BIGFOOT IN EVERY COUNTY: OKANOGAN COUNTY, WASHINGTON In late January 1976, Cliff and Betty Libby reported a mysterious food raid at their cabin on Twisp River Road near Twisp, Okanogan County, Washington. Investigators later described human-shaped footprints measuring 16–17 inches long. The couple reported a strong odor, a metallic bang, and heavy footsteps in the snow. Bacon and beef were missing from beneath a metal washtub. A packaged sandwich was found nearby—and, according to investigator Rick Noll, Cliff later ate it. Neither homeowner reported seeing the creature during the raid.
