? Uh?

1:00:19 Number two, you would be easy pray being alone. And I would say do not carry a gun because I'm fairly sure they can sense that, and being primate, you know they smell it, the powder, the metal. You become a threat at that point. And and uh, if you wanted an interaction with them, I know people do tree knocks, and sometimes you get a tree knock back. Sometimes you don't.

1:01:01 They're probably back there chuckling, saying to themselves in their Bigfoot language, here's some crazy humans. Again trying to be us. But rock clacks picking up two rocks and clacking them. That seems to have a lot of interaction. Sometimes you'll get a callback on a whoop. They also use like the the barred owl calls. I've had them come in camp at night and in the morning time when it was time is about to get daylight. They signal each other wherever they're at. You'll hear one over here, and you'll hear one over here and one over there, and then they're gone. And so the communication and just being still sometimes and just listen where you're at.

1:02:03 They're very curious. They want to know about you like you want to know about them. Absolutely. Do you have any thoughts about what you think bigfoot is and you kind of alluded to that in your last answer. I think a little bit. I think they're fleshed in blood, and and you know there's that thing that some people believe they cross through a portal like an alien does, or you know, I don't believe that I think they're flesh and blood. I think that they've been here so long that they've overpopulated. And that's why now we're having the encounters we're having because.

1:02:45 They're they're so overpopulated. It's kind of. You know, not as thin. And you know they've spread out to other. States and you know, used to all you ever heard. I know when I was smaller and Patterson Gimlin was on TV and you only heard about him being out towards California, Oregon, Washington State. You didn't hear about him being all the way in. Like Maryland and New Jersey and and you know, Tennessee and anywhere there's trees and there's food, they're going to be.

1:03:32 It's it's such a fascinating topic. I love it. And it's just every individual I have on seems to have it their own different viewpoint. It's very cool. And you know, my very first experience was when I was four years old in Alton, Illinois, and I thought it was a gorilla and I put it completely out of my mind until I had to admit what I saw in Kentucky. And then I researched the Autumn Telegraph and sure enough, they called it the Mississippi mud Monster. There was a circus that would camp out on the river bank and it would stalk the horses every night. And it was the same year that I saw the gorilla.

1:06:07 Oh wow, no way, because that's yeah, that's right over there by Saint Louis, which, Oh my goodness, that's wild. That's very cool. You were you were involved with that as well. So you said it looked like had a gorilla look like. Well, when you're a kid, you're thinking, you know, I never heard a bigfoot. At four years old, I was at my grandmother's house and it stepped out broad daylight out of the evergreens as I was running down the steps on. The back of the house. Needless say, I turned and ran back up the steps and locked the door and hit under the bed. And then there was a second time when I was four at her house and we had the windows open and I smelled this awful stinky sewery, just horrible smell. And the streets in Alton area because of the flooding, and they all go downhill, and she lived on Seventh Street then and I smelled that and I got up and it was pitch black outside, and I was waiting for Grandpa to come home. And you could hear its nails as it was walking, scraping on the sidewalk, and I see it, and I backed up and sat down.

1:07:29 And I don't know as a kid if I went in shock. But my brother and my grandmother were like, Lynette, Leannette, what's wrong? What's wrong? What can I do? What can I do? I did not drink coffee, but for some reason I said coffee, and so she brings me a cup of coffee. Of course I spit it out, and then I snapped out it and I started crying, and I said, I don't want Grandpa to come home. It will get Grandpa, it will get Grandpa. Well, I totally put those two episodes out of my mind until I hadn't met what had been going on for two years on the farm. And then I researched that year, and sure enough the Autumn Telegraph, you.

Okay, sixty nine because I think that's the same town where they had the thunderbird that almost carried off the kid in the forties. I don't know if you've ever looked into that. It's a pretty much yeah right, and. It's an Indian legend and they have it was the Indians painted it up on a cliff and they have repainted it. I still have family in that area, and they've repainted it, and now they've put like the story right by it where you can learn about the history of the piosal bird.
