Texas Bowhunter Takes Aim—Then an 8-Foot Figure Runs Out

Texas Bowhunter Takes Aim—Then an 8-Foot Figure Runs Out

An eight-foot figure ran into a Texas bowhunter’s clearing just as he prepared to draw on his target buck. The deer fled. The figure stopped, snorted, lifted its nose, and ran in the same direction. The hunter says he has never returned.

In Bigfoot Society Episode 1217, Marlon shares his 2019 encounter near Kennard, Texas, close to Davy Crockett National Forest. His account begins with disappearing wildlife sightings, repeated trail-camera alerts, and an unexplained nighttime bellow. When his hunting partner sees something that leaves him shaking, Marlon heads into the woods alone—and experiences a sighting that ends their trip.

Plus, Jax recounts a family camping experience near Ariel, Washington, where something reportedly ran behind their tent for ten minutes, screamed, and shook the ground. Daylight revealed broken branches and enormous impressions in the dirt. On Washington’s Larch Mountain, another witness describes coming face-to-face with a massive figure on a snowy logging road, then finding tracks that ended in an open clearing.

Three witness accounts. Unexplained sounds, close encounters, and questions that linger long after leaving the woods.

From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to quiet farms

5
00:00:13.839 --> 00:00:17.140
and crowded highways, the stories come from everywhere, and each

6
00:00:17.260 --> 00:00:21.100
one leaves us with more questions than answers. These are

7
00:00:21.140 --> 00:00:24.579
the voices of the people who've lived it. So settle

8
00:00:24.660 --> 00:00:27.960
in because today you'll hear another account that just might

9
00:00:28.000 --> 00:00:30.839
change the way you see the woods forever. So stay

10
00:00:30.859 --> 00:00:33.479
with us. Please keep Jeremiah in your prayers as he

11
00:00:33.520 --> 00:00:37.780
continues his fight against cancer. For more updates about his

show notes. Thank you. Let's see if Jax is available.

14
00:00:45.149 --> 00:00:51.530
That sounds very interesting. here hey jacks this is jeremiah

15
00:00:51.549 --> 00:00:54.530
from bigfoot society sounds like you had some interesting things

16
00:00:54.570 --> 00:00:56.469
happen in aerial washington.

17
00:00:56.729 --> 00:01:00.219
Yeah so we were living up um on one of

18
00:01:00.240 --> 00:01:03.320
the reservoirs like lake reservoirs up there and we had

19
00:01:03.340 --> 00:01:07.040
decided to go camping in our backyard um which was

20
00:01:07.120 --> 00:01:11.500
on about 20 acres um backed up to national forest

21
00:01:11.579 --> 00:01:14.989
area so not not a lot of people out there

22
00:01:15.010 --> 00:01:18.530
um and we were camping with both our little kids

23
00:01:18.569 --> 00:01:21.290
and we had a couple of dogs down by the

24
00:01:21.329 --> 00:01:25.290
lake and woke up at about four o'clock in the

25
00:01:25.349 --> 00:01:31.920
morning to something running back and forth behind our tent. Um,

26
00:01:32.400 --> 00:01:35.140
we were on a flat area of the pasture and

27
00:01:35.159 --> 00:01:38.879
it had some like immature trees that were probably about,

28
00:01:39.000 --> 00:01:44.500
you know, 10, 15 feet tall behind us. Um, And

29
00:01:44.540 --> 00:01:47.019
whatever was running behind us, because we would see elk

30
00:01:47.319 --> 00:01:50.670
and bear and deer all the time. We knew what

31
00:01:50.689 --> 00:01:53.390
they sounded like. Very familiar with all the critters that

32
00:01:53.409 --> 00:01:55.950
were out around there. You know, mountain lions screaming. And

33
00:01:56.659 --> 00:02:01.170
whatever this was that woke us up was... running on

34
00:02:01.230 --> 00:02:04.870
two feet, which is a very distinctive sound from something

35
00:02:04.909 --> 00:02:08.530
running on four. Um, you know, usually when wild animals

36
00:02:08.590 --> 00:02:11.349
are running by, they're running in a, you know, they

37
00:02:11.389 --> 00:02:14.150
run past you, they don't go back and forth. And

38
00:02:14.189 --> 00:02:17.229
whatever this was, was running back and forth behind our

39
00:02:17.289 --> 00:02:21.069
tent on two feet and hard enough that it was

40
00:02:21.180 --> 00:02:22.689
shaking the entire ground.

41
00:02:22.789 --> 00:02:24.280
The walls of our tent.

42
00:02:24.120 --> 00:02:27.620
Were shaking and it was screaming in a sound that

43
00:02:27.699 --> 00:02:31.930
I had never heard before. And I've heard it since

44
00:02:32.090 --> 00:02:38.150
then on other people's audio recordings of, you know, alleged

45
00:02:38.189 --> 00:02:42.629
Bigfoot recordings, very similar to what I've heard in those audios.

46
00:02:45.409 --> 00:02:48.129
Both of our dogs, you know, they've been known to

47
00:02:48.210 --> 00:02:53.629
chase all sorts of wild critters. Both of them were

48
00:02:53.669 --> 00:02:57.810
cowering at the end of the bed, you know, not

49
00:02:57.849 --> 00:03:00.849
interested in going outside and chasing whatever it was out there.

50
00:03:00.990 --> 00:03:03.189
And this thing was running back and forth and screaming

51
00:03:03.250 --> 00:03:08.389
behind our tent for a good solid 10 minutes. Um, my,

52
00:03:08.689 --> 00:03:11.060
my husband and I, we were both wide awake.

53
00:03:11.120 --> 00:03:12.180
Our kids are crying.

54
00:03:12.189 --> 00:03:20.360
Um, and we heard it run, finally kind of gave it,

55
00:03:20.580 --> 00:03:24.439
things were getting thrown at the tent, uh, little rocks, uh, branches.

56
00:03:24.460 --> 00:03:31.020
And I'm, I'm about ready to pee my pants. I

57
00:03:31.060 --> 00:03:32.580
thought we were going to die. I didn't know what

58
00:03:32.599 --> 00:03:34.259
it was, but I thought we were going to die.

59
00:03:34.479 --> 00:03:36.840
And I'm sitting there and I'm telling my husband, I

60
00:03:36.870 --> 00:03:37.870
was like, where's the gun?

61
00:03:37.909 --> 00:03:38.469
Where's the gun?

62
00:03:38.530 --> 00:03:43.129
And he's like, well, it's in the truck, which is

63
00:03:43.169 --> 00:03:45.229
about 50 feet away. And he wasn't willing to go

64
00:03:45.289 --> 00:03:48.789
outside and get it. So we sat there and finally

65
00:03:48.830 --> 00:03:52.219
we heard it kind of run off down this canyon

66
00:03:52.250 --> 00:03:55.080
off to the side of us a little ways. And

67
00:03:55.120 --> 00:03:57.020
we could hear it crashing through the brush as it

68
00:03:57.060 --> 00:04:00.789
went away. And, you know, the sun's already starting to

69
00:04:00.840 --> 00:04:03.120
come up about this time because it was right about

70
00:04:03.129 --> 00:04:07.639
this time of year is end of August. So, you know,

71
00:04:07.719 --> 00:04:11.199
it was just starting to get a little bit light out.

72
00:04:11.219 --> 00:04:13.979
And we went outside after the sun came all the

73
00:04:14.020 --> 00:04:17.040
way up. And the branches on the trees that were

74
00:04:17.079 --> 00:04:19.199
behind us where we were camping, where this thing had

75
00:04:19.240 --> 00:04:22.220
been running back and forth, the brushes all trampled down

76
00:04:22.920 --> 00:04:26.470
and the trees were broken off. the branches were broken

77
00:04:26.529 --> 00:04:29.649
off the trees up to about 10 feet in the air.

78
00:04:31.730 --> 00:04:35.069
So whatever this was was tall, and it was definitely

79
00:04:35.129 --> 00:04:39.769
running on two feet. We didn't see any solid footprints

80
00:04:39.920 --> 00:04:42.899
where we were because it was grass, but when we

81
00:04:43.000 --> 00:04:45.420
followed the trail kind of down to where it had

82
00:04:45.459 --> 00:04:47.560
dropped down into the canyon where there was some more

83
00:04:47.620 --> 00:04:51.779
underbrush and more dirt, we could see imprints in the

84
00:04:51.860 --> 00:04:56.660
dirt that were about 18 inches long And about eight

85
00:04:56.720 --> 00:05:01.040
inches wide, um, that had a foot span of about

86
00:05:01.220 --> 00:05:07.089
eight feet. And my husband is still not a believer

87
00:05:07.129 --> 00:05:09.129
to this day. He says that he doesn't know what

88
00:05:09.170 --> 00:05:11.189
it was. It wasn't anything that he's familiar with.

89
00:05:11.230 --> 00:05:12.509
It wasn't a bear. It wasn't an elk.

90
00:05:12.529 --> 00:05:16.170
It wasn't a mountain lion, but he doesn't believe in Bigfoot. Um,

91
00:05:16.589 --> 00:05:20.589
I didn't believe in it until then, but I believe now. Um,

92
00:05:21.389 --> 00:05:23.209
and we never went camping on our property again.

93
00:05:23.230 --> 00:05:24.870
Wow.

94
00:05:26.879 --> 00:05:34.220
That is incredible. Have you heard of any other things

95
00:05:34.279 --> 00:05:37.199
happening around that area as well besides what you experienced?

96
00:05:37.620 --> 00:05:37.839
Yes.

97
00:05:37.939 --> 00:05:41.420
So we are actually, that is on the south side

98
00:05:41.459 --> 00:05:43.800
of Mount St. Helens, which is right next to the

99
00:05:43.899 --> 00:05:48.019
Mount Adams Wilderness Area, which is kind of a known hotspot.

100
00:05:50.360 --> 00:05:55.139
All of our neighbors have had experiences, whether it's sightings

101
00:05:55.490 --> 00:06:02.519
or or, you know, hearing sounds, screams are not uncommon. Um,

102
00:06:02.910 --> 00:06:05.649
you know, this area is a real big hotspot for

103
00:06:06.490 --> 00:06:12.449
Bigfoot activity, quote unquote. Um, and we're only about 45

104
00:06:12.449 --> 00:06:16.870
miles as the crow flies from a pretty big hotspot for,

105
00:06:16.889 --> 00:06:21.040
you know, alien sightings and Bigfoot sightings. So it's, it's

106
00:06:21.139 --> 00:06:26.360
not super uncommon. The little town that's closest to Ariel, um,

107
00:06:27.519 --> 00:06:29.899
You know, they sell Bigfoot paraphernalia all over the place

108
00:06:29.959 --> 00:06:34.199
because it's pretty common for people to have some sort

109
00:06:34.240 --> 00:06:37.680
of weird experience out there with it. And, you know,

110
00:06:37.699 --> 00:06:40.980
it was always just kind of a fun, weird, you know,

111
00:06:42.120 --> 00:06:46.769
little kooky back town thing for us until we had

112
00:06:46.790 --> 00:06:50.069
that experience. And that was enough to turn me into

113
00:06:50.110 --> 00:06:52.209
a believer because I didn't see it.

114
00:06:52.949 --> 00:06:53.430
For sure.

115
00:06:53.610 --> 00:06:56.230
But I've never, you know, I grew up in these woods.

116
00:06:56.269 --> 00:06:58.230
I grew up out here and I've never, I don't

117
00:06:58.250 --> 00:06:59.730
know any other wild animal that would do that.

118
00:07:01.230 --> 00:07:01.389
Yeah.

119
00:07:01.430 --> 00:07:04.139
I mean, it is, there's nothing else that, that, that

120
00:07:04.160 --> 00:07:06.579
could really do that. Um, are any of your neighbors

121
00:07:06.620 --> 00:07:08.579
having stuff happen current day?

122
00:07:09.540 --> 00:07:11.339
You know, we moved off of that property a couple

123
00:07:11.360 --> 00:07:13.800
of years ago and I don't stay in touch with them.

124
00:07:13.980 --> 00:07:16.850
I know that we had one other neighbor that had, um,

125
00:07:17.870 --> 00:07:22.600
something big through a rock through their window. Um, And

126
00:07:22.819 --> 00:07:27.870
they lived past us at the end of a private road.

127
00:07:27.879 --> 00:07:30.029
You've got to go seven miles almost in on this

128
00:07:30.089 --> 00:07:32.170
private road. And nobody goes down this road unless you

129
00:07:32.189 --> 00:07:33.750
have to because it's the kind of area where you

130
00:07:33.790 --> 00:07:36.310
get shot if you get caught wandering around when you're

131
00:07:36.329 --> 00:07:40.310
not supposed to. And something threw a rock through their

132
00:07:40.329 --> 00:07:41.750
window at 2 o'clock in the morning, and it was

133
00:07:41.790 --> 00:07:43.290
standing outside in their yard screaming.

134
00:07:43.860 --> 00:07:44.639
No way.

135
00:07:44.740 --> 00:07:45.339
Seriously.

136
00:07:45.680 --> 00:07:49.769
And that was the same summer. So they were kind of, um,

137
00:07:49.810 --> 00:07:51.850
you know, we were talking to him about that cause

138
00:07:51.889 --> 00:07:54.670
they came up and we were telling him what happened

139
00:07:54.689 --> 00:07:57.009
and they're like, Oh my gosh, we just had, you know,

140
00:07:57.189 --> 00:07:59.050
this happened. And that's, they were actually coming to tell

141
00:07:59.110 --> 00:08:01.750
us about that to kind of put us on warning

142
00:08:01.769 --> 00:08:04.050
that like, Hey, did you see anybody down this way?

143
00:08:04.129 --> 00:08:05.730
And we're like, no, we didn't see anybody, but we

144
00:08:05.769 --> 00:08:07.750
had something really weird happened when we were camping a

145
00:08:07.750 --> 00:08:12.319
couple of weeks ago. So, um, and that was probably

146
00:08:12.360 --> 00:08:16.379
only a couple of hundred, yards from their house that

147
00:08:16.420 --> 00:08:21.160
this happened, the way that the properties kind of sit.

148
00:08:21.560 --> 00:08:23.939
So no other.

149
00:08:23.779 --> 00:08:25.800
Issues up there that I can think of off the.

150
00:08:25.759 --> 00:08:26.540
Top of my hand.

151
00:08:27.720 --> 00:08:32.519
Lots of maybe sightings, but nothing for sure. But those

152
00:08:32.539 --> 00:08:35.360
are the two that really stood out from when we

153
00:08:35.399 --> 00:08:36.059
were up there.

154
00:08:36.820 --> 00:08:37.120
Wow.

155
00:08:37.200 --> 00:08:41.159
Thank you for sharing that. And if you have contact

156
00:08:41.200 --> 00:08:43.419
with any of these neighbors still, you feel free to

157
00:08:44.340 --> 00:08:50.549
pass on my, uh, emails, bigfootsocietyatgmail.com. But, um, yeah, this is, that's,

158
00:08:50.570 --> 00:08:52.830
that's incredible. Thank you for, for sharing Jax.

159
00:08:53.429 --> 00:08:53.710
Yeah.

160
00:08:53.769 --> 00:08:57.149
Happy to. So it's always interesting hearing other people's experiences

161
00:08:57.190 --> 00:09:00.289
and then hearing other people's stories. The first time that

162
00:09:00.309 --> 00:09:02.190
I heard an audio, all the hair on my body

163
00:09:02.210 --> 00:09:03.590
went up. So I was like, Oh my God, that

164
00:09:03.610 --> 00:09:03.860
was it.

165
00:09:04.350 --> 00:09:05.289
That was what I heard.

166
00:09:05.870 --> 00:09:07.889
So, all right.

167
00:09:07.909 --> 00:09:08.799
Well, thank you for what you do.

168
00:09:09.379 --> 00:09:09.820
You got it.

169
00:09:10.860 --> 00:09:11.039
Bye.

170
00:09:13.360 --> 00:09:14.440
Let's see if Marlon's available.

171
00:09:17.039 --> 00:09:19.179
Hello? Hey, Marlon.

172
00:09:19.210 --> 00:09:21.210
This is Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society.

173
00:09:21.509 --> 00:09:22.049
Can you hear me okay?

174
00:09:22.070 --> 00:09:23.649
Oh, how's it going, man? Oh, yeah, you sound great.

175
00:09:23.750 --> 00:09:27.789
What's going on? It's going good. It's going good. Actually,

176
00:09:28.289 --> 00:09:33.730
probably about six or seven months ago, I found your podcast.

177
00:09:33.750 --> 00:09:38.370
I'm very interested in the Bigfoot world and really just

178
00:09:38.409 --> 00:09:42.350
the adventurous nature of Bigfoot hunting and why we can't really...

179
00:09:42.700 --> 00:09:45.639
Figure out more information about these creatures, why they're so mysterious.

180
00:09:45.679 --> 00:09:47.990
And I found your podcast. I found your TikTok. I'm

181
00:09:48.009 --> 00:09:51.289
a big fan. And I really appreciate the dedication of it.

182
00:09:51.289 --> 00:09:56.049
I really do. So, yeah, if you're interested, I can

183
00:09:56.080 --> 00:09:59.500
tell you a story. it's the first parts of it

184
00:09:59.580 --> 00:10:05.500
are not all that descriptive it's only probably about two

185
00:10:05.600 --> 00:10:09.299
months in total but because of the reoccurring events that's

186
00:10:09.340 --> 00:10:12.039
happening me constantly going back to this place and hunting

187
00:10:12.120 --> 00:10:15.220
almost every single day it's kind of what makes the

188
00:10:15.480 --> 00:10:19.240
story more interesting because of how much activity happens so

189
00:10:19.440 --> 00:10:24.879
often Yeah, go ahead. Okay. So I have a friend

190
00:10:24.909 --> 00:10:29.840
of mine that has property that butts up pretty close

191
00:10:29.919 --> 00:10:34.500
to Davy Crockett National Forest near Kennard, Texas. It's a

192
00:10:34.940 --> 00:10:39.669
real little bitty community. It's not that big at all.

193
00:10:39.690 --> 00:10:41.389
I don't even know if you consider it a city

194
00:10:41.429 --> 00:10:44.230
or a town. I think maybe a thousand people live

195
00:10:44.250 --> 00:10:46.429
in it. And we had been going hunting in this

196
00:10:46.490 --> 00:10:47.970
place for years.

197
00:10:48.529 --> 00:10:48.889
I mean.

198
00:10:50.279 --> 00:10:53.970
It's really one of those, if you don't know where

199
00:10:54.009 --> 00:10:58.289
it's at, you'll drive past it type places. There's not

200
00:10:58.350 --> 00:11:02.970
a whole lot of stories about these mysterious sightings or

201
00:11:03.029 --> 00:11:06.169
mysterious creatures or anything of that matter in this town.

202
00:11:06.210 --> 00:11:08.889
These are all a bunch of fishermen and hunters that

203
00:11:08.909 --> 00:11:12.440
are out in the wilderness all the time, constantly. So

204
00:11:12.460 --> 00:11:15.620
there's never any real stories that come up, or at

205
00:11:15.659 --> 00:11:17.779
least if there are any stories, no one talks about it.

206
00:11:18.090 --> 00:11:20.870
Because they don't want to be seen as this crazy nut.

207
00:11:21.730 --> 00:11:26.649
So we put game cameras out probably about two months

208
00:11:26.690 --> 00:11:31.159
or so before this deer season. This was back in 2019.

209
00:11:31.159 --> 00:11:33.299
And we got a couple of pictures of some deer.

210
00:11:33.840 --> 00:11:37.080
Nothing too crazy. Got one buck that looks really nice.

211
00:11:37.990 --> 00:11:38.120
And.

212
00:11:38.789 --> 00:11:41.409
As time goes on, as the days go on, the

213
00:11:41.509 --> 00:11:46.480
deer sightings for not just my camera on my stand,

214
00:11:47.000 --> 00:11:50.600
but the stands that my friend is using, it just

215
00:11:50.679 --> 00:11:53.659
slowly declines more and more and more and more. And

216
00:11:53.720 --> 00:11:57.370
like sometimes in the beginning, there was 10 or 12,

217
00:11:57.370 --> 00:11:59.590
like a whole big herd of deer. And then as

218
00:11:59.649 --> 00:12:03.210
time goes on, as the days go on, there'd be

219
00:12:03.370 --> 00:12:05.370
one or two less deer. And then the next day

220
00:12:05.429 --> 00:12:08.029
or next night, one or two less deer. So over

221
00:12:08.080 --> 00:12:10.200
a course of, I'd say, about three weeks, it gets

222
00:12:10.220 --> 00:12:12.879
to the point to where instead of seeing anywhere from

223
00:12:12.879 --> 00:12:16.039
10 to 20 deer within a 24-hour period, we'd be

224
00:12:16.080 --> 00:12:21.370
lucky to see one. Now, this happens. I'm sure people

225
00:12:21.570 --> 00:12:25.370
driving around looking for spots that's near the National Forest.

226
00:12:25.970 --> 00:12:28.070
People spook the deer out. We've seen this before. It's

227
00:12:28.110 --> 00:12:31.330
not really all that crazy of an occurrence, but it

228
00:12:31.409 --> 00:12:34.080
is interesting as to how quickly it's happening this time.

229
00:12:34.620 --> 00:12:37.929
So we keep putting feed out and... That's another sign

230
00:12:37.980 --> 00:12:41.240
that we're seeing is the corn and the mineral stuff

231
00:12:41.259 --> 00:12:43.580
that we're putting out is not getting eaten, at least

232
00:12:43.620 --> 00:12:46.500
not by deer. Sure, we see some raccoons and some

233
00:12:46.559 --> 00:12:50.279
pigs come by, but no real deer. So we don't

234
00:12:50.299 --> 00:12:52.039
think really much nothing of it. Maybe it's just a

235
00:12:52.080 --> 00:12:54.899
dry spell, time goes on. And then it gets to

236
00:12:54.940 --> 00:12:56.679
the point to where not even, we don't even see

237
00:12:56.700 --> 00:13:00.419
any raccoons, no pigs, not even hardly any squirrels in

238
00:13:00.470 --> 00:13:04.919
this 20 to 25 acre flat that we're hunting. And

239
00:13:05.000 --> 00:13:10.740
it just almost as if everything disappears. And we're sitting

240
00:13:10.759 --> 00:13:13.139
here scratching our heads like what in the world is

241
00:13:13.179 --> 00:13:16.159
going on? Why are all these animals and why is

242
00:13:16.179 --> 00:13:20.440
the deer population just disappearing? And then we're like, okay,

243
00:13:20.460 --> 00:13:23.000
let's move some spots. Let's go to the other back

244
00:13:23.000 --> 00:13:26.019
30 plot behind the house and let's see if they've

245
00:13:26.070 --> 00:13:28.509
moved over there for whatever reason. We're trying to figure

246
00:13:28.529 --> 00:13:30.389
these things out, trying to put two and two together.

247
00:13:30.850 --> 00:13:33.889
trying to see exactly what in the world is causing

248
00:13:33.950 --> 00:13:36.769
all these animals to just, for lack of better terms,

249
00:13:37.080 --> 00:13:42.940
magically disappear. So we take down our stands, we move

250
00:13:42.960 --> 00:13:45.559
them over, grab the feeders, move them over to this

251
00:13:45.960 --> 00:13:49.789
far side behind the house, and still same thing. A

252
00:13:49.830 --> 00:13:54.309
couple days goes by, absolutely nothing. Just nothing. It's almost

253
00:13:54.350 --> 00:13:58.350
like all the animals in this whole area all just poof.

254
00:13:59.269 --> 00:14:04.350
And then one day, There is a big oak tree

255
00:14:04.389 --> 00:14:07.049
that's right smack dab in the middle of this new

256
00:14:07.149 --> 00:14:11.139
spot where I have my camera set up. I got

257
00:14:11.179 --> 00:14:13.799
this food plot planted, got some corn spread out. There's

258
00:14:13.820 --> 00:14:16.100
a big tree right in the middle of it, probably

259
00:14:16.159 --> 00:14:19.580
about 15 yards from the camera, straight down the middle

260
00:14:19.639 --> 00:14:22.549
of it. And I finally get a notice. I have

261
00:14:22.570 --> 00:14:24.409
one of the cameras at this point to where it

262
00:14:24.570 --> 00:14:27.389
sends notifications on my phone. And I get a notification

263
00:14:27.429 --> 00:14:29.570
on my phone that something's walked in front of the camera.

264
00:14:30.120 --> 00:14:32.980
I look at the picture and I see nothing. And

265
00:14:33.000 --> 00:14:36.460
there was just this weird blur behind the tree that

266
00:14:36.500 --> 00:14:40.159
happens when the wind blows. Sure happens when the wind blows,

267
00:14:40.220 --> 00:14:45.610
maybe a limb, maybe a bird flew by or maybe

268
00:14:45.669 --> 00:14:48.360
something was running, you know, whatever. I think nothing of it.

269
00:14:49.090 --> 00:14:53.490
And then another 20, 30 minutes goes by and I

270
00:14:53.529 --> 00:14:57.159
get another notification on my phone that The same thing,

271
00:14:57.340 --> 00:15:04.019
except this big, now more predominant, splotchy blur seems to be,

272
00:15:04.100 --> 00:15:08.700
if it is something running, going the opposite direction. And

273
00:15:08.740 --> 00:15:11.330
I get this image, and I look deep into it,

274
00:15:11.419 --> 00:15:13.669
and I'm zooming in. I get it on my computer.

275
00:15:13.809 --> 00:15:16.929
I'm blowing it up. I'm looking all around, and I'm

276
00:15:17.269 --> 00:15:23.669
just like, what is this blur? And again, I don't

277
00:15:23.750 --> 00:15:27.019
think that much of it. And when I show these

278
00:15:27.080 --> 00:15:29.000
game camera pictures to my buddy, I'm like, hey, look

279
00:15:29.019 --> 00:15:32.100
at this. What is this? And he goes, man, I've

280
00:15:32.120 --> 00:15:35.500
heard stories about bears being in deep east Texas. Maybe

281
00:15:35.600 --> 00:15:38.519
it's just a bear. Okay, we're just going to chop

282
00:15:38.559 --> 00:15:41.409
it off as it's a bear or it's some type

283
00:15:41.450 --> 00:15:44.909
of weird limb. You know, it just, whatever. Who cares?

284
00:15:44.950 --> 00:15:46.610
Let's just go about our day, keep trying to find

285
00:15:46.649 --> 00:15:50.789
these deer. We think absolutely nothing of it again. That night,

286
00:15:51.029 --> 00:15:54.879
I kid you not, about 1 a.m., My phone is

287
00:15:54.919 --> 00:16:03.259
going absolutely crazy from game camera picture notifications. Normally, I

288
00:16:03.320 --> 00:16:07.149
turn my notifications off, my phone on silent when I

289
00:16:07.169 --> 00:16:09.990
go to bed. For whatever reason this night, I'm actually

290
00:16:10.009 --> 00:16:13.330
kind of glad I didn't. Now, I'm not going to

291
00:16:13.389 --> 00:16:16.169
sit here and tell you that I got a perfect

292
00:16:16.309 --> 00:16:21.399
picture of a Sasquatch or a Bigfoot in my camera.

293
00:16:22.090 --> 00:16:24.649
But I will say that I had about 10 to

294
00:16:24.649 --> 00:16:31.139
15 pictures of what looked to be a splotchy, brownish,

295
00:16:31.320 --> 00:16:37.919
blackish figure constantly running back and forth across my camera. Really.

296
00:16:38.279 --> 00:16:38.559
So.

297
00:16:40.799 --> 00:16:43.700
And I could never get a still picture of it.

298
00:16:44.850 --> 00:16:46.830
I don't know if it's coincidence or if it was

299
00:16:46.870 --> 00:16:52.100
intentional or if this thing or creature was. Was intentionally

300
00:16:52.580 --> 00:16:54.399
recognized that was a camera. I don't know if it

301
00:16:54.419 --> 00:16:56.820
was smart enough. Because I don't think it was a human.

302
00:16:57.000 --> 00:16:59.570
Because I feel like eventually. If you've seen a person

303
00:16:59.610 --> 00:17:03.629
running by. That. You know you'd catch. You'd be able

304
00:17:03.649 --> 00:17:04.069
to see it.

305
00:17:04.150 --> 00:17:04.670
If it's somebody.

306
00:17:04.710 --> 00:17:06.349
Even if it's in a big brown jacket. You'd be

307
00:17:06.369 --> 00:17:08.069
able to see. Oh that's somebody running in front of

308
00:17:08.089 --> 00:17:10.630
a camera. Or they're trying to dodge it. Or I

309
00:17:10.690 --> 00:17:12.920
feel like if it was a person. You would be

310
00:17:12.980 --> 00:17:16.079
able to depict it eventually. And every single time. This

311
00:17:16.119 --> 00:17:19.519
was just a flash or a blur. And like I

312
00:17:19.559 --> 00:17:22.359
said I have. I say 20, more like 10 to

313
00:17:22.359 --> 00:17:25.359
15 pictures of the same image running back and forth

314
00:17:25.380 --> 00:17:29.079
and back and forth. And I have these photos, and

315
00:17:29.099 --> 00:17:32.400
I'm looking through, and I still cannot depict what it is. Well,

316
00:17:33.079 --> 00:17:35.279
as I'm downloading all these pictures, it comes up to

317
00:17:35.319 --> 00:17:39.079
about now 215, 220. The Wi-Fi and Internet's really slow

318
00:17:40.359 --> 00:17:45.619
in this area, about 215, 220-ish range. And I hear

319
00:17:45.779 --> 00:17:50.220
what I think is coyotes hollering. And I'm like, oh,

320
00:17:50.220 --> 00:17:55.890
there's coyotes hollering. And then this really deep, low bellow

321
00:17:57.390 --> 00:18:01.390
that I can only describe almost as if like a

322
00:18:01.509 --> 00:18:08.490
moose call. Now, there are no moose in deep east

323
00:18:08.609 --> 00:18:13.470
Texas that I know of. And when I hear this,

324
00:18:14.190 --> 00:18:19.559
I'm like, okay, that's not a coyote. That's not a dog,

325
00:18:19.599 --> 00:18:21.569
or I don't think it's a wolf. I mean, I've

326
00:18:21.609 --> 00:18:24.690
heard old folks tell stories about East Texas timber wolves,

327
00:18:25.109 --> 00:18:28.309
but I've never seen one. That was just a low bellow.

328
00:18:28.390 --> 00:18:30.410
I can only describe it as like a moose call.

329
00:18:31.710 --> 00:18:34.920
And at this point, you know, it's in the middle

330
00:18:34.940 --> 00:18:38.019
of the night. From the previous time looking at the pictures,

331
00:18:38.059 --> 00:18:40.859
my buddy's asleep. So I wake him up and I'm like, man,

332
00:18:40.880 --> 00:18:43.359
we got to get outside or something crazy happening outside

333
00:18:43.400 --> 00:18:46.890
or something's screwing with my cameras and something made a

334
00:18:46.910 --> 00:18:50.730
low bellow. He thinks that I'm dreaming, and I shake him,

335
00:18:50.789 --> 00:18:53.990
and I bring him over to my computer, and I'm like,

336
00:18:54.029 --> 00:18:56.250
look at these pictures I just downloaded. Look at them.

337
00:18:57.690 --> 00:19:00.970
And then I also tell him about this little bellow,

338
00:19:01.230 --> 00:19:04.349
and he's like, man, somebody's out there messing with us.

339
00:19:04.349 --> 00:19:06.230
I'm like, no, it is not a human. It is

340
00:19:06.269 --> 00:19:08.279
not a person. I am telling you, it is not

341
00:19:08.299 --> 00:19:12.720
a human. It is something else. So we sit outside

342
00:19:12.900 --> 00:19:14.480
on the back porch of this house. This is an

343
00:19:14.579 --> 00:19:16.920
old cabin. This is like his grandparents' cabin that we

344
00:19:16.980 --> 00:19:18.890
stay in when we go hunting out there. We're sitting

345
00:19:18.910 --> 00:19:21.630
on the back porch. We're listening. We turn the porch

346
00:19:21.710 --> 00:19:23.880
lights off. We're trying to make it as dark as possible.

347
00:19:24.920 --> 00:19:28.140
It's about a half moon, so you can kind of

348
00:19:28.200 --> 00:19:32.789
see the open grounds a little bit. We're sitting, we're listening,

349
00:19:32.809 --> 00:19:36.789
nothing else happens that night. We even wait until it's

350
00:19:36.829 --> 00:19:40.609
about 6.15, 6.20 in the morning when the sun's creeping up.

351
00:19:40.670 --> 00:19:45.029
We don't hear anything weird besides some birds chirping, you know,

352
00:19:45.109 --> 00:19:49.970
nothing out of the ordinary. So that happens all the

353
00:19:50.210 --> 00:19:52.930
night and with the cameras and the bella screen and

354
00:19:52.970 --> 00:19:58.079
then just like a light switch goes off all of

355
00:19:58.130 --> 00:20:02.900
a sudden the following day we're starting to get a

356
00:20:02.960 --> 00:20:07.599
couple of more pictures of deer coming by and it's

357
00:20:07.619 --> 00:20:11.099
like hey the deer are finally back and we start

358
00:20:11.140 --> 00:20:13.460
to get a couple of pictures, and I found out

359
00:20:13.500 --> 00:20:15.779
that my buck that I really wanted to try to

360
00:20:15.819 --> 00:20:18.960
take that season came back, and then we're starting to

361
00:20:19.000 --> 00:20:21.329
see more and more, almost as if, hey, maybe they

362
00:20:21.349 --> 00:20:25.150
made some type of real long trip, some long couple-week

363
00:20:25.230 --> 00:20:27.990
trek or something, and then came back, and everything's, hey,

364
00:20:28.029 --> 00:20:31.829
back to normal, seems like. So about a week and

365
00:20:31.869 --> 00:20:36.519
a half goes by. It's getting close to dove season

366
00:20:37.400 --> 00:20:40.529
in September in Texas. We've still got about A few

367
00:20:40.569 --> 00:20:44.930
weeks before bow season happens. And we're out shooting dove.

368
00:20:45.009 --> 00:20:48.410
We're still getting game camera pictures of deer. So everything

369
00:20:48.559 --> 00:20:52.680
is alright and normal. And then I'm not even kidding

370
00:20:52.720 --> 00:20:57.920
you whenever I tell you the weekend of bow season.

371
00:20:58.119 --> 00:21:00.500
Like we go back on a Thursday and then that

372
00:21:00.559 --> 00:21:02.339
Saturday is going to be the opening of bow season.

373
00:21:02.859 --> 00:21:08.059
So that Thursday night... whenever we're unpacking the truck, getting

374
00:21:08.140 --> 00:21:12.059
all of our supplies out ready to go. At this point,

375
00:21:12.140 --> 00:21:17.089
it had been almost a month's worth of days since

376
00:21:17.130 --> 00:21:20.529
that bellow, probably a little over three weeks since that happened.

377
00:21:21.450 --> 00:21:24.990
And we're unloading the truck. We're getting everything ready to

378
00:21:25.009 --> 00:21:27.319
rock and roll. We're getting our broadheads on, getting our

379
00:21:27.359 --> 00:21:30.920
clothes washed down in that dead down wind detergent. You

380
00:21:30.960 --> 00:21:32.779
make sure we got the boots, make sure we got

381
00:21:32.839 --> 00:21:36.599
all of our supplies ready. And it comes to about

382
00:21:36.599 --> 00:21:40.900
1030 at night whenever I'm finally getting worn down, the

383
00:21:40.940 --> 00:21:45.009
excitement of the new deer season. And I finally get

384
00:21:45.029 --> 00:21:48.150
worn down, go to sleep. My buddy stays up. He's

385
00:21:48.190 --> 00:21:51.109
listening to the radio, local country station, playing on his

386
00:21:51.150 --> 00:21:54.750
phone a little bit. And I don't know, maybe an

387
00:21:54.869 --> 00:21:57.869
hour of me being asleep. I think it was close

388
00:21:57.890 --> 00:22:01.990
to 1140 ish, something like that. when I looked on

389
00:22:02.029 --> 00:22:03.970
my phone, but he woke me up out of a

390
00:22:04.029 --> 00:22:10.250
dead sleep. And he goes, Marlon, get up. That screaming

391
00:22:10.289 --> 00:22:13.470
thing is back. And I said, what? I said, what?

392
00:22:14.069 --> 00:22:17.150
He wakes me out of a dead sleep, literally grabs

393
00:22:17.230 --> 00:22:19.779
me by my armpits and pulls me up. And he goes,

394
00:22:19.880 --> 00:22:24.259
get outside now. That screaming thing is back. And I'm,

395
00:22:24.500 --> 00:22:27.099
I'm still like, I'm still kind of like half asleep

396
00:22:27.599 --> 00:22:30.329
and I don't think anything. I just, I grab a,

397
00:22:30.819 --> 00:22:34.359
of a flashlight. I'm outside with him. I'm, I'm shirtless

398
00:22:35.019 --> 00:22:37.579
in my, in my underwear and in my gym shorts.

399
00:22:38.039 --> 00:22:43.420
I did think enough to grab some house shoes, but, um,

400
00:22:44.539 --> 00:22:48.940
so I go out and I'm looking around and I'm

401
00:22:48.960 --> 00:22:51.420
just like, what, what, what, what's going on? What, why'd

402
00:22:51.440 --> 00:22:53.609
you get me on here? And he goes, I heard

403
00:22:53.640 --> 00:22:55.890
the scream. And I said, what are you talking about?

404
00:22:55.910 --> 00:22:58.029
He goes, remember that time back you told me you

405
00:22:58.049 --> 00:22:59.930
heard that low bellow and we sat out here all

406
00:22:59.970 --> 00:23:02.210
night and waited, we didn't hear nothing? I'm like, yeah.

407
00:23:02.650 --> 00:23:06.769
He goes, it's back. And I said, okay, so what

408
00:23:06.809 --> 00:23:08.069
do you want to do? What do you think we

409
00:23:08.089 --> 00:23:14.009
should do right now? And he goes, let's all, let's get... uh, dress.

410
00:23:14.029 --> 00:23:17.740
Let's all get scored away. Let's grab some weapons and

411
00:23:17.759 --> 00:23:19.779
let's go see if we can find this thing. I'm like,

412
00:23:19.900 --> 00:23:22.400
what are we going to, are we going to hunt it?

413
00:23:23.019 --> 00:23:25.980
Are we going to hunt it? He goes, no, if anything,

414
00:23:26.339 --> 00:23:29.109
we're just going to scare it off. And I was like,

415
00:23:29.130 --> 00:23:31.009
so what do you think it is? He goes, I

416
00:23:31.089 --> 00:23:34.190
don't want to admit this, but I feel like it

417
00:23:34.230 --> 00:23:39.150
might be a Sasquatch or a Bigfoot. And I'm like, okay, well,

418
00:23:39.690 --> 00:23:41.829
if that's what you want to do, Let's get dressed.

419
00:23:41.849 --> 00:23:44.430
Let's go. So we get dressed. We have a side-by-side.

420
00:23:44.450 --> 00:23:46.549
He unloads it off of the trailer. We get it

421
00:23:46.569 --> 00:23:51.069
gassed up. Have our weapons, just for self-defense, go out there, spotlighting,

422
00:23:51.109 --> 00:23:56.700
just looking around. The distinct thing I do remember is

423
00:23:56.740 --> 00:24:00.319
the fact that, you know that back of your neck,

424
00:24:00.859 --> 00:24:04.220
someone's watching you type feeling when your hair stands up?

425
00:24:05.319 --> 00:24:10.000
So that type of feeling happened whenever we got near where...

426
00:24:12.059 --> 00:24:14.200
where my stand was, where we had moved from the

427
00:24:14.259 --> 00:24:16.980
previous location, like they had the first stand set up

428
00:24:17.019 --> 00:24:18.960
and then where I moved it since I started seeing

429
00:24:19.000 --> 00:24:21.660
more deer, I just left it all there. And after

430
00:24:21.700 --> 00:24:23.549
all the time of waiting and waiting, so we got

431
00:24:23.569 --> 00:24:27.170
to the new, the quote unquote newer spot where my

432
00:24:27.309 --> 00:24:30.990
stand was and looked around looking. And I just had

433
00:24:31.029 --> 00:24:33.430
this feeling of, man, someone is watching me right now.

434
00:24:34.109 --> 00:24:36.430
I didn't say nothing, but at first I was looking

435
00:24:36.470 --> 00:24:40.839
around and some, something is watching me. Something is, It's

436
00:24:40.859 --> 00:24:44.220
staring me down. I get shining around, looking and looking.

437
00:24:44.759 --> 00:24:49.039
And he doesn't have the spotlight that's hooked into the side-by-side.

438
00:24:49.380 --> 00:24:54.630
He has a big, like, almost Magnum P.I. style flashlight,

439
00:24:54.670 --> 00:24:56.430
one of the long ones that takes the big D batteries.

440
00:24:56.890 --> 00:25:02.190
He's shining around. And he lets out this blood-curling scream

441
00:25:02.210 --> 00:25:04.920
at the top of his lungs. Freaked me out. Made

442
00:25:04.980 --> 00:25:09.400
me drop the spotlight, which somehow turned it off. And

443
00:25:09.440 --> 00:25:11.240
when I looked over towards him to see why is

444
00:25:11.259 --> 00:25:13.980
he screaming, he goes, I saw it. I saw it.

445
00:25:14.089 --> 00:25:16.809
I saw it. And I'm like, what? I'm like, what?

446
00:25:16.849 --> 00:25:19.769
What did you see? He goes, the blur. It's just

447
00:25:19.809 --> 00:25:24.589
the blur. And I'm like, okay, calm down. You got

448
00:25:24.650 --> 00:25:28.980
to catch yourself. Tell me what happened. And he said,

449
00:25:29.000 --> 00:25:31.839
I seen the blur that you seen on the camera.

450
00:25:31.859 --> 00:25:33.319
I was like, what did it look like? He goes,

451
00:25:33.400 --> 00:25:39.809
some type of weird man thing. And I was like, okay,

452
00:25:39.990 --> 00:25:42.049
was it a guy? Is it a guy running out here?

453
00:25:42.170 --> 00:25:47.380
Is he poaching the deer? And he goes, no, it's

454
00:25:47.440 --> 00:25:49.410
not a guy because he didn't have any clothes on.

455
00:25:49.420 --> 00:25:53.940
I was like, so was it a bigfoot? Was it

456
00:25:53.980 --> 00:25:58.039
a Sasquatch? And his hand is shaking. His whole body

457
00:25:58.099 --> 00:26:01.380
is shaking, but I can remember distinctly his hand that

458
00:26:01.400 --> 00:26:05.519
was holding the light was shaking so bad. And I

459
00:26:05.599 --> 00:26:07.940
looked in the area where he's seen it. He said

460
00:26:07.960 --> 00:26:10.599
he's seen it. And I don't see anything. I'm looking

461
00:26:10.660 --> 00:26:13.819
around and I don't see anything. And I can't really

462
00:26:13.900 --> 00:26:16.859
see quite that great with the light in the trees

463
00:26:16.940 --> 00:26:18.960
because he's shaking so much. So I grabbed the light

464
00:26:19.000 --> 00:26:21.440
from his hand, make him sit down the side by side.

465
00:26:21.480 --> 00:26:24.839
I'm just scanning, looking over the tree line, looking near

466
00:26:24.859 --> 00:26:28.440
where the bushes are and I don't see anything. And

467
00:26:29.019 --> 00:26:31.849
I'm like, okay, let's get you back to the house

468
00:26:31.940 --> 00:26:34.190
or the cabin. Let's get you back there, get you

469
00:26:34.230 --> 00:26:38.470
calmed down, and let's think about this and see if

470
00:26:38.509 --> 00:26:41.799
we need to call somebody, talk to a park ranger,

471
00:26:42.480 --> 00:26:44.779
or call a game warden and see what they think

472
00:26:44.839 --> 00:26:49.200
is going on. So we get back to the cabin.

473
00:26:49.759 --> 00:26:52.369
It's one of those I don't know what to say

474
00:26:52.480 --> 00:26:56.869
type drives. I mean, it's only like a a five

475
00:26:56.910 --> 00:26:59.960
minute drive to my stand. It's, it's only maybe a

476
00:27:00.619 --> 00:27:04.220
quarter mile from not even a quarter mile from the

477
00:27:04.259 --> 00:27:07.039
cabin to where I got everything set up in my spot.

478
00:27:08.079 --> 00:27:11.059
But we get back to the cabin. I helped walk

479
00:27:11.079 --> 00:27:13.210
him up, send him on the bed. He's just shaken

480
00:27:13.269 --> 00:27:17.569
up really bad. Very, very scared. It's obvious that this

481
00:27:17.670 --> 00:27:21.109
man has seen something as shook him to the core.

482
00:27:22.130 --> 00:27:25.559
So I'm trying to make sense of all this. I

483
00:27:25.680 --> 00:27:29.220
don't want to believe that we actually, or he actually,

484
00:27:29.339 --> 00:27:33.579
just seen a Sasquatch in an area where I've never

485
00:27:33.640 --> 00:27:37.460
heard any Bigfoot stories. But if you think about it,

486
00:27:38.619 --> 00:27:41.980
why wouldn't that be the perfect spot? You know what

487
00:27:42.029 --> 00:27:46.250
I'm saying? If there are no stories, or you don't

488
00:27:46.289 --> 00:27:50.190
really know of any stories, of these creatures in this

489
00:27:50.410 --> 00:27:53.450
deep thicket wood with all these trees and all this

490
00:27:54.089 --> 00:27:59.430
somewhat uncharted land of national forest and private property, small towns.

491
00:27:59.490 --> 00:28:02.150
I mean, why wouldn't it be a good spot for

492
00:28:02.190 --> 00:28:04.259
them to be traveling through or for one to be

493
00:28:04.299 --> 00:28:09.059
hanging out? So I try to get some sleep. Obviously,

494
00:28:09.180 --> 00:28:13.819
between cat naps, I don't get hardly any sleep. Next morning,

495
00:28:15.000 --> 00:28:18.470
my alarm goes off at I think it was 5 a.m.,

496
00:28:18.509 --> 00:28:21.529
something like that, like 30 or 40 minutes before daylight.

497
00:28:22.309 --> 00:28:24.650
I get up. I go wake him up, and he's like,

498
00:28:24.710 --> 00:28:27.650
I'm not going in them woods. So I say, okay,

499
00:28:28.190 --> 00:28:31.650
you want to stay here? Fine. And the crazy thing

500
00:28:31.710 --> 00:28:35.839
about it is whenever I walked out the door to

501
00:28:36.460 --> 00:28:40.059
put my stuff in this side of the side, you know,

502
00:28:40.099 --> 00:28:41.519
heck with it. I came out here to hunt. I'm

503
00:28:41.539 --> 00:28:43.680
going to hunt myself. There's not too many things in

504
00:28:43.720 --> 00:28:47.029
the woods that will scare me off. I want you

505
00:28:47.049 --> 00:28:50.400
to remember that I said that. There's not too many

506
00:28:50.440 --> 00:28:53.420
things in this woods that will scare me off. So

507
00:28:53.700 --> 00:28:56.960
as I'm starting to leave, I hear him lock the

508
00:28:56.980 --> 00:29:01.680
door behind me. Like, that's how terrified he is. So

509
00:29:01.740 --> 00:29:05.009
I'm just, okay, whatever. Let's go sleep it off. I

510
00:29:05.029 --> 00:29:07.450
don't care. So I go drive to my stand. I

511
00:29:07.470 --> 00:29:10.509
parked side by side some ways back. I go climb

512
00:29:10.569 --> 00:29:17.049
up in my stand. And relatively... not much activity that

513
00:29:17.089 --> 00:29:20.809
first opening morning. I've seen one little doe that had

514
00:29:20.849 --> 00:29:23.630
a fawn with her, let her pass. This is about 20,

515
00:29:23.609 --> 00:29:27.000
30 minutes of daylight, nothing crazy. I like to sleep

516
00:29:27.059 --> 00:29:29.579
to about, or excuse me, I like to stay till

517
00:29:29.619 --> 00:29:32.960
about 9.30, 10 o'clock if I don't see anything. If

518
00:29:33.029 --> 00:29:35.390
I see a lot of deer moving, I'll stay till

519
00:29:35.430 --> 00:29:38.150
about 11 or 12. It all just depends on what

520
00:29:38.190 --> 00:29:40.400
I see. So I see a few deer here, and there.

521
00:29:40.420 --> 00:29:42.960
I see a couple of small bucks that are too

522
00:29:43.000 --> 00:29:50.089
small to take. And sitting here, listening to the birds chirping, okay,

523
00:29:50.150 --> 00:29:53.990
despite this creature being seen, it seems like the wildlife

524
00:29:54.089 --> 00:29:55.349
is back. Awesome.

525
00:29:55.450 --> 00:29:55.750
Great.

526
00:29:55.809 --> 00:30:01.680
Fantastic. Cool. And That's virtually it. I get down from

527
00:30:01.700 --> 00:30:03.940
my stand. I get back in the side by side.

528
00:30:04.200 --> 00:30:07.339
I go back, take a quick little nap, get something

529
00:30:07.359 --> 00:30:09.660
to eat. I'm going back out for my evening hunt.

530
00:30:10.319 --> 00:30:12.839
And I asked him, do you want to go with me?

531
00:30:12.960 --> 00:30:14.880
He said, like I said, I'm not going out in

532
00:30:14.900 --> 00:30:19.180
those woods. I will leave with you whenever we go

533
00:30:19.259 --> 00:30:22.700
home Sunday night. But other than that, I am staying

534
00:30:23.019 --> 00:30:28.059
right here. Okay, fine. I respect that. Go ahead. So

535
00:30:28.099 --> 00:30:30.960
this is the evening hunt of the Saturday. I go in.

536
00:30:30.980 --> 00:30:34.849
I sit. I don't see anything. And then about 20

537
00:30:34.849 --> 00:30:39.730
minutes before dark, right whenever we like to call prime time,

538
00:30:40.529 --> 00:30:44.130
like whenever it's just about to be dark, in my experience,

539
00:30:44.430 --> 00:30:46.599
the biggest bucks I've ever shot, the most deer I've

540
00:30:46.670 --> 00:30:50.660
ever shot, is right after daylight or right before it

541
00:30:50.680 --> 00:30:54.200
gets dark. And I like to call it prime time

542
00:30:54.220 --> 00:30:56.759
for that reason. So 20 minutes or so before dark.

543
00:30:57.420 --> 00:31:03.450
My target buck walks out, and I'm like, holy crap.

544
00:31:03.609 --> 00:31:06.809
I'm not even remembering about the creature at this point.

545
00:31:06.950 --> 00:31:10.250
That's gone from my mind. As crazy as that sounds,

546
00:31:10.569 --> 00:31:15.680
it's gone. So I see the buck come out, and

547
00:31:15.740 --> 00:31:18.019
I grab my bow, and I stand up from my stand.

548
00:31:18.599 --> 00:31:20.960
I get my arrow. I have my arrow knocked. I

549
00:31:20.980 --> 00:31:24.259
get my release knocked on the back of my string.

550
00:31:24.279 --> 00:31:26.759
I'm ready to rock and roll. I get it pointed up.

551
00:31:26.880 --> 00:31:30.700
I'm about to draw back on him. And I hear

552
00:31:31.000 --> 00:31:37.400
what sounds like an elephant come crashing through the brush

553
00:31:38.529 --> 00:31:44.430
probably 10 to 15 yards behind me. And when I

554
00:31:44.529 --> 00:31:51.680
hear this, I freeze. Now, initially, in my experience... If

555
00:31:51.740 --> 00:31:55.079
there's two bucks in rut and if one sees another

556
00:31:55.180 --> 00:31:58.140
and if he's really riled up, he will tear through

557
00:31:58.200 --> 00:32:00.880
hell and back to fight this buck. It's just what

558
00:32:00.920 --> 00:32:03.000
deer do in a rut. But it's not time for

559
00:32:03.019 --> 00:32:05.859
the rut yet. So the first couple of seconds, I'm like, dang,

560
00:32:05.900 --> 00:32:07.259
is that a bigger buck trying to chase him up?

561
00:32:07.299 --> 00:32:10.200
Wait a minute. They're not in rut yet. What is that?

562
00:32:10.240 --> 00:32:13.880
A big old hog? What is that going on? And

563
00:32:14.359 --> 00:32:17.259
where my deer stand is set up is like my

564
00:32:17.319 --> 00:32:21.099
back is towards tree line. There's an opening. And then there's...

565
00:32:22.470 --> 00:32:25.170
it's almost like a skylight amongst the trees. There's a

566
00:32:25.190 --> 00:32:29.049
little circle that's been cut out naturally from the trees,

567
00:32:29.190 --> 00:32:31.269
opening with the oak trees and everything else, and that's

568
00:32:31.289 --> 00:32:33.670
where I planted my food plot, my corn. So I

569
00:32:33.930 --> 00:32:36.339
don't see what's going on, and my hunter's instinct is

570
00:32:36.359 --> 00:32:39.619
kicking in, like, hey, don't turn quickly. If it's something

571
00:32:39.640 --> 00:32:42.180
you're going to want to take, then leave it be,

572
00:32:42.299 --> 00:32:45.500
or try to be still with it. So I'm looking,

573
00:32:45.539 --> 00:32:47.519
I'm looking, I can't see, but I hear this thing

574
00:32:47.680 --> 00:32:51.720
crashing through the forest, and At this point, when it's

575
00:32:51.779 --> 00:32:55.019
crashing and crashing through, my target buck runs off. And

576
00:32:55.039 --> 00:32:59.359
I'm like, well, dang, there goes my target buck. And

577
00:32:59.400 --> 00:33:09.539
this thing runs out perfectly in the dead center of

578
00:33:09.599 --> 00:33:18.269
my food plot and stops. And I'm like, what was that?

579
00:33:19.890 --> 00:33:22.920
And I look, and the best way I can describe

580
00:33:22.960 --> 00:33:25.180
it to you is about an eight-foot monkey man.

581
00:33:26.359 --> 00:33:26.799
Whoa.

582
00:33:27.839 --> 00:33:32.529
Stops and looks in the direction that the deer was running,

583
00:33:34.109 --> 00:33:38.450
does this little snort, lifts his nose up in the air,

584
00:33:39.210 --> 00:33:42.049
and then takes off in the same direction the deer does.

585
00:33:44.569 --> 00:33:47.480
Thank God it did not see me. At least I

586
00:33:47.500 --> 00:33:51.440
don't think it did. It never turned its head towards me. Now,

587
00:33:51.480 --> 00:33:55.869
when it ran off, it did not run with the

588
00:33:55.950 --> 00:33:59.930
same intensity as when it initially came through, at least

589
00:33:59.970 --> 00:34:02.410
not to me. It didn't seem like it was barreling

590
00:34:02.430 --> 00:34:05.440
through the brush quite as much. So I don't know.

591
00:34:05.460 --> 00:34:08.039
It did sprint away, but I don't know if it

592
00:34:08.079 --> 00:34:10.219
was trying to chase the deer down and not let

593
00:34:10.239 --> 00:34:12.480
the deer know that it was right behind it or

594
00:34:12.500 --> 00:34:16.199
if it was a territorial thing or what. At that point,

595
00:34:16.800 --> 00:34:20.550
I put my bow down. I climb out of the stand.

596
00:34:20.670 --> 00:34:23.510
I get in the side-by-side. I drive to the cabin.

597
00:34:24.010 --> 00:34:27.769
We load everything up. I have not gone back since.

598
00:34:30.360 --> 00:34:32.579
Oh, my goodness. How long ago was this again?

599
00:34:32.820 --> 00:34:36.199
So, 2019. Okay. Yeah, that's what I thought.

600
00:34:37.380 --> 00:34:37.840
Wow.

601
00:34:38.059 --> 00:34:39.199
Oh, my goodness.

602
00:34:40.239 --> 00:34:42.110
That is insane, man.

603
00:34:42.570 --> 00:34:46.469
Yeah. And the thing about it is, as I tell

604
00:34:46.530 --> 00:34:49.630
people that, I tell his parents that. I tell his

605
00:34:49.650 --> 00:34:52.449
grandparents that. I even called the game warden and said,

606
00:34:52.469 --> 00:34:54.050
you need to go out there and figure out what's

607
00:34:54.070 --> 00:34:57.210
going on. There's a Bigfoot out there. And it got

608
00:34:57.309 --> 00:34:59.929
so close, too close for comfort. And they laugh at me.

609
00:35:00.309 --> 00:35:03.619
They're like, okay, you guys have been out there getting drunk.

610
00:35:04.219 --> 00:35:08.260
I was like, no, no. My buddy doesn't drink. He

611
00:35:08.300 --> 00:35:12.320
can tell you. And when I try to get him

612
00:35:12.400 --> 00:35:16.380
on the phone, for the sake of not sounding crazy...

613
00:35:17.619 --> 00:35:20.610
I have to forcibly make him talk about it if

614
00:35:20.670 --> 00:35:22.730
I want him to tell the story. If not, I

615
00:35:22.769 --> 00:35:24.250
have to be the one to tell the story. He

616
00:35:24.289 --> 00:35:27.530
sits there quietly. Like he will not talk about it.

617
00:35:27.849 --> 00:35:31.280
And the only reason I like telling people that story

618
00:35:31.360 --> 00:35:34.119
is because of the fact that obviously at that point

619
00:35:34.139 --> 00:35:36.579
that made me a Bigfoot believer. I mean, what more

620
00:35:36.659 --> 00:35:39.880
proof do I need? I mean, the proof just fell there.

621
00:35:40.500 --> 00:35:42.559
right in front of my lap, right in front of me.

622
00:35:42.960 --> 00:35:44.500
I mean, I could have shot it with my bow

623
00:35:44.519 --> 00:35:45.920
if I really wanted to. Don't know if I would

624
00:35:45.940 --> 00:35:48.139
have hurt it or not, but I'm not saying I would,

625
00:35:48.199 --> 00:35:53.070
but that's how legitimately how close it get. And I

626
00:35:53.090 --> 00:35:57.289
haven't been back since. I tell the grandparents almost every

627
00:35:57.309 --> 00:35:59.909
single year, the grandparents will call me back. Hey, you

628
00:35:59.929 --> 00:36:02.590
want to go hunt our place in Kennard? And I'm like, no.

629
00:36:03.130 --> 00:36:04.489
And they're like, are you going to be scared of

630
00:36:04.539 --> 00:36:08.409
that place forever? And I'm like, Look, whatever that thing was,

631
00:36:08.800 --> 00:36:12.000
obviously I'm in his territory, not he's in mine. So

632
00:36:12.019 --> 00:36:14.739
I'm going to leave it be. And the crazy, even

633
00:36:14.860 --> 00:36:17.940
crazier than that is that people go out there. His

634
00:36:17.980 --> 00:36:20.340
family members go out there. They go dove hunting. They

635
00:36:20.360 --> 00:36:24.300
go duck hunting. Sometimes they dug them a pond out

636
00:36:24.340 --> 00:36:26.300
there and went started going duck hunting there the last

637
00:36:26.340 --> 00:36:28.980
couple of years. They go deer hunting and they never

638
00:36:29.039 --> 00:36:31.409
tell me any stories or they don't say any stories

639
00:36:31.469 --> 00:36:34.469
out loud of them seeing this creature. So I don't

640
00:36:34.550 --> 00:36:37.829
know if it ran off. or if somebody's seen it,

641
00:36:38.130 --> 00:36:40.710
or if it finally passed along its way, or if

642
00:36:40.769 --> 00:36:43.690
it's still there, and with all the activity, it got

643
00:36:43.730 --> 00:36:47.090
better at hiding, or with all the activity of lots

644
00:36:47.150 --> 00:36:49.130
more people going out there and hunting and things of

645
00:36:49.150 --> 00:36:51.929
that matter, that it just decided to scamper off. Because

646
00:36:52.110 --> 00:36:54.750
no one has said anything or had any more game

647
00:36:54.789 --> 00:36:59.909
camera pictures passed once I told them about that in

648
00:36:59.949 --> 00:37:02.539
the last hunting trip we went out there in 2019.

649
00:37:02.539 --> 00:37:05.360
No one has said a word or came forward saying, hey,

650
00:37:05.869 --> 00:37:08.329
I got the same type of game camera pictures. I

651
00:37:08.349 --> 00:37:10.449
had this. I heard that. Nobody.

652
00:37:12.949 --> 00:37:15.409
Wow, I can understand how you haven't been back in

653
00:37:16.110 --> 00:37:16.949
almost six years.

654
00:37:17.429 --> 00:37:17.650
Yeah.

655
00:37:21.800 --> 00:37:26.239
Does this party you ever want to go back out

656
00:37:26.280 --> 00:37:27.860
there or not a chance?

657
00:37:28.539 --> 00:37:36.110
So because of how successful our hunts were, When we

658
00:37:36.150 --> 00:37:40.090
deer hunted there regularly, yes. But at the same time,

659
00:37:40.510 --> 00:37:43.909
just the thought of me getting back in that tree

660
00:37:43.949 --> 00:37:47.590
stand and the slight chance that that thing could walk

661
00:37:47.659 --> 00:37:50.940
up underneath me and actually see me this time scares

662
00:37:51.000 --> 00:37:55.420
me so much that even whenever I'm in the woods nowadays...

663
00:37:56.210 --> 00:38:00.329
And I'm– it's like there's no Bigfoots here. I'm a hunter.

664
00:38:00.789 --> 00:38:05.250
I'm a thousand miles away. I'm hunting the devil's backbone

665
00:38:05.289 --> 00:38:07.889
in New Mexico going after elk. There's no reason that

666
00:38:07.949 --> 00:38:10.969
that creature would be from deep east Texas would follow

667
00:38:11.010 --> 00:38:15.150
me there. But there could be a chance. So I

668
00:38:15.190 --> 00:38:17.809
always had that in the back of my mind. And–

669
00:38:20.329 --> 00:38:21.840
And I'm not saying it scares me out of the

670
00:38:21.860 --> 00:38:24.320
woods completely, but I do keep my head on a

671
00:38:24.340 --> 00:38:26.619
swivel every time I'm in any kind of woods, any

672
00:38:26.659 --> 00:38:30.760
kind of mountains nowadays. Especially me reading stories and seeing

673
00:38:30.800 --> 00:38:34.719
them virtually almost all over the whole U.S. now. Almost

674
00:38:34.800 --> 00:38:37.360
all over the entire U.S. it seems like. In any

675
00:38:37.400 --> 00:38:41.969
wooded area, even some bigger towns in Colorado right outside

676
00:38:42.010 --> 00:38:44.829
of them. I mean, I'm just like, holy crap. With

677
00:38:45.070 --> 00:38:48.730
us expanding our villages and our cities, we're getting right

678
00:38:48.750 --> 00:38:49.650
into their backyards.

679
00:38:50.500 --> 00:38:54.340
So um you said it looked like a monkey man

680
00:38:54.360 --> 00:38:58.559
do you do you think of a certain monkey when

681
00:38:58.579 --> 00:38:59.980
you remember what you saw.

682
00:38:59.760 --> 00:39:13.429
A dramatically bigger it just an eight foot tall human

683
00:39:13.489 --> 00:39:16.690
that was dramatically hairy but it had the features of

684
00:39:16.750 --> 00:39:18.769
like a gorilla it didn't have the It didn't have

685
00:39:18.809 --> 00:39:21.889
the head of a gorilla, but it had the arms

686
00:39:22.030 --> 00:39:24.050
and the legs, and it was kind of bowed over

687
00:39:24.090 --> 00:39:25.849
a little bit like you'd see a gorilla when it

688
00:39:25.869 --> 00:39:28.329
stands on its back legs. But it didn't have the

689
00:39:28.389 --> 00:39:31.309
head of it. It had the head of almost... human-esque-like.

690
00:39:32.809 --> 00:39:34.639
The reason I say monkey man is because I was like,

691
00:39:34.679 --> 00:39:38.969
holy crap, is that an eight-foot-tall gorilla? No, that doesn't

692
00:39:38.989 --> 00:39:44.239
have the head. So that's what I say by monkey man.

693
00:39:44.280 --> 00:39:48.219
I mean, the appendages looked ape-esque-like.

694
00:39:50.230 --> 00:39:55.150
Wow, that's a really, really intense story. Thank you for

695
00:39:55.530 --> 00:40:00.510
getting on and sharing that. Oh, yeah, you're welcome. If

696
00:40:00.550 --> 00:40:03.929
you ever do go back there or you ever hear anything,

697
00:40:04.730 --> 00:40:07.130
please feel free to reach out. You can email me

698
00:40:07.190 --> 00:40:09.250
at bigfootsociety at gmail.com.

699
00:40:09.829 --> 00:40:10.329
Absolutely.

700
00:40:10.929 --> 00:40:14.050
It looks like that town, when they last did their census,

701
00:40:14.750 --> 00:40:16.269
was only a few hundred people.

702
00:40:16.789 --> 00:40:18.010
Yeah, makes sense.

703
00:40:19.440 --> 00:40:20.909
Did it have a weird smell at all?

704
00:40:22.969 --> 00:40:27.389
You know, honestly, I was in such fear that if

705
00:40:27.469 --> 00:40:28.949
it did have a smell, I couldn't tell you what

706
00:40:28.989 --> 00:40:31.739
it was. I mean, I was just so in shock.

707
00:40:32.710 --> 00:40:35.030
I mean, maybe if I think hard enough, I can

708
00:40:35.150 --> 00:40:36.989
try to come up with a smell, but I'd be

709
00:40:37.050 --> 00:40:39.550
lying to you. I mean, I don't remember. I just

710
00:40:39.590 --> 00:40:42.780
remember the noise of it coming out, crashing through the woods,

711
00:40:43.320 --> 00:40:47.920
it eventually stepping out. The snort thing, that was the

712
00:40:47.940 --> 00:40:50.440
other thing when I say like a monkey man, because

713
00:40:50.480 --> 00:40:53.699
it almost had like a grunt like a silverback does,

714
00:40:53.800 --> 00:40:59.469
but not quite as low. But the snort. And then

715
00:40:59.510 --> 00:41:02.380
it running the same direction the deer ran. I don't

716
00:41:02.420 --> 00:41:04.460
remember any kind of smell. I think I was just

717
00:41:04.500 --> 00:41:07.300
so in shock and in fear that I might not

718
00:41:07.340 --> 00:41:08.960
have been breathing at all, to be honest with you.

719
00:41:09.559 --> 00:41:13.260
No, I totally get it. I've heard vocalizations, and that

720
00:41:13.420 --> 00:41:16.500
alone kind of shocked me. So I can't imagine a visual. But,

721
00:41:17.059 --> 00:41:20.800
I mean, it'd be interesting if there were game cams

722
00:41:20.880 --> 00:41:22.780
put up in that area, but that's a lot to

723
00:41:22.920 --> 00:41:25.860
ask for someone to go back there when they've had

724
00:41:25.900 --> 00:41:26.719
a visual like that.

725
00:41:26.739 --> 00:41:27.900
Yeah. Yeah.

726
00:41:29.000 --> 00:41:34.059
But thank you for coming on up. And you know

727
00:41:34.099 --> 00:41:36.539
my email, so you can always reach out if you'd

728
00:41:36.579 --> 00:41:37.380
like to.

729
00:41:38.260 --> 00:41:39.469
Absolutely. I appreciate it.

730
00:41:40.840 --> 00:41:41.219
I don't know.

731
00:41:41.280 --> 00:41:44.690
As far as going back, I mean, thinking about it nowadays,

732
00:41:44.750 --> 00:41:48.230
I'm like, man, I don't want to sit here and

733
00:41:48.289 --> 00:41:50.090
say I still see it in my head every night.

734
00:41:50.250 --> 00:41:52.409
I don't. I mean, I have a normal life now.

735
00:41:52.829 --> 00:41:56.489
I have a job. I'm very successful with my normal life.

736
00:41:56.650 --> 00:41:59.139
I have a wife and I have kids. And I

737
00:41:59.780 --> 00:42:02.500
love teaching them about outdoors. I love teaching them about

738
00:42:02.599 --> 00:42:06.219
fishing and camping and everything of that matter. And with

739
00:42:06.280 --> 00:42:08.920
my daughter, she seems interested in it. With my son,

740
00:42:08.980 --> 00:42:10.820
who's still a newborn, I want to be able to

741
00:42:11.449 --> 00:42:14.650
show him, you know, the wilderness is a beautiful place

742
00:42:14.710 --> 00:42:17.690
and what we have left of it. Let's enjoy it

743
00:42:17.769 --> 00:42:19.710
while we can because you never know what's going to happen,

744
00:42:20.250 --> 00:42:22.429
you know, 20, 30 years from now, what happens to

745
00:42:22.449 --> 00:42:25.010
these parks. So I want to be able to show

746
00:42:25.070 --> 00:42:28.469
them the beauties of nature and what it has to

747
00:42:28.610 --> 00:42:31.949
offer away from the big city life or away from

748
00:42:32.010 --> 00:42:37.469
the cul-de-sac life. But as far as that specific place,

749
00:42:37.489 --> 00:42:41.989
it's just one of those like I have a hard

750
00:42:42.050 --> 00:42:44.429
time telling my wife about it. And I tell my

751
00:42:44.449 --> 00:42:46.929
wife everything. I still have a hard time telling her

752
00:42:47.010 --> 00:42:49.820
about it. And I don't even fully remember if I've

753
00:42:49.960 --> 00:42:52.539
told her the entire full story and we've been together

754
00:42:52.579 --> 00:42:53.559
almost eight years now.

755
00:42:54.090 --> 00:42:59.030
So, wow. I get it, but thank you. Thank you

756
00:42:59.070 --> 00:43:01.769
for sharing it here. I appreciate you doing that.

757
00:43:02.230 --> 00:43:04.969
Oh, you're welcome. I felt, I felt very comfortable sharing

758
00:43:05.030 --> 00:43:08.849
it with, uh, with this, this type of society, you know, that,

759
00:43:08.949 --> 00:43:12.610
that understands and gets it, you know? Absolutely.

760
00:43:12.889 --> 00:43:17.409
Absolutely. Well, man, um, I'm going to go ahead and

761
00:43:17.449 --> 00:43:19.829
let you go, but thanks for coming on up.

762
00:43:20.710 --> 00:43:21.909
Oh, you're very welcome. Thank you.

763
00:43:27.019 --> 00:43:31.380
All right. Thank you, Marlon. That was incredible. Incredible sighting

764
00:43:31.440 --> 00:43:36.500
down in the Canard, Texas area. Let's see here. We're

765
00:43:36.639 --> 00:43:44.570
going to bring Imagine It up on stage here. Hey there.

766
00:43:44.630 --> 00:43:45.510
This is Jeremiah.

767
00:43:45.550 --> 00:43:46.230
How's it going today?

768
00:43:46.980 --> 00:43:49.239
Oh, it's going really good. I'm glad I get an

769
00:43:49.280 --> 00:43:50.199
opportunity to share.

770
00:43:50.219 --> 00:43:52.280
Yeah, go right ahead.

771
00:43:53.219 --> 00:43:57.360
So this was in, I'm in Washington State, and this

772
00:43:57.530 --> 00:43:59.550
was up in the logging roads. A friend of mine

773
00:43:59.610 --> 00:44:03.429
worked for the forestry department, so we had the keys

774
00:44:03.469 --> 00:44:06.190
to the green gates, you know. up in the logging

775
00:44:06.269 --> 00:44:13.550
roads up on Larch Mountain here in Washington State. And

776
00:44:13.710 --> 00:44:17.150
we were up. Now, mind you, my four-wheel drive was

777
00:44:17.250 --> 00:44:21.199
a Toyota 4Runner, but it had a 16-inch lift kit

778
00:44:21.409 --> 00:44:24.000
and a 6-inch body lift just to give you a height.

779
00:44:24.940 --> 00:44:26.949
So I came around the corner. My boyfriend and I,

780
00:44:26.980 --> 00:44:29.219
we were just slowly because there was probably two feet

781
00:44:29.260 --> 00:44:32.710
of snow on the ground. and it's a logging road,

782
00:44:32.730 --> 00:44:34.730
so you got the cliff on one side, on the

783
00:44:34.769 --> 00:44:37.550
left side, and then just a little bit of a

784
00:44:38.030 --> 00:44:44.289
mound on the right-hand side, not real high, probably the

785
00:44:44.409 --> 00:44:48.530
full height of my truck. And as I came around

786
00:44:48.570 --> 00:44:54.369
the corner, it literally stepped up right onto the road,

787
00:44:55.250 --> 00:44:58.469
literally right in front of me, so it was probably

788
00:44:58.610 --> 00:45:02.579
my face to his face, was probably 10 feet.

789
00:45:02.599 --> 00:45:03.880
Oh, wow.

790
00:45:04.639 --> 00:45:08.460
And literally came to a stop. So it took, it

791
00:45:08.500 --> 00:45:11.039
took the first step up. I stopped cause I was

792
00:45:11.079 --> 00:45:13.920
going really slow anyway. And, you know, I just kind

793
00:45:13.940 --> 00:45:16.059
of came to a stop. It just kind of glanced

794
00:45:16.179 --> 00:45:21.230
at me, took one more step, um, to get to

795
00:45:21.289 --> 00:45:25.130
fully cross the road, which, um, my boyfriend was six,

796
00:45:25.190 --> 00:45:29.599
three and, And the stride was about three inches shorter

797
00:45:29.659 --> 00:45:33.420
than him. He laid down just because we stopped and

798
00:45:33.440 --> 00:45:39.000
got out afterwards. So it took the first step onto

799
00:45:39.039 --> 00:45:43.070
the road. Then the next step was on the other

800
00:45:43.119 --> 00:45:45.630
side of, you know, like right in front of the

801
00:45:45.690 --> 00:45:51.449
passenger seat. And then one more step up to the

802
00:45:51.510 --> 00:45:54.010
top of the little hill. And it probably took me

803
00:45:55.059 --> 00:45:58.219
four steps to go up at my boyfriend, probably three

804
00:45:58.280 --> 00:46:01.639
steps to go up that little hill. And then it

805
00:46:01.679 --> 00:46:07.610
was a big clearing. And, um, but it literally just

806
00:46:07.710 --> 00:46:12.070
glanced over at us and it was the most beautiful

807
00:46:12.550 --> 00:46:17.949
creature I have ever seen in my entire life. And

808
00:46:18.150 --> 00:46:23.179
it was massive. And I mean, I was literally eye

809
00:46:23.219 --> 00:46:30.130
to eye with it. And we stopped, we parked and

810
00:46:30.530 --> 00:46:33.059
we got out and we wanted to go see it,

811
00:46:33.210 --> 00:46:36.190
you know, because he didn't respond badly. You know, it

812
00:46:36.489 --> 00:46:37.650
was a it.

813
00:46:37.670 --> 00:46:39.360
Was so it was so peaceful.

814
00:46:39.739 --> 00:46:43.619
I don't I have no way to describe the peace

815
00:46:44.320 --> 00:46:48.639
that we both felt. It was like this instant calming. Like,

816
00:46:48.920 --> 00:46:52.619
you know, most people have kind of horror stories about theirs.

817
00:46:52.679 --> 00:46:58.289
But this was different. This was like. Oh, but the smell.

818
00:46:58.449 --> 00:47:02.519
Oh my gosh, the smell was so bad. But literally

819
00:47:02.760 --> 00:47:11.739
it was probably 400 pounds. And like I said, the

820
00:47:11.800 --> 00:47:16.489
stride was probably six feet from one step to the other.

821
00:47:17.050 --> 00:47:21.150
But then at the top, now mind you, there's probably

822
00:47:21.269 --> 00:47:25.349
a hundred foot clearing up there somewhere. Kind of a,

823
00:47:25.550 --> 00:47:28.099
you know, like where there's not tall trees, you know,

824
00:47:28.119 --> 00:47:30.159
because there's two or three feet of snow on the ground.

825
00:47:31.119 --> 00:47:35.179
And literally there were only two more footprints to the

826
00:47:35.260 --> 00:47:38.940
middle of this field and it was gone. And there

827
00:47:38.980 --> 00:47:40.480
was nowhere, there was nowhere.

828
00:47:40.280 --> 00:47:41.019
For it to go.

829
00:47:41.260 --> 00:47:44.860
You know, there's like, it would have had to step

830
00:47:44.940 --> 00:47:49.860
somewhere and it was just gone. Literally just gone. No

831
00:47:49.889 --> 00:47:53.460
more footsteps, no more. There wasn't trees that it could

832
00:47:53.500 --> 00:47:55.820
have gone into. There wasn't.

833
00:47:56.900 --> 00:47:57.219
Nothing.

834
00:47:57.239 --> 00:48:05.210
It was just gone. But the features on his face

835
00:48:05.309 --> 00:48:12.840
were so... It had really long, really dark hair, really

836
00:48:12.860 --> 00:48:18.800
dark brown hair. But like on his chest, like a

837
00:48:18.940 --> 00:48:21.860
lot of men, you know, like right above the breast

838
00:48:21.960 --> 00:48:25.659
is kind of– there's not a lot of hair. You know,

839
00:48:25.699 --> 00:48:28.070
like right on the breast and like right at the

840
00:48:28.170 --> 00:48:34.829
belly and like right on the– you know, underneath– what's

841
00:48:34.889 --> 00:48:36.909
the part of your arm I'm thinking of? You know,

842
00:48:36.949 --> 00:48:39.090
the top part of your arm like above your hands.

843
00:48:39.590 --> 00:48:39.860
Right.

844
00:48:40.320 --> 00:48:43.900
His hands were bare. Yeah, so, like, you know, the

845
00:48:43.940 --> 00:48:47.079
same places that a man's skin would be bare, it

846
00:48:48.139 --> 00:48:51.159
was like his were. You know, so, like, right above

847
00:48:51.179 --> 00:48:58.150
the breast, the brow was, like, really smooth. A really

848
00:48:58.269 --> 00:49:09.190
tall brow. Really pronounced cheekbones. Really dark eyes. I couldn't

849
00:49:09.230 --> 00:49:15.699
tell about the ears. The hair was down over his ears.

850
00:49:15.940 --> 00:49:20.639
His arms were extremely long, like almost down to his

851
00:49:20.739 --> 00:49:26.719
knees long. But just this really smooth gait, because literally

852
00:49:26.860 --> 00:49:30.679
it took, you know, three steps and it was, you know,

853
00:49:30.719 --> 00:49:34.349
the first step on. And I swear to God, it

854
00:49:34.409 --> 00:49:36.610
like calmed us to stop us, you know, so that

855
00:49:36.630 --> 00:49:39.400
we didn't hit him, you know, kind of thing. It

856
00:49:39.440 --> 00:49:43.539
was almost like he was just helping– because there was

857
00:49:43.579 --> 00:49:47.699
a giant cliff on the one side and kind of

858
00:49:47.719 --> 00:49:50.239
a– if you've ever been up on logging roads in

859
00:49:50.260 --> 00:49:53.360
the wintertime, you know how there's like a drain that

860
00:49:53.380 --> 00:49:56.820
goes along your– the non-cliff side, you'll have like a

861
00:49:56.889 --> 00:50:01.170
drain where water comes down. So it kind of dips

862
00:50:01.230 --> 00:50:04.590
down before it goes up. And so if we were

863
00:50:04.630 --> 00:50:07.389
to have panicked, you know, it could have either gone

864
00:50:07.710 --> 00:50:10.789
off the cliff or into the ditch, you know, into

865
00:50:10.809 --> 00:50:15.250
that little ditch. But literally it was one step onto

866
00:50:15.269 --> 00:50:18.190
the road. Then the next step, which was right about

867
00:50:18.230 --> 00:50:23.119
where my boyfriend was passenger wise. And then, and then

868
00:50:24.179 --> 00:50:30.460
one step, um, mid, you know, midway, um, kind of

869
00:50:30.539 --> 00:50:33.650
just above the ditch, um, one more above and then

870
00:50:33.730 --> 00:50:36.449
only two more footsteps and it was just gone it.

871
00:50:37.989 --> 00:50:40.780
Was just it was like where the hell did this

872
00:50:40.800 --> 00:50:46.639
thing go but it was it was the most beautiful

873
00:50:46.820 --> 00:50:50.550
larger than i would have ever expected it being you

874
00:50:51.769 --> 00:50:55.349
know because literally my my forerunner was you know but

875
00:50:56.480 --> 00:51:00.440
I was five seven and my, my door handle was

876
00:51:00.500 --> 00:51:03.099
right at my eyes to give you a height reference,

877
00:51:03.300 --> 00:51:05.340
you know, door handle of my truck.

878
00:51:06.199 --> 00:51:10.730
And so literally as I'm looking at it, I'm literally

879
00:51:10.750 --> 00:51:12.949
eye to eye with it. And it just kind of

880
00:51:13.090 --> 00:51:17.869
just glanced at us and then, and just didn't even

881
00:51:17.909 --> 00:51:22.780
really break stride and just kept going. The most beautiful

882
00:51:23.159 --> 00:51:23.739
creature ever.

883
00:51:24.869 --> 00:51:25.130
Ever.

884
00:51:25.409 --> 00:51:27.969
I mean, it, that could have gone really bad, you know,

885
00:51:29.090 --> 00:51:33.559
but it didn't, it didn't panic. We didn't panic. And

886
00:51:33.579 --> 00:51:38.239
it was just the most, we probably sat there for,

887
00:51:38.260 --> 00:51:42.340
I don't know, an hour, you know, looking around and

888
00:51:42.719 --> 00:51:45.619
like measuring it. Cause I could put two of my

889
00:51:45.699 --> 00:51:48.380
feet in and I, and I wear like a seven

890
00:51:48.420 --> 00:51:51.099
and a half. So I was able to put, Two

891
00:51:51.139 --> 00:51:55.079
of my feet in almost, almost get them width wise

892
00:51:55.460 --> 00:51:58.860
in its footprint in its foot track. So almost two

893
00:51:58.900 --> 00:52:02.469
of my shoes in the, in like the, the bigger

894
00:52:02.530 --> 00:52:06.269
part of your footprint. And then my boyfriend, he had

895
00:52:06.269 --> 00:52:09.309
13 and a half shoes and they were about three

896
00:52:09.429 --> 00:52:12.929
inches longer. So I don't know what size feet that

897
00:52:12.949 --> 00:52:15.909
would make it. We didn't have a measuring tape or anything,

898
00:52:16.010 --> 00:52:19.670
but I don't, I don't know how you measure foot size.

899
00:52:20.909 --> 00:52:23.369
But his shoes were 13 and a half, and we

900
00:52:23.469 --> 00:52:30.010
estimated it was about three inches longer than his 13

901
00:52:30.010 --> 00:52:31.869
and a half foot shoe.

902
00:52:31.889 --> 00:52:33.730
Wow.

903
00:52:34.190 --> 00:52:42.280
And the stride was literally less than a hand. So

904
00:52:42.340 --> 00:52:45.880
I was able to put just barely... my hand over

905
00:52:45.920 --> 00:52:48.480
the top of his head. Cause he laid down first.

906
00:52:48.519 --> 00:52:51.340
He tried jumping. My boyfriend tried jumping to see if

907
00:52:51.380 --> 00:52:54.739
he could match his stride, you know, cause he's six, three. And,

908
00:52:54.840 --> 00:52:56.789
you know, he thought, well, you know, see how wide

909
00:52:57.570 --> 00:53:01.010
this stride really was. And it was literally about three

910
00:53:01.170 --> 00:53:05.030
inches taller than he was, you know, longer than he

911
00:53:05.090 --> 00:53:05.769
was tall.

912
00:53:05.789 --> 00:53:07.949
He had to have easily 400 pounds.

913
00:53:07.969 --> 00:53:15.039
It was so muscular. You know, his upper body and

914
00:53:15.079 --> 00:53:16.699
his thighs and his.

915
00:53:18.119 --> 00:53:22.139
The calf, like behind the calf, there wasn't much hair.

916
00:53:22.260 --> 00:53:24.840
It was like kind of smooth. Like it was kind

917
00:53:24.900 --> 00:53:27.090
of smooth a little bit on the top of his

918
00:53:27.250 --> 00:53:31.670
thighs and like the top part of his arm and

919
00:53:31.750 --> 00:53:38.530
the underside of his hands were real smooth, real brown.

920
00:53:39.670 --> 00:53:40.289
You know, a real....

921
00:53:42.389 --> 00:53:46.389
Not like you see like gorillas are black you know

922
00:53:46.699 --> 00:53:53.840
this was a real brown eyes were almost almost the

923
00:53:53.860 --> 00:54:01.420
same color you know just a really dark brown very

924
00:54:01.559 --> 00:54:04.800
thick pupils I.

925
00:54:04.780 --> 00:54:06.659
Was actually going to ask about the eyes were there

926
00:54:06.780 --> 00:54:09.119
any whites to them at all or was it all.

927
00:54:09.039 --> 00:54:13.219
A no no white at all None at all. That

928
00:54:13.260 --> 00:54:18.699
was really, I found that really, and the pupils had

929
00:54:18.739 --> 00:54:25.389
to have been very large. The actual pupils, because there

930
00:54:25.409 --> 00:54:28.329
was only a little bit of color, you know, in

931
00:54:28.369 --> 00:54:31.909
that the rest of it was almost the exact same color.

932
00:54:31.929 --> 00:54:36.570
So his hair was a real, real black, like my

933
00:54:36.610 --> 00:54:39.269
hair is black, and his hair was probably the same

934
00:54:39.469 --> 00:54:45.889
color as mine. but his skin was a, was a, um,

935
00:54:50.050 --> 00:54:55.150
just a real deep Brown, you know, but really smooth.

936
00:54:55.269 --> 00:54:59.989
I was surprised at how, how little facial hair.

937
00:55:01.699 --> 00:55:02.139
There was.

938
00:55:04.440 --> 00:55:09.820
Um, and how, like how, how, um, how, how tall

939
00:55:09.880 --> 00:55:14.320
his brow was. It was actually really tall, but really

940
00:55:14.400 --> 00:55:19.510
pronounced cheekbones, but really looked like a man. But, you know,

941
00:55:19.550 --> 00:55:23.090
I mean, there's just it wasn't in any way, shape

942
00:55:23.150 --> 00:55:26.710
or form a man. But the build was so I mean,

943
00:55:27.389 --> 00:55:29.809
this was not a monkey. This was not an ape.

944
00:55:29.869 --> 00:55:33.070
This was not anything other than a Bigfoot, you know,

945
00:55:34.360 --> 00:55:39.090
for it to just disappear like it did. There was no,

946
00:55:39.690 --> 00:55:42.190
it could have gone, you know, it's a middle of

947
00:55:42.230 --> 00:55:45.809
a clearing and there was only two more steps after

948
00:55:45.849 --> 00:55:55.199
the top. So literally one, two, three, four, five footsteps total.

949
00:55:56.679 --> 00:56:00.719
And it was just gone. No flashing light.

950
00:56:00.920 --> 00:56:01.079
No.

951
00:56:02.119 --> 00:56:05.539
No, no, anything. It was just gone. No more footsteps.

952
00:56:05.619 --> 00:56:08.079
And there was, there was no, it had to have gone,

953
00:56:08.300 --> 00:56:11.139
you know, one of three directions. Cause one direction would

954
00:56:11.159 --> 00:56:14.019
have been coming right back at us. And the other

955
00:56:14.099 --> 00:56:22.010
three directions was probably, you know, 75 feet. You know, of, of, um,

956
00:56:22.469 --> 00:56:25.090
of snow, which I imagine there was underbrush, you know,

957
00:56:25.469 --> 00:56:27.989
underneath of it, but at two feet, it was pretty

958
00:56:28.769 --> 00:56:33.099
smooth looking and then trees. but the footsteps were just gone.

959
00:56:33.119 --> 00:56:38.610
It's like, where'd it go? But the smell, the smell

960
00:56:39.590 --> 00:56:43.750
was so bad. We actually smelled it first, which is

961
00:56:43.809 --> 00:56:45.889
kind of a good thing. Cause it had me. And

962
00:56:45.969 --> 00:56:48.610
when we were kind of going around a blind corner anyway,

963
00:56:48.690 --> 00:56:49.989
so it was, you know, it was kind of a

964
00:56:50.070 --> 00:56:58.469
really tight switchback turn, you know? So, um, So I

965
00:56:58.550 --> 00:57:02.019
didn't even see it before it stepped up. You know,

966
00:57:02.199 --> 00:57:04.840
the first thing I saw was that first step onto

967
00:57:04.900 --> 00:57:05.360
the road.

968
00:57:06.340 --> 00:57:07.039
Literally, I.

969
00:57:08.980 --> 00:57:13.320
Think it was less than five feet from my truck. So,

970
00:57:13.400 --> 00:57:15.929
I mean, it was just 10 feet from me, but

971
00:57:16.260 --> 00:57:20.730
five feet or so, you know, from the front of

972
00:57:20.809 --> 00:57:26.719
my actual truck. It was just, we were just, flabbergasted

973
00:57:26.840 --> 00:57:29.239
and you know i i used to spend a lot

974
00:57:29.300 --> 00:57:31.800
of time up there because that was my favorite pastime

975
00:57:31.840 --> 00:57:35.050
was going up there and you know four-wheeling up there

976
00:57:35.070 --> 00:57:38.789
in the mountains and just wandering around and getting lost

977
00:57:38.809 --> 00:57:40.730
because i usually like i would never be able to

978
00:57:40.769 --> 00:57:43.530
find it again i even tried several times but i

979
00:57:43.550 --> 00:57:48.469
always get lost yeah i have no directional beacon whatsoever

980
00:57:48.489 --> 00:57:53.250
but You know, it was just, it's a pretty short

981
00:57:53.349 --> 00:57:55.369
story and that's, you know, kind of really all there

982
00:57:55.409 --> 00:57:59.059
was to it. But it was just, for me, probably

983
00:57:59.099 --> 00:58:02.280
because there was no screeching, because we were in our vehicle,

984
00:58:02.300 --> 00:58:07.070
you know. And it just, I swear to God, it

985
00:58:07.280 --> 00:58:12.769
had to have put, did something to calm us. Because

986
00:58:12.809 --> 00:58:16.030
we were both, because we had been laughing and joking

987
00:58:16.130 --> 00:58:18.989
and And talking, and then we were just all of

988
00:58:19.030 --> 00:58:22.849
a sudden just silent and stopped and watching this thing.

989
00:58:22.869 --> 00:58:28.760
Oh, I know they can definitely affect humans and animals.

990
00:58:29.199 --> 00:58:33.340
That's for sure. Yeah.

991
00:58:34.239 --> 00:58:35.139
Wow.

992
00:58:35.360 --> 00:58:37.849
What a sighting, though, even though... You said it's a

993
00:58:38.269 --> 00:58:41.050
quick one. It's still a very, very cool one. And

994
00:58:41.110 --> 00:58:42.530
thank you for sharing that.

995
00:58:42.570 --> 00:58:45.670
Yeah, especially being so close. And broad daylight. It was

996
00:58:45.710 --> 00:58:49.969
probably 1 o'clock in the afternoon. Wow. You just couldn't

997
00:58:50.010 --> 00:58:51.349
have asked for a better.

998
00:58:51.369 --> 00:58:52.550
I just wish.

999
00:58:52.849 --> 00:58:56.030
Back in 96, we had the flip phones, but they

1000
00:58:56.070 --> 00:58:59.949
didn't have very good cameras. And it kind of happened

1001
00:59:00.010 --> 00:59:02.550
too fast, even though it wasn't moving fast.

1002
00:59:03.860 --> 00:59:04.159
Yeah, absolutely.

1003
00:59:04.199 --> 00:59:04.760
You know what I mean?

1004
00:59:05.590 --> 00:59:09.650
It was just like this slow, just a step and

1005
00:59:09.690 --> 00:59:13.420
then another. step and then another step and that you

1006
00:59:13.440 --> 00:59:19.030
know it was that that slow and graceful.

1007
00:59:20.429 --> 00:59:24.050
Very graceful i hear that a lot where it's it's

1008
00:59:24.130 --> 00:59:27.530
extremely graceful the way it moves yeah pretty cool to

1009
00:59:27.550 --> 00:59:29.820
think about but Yeah.

1010
00:59:30.139 --> 00:59:32.019
So thank you for letting me share. Cause that was

1011
00:59:32.119 --> 00:59:35.280
a really, like one of the, I would say it's

1012
00:59:35.570 --> 00:59:38.659
rated up there and some of my best experiences ever.

1013
00:59:38.679 --> 00:59:42.730
Oh, I'm sure it's for me, that'd be number one.

1014
00:59:43.429 --> 00:59:47.570
Oh yeah. It's every big foot hunters dream, you know,

1015
00:59:47.590 --> 00:59:50.789
is to get that close, you know, and to have

1016
00:59:50.869 --> 00:59:54.550
that of a perfect sighting where there is no doubt,

1017
00:59:54.630 --> 00:59:58.230
there is no question that, There is no, is it,

1018
00:59:58.360 --> 01:00:02.480
was it, could it have been because it was literally,

1019
01:00:02.500 --> 01:00:08.139
you know, right there, you know, just eye to eye.

1020
01:00:08.239 --> 01:00:10.980
And it literally looked over at us, you know, at Glant,

1021
01:00:11.119 --> 01:00:14.989
it literally turned its head, looked at us and then

1022
01:00:15.030 --> 01:00:17.309
just kind of turned its head and just kept on moving.

1023
01:00:17.329 --> 01:00:19.949
And then the fact that it disappeared, it's like, where

1024
01:00:19.969 --> 01:00:23.610
did it go? Wild stuff.

1025
01:00:24.019 --> 01:00:26.639
Well, thank you so much for sharing. I really appreciate it.

1026
01:00:26.980 --> 01:00:28.880
Thank you for letting me come up. Have a great one.
