The Fisherman and the Bigfoot.

0:00 All right, big for society. I've got the privilege of talking to John. He is a listener who reached out to me on Facebook, had some interesting things happened to him out in Pennsylvania. So he's going to go ahead and share that tonight. But it's a pleasure to have. You here, John, Hey, thanks for a pleasure to invite. Absolutely well, John, let's get right into it. Sounds sounds very interesting what you experienced out there in Pennsylvania. But definitely feel free to paint the picture about the area where we're looking at today and what you experience. All right, summertime, like like eighty eight eighty.

0:41 Yeah, it looks like around the eighty seven eighty eighth. It was right before I went in the Navy, so it would have been right before that to paint a picture of the landscape. It's like woods, small open grassy area, railroad track, my wide river on like that separates us with the Middletown with like. A island in the middle, Cold Hill Island. So I've been going, We've been camping there. I've been camping there since I probably middle schools, so I was under I was probably like.

1:21 Before I was able. I'll save you. Before I was sixteen, I used to ride my bikes down there, and so I've been that whole area that like my whole entire life. So one night I got off of work, like I normally do, I go down night fish iron wine, just like chill out, wake up the next morning, go bout my business. But that night, like normal, I had a fire going, I had Coleman gans landers going. I'm out there like fishing like I normally do. And all of a sudden, like the air stopped, like literally the air stood still, like there was no more bullfrogs, there was no crickets, there was nothing like there was almost like time stopped. And then I heard like north of me, there's a rocky area in a water where you can like probably abut knee deep and you can wait across that step on a bunch of rocks go on the other side, like duck hunt up that way.

2:24 So really nothing up there, like people wouldn't be up there. I like two or three o'clock at night. So then all of a sudden, you heard like this, like loud splashing, like something very huge. Was stomping through the water and probably. I'll say ten steps, and then it was nothing, and then you heard some rustling through the brush and I'm just standing there and I'm slowly realing in my my fishing line, and I'm just standing there and I'm trying to figure out what's going on. And next thing I know, like this seven nine foot tall, dark hairry figure pops up out of the thick brush.

3:12 Doesn't see me at first. He's standing there looking at the fire, just standing there, looking at the fire. I have gone, and it looks like it. Doesn't have a neck, but it turns at the waist, it looks back at me, stares at me for a couple of seconds, like trying to figure out what I am, looks back at the fire, looks back at me, does this like three or four times, and then just stares at the It's like more mesmerized by my fire than it is about me. And then the last time it looks at. Me, and then it just walks up like the part we drive down on, and walks all the way up there. It gets three quarters of the way up, turns around and looks to see if I if I'm still standing there or if I'm following it, and then looks like it kind of shrugs it shoulders and then just walks off into the distance, end of the blackness, and then like you can hear it go across the railroad tracks and then up into the up the woodsy hill behind us.

4:14 And then that was that. That was the end of that for that night. And then like two or three days later, like I'll be down there camping again, and you could feel like an uneasiness, like something was watching you, something like you could tell something was there, like you could always feel like eyes were on you. And then like. Shrug it off, just keep doing my thing, fishing whatever. I didn't go back there, go go to sleep, wake up the next morning, and there'd be like tracks or like impressions in the ground, like right around where I was fishing, or right around where I was sleeping. And then a couple of days after that went back down.

5:04 One night, it was a weekend, I was down over the weekend and probably nine ten o'clock I was like pretty boll beat and I was going to go to sleep. So my parents had their camp their camper down there, so I went in to lay down to the camper instead of sleeping in the back of my truck, and I this. Like Connor I don't. Want to say, like fear overcame me, but I could tell I wasn't wanted, like something in my mind, my little voice just saying, look, go home, don't stay. Don't go home, I mean, don't don't stay here. So I was like, nah, I shrugged it off. At first. I was like, guy, it's because it's dark.

5:45 I'm down here by myself. It gets creepy down here, down by the river at nighttime. And the more I was like, the more I tried to shrug it off, the more I like, the more I couldn't. And then I'm like, all right. So finally that probably lasted like. Forty five of me trying to convince myself like not to leave, and then I left. I locked up. I came out of the camper and I literally stood there and I didn't yell it. I said in a normal voice. I was like, give me a half hour to pack my stuff up, make sure everything's locked up, and. I'm gonna leave. You can do whatever you want to do, but just give me a half hour.

6:27 So I locked make sure my my parents' camper was locked up. I cleaned up some trash, I did whatever I had to do. I got my truck, drove up the railroad tracks. I locked the gate. Behind me, and I went home and my dad goes, hey, you're home early. Thought you were spending the night. I said, yeah, I got the funny feeling down there and I should like I shouldn't, like I wasn't wanted. And he laughed at first, and I was like, nah, I'm serious, like something wasn't right, and like my little voice was telling me to leave, and he goes, hang on a second, gets up, answered me the shotgun. He goes, we're going back down. And I'm like, I don't know about this, and he goes, no, we're going back down. So we get in this truck. We drive back down. We walked back down to like their camper. Everything was locked up.

7:20 That feeling, one of that feeling wasn't there when I got back down there. And then like we looked around, we couldn't see nothing. At this point in time is probably eleven thirty twelve o'clock at night shine the flashlight around, didn't see anything, just shrugged it off. Is just nighttime paranoia, and got back in this truck and we left. I didn't go back down. I'll say that was a Saturday. I didn't go back down till like Wednesday, and it's Wednesday night. After work. I went back down, was hanging out fishing like I normally was. I had the same fire going, had the same carosne gone, and like I heard what now it's called tree knocks. Back then in eighty eight, there was no name for it.

8:09 I just heard a bunch of. Wax like sound like somebody was taking a baseball back to a tree. And I was like, all right, whatever that is. And then there wasn't really like no screaming, no hollering, and none of that. It was just a couple of whacks, the air got still, pull frogs stopped doing whatever, like like everything stopped, like time stopped. I was like, nope, I'm done, got back on my truck when I left, and then like, I didn't go back down for a couple of more days. So after that, like I, like I said, I started announcing myself. So I would drive down. And I'd get out of my truck and I'd be like. Hey, I'm down here. I'm gonna do whatever I'm doing.

8:52 I'm not gonna bother you. Please don't bother me. I'll leave in the morning. Like I normally do, like if you want me to leave at any point in time, just make something said, like, just show me something and I'll leave, No if sands or butts, and everything was chilled, like I didn't ever get that creepy feeling again. There wasn't really like anything weird going on after that. It was kind of like I don't know if they understood English or like we kind of shared like some kind. Of like. Understanding. So fast forward, same area. Fast forward to like November ish, it's deer season. My nephews are hunting on the other side of railroad tracks up in the hill, and my nephew comes down and he's like, hey, is there anybody down here, And I'm like, no, it's just me.

9:48 He goes, well, somebody's up there throwing rocks at us. I'm like, it's November, man, nobody's throwing rocks at nobody. I'm like, what do you mean? Some like what do you mean? So he's telling me that they're standing like him and my. Other nephew were up there like they're hunting, and some guys just standing down there throwing rocks at him, baseball size rocks and trying to chase them away, and then they got so they got like they got mad, and they left and they came back down. To where to where I was down at the lot, which is i'll. Say eighth of a mile from where they were where they were hunting to where I was.

10:29 And so we went back up to where they were hunting, and. They showed me and like right around where their tree stand is and where. My other nephew was sitting under the. Tree, there's baseball and softball sized rocks just like laying there. And I tried picking one of them up and almost like threw my shoulder out trying to throw it up into the trees. Like they said, it was coming down like probably like ten ten. Twelve feet above their heads, and they're there's no way I can throw that high. And there's no way them kids were throwing anything that high. So I was like, I was like, you know what, just finish hunting, pack up all your stuff.

11:10 We're just gonna leave. We're not gonna bother nothing. And I just I didn't let them know what was going on. I was like, look at the property owner doesn't want us here. We'll respect his wishes and we'll leave. And they packed up all their stuff and then they left. And then probably about a week or two after that, they went back. They went back to the same spot hunting again, and this time my other nephew he got it. He got it. He got a. Small buck, and they went down found it field dressed, and when they were carrying it back up, they felt somebody was They could hear somebody walking. They couldn't see it, but they could hear somebody like pacing them as they were walking out of the woods.

11:54 Carrying his deer. And when they got like like forty to fifty steps to where they're going to clear the woods and go out to where their truck is, they heard like like a loud noise. They called it a loud noise. And then so they just like they booked it. They ran into the truck and then they jumped in the truck and they left and they never went back to. That area since. And then after that I went in like after that when I surely went into like close to Christmas times when I left for the navy. So that part is for the most part, that part's over with.

12:38 So in between those two times, there was a couple of friends that come down and after school they came down and they were like want to hang out, and so they were leaving and they said that a tall black man come running out of the woods at him while they were driving up the road, which I'll say they're going about. Like twenty five thirty miles an hour, and. It come running out of the woods at full speed and was right at the passenger side door and like just running as fast as it could, just staring in the window at him as they were driving up through and they turned around and come hauling back, flying back.

13:25 They were all like scared. I thought somebody was trying to like attack them and stuff. And I kind of like blew that situation off. I was like, nah, you guys are tired. You didn't really you saw a bird. You thought it was somebody come running out of the woods. Like what am I supposed to tell somebody like hey, like there's a big foot running around outside, Like Bigfoot's gonna like big Flip doesn't want us here. So like I was trying to like keep everything all low key because I didn't want to like create a panic with like with my parents, like other family members. That stuff that come down like you camping area and so also like. Weird stuff, like like a little weird stuff like that would go on and on a couple of times, and then.

14:12 Like it's like right like right before I left for the navy, like everything just stopped. Like like it was like, Okay, we're done, We're gonna move, We're not gonna be here no more. Everything went back to normal. There was nobody throwing rocks, there was nobody chasing cars. There was nothing like. Like like no sounds, nothing going on. Everything was like all like everything went back to normal. So I don't know if whatever it was there like migrated to a different location or decided that wherever like Goldsborough was no longer it's like home. But a couple of the other researchers that shared my story with they said around that same period of time, like further like I'll say, like eight miles away, there was also there was also accounts of like in the field, like there's a big farm area out that way.

15:13 There was like people. Would see like tall people coming and stealing their chickens, or dark figures standing off like in the woods, like like just inside the woodline watching them do something else like in their fields. There was a couple of people that were always just felt like they were being watched. And this was all around the same time period that I was having these encounters down by the river. And then, like this guy said, he goes just one day, it's just all stopped, like whatever. It was just moved on and everything just went back to normal.

15:53 And that's pretty much it for Goldsborough, Pennsylvania. Big for a society. Who would be right back after these messages? John, That's that's really interesting. Are you able to share who the researchers are that you reached out to. Yeah, he has a he has a called Strange Familiars. His name is Timothy. Yeah, Timothy Renner. Yeah that's awesome. Yeah, okay, yeah, he's like yeah, we're like, we're good friends.

16:37 Very cool. So definitely have a few questions for you. And that's that's such an interesting just a series of events over over a few years there. Did you did you happen to get a really good look at the creature? Like I said, it was dark. I couldn't see a features. You could tell it was black. It was hairy or a dark color. It could be dark brown, it could have been like almost I'm gonna say it was black, but it was black. Like I said, it had no neck. It was just I'll say it was eight foot probably about like four or five feet wide at the shoulders, pretty muscular.

17:20 And then like I said, it. Didn't turn its head like it had no neck. It would just swivel at the waist like it would literally pivot at the waist and look back and then pivot and look front, and then like it would like do like almost like a one to eighty like it would pivot like to the left, and then it would pivot to the right and look back and then just like pivot. But it wasn't like it didn't move its legs like its legs I'll say, were stayed shoulder feet apart, shoulder with apart, and it would just like pivot it the waist just strictly pivot it the waist, and you could see like like the muscle definition in its lower back, like like you could see like the big bald and its muscle. As it would pivot, you could see where like the like the muscle definition would roll up and that was about a little bit bigger than my forearm.

18:12 Were you able to get a feel for the shape of the head at all. It was roughly. I don't want to say basketball size, but it was. It was pretty big, not like not big like proportionate size for its body, but it was bigger than my head, gotcha, so Like so it was like it was like it was its shoulders were broader than its head. It was kind of like, you know how like little kids are like like they'll have like a big head and a little tiny body like when they're first growing up. It was kind of the opposite. It was like the body mask was bigger than its head, but its head. Was like at least twice the size of mind.

18:52 Okay, how how far across would you estimate the shoulders to be? I would say shoulder shoulder It was at least maybe four to five feet if I put if I would stand in the middle of it and I just strictly strand there was probably at least a good two feet on either side, Like from my shoulder to it's shoulder, it would be at least like two feet on either side. Sure, did you notice anything interesting or the ordinary about the arms at all? They were They were pretty well built, like the the bicep parts were pretty big.

19:33 It's arms were longer than like a. Human arm like they hung down like like differently. Its elbows were kind of a little bit longer, like I don't want to say they had knobby elbows, but the elbows were like i'll say defined, And then it had like semi smallest fore arms and then bigger hands. That's interesting. Were you able to see the hands at all? Were they all covered with hair or were there parts of you know that. I could see? Yeah, I could see the tops. I couldn't see the palms very well. I could see the tops, like the top part that like the top part before it starts.

20:16 The fingers were. Pretty hairy, and then like I'm assuming the fingers were black or they were dark. Might not have been had fur on. But they were maybe fleshish colored looking. I didn't see any fingernails. It sounds like you definitely were able to see the creature move around a bit. Did you notice anything weird about the gait of the creature or how it walked. It was kind of hunched over like like you like, you know, how like if you walk up a steep hill you got lean forward to keep your balance. It was kind of like that, but not like really lean.

20:58 Forward, but lean forward enough that it would have they like like balance itself out and it would take a pretty decent stride. But it wasn't like not like a normal it was a stump. It was more like it would make like you can eat, like a step, but it was like it was more like a stump. Like it had like big heavy shoes on, so it had weight in its feet and it was just like picking its leg up and it was like like. Plopping it down. Gotcha? And was it was it moving just straight ahead when it would walk or would it make any weird movements with its legs. No, it would walk straight. It would walk. It walked straight like a person. Okay, Like there was no like it wasn't bow legged. It didn't like it didn't what I'll call a toddler walk. It didn't walk like a.

21:46 Toddler where it was like like kind of on its sides of its on the sides of its feet. It was flat footed and it walked straight like a person. But like I said, it's like it walked like it was heavy heavy footed or heavy. Leg heavy legged that it had to like when it strided like pretty decent and then it. Would just like like when it would put its leg down it was just like thud, and then it would make it straw and it was like thud. You could definitely tell it was walking. There were a few times where you actually either talked out loud to the woods or the creature or to both.

22:28 Were there was there any time during this over the months where you feel like you got a response back in some way, either in your head or in a dream. No, No, there was nothing back. There was no like I didn't have any dreams. I didn't have any like, there wasn't any kind of like any any kind of like growling or anything like that. I was just pretty much I just went down and I was just trying to let myself like I was letting my presence know. I don't even know why. Honestly, I don't even know why I was trying to like trying to like I even tried figuring it. Out, like why if it didn't understand English? Why I like, like you talk to your dog.

23:11 You know your dog don't understand you, but you still talk to your dog like like it's. Another human being. I guess it's like it's how your brain rationalizes things. So I was just. Like, hey, I'm here, you do you I'm gonna do me if it's any point in time you don't want me here, like, just let me know. And like. There wasn't like no kind of auditory response, no kind of noise response. As far as I know, I could have just been talking to a tree and got the same reaction. Right, Was there any smell at all when at any point when you had close interaction. Smell like a wet dog? Okay, like a like a real guys, like a real wet dog. Sure, like I want their hunting.

24:00 I've shot some black bears. It didn't smell like a black bear. It didn't smell like any animal I ever came across in the woods. Like. It didn't smell like no deer, It didn't smell like no bear. It just smelled up and like it was like a wet dog. But times a thousand. Some people say it smells like they smell like rotten garbage or rotten this. I got. What I got out of it was wet dog, like wet, musty dog. Yeah, it makes makes total sense. You had said that you saw some tracks at one point, were you able to Yeah, do you remember how big the tracks were? Approximately?

24:41 Things like that? Let's see I wear a size ten shoe. It dwarfed my foot by at least four inches four or five inches the length wise with wise like if you go, if you like put your thumb in your pink out and you curl your knuckles in. If I your dad on the edge, it was probably like thumb and pinky to like half a thumb. And pinky to the other side, gotcha toes? Like no, but look, it looked like the only impressions that I could see, like definition out of the footprints that I could was a heel impression, like it landed on its heel first and then like.

25:30 The ball of it's like what would be the ball of your foot? But to wise, I didn't see any toes. But where we were at there it's grass or dirt, but new mud. Gotcha, why do you think your dad had you go back down to the area with the shotgun? Uh, down to the river. It's there's usually there's always some kind of like human interaction. He didn't know if there was some people down there that were trying to scare us out so they could scare me out, so they could break into the trail, break into the camper, or break into like whatever. We have down at like down in our campsite. It's my dad's career Army. It's just instinct to grab a weapon.

26:21 If you're going. To confront something at twelve o'clock at night, it's better safe than sorry. So I guess that's why we want to I wanted to go back. I think he just wanted to reassure himself that whatever happened, whatever was going on down there, if it was down there enough to scare me lay, then whatever it was was something that you don't want to contend with, like you don't want to take a butter. Knife to a gunfight. In fact, if you understand. My meaning, absolutely it makes perfect sense. Did did these interactions? Did they affect your future career in the Navy at all? No? No, it was almost like it was almost like it was just like everyday life.

27:11 Like like I said, I grew up in the woods, I grew up around wild animals. To me, it was just another day down the river. It was just another day around the wild animal. My dad used to tell me stories when they would go camping up upstate Pennsylvania, like I. Would be under the camp, I'd be. Like I was in diy person and I was a toddler, I was underneath our camper playing with wild bobcats, or like the one time I was like I wandered off and I was playing with a black bear. To me, it was just another normal day, like I was always. I was always brought up like there's like everybody says, there's nothing to be afraid of a nighttime that isn't.

27:54 Around during the day. Like once again, like there's nothing in the woods to be afraid of. That's not all that's not already out there. So me being a little kid growing up around wild animals and being a toddler playing with wild animals, to me, it was just another average wild animal that just happened to come along. So it didn't really like most some people say, oh I drastically changed my life, or like I'm like so terrified I can't go back out in the woods again. I had like neither feeling like it wasn't like it wasn't like I saw like a reincarnation of Jesus, or it wasn't like I seen an angel where I got some kind of spiritual connection.

28:37 Out of it. It wasn't like I felt like definitely terrified that I can no longer walk in the woods. I was just like like an average day. That's very very interesting. Quite the mental picture of playing with Bobcats too. I mean that that's pretty awesome. You're lucky that you didn't get me step. Those guys can get pretty wild. Yeah. I had a couple. Yeah, I had a. Couple of scratches here and there, but like other than that, so like I wasn't like like I guess like the one time when I was pulling, like I was underneath well my dad had my dad said he had me buy the ankles, and I had a hold of Bobcat's tail and I wanted to play with the kiddie, and like he.

29:21 Was trying to pull me out from under the camper. And I think that's when I got scratched because I was pulling on his tail. Oh man, yeah, absolutely, Well, John, thank you for sharing what you experienced there back in the late nineteen eighties. Helps put another mark on the map, and it may help some people listening to this perhaps they've experienced things in the same area. Are we able to say the town that this was in as well? Yeah, yeah, it was a way outside of Goldsborough, Pennsylvania. Now a couple of miles down the road. It's called Peach Bottom, Pennsylvania. They have a power plant down there. Everybody down around the power plant.

30:01 Has seen. Something similar to a bigfoot at least a few period of times. I heard stories like from people down around that area. Like I said, Timothy used to say that whole. Area for like the longest period of time was. Like there was at least three or four big foot sightings a month, for like a couple of months, like for a couple of years in a row, and then all of a sudden, it just stopped. It just like it all went away. Big for society. Who would be right back after these messages?

31:41 I'm doing good. You know, I'm really excited to hear what you have had going on. It sounds like it's maybe involved with the airbnb. But I'm going to let you go ahead and share the story and we'll see where this takes us. But thanks for being here, man, and go ahead, and floor is yours? All right? Yeah, pretty much, my family had an airbnb and that's called a Rigisland Chambers Reservoir. That's pretty much next to course of Kanada, Texas, and you know, we're we're planning on financial locations that's kind of like secluded by itself. Along pretty much did all the searching and pretty much really just you know, we're everybody was happy to go over there, you know, excited and stuff like that. The airbb did have like thirty acres of land, so that was like, you know, pretty pretty big, you know, by itself.

32:34 Once we was a week a week's worth being over there. Once we got. There, you know, everybody was happy to be there, stuff like that. And once we got settled in and stuff. Obviously we went there for fishing, mainly for the lake. The first night, nothing too crazy, really would on Google Maps, this looks pretty dry out there, but it's really really really green. A lot of rains that has been pushing through there lately. The I said, the first night was fine. Second night, my brother, my younger brother, have four brothers plus meet, which is five. He went out there about three o'clock in the morning. He's, you know, pretty crazy doing that by himself, but he took a kayak out there. He had live jacket and stuff like that, so he was safe.

33:16 I guess what it really started with him, really, he was telling me that, you know, here's I guess something walking down at the bottom of the towards the lake park. And you know, I asked him if it was like an armadillo, because they're like, you know, shuffling around at night, and he said, no, it wasn't armor. Diddlo. You can hear the you know shuffle, but you know, bigger, bigger thing. We didn't hear any hogs or anything like that, and I don't think they're really around that area, especially that close to the lake, but I could be wrong. From that point, he didn't tell anybody about that. So from there we know, why don't thinking nothing about it? And I'm always the one that you know, believes and stuff like that, big floops and UFOs and stuff like that, So so everybody knows I'm the one in the family that you know, just open mind about everything.

34:01 I'm saying. I'm thinking about maybe maybe that was Monday, Tuesday, Tuesday night to Wednesday night. I'm thinking it's around that air at that time. So two of my brothers went out and afternoon to go fish. You know, it's hot and Jexus obviously, so them two went out and worried at the house and then from there they came back. I'm gonna stay around nine thirty ten thirty around there at that time. And from there they were outside, my dad was barbecuing and stuff. So we're just you know, chill as pretty much. And from there, I guess when they were coming back in, that's when I heard from them, you know, the story from them that someone threw a rock in the water and there where we're at it's two creeks back there and it's really really wooded, and so they came up and one of them screamed. But you know, it kind of freaked everybody out because we heard somebody scream and they came up and they're like, someone threw a rock. And we're like, well, you know, here are look at me because you know, they probably wanted to mess with me. But I'm like, well, what do you mean a rock. He's like, yeah, like someone threw a rock out there and hit the water.

35:08 And I thought one. I was like, you know, maybe what a. Beaver and. They said no, there was no way. They didn't have any lights with them. They just have their phone lights, which you know, I don't know why they want to have flesh out with them. But. So we were always kind of asking a bunch of questions, and obviously I've heard podcasts about things like that, but you know, I was keeping my guard up with them because they're like playing around and we're sitting around the barky pit and they're like, no, for some something through a rock at us, and I was like, WHOA. I was like, I don't know, maybe Bigfoot and they're like, nah, there's no way, no way. But that's I guess that really started the second part of it. And by then I was already have my guard up. I was very kind of nervous a little bit because there's really really thick out there.

35:51 Say bye. By then, about Thursday, same thing, you know, everybody wakes up, you know, have a good time swimming pool and stuff like that. Throughout the day, everything was just fine. It came the third night of the Yeah, by the third night, I'm guessing fourth night, they go back out there again and they come back and they says, someone through you know, a smaller rock at them. And by then I'm like, all right, guys, you know quip playing around. They're like, no, we're for real, that's the one through a rock, a smaller one this time. And we're like, okay, well maybe Bigfoot, maybe not. I don't know. So that happened, nothing, nothing too serious. We're saying about the fourth night, that's when it kind of got really really crazy. By then, us three brothers went out went out to the lake. We fished pretty late.

36:37 It was actually around i'd see about ten thirty eleven o'clock coming back before we took off my other brother, which you know, it's all four of them. Basically, he went down there by then, it was probably like nine thirty ten. He thought we were down there towards the bottom of the lake with the boat and that point of the time we were out, you know, fishing, and I've heard from him he said that somebody, somebody threw. A big log in the water. And then he you know, by the time we come back, we're like, what are you talking about. He's like, I'm for real. He's like, somebody is really messing with us out here. And there's no there's no houses around. There's there's one to the side of us, but it's empty. I'm guessing there's just a lake house that nobody doesn't really hughes. So he was, you know, it's pretty scared.

37:22 I could see in his face and he was telling me, you know, he was serious about it. And so I was like, all right, this is really you know, getting kind of creepy out here at night. So everybody kind of had their guard up, but you know, playing around. I say about by the end, it about Friday, maybe a Saturday, we go out there again, you know, same time we come back, but that's time we had to excuse me. We had flash lights with us, and you know, we came back in same spot and we're you know, we're yelling out there, you know, cussing around and saying, well, we got flashlights, now throw something now, and you know, nothing happened. I was like, okay, then that kind of it. That's a you know, probably a beaver. Even though they swore up and down, it wasn't one.

38:04 So we came back up. My dad was cooking some burgers on the top deck of that airbnb and everybody was inside, you know, eating and you know, you know, chatting and stuff like that. And it was me, my mom and my dad and we're outside, you know, eating our burgers because you know, we had a lot of rain still pushing through. And my mom had her phone going and she had her music playing on her phone, nothing too loud or too crazy. And my mom kind of just like you know, joke late the lot to my dad and kind of tapped him on the shoulder and tell him to do the call, which you know, with us is like basically like a hand flut, you kind of cut your hands together and you kind of like, you know, blow into It sounds like almost like an hour pretty much. My dad's really good.

But we were sitting there and the you know, in the dark, you know, we like it pretty dark out there, and he went ahead and you know, put his hands together, and then he blew into his hands, and as soon as he did that, that's when, you know, everything went went really crazy. I mean, we're all sitting on chairs, and as soon as he did. That, that that howl blow like whistle whatever. He couldn't even put his hands down, and we got a response back. And then from that, I mean, we we automatically knew. We all looked at each other like, you know, like what, but my mom kind of freaked out. Yes, she got up and she was trying to turn down her phone on the you know, the volume on her phone. She couldn't even do that. And my dad kind of looked at me.

39:24 He was like, you know, like I can tell from his face like he was thinking like hard, trying to figure out what, you know, what we heard. And it wasn't too far, but it wasn't too close either, I'll say in my mind I'm probably like eighty yards, probably eighty five yards, but but yeah, that's I mean, that's like many of the really crazy thing from that. After that, I already knew for sure there was something going on. It just did it once. It kind of like best way I could say, it's like a howd and screech at the same time. But the weird part where it kind. Of threw me for a loop was that it's ordered with a high like a high house and screech at the same time, and then it lowered its its voice while still doing it. So in my mind, I'm I'm putting myself into where it was at and you can just tell from how it came from, like the gut and they came back out towards the end. And then from there I knew for a fact like there's no way anybody can you know, can be that loud and response, you know, that.

I was looking for some groups on Facebook, you know, seeing if anybody had any experiences out here we had. There were some people saying yeah about. The wildlife management area, which I didn't know it was a wildlife manage Maria next the lake, so and that stuff was pretty pretty thick back there. But that's really about it. Nothing really too crazy. We didn't see anything like that. We just you know, heard it the last night, the last two nights where we're there. We didn't want to mess around and start leaving food around for anything. That soul. That's that's very interesting. Thank you for sharing that. Can you explain how loud it was?

Mm, Like I said, I it's really hard to describe because if we're up higher, it was like a second floor and it's really really really thick out there, so it's like it has to be loud enough to you know, push through all the brush and then all the trees, but far enough to be, you know, not too crazily close to us. But it's really hard to describe it. Is it comparable to anything else that you've ever heard the volume of sound? Wise? No, there's no way really, as in it's louder or softer. M I say, I'm gonna say louder, okay.

It just like as soon as we heard it, my mind, my mind just went blank. Like it just like like I couldn't realize or I couldn't believe what i'd heard, you know, I mean, it's just weird. And we all looked at each other. I think, I mean, my hair stood up on my arms. And then, like I said, we're pretty high up on the balcony, but I know everybody when me and my mom and my dad. We all freaked out, you know, eyes got big out there. We're like, you know. And then my dad he was really really thinking about it. You can. I could just see him. He was looking down. He had a you know, bear in his hand. He was looking down, looking up. Looking down, and I'm like, well, what do you think now, And he's like, I don't know, he's I don't know, he's he pretty much said, I'll see that stuff on TV.

42:38 You know, they do that for reviews and all that. So yeah, but he's like, what about this one. He's like, well, that one, He's like, there was no way that was the person. I was like, well, I'm trying to tell you all, but you don't want to believe me. My mom wanted to hit and you know, told everybody inside and everybody comes all out and they all started hooping a hall and and stuff, and you know, everybody looks at me. They don't want to believe me. I was like, well me, and then I asked my dad and they're, you know, talking to my dad, and my dad was I tell them the truth and that they really did you hear something. At the time when it was just you guys outside and then your dad did the call and then you hear this howl, screech, scream. Were there any other sounds that were going on at the same time or what was it like outside?

43:20 No, that that was it just pretty calm out there. My dad said, there's some kind of birds that come out at night and they kind of chirped. They're pretty annoying. Actually they were almost every night, and then once that happened, they stopped. I think that happened Friday night and then Saturday Sunday that them birds never came. Back out that night. So by then we never we never went out there really messing around, so. Got it. So it sounded like was it the kind of quiet that's I don't know if you've ever heard this where it gets really quiet really quick and it's kind of an unnerving quiet or was it just you know, birds stop making noise and nothing. Yeah, not that kind of quiet.

44:03 Like I said, my mom was playing music on her phone, so the phone wasn't really too loud, but you know, it was. I guess you could say it was pretty quiet out there, But we didn't have any kind of like, you know, like eerie feelings or anything like that. But once we heard that, and then you know, we're all like, whoa gotcha? Are there any other sounds that you heard while you were there that really didn't make sense or were out of place or just kind of weird. No, that was really about it. And just the rock drawing, and we really couldn't figure that out why that was happening either. And then one of my brothers that were out there, he was trying to you know, he doesn't believe none of that stuff, so he's trying to figure out, you know, what really threw a rock out there? And I was like, well, there can't be nobody in that bush. There's no way. We took a walk, you know, down it's a pretty good walk just to get to the main entrance. Then you know, we're I was kind of sculping it out, saying make sure, you know, maybe because they could have been the neighbors out there messing around. But now you can tell that place hasn't been driven through, like the dirt road has grass growing over it.

44:58 And stuff like that, and you can just tell it just hasn't been messed with solutely. Kind of Yeah, they kind of you know, made it more suspicious, I guess, mm hmm. Definitely after you experienced you know, the weird rock throws and the weird sound, did you do any research to see if there had been other weird things reported in the area or talk to the airbnbs or anything like that. No, we didn't talk to the owners. I didn't look on you know, on wherever, at Google whatever. There was reports around the area, but they were like towards back, towards ten and stuff like that. But I'm pretty sure that you know, if youanby, we're hearing they're gonna keep a hush us.

45:39 So yeah, absolutely on the property, and you said there it was a pretty big property, right There was quite a few acres on it. Yeah, thirty acres gotcha. Did you pretty much stay around the house or did you actually go out and explore most of the property. Just stayed around the house at this script on the Airbnb soa that you know it was we thought it was really clear, you know, so we can you know, go out there and hike around a little bit. But it was pretty pretty bushy out there. We just stayed mainly towards like just the main entrance, which is like a dirt road back there, and that's really about it. And we walk down to the to the lake park. Vf any any weird broken trees or trees leaned against each other or anything out of the ordinary with the trees in the area.

46:27 No, it was really hard to tell because when we were coming up here or that way towards the lake, there's been a, like I said, a lot of storms and from the drive it was like a three and a half hour drive. You know, Texas is giant, so and there was trees all u from there that you know, coffee twisted up from I guess like Beth thunderstorms or maybe even tornadoes. I'm not sure. So it's really hard to tell what was what over there. Absolutely, it's a it's an interesting area. It's I'm looking at it on a map right now, and let's see. It looks like it's kind of southeast of Dallas. He's still maybe northeast to Waco and there, you know, there's some pretty sizeable I guess it is a while away from Davy Crockett in Sam Houston National Forest. But there is that little wildlife management area next to the rest.

47:14 Oh yeah, it looks yeah, it looks small and go and go, go maps, go work. But in reality, it's it's pretty lickid out there. Really, it's just a massive place. Oh yeah. And it was a bunch of like I said, a bunch of rain, so everything's been. It looked pretty swampy out there too, the truth. So if any want to hide, it's a good spot to hide at. Absolutely, when you when the different individuals heard the rock splash, did they were they able to see like where the rock came from, or even the rock in general as it was in the air, or when it splashed in the water, did they see that? They say, whenever it splashed or it hit the hit the water, they you know, they all looked and they could see the ripples and stuff. So it and then that you're I was trying to ask them to see if it was a beer, because you know, beer slapped the water, especially if someone gets too close to them.

48:05 And they said, no, you know it was a rock because you can hear the way. You know, there's a there's a sound that rocks make when they hits the water. It's like a big like a bump and noise. So that's what they heard. Yep, it's very interesting, and I bet there's going to be someone listening to this that is going to be able to say that they have also had weird stuff happen in that area. These are these are the kinds that I like because it leads to other stuff as well. I mean the way that this reservoir looks like it is absolutely massive, and yeah, there's there's probably other things that have been going on. Have you ever gone to any other areas like this or any other parks in Texas where you've had weird, weird stuff happen or is this just the one situation that you've ever had anything happen before it's.

48:59 Part of the only one we have anything happened. We went to Lake Lindison, which is like north of Houston. I guess you can say as close to the Sam Houston, Nash. I think it was that lake. I'm looking on them at right now. I've been to a couple of other lakes around there, but nothing really too crazy compared to this. When I hear so, yeah, it was. It was the first first for me, and you know, I believe in it, but you know, once we hear it, once I heard it, it's a whole different thing. So absolutely well, Saul. It's it's an interesting story and it does bring up some interesting questions about the area, and I'm glad you were able to come on real quick and to share what you experienced and definitely keep us posted if you ever come back to that area, and if you ever experienced any other similar things.
