What We Saw on Tower Road Still Doesn’t Make Sense! | Washington

I've got the privilege of talking to Casey today. Casey is an individual that reached out to me about an experience he had up in Southwest Washington, and he had heard me on the Blurry Creatures show recently. So thank you to those guys for having me on to talk about the Ohio Bigfoot flap that was going on early March twenty twenty six, and Casey was able to reach out. One interesting piece of info about Casey Casey does also have prior law enforcement years of service there as well, so that might come into play. We'll see but Casey, welcome to the show.

1:10 How are you doing today. Sir John Grant? Thank you for the for allowing me to be on the show. Absolutely, and this is such a cool area that we're going to be talking about. I mean, is it's wild, it's remote, it's out there by Mount Saint Helen's and tootle. Casey, is there anything else that you would want the listeners to know about yourself for context before we get going? So Northwest guy grew up raised and one of those that skeptic would be fair to say for sure, even though I was in law enforcement, Might.

1:51 I say skeptic of anything such as bigfoot? But that said, yeah, that's pretty much my background, retired police officer. That's awesome. Case You feel free to take us back to what was going on that day. How you know the year, the time of year, and what you guys experienced out there north of Tudle in Silver Lake. Yep, yep, okay. So afternoon, beautiful, sunny, warm day, July of twenty twelve, driving along Tower Road, straight stretch, heading out to see family and my wife's family. And so I was with my wife, my son and his friend and we were on a straight stretch, like I said, going around fifty five, and this is July of twenty twelve again, and about four o'clock in the afternoon. Looking straight ahead, I'm driving in literally on the right side, my right giant and I would say jet black on two feet creature of some sort is standing there, and I'm I'm probably one hundred, one hundred and fifty yards away from this thing, just looking at it.

3:15 And then. Before I could even say anything, all of a sudden, it's like a blur. This thing just. Jets across the highway and in an instant and so as I'm like pulling up to this very spot where this just vanishes, it's a clear cut to my left, and I rolled the windows down just just in thought what did I see? And I'm looking into the clear cut and I'm stopped on Tower Road and my wife literally says, I wish I wouldn't have saw what I just saw.

3:59 And I said, oh, I'm so thankful you saw it, because. Can you imagine being the only person that sees something that you don't know what you saw, but you know what it Wasn't this? You know, I've seen deer, I've seen ow, I've seen bear, in the wild, I've seen you name it, and it was none of those things. It was simply unexplainable. And again guessing just in size. He was so big, ten plus feet jet block. And my wife described this thing as it was. She goes someone's like, it's like they pulled the prank on. It's like there's this big screen across the whole entire highway and they just took the camera and just and the projector so to speak, in the film across the screen.

4:49 It was so fast it was it was a blur. And and then of the clear cut. I'm just sitting there for a good ten plus seconds easy detect nothing. I see nothing. And it's like, if it's an animal, I'm. Going to see it. We're going to see it because it's a clear cut. And at this moment, my son, you know, he's like he wasn't looking at it, and he and his friend were in the back seat, and he's like, don't tell the story. People are going to think you guys are crazy kind of deal. And and we were already thinking that we weren't going to say anything because we didn't know what it was, other than to say we know what.

5:31 It absolutely wasn't. And so. You know, we collected ourselves and continued on our way and literally didn't didn't tell even family when we got to where we were going, and told a few, you know, select friends here and there over the years, but it was just it was crazy. But I can remember just like yesterday, and here we are twenty twenty six, and this was fourteen years ago, nearly fourteen years you. Know, and uh, it's as fresh as then. And I told my wife the other day, friendly got the nerve to, hey, dar, I'm gonna do this on the show, and and she was good with it.

6:12 She was like, yeah, that's that's we saw what we saw. We don't know what it was. She went so far as to even ask close friends who hunt, have you ever seen a bear on two feet? You know, she was trying to to explain it, you know, as if as if something could move that lightning fast and no, no, there's there's no way, there's no such thing. She didn't ask if you know they've ever seen. Big foot that kind of thing, but but she was She's still just it's just so baffling. And so. That literally was the experience. I mean, it lasted all of seconds at most, but it was unmistakable. It was huge, absolutely huge, and pitch black and just in it. Tower Road at that stretch is a good you know, this is a gas thirty plus feet easy wide, probably more, and there's plenty of shoulder on each side and and uh but this thing just just was jetted just lightning.

7:25 I'm talking lightning speed. That is that is so fascinating. And it is in an area if you look. I mean, so let's say we know Tower roads. So if you're looking at Tower Road, I mean you can look at Silver Lake and Tootle and that's like, Hi, that's five oh four that goes over to Saint Helen's. But like this area that you're referring to really goes into that that center area where there, I mean, there's roads in there, but it's not like you know, major roads like I five or five oh four or five oh five. I mean you're in there, right. Yeah. This yeah, this was this is so where we were was a good uh seven plus miles or so off of I five up.

8:11 To our road. It was the straight stretch just right before that area or that that turn. There was a house in the distant area to the right. Yeah, not on two. Far off the road, but but it was literally just right next to the road. Yeah, so just just mind boggling. So we'll talk about Well, I got a few questions for you. So you mentioned it was it was, you know, just a few seconds of seeing it. You know, I guess we could say blurry run across. We'll use the word blurry a few times in honor of the guys over at Blurry Creatures. So blurred across the road ran pretty quick, right, So I love those guys. Yeah, Now, did you get a chance to look at it before it started running that way across the road? Like, did you get a good look at it?

9:11 No? Actually, it was see see this is the this is the crazy thing. I mean it was. This thing's standing still two feet and just massive. And when I went I can't even say it was running because I never saw touch the ground. It was so just like. I wouldn't say an a operation, but kind of you'd almost think so, and where did it go? And how could it have literally like disappeared? Did it go to ground? It didn't go to ground. Again, with my law enforcement background, I would have been able to see, you know for sure, you know, if this thing's hunting tracking that sort of thing, and it just was gone and there was nowhere literally for it to go.

9:57 So I didn't get a face, neither did my wife. She just we both had the clear vision of its standing and then. Just just to go back to blur. It was just a literal blur across Tower Road. It was crazy, absolutely crazy. It really is. You mentioned it was chip black and you were estimating ten feet potentially ten feet tall around there. Yeah, it was ten feet all day long. It was. It was so so giant. You know, I'm a sports guy.

10:39 I've seen athletes that you know, the seven photos, and there's nothing. I can't even begin to say. It was ten plus. And I say that just because it's again a rough estimate, but you know, I'm one hundred and fifty yards at least down the highway at a straight stretch and you can see this thing. But again going fifty five it, I'm closing on it in a second and and uh thereabouts, and this thing was easy ten plus. I know it sounds crazy that. Yeah, So okay, So I mean let's let you mentioned your sports guys, So let's say, you know, Shaquille O'Neal seven to one. That's what Google says, seven to one, but way higher than way bigger.

11:30 Than oh yeah, hundred percent. Yeah, that's dwarfed. He dwarfed him. The thing was just absolutely massive and giant. And you know when when you see any clips of you know, what they call Bigfoot, it's you know, they show that, they show us lumbering whatever some of the stuff you see, and there's this thing moves, so you know, instantly wait, like just look, just like my wife said, it was a zef A cartoon, like you take the cartoon and chose roadrunners, you know, that kind of thing just just literally just flash and and uh so I I have my suspicions as to what I saw, and I can't see natural because there is nothing to explain it in the natural that I've ever seen. So take take what you will from that, but because physically, what can do that. And it was, like I said, it was a beautiful clear afternoon and there's just nowhere for it to go. And so yeah, and I'm just still so thankful my wife saw it, because you know, she's school teacher and it's the last thing she would have

13:01 ever wanted to see, honestly, and she saw it and she can explain it just the same way. As can I. And yeah, gotcha. Now can I ask you? Can I ask you a question? Yeah? Absolutely? Have you ever heard of a story anything similar to something like this? Because it was it was so I mean, it's not like I go around listening to shows. Blurry creatures is a who and I just recently caught onto that. But it's not like I'm meanto looking for stories like. This, right right? So have you ever heard of It's interesting? And it was something I was going to bring up to is that, you know, you listen to your account and one of the things that does get brought up sometimes is when people people see them move very quickly but very smoothly.

13:59 And something that's brought up a lot is like it was so smooth and it was so quick. It was almost like it was on cross country skis. It was just like it just glided right across. And I want to say I have heard a few people saying that it just you know, looked blurry as it went across. And of course you know that's sometimes the joke too, right, Why don't we get any good pictures of bigfoots because it's blurry all the time. But so I would say, you know, I've heard similar things to how you've described the way that it moved across the road. And I mean I've even talked to an individual from Pennsylvania where let me think, so they were filming they were filming the Bigfoot, and the way that they saw on film as opposed so they could look down, they could see it through the view fi, but they could also look at it and it looked different, which is very interesting.

15:06 So I don't know, like if it can, if whatever whatever this is and whatever it can do, if it can affect the way we're looking at it. Some people think that it can affect our eyes and that's why it might be blurry because of frequencies. It's a lot of a lot of congesture and theories there. Right, let me just say this is how quick I would say this thing was. So let's it was an easy forty yard distance. This thing covered just from where it was standing two And this is even being generous to in saying only forty yards because it was much further than that. But let's say a forty yard distance, you get the sprinters for the NFL combines and that sort of thing. They're running four a lightning guys for two you know, that's four point two seconds.

15:57 This this wasn't even seconds. This was. What would it be, Milla, Milla, Milla, you know, not even a minute of a second. It was. It was crazy how fast this thing covered even forty yards let alone, it was much further than that into this clear cut. And so. I mean that that is literally what happened. And so it wasn't like we saw it take steps. It was like. This thing was standing, clearly standing, and then in an absolute flash, you could just see this blur across that highway and then nowhere to be seen. That That's what I'm saying it was. And so can that be natural?

16:46 Is that something that we've ever seen in the physic? I don't know. I mean, I can't explain it. My wife can't explain it. I can't think of anything in nature that can move that quick. I know, I know see that therein lies the challenge on the whole thing. It's like, rationally, I it's beyond beyond belief. It's just literally beyond belief. And we both saw it, and you know, so just just a smidge in of my not only was my retired police officer. But I'm in higher education as well, so it's not like I'm looking to tell a story to create something. Here. This is, you know, this is literally what what we saw.

17:31 And and and again, just to double down, triple down. I'm just so thankful my wife saw it, because try to repeat that story to someone and you know you're. Going to get the My son's reaction was. What it was, but then he knows certainly we saw what we saw, because we both did, and he knows us obviously. But it does sound crazy. It just sounds crazy. Just and just a double check. So they're very very short time where you actually saw it standing there and then it just blurry went across the road. Was there anything that you could see that? You know, sometimes people when they try to describe what they're they see, they're like, oh, it looked kind of more like some kind of ape or monkey, or it looked like a human that was hanging out in the woods. Any any weird details like that.

18:25 Yeah, that's a great question. No, there, that's the thing. I mean, what you could see, what we could see? Well, I'll say what I saw on and my wife she would say the same, but just a massive black figure creature. And the best I could describe it would be like, yeah, apes aren't even that big, so goodness, maybe caricatures of what people would say is bigfoot perhaps, But and it was standing still. It was literally standing, you know, statue esque, you know, for a good you know, it was a good second plus easy because we both saw it. I mean, it was we were locked in on this thing. You could see it, but you couldn't see like a It's not like I'm looking, you know, at someone's face fifteen ten, fifteen, twenty feet away, you know, which is a frustrating you know, you know, and it would be for a listener to hear this, But at the same time.

19:38 That's just what we saw. And it was definitely a physical being standing there. And then just as quick as you can quick and you can blink, it's just on. And so. Because if I would have seen something, you know, in the clear, you know, I would have been reaching, reaching from my phone even twenty twelve, we had cell phones. And uh, just to just to get a snippet. And like I said, I sat there for a good several ten seconds. There was no traffic behind us or in front of us, so we were able to just sit there and and uh, you know, it crossed my mind at the very moment, could this be what people would say is big? But that's what one of the reasons I rolled the window down. But not only that just to see and hear and smell and whatever, but.

20:34 To experience. And plus that's my training, you know, from law Enforce, and we always have a window rolled down. And it was just crazy. It's crazy. That's that's some wild stuff. Could you tell how wide across it was? Yeah, So in replaying it and at the time that that's a great question, I would say it was. It was broad and so in comparison to say a shack who's probably a good you know, three plus feet three and a half. This this thing was that and then some So. A rough estimate because you got the shoulder where it was, you know, off the tower road, so it covered it covered a good you know, it was big enough to see its girth and I would say, you know, for plus feet again that's a that's a rough estimate.

21:30 But it was big. It was wide. This wasn't like a you know, you know, minut bowl skinny type of thing. This thing was giant, giant. So. Oh, okay. Sometimes people after they experienced something like this, they are really affected in different ways. Did it affect you or anyone else in the car? Are in in ways that you can think of. So what what it did for me was, you know, there's something for sure out there, and whether it's natural, supernatural one or the other combination of the two.

22:25 I definitely know for sure there's something. And I'm not saying it's a bigfoot, because I I don't know what it was. I just know what it. Wasn't and so that I'm certain, absolutely certain of. And and my wife would say the exact same thing. So it didn't affect us in the way that if it would have just been me saying it, I would I would be really frustrated. I would be like, oh, man, who's going to believe this? You know? And you know, try to convince yourself of what you saw, but but then try to commit yourself you didn't. But we know what we saw, and so so that's that, thankfully, is you know, blessing so to speak, that we both did, and so we both know, but we can't say what it was right exactly. We just know we just know that that it exists. Whatever it is out there and it fits. What I'll say is it definitely fits the features of what people would say is Bigfoot. That I can definitively say, is it fits what people say, you know, in these explanation and caricatures and so forth. But I can't definitively say that's what it was. Does that make sense?

23:43 Yeah? You know, it really does what it makes you, It makes you wonder, you know, if there's a whole theory where maybe it's something else and it's it's using a form to show itself to us, and sometimes people see as alien, sometimes as Bigfoot. That's that's definitely a theory that's that's out there. But I've heard it. But did anyone get really going down the Bigfoot trail after this that was in the car, or like I don't even want to hear about Bigfoot again, or just kind of you guys were in the middle ground.

24:26 So you know, my wife just kind of kept it close to the vest, as did as did I, you know, because you know, it was very very selective. I would bring her into conversation, you know, if we were talking to close friends, like you guys aren't gonna believe what we saw and and she would and they'd look at her and say, yeah. That's what we saw. What do you guys think it was? And and you know, we never would just say, oh, it's bigfoot. We just never have. How well, there's consistencies that it is perhaps that's what it, you know. Based on what you see so or based on what.

25:09 You know. Shows chricatures and that sort of thing. But so yeah, it uh, you know, it would. It would occasionally come up and very very you know, because we have friends that live out also in like I don't if you're familiar with Rose Valley, which is a community in College County and kind of out in the woods, so to speak, and and uh, you know, and have do we know anybody that's ever seen I've only talked to one person that claims that his it. Wasn't he himself that saw it. But he's a basketball coach college coach in the Northwest, and.

25:52 And a friend of mine, and I told him, he goes, he you know, I can believe us. He goes my my uncle. He went on to tell me his story. And and they literally saw one out on a logging road. And so that's the only other person that I've ever spoken with that, can you know essentially say they had to run in with something. Theirs was different because it was actually walking. It wasn't like a blur. But that said. Yeah, two more questions for you, and thank you so much for taking some time out of your day to share this. Would you want to have a sighting again of whatever it was that you saw that day?

26:40 I wouldn't have a problem with it, you know, seeing it. What I would want is to have my phone out. I would want to have video for others to see. I don't have to be convinced of anything, neither does my life because we saw what we saw. I would just want to be able to kind of lock it in for others. I wish that everyone could could have seen this and at some point, because there's no denying there's something out there. And so it's not like I'm I'm going about my day hoping, oh wow, I see when when we go there, it definitely crosses my mind thinking, wow are we going to you know kind of.

27:29 Oh yeah, I'd be thinking about it all the time. Yeah, absolutely, yeah, yeah we do. And yeah. So so last lastly, you know this happened in twenty twelve, so you have had well, man, you've had what fourteen fourteen years, yes, quite a while to think about it and to probably run it over in your mind a few times. Yeah, the story, the story has never ever change exactly. Let me just can I add one caveat to this. The only reason why I even went on your show is because you know.

28:09 Why, you know, was even willing, because when I would tell some of my close friends you should talk to you should tell whatever show. I go, I'm not going to do that. I'm not going to do that. And and then of course blurry creatures. You know, they don't just talk about Bigfoot. Then there's a. Whole lot of great topics they cover. But when you're on there, it was like, Okay, this is the safe place I can literally, I have no problem telling you and so. But but the story it's as if it happened yesterday. Honestly, it's as if we saw this thing yesterday. So sorry, go ahead, I guess. So have you gotten to Sometimes witnesses will get to a point where, based on what they saw, they could say Bigfoot. In my opinion, is this or this or are we at a point where, whereas you know, without as much information as when we started.

29:11 That's a good question. So you know, based on some of the stories that I've heard of people's sightings and so forth, it doesn't sound exactly the same as mine. Because that's why I asked you, as anyone ever had an explanation or a story, I should say, or an experience where something moved this fast. And when I hear of people telling bigfoot stories these encounters, so to speak, they're like, you know, lumbering slow, or they maybe dash quickly and they take a big jump or whatever. So where do I put that? Do I put it natural or do I put it supernatural? And because it's outside the I've just never heard of anybody telling a story similar to this to what we saw, what we experienced. So yeah, I but I I would say that I do absolutely there's no question something's out there.

30:11 And do they have the capability, like you said, to kind of make make themselves blurry? And I wonder, I don't know, I mean they can. Something's doing something for sure? One hundred percent? Am I saying it's a big foot? Well, it certainly resembles any and all. You know, when you see a show or you hear of a story and they describe it, Yeah, matches the description. And why is it always seem like it's on the side of a road. Well, this one was on the side of a road and in the size. Yep, that's that sounds exactly about what we saw. But the speed at which this thing went was just just unbelievable, just inexplainable.

30:53 So how does it do that? I don't know. You know, it's one of the reasons I do this show is because I feel that is one of the last great mysteries of the world is trying to figure out, you know, what it is or what exactly bigfoot is. All these people keep on seeing something out there across the US. And Casey, thank you so much for coming on the show and sharing your experience, and I want to make sure that you were able to share everything that you came to the show to share today. Yeah, that really does sum it up. But you know, there's absolutely no question that there is there are things out there and whether we're going.

Not a bear, dear elk, you know, any of the animals that any of us have ever seen, nothing of the kind, and so I'm absolutely certain And there you go. Well, thank you so much for coming on.
