Three Nights of Terror in Bigfoot Country!

It's from a retired military man, a lifelong hunter and outdoorsman who thought he knew every sound the woods could make, but deep in the ridges near Cloudy, Oklahoma, something changed that. So the three nights, one orb of light and slow heavy footsteps that crept through camp, stopping just outside his tent. No wind, no animals, just silence and something watching. This isn't a camp rumor, it's not passed down around a fire. It's a first hand account from someone who doesn't scare easy. And this is the story of Jerry in what he encountered in the Southeast Oklahoma wilds. So stay with us, all right, Bigfoot Society. I've got the privilege of talking to Jerry today. Jerry's an individual that reached out about some interesting things he experienced in Southeast Oklahoma. A few things about Jerry. He is retired from thirty years in the security field. He's also former military. He's an outdoorsman, and he also enjoys making custom knives. So Jerry, it's a privilege to have you on the show. Thank you for coming on the show to share what you experienced.

1:11 I'm going to go ahead and pass things over to you. And if there's anything else that you need to share, you know, about yourself or background, feel free to do that as well. But you can go ahead, Jerry. All right, Well, I guess the main main experience was I've got a buddy I worked with for ten plus years and he had let me back up just a little bit. He was starting to get into hunting, and I took him a few times and he got his first deer and whatnot. Anyway, a friend of his from another company, their family had a deer camp in southeastern Oklahoma.

1:57 And actually where that was is there's a Honobia or Hondoby, however you want to say it, Slash Three Rivers area that it's a big hunting area. I think it's actually logging land that the state leases from them for outdoorsmen. Pretty remote area, but they had a family hunting camp down there and have had for years. And so this buddy of his from the other company asked him if he wanted to come down to deer camp, and this would have probably been about he went a couple of times, so probably the twenty seventeen eighteen timeframe, and nothing remarkable as far as I know, happened there. But he had went off on his own on one of the trips there and found a spot that looked pretty promising, and then he talked to me, Hey, would you you want to go for the twenty twenty deer gun season. Found a good spot we can get down there in camp and I said sure, so we we main plans headed out there, and it's probably in southeastern Oklahoma. There's a town, if you want to call it, that called Cloudy. Not much there anymore, but it's on a highway that comes out of the eastern side of Ratan, Oklahoma, kind of

3:30 cuts across and if you stayed on it, you'd end up probably in the Broken Bow area. But so this is this location is right after Cloudy, you're going to turn into the Hanobi hunting area. And I think, if I'm not mistaken, it's like three hundred thousand acres of pine trees, hardwoods, that kind of thing. So we headed down there and the camp that he had found was on top of a ridge slash mountain here they call them mountains they're probably just ridges, but we were probably I don't know, three miles off the highway, and it wasn't much of a highway, so it's pretty remote. But we got off in there and the camp was actually on top of a ridge, so you had to follow the is all logging roads by the way, so you had to follow this logging road up and kind of circle around the ridge to get to the top and ended up being it's all pine trees and it was just a cleared area right at the very top in the middle of these pine trees. So that was camp.

4:44 And we had got there. The night we had got there was it was the friday before deer season opens, which is I guess since like November twentieth thereabouts. I don't know what it was on that year. We had uh, we had it. Uh. He got off work about noon and we headed down this about a three and a half hour drive, four hour drive, and so we got there with probably an hour before dark, enough time to set up camp, get something to eat, that kind of thing. And it was hot. It was like eighty degrees which is pretty warm even here for November. But we got everything set up and ended up we ate and both of us went to bed, and so sometime in the middle of the night, I'd woke up and it was it was like, really really quiet. There wasn't any air, and they're supposed to be a front coming in the next day, so I guess we were kind of in between it. But it was really quiet, and I heard what sounds to me is handed to me like and the whole floor was covered in pine needles, or the whole ground everything was pine needles. And so my tent was probably I don't know, fifteen yards off the edge

6:16 of the woods. And I woke up and I'm laying there and I hear just a slow crunch, and then about two seconds later another slow crunch. And this started on the south side of my tent in the woods there, maybe right at the edge, fifteen yards away or thereabouts. And my first thought was, well, I looked at it was two in the morning. I looked at my watch. My first thought was, maybe maybe it's a bear, maybe a mountain lion, because both of those are down there, or maybe we had seen there's wild horses they're loose out there. That interesting that the movie Kidalgo There released that horse, the real horse out there and they're all all part of that strain. But anyway, so I'm thinking to myself that what is this? And the more I listened to it, it was definitely on two feet, and so my next thought was, okay, is that it's somebody from another camp messing with us? But the nearest camp that we passed was at least a mile away, and we were on top of a ridge, so I couldn't see that being the case, you know, and I've always heard about the story. Southeastern Oklahoma is rich with stories

7:51 of Bigfoot and all kinds of stuff, So that came to mind. And I listened to this slow walk, you know, crunch crunch, from the south side all the way around the east side of my tent, and I'd sent you a couple of pictures. I don't know if you've seen those, but it came around about the time it got to the side that's I got a little panicked, you know, so I grabbed my flashlight. I had a nine milimeter land there, I'm sitting on my cot and I listened to this whatever it is walk around and in between mine and my buddy's tents, there's a picnic table with an awning over it and all our camp stuff's on it.

8:36 So I and this may have took five minutes or thereabouts, but I heard it walk all the way around, and then I heard it kind of going through the stuff on our table, you know. I heard the coffee pot dink and some stuff move, and I thought, I really want to know what this is, you know, And it's weird how thoughts start running through your mind. I'm sitting there with a nine millimeter in a flashlight and all I had to do is on zip the tent. But then I thought, you know, if I am zipped that tent as quiet as it is, all focus is going to be on me. And I wasn't sure I wanted that, you know. So I was having kind of a struggle on what to do. And in the middle of that, then I heard it start walking off to the north out of the camp and never got to look at it.

9:34 But that's all I can come up with. That's the I mean, I'm not a disbeliever, but I'm not one hundred percent of believer, you know. I'm kind of in the I need solid proof kind of deal. But so that was that was really I didn't sleep much the rest of the morning. The next morning, got up and my buddy got out of his tent and I related to him, and he's kind of a more of a logical kind of guy, you know, there's an explanation for everything, kind of deal. I related to him and he was like, wow, that's kind of weird. And so we went on with our day. I went hunting, he went his way, I went mine. And later on, just right before dark, I got back to camp and he is still out. So I thought, well, I'll get a fire going and maybe get started cooking something. And so I went about that, and in the meantime he had gotten dark, I had sat back in my recliner, my chair fulled out chair recliner deal, and I'm hearing kyotes, which were probably on the next ridge over because it's pretty it's kind of rugged out there, so I'm listening to those. And right about the time, now I got a back up, because that was the third night. I'll go ahead with that

11:06 and i'll tell you the second night what happened to Phil. But so that I got everything started, sat back in the deal listening to the coyotes. As soon as they quit to my west, back in the woods, probably down the ridgeways. I could hear something I'm not I wasn't sure what it was. It piqued my attention. I turned around so I could hear better, and it sounded like it sounded like gibberish, and there were two different tones. You could hear distinctly, two different tones, and I could, for the life of me, make out anything that was being said, but it sounded like gibberish. So I grabbed my flashlight, pointed it in that direction and it immediately stopped.

11:56 That kind of freaked me out a little bit. But back back to the second night. So the night after I originally had heard the footsteps, I'd went to bed early that night the second night because I didn't get much sleep the night before. And I guess Phil, my buddy, had in his tent he was reading. He was reading an audiobook, so he was staying it was probably I probably crashed out about eight or nine, so he guesses it was probably around moonish or I mean, mid nine ish, and he he heard what he describes as kind of a weir hum kind of thing, and he said it sounded sort of like what you'd imagine maybe electric bike or something along those lines. And so he ends up his tent looked out and we're where you can see through the trees about I don't know, fifty yards away the logging road that came up to our camp. And now he said he seen and he didn't say orb, but that's what it sounds like to me, like a ball of light softball maybe bigger, pretty high in the air, ten feet or so something like that, going down the road very slowly. And it went down and turned into

13:27 where we were, which is probably forty yards down the drive up to our camp. And said it it slowly came up the road, went through the camp and straight into the woods and kept going. And he was he was just kind of matter of factly about it, you know, like I said, I don't know. You could tell that it bothered him a little bit that something like that happened, and he didn't have an answer for it. But and then the third night was when I when I heard him in the back or heard whatever it was back there talking or mumbling or something. But that's that is pretty much the experience at that time. We went back to the same campground or camping spot in twenty twenty one, and it was basically pretty uneventful, except I had one of the mornings I decided to go around to the west.

14:33 The logging road kind of left out of our place, went about a half a mile, curved around to the left or to the west about a half a mile, and then there was a t in the road, and you can go right or left. I went left, and it kind of went up the ridge further, and when you got to the top there you could see an old logging road that went to the west, you know, like a gradually inclined probably down half a mile a quarter to a half a mile way down in there, and the same on the other side, which kind of put that the ridge we were on, and then there was another ridge to the west of that, so this kind of went down in between. And I was not thinking anything about what had happened the previous year, or Bigfoot any of that kind of stuff. So I decided, hey, there might be some deer down there. So I slowly worked my way down, and it was probably one hundred and fifty yards gradual incline all the way down to the bottom, and then it curved to the right, so I, you know, i'd take four or five steps to stop listening for a while and then move on and got to the bottom and made my turn, and the logan road had quit, and I thought, well, I could probably work my way around to the logan road that we came on that started up the hill when we first got there. And thing when we first got there that

16:03 in twenty twenty. As soon as you started up the road, the logging road kind of split off to the left and went into a valley. But it was really strange because you could stand there and look down in there, and it was dark in the middle of the day. It was dark, and it was so overgrown. So I thought maybe I could work my way over there and come out on that other logging road. And I got down in there, probably another fifty yards or so, and everything's fine. I'm just scanning for deer, you know, listening for anything, and the hair on the back of my neck. I've never had this happen. Stood straight up. I had just a it was a weird feeling. I had like a chill that went down my back, and it's like somebody flipped a switch and I was instantly in panic mode.

16:55 I don't know what happened. Has never happened to me before. It was just weird. And so I'm standing there looking around and decided, I'm I'm just I'm not going in there, you know, So uh turned around, made my way back out the whole time, you know, every five ten steps looking behind me. I don't. It was just weird. Never had that feeling before. But so that twenty twenty one, that's really that's really all that happened. But after after all of this, I started listening to podcasts like Yours and others, and reading stuff and you know, seeing some stuff on TV. Although some of that's kind of garbage, but and it made me think back of several different instances where there would be something not normal, happened, something strange, and it just dismissed it off as wow, that's kind of cool, that's weird, you know, and go on. But after listening to these podcasts and whatnot and kind of hearing other people's stories of how these things act, you know, I started thinking back of these different different experiences you know, I had with my wife, one with another hunting buddy, and it kind of makes sense, you know, some of

18:28 the some of the stuff like me and my wife had went to and this is probably two thousand and two right there, and it would have been in the late summer. I went down and while while I was working before I retired, that was my The whole southwestern part of the state was my area. So I'd been in and out of the Wichita Wildlife Management Area, which is it's a pretty rugged area in southwest Oklahoma. We like to hike down there. So we went down there off and on. Well, we decided this Saturday, that Saturday, to go down and check out one of the areas we hadn't been to yet, and it was called I think Post Oak Falls, which was in the Charin's Garden area if anybody's familiar with that. It's kind of the south west corner of the Wildlife Management area, but it is about three quarters to a mile back in there through the canyon and there're supposed to be a pretty nice little waterfall. So we parked in the parking area and started our walk up the trail there and there was birds, I mean bugs, the normal sounds that you hear, and we got pretty pretty good ways up in their

20:00 maybe three quarters of a mile, and you had the trail went down into the canyon, and so we got down to the bottom where the little creek was that came off of that waterfall and started walking back in there, and it was My wife said, did you hear that? And I said, I don't hear what. I don't hear anything. She goes, that's it, there's nothing, and it was it was like completely quiet everything like somebody flipped the switch shut off. So we kind of cut that short and decided, well, well we'll head back out. We got back up out of the canyon onto the the top there where the trail heads back to the car, and it was it was still. It was one of the one of the I've never experienced this, but it's one of the quiets.

20:54 This excruciatingly loud. I don't know if you know what I mean. You stand there and it's so quiet that it's it's like a buzzing in your ear and it's it's uh, it's crazy. But that was. That was very weird. And I've heard on some of these podcasts where, you know a lot of times people say that the force goes quiet, everything stops, you know. I don't know what happened there, but that was it was kind of a weird situation, just kind of it was one of those deals where wow, that's odd, it's kind of cool, and we went on our way never thought anything about it.

21:38 So and there's we we did. We did our anniversary and at a cabin in Broken Bow, which is it's real far southeast Oklahoma around Broken Bow Lake, there's a bunch of you can rent cabins and whatnot. So we had and this was again in November, and decided that we took our twenty twos and decided, well, we'd go back up find some woods and go squirrel hunting. So we left Hoochatown or Hochatown, which is a little community there right out right off Broken Bow Lake, and so we drove I think it's Highway two fifty nine, I'm not sure, but it goes out of a Broken Bow and heads up further into the get you go very much further and you're in the Quatchatah National Forest. But we had headed up there probably six or seven miles, and I was just looking for a logging road to turn off on, and there was one on the right, so we turned off on that and we probably made our way back in there a couple miles I'm guessing, and got out and kind of we walked around the woods a little bit and again it was that silence, like there was not a sound to be heard, and we heard, and this is about noon, we heard an

23:10 owl to our south that would have been our south, and about a minute later we heard an owl to the north, which struck me as weird because never in my life, and this may happen, but I've never heard owls in the middle of the day. It's usually dusk, early or usually overnight. But that kind of that kind of hit us as a little bit weird too. But it's weird you think back to all these different deals that happened after you, after you've had an experience, even a small one, and you start looking into it, and you can think back on different occasions where it's like, well, I don't know something. You know, something might have been happening there, I'm just not sure. But in the other other one I can think of. And this would have been about two thousand, another body from work. We me and my wife had bought in east central Oklahoma, right at the Arkansas line. We had purchased eighty acres from a gentleman. Him and his wife used to go out and hike and their knees had gotten bad and they just wanted to wanted to sell it, so we had purchased that and it was actually there's two mountain slash peaks wherever you want to call them, east of Poto, Oklahoma, one of them, and they're right on the Arkansas line.

24:40 One of them is called Poto Mountain and the other is Oklahoma Peak. Well, the eighty acres we bought was eighty acres right on top of Oklahoma Peak. And again that's all warehouser logging area. And we got it cheap because there was no there's no access other than the logging row. You really couldn't do anything with it. But we thought it'd be it would be cool to have, you know, just some some uh woods mountains something, you know, so we could we could go out and hike and camp or whatever we wanted to do. But me and my buddy had decided to go up there and stay a couple of nights deer hunting. And it was pretty much the same as farther southeast from Oklahoma. It was a lot of pine trees, a lot of hardwoods. But we had I got in and we could only get about maybe to the foothill of the mountain Oklahoma Peak, and then we had to get out and we both had backpacks. We hiked for about an hour and we got maybe halfway up and decided to it and set up camp and we just messed messed with getting to the top the next day, so we made camp, had went to bed, and I'm not I didn't look at my watch out. I'm not sure what time of night it was, but I heard something in the woods and it was like it wasn't something walking through the woods.

26:11 It was something breaking branches as it went through the woods. I thought it was a bear. My buddy in the other tent said, hey, did you hear that? And I said yeah. We both got out of the tents and we could hear this going from about the level we were all the way down the mountain, out of range where we couldn't hear it anymore, and that that really kind of freaked us out because we thought maybe we got a bear wandering around. So we ended up staying up around the campfire. It was kind of chilly that night anyhow. We stayed up all night long by the campfire, and the next morning we were both ragged from standing.

26:52 We just packed up and left. But again, that's another one of those instances that after looking back and hearing other people's stories and whatnot, it's like, well, what if you. Know, Jerry, what is it like experiencing that specifically? But when it's on property that you own. Well, I mean I was full, full, in full belief it was a bear. Now, I you know, I never heard a bear do that, because it's just like people describe, you know, of something taken off through the woods. They're not just running through the woods, they're crashing stuff all the way through. I'm not sure if I've heard a bear do that or even seen how TV a bear do that. So that brings up questions. But sadly, not long maybe six months after that, we ended up selling that property. I wish I wouldn't have to this day, but it was. I live in central Oklahoma, so it took us. The only way to actually get to it.

28:05 We went out to look at it when he wanted to sell it to us. So we left Poto and went up those logging roads out of Poto that went up I guess Poto Mountain and kind of went over. So me and my wife and my son we decided to head up there and I had GPS coordinates that he had given me. So we're pretty far back up in there on the logging roads and heard another view and we're in the middle of nowhere. Again, there's nothing out there, it's just woods Mountain logging road. Heard another vehicle and it ended up being a jeep and there's two guys in it. They pulled up and they said, well, what are y'all doing here? And we said, well, we bought some property. We're trying to locate it. He asked where it was at and I told him and he said, well, you're ways away from that. He goes, do you have a gun, which I thought was you know, we just meet these people in National we have a gun, you know.

29:02 I said, well, no, I got a knife. Don't have a gun. On mean. He goes, well, if I were you, and this is advice I've got turn of my life, don't come up in here without a pistol or a rifle. And I said, why is that and he said, well, there's things up in here that you don't want to run across. And that was where he left that, and he said, there approachers up here that are not going to be happy you found them. So whoa, whoa, yeah, exactly. So we turned around and headed back out, and so we were determined to find a different way to get to this property. And the way we found we had to go into on the north side of both of these menas into Arkansas, and there was a road that went south kind of right at the border, and after talking to the guy that sold it to us, he said there was a big green gate about three miles south of where you turn, and we found that and that ended up putting this directly east of that of that mountain where the property was, you know, by an hour and a half a mile. So that's how we got to but it took us like four hours to get there, and we were both this is when, you know, we were both had our careers and working pretty heavy and we just didn't have time and seeing no good reason to be paying for property that we've only been to, you know, a couple of times. So but yeah, it

30:36 was uh, it was supposed to be. Ran across the guy when we when we got there to look at it, and he his wife dropped him off on Friday and he hundred all weekend long in that area and his wife picked him up on Monday. I mean, this is a small town in Arkansas Flash, Oklahoma. So uh talk to him and he said, yeah, there's a there. I told him about the property. He said, yeah, there's a there's a hunting cabin right on top. Up there at the very top. He said, there's some big bowlders up there that's got like writing inscribed on them, maybe old Spanish or something, you know. So that was I was kind of I really wanted to see those, but as far away as it was, it just wasn't practical. So I wish we had Now that I'm retired, I wish I had it.

31:27 So so do you think that you owned that the area with the cabin and the rocks with the inscription, Yes, absolutely, Dennis, Wow, oh man, but it's so hard. I know, it was ridiculously hard because we we had backpacks on. I had a Suzu Amigo with big tires. You know. It got through those little logging roads pretty easy. And we could only get maybe less than a quarter of way up the side of it before the logging road ended, so it was pretty rough hiking to get halfway up. So it was it was back in there and like I said, it was completely surrounded by warehouser logging.

32:10 It was on an island by itself, but it was the top of the mountain, you know, where they couldn't log, so they didn't want nothing to do with that. But he that, that guy swore he said, yeah, there's a there's a little hunting cabin up there, and uh, he said, there's an area right before you get to the top. It's got these huge, like ten twelve foot tall, flat faced rocks. And he goes, there's there's stuff carved in or gouged into the side all around those things. And I've you know, since then, I've researched and whatnot in the Spanish and they've been all in that area. So there's there's no telling what it could have been.

32:50 Goodness. That's that is absolutely wild. And even more wild is the dude who's like, there's no questions that. Okay, all right, yeah, let me back up on that one. Yeah. So we got to the gate and I had a gun with me this time. Okay, you take the guy's advice. Had a gun with me, So me and my wife and the gate warehouse are kept at locked. But the guy bought the lantern. H mem said, they don't mind if you use the log and trails, you can drive around the gate. So we found where you can drive around. We pull off in there, and this guy with no shirt on comes walking out of the woods because there's like a kind of a field between the fence and where you start up the mountain and it gets wooded.

33:36 So he comes walking out of the woods, you know, and you know, my wife look at each other and I said, give me that pistol. You know. She gives me the pistol, and I got it cock sitting in my lap, and I thought, I don't know what's about to happen here. And so he comes walking up and he's just the friendliest dude you'd ever meet. You know, Hey, how y'all doing today? You know? I said, well, yeah, doing pretty good. We bought eighty acres on top of Oklahoma Peak, which I guess is this right here? And he goes, yep, that's it right there, And so he started telling us, you know, his wife drops him off on Friday and he hunts all through this through the mountain and everything and kills what he can kill, and his wife picks him up on Monday. So that was that.

34:21 That is that is wild, and it's like these are questions that can never be answered. But it's like, so the U and the guy was pretty much saying, there's stuff up here you don't wanna you don't wanna see, but there's also people that are shooting it. Well that yeah. The first time we went, we came from the pot from the Oklahoma side by Poto and went up those logging roads, which it's kind of both of the mountains are right next to each other, but it's just like a huge kind of dip or low spot between them, you know, and there's it's mountainous. It's just you know, mountainous all through there, and it's all heavily pine tree and hardwood, you know. So when you get in there, you're in there, and it goes up and down and around and over creeks and whatnot. But yeah, those two guys in the jeep pulled up and his exact words were, you don't want to be up in here without some kind of protection, you know, you need to get your gun or something. And I said, well, what's what's the story with that? And he goes, well, there's stuff out here that you don't want to run across.

35:37 And he goes, and there are approachers out here, because if you keep going, you'll find a little shack where they've hung up deer, you know, and cleaned them. He goes that they'll come off in here and poach deer, but that you know, you run across them. Them dudes, there's no guarantee what's going to happen. Okay, I got it. So yeah, yeah, yep, yep. It's kind of like you got two tofer and things to look out for, but not necessarily they're going after Okay, I got it. Right, right. He said, don't you need to goun or something up in here? Wow? And we took his We took his word for it. He said, I've lived here in my whole life. He goes, you don't want to be up here. That's wild. I'm it is a it's a crazy area.

36:20 I'm looking at it on a mapping program and it is very interesting. I mean, that mountain just goes up out of nowhere. Yeah, it's the the Oklahoma Peak and the Poteo Mountain right there on the edge of right on the border. If you look to the east from that, it's all Quadchton National Forest. I mean it just it goes on and on, you know, way into Arkansas. Oh yeah, absolutely, I mean the wash Tizer just are absolutely crazy. So Jerry, you have you've really experienced some some interesting stuff over the years down there. After you had these experiences and you were starting to look listen to things like podcasts and stuff, did you also start researching, like, okay about all the Bigfoot related things that have happened in that area down the southeast.

37:17 Oh yeah, okay, Oh yeah, I regularly checked BRFO. Yeah, but yeah, any stories like on your podcast or any of the other ones that are out there that mention Oklahoma. I mean, I'm going to listen to it just to see what other experiences people have had and if any of them are like mine or where mine were, or any of that kind of deal. You know, it's weird. Before any of this ever happened, it was like I wasn't a disbeliever because I mean they're finding like new species of stuff every day. You know, it's where look where humanity is right now, where we're building spaceships and cars and houses and all that stuff. You know, if there's been Bigfoot or whatever that's been around that long you know, they may not have evolved like we did, but they've got to be in tune with where they're living, you know what I mean. They've they've got to. Yeah, they've got to be pretty acute and pretty pretty pretty good at hiding or staying hidden.

38:24 Absolutely, It's it's very weird to think about that how our culture is right now, there's a whole you know, like, oh, let's let's start going to other planets, while meanwhile we don't even know all the creatures that live on our own because it's still being discovered, right. It's it's yeah, it's weird. I listen to the podcast and watch TV. You know, some some programs, like I said, some of them are garbage. You know, there's one on the other day that was talking about how vicious Bigfoot was and he's a killer and all that, And I'm like, come on, man, where's the proof if you got somebody that's been killed by big Bigfoot? I don't think so. But you know, it's just weird how people go off on different angles with it. But you know, I I think it's one hundred percent possible that there's stuff out there that it's just so good it staying away from us.

39:21 You know, it's just it's not even a question for me that that's possible. And as far as you know, some I've heard even on the podcast, like on You're showing others where people have talked about them actually possibly being interdimensional, which you know, I thought about that for a while and my first thought was, Okay, that's going a little far. But then you know, it's weird because interdimensional is just another for example, we have I've lived in this house thirty three years, me and my wife. I'm one hundred percent convinced I've got a spirit in this house guaranteed. So thinking about that, I'm thinking, well, you know, I have my own proof, so I guess it's possible. You know.

40:12 So when did that stuff start happening for you guys. Well, we had lived here, I don't know, probably ten years. This is the house we live in. We live in the town of well, should I say that, no, prob We live in a small town. And before this was actually a town, before it grew into a town. The lady we had me and my wife first got married, we lived next door, small town. Got to know her real well. She was Cherokee, Indian. Her husband had built this house one room at a time. She said, when they first moved here, there was nothing here, nothing that fields, trees, nothing, and so they built a one room house and then slowly built onto it. So it's been here quite a while, I mean a long time. And when she me and my wife had at the time lived and we moved to enid By the base, but we lived up there, and her daughter got ahold of us and said, look, mom, is she's going to come live with me because she's got some health problems. She wants you to have the house.

41:29 And I said, well, what do you mean she wants me to have. She just wants to sell it to you. And I said, well, I don't know. You know, we're just getting started. I don't know if I got courage. She goes, he didn't ask that. She just wants you to make payments on it. So that's when we moved in. So it's been here a long time. Like I said, before, most anything around here was so there may be some history there of some sort. I don't know. But we lived here about ten years and nothing, as far as I know, happened. But my me and my son were home. I was home for lunch. My son was home in summertime, so he was out of school. My wife was at work. So he's in his bedroom with his door closed, you know all kids that got their door closes on his computer, and I'm in the in the living room, and it smelt like somebody dumped over a bottle of perfume. I mean right in front of me. It was that strong.

42:22 My eyes started water and my nose was burning. It was like holy cow. And my first thought was Zach and my son had broke one of his Colone bottles somehow, And I asked him to think that's strong enough, and he goes, what are you talking about? I smell it too, So I opened his door, and I mean the whole house smelt like it, and I got had a lab that got into everything, So I thought, well, maybe he had got in our bedroom dad into something. So I walked back there, walked into the room, didn't smell anything. And when I came back to the liver room and the smell was completely gone, like it never happened, I mean gone from the house. You couldn't even smell it anywhere, and it was so strong it made your eyes water.

43:06 That was the very first time that we had any kind of a you know, anything that made you think huh so right again, I was sitting in the recliner by the by the front door. I got a table next to me on the right with the lamp and whatnot. My lab is laying by the front door, and his only act explaining it's like somebody put their hand under you know, it's an open, open table. In other words, just got the top and then the legs, no, nothing underneath it. And it was like somebody put their hand under there and just hit the bottom of the table. I mean everything that's flying off the table, the lamp hit the floor. My dog I looked over when that happened, and he had just had enough time to raise his head and go oh crap, and he took off headed to the back of the house. Again. That was weird.

43:59 So about then I'm thinking, okay, there's there might be something happening here. And over the years, probably four or five times you'll walk through the house and just randomly catch that perfume smell. I mean it's just there and then it's gone. It might be there a couple of minutes, might be there thirty seconds, but it's just it's weird. It's weird. I think the last time anything happened was probably four or five years ago. We have a room that we had had gutted that we were remodeling, and so we kept it, kept the door closed so the dogs wouldn't get in there, and actually we kept it latched.

44:45 And I at the time, I had a lab and then we had a little little lap dog. So come home from work and I'm home for my wife gets home every day. So I got got home, come in the doors wide open. I'm like, in the world, app I must have forgot to latch it. So I closed it. Three days in a row, I'd come home and that door was wide open after I made absolutely sure it was locked and latched. So then I decided, Okay, I'm going to find out what's happening. And I had one of those little digital recorders, and I sent the dogs out back, and I turned all the ceiling fans off, turned everything off, and went in the dining room where that door was, and started asking questions, you know, because I thought, well, maybe it's the lady that used to live here, or maybe her husband, because he built this all by hand. I thought, well, maybe they're just still here and maybe not happy with something. I don't know.

45:40 So I started asking questions and I got I said, is is this mister so and so nothing? You know, is this missus so and so nothing? And I said, are you the one that keeps opening this door? And clearly on the recorder it said no, I heard that I walked out in the front yard. That kind of really freaked me out a little bit. I called my wife and told her what happened, and that pretty much put a lid on it. So there's something here, something, something's here. We don't think about much anymore. I mean, we'll have I did have a set of keys that i'd come home to my truck. Bought a brand new truck.

46:26 It comes with two sets of keys. So I had a set of keys and I come in. I always set my keys on the table next to the chair, so I did that, and hour or two later I went to leave. The keys are gone. I multiple times over the years have looked for those keys and furniture and everywhere you could possibly think. I've scoured the yard everywhere. They're just gone. But really I don't feel I could see anything bad. You know, We'll be sitting sitting on the TV and in the back of the house we'll hear a door close and there's no wind door or the windows are closed. Just odd things happen, but it's gotten to be almost a running joke now, you know.

47:12 We'll hear something and go, well, it must be the ghost, right, yeah. Oh man, that's why. And that happened before the bigfoot stuff. Yeah, this is this is way before and it's kind of been ongoing. I think the door the door stuff coming open was after, but it's been stretched you know, over over twenty five years, so it's been stretched out. You know, every couple two or three years, something will get weird, something will happen, and you're like, I don't know about that. Like I said that, the most recent one was probably about four or five years ago, and that was the door opening and closing or opening, and then I'd come home and close it and latch it and be open the next day. So hadn't been anything since then. But because of all that, I'm pretty well convinced that there's something. You know, there are spirits of some sort, right, so it's not completely out of the question, I guess for maybe bigfoots or sasquatch or whatever to be interdimensional. I mean, you never know.

48:21 Now, I mean there's there's so many, you know, questions in this realm. I talk to people a lot, and you know, after they have a you know, bigfoot interaction, sometimes they'll get home and and stuff will start to kick off and they'll you know, see reports like shadow people or stuff moving around the room, or start hearing things, very very weird stuff. That jog my mind a little bit. That little dog that we had, it was just a yorkipoo or some little lap dog as my wife's dog. I had a lab, so I didn't pay much attention, but that dog would we'd been living and watching TV or reading whatever we're doing.

49:05 That dog would get up in one of our laps and stare at the particular corner of the house and bark. He'd focus on that corner like he's focusing on a snack. It's weird. Again. We just attributed that to the to the ghosts. But he was seeing something or thought he was seeing something. I'm not sure, but yeah, ever since, ever since the deal, when we were camping and I didn't really give two thoughts about it, you know, unless I I didn't. I didn't dig for information. In other words, it was just you know, and then once you start looking into it, stuff starts making a whole lot more sense.

49:51 There can't be possibly this many people that are liars. They just can't. Yeah, they're just I think about all the time. I'm actually it's like that. There's no way. Yeah, it's just too. I mean, you got you got people that are pillars of society that are you know, they'll stake their life on the fact that whatever happened happened. You know. It's just it's just a it's a weird situation. But yeah, now now I go hunting in the woods or uh we me and my wife go out, you know, anywhere out in the woods or hunting or hiking or any of that kind of stuff. It's weird. How now you know, my ears are I'm listening for everything. I'm scanning for everything.

50:36 I'm listening for anything, like the sound to quit. You know, It's just it just opens you up and you start you're on a different level. Absolutely, I mean it does. It changes how you perceive the world, for sure. I do have a few questions about the actual three day camping trip. Yep, that you shared about. I'm looking at the pictures that you had sent and did it did it do anything? You had a shovel in a rake in the pictures? Did it messed with those at all either? You know, I'm not sure. I don't know if I even paid attention to those. But you see where the picnic table is. It's and I can't believe. I woke up the next morning and I said, did you not hear anything last night? And he said, no, I slept all last night because you see how it close that picnic table is to his tent, the green tent. I'm thinking, how did you not hear that? Because it was so calm and quiet that whatever whatever walked around and came up there. It was like they were It's like you had a you know in camping, camping stuff. You know, you got a middle coffee pot, you got a metal plates.

51:56 A lot of times you got you know, and it was like it was moving. It was moving stuff on the table and stuff were clinking together, and you could just hear stuff moving. You know, It's like crap. I don't know how did you I don't know how you didn't hear that? And you know, there was no I did think to look to see if there's any footprints, but again, it was all pine needles. There's no foot It was all hard, hard ground and pine needles. So I didn't see anything anywhere. And you know, it's weird that that that night we got there and we were so tired getting the sentence up. I usually have trail camps everywhere I go. I had, I had a bag full of them. Didn't put anything out that night. Ever since that first night, they're up. The first thing we get there, I'm pulling in, I'm putting cameras up. So I don't know. There was somebody on one of the podcasts that said they they think they could possibly tell when there's a train okam out there or since the infrared light or something. I don't know. Yeah, but I just find it weird that, you know, I didn't put cameras up, and that's you know, and it's and the other thing that's weird is the second night I put cameras up and this thing that my partner saw was like ten foot off the ground, which the trail cam is not going to catch. It didn't catch any of that because it's facing the camp into the logging road

53:28 would have been behind it, and if it came into camp, it was going to be higher than what that's seeing. I just find it weird how that works. Yeah, that's really interesting. It's almost like, all right, they got game cams up, so time to get into like orb mode or something. Who knows, like. I have gotten. I have gotten on a couple occasions, some very very strange trail cam I've got that. I've kept those as a matter of fact, this year was one of them. I'm hunting all about fifteen miles east to where I live, which you start getting out into you know you're in the country by the time you get that far out. And I got a one of the deacons of my church has got property and he lets me hunt out there. So got the cameras and the feeder and all that stuff, set out and going through and this I couldn't tell you. It might have been the end of October, but going through the pictures, and this was taken sometime in the middle of the night.

54:30 I don't remember exactly what time, but there's deer at the feeder looking up and there are two lights, balls of light or lights up in the air and looking at daylight pictures to compare. They look like they're maybe fifty foot up in the air and the deer actually looking up at them. And for the life of me, I can't figure out what that could even possibly be. But stranger than that east of town here on my uncle's property on a creek. I had to try to stand set up and had cameras out there and had if you progress to the pictures at about ten o'clock, and I had deer all the way up at the feed us till about ten. Then the deer were gone, and then from ten o'clock through about two in the morning there's some of the strangest stuff you'll ever see in your life. The deer's gone, and then right after that quits the deer back. But there it's like it's very hard to explain. It's like there's almost almost it's all light light play. There's like a you know, like a streak of light and then one little like a streak up, down and across, and in those streaks that'd be the profile of a face. It's weird. I'm telling you, it's weird. I've got those pictures. But that went on for like almost four hours and then it quit in the in the deer came back and I showed him

56:03 to my uncle, who's an extreme with godfaring man, and he had no words. He had no words for it. He looked at him and he's like, I just done. Really don't know what that is. So that's very very strange stuff. Did you guys have any any. Oh, and that happened probably five years ago. Gotcha on your vehicles that you had at that campsite? Did you have any like can prints or for things? The next day that you notice. We both looked and neither one of us noticed any which is it's kind of hard to believe because on that picture you see my tent in the back, the kind of white woman. The picnic table then feels you see the back of Phil's car or truck, great truck.

56:49 Mine's probably parked not more than four feet away from his parallel with it. So whatever wherever left there had to have it. They went straight out, so they had to walk between them to leave. But obviously evidently they didn't touch anything. I didn't check anything on the table to see if there were fingerprints or anything. I mean, you know, and here's another weird deal. Is so the next morning after that happened before we headed out to hunt. My body's friend that he was camping with at the deer camp down and they were camped probably a couple of miles away down in the in the lower area by the river. He had come up to see what we were up to. And Phil, my buddy, said, tell him the story. Tell him that what happened, what you said happened. So I told him, and he wasn't surprised in the least. He said, we've we've camped here for years.

57:50 Pretty much everybody in camp has had an experience. And then he said, last year one of the guys had loaded up two or because they they had a big camp, you know, like ten fifteen people at a time. So he loaded up two or three guys and two three hours for dark. You know, he'd go drop them off where they wanted to be dropped off, and then he'd come back and pick them up when it got dark. And they were coming back to pick up the second guy and he was running down there's a clear cut where the power lines are. He was running down that to get to the truck and said that he had got halfway up there and there was a big bowler in the middle there, and something stood up behind it, and I guess scared the you know what out of him, and so he turned and headed down the hill. And that was that was recent to mine my deal. But he said, Dave, as long as they have camp there, pretty much everybody that comes to that camp has seen something.

58:48 So and they're from the most of them are from the general area. It's like nobody out there surprised. Nobody that lives in that area is surprised. If you tell them any thing like that. Wow, that is man. After knowing that, I mean, it puts even even more onto the story that is that is awesome. Did were there any weird smells around the camp site that you know? I did notice that. I thought of that when I was hearing this footsteps, because when I went through my progression, you know, it's not it's not a bear. It's not it's not on four feet, so it's not a horse that's got to be on two feet. And then my thought went to sasquatch bigfoot, and I thought, but I don't smell anything. I didn't smell anything, Okay, and that's what I'm thinking, Okay, is that what I really think?

59:39 It is. I don't know, but there's no other explanation. And whatever it was was intentionally sneaking, yeah, because the footprints were like you could hear it like hit on his heel and just slowly crunch forward and stop, and then like two seconds later you hear the same thing. And it did that all the way around me. You know, like I said, it may have taken five minutes for it to get from the tree line behind me to the picnic table. Did you did you wake up any morning and notice anything weird that was out of place in the camp that wasn't there the day before.

1:00:20 You know, I don't know what we noticed anything like that. The gibberish thing was kind of weird though, Like I said, I was cooking. I was cooking, you know, getting some stuff together to throwing the fire, and I started the fire and was sitting sitting in my chair and was waiting on the fire to to you know, put some coals out so I could start cooking. And it was a fairly quiet night, you know, you heard bugs and stuff, and then like I said, you hear the coyotes bust out, and they had to be a mile or more away. They were over on the other ridge, and they went on for I don't know, twenty seconds or so, and just immediately as soon as they quit, Like I said, I started hearing it sounded like a conversation, but when I started listening real close, it made no sense. It was all just kind of like baby talk, and he could I could tell listening, and I was trying to make out what it was saying. But at the same time I noticed there was two different One was kind of high and one was lower. I mean, they were both low, but one was higher than the other, so there was two of whatever it was. I grabbed my flashlight swung it over there. As soon as it hit the woods, it stopped and that was nothing after that.

1:01:45 Have you heard anything that sounds similar to what you were hearing that night? Oh? Absolutely, Well, on on, There's been a few shows where they've talked, you know, kind of simulated what somebody heard, and that's it was close to that. You know. It's just it's weird. It's like, you know, when people get far away from it, it sounds like gibberish. But at the same time, I'm thinking, Okay, to my west, that's down in the that's down between the two ridges. There's nobody down there. Oh and there was I keep thinking this stuff. Okay, the second year we went in twenty twenty one, right when I said, not much happened, I'd walked down in that one area back behind where we camped and got a weird feeling. But in that same area, like second from the last night, and this was in the middle of the night. Again, I don't know what time, but it was in the middle of the night. Woke me and my partner both up. It was like World War three going off down in that ravine valley whatever you want to call it. It sounded like two or three guns and they were just going off. I mean it sounded like war like ba bang bang bang bang bang, and then it just quit. And have no idea what that was. Didn't see anybody coming or going.

1:03:09 It's very very strange. Yes, very strange. Did you So you mentioned that you had sensations of like your hair standing up. Were there any other things that happened that would be like unexplained physical like things happening to anyone in the group. You know, my buddy that I hunted with, like I said, he was more of a a logical thinker, I guess you'd say he didn't. He was showing me the proof kind of guy if I got proof, and it's something else, you know, So he never really mentioned anything it's weird to him other than that that light. And that's the only time. I mean, I've been in the woods most of my life, hunting, fishing, from the time I could walk.

1:04:05 I walked carry a baby gun with my dad hunt, you know, when I could barely walk. So I've been hunting a long time, been out in the woods a lot, and I've never just like I said, the weird part about it is, I'm just walking along hunting, you know, just checking the woods, looking around, trying to spot a deer, or listening to one crunch in the woods, and I stopped, and it's just like somebody flipped a switch, you know. I got that weird chill down. My spine felt like my hair was standing on end, and I was suddenly ridiculously scared, I mean, just like that, and it's, uh, that's all I can That's the only way I can explain.

1:04:50 It was just I've never ever had anything like that happen, and that was enough to make me uncomfortable enough to turn around and leave the area. Yeah, I mean I've heard other people talk some you know, some things similar to that. You know, you can kind of sense something, but I wasn't looking. That was the last thing on my mind. I wasn't looking to sense anything except find a deer. Absolutely. Is this a place where you continue to go to this camp or deer season or not anymore?

1:05:31 Well, I haven't what I've my my buddy's been back down there a couple of times, and this, like I said, this is about this is twenty twenty twenty twenty twenty one was the last time I went down there. He went a couple of years after that, and then last year is when I started hunting at my deacons property east to me. So no, I have since twenty twenty one, I haven't been back. I'm I'm not scared to go back. I go back, I mean, like I said, I'm just I would be more focused in paying attention to what's going on around me than I was before. That could be about the only thing that would change, because I'm not.

1:06:17 I haven't. I haven't actually seen one. I don't know what that would do to a person. I just can't say what to do to me? If I actually seen one, I know, I'd put a rubber stamp on it and say yep. But uh, it's not really changing the way I feel about the woods. I'm not scared to go out in the woods. I'd go, like I said, I'm just going to be more aware. Yeah, absolutely, I think that's one of the you know, I think a lot of people have that. You know, how would I react if I actually had a visual setting, you know? Well, I mean when I when I when I was in my tent, you know, and had my gun in one hand and my flashlight in the other, and I'm thinking, all I got to do is I'm zip this real quick and I can see what this is, you know.

1:07:08 But as soon as I thought that, I'm thinking, okay, you know, now the light's on me. If that is a bigfoot, he's looking straight at me fifteen feet away. You know, do I want that? I'm not sure I want that. And you know, it's the things that go through your mind at that point. I'm thinking, I really really really want to know. But you know what if I have to shoot, well, I can't shoot the buddy's tents right on the other side there, both vehicles are right there next to that. If I end up shooting, I'm shooting everything, you know what I mean, it's all right there, So I don't know if I want to shoot. All this stuff's running through my mind. Well I'm trying to sort this out. It walks off, so I have no idea how I would. Actually, I think it would be much easier. You were in the woods walking along, looked up and there he was, just you know, because it just did. It just happens, and there he is, and you've seen him or had an experience seeing him.

1:08:12 Other than there was too much of a build up for me, you know, hearing whatever it was, walk through there, hearing it and knowing something's out there and having all this, having time to all this to run through my mind. I think it's just been much easier just to turn a corner and there he is. You know. Yeah, I'm hoping, uh, I hope maybe this year that the next year, just to be you know, be able to have a sighting somewhere and get that out of the way focus on. I would love to. I would I would love to actually see it because then that answers a whole lot of questions. I don't care what anybody else would say.

1:08:56 You know, it's kind of funny because I got home from from the the deer camp and told my wife, you know, explained to her the whole situation what happened, and she was like, yeah, maybe what'll happen next year, you know, she was just kind of matter of factly, it doesn't it doesn't affect her one way or the other, you know. And I told my son and he listened, you know, and he got a good truckle out of it. And I'm thinking, oh, you know, and I think I've told one other person. I thought, you know, I'm just going to keep that as my experience, you know. I'm just you know, and I'd like I was watching these podcasts, I seen her as your scenes are more more credible than anybody. So congrats on that.

1:09:39 Thank you. I try to, you know, focus on letting people share their story, you know what I mean. I just got into where I'm I'm especially if it's Oklahoma. Man, I'm I'm glued to that kind of stuff. I mean, I'm kind of I don't want to say infatuated, but I just like hearing other people's experiences, maybe because it maybe validates mine a little bit I don't know, but you know, kind of adds to what I think about the situation anyway. Well, Jerry, it is. It's great. It's always great to hear something from an individual like yourself who is not you know, didn't start out all like gung ho about bigfoot, but it was just out hunting and experienced some things in an area that is really known for bigfoot encounters.
