In this episode of the Bigfoot Society, the host reconnects with Alex, a previous guest who has shared tales of Bigfoot sightings in Alaska (#242) and mysterious Skinwalker encounters in the U.S. southwest (#246). This time, Alex delves deep into a chilling encounter from his youth. On July 5th, 1978, at his grandparents' house in Hood River, Oregon, Alex had a direct and terrifying sighting of an albino Bigfoot. The creature, with its pink skin and reddish-pink eyes, stood just a few feet away from him, illuminated by a floodlight. The sheer size and appearance of the Bigfoot left a lasting impression on Alex, making it a memory he wishes he could forget.

9
00:00:33.159 --> 00:00:44.600
time so far, so let's get
on with the show, all right,
10
00:00:44.640 --> 00:00:48.799
Big for Society. We've got the
privilege of talking to Alex again. You
11
00:00:48.880 --> 00:00:54.719
may remember Alex from previous episodes back
a while ago. We talked about the
12
00:00:55.320 --> 00:00:59.200
Bigfoot of Prince of Wales Island back
in the day in Alaska, and we
13
00:00:59.280 --> 00:01:07.200
also talked about some interesting leave his
skinwalker type situations that he had in the
14
00:01:07.239 --> 00:01:12.680
southwest of the US. But Alex
reached out to me again. He's got
15
00:01:12.680 --> 00:01:19.159
some interesting things to share about his
younger years, but Alex, how are
16
00:01:19.200 --> 00:01:23.879
you doing today, sir? Very
good? How are you? Oh,
17
00:01:23.959 --> 00:01:26.400
I'm doing good, man. It's
always a good good day when I'm able
18
00:01:26.400 --> 00:01:33.599
to finish out the day chatting about
some interesting things over the phone for the
19
00:01:33.640 --> 00:01:38.120
podcast. And man, we've had
some real doozies lately with I'll tell you
20
00:01:38.120 --> 00:01:42.079
what, man, the one I
just did. YouTube's not letting me upload
21
00:01:42.120 --> 00:01:48.439
it. They're they're kind of I
don't know if it's just the glitch,
22
00:01:48.519 --> 00:01:51.439
but like, I don't know if
I'll be able to put on YouTube.
23
00:01:51.439 --> 00:01:56.200
We'll see, but anyways, fingers
crossed on that one. But Alex,
24
00:01:56.239 --> 00:02:00.120
what have you been up to lately? Same thing I do every night,
25
00:02:00.200 --> 00:02:07.639
Jeremiah try to take over the world. Sorry for half of my listeners aren't
26
00:02:07.639 --> 00:02:12.080
going to get that, But yeah, Thanky and the brain reference. Just
27
00:02:12.080 --> 00:02:15.800
in case anybody's wondering, look it
up on Hulu or whatever and you might
28
00:02:15.840 --> 00:02:20.319
be able to find some old episodes. It's a classic for sure. Good
29
00:02:20.360 --> 00:02:27.039
stuff. But sorry, you're good, Alex. You were saying that,
30
00:02:27.479 --> 00:02:30.319
and I think we may have referenced
this a little bit in one of the
31
00:02:30.360 --> 00:02:38.800
episodes, but you said that you
wanted to get deep into a sighting that
32
00:02:38.879 --> 00:02:46.560
you had in your younger years.
So I'm going to let you jump right
33
00:02:46.599 --> 00:02:52.000
into that and let's start. Let's
start chatting about that. What happened to
34
00:02:52.039 --> 00:02:59.599
you back in those days. Okay, it was July fifth, nineteen seventy
35
00:02:59.639 --> 00:03:06.400
eight. I remember it pretty well. It was just the usual day.
36
00:03:06.599 --> 00:03:09.800
We'd been up there, and we'd
just celebrated the fourth of July the day
37
00:03:09.800 --> 00:03:15.479
before, and we were kind of
hanging around and this is my grandpa and
38
00:03:15.560 --> 00:03:22.039
grandma's house in Hood River, Oregon, and it was just like any other
39
00:03:22.159 --> 00:03:28.039
day or whatever. This was back
before I really knew about Bigfoot. I
40
00:03:28.800 --> 00:03:32.280
mean, you know, you've heard
of it, and i'd heard people reference
41
00:03:32.360 --> 00:03:37.639
it. But you know, as
I've stated in previous shows, you know,
42
00:03:37.719 --> 00:03:40.000
i'd put that in the realm of
unicorns, ferries, alves, trolls,
43
00:03:40.080 --> 00:03:45.199
that kind of stuff, you know, mythological doesn't exist, couldn't possibly
44
00:03:45.280 --> 00:03:49.240
exist, and that's kind of where
i'd put it, so, you know,
45
00:03:49.719 --> 00:03:55.680
and we'd been out berry picking and
we have BlackBerry briars which grew along
46
00:03:55.719 --> 00:04:00.599
the road by my grandma and grandpa's
house, and we go out there and
47
00:04:00.680 --> 00:04:04.240
we pick them and they're really good, and so we just went back to
48
00:04:04.280 --> 00:04:09.879
the house. My grandma made some
BlackBerry pie and some other BlackBerry stuff jam
49
00:04:09.919 --> 00:04:15.560
and whatnot, and it was about
nine o'clock I went to bed. And
50
00:04:16.839 --> 00:04:21.519
this is the part that really gets
me, because like, I wish to
51
00:04:21.560 --> 00:04:26.600
God it, I wish to God, I've never seen that bigfoot man,
52
00:04:27.199 --> 00:04:30.439
I really do. And I'm not
laughing because it's funny. I'm laughing because
53
00:04:30.480 --> 00:04:35.839
even talking about it just makes me
like relive it. And it's like,
54
00:04:38.720 --> 00:04:45.879
so it's like about one point thirty
in the morning, basically, and I
55
00:04:46.000 --> 00:04:47.800
have to go to the bathroom.
So I wake up, I do my
56
00:04:47.879 --> 00:04:54.879
business, and I'm coming back into
my room and up above our room had
57
00:04:54.959 --> 00:04:59.319
no curtains on the windows, so
you could see in and out and there
58
00:04:59.360 --> 00:05:02.759
was nothing blocking the view or anything
like that. We had two windows in
59
00:05:02.800 --> 00:05:09.079
the back bedroom of the house,
and one window was on the right side
60
00:05:09.079 --> 00:05:13.000
of the room. The other was
on the left on the left side of
61
00:05:13.000 --> 00:05:15.680
the room. Right above that,
my grandpa had a floodlight with a sensor
62
00:05:15.800 --> 00:05:19.920
on it, and if you walked
out in front of that at night,
63
00:05:20.959 --> 00:05:27.600
it would turn on. And it
had two bright floodlights over it. And
64
00:05:27.680 --> 00:05:31.879
so I'm getting ready, I'm walking. I just stepped into the door and
65
00:05:31.959 --> 00:05:38.160
walked part way into the room and
that floodlight kick going. And I was
66
00:05:38.160 --> 00:05:41.480
sitting there thinking, Wow, that's
kind of weird because it's like one thirty
67
00:05:41.480 --> 00:05:46.600
in the morning, and you know, it's like we had on the wall.
68
00:05:46.639 --> 00:05:53.560
We had a small cloth with a
little pendulum on it and it showed
69
00:05:53.560 --> 00:05:58.240
the time as one thirty, and
so like when I saw that light kick
70
00:05:58.279 --> 00:06:00.600
on, I was like, because
my grandpa he had that floodlight out there
71
00:06:00.639 --> 00:06:09.360
with censor because he worked at the
sawmill up there, and he would come
72
00:06:09.360 --> 00:06:13.759
out and that floodlight would kick on. And he had his little white Toyota
73
00:06:13.800 --> 00:06:18.279
truck, a small Toyota truck,
not the big ones or any of that,
74
00:06:18.360 --> 00:06:23.199
but it was a real small one. I don't remember exactly what model
75
00:06:23.240 --> 00:06:26.759
it was. I just remember it
was white and it was small. I
76
00:06:26.759 --> 00:06:30.199
mean, it's big enough for him
to fit in obviously, but you know,
77
00:06:30.360 --> 00:06:34.319
it wasn't a big size truck or
a full size truck. So anyway,
78
00:06:34.680 --> 00:06:39.079
he would use that so that when
he came out there, like three
79
00:06:39.079 --> 00:06:42.360
point thirty four in the morning to
go to work, that he could get
80
00:06:42.360 --> 00:06:45.040
in the car. The floodlight would
be on, and then he'd put his
81
00:06:45.120 --> 00:06:47.920
key in the door and take off. And so I'm sitting there, and
82
00:06:48.160 --> 00:06:55.560
right next to that truck there's a
big fuel tank which he had filled regularly
83
00:06:55.639 --> 00:07:01.199
and had gas in it, and
so he would use that to fill his
84
00:07:01.360 --> 00:07:08.680
vehicles and stuff. And anyway,
so the light kicks on. I'm thinking,
85
00:07:08.839 --> 00:07:11.959
I don't know, maybe there was
something going on at the sawmill,
86
00:07:12.079 --> 00:07:15.920
maybe he had to go into work
early. So I start walking toward the
87
00:07:15.959 --> 00:07:28.240
window and I look out the window. And this is still hard to talk
88
00:07:28.240 --> 00:07:31.839
about, man, because this is
a direct sighting. This is like where
89
00:07:31.879 --> 00:07:38.600
you're looking at something through binoculars or
a rifle scope or some type of telescopic
90
00:07:38.759 --> 00:07:43.639
lens or something. This is like
you're like five six feet away from this
91
00:07:43.720 --> 00:07:49.839
thing, and it's like you look
out and you're a kid, and you
92
00:07:49.959 --> 00:07:57.160
look out the window and you see
this gigantic frigging bigfoot just standing there looking
93
00:07:57.160 --> 00:08:01.759
at the light. And it held
its hand, not its paw didn't have
94
00:08:01.800 --> 00:08:07.439
a paw like a bear. It
had a hand, a gigantic frigging hand.
95
00:08:07.759 --> 00:08:09.959
This hand was like the size of
a boot or I mean, the
96
00:08:11.000 --> 00:08:16.759
hand was massive and musculary. I
can't even describe to you how strong this
97
00:08:16.839 --> 00:08:22.240
bigfoot was and how strong it look. I've told people before that it looked
98
00:08:22.279 --> 00:08:26.600
like it could literally rip the house
right off the foundation and not even break
99
00:08:26.600 --> 00:08:30.600
a sweat. That's how massive this
thing was. And it had its hand
100
00:08:30.639 --> 00:08:35.679
over its eyes because the light was
blinding it. I don't think it expected
101
00:08:35.720 --> 00:08:41.240
that, because it acted kind of
surprised, and it had like a I
102
00:08:41.279 --> 00:08:48.159
don't know, I don't know,
like a weird look on its face.
103
00:08:48.200 --> 00:08:50.480
I can't really explain it, like
what the hell kind of look? You
104
00:08:50.480 --> 00:08:56.960
know what I mean, like being
blinded and putting its hand over its face.
105
00:08:56.320 --> 00:09:03.440
You know, it had the hand
palm facing outward, and the hand
106
00:09:03.639 --> 00:09:07.159
was like covering its eyes, like
it was holding it up to its eyes.
107
00:09:07.000 --> 00:09:15.000
And it's like, my brain is
just gone. I can't even think.
108
00:09:15.240 --> 00:09:18.919
I can't even move, I'm just
staring and it's like, you know,
109
00:09:20.120 --> 00:09:26.399
it kind of I don't know.
I guess it got used to the
110
00:09:26.480 --> 00:09:28.480
light or something, and then the
light kind of I don't know, it
111
00:09:28.519 --> 00:09:33.000
was just weird. It kind of
looked over put its hand over you know
112
00:09:33.039 --> 00:09:37.440
how people put their hands over their
eyes when lights or lights are there,
113
00:09:37.440 --> 00:09:39.679
and they kind of make it like
the brow of a hat, you know,
114
00:09:39.879 --> 00:09:45.440
like the hats people where you know
how you put your hand over your
115
00:09:45.440 --> 00:09:50.480
eyes and put it right around your
eyebrow level where you can cover your eyes
116
00:09:50.519 --> 00:09:54.279
from the light. It looked in
there in the window, and I think
117
00:09:54.320 --> 00:10:01.000
it saw me standing there, and
it was kind of squinting. And I'll
118
00:10:01.039 --> 00:10:05.159
tell you that it was albino.
It had weird pink skin. And you
119
00:10:05.200 --> 00:10:11.559
know how albino rabbits have those weird
reddish pink eyes. That's what its eyes
120
00:10:11.600 --> 00:10:15.679
were like. And that's what its
eyes looked like. And that scared the
121
00:10:15.840 --> 00:10:18.519
living hell out of me. That
was the craziest looking thing I had ever
122
00:10:18.600 --> 00:10:26.000
seen in my life. It probably
was like four foot of the shoulders.
123
00:10:26.320 --> 00:10:30.399
It had like no neck. Its
head was set directly on its shoulders.
124
00:10:30.399 --> 00:10:33.879
It looked like and it didn't look
It didn't have like an ape face.
125
00:10:33.919 --> 00:10:39.759
You know how apes have like their
where their faces it kind of protrudes and
126
00:10:39.840 --> 00:10:45.080
sticks out a little bit like on
chimpanzees and stuff. It didn't have that.
127
00:10:45.159 --> 00:10:48.080
It had a flat face like humans
do. And it had a weird
128
00:10:48.279 --> 00:10:56.200
nose. Its nose was kind of
bulbous, and it was God. Even
129
00:10:56.240 --> 00:11:01.000
thinking about this trips me out.
Seriously. It's like when I talk about
130
00:11:01.000 --> 00:11:03.679
it, man, it's like I'm
right there again, it's like I'm looking
131
00:11:03.720 --> 00:11:09.480
at it. I can see it
in my brain. I can just like
132
00:11:09.279 --> 00:11:11.480
I don't know, it's like it
just happened, you know what I mean.
133
00:11:11.679 --> 00:11:16.399
I mean, it's like I'm right
there looking at it right now in
134
00:11:16.480 --> 00:11:22.879
my mind, and it's like my
brain just shredded. I mean, I
135
00:11:22.919 --> 00:11:26.399
didn't even know what to do,
man, I was so friggin scared.
136
00:11:26.679 --> 00:11:31.159
I didn't know if it was going
to grab me through the window, if
137
00:11:31.200 --> 00:11:33.519
it was going to try to get
in. I didn't know what it was
138
00:11:33.559 --> 00:11:37.159
going to do. I had no
idea. And so it walks up to
139
00:11:37.159 --> 00:11:43.279
the window, places both hands over
its eyes and stares in at me.
140
00:11:43.159 --> 00:11:48.759
And you know, when I say
over its eyes, I mean like you
141
00:11:48.840 --> 00:11:52.519
know how they salute in the military, and they salute like that. But
142
00:11:52.639 --> 00:11:58.120
it had its it's like its thumb
over on its cheek and its hand over
143
00:11:58.200 --> 00:12:01.120
its eye, ride both hands,
its thumbs on its cheeks and its hand
144
00:12:01.279 --> 00:12:07.399
over it's right above its brow,
and it was looking in the window at
145
00:12:07.440 --> 00:12:11.679
me in that bigfoot had weird eyes. It had little eyes. They were
146
00:12:11.720 --> 00:12:20.519
small and round and set real close
together, and it's just like it was
147
00:12:20.600 --> 00:12:26.960
absolutely terrifying, absolutely frigging terrifying.
I mean, I'm just like, what
148
00:12:28.000 --> 00:12:30.799
the hell, I don't even know
what to do, man, I'm just
149
00:12:30.840 --> 00:12:33.840
like And it seemed to go on
forever, you know what I mean.
150
00:12:33.559 --> 00:12:37.879
It just seemed like like like it
was hours, and it was really just
151
00:12:37.960 --> 00:12:43.080
a few seconds. I mean,
it was probably only like a minute if
152
00:12:43.120 --> 00:12:50.480
that. And it's looking in the
window and I'm just sitting there, standing
153
00:12:50.480 --> 00:13:03.960
there, I should say, just
like dumb as can be. And I
154
00:13:05.159 --> 00:13:13.159
finally kind of let out a like
that kind of and it kind of stepped
155
00:13:13.159 --> 00:13:16.679
back a little bit, and it
got a surprised look on its face,
156
00:13:16.000 --> 00:13:20.759
you know what I mean, Like
it like, I don't know, its
157
00:13:20.799 --> 00:13:26.440
eyes kind of opened up a little
wider, and like it stepped back,
158
00:13:26.440 --> 00:13:28.039
and it was looking at me like, why the hell did you do that?
159
00:13:28.279 --> 00:13:31.679
You know what I mean? Why
is he screaming? What the hell?
160
00:13:33.440 --> 00:13:37.039
You know? And kind of like
a surprise look, and then it
161
00:13:37.159 --> 00:13:41.840
just kind of kind of glares at
me, and then it turns around and
162
00:13:41.879 --> 00:13:46.679
it starts walking away and as it
walked away, it let out this really
163
00:13:46.720 --> 00:13:50.559
bizarre screech. I will never forget
that for the rest of my life.
164
00:13:50.600 --> 00:13:54.519
I can't imitate it, but I
heard it once a sound that was very
165
00:13:54.559 --> 00:14:01.200
similar to it. It was recorded
in nineteen seventy five on the reservation in
166
00:14:01.440 --> 00:14:09.679
Washington, and it was recorded by
a police officer. And I cannot remember
167
00:14:09.759 --> 00:14:13.559
what that gentleman's name was, but
anyway, he recorded it, and it
168
00:14:13.639 --> 00:14:18.159
was just this really weird screech and
it let it out and it was just
169
00:14:18.279 --> 00:14:24.960
like, you know, I can't
even imitate it, but like I could
170
00:14:26.039 --> 00:14:28.200
feel it in my body, you
know what I mean, Like it like
171
00:14:28.759 --> 00:14:33.360
the sound. When it hit me, it felt like I was almost like
172
00:14:33.440 --> 00:14:37.120
a physically hit, you know what
I mean, not like a punch,
173
00:14:37.200 --> 00:14:43.639
but like with vibrations from the sound. And I was like, you know,
174
00:14:43.759 --> 00:14:48.240
I was just sitting there and I
was just like completely dumbfounded. And
175
00:14:48.600 --> 00:14:52.919
you know, I guess my grandpa
heard me, and he came running in
176
00:14:52.919 --> 00:14:56.919
the room. But by the time
he got in there, it was already
177
00:14:56.919 --> 00:15:01.879
out of sight because the sucker was
taken like five foot whatever strides and it
178
00:15:03.000 --> 00:15:05.720
was out of side in just a
few seconds. We'll be back with more
179
00:15:05.720 --> 00:15:15.200
Bigfoot Society after these words from our
sponsors. And so by the time he
180
00:15:15.240 --> 00:15:18.360
got in there, he was like, what what, what the hell?
181
00:15:18.480 --> 00:15:22.240
You know, what's going on?
I couldn't even talk, you know,
182
00:15:22.399 --> 00:15:26.840
I was just sitting there like,
you know kind of thing. And my
183
00:15:26.840 --> 00:15:31.960
grandpa was like he took me out
to the front room and he sat me
184
00:15:31.000 --> 00:15:35.039
down and he said, boy,
you need to breathe, you need to
185
00:15:35.080 --> 00:15:39.279
calm down. You need to think. He said, what happened? And
186
00:15:39.440 --> 00:15:43.159
I couldn't tell him. I don't
even know how long it was, man,
187
00:15:43.240 --> 00:15:46.879
that I stood there or sat there
on the couch looking at him,
188
00:15:46.279 --> 00:15:54.480
dumb as a rock. And then
I was finally, after whatever time,
189
00:15:54.080 --> 00:15:58.399
able to get it out. And
I just kind of stumbled at it and
190
00:15:58.480 --> 00:16:02.559
I said, Grandpa, I said, I saw a big hairy monster sitting
191
00:16:02.559 --> 00:16:07.360
outside my window. And I said
it scared me real bad, Grandpa,
192
00:16:07.360 --> 00:16:11.639
And he looked right at me and
he said, the craziest thing, Jeremiah.
193
00:16:11.200 --> 00:16:15.240
He didn't say the moose were back, the elk were back, the
194
00:16:15.320 --> 00:16:19.360
dogs were back, the bears were
back. He said, the damn dapes
195
00:16:19.399 --> 00:16:23.840
are back. As soon as I
told him what I saw he said,
196
00:16:23.840 --> 00:16:30.840
the damn dapes are back, and
he wouldn't say anything after that. I
197
00:16:30.879 --> 00:16:33.480
asked him, I was like,
Grandpa, what do you mean? He
198
00:16:33.639 --> 00:16:37.000
just turned real white, like pale, like he'd just seen a ghost,
199
00:16:37.360 --> 00:16:45.279
you know, And he was like, my grandpa was a very religious man,
200
00:16:45.320 --> 00:16:48.879
and if he cursed, it was
because there was like a severe provocation
201
00:16:48.720 --> 00:16:52.720
or something that was really and all
the time I knew my grandpa. That
202
00:16:52.799 --> 00:16:56.840
was the only time I ever heard
him curse when he said the damn dapes
203
00:16:56.879 --> 00:17:04.200
are back, and it's like God
talking about it. Man, I'm just
204
00:17:04.200 --> 00:17:08.599
sitting here sweating and shaking a little
bit. I'm sorry. I apologize,
205
00:17:08.640 --> 00:17:12.880
Jeremiah. It's just when you see
something up close and personal like that,
206
00:17:15.920 --> 00:17:18.680
there's no way you can mistake what
it is. Okay, it wasn't a
207
00:17:18.720 --> 00:17:22.160
bear, it wasn't a moose,
wasn't an elk, wasn't a guy in
208
00:17:22.200 --> 00:17:30.240
a costume. It was just a
large, hairy ape. And I don't
209
00:17:30.279 --> 00:17:32.759
know how to describe it any better
than that. But I'm sitting there on
210
00:17:32.799 --> 00:17:36.720
the couch, man, and my
grandpa will not explain himself. Now,
211
00:17:36.799 --> 00:17:41.640
I will tell you that a few
years later he had passed away, and
212
00:17:41.759 --> 00:17:48.440
my grandma had told me afterward that
he worked on Mount Hood. They had
213
00:17:48.440 --> 00:17:52.599
a logging contract in Manhood National Forest. She did not tell me exactly where,
214
00:17:52.640 --> 00:17:57.000
so I don't know, but they
had a logging contract up there to
215
00:17:57.440 --> 00:18:03.200
thin out the forest and stuff like
that. And she said that when he
216
00:18:03.319 --> 00:18:07.640
was up there in the logging camp, they had these canvas tents, these
217
00:18:07.680 --> 00:18:11.000
big canvas tents where the guys would
sleep, and they had some set up
218
00:18:11.000 --> 00:18:17.000
where they'd eat and stuff like that. She said that the Bigfoot came to
219
00:18:17.079 --> 00:18:21.599
his camp and would like break their
axes, and they had these big,
220
00:18:21.720 --> 00:18:26.119
like fifty five gallon fuel drums,
and those things weighed like hundreds of pounds,
221
00:18:26.160 --> 00:18:30.799
you know what I mean. This
isn't something a normal person can lift.
222
00:18:30.319 --> 00:18:36.160
In order to lift them, they
had to have like heavy machinery come
223
00:18:36.240 --> 00:18:41.079
in to lift those things up.
One of the big foots or two,
224
00:18:41.240 --> 00:18:42.960
I don't know how many. They
found one set of tracks, so I'm
225
00:18:44.000 --> 00:18:48.559
assuming it's one. According to my
grandma, she said they found one set
226
00:18:48.559 --> 00:18:52.839
of tracks. This thing had grabbed
that fifty five gallon fuel drum, picked
227
00:18:52.839 --> 00:18:57.680
it up, carried it about one
hundred feet and threw it in a ravine.
228
00:18:59.319 --> 00:19:02.400
You see. That's that's why when
I tell you that bigfoot are like
229
00:19:02.519 --> 00:19:08.640
freakishly strong, it's like I'm not
joking at all. If it can throw
230
00:19:08.680 --> 00:19:14.240
a fifty five gallon fuel drum that
was filled with fuel into a ravine,
231
00:19:15.759 --> 00:19:21.599
that's something that is like beyond powerful. That's like almost like I don't even
232
00:19:21.599 --> 00:19:26.759
know where to put that. But
she said that when the laggers went out
233
00:19:26.799 --> 00:19:30.480
the log she said, the Bigfoots
would come in and tear up their camp,
234
00:19:30.200 --> 00:19:34.000
and they always knew it was bigfoots. They found those gigantic freaking tracks
235
00:19:34.039 --> 00:19:40.240
out there. My grandpa actually saw
one, I guess. According to my
236
00:19:40.359 --> 00:19:44.519
grandma, he would never talk about
it to me directly, but she said
237
00:19:44.559 --> 00:19:48.079
that he told her about it,
and he said that they were chestnut colored,
238
00:19:48.680 --> 00:19:52.720
and he said they were gigantic,
like ten feet tall, and he
239
00:19:52.839 --> 00:19:57.640
said that they could like break trees
and uproot trees and stuff like that,
240
00:19:57.720 --> 00:20:02.799
and he said they'd throw rocks at
him. And eventually the bigfoot were so
241
00:20:02.920 --> 00:20:07.559
aggressive up there on Mount Hood that
they scared them all away, and the
242
00:20:07.640 --> 00:20:12.880
loggers and lumberjacks and all that they
just quit and they just abandoned their camp
243
00:20:12.920 --> 00:20:17.960
and left. It never went back. They didn't even go back to pick
244
00:20:18.039 --> 00:20:23.200
up the stuff that was out there, I guess. So it's like my
245
00:20:23.279 --> 00:20:29.079
grandpa knew what I saw. As
soon as I was finally able to stammer
246
00:20:29.359 --> 00:20:33.279
out what I told him, he
knew immediately what it was, you know,
247
00:20:33.400 --> 00:20:34.680
Like I said. He didn't say
the damn bears are back, the
248
00:20:34.759 --> 00:20:38.960
damn guys and costumes are back.
He said, the damned apes are back.
249
00:20:41.240 --> 00:20:44.720
And I will never forget that sighting
as long as I live, man,
250
00:20:44.799 --> 00:20:48.480
that thing haunts me, will haunt
me till the day I die.
251
00:20:49.079 --> 00:20:55.119
The weird thing about it is that
it had that weird pink skin and had
252
00:20:55.119 --> 00:20:59.039
a white hair on his body,
like all white, no color in the
253
00:20:59.079 --> 00:21:03.519
hair except white. And the hair
on its body was like three to four
254
00:21:03.559 --> 00:21:07.559
inches. And the next day,
my grandpa and I went outside and this
255
00:21:07.599 --> 00:21:11.680
thing left tracks that were an inch
and three quarters impressed into the ground.
256
00:21:12.480 --> 00:21:18.119
My grandpa was six foot and he
weighed about two hundred and fifty pounds,
257
00:21:18.359 --> 00:21:22.960
and he barely made an impression.
But whatever, however much the bigfoot I
258
00:21:23.000 --> 00:21:27.680
saw weighed, it left prints that
were an inch and three quarters and pressed
259
00:21:27.680 --> 00:21:33.119
into the ground. And it had
it, like I said, a five
260
00:21:33.160 --> 00:21:37.400
foot stride. And he measured the
footprints using his tape measure, and they
261
00:21:37.440 --> 00:21:44.000
were twenty two inches long and they
were about seven inches wide. And like
262
00:21:44.039 --> 00:21:45.960
I said, the sucker was massive. I'd say it'd probably have to be
263
00:21:45.960 --> 00:21:49.279
in the seven and a half eight
foot maybe eight and a half foot range,
264
00:21:51.039 --> 00:21:55.319
because all windows on my grandpa's house
in the back end were about six
265
00:21:55.920 --> 00:22:00.680
or so feet off the ground,
and this thing had to been down to
266
00:22:00.720 --> 00:22:07.519
look in the window. So you're
talking about something that's frigging massive. And
267
00:22:07.559 --> 00:22:11.160
like I said that, the whole
incident couldn't have been more than like I
268
00:22:11.160 --> 00:22:15.519
don't know, maybe a minute tops. I'm not even sure, to be
269
00:22:15.559 --> 00:22:19.680
honest, I was so tripped out. I just I was completely dumbfounded.
270
00:22:21.039 --> 00:22:26.519
And so when my grandpa finally got
me calmed down, like I said,
271
00:22:26.559 --> 00:22:30.400
he would not discuss with me what
he said about the apes. Damn bapes
272
00:22:30.400 --> 00:22:34.000
are back, and so you know, he looked at me and he said,
273
00:22:34.000 --> 00:22:38.279
boy, don't ask. And so
when my grandpa said stuff like that,
274
00:22:38.920 --> 00:22:41.759
my grandpa was a man a few
words. He was the strong,
275
00:22:41.880 --> 00:22:47.079
silent type. If he said boy
don't ask, I knew if I kept
276
00:22:47.160 --> 00:22:51.759
asking, I'd get a whooping because
my grandpa was not afraid to hand out
277
00:22:51.799 --> 00:22:55.359
a little little justice, if you
know what I mean. And so I
278
00:22:55.480 --> 00:22:57.880
just I just dropped it, like
I said. Years later, my grandma
279
00:22:57.920 --> 00:23:07.319
clued me in and both my grandfather
Lee, who was the grandpa I grew
280
00:23:07.359 --> 00:23:14.079
up with, and my grandpa Pat, my flesh and blood grandpa. My
281
00:23:14.079 --> 00:23:21.480
grandma remarried to my grandpa Lee after
my grandpa Pat passed away. My grandpa
282
00:23:21.519 --> 00:23:26.839
Pat was also a logger, and
he had experiences with them. I guess
283
00:23:26.880 --> 00:23:32.200
in Timber, Oregon, which is
outside of Banks, Oregon, which is
284
00:23:32.440 --> 00:23:37.839
not too far from Portland, but
it's out in the countryside. And in
285
00:23:37.920 --> 00:23:42.720
Timber, Oregon, that place is
massively forested. There's like hundreds of miles
286
00:23:42.759 --> 00:23:45.599
out there forests, or there were
when I was a kid. I don't
287
00:23:45.640 --> 00:23:49.599
know about now. I haven't been
in Oregon since nineteen ninety six. I
288
00:23:49.599 --> 00:23:52.200
have no idea what it looks like
now. But when I was a kid,
289
00:23:52.359 --> 00:24:00.559
Timber was just all forest, dick, dense, thick forest like pine
290
00:24:00.599 --> 00:24:07.359
trees and stuff, and they were
pretty good sized. And I guess my
291
00:24:07.359 --> 00:24:12.039
grandpa Pat had experiences with them too. I guess I guess the big Foot
292
00:24:12.039 --> 00:24:19.640
would like break their axes. And
my grandpa told my grandma that, you
293
00:24:19.680 --> 00:24:23.400
know those big saws that they have, the kind that have like two handles
294
00:24:23.440 --> 00:24:27.480
and it takes two people to use
it, and they're metal them, they've
295
00:24:27.519 --> 00:24:34.119
got like wooden handles and they're probably
like six feet long. I think they
296
00:24:34.160 --> 00:24:41.880
had one of those. And my
grandma said that the bigfoots ripped the saws
297
00:24:41.920 --> 00:24:47.319
apart by grabbing them, putting their
hands on it. And I guess one
298
00:24:47.359 --> 00:24:52.720
of the loggers saw them do this. It picked up the saw and this
299
00:24:52.799 --> 00:24:57.359
is some pretty heavy stuff, you
know what I mean. And you know
300
00:24:57.440 --> 00:25:03.720
how people can grab pa burn rip
it down the middle. That's what the
301
00:25:03.720 --> 00:25:08.119
big Foot did to the saw.
And the metal on the saw. They
302
00:25:08.200 --> 00:25:15.200
ripped it like paper, just ripped
it. And like they said that the
303
00:25:15.240 --> 00:25:19.200
big Foot were so strong that they
could like twist the axes and break them
304
00:25:19.960 --> 00:25:25.720
just by like holding them in their
hands. And like then they'd take the
305
00:25:26.559 --> 00:25:32.880
metal the axe head and they'd like
throw them in in like rivers, lakes,
306
00:25:32.920 --> 00:25:37.240
streams, whatever, they'd throw them
in there, and uh, it's
307
00:25:37.319 --> 00:25:48.559
just like I don't know, man, it's just you know, it's just
308
00:25:48.799 --> 00:25:53.599
sorry, go ahead. I'm not
surprised that they would have that kind of
309
00:25:53.640 --> 00:25:59.759
thing happened to them. I mean, there's so many stories of like individuals
310
00:26:00.200 --> 00:26:07.000
that might be clearing brush or in
this case, cutting down trees, and
311
00:26:07.400 --> 00:26:10.359
I could definitely, you know,
that's that's one of the easy ways to
312
00:26:10.440 --> 00:26:15.000
get these creatures pretty mad, it
seems so, I could definitely see how,
313
00:26:15.559 --> 00:26:18.920
you know, you'd have axes broken
or saws ripped in half, or
314
00:26:19.519 --> 00:26:26.160
you know, any other tools just
just devastated. Thankfully, you know,
315
00:26:26.519 --> 00:26:30.880
the Bigfoot weren't coming after the guys
themselves in this situation, although I'm sure
316
00:26:30.920 --> 00:26:37.480
that probably happened in other situations.
But they were pretty lucky to get away
317
00:26:37.519 --> 00:26:41.920
with just their axes being twisted,
for sure. My grandma did say that
318
00:26:42.000 --> 00:26:48.039
there was a guy who shot at
one a Bigfoot on that mountain in Mount
319
00:26:48.079 --> 00:26:52.200
Hood that was on their camp.
He shot at one. That guy ended
320
00:26:52.279 --> 00:26:55.599
up disappearing. They never heard from
him again. Nobody knew what happened to
321
00:26:55.720 --> 00:26:57.480
him. I don't know the band's
name, I don't know where he was
322
00:26:57.519 --> 00:27:03.039
from. All I know is my
grandma said he was a new person on
323
00:27:03.079 --> 00:27:07.680
the crew, and nobody really knew
him very well, and I guess he
324
00:27:07.960 --> 00:27:11.920
saw a bigfoot and shot at it. And the next day he disappeared.
325
00:27:12.920 --> 00:27:17.799
And you know, again, nobody
knows what happened to him. I don't
326
00:27:17.960 --> 00:27:22.079
have any I can only tell you
what my grandma said. I can't tell
327
00:27:22.079 --> 00:27:25.480
you who the man was, where
he was from, or anything about him.
328
00:27:25.799 --> 00:27:29.119
All I can tell you is what
she said. So I will just
329
00:27:29.160 --> 00:27:33.799
say to your listeners, don't shoot
at bigfoot. Don't do it. You're
330
00:27:33.839 --> 00:27:37.599
not not a good idea, and
it's a very unhealthy idea. Even if
331
00:27:37.640 --> 00:27:42.880
you were to get one, you
know that their brothers are right around the
332
00:27:42.880 --> 00:27:48.359
corner, so you're not just dealing
with one. Well, as how I
333
00:27:48.400 --> 00:27:52.680
look at it, you've got multiples, so you better be ready. Natives
334
00:27:52.680 --> 00:27:57.960
I've talked to who live out in
Oregon, like the Shaelis, you know,
335
00:27:59.079 --> 00:28:03.920
the Yakama tribe and some other stuff. Some of the people I talked
336
00:28:03.920 --> 00:28:10.359
to, they said that those suckers
live in families, and that they look
337
00:28:10.400 --> 00:28:15.920
out for each other, and they
whistle and call each other in when stuff
338
00:28:15.000 --> 00:28:21.160
like that happens. And then you
get like mass attacked. And I think
339
00:28:21.200 --> 00:28:26.440
we can all learn and learn from
the fred Beck experience from eight Kenyon in
340
00:28:26.559 --> 00:28:33.039
nineteen twenty four. Oh, absolutely, you shouldn't shoot a bigfoot. But
341
00:28:33.720 --> 00:28:37.599
it's like, I know we're getting
off topic. I'm sorry. It's just
342
00:28:38.519 --> 00:28:44.920
I when I talk about that sighting
I had, it really really kind of
343
00:28:44.920 --> 00:28:48.240
shakes me up and I kind of
get upset. Not a you or at
344
00:28:48.319 --> 00:28:55.359
your listeners, just the situation.
It kind of is like PTSD for me.
345
00:28:56.319 --> 00:28:59.640
I tried talking to a therapist about
it one time because somebody said I
346
00:28:59.640 --> 00:29:03.960
should. That therapist looked at me
like I was a psycho, you know,
347
00:29:03.400 --> 00:29:07.319
like wanted to put me in a
rubber room or something. I was
348
00:29:07.400 --> 00:29:11.960
like, what, you know,
it's like whatever. So I didn't talk
349
00:29:11.960 --> 00:29:18.599
about this stuff for years, and
you know, people would make funny It's
350
00:29:18.640 --> 00:29:22.640
like people say, oh, you're
just doing that to get attention. Yeah,
351
00:29:22.680 --> 00:29:26.920
sure, okay. I like getting
ridiculed and bullied and beat up and
352
00:29:26.039 --> 00:29:30.839
harassed, you know, Yeah,
I love that. It's a lot of
353
00:29:30.880 --> 00:29:34.720
fun. Everybody should try it.
Yeah, stupid bigfoot, right, And
354
00:29:36.319 --> 00:29:38.720
unfortunately that back in the day,
I mean, it used to not be
355
00:29:38.920 --> 00:29:42.599
like how it is right now.
But years ago, I mean, people
356
00:29:42.599 --> 00:29:45.640
would be rid of you. Still
laughing if you talk about that stuff.
357
00:29:45.680 --> 00:29:52.640
True, fair enough, But how
how old were you again when when you
358
00:29:52.720 --> 00:29:56.480
had this sighting? Seven? That's
right? Seven? I think I remember
359
00:29:56.519 --> 00:29:59.839
that from before, but I just
want to make sure it was called out
360
00:30:00.200 --> 00:30:06.680
in this one. Do you mind
sharing for context? So the Hood River
361
00:30:06.799 --> 00:30:11.599
is a pretty long river. Do
you was it near like maybe a certain
362
00:30:11.759 --> 00:30:18.079
town that this took place, or
for area context or I don't know if
363
00:30:18.079 --> 00:30:22.839
you can share that. Yeah?
Sure, Hood River is near like Odell
364
00:30:23.400 --> 00:30:33.839
the Dallas. It's about two and
a half hours. I think it's either
365
00:30:33.200 --> 00:30:38.279
east or west of Portland. I
can't remember. I apologize, but Portland
366
00:30:38.359 --> 00:30:44.240
is probably the nearest big city to
where it is. Hood River when I
367
00:30:44.319 --> 00:30:48.079
was a kid, was a small
town and it was, you know,
368
00:30:49.039 --> 00:30:56.920
not too far from Mount Hood.
You could probably get to Mount Hood probably
369
00:30:56.920 --> 00:31:02.839
about an hour from where we lived
in the Hood River. Okay, that
370
00:31:02.880 --> 00:31:06.200
helps, I was I was a
bit confused, but I looked at a
371
00:31:06.240 --> 00:31:11.720
map and I became unconfused. I
was thinking of the Columbia River. Hood
372
00:31:11.799 --> 00:31:15.160
River is the name of the town
Columbia, Hood River of the town.
373
00:31:15.640 --> 00:31:21.279
The Columbia River is right near Hood
River. Who were actually the city of
374
00:31:21.279 --> 00:31:26.559
Hood River. The spalling part of
it actually is on the Columbia River,
375
00:31:26.640 --> 00:31:30.119
the lower part of the city.
We'll be back with more big Foot society
376
00:31:30.200 --> 00:31:41.039
after these words from our sponsors.
Wow. And back then you're saying it
377
00:31:41.119 --> 00:31:52.759
was it was a pretty unpopulated area. Well, my grandpa owned about oh
378
00:31:52.839 --> 00:31:56.519
gosh, what was about one hundred
acres? Oh wow? At one time
379
00:31:56.640 --> 00:32:01.799
he sold a lot of it off. But yeah, we had a lot
380
00:32:01.839 --> 00:32:07.359
of forest on our land. And
now I will tell you I never saw
381
00:32:07.400 --> 00:32:10.960
that bigfoot again. I can tell
you the Hood River, I found out
382
00:32:12.079 --> 00:32:17.319
years later, has a long history
of bigfoot. The Hood River Gazette has
383
00:32:17.440 --> 00:32:22.400
reported on bigfoot sightings for years before
I was born. And plus, if
384
00:32:22.480 --> 00:32:25.839
you talk to Native Americans who live
in that area, they'll tell you straight
385
00:32:25.920 --> 00:32:32.559
up that they've been seeing bigfoot for
centuries before even Europeans came or settlers or
386
00:32:32.599 --> 00:32:38.160
any of that. And they said
that the bigfoot out there would like if
387
00:32:38.200 --> 00:32:43.720
the Natives were out fishing, or
they would do like these nets, kind
388
00:32:43.720 --> 00:32:47.559
of like dip nets in Alaska kind
of thing. But they do those nets,
389
00:32:47.599 --> 00:32:52.319
and the bigfoot would come out and
grab the nets or all over their
390
00:32:52.319 --> 00:32:57.119
shoulders and walk back in the woods, and you know, it's just this
391
00:32:58.599 --> 00:33:00.960
bigfoot are so crazy. I mean, they're just they're goofy. I mean,
392
00:33:01.440 --> 00:33:08.759
you can't really predict or expect them
to do certain things. I don't
393
00:33:08.799 --> 00:33:14.839
know, They're just weird. They
are their own people, and I don't
394
00:33:14.880 --> 00:33:21.720
know whatever in any of those reports, did you ever see anyone else seeing
395
00:33:22.480 --> 00:33:24.839
a white one in that area like
you had seen or do you think that
396
00:33:25.039 --> 00:33:34.079
was a pretty rare occurrence? If
it helps. I talked to Peter Burne
397
00:33:35.119 --> 00:33:39.480
and he said that he'd never heard
of an albino bigfoot that I like what
398
00:33:39.640 --> 00:33:45.400
I described, And I actually met
him through Ray Crow of the Western Bigfoot
399
00:33:45.480 --> 00:33:52.000
Society at the time, it was
called the Western Bigfoot Society. I met
400
00:33:52.079 --> 00:33:55.279
him. I met Renee de Hindon, John Green, and a bunch of
401
00:33:55.279 --> 00:34:00.680
the other old bigfooters old timer's,
and Peter burn actually told me that he
402
00:34:00.799 --> 00:34:06.759
believed my story simply because of the
description I gave him. He said that
403
00:34:07.440 --> 00:34:10.360
when I told him that the eyes
were real small and set close together,
404
00:34:12.320 --> 00:34:15.840
he told me, he said,
you don't sound like a well educated person.
405
00:34:15.880 --> 00:34:16.719
He said, I'm not trying to
be rude, you know. He
406
00:34:16.719 --> 00:34:20.719
had a British accent. He's like, I'm not trying to be rude,
407
00:34:20.760 --> 00:34:23.480
but you know kind of thing.
He said, you don't sound like a
408
00:34:23.519 --> 00:34:28.119
well educated person who would know that
kind of a detail. But he said,
409
00:34:28.119 --> 00:34:31.079
as an educated person myself, he
said, I can tell you that
410
00:34:31.280 --> 00:34:37.239
one of the traits of albinos is
to have around small eyes that are set
411
00:34:37.280 --> 00:34:43.679
close together. And he said,
that's an inbreeding trade. And this is
412
00:34:43.679 --> 00:34:45.440
what he said. I don't know
if it's true. I'm just telling you
413
00:34:45.519 --> 00:34:50.280
what the man said. I'm not
a doctor, I'm not a primatologist.
414
00:34:50.320 --> 00:34:52.679
I don't really know anything about that
kind of stuff outside of the world of
415
00:34:52.719 --> 00:34:57.320
Bigfoot. But that's what Peter Burn
told me, and he said he would
416
00:34:57.480 --> 00:35:05.400
he would label my sighting as a
class A simply for that detail. And
417
00:35:05.599 --> 00:35:12.159
you know, plus, I don't
know, man, how how long ago
418
00:35:12.280 --> 00:35:16.800
was it that you were able to
meet all those gentlemen Peter Burn? This
419
00:35:16.880 --> 00:35:27.360
was in the This was like late
eighties, early nineties. Okay, okay,
420
00:35:29.039 --> 00:35:34.039
wow that yeah. I was thinking
it would have been the around the
421
00:35:34.079 --> 00:35:38.920
early nineties by interviews I've had in
the past. Did you ever meet a
422
00:35:38.960 --> 00:35:44.639
gentleman named Henry Franzoni. I did
not know. Okay, yeah, he
423
00:35:44.679 --> 00:35:47.400
would have been, not that I
know of. He would have been late
424
00:35:47.519 --> 00:35:52.559
night, mid to late nineties.
He started hanging out with Peter burn I
425
00:35:52.639 --> 00:35:58.360
just talked to him a few days
ago. But hm, so did you
426
00:35:58.400 --> 00:36:01.840
actually talk to Renee and didn't face
to face or was it like over the
427
00:36:01.840 --> 00:36:05.280
phone things? Yeah? No,
no, no, I talked to him
428
00:36:05.280 --> 00:36:10.760
face to face. He was at
a big Foot Days Daze in Washington State
429
00:36:10.800 --> 00:36:15.960
that I attended in the early nineties. I think it was like ninety one,
430
00:36:16.239 --> 00:36:22.360
ninety two, maybe I don't remember. It was sometime around then,
431
00:36:22.880 --> 00:36:25.079
and Ray Crow of the Western Bigfoot
Society was a part of that. He
432
00:36:25.119 --> 00:36:29.639
had helped set it up, and
Renee to Hendon was there and I got
433
00:36:29.639 --> 00:36:32.239
to ask him like a whole bunch
of questions. And that was a salty
434
00:36:32.280 --> 00:36:37.679
old boy. I'll tell you what. He was no frigging nonsense at all.
435
00:36:38.239 --> 00:36:44.559
He had no use for people who
were telling stories or whatever. He
436
00:36:44.760 --> 00:36:49.719
was very blunt and very direct.
And I will tell people, don't meet
437
00:36:49.760 --> 00:36:54.800
your heroes because sometimes they're a lot
different in real life how you think they
438
00:36:54.920 --> 00:36:59.480
see. I liked him, but
I mean, he was just you know,
439
00:36:59.559 --> 00:37:02.639
if he thought somebody was bsing and
he had a really strong, like
440
00:37:02.760 --> 00:37:07.079
French Canadian accent, he'd start dogging
them, you know, and he'd start
441
00:37:07.159 --> 00:37:14.280
like cursing them in French and stuff. Oh absolutely, absolutely, Like Renee,
442
00:37:14.360 --> 00:37:16.039
Renee, you know, his friends
who knew what he was saying,
443
00:37:16.119 --> 00:37:19.519
was like, Ray, Renee,
calm down, it's not that deep,
444
00:37:19.639 --> 00:37:22.480
you know, take it easy,
take it easy, take a rith.
445
00:37:22.519 --> 00:37:24.079
And he's like, here he's fucking
people. They don't know what the hell
446
00:37:24.119 --> 00:37:31.760
they're talking about. He was so
funny. One guy was telling stories and
447
00:37:31.800 --> 00:37:43.920
he was talking about Bigfoot, was
like an interdimensional psychic UFO not And Renee
448
00:37:43.920 --> 00:37:45.920
looked at him and he goes,
this guy is full of shit, yes,
449
00:37:46.119 --> 00:37:51.239
stupid. He doesn't know anything at
Paul, you know. And then
450
00:37:51.239 --> 00:37:53.960
he starts talking in French about him. And I'm like, I don't know
451
00:37:54.000 --> 00:37:58.199
what he said. I don't speak
French, but I know it didn't sound
452
00:37:58.320 --> 00:38:01.400
very nice. I know, people
who knew what he was saying or turning
453
00:38:01.440 --> 00:38:07.039
bright red. Yeah, he was
like he had no use for people saying
454
00:38:07.079 --> 00:38:10.320
they puts the psychic, interdimensional UFO
or not. He was like, it's
455
00:38:10.320 --> 00:38:15.960
a fucking ape in it right.
It just had this really weird way of
456
00:38:15.119 --> 00:38:20.719
talking, but he was so funny. He was just absolutely hilarious. And
457
00:38:20.840 --> 00:38:24.719
listeners will think that might be like
an exaggeration, but it's not. If
458
00:38:24.800 --> 00:38:30.400
you go to the Sasquatch Archives YouTube
channel, you can watch the video of
459
00:38:30.440 --> 00:38:35.239
Renee talking exactly like that. Oh
yeah, dude, have you you never
460
00:38:35.280 --> 00:38:37.559
been there? Oh my goodness,
you're gonna love it. So it's like
461
00:38:37.679 --> 00:38:43.679
all these people have sent in their
old VHS tapes of these old conferences from
462
00:38:43.679 --> 00:38:50.800
the nineties and stuff to this guy
in calf sorry, this guy in Canada
463
00:38:50.880 --> 00:38:54.360
named Todd Prescott, and he's put
him on this YouTube channel called Sasquatch Archives
464
00:38:54.400 --> 00:38:57.920
and it's going to change your life. You'll love it. So really,
465
00:38:58.000 --> 00:39:01.079
yeah, check it out later.
I really did not even know about that
466
00:39:01.079 --> 00:39:06.480
that conference that you went to might
actually even be on there. There's some
467
00:39:06.559 --> 00:39:09.960
really really I would love that stuff. So I would love that. You
468
00:39:09.960 --> 00:39:17.199
can see Renee de Hinden going up
against doctor Meldrum when they were when Doctor
469
00:39:17.239 --> 00:39:22.679
melgam was a lot younger, of
course, mustache only, but just it's
470
00:39:22.760 --> 00:39:25.760
it's it's a wild trip. So
definitely check that out. I'll try to
471
00:39:25.800 --> 00:39:29.840
remember to put that in the show
notes as well. But did you go
472
00:39:29.920 --> 00:39:32.239
to any other Bigfoot conferences or anything, or was that the main one that
473
00:39:32.320 --> 00:39:39.840
you went to. That's that's really
Ray Crew had a lot of stuff at
474
00:39:39.840 --> 00:39:45.440
his Western big Foot Society. We
used to meet there every once in a
475
00:39:45.440 --> 00:39:50.719
while, and he had different people
come out there. I wasn't always able
476
00:39:50.760 --> 00:39:53.199
to attend because at the time I
was working a lot, But when I
477
00:39:53.199 --> 00:39:59.760
could attend, he had John Green
out there one time, and John Green
478
00:39:59.800 --> 00:40:01.480
let me, I tell you that
guy knows Bigfoot in and out. Sure,
479
00:40:04.280 --> 00:40:07.719
yeah, he is a He was
really like an encyclopedia. I think
480
00:40:07.800 --> 00:40:12.800
him passing away was a huge loss
to the Bigfoot community because he took like
481
00:40:13.079 --> 00:40:17.760
really detailed notes on people. And
I was actually able to talk to him
482
00:40:17.760 --> 00:40:22.360
about Albert Ausman because I asked him
straight up. I said, do you
483
00:40:22.360 --> 00:40:25.280
think that guy was full of crap? And he goes no, he said,
484
00:40:25.400 --> 00:40:30.000
I've known Albert for years and he
was a very he had a very
485
00:40:30.079 --> 00:40:35.159
quiet way of talking, you know
what I mean. And he was like,
486
00:40:35.400 --> 00:40:37.840
no, he says, I've known
him for years. I've known him
487
00:40:37.880 --> 00:40:43.280
for years back then, and he
said his story never changed even to the
488
00:40:43.360 --> 00:40:46.719
day he died. He said he
never recanted the story and he always told
489
00:40:46.760 --> 00:40:51.280
it the same. He said it
never varied or changed in any way.
490
00:40:52.159 --> 00:40:54.280
If he didn't know something, if
somebody asked him a question, he'd tell
491
00:40:54.320 --> 00:40:58.519
him he didn't know it. He
said. He was just real straightforward.
492
00:40:59.519 --> 00:41:04.280
And Uh, I don't know.
I always admired the older bigfooters, you
493
00:41:04.320 --> 00:41:09.880
know, like like Renee John Green. Uh, you know and some of
494
00:41:09.880 --> 00:41:15.840
the others out there. That's that's
incredible. So you actually would go to
495
00:41:15.920 --> 00:41:21.960
the meetings and attend those when you
could, Yes, Wow, that's awesome.
496
00:41:22.039 --> 00:41:25.000
Do you remember any of the other
people that would that you remember from
497
00:41:25.159 --> 00:41:34.599
being in attendance as well? Or
I heard that James Bobo Fey went there
498
00:41:34.679 --> 00:41:37.760
once. I did not. I
was not able to be there when he
499
00:41:37.800 --> 00:41:43.159
did. But I guess he knew
Ray Crow and he knew I guess according
500
00:41:43.199 --> 00:41:45.440
to Ray it was a really great
meeting. He put it in his He
501
00:41:45.519 --> 00:41:52.639
had this this newsletter he put out
called The Track right, and uh,
502
00:41:53.519 --> 00:41:58.400
I guess Bobo was featured in there
or something, or he talked about him
503
00:41:58.400 --> 00:42:00.199
and what he said, and I
guess it was like really he said it
504
00:42:00.239 --> 00:42:04.719
was not only entertaining. He said, the guy just was like a bigfoot
505
00:42:05.119 --> 00:42:07.679
sponge, you know what I mean. That's how Ray described him. He
506
00:42:07.679 --> 00:42:13.440
said he knew about bigfoot in and
out, and you know, he knew
507
00:42:13.519 --> 00:42:16.920
Native American stuff. He knew stuff
that scientists said, and he said that
508
00:42:16.960 --> 00:42:22.599
Bobo was He said that Bobo was
really smart. He said, a lot
509
00:42:22.599 --> 00:42:25.239
of people here him talk and they
think, oh, he's just this fake
510
00:42:25.320 --> 00:42:30.079
dumb guy. He said, no, he's actually highly educated and he's really
511
00:42:30.119 --> 00:42:37.519
intelligent. Yeah, yeah, And
he said that he he was just like
512
00:42:37.639 --> 00:42:44.440
an encyclopedia. And I don't know, I really wish I could have met
513
00:42:44.440 --> 00:42:49.480
Bobo. He's he's kind of a
hero to me too. Him and Cliff
514
00:42:49.559 --> 00:42:52.480
Merrickman. I've never had the chance
to meet either one of them. I
515
00:42:52.519 --> 00:42:59.400
would like to because they did have
They did have a meeting that Ray went
516
00:42:59.480 --> 00:43:02.360
to that in another place, I
do not remember where it was where they
517
00:43:02.360 --> 00:43:06.440
had Bob Gimblin and I had wanted
to go so bad that I had to
518
00:43:06.480 --> 00:43:08.519
work and I could not get time
off from Mark at the time because we
519
00:43:08.519 --> 00:43:14.719
were shorthanded. Sure, I really
would love to meet Bob Gimlin, just
520
00:43:16.480 --> 00:43:20.519
because he's like a superstar, you
know what I mean, in the Big
521
00:43:20.559 --> 00:43:25.119
four world. And he was a
hero to me growing up because he's never
522
00:43:25.239 --> 00:43:30.679
recanted his story, not once,
and when he tells the story, he
523
00:43:30.760 --> 00:43:35.199
tells it the same way, you
know. And Bob seems to me to
524
00:43:35.199 --> 00:43:37.599
be the type of guy when I've
seen him on interviews on TV just seems
525
00:43:37.639 --> 00:43:43.159
to be real open and real honest. And I would love to meet him.
526
00:43:43.559 --> 00:43:45.639
I really would, just just to
thank him for what he did and
527
00:43:46.440 --> 00:43:55.039
stuff like that. I've never heard
anyone say that he is not a genuine
528
00:43:55.119 --> 00:44:00.559
person. I mean, you're absolutely
right. He keeps to his story and
529
00:44:01.760 --> 00:44:06.360
its just it doesn't deviate, you
know, It's just it's he's just one
530
00:44:06.400 --> 00:44:09.559
of the coolest guys I've I've not
met him yet and maybe never will.
531
00:44:10.159 --> 00:44:14.639
He just I believe he just had
his I want to say, his ninety
532
00:44:14.719 --> 00:44:22.079
somethings birthday is It's incredible. He's
one of the last last individuals. But
533
00:44:22.239 --> 00:44:27.280
wow, that's a I did not
know that you had those connections. That's
534
00:44:27.320 --> 00:44:30.280
that's very cool, Alex. The
last one of the last times we had
535
00:44:30.280 --> 00:44:37.480
talked, you know, we talked
about Alaska, and that's a fantastic episode
536
00:44:37.559 --> 00:44:42.320
listeners. If you haven't heard the
Prince of Wales Island episode, I'll have
537
00:44:42.400 --> 00:44:45.960
it lengthd you need to check that
out. But you'd mentioned there might be
538
00:44:45.000 --> 00:44:52.239
a follow up trip at one point. Has that happened or or anything of
539
00:44:52.280 --> 00:44:55.559
that. My wife was able to
go there, I unfortunately was not.
540
00:44:55.840 --> 00:45:01.159
Okay, I'm on oxygenery. Sure, Unfortunately, Sure, I don't have
541
00:45:01.280 --> 00:45:09.199
like a small oxygen concentrator and so
you can't fly with the oxygen the metal
542
00:45:09.199 --> 00:45:14.880
oxygen tanks I have, gotcha,
it doesn't allow that, so gotcha.
543
00:45:15.760 --> 00:45:21.360
I am in the process of trying
to get a small portable oxygen concentrator and
544
00:45:21.400 --> 00:45:24.280
then I will be able to fly
again. We'll be back with more big
545
00:45:24.320 --> 00:45:32.079
Foot Society after these words from our
sponsors. We will go up there.
546
00:45:32.119 --> 00:45:37.599
But if I ever do, I
will definitely make sure I document everything this
547
00:45:37.760 --> 00:45:44.000
time. So, but yeah,
I know that hasn't happened for me yet.
548
00:45:44.079 --> 00:45:52.880
Unfortunately, there's some questions that I've
I've started to ask just because as
549
00:45:53.000 --> 00:46:00.440
as you do more and more episodes, you kind of pick up on on
550
00:46:00.639 --> 00:46:05.920
stuff and I'm just I'm just gonna
throw some out just to see throw I'm
551
00:46:05.920 --> 00:46:09.679
throwing them out to everyone to see
if it sticks, because there's some interesting
552
00:46:10.000 --> 00:46:16.480
side storylines. One of one of
them is did you ever have any interactions
553
00:46:16.599 --> 00:46:24.480
or hear anything about Bigfoot or Sasquatch
in the near Oregon area. I actually
554
00:46:24.519 --> 00:46:30.719
lived in Saint Helens, which is
not far from where near Okay. Yeah,
555
00:46:30.039 --> 00:46:37.079
I lived in Saint Helens for about
four or five years when I was
556
00:46:37.119 --> 00:46:45.599
a boy, and uh, yeah, I heard stories about it a lot
557
00:46:45.639 --> 00:46:52.760
of times back in the eighties when
I lived there. Uh that stuff wasn't
558
00:46:52.760 --> 00:46:57.880
really talked about because if you tried
to talk about it, people would like
559
00:46:57.920 --> 00:47:02.119
bully you and harass you. I
did make the mistake one time of sharing
560
00:47:02.159 --> 00:47:07.599
that I had seen Bigfoot, and
I got bullied and harassed so bad that
561
00:47:07.639 --> 00:47:13.679
I started getting like migraines and headaches
and getting ulcers and getting like physically sick.
562
00:47:14.480 --> 00:47:17.239
So yeah, and Saint Helen's and
Saint Helen's and Rainier probably wasn't a
563
00:47:17.360 --> 00:47:22.079
really good idea back then to be
talking about Bigfoot because the people out there
564
00:47:22.119 --> 00:47:25.920
were real, no nonsense people and
they didn't want to hear about stuff like
565
00:47:27.000 --> 00:47:32.519
that. In the Bible, it
doesn't exist mention of Bigfoot anywhere in the
566
00:47:32.559 --> 00:47:37.519
Bible, therefore it can't be real. The comments are going to be ripping
567
00:47:37.840 --> 00:47:39.920
today. This is great. The
YouTube comments are going to be rock and
568
00:47:39.960 --> 00:47:44.320
I love it. Well, I'll
tell you what. They can get mad
569
00:47:44.440 --> 00:47:46.280
or whatever. I'm telling you what
the people told me. I know,
570
00:47:46.559 --> 00:47:51.079
I'm not saying you know that I
don't believe the Bible or any of that.
571
00:47:51.679 --> 00:47:53.800
I'm telling you what they told me. Absolutely. You know, if
572
00:47:53.840 --> 00:47:57.599
people want to get hurt about it, they can get hurt. But yeah,
573
00:47:57.920 --> 00:48:00.920
that's those people saying that that isn't
something I'm telling them. That's what
574
00:48:01.079 --> 00:48:07.519
was told to me when I was
getting my ass whooped by these punk kids
575
00:48:07.519 --> 00:48:13.519
who were bullying me. That's terrible. So you know, I uh,
576
00:48:13.679 --> 00:48:16.239
you know, people can get as
hot as they want about that, because
577
00:48:16.280 --> 00:48:20.639
I know when you talk about the
Bible, if you say anything that isn't
578
00:48:20.800 --> 00:48:23.400
just glowing and positive, these people
freak out. But you know, it's
579
00:48:23.440 --> 00:48:28.119
like, look, it is what
it is. There's jerks in Christianity.
580
00:48:28.159 --> 00:48:30.800
If you can't deal with that,
shut up, get out, move on,
581
00:48:31.800 --> 00:48:36.559
because you know, if you can't
realize there's jerks in every religion and
582
00:48:36.719 --> 00:48:39.719
non religion, jerks are a way
of life. It is what it is.
583
00:48:39.960 --> 00:48:43.559
It can either accept it, get
over it, and move on,
584
00:48:44.360 --> 00:48:47.000
or you can cry about it and
get angry. It's your choice. Absolutely,
585
00:48:47.039 --> 00:48:50.960
I choose not to be angry.
It's all how you react to it,
586
00:48:51.039 --> 00:48:59.400
for sure. Next one is kind
of a curve curveball. But I
587
00:48:59.440 --> 00:49:04.400
know that We've talked about some other
topics as well. There's another episode where
588
00:49:04.400 --> 00:49:12.480
we talked about uh you skin walk
or interaction and seeing a weird individual on
589
00:49:12.519 --> 00:49:15.280
the side of the road once I
was down the Southwest, I believe.
590
00:49:15.320 --> 00:49:24.639
But at any point have you heard
of people seeing what looks to be like
591
00:49:24.880 --> 00:49:38.320
a a hyena, like a h
like from Africa. Yeah, I can't
592
00:49:38.360 --> 00:49:42.960
say. I've never heard that,
all right. I've heard stories of the
593
00:49:43.079 --> 00:49:46.119
troop oficbre that they kind of describe
it as being like a koi wolf or
594
00:49:46.119 --> 00:49:51.599
a dog or something, But I've
never heard of anybody saying they saw a
595
00:49:51.719 --> 00:49:58.639
hyena. Keep keep your ears out. It's a it's a weird thing that
596
00:49:59.119 --> 00:50:05.480
is starting to to more people are
starting to come forward with stuff just because
597
00:50:05.519 --> 00:50:09.400
it's it's being talked about. Specifically
on a podcast called Cryptis of the Korn,
598
00:50:09.480 --> 00:50:14.840
they did a really interesting episode about
North America. Yeah, it's a
599
00:50:14.880 --> 00:50:17.480
great dude, it's a great podcast. It's it's like, if you like
600
00:50:20.280 --> 00:50:24.000
they talk about cryptis, but they
also are biology guys, so they know
601
00:50:24.039 --> 00:50:29.760
a lot about the animal kingdom.
So it's a great combination. In their
602
00:50:29.880 --> 00:50:36.280
episode about hyenas being seen, and
that's probably when people see dog Man,
603
00:50:37.159 --> 00:50:43.960
they're actually seeing potentially a North American
hyena. It's it's it'll mess with your
604
00:50:43.960 --> 00:50:52.119
head for sure. But yeah,
that that is that is unusual. But
605
00:50:52.440 --> 00:50:57.679
I've heard weird stories about other stuff, so I can discount that exactly.
606
00:50:59.559 --> 00:51:05.559
You have asolutely have over the years, and people that might remember the episode
607
00:51:05.559 --> 00:51:10.400
in Alaska you were involved with the
Salvation Army. I believe you were a
608
00:51:10.480 --> 00:51:20.280
minister with them, correct, that
is correct? Yes, Yeah, in
609
00:51:20.320 --> 00:51:24.760
your years of being involved with them, was there ever a time where you
610
00:51:24.880 --> 00:51:35.920
experienced something so weird that it almost
made you walk away or it just really
611
00:51:36.639 --> 00:51:45.920
knocked you back a bit? That's
unusual. What do you mean by weird?
612
00:51:45.960 --> 00:51:54.280
Well, you know, if you're
really into you know, let's say
613
00:51:54.320 --> 00:52:00.960
you're involved in the ministry and you're
really doing the work of the Lord,
614
00:52:01.280 --> 00:52:06.440
you're going to come up against some
opposition, right, and you might encounter
615
00:52:06.599 --> 00:52:09.760
some some weird, out of the
ordinary things. Was there ever a time
616
00:52:09.800 --> 00:52:15.280
where like you really came up against
some stuff that was like, You're like,
617
00:52:15.320 --> 00:52:19.800
I don't know what's going on here, and I'm not really sure how
618
00:52:19.800 --> 00:52:29.599
to deal with this one. Yes, when about Okay, this is a
619
00:52:29.679 --> 00:52:32.480
real crazy story, and people can
write it off, disbelieve it. I
620
00:52:32.519 --> 00:52:39.159
really don't care, all right.
When I was saying clawk, a lady
621
00:52:39.199 --> 00:52:44.159
called my wife and I over to
the house and invited us to dinner.
622
00:52:44.199 --> 00:52:51.960
And we're over there eating and then
after we get done, she says to
623
00:52:52.039 --> 00:52:57.320
me, she was like, well, pastor, she was like, uh,
624
00:52:58.800 --> 00:53:01.320
she says, I don't want you
to think I'm crazy. And I'm
625
00:53:01.360 --> 00:53:08.360
like okay. And she was like, but there's like a weird ghost upstairs
626
00:53:08.360 --> 00:53:12.920
in my room and it bothers me
at night. And she was like.
627
00:53:13.159 --> 00:53:17.840
I was like, okay, I'm
a pastor and I know the Bible.
628
00:53:17.960 --> 00:53:24.079
I understand all that, and I
understand there's spirits and whatnot. I had
629
00:53:24.119 --> 00:53:30.360
no idea what to do, had
a clue, not a ghostbuster, not
630
00:53:30.440 --> 00:53:37.599
a demon person, not any ect. I'm a new pastor, and like
631
00:53:38.480 --> 00:53:43.519
she wants me to go upstairs and
make the ghost go away, so I
632
00:53:43.639 --> 00:53:51.719
can go upstairs. And I just
afraid and asked God to put it out.
633
00:53:51.760 --> 00:54:00.679
And you know, I have to
tell you that that whole room was
634
00:54:00.760 --> 00:54:05.480
like ice cold. It was hot
outside and that room was ice cold,
635
00:54:05.480 --> 00:54:14.159
and it was dark, and it
was just really weird up there. The
636
00:54:14.199 --> 00:54:16.079
rest of her house was fine and
no problem. It was only when I
637
00:54:16.119 --> 00:54:22.280
went upstairs to her bedroom and the
upstairs loft area that there was a problem.
638
00:54:23.119 --> 00:54:30.760
And so my wife got out her
Bible and she read Psalm ninety one,
639
00:54:30.840 --> 00:54:37.920
which is the som they call it
the Psalm of spiritual warfare. And
640
00:54:37.960 --> 00:54:44.400
as soon as she started reading that, the ice cold all of that it
641
00:54:44.599 --> 00:54:51.360
like went away. And the lady
told us later that she was able to
642
00:54:51.360 --> 00:54:58.760
sleep peacefully in the room after that. Now, can I tell you that
643
00:54:58.880 --> 00:55:02.400
was the spirit? I don't know. I don't know. I can tell
644
00:55:02.440 --> 00:55:13.559
you it was weird. It's weird. Uh was just to this day ever
645
00:55:13.599 --> 00:55:17.320
since I did that, I'm the
demon guy. Whenever somebody just goest trouble
646
00:55:17.360 --> 00:55:21.639
in Klok, they called me up
and asked me what they should do.
647
00:55:21.719 --> 00:55:24.960
So I actually had to study.
You thought that stuff. I could tell
648
00:55:25.000 --> 00:55:30.079
them and it's like, I don't
know, you know that that's really weird,
649
00:55:30.119 --> 00:55:34.519
And I'm sorry. You probably weren't
even asking about that. They're probably
650
00:55:34.559 --> 00:55:38.280
asking about something like bigfoot or whatever. But I've heard so many crazy stories
651
00:55:38.280 --> 00:55:45.880
and seeing weird stuffing in Klok and
the surrounding area that there's been reports up
652
00:55:45.920 --> 00:55:54.280
there of UFOs, actual UFOs.
They had a I guess a plane that
653
00:55:54.400 --> 00:56:02.119
was traveling here. It was a
small aircraft like, uh, what do
654
00:56:02.159 --> 00:56:07.639
they call those the ones that have
the float floatation devices on? Yeah,
655
00:56:07.719 --> 00:56:10.840
yeah, floatplanes. Yeah. I
guess they were flying to catch a can
656
00:56:10.920 --> 00:56:15.000
from Klok and they got like shot
a UFO shot by. It was a
657
00:56:15.159 --> 00:56:21.199
large silver object and it passed them
like they were standing still. And they
658
00:56:21.199 --> 00:56:27.280
said it had no visible means of
propulsion. They said it had no sound,
659
00:56:27.719 --> 00:56:32.320
nothing, and they said it was
just the craziest looking thing. And
660
00:56:32.320 --> 00:56:37.000
they said it was about the size
of a football field. It was.
661
00:56:37.159 --> 00:56:43.280
It was really good sized. And
I said they only saw it for a
662
00:56:43.320 --> 00:56:46.719
second and that passed by, uh, and it was just it was out
663
00:56:46.719 --> 00:56:51.159
of sight in like a second.
And they said it was flying real crazy.
664
00:56:51.800 --> 00:56:54.679
They said it like shoot up at
like a ninety degree angle from going
665
00:56:54.719 --> 00:57:00.840
straight and like took off up into
the air and flew off and they never
666
00:57:00.880 --> 00:57:05.320
saw it again. But yeah,
there's there's been a lot of weird stuff
667
00:57:05.320 --> 00:57:10.159
around Alaska that people have talked about. That's just bizarrow. Now. I've
668
00:57:10.199 --> 00:57:15.519
never seen a UFO, so I
can't say anything about that, but I
669
00:57:15.559 --> 00:57:19.159
do know people who have seen them, and they're they're real serious about it,
670
00:57:19.239 --> 00:57:23.360
and I believe them. I don't
know if that's what you're asking about.
671
00:57:23.400 --> 00:57:29.800
I'm sorry, No, that's that's
exactly when you were up there.
672
00:57:29.840 --> 00:57:35.280
Did you ever run into any situations
where people would say they heard like baby
673
00:57:35.360 --> 00:57:39.519
cries in the woods? God,
Yes, yeah, the kushta Ka do
674
00:57:39.679 --> 00:57:44.840
that crap. According to the Clinkets, and the Height has said that their
675
00:57:44.960 --> 00:57:49.199
version of the kushta Ka does the
same thing. It makes baby cries,
676
00:57:49.440 --> 00:57:53.079
and what it's trying to do is
lure you into the woods. And when
677
00:57:53.079 --> 00:57:57.719
I say kushta Ka, I mean
the shape shifting evil spirit. I don't
678
00:57:57.760 --> 00:58:02.000
mean Bigfoot. Some people think Bigfoot
is Scoushtaka. But from what I've studied
679
00:58:02.000 --> 00:58:07.360
since I left Klok, the majority
of Clanket people that i've talked to believe
680
00:58:07.400 --> 00:58:13.719
that it's an evil spirit, a
shape shifter, not a Bigfoot, and
681
00:58:13.760 --> 00:58:19.280
so they said that they do that. And then I've heard reports from the
682
00:58:19.519 --> 00:58:27.239
lower forty eight of Bigfoot doing that
and making that kind of sound and like
683
00:58:29.800 --> 00:58:32.760
trying to lure people into the forest, and if the people go and follow
684
00:58:32.800 --> 00:58:39.159
that, they disappear and nobody ever
hears from them. Again. Now I
685
00:58:39.199 --> 00:58:45.480
have heard that. Yes, I've
not personally heard the crying or anything like
686
00:58:45.559 --> 00:58:49.679
that, thank goodness, because that
would scare the hell out of me.
687
00:58:50.400 --> 00:58:53.519
But I've heard people say, people
I know real well, people who aren't
688
00:58:53.559 --> 00:59:01.119
liars, say that they've heard that. I'm not sure how I would I
689
00:59:01.119 --> 00:59:07.000
would react to that either that I've
thankfully never heard that. I've never really
690
00:59:07.039 --> 00:59:13.119
heard that come up in Iowa ever, but it's a possibility I could hear
691
00:59:13.280 --> 00:59:19.280
someday, but something that's come up. I've talked to a few individuals from
692
00:59:19.280 --> 00:59:25.639
Alaska since we last talked, when
you were up there or you know,
693
00:59:25.760 --> 00:59:30.840
talking to people out there. Did
stories of giants ever come up at all?
694
00:59:30.480 --> 00:59:35.440
Yeah? Six toed giants. Yes, is that something you can elaborate
695
00:59:35.480 --> 00:59:40.639
on? Yes? Absolutely, all
right, you pick people We're seeing them
696
00:59:40.679 --> 00:59:46.239
for years. They said that the
giants hunted mammoths all the way up to
697
00:59:46.320 --> 00:59:53.000
the twenties. They said, these
gigantic six toed things, and they were
698
00:59:53.039 --> 01:00:02.360
gigantic, but they're not exactly like
Bigfoot from the and I've heard they're just
699
01:00:02.559 --> 01:00:07.320
they're like when I say giant,
I don't mean like ten or twelve feet.
700
01:00:07.320 --> 01:00:12.239
We'll be back with more big Foot
society after these words from our sponsors,
701
01:00:15.199 --> 01:00:22.199
I mean like a lot taller than
that. And from what I was
702
01:00:22.239 --> 01:00:29.039
told by you pick Elder, they
said that those things used to hunt mammoths.
703
01:00:30.159 --> 01:00:37.079
Wow. Was that in the southeast
or what a section of Alaska that
704
01:00:37.239 --> 01:00:43.159
was around like Barrel, Uncleat and
some other places up there? Man,
705
01:00:45.079 --> 01:00:53.079
that is wild. Do you think
there's still mammoth up there? I can't
706
01:00:53.119 --> 01:00:59.480
say there are, but I can
tell you that my grandmother, who was
707
01:00:59.639 --> 01:01:07.920
upick, said that her mom claimed
to have eaten mammoth and also had like
708
01:01:07.440 --> 01:01:16.320
ivory from dusks that were too large
to be like walrus or something like that.
709
01:01:20.519 --> 01:01:23.199
Wow. And for reference, for
you know, I wasn't familiar myself.
710
01:01:23.199 --> 01:01:27.519
I had to look it up.
But Barrow, Alaska is is if
711
01:01:27.559 --> 01:01:34.000
you imagine the very very top of
Alaska. M that's where you're at.
712
01:01:34.039 --> 01:01:39.360
So imagine the farthest north you can
get, and that's where you were having
713
01:01:39.440 --> 01:01:45.599
some uh, some mammoth sightings.
That's crazy. Wow. They say they're
714
01:01:45.639 --> 01:01:53.159
they're they're still around. But I
haven't heard anything in the last like twenty
715
01:01:53.280 --> 01:02:00.400
or thirty years, anything that was
recent of anyone seeing a mammoth. But
716
01:02:00.800 --> 01:02:06.159
some people think that they're still around. They think those six toed giants,
717
01:02:06.199 --> 01:02:08.039
some of them that I've talked to, they think they're the ones that hunted
718
01:02:08.079 --> 01:02:15.679
the mammoths to extinction. Wow,
that's where ilows to it. That's just
719
01:02:15.719 --> 01:02:20.000
what they said. I can't say
it's true. I can only tell you
720
01:02:20.079 --> 01:02:24.039
what people have told me now,
whether it's true or not. I ray
721
01:02:24.079 --> 01:02:29.920
Crow of the Western Bigfoot Society always
used to say, when you hear reports,
722
01:02:30.119 --> 01:02:36.679
always keep your skepticals on. He
called his classes as skepticals, and
723
01:02:36.760 --> 01:02:42.000
so I encourage readers, if you
hear stories, be skeptical about it.
724
01:02:42.679 --> 01:02:47.840
Check verify stuff like that as much
as you humanly can. Or if you're
725
01:02:47.880 --> 01:02:52.000
just the type of person who finds
it entertaining, you don't really care one
726
01:02:52.000 --> 01:02:53.400
way or the other. Just listen
to it, enjoy it, and move
727
01:02:53.440 --> 01:03:04.159
on. Simple. Are there any
uh? I'm sure it sounds like you've
728
01:03:04.199 --> 01:03:09.039
always been into bigfoot. I'm sure
you're you're still looking into bigfoot right now?
729
01:03:09.599 --> 01:03:15.440
Is there anything going on right now
regarding bigfoot research that really has uh,
730
01:03:15.519 --> 01:03:21.920
that has you uh interested? Or
is keeping you up at night in
731
01:03:21.960 --> 01:03:29.440
any way? In Montana? Yeah, out around Glacier National Park area.
732
01:03:29.719 --> 01:03:34.079
Okay, there's been some real crazy
stories coming out of there, really,
733
01:03:35.559 --> 01:03:44.440
yeah, like people disappearing, people
seeing Bigfoot, people seeing something else not
734
01:03:44.519 --> 01:03:52.360
a Bigfoot, something weird, maybe
like a baboon or something almost but it
735
01:03:52.400 --> 01:03:57.800
has it almost looks like a baboon, I guess, like like a I
736
01:03:57.840 --> 01:04:01.599
think it's called a gugway maybe sometimes. I don't know if you've ever heard
737
01:04:01.599 --> 01:04:06.320
about that. That's really interesting.
So are these from podcasts or where are
738
01:04:06.320 --> 01:04:12.840
you seeing these reports come? I've
actually heard them from Native people who live
739
01:04:12.880 --> 01:04:17.000
here in Montana. Really oh wow. Now, I will tell you they
740
01:04:17.000 --> 01:04:19.840
are not people who are going to
come forward with that kind of stuff because
741
01:04:19.840 --> 01:04:25.840
they don't want to lose their jobs. But they Yeah, I've heard stories
742
01:04:25.840 --> 01:04:31.320
from like my wife works for Actually, I probably better not say that.
743
01:04:33.239 --> 01:04:38.119
Yeah, let's just say she works
with the native community and the medical capacity
744
01:04:38.159 --> 01:04:41.440
and leader with that. I don't
want to get her in trouble. We
745
01:04:41.480 --> 01:04:45.599
don't want that to happen or anything
else. Yeah, I do know that
746
01:04:45.679 --> 01:04:50.119
I have personally, outside of her
employment, met people who are grower Cheyenne
747
01:04:50.440 --> 01:04:55.800
because I was listening to a big
foot show one time and I was up
748
01:04:55.840 --> 01:05:00.119
there on the res I was listening
to a big Foot show and happ I
749
01:05:00.159 --> 01:05:03.840
have my windows down because it was
hard and hades out there, and so
750
01:05:04.000 --> 01:05:10.880
I had my windows down and I
was listening to Monster Quest on my phone,
751
01:05:11.039 --> 01:05:15.039
an old episode of Monster Quest.
And one of the fellows heard me
752
01:05:15.079 --> 01:05:17.719
tell heard me listen to that,
and he comes up. He goes,
753
01:05:17.719 --> 01:05:23.000
oh, do you believe in Bigfoot. I was like, yeah, I
754
01:05:23.039 --> 01:05:25.519
believe in Bigfoot. I don't believe
in it. I know it's real.
755
01:05:26.079 --> 01:05:29.159
And he goes, how do you
know? And I told him why,
756
01:05:29.199 --> 01:05:32.519
I know because of my sighting when
I was a boy. And he looked
757
01:05:32.519 --> 01:05:34.840
at me and he goes, you
know, there's a lot of people out
758
01:05:34.880 --> 01:05:41.519
here on the reservation who've seen those
things even now. And he was telling
759
01:05:41.519 --> 01:05:46.280
me all kinds of stories about it, and it's just so weird. Like
760
01:05:47.840 --> 01:05:55.480
they've had stories of like children getting
snatched or women. They've had stories of,
761
01:05:55.719 --> 01:05:59.639
you know, people who were out
hunting disappearing and never being heard from
762
01:05:59.639 --> 01:06:10.400
again and stuff like that. Do
you remember anything, any details at all
763
01:06:10.400 --> 01:06:15.519
about what you heard regarding something that
looked like a baboon in Glacier National Park
764
01:06:15.559 --> 01:06:24.800
that was around Glacier National Park.
They said it was large, they said
765
01:06:24.840 --> 01:06:28.559
it had a tail, they said
it had a snout like a baboon,
766
01:06:30.800 --> 01:06:33.599
and they said it had weird ears, and they didn't really describe it.
767
01:06:33.639 --> 01:06:41.239
They just said it was weird,
and they said it was real, powerfully
768
01:06:41.280 --> 01:06:45.400
built. But they said that the
face of it looked like a baboon,
769
01:06:45.559 --> 01:06:48.199
not like a dog man or other
things. They said it looked more like
770
01:06:48.239 --> 01:06:54.559
a baboon. And the person I
spoke to actually was like wondering if it
771
01:06:54.599 --> 01:06:59.599
was like some kind of weird experiment
from some government facility. And I was
772
01:06:59.639 --> 01:07:03.119
like, I have no idea.
I've never heard anything like that, and
773
01:07:03.199 --> 01:07:06.639
I've heard of the dog man and
stuff like that, but they said this
774
01:07:06.840 --> 01:07:12.360
didn't look like Because I was like, what was it like a wolf like
775
01:07:12.400 --> 01:07:15.039
a dog or something, and They're
like, no, it looked like a
776
01:07:15.079 --> 01:07:18.320
baboon. It had a face like
a baboon, but it was much larger
777
01:07:18.360 --> 01:07:23.079
than a baboon, like, you
know, six feet six and a half
778
01:07:23.079 --> 01:07:27.400
feet tall, and they said it
was more powerfully built than a baboon.
779
01:07:27.440 --> 01:07:30.000
But they said the face looked just
like like if you see a picture of
780
01:07:30.039 --> 01:07:33.599
a baboon, that's what the face
and the snout looked like on it.
781
01:07:33.679 --> 01:07:39.360
And it had a tail like a
baboon. Wow, So I don't think
782
01:07:39.719 --> 01:07:45.000
I don't think it was a dog
man man. A regular sized baboon is
783
01:07:45.039 --> 01:07:48.320
a bad day, but you get
a baboon that's stronger and bigger, that's
784
01:07:48.400 --> 01:07:51.760
going to be a really bad day. And I mean, if any listeners
785
01:07:51.760 --> 01:07:59.960
have heard of a large, huge, giant baboon type cryptid in the Glacier
786
01:08:00.280 --> 01:08:03.519
National Park area of Montana, put
it in the comments, or if you
787
01:08:03.599 --> 01:08:06.679
need to, you can send me
an email at Big for Society at gmail
788
01:08:06.679 --> 01:08:12.480
dot com. But did you,
Alex, over the years, and you've
789
01:08:12.480 --> 01:08:15.479
had a lot of contact with different
types of people, did you ever have
790
01:08:15.560 --> 01:08:25.800
any reports of dog man sightings at
all? Yes, yep. I had
791
01:08:25.800 --> 01:08:30.800
a friend who was from Michigan and
he was from that area up north of
792
01:08:30.880 --> 01:08:33.680
Detroit. I cannot remember what the
name of that crazy town was he was
793
01:08:33.720 --> 01:08:39.840
from. I apologize, he told
me once, and I just I cannot
794
01:08:40.319 --> 01:08:44.000
right now remember what the name of
the town was. But they had like
795
01:08:44.119 --> 01:08:48.800
a dog man that was running around
there killing animals like dogs and cats.
796
01:08:48.880 --> 01:08:55.640
And they said it was definitely a
canid type thing, but it was it
797
01:08:55.720 --> 01:09:05.439
had hands not like pause and they
said it had like it had like see
798
01:09:05.479 --> 01:09:10.279
how do I put this look.
I'll just tell you what they said.
799
01:09:10.840 --> 01:09:14.319
You can take it however you want. Sure, you know how canines have
800
01:09:14.680 --> 01:09:18.239
the kind of bent legs, you
know what I mean, kind of weird
801
01:09:18.560 --> 01:09:24.119
back legs. They said it had
legs like that, but it had like
802
01:09:24.520 --> 01:09:27.920
on the bottom of it instead of
having like paws, it had like feet.
803
01:09:28.840 --> 01:09:30.840
But it had like a wolf tail, a wolf ears, and a
804
01:09:30.880 --> 01:09:35.479
wolf face and the snout that wolves
have. But they said it looked like
805
01:09:35.560 --> 01:09:41.520
something that was like part human or
something. And again, I can only
806
01:09:41.560 --> 01:09:45.359
tell you what they said. I
can't tell you what's reality from fiction.
807
01:09:45.199 --> 01:09:51.399
I do believe the person because when
they talked about it, they again I
808
01:09:51.520 --> 01:09:56.560
said this before on previous programs when
people have really seen something. You can
809
01:09:56.640 --> 01:10:03.039
see in their eyes the trauma of
what they experience. And that person when
810
01:10:03.039 --> 01:10:09.399
he told me that story, he
very much. He turned white. He
811
01:10:09.600 --> 01:10:13.800
was shaking. This is a really
strong, tough guy, you know what
812
01:10:13.840 --> 01:10:15.760
I mean. He's not a cry
baby, you're a fusser or whatever.
813
01:10:16.359 --> 01:10:19.279
He was really the strong, silent
type. And this dude broke down and
814
01:10:19.319 --> 01:10:25.039
started crying when you reported what he
saw. So for him to do that
815
01:10:26.520 --> 01:10:31.279
is very out of character for him. And so you know, he said,
816
01:10:31.319 --> 01:10:40.600
don't hate me or think I'm He
said, don't think I'm Oh the
817
01:10:40.760 --> 01:10:44.720
ussy And I apologize. That's just
what the man said. I'm not trying
818
01:10:44.760 --> 01:10:49.279
to be bad or disgusting. I
apologize by thinking anybody, but that's what
819
01:10:49.319 --> 01:10:51.479
he said. He said, I
don't want you thinking on that. I
820
01:10:51.520 --> 01:10:55.319
said, I've been knowing you for
a while. Dude, I know you're
821
01:10:55.359 --> 01:10:59.439
not like that. So I said, I believe you, and he's like,
822
01:10:59.520 --> 01:11:02.279
you do. It's like when I
told my f and family, they
823
01:11:02.279 --> 01:11:05.560
got all hurt, said I was
a liar and making it up, and
824
01:11:05.600 --> 01:11:11.159
I was like, people say stuff
like that because they don't want to try
825
01:11:11.159 --> 01:11:14.840
to think about or deal with in
their mind what you're discussing with them,
826
01:11:15.039 --> 01:11:19.439
because it's so outside of the realm
of what they understand, and so you
827
01:11:19.479 --> 01:11:28.279
know, they react hatefully or negatively
or or foolishly because their brains can't wrap
828
01:11:28.359 --> 01:11:34.199
around the concept that there's things outside
of what they know that exist. I
829
01:11:34.279 --> 01:11:38.319
mean, if I had a dollar
for every time somebody asked me if I
830
01:11:38.359 --> 01:11:42.079
saw a friggin bear or if it
was a dude in the first suit,
831
01:11:42.359 --> 01:11:48.239
if I had a dollar for every
time some dumb I'm sorry, I want
832
01:11:48.239 --> 01:11:53.720
to really curse when I hear people
saying like that. It's like, look,
833
01:11:54.039 --> 01:11:57.279
the Bigfoot had a flat face,
it didn't have the snout of a
834
01:11:57.279 --> 01:12:01.159
bear, didn't have the weird fur
ears on top of the head, okay,
835
01:12:01.479 --> 01:12:06.039
and it didn't look like that.
It had hands and feet not pause.
836
01:12:08.359 --> 01:12:10.560
So you know, when people tell
me it was a bear, it's
837
01:12:10.640 --> 01:12:13.880
like, I've seen every type of
bear in North America. You can show
838
01:12:13.920 --> 01:12:18.560
me either on TV or in the
zoo, or I've gone hunting and hunted
839
01:12:18.600 --> 01:12:23.319
them, so I know what a
bear looks like. I'm not a person
840
01:12:23.319 --> 01:12:27.239
who's never seen a bear. I
wasn't fifty or one hundred feet away from
841
01:12:27.319 --> 01:12:30.760
it saw something run by it.
Oh, that's a bigfoot. I saw
842
01:12:30.800 --> 01:12:34.840
this thing from three and a half
feet away. I saw exactly clearly what
843
01:12:35.000 --> 01:12:39.640
it was. When I told my
grandpa what it was, he didn't say,
844
01:12:39.640 --> 01:12:42.279
oh, the damn bears are back, or the damn guys in first
845
01:12:42.279 --> 01:12:46.239
suits are back. He said,
the damned apes are back. Yeah,
846
01:12:46.720 --> 01:12:49.560
So you know, people can make
of that whatever they want. I really
847
01:12:49.640 --> 01:12:53.720
don't care. You know, if
you want to be stupid and say I
848
01:12:53.760 --> 01:12:57.760
saw a bear, then you're a
moron because you don't know. Bears have
849
01:12:57.960 --> 01:13:01.760
snouts, ears on top of the
head, and pause off feet and hands.
850
01:13:02.600 --> 01:13:05.439
So you know, if you can't
tell the difference between that and a
851
01:13:05.520 --> 01:13:09.920
bake foot at three and a half
feet, then you're a more on And
852
01:13:09.960 --> 01:13:13.319
you don't really need to be calm
in pink. And I really doubt there's
853
01:13:13.399 --> 01:13:18.239
a massive eight foot guy in a
suit running around in nineteen seventy eight.
854
01:13:18.960 --> 01:13:25.520
Yeah, you can miss probably idiots, Probably not. Yeah, Alex,
855
01:13:25.600 --> 01:13:29.279
this has been a fun episode because
there's so many tangents we've been on that
856
01:13:29.439 --> 01:13:36.119
it will probably in a good way
that listeners will definitely get something new to
857
01:13:36.159 --> 01:13:40.199
look into from this episode. It's
been. It's been a fun one.
858
01:13:40.239 --> 01:13:43.640
It is always a fun time to
chat with you, sir, and I
859
01:13:43.680 --> 01:13:48.880
appreciate you. It was coming on
again. Anything else weird comes up,
860
01:13:49.199 --> 01:13:55.319
feel free to reach out. But
thank you so much for hanging out tonight.
861
01:13:55.359 --> 01:13:58.920
Alex. All right, Well,
God bless and you take care of
862
01:13:58.920 --> 01:14:12.079
my friend too, sir. All
right, bye bye. Here at Bigfoot
863
01:14:12.119 --> 01:14:16.319
Society, our goal is to provide
a platform for those that have encountered Bigfoot
864
01:14:16.479 --> 01:14:21.399
to share their encounter and a safe
and respected environment. But we need to
865
01:14:21.479 --> 01:14:27.600
hear your story. If you've experienced
something that you just can't explain, please

01:14:28.159 --> 01:14:33.000
send me an email at Bigfoot Society
at gmail dot com. Then we can
867
01:14:33.000 --> 01:14:38.880
start the conversation. And I know
a lot of you have not shared your
868
01:14:39.000 --> 01:14:44.079
encounter at all. It's been twenty
years and it's time that you get this
869
01:14:44.199 --> 01:14:47.279
off your chest and then you can
get some well deserved for rest because I
870
01:14:47.319 --> 01:14:53.399

understand what you're going through and I appreciate
871
01:14:53.479 --> 01:14:54.600
every one of you listening
