All right, Bigfoot Society, You've got the privilege of talking to Davey Carlisle from the great Free State of Jones down there in Union, Mississippi. Davey, we were connected to talk about some really interesting things that he's experienced down there over the years. So Davey, welcome to the show.

1:02 How's it going, sir? It's great, Joe is I was. I've had some harrowing little experiences here and I've had him. I mean, man, I thought it was either the last star is plagued. I had a curse on the or something. But I time to look up, I'll see one of these big hair things. It's on the road. One certain tree. I had want to do what I call duck and had when you see the county had duck had my daughter that was Wi me Nico, and I know he went nuts. He tried to get out of the car Edwick, but he need to go behind a tree that over in a seminary. And I lived there for a little while, and that's where I got my first pretty good picture.

1:53 That was a big big mountain or two babies. All right, Yeah, we are getting a little a background and so our background noise, Davy. I got rid of it, all right, cool, fair enough, I'm a baby Charlie, all right, all right? Would you be able to take us back to the first time when you started to have an interaction with the wood boogers down there? Yeah, the first one. And I'm gonna be frank, I'm sure go with me and my dad ex wife coming back from or graduation practice Jones South Jones High School, and it was just about it's coming up on a second first first and two bridges before we get to them, to the foreway, and we say about an eight or nine, take three steps neither across the road. I said, you see that? Yeah, did we say nothing else without her place?

I guess on the tiled creek, because they love that creek. They like his creeks. But I got up here, so it's got a lot of games for them off. Then I'll tell you what I don't know. I guess they just like a big creaky They hung up and done it, and they used to it. That was the first time I had the same one.

Now, all right, when you get before we started, when we had the first parents, and take a left. Then by the mind, you take a right. That's a crikling cut off. That's the road. Or Daddy built a house there on a big, huge hill. Yeah, I was out there running big. I put a blanket, I cut find the dogs. I put a blanket out and she'd come back, come through. She's going to stop by the blanket, and it says, the puppies were, you know, too big. I can't see. Just keep ready, do you know? He can't tangle anyway. She just go out down and had to take care every bench to go over to the barn. And here, she said, even with the edge of the barn, there was his head, this big old thing standard swaying back. The pork, she said. She said, she cut it off and come told the story about it from MBO buddy Fred Bread. We come up here.

Then I do bout my boat shot climb down or the big old thin blood. Yeah. I climbed down and go off the last of my truck sitting up there in my parkt over. I got a single shot twenty two and I come down. I start throwing that blood. That blood we had like a forty mile an hour south wind's blowing north, and I can't smell

Look there is six seven inches freaking oak tree just snatched like a trail, and anyway he is breaking it down and it made a lot of racket. Anyway, we get the back of the field under the head. I'm in a little bit further there's the big old fielder the fence die the dare say in the head went all the way down to the left towards and went halfway to the backfield. But that's how far I got. Anyhow, I got to that point and the winds walked. They started coming out of the west and blowing east, and I got the most horrible smells that you have ever smelled.

7:01 That was the stinkest stuff. And then we got older. I can testify that they talked about I'm sunk it. Yeah, they put a skunk the same as seeing of them. I smelled that. I added pretty quick. I got two of two and I made four. I realized what was trailing me. Uh. I got from there to my truck, which is probably a six hundred yard run, and probably like two three minutes. I mean, I booked awa, the truck, gotten it, and I went on back to feedle where they looked on art line. But uh, that kind of shoot went at number three right a little bit, we take him back behind. I went through anyhow, number four first, oh, first duck, duck and hide camp all right on the way to my house. Cut through the road I take and ride around round right. It goes down a little what you call creek crossing, a little branch come across her ah or just a big old pine tree. And when I come across her, I called that one a dump dumb duck and hide champions because he just I got a little bit of eye shine. He duck the right tree. And my my partner, he wrote me everywhere.

I said, Nikko, you don't mess of that. And I said that dog go back to you right then. Cold lord, That's when I got my fisture. I was sitting there washing clothes two and a half hours a few days, that's this, and I'm down washing washing Washington, and I feel like he's eyes are just burning through my dad going back, I mean for two and a half hours on the back porch, watch clothes I've burned. So you back. It's about five thirty kind of proper camera up and I ain't just very bad, uh backyard and at that point the grass is pretty quick talk.

9:18 I was now the picture, the picture walk in the house had faith the little phone boy. I says, see if you see anything, and she said, hey, you got a big pudding here. Hey, it's a mama. Just she's got that just from the picture. I've kind of looked that picture a little bit more. He sees two in gorge my memory glands hanging out, and I've been thinking it a little for them. I've been show thinking, I'm thinking beer. I mean, this ain't even I put it. I put a plate out with two sandwiches from the uh it was a used to be a grand now said I would be to saying that, you know she loves him pick platon of. But the thing I kind of have an attraction to me here. It's just when you see the babies, it all tie together. That's what I did actually catchure. And I've been criticizing that picture and criticized and criticized. I think some people just lit Jerry.

10:20 I ain't gonna mention to know names very fold. But when somebody's trying to find something dangerous to something and you want a little bit of advice from them, he's want to favor. You know, it'd be nice and courteous. We give him that time of yours. It's gets so valuable and answer the questions. But I've had a lot. I was shunned on that this is the most obvious picture. I ever saying I watched a movie. After movie, they said, I got a picture of one on trail camp. I said, I don't see it, but anyway, and this ain't It stands out like a sos Off big black the guys and arm goes down, comes through the trees and you see, you see a little I ain't standing there represented her and they like five juveniles. I guess you talked Number two too old. The second duck and hide after the picture.

11:24 A little bit later, Nate, my wife is with me. I lost September fifth of twenty twenty three, and I, lady, you're wrestled now. I love them. We actually got married nineteen eleven. But anyway, I seen it. Nko didn't because he was playing with mama and I didn't scare her. But he duck and hide again coming through at number six, right, and you gotta just just showed up here, he said, experience to him. My daughter and Charlie are saying, you heard the batherguy a background noise, and I said, up here, come up, knocked on the door. Now he's lay in bed. Right.

About thirty minutes later, both actually died, and I got up, went outside and I plugged the man looked and fresh seventeen inch track four foot from my bedroom window. I just wanted to he yant my chick. But let's say where we at now? This was kind of an earlier found one day. I just want y'all's opinion. That would Grape Bye Road. It runs through the Camp Shelby in Brooklyn, Mississippi.

I went down that road about about a half I think a quarter a mile and I just went to the left on strand. I walked up to this big oak creek twelve foot off the ground criss cross was gonna x X scratches all the way around the down tree bark everywhere, twelve foot off the ground and no limbs. That one kind of I had an uneasy feeling. That's seventeen years old when I've seen this. But anyway, I right, have you all opinion on that team? All right? Oh? Oh? Anyway?

She was trying to get my tenent come out. I guess I'm sad, all right, Number nine two, somebody got a crush on me. I was talking about the crush all right, all right. At number ten, one of my gifts was super cool. It's a six inch quarter green hickory piece about six inch long.

Number twelve, and I was going to my tree that my dumb but actually put the first food to put up for them back in July of this year or last year. I went back here served to today my brain was calculating anyway, twenty feet behind the campus where I feed them, and they was getting my food for like months now. I the pis gang camera. Okay, my dam I got out at ten thirty to night. I walk up to says some food on the tree and I just had to look down when I was about six flips and the nine foot wood booker laying there, reaching over with a seven foot arm, picks up ten grapes I put on the tree. I guess you check you and give us some dabts. It ran over to eat it. Any reason, we're getting another one. So I go to my camper, I set my game shot up and I went back for a second look and my game cam it took a picture of but you can't see him for nothing because they was using the height of the leaves staying under my infareciplants. They can either taste it, smell it, or see it. Ever slip all that food. Just figured I was pouring the food on.

18:10 I mean, I get this day on store called day Grain. They love that apples, the great bananas. They really like bananas. The one thing that really cleaned up was these pairs. It's kind of squeezing out but a kind of them. I mean I put about that afternoon. I went back that night and something to sit there and ate every one of them. And there's all these trails. You can see where they've been submarine all back in the trails. I mean, it's like somebody at a warn trails had been using it and it ain't me. I don't. I don want to go back there. I didn't make the trail they did. I was setting up for my pre sand it's twenty you put off the ground. This was January of eight, three at night and no when and seventy.

19:06 It's twelve inch oak tree. It sounded like a I don't know what hit it, but it was clammed to the ground. Okay, that was in between me and the backside. I'm saying, right, what the heck? I can't ponder'd yeah, and I'm exactly a fifteen minutes later, I had two more trees just pushed down. This is in between me and my car. I give them the woods. That morning I found out got my little Saturday let's see one coop and I went home. That really freaked me out.

It's actually and this kind of it's like I come full circle living on the same road to have my first experience with my dad E's wife. That's in the person. And it's kind of special place here. It's a barrel, uh in the barrel ground this was see this witch that lived here, and I'm kind of go and stuff. Anyway, it's true. But anyway, we all studying with birds, all right. When we first moved there, though, I went out to go dump it over walking probably cook something from mom. Anyway, that's coming back well. As I walked out, actually actually as I walked out, as the personal vision of my I see it's twelve on back to the other side of this old tennis she had just been knocked down on ground, is sitting there swaying. I gotta said, I've done my old I will right back to my mom on camera, I was. I walked very very fast. You think I'm running. Instead of closing the door the way, I let you crash open and you can hear him walking.

21:13 I felt huge footfalls. Man, It's like in the movie here's court crunch around. I mean it intimidates number fourteen. I went up four days later, I went back to work the trees. See the trees, and you see I took pictures of the stumps and all that where they so it broke off twelve minutes oak now snapped off like this wig first three. Anyway, I was heading back to that place for a hunt and I heard my first would not ever I thought that this kind of schedule, I never heard one before. Man at number fifteen. That's when I come back with my friend's house. I get here like las later, I heard by first freaking, I'm buying bird call little grief, I guess coming through there and they would try anything, and we now I just talk about it anyway. And this girl also told me the other day is something that kind of unnerving. Unnerving.

22:15 You know, she's been hearing us sound like a lady screaming this year's baby craft and we know what that is. That's a lure. Yeah, you better saying that poet you you know the woods and just saying all the times I've been out there, had their shad right middle this it's just a little script every maybe one hundred feet wide. Just got the tag sixty year pine trees got bed center in the middle or the six foot wide trail or something goes through there constantly. It was like a highway. There were no downs, you know. I'm like, look at this m you can't hear at three thirty in the morning now, and I coached in. I didn't come in.

They nice, they're nice, and the rest of my friend. I went out there one day. I tried me a little bit knocking there.

I've been up for forty three years and I retired February twenty. I've been sagled for pretty good about tea. It's in rough and take care of a while she had most grossest PTSD SHID COPD had all kinds of problems. They going back.
