Two Field Workers Saw Something Pull Itself Through a Florida Swamp

A fur-covered hand rose from the swamp water. Long fingers gripped a cypress knee. Two field workers near Chipley, Florida, watched something pull itself forward—and fled through four-foot-tall grass.

The recording artist known as Shadowyze joins Jeremiah Byron to share the unexplained encounters that inspired his cryptid music. His account of a 2022 Florida survey includes a tall, blurry figure beside a tree, a sudden movement into the water, and another scare as the workers tried to finish their job.

On a West Virginia ranch, Shadowyze recalls nightly knocking against a mobile home, oversized tracks, and a flashlight glimpse of a wolf-like animal he estimated was the size of a lion. In Ocala National Forest, he describes waking to something pushing the wall of his tent inward.

From repeated wood knocks and unusual tree structures to encounters he associates with Bigfoot and Dogman, Shadowyze walks us through what he remembers—and the questions he still carries.

You're listening to Bigfoot Society, and I'm Jeremiah Byron. In

2
00:00:03.149 --> 00:00:05.809
this show, we go beyond the campfire stories to bring

3
00:00:05.849 --> 00:00:09.880

4
00:00:10.140 --> 00:00:13.720
From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers to quiet farms

5
00:00:13.839 --> 00:00:17.140
and crowded highways, the stories come from everywhere, and each

6
00:00:17.260 --> 00:00:21.089
one leaves us with more questions than answers. These are

7
00:00:21.140 --> 00:00:24.579
the voices of the people who've lived it. So settle

8
00:00:24.660 --> 00:00:27.960
in because today you'll hear another account that just might

9
00:00:28.019 --> 00:00:30.839
change the way you see the woods forever. So stay

10
00:00:30.859 --> 00:00:33.479
with us. Please keep Jeremiah in your prayers as he

11
00:00:33.520 --> 00:00:37.810
continues his fight against cancer. For more updates about his

12
00:00:37.869 --> 00:00:41.689
medical journey, please go to the CaringBridge link in the

13
00:00:41.750 --> 00:00:44.630
show notes. Thank you. All right, Bigfoot Society, we've had

14
00:00:44.649 --> 00:00:47.710
the privilege of talking to Sean today. Sean's an individual

15
00:00:47.729 --> 00:00:51.630
from down in Florida who's had some interesting things happen

16
00:00:51.829 --> 00:00:55.289
over the years. And so he's going to be talking

17
00:00:55.310 --> 00:00:59.729
about that in a few minutes. A few things about

18
00:01:01.049 --> 00:01:06.120
Sean here. So Sean has a BA in anthropology and

19
00:01:06.239 --> 00:01:11.340
has had some jobs in densely forested areas to do

20
00:01:11.459 --> 00:01:13.959
with that over the last few years. He's also a

21
00:01:14.000 --> 00:01:18.170
hip hop artist, has recorded a song called In the

22
00:01:18.250 --> 00:01:21.069
Shadow of Bigfoot, which is a fantastic song. I'm going

23
00:01:21.090 --> 00:01:23.409
to have that linked in the show notes, so everyone

24
00:01:23.530 --> 00:01:27.010
can go check that out. That's In the Shadow of

25
00:01:27.049 --> 00:01:29.689
Bigfoot by Shadow Wise. Welcome to the show, Sean. How

26
00:01:29.709 --> 00:01:30.569
are you doing today, sir?

27
00:01:31.370 --> 00:01:34.030
Pretty good. How are you doing, Jeremiah?

28
00:01:34.060 --> 00:01:37.159
We're having a good day. We're making it happen, man.

29
00:01:37.299 --> 00:01:44.719
I know, yeah, it's one of those days. So let's

30
00:01:44.819 --> 00:01:45.700
start with.

31
00:01:47.280 --> 00:01:51.379
You, we were talking a little bit beforehand and you've

32
00:01:51.459 --> 00:01:55.700
had some strange experiences, uh, in the woods over the

33
00:01:55.739 --> 00:01:59.709
years that, uh, you believe may be, may be attributed

34
00:01:59.750 --> 00:02:01.310
to Bigfoot. Do you mind sharing about those?

35
00:02:02.670 --> 00:02:09.590
Okay. Yeah. So I usually work in, uh, dense forested areas.

36
00:02:09.710 --> 00:02:13.280
It can be anywhere from 25 acres to a couple

37
00:02:13.379 --> 00:02:19.219
hundred acres. And, uh, Over the years, I've noticed these

38
00:02:19.780 --> 00:02:23.889
structures that are out of place, anomalous, and they tend

39
00:02:23.909 --> 00:02:29.409
to be associated with the Bigfoot structures that I've seen

40
00:02:29.569 --> 00:02:31.909
on different programs on.

41
00:02:33.289 --> 00:02:37.530
TV. And so the ones that I see the most

42
00:02:38.110 --> 00:02:39.129
are the X's.

43
00:02:40.879 --> 00:02:45.419
And the branches usually have the smaller branches broken off

44
00:02:45.479 --> 00:02:50.500
and they're just almost like holes. And they're pretty centered.

45
00:02:50.819 --> 00:02:56.370
The X is pretty centered. And they'll be lodged and

46
00:02:56.449 --> 00:02:59.550
wedged in branches of trees. So it's like the X

47
00:02:59.610 --> 00:03:02.729
itself is being held up by the trees at the

48
00:03:02.810 --> 00:03:04.729
top and branches and at the bottom.

49
00:03:05.490 --> 00:03:08.590
It's like it was almost worked into the tree as

50
00:03:08.650 --> 00:03:09.669
a support structure.

51
00:03:10.789 --> 00:03:15.870
And I've seen them in different sizes, anywhere from 10

52
00:03:15.870 --> 00:03:20.479
feet long the 30 feet long saplings, you know, as

53
00:03:20.520 --> 00:03:24.270
big around as a, you know, a broomstick to a,

54
00:03:24.979 --> 00:03:32.060
you know, a fence post. And they, they tend to

55
00:03:32.120 --> 00:03:35.699
be pretty far out on the properties. They're not like

56
00:03:35.759 --> 00:03:40.840
right as you drive in. So those are just a

57
00:03:40.919 --> 00:03:44.460
few of the structures I've seen. I've seen the tree

58
00:03:44.520 --> 00:03:49.719
bends too, where these trees are tucked and they're bent.

59
00:03:49.520 --> 00:03:50.000
Like an.

60
00:03:52.620 --> 00:03:59.020
Upside down kind of a U-shaped and tucked into another

61
00:03:59.139 --> 00:04:03.699
tree at a lower branch. And I've looked and I've said, hey,

62
00:04:03.719 --> 00:04:09.229
can that actually be done by wind? And it's not

63
00:04:09.310 --> 00:04:10.990
because it's usually isolated.

64
00:04:11.969 --> 00:04:14.189
And it's like the only one that would be bent

65
00:04:14.229 --> 00:04:14.689
like that.

66
00:04:14.710 --> 00:04:19.550
So I've seen those type of bends, and I've even

67
00:04:19.589 --> 00:04:22.529
tried to bend them myself. Some of them are just absolutely,

68
00:04:23.250 --> 00:04:28.660
you'd have to have immense strength to do that. So

69
00:04:29.439 --> 00:04:33.660
I had no explanation for how it happened. So I've

70
00:04:33.680 --> 00:04:37.240
seen those quite a few times over the years, and

71
00:04:37.279 --> 00:04:40.339
I've seen the other ones, which are just branches that

72
00:04:40.379 --> 00:04:43.290
are kind of like the tree P type structures, but

73
00:04:43.329 --> 00:04:47.430
they're laid up against a tree and tucked under a

74
00:04:47.470 --> 00:04:48.230
branch or two.

75
00:04:48.850 --> 00:04:54.000
And then they're all angled at the, at the.

76
00:04:52.759 --> 00:04:56.480
One focal point on the branch. It's like someone placed

77
00:04:56.519 --> 00:05:00.170
them there. And some of those can be 15, 20,

78
00:05:00.170 --> 00:05:04.480
30 feet long and, uh, you know, a little too

79
00:05:04.519 --> 00:05:10.329
heavy for a human to move around. So, Those have

80
00:05:10.449 --> 00:05:14.889
been the most common tree type structures I've seen that

81
00:05:15.810 --> 00:05:20.649
are associated with Bigfoot. So it's interesting to know that

82
00:05:21.509 --> 00:05:24.350
so many people are investigating this and coming up with

83
00:05:24.449 --> 00:05:31.199
research and conclusions and noticing these anomalous tree branches placed

84
00:05:31.259 --> 00:05:34.259
like this. So I think it's interesting for me to

85
00:05:34.319 --> 00:05:40.230
just keep photographing and documenting it. I've heard tree knocks

86
00:05:40.389 --> 00:05:45.750
quite a few times also, which are pretty loud. Some

87
00:05:45.800 --> 00:05:50.420
of them sound, they resonate and echo throughout the forest

88
00:05:51.139 --> 00:05:56.600
and immense power being hit into a tree with some

89
00:05:56.680 --> 00:06:05.149
sort of broken sapling or something. So it's pretty amazing

90
00:06:05.209 --> 00:06:08.459
to be able to see these things and also hear

91
00:06:08.519 --> 00:06:12.879
these tree knocks that normally I would only see.

92
00:06:12.779 --> 00:06:15.259
On television documentaries about it.

93
00:06:16.160 --> 00:06:19.879
So Sean, maybe a question or two for you. So

94
00:06:20.100 --> 00:06:22.339
are these tree knocks happening in the same areas where

95
00:06:22.360 --> 00:06:25.329
you're seeing the X's and stuff?

96
00:06:25.750 --> 00:06:26.850
Yes. Yep.

97
00:06:27.089 --> 00:06:32.550
And usually that's when the tree knocks will happen is

98
00:06:33.569 --> 00:06:38.529
after we've seen some of the X's or the bends

99
00:06:38.930 --> 00:06:39.509
or the.

100
00:06:39.920 --> 00:06:46.500
Tree P like structures. You'll hear the knocks, not necessarily

101
00:06:46.579 --> 00:06:50.339
right then, but throughout the day. Sometimes you hear them

102
00:06:51.160 --> 00:06:53.540
and they don't happen just once. And it's usually three.

103
00:06:54.040 --> 00:06:56.139
It's three.

104
00:06:56.439 --> 00:06:59.360
And there's a break for a few minutes and then

105
00:06:59.399 --> 00:07:03.689
there's three more. And it only goes on for maybe

106
00:07:03.699 --> 00:07:06.790
a I'm just guessing.

107
00:07:06.829 --> 00:07:08.870
Maybe a half hour at the most and then it

108
00:07:08.990 --> 00:07:10.490
quits and you don't hear it again.

109
00:07:11.670 --> 00:07:16.930
That's really interesting. I know that we talked before the

110
00:07:17.290 --> 00:07:20.410
recording started and we're not going to get into super

111
00:07:20.430 --> 00:07:24.120
specifics for locations just because of certain reasons. But I

112
00:07:24.189 --> 00:07:28.639
would be curious if the areas where you're experiencing these

113
00:07:28.899 --> 00:07:34.240
are also known for other reasons. Bigfoot activity that is

114
00:07:34.319 --> 00:07:37.240
happening or are these areas where it's kind of like

115
00:07:37.360 --> 00:07:40.660
a weird, like nothing's ever happened here before, but I'm

116
00:07:40.680 --> 00:07:41.459
still noticing it.

117
00:07:42.180 --> 00:07:45.410
No, they are in areas where there's been sightings reported

118
00:07:45.430 --> 00:07:51.490
throughout the decades and, you know, even in the last decade.

119
00:07:51.529 --> 00:07:57.509
So I wouldn't say they're sterile cryptid areas. They're definitely active,

120
00:07:57.800 --> 00:08:03.199
but how active, I'm not sure. But definitely areas where

121
00:08:03.339 --> 00:08:06.399
there's lots of wildlife, lots of dense forests and rivers

122
00:08:06.779 --> 00:08:11.300
and creeks nearby. So all of it adds up to

123
00:08:11.339 --> 00:08:16.819
be a good composition of the ecosystem to have around

124
00:08:16.879 --> 00:08:17.579
for these things.

125
00:08:17.879 --> 00:08:19.949
Yeah, absolutely. And we can say that it is in

126
00:08:20.009 --> 00:08:21.029
Florida though, right?

127
00:08:22.870 --> 00:08:23.420
I didn't hear you.

128
00:08:23.810 --> 00:08:26.490
We can say that it is in Florida though. Is

129
00:08:26.509 --> 00:08:27.009
that okay?

130
00:08:27.850 --> 00:08:29.889
Yeah, Florida, Alabama also.

131
00:08:30.649 --> 00:08:34.659
Perfect Alabama and Louisiana.

132
00:08:34.039 --> 00:08:40.759
So that's okay that's extremely interesting you'd also mentioned that

133
00:08:42.639 --> 00:08:46.110
you had some interesting things happen when you were tent

134
00:08:46.169 --> 00:08:48.490
camping would you be able to share about those.

135
00:08:48.990 --> 00:08:52.639
Yeah that was back in I want to say 2015 2014.

136
00:08:52.590 --> 00:09:04.620
Or 2015 fall down in Ocala And that was a

137
00:09:05.779 --> 00:09:13.220
survival training for beginners type of week-long course. And we

138
00:09:14.100 --> 00:09:18.259
were there and there was maybe eight or ten of

139
00:09:18.370 --> 00:09:21.210
us and the instructor and all that that was camped

140
00:09:21.330 --> 00:09:28.470
out in the Ocala National Forest and near a primitive

141
00:09:28.509 --> 00:09:35.840
campground that they had out there and that, I'm not sure,

142
00:09:35.879 --> 00:09:40.120
the second night, maybe the third night, there was tree

143
00:09:40.159 --> 00:09:45.320
knocks that were heard early in the evening, and they

144
00:09:45.360 --> 00:09:51.370
went on into the night, and as the fire started

145
00:09:51.389 --> 00:09:56.169
getting to more of like a smolder, and the glow

146
00:09:56.190 --> 00:09:59.629
of the embers, you know, kind of dark, coyotes started

147
00:10:00.279 --> 00:10:05.779
showing up and there was several coyotes around the area.

148
00:10:06.779 --> 00:10:10.809
And later on, I was, when I woke up because

149
00:10:11.750 --> 00:10:14.490
something was pushing in the side of the tent, had

150
00:10:14.529 --> 00:10:19.110
like a conical shape indentation that came in about maybe

151
00:10:19.789 --> 00:10:22.909
eight 10.

152
00:10:21.409 --> 00:10:27.240
Inches or more. It startled me. I jumped up and

153
00:10:27.299 --> 00:10:29.019
as I jumped.

154
00:10:28.879 --> 00:10:35.240
Up the shape went back flat again. I had my

155
00:10:35.299 --> 00:10:37.940
little knife next to me and I was pushing that

156
00:10:38.820 --> 00:10:40.789
kind of stabbing at the side of the tent because

157
00:10:40.850 --> 00:10:41.950
it scared me so bad.

158
00:10:42.970 --> 00:10:44.870
I have no idea what that was.

159
00:10:46.409 --> 00:10:50.710
But it was definitely checking the tent out And all

160
00:10:50.769 --> 00:10:53.870
I know is that those tree knocks earlier that night,

161
00:10:54.049 --> 00:10:56.990
it was coyotes that night, and then there was that.

162
00:10:58.610 --> 00:11:05.000
Wow. Man, that must have really affected you. During that

163
00:11:05.779 --> 00:11:09.360
situation where you have it pushing in your tent, was

164
00:11:09.399 --> 00:11:13.879
there anything else going on that would have made you

165
00:11:13.940 --> 00:11:17.509
think this could be Bigfoot-related? Any other things you noticed

166
00:11:17.769 --> 00:11:21.440
during that? when something is pushing in on your tent?

167
00:11:23.250 --> 00:11:27.809
Uh, as far as this, uh, situation, I, you know,

168
00:11:27.830 --> 00:11:30.509
I was barely awake, you know, when I was trying

169
00:11:30.529 --> 00:11:33.830
to figure, figure out what it was. And it was

170
00:11:34.149 --> 00:11:38.429
such a kind of a traumatic, startling experience. you know, I, I,

171
00:11:38.980 --> 00:11:42.100
you know, I thought bear maybe, but then I was

172
00:11:42.179 --> 00:11:47.259
thinking about the tree knocks earlier than all the coyotes around. Um,

173
00:11:47.759 --> 00:11:53.899
you know, I, I'm not sure, but definitely very, very strange.

174
00:11:54.500 --> 00:11:59.120
No, absolutely. The next morning, did you notice anything weird

175
00:11:59.159 --> 00:12:00.620
about the area around the tent?

176
00:12:02.440 --> 00:12:11.909
Well, there was some scat found over near one of

177
00:12:11.929 --> 00:12:17.330
the other areas that was kind of weird. I guess

178
00:12:17.429 --> 00:12:20.360
it was It was large, but I think it had

179
00:12:20.600 --> 00:12:23.620
hair in it. It was like bear scat.

180
00:12:23.279 --> 00:12:25.320
Mixed with something else.

181
00:12:25.379 --> 00:12:29.389
But no one knows what it was for sure. You know,

182
00:12:29.409 --> 00:12:30.070
I'm not sure.

183
00:12:31.970 --> 00:12:38.629
Interesting. So had you composed your song in the shadow

184
00:12:38.649 --> 00:12:43.350
of Bigfoot before then or before these events? Or were

185
00:12:43.389 --> 00:12:46.470
these events what led you to create that song?

186
00:12:47.330 --> 00:12:52.789
Yeah, all of these, well, the songs like that one

187
00:12:52.830 --> 00:12:55.289
and some other ones like Dog Man song that are

188
00:12:55.320 --> 00:12:59.500
coming out or out and coming out are influenced by

189
00:12:59.700 --> 00:13:03.639
all of this. So I would say that these experiences

190
00:13:04.279 --> 00:13:10.470
built up a resume to influence the songs and influence

191
00:13:10.490 --> 00:13:16.139
the research to do a song that actually can convey

192
00:13:16.159 --> 00:13:20.840
the message in an audio you know musical format like

193
00:13:21.320 --> 00:13:22.720
in a unique way.

194
00:13:24.340 --> 00:13:26.879
No it's it's extremely well done and you can tell

195
00:13:26.899 --> 00:13:31.000
after you know you listen to the song like okay

196
00:13:31.039 --> 00:13:33.039
sean knows his material.

197
00:13:32.580 --> 00:13:37.879
He's either like a super bigfoot enthusiast or he did

198
00:13:37.980 --> 00:13:41.789
definitely uh he definitely did his research into what's going

199
00:13:41.870 --> 00:13:43.950
on the topic so good job with that it's.

200
00:13:43.850 --> 00:13:49.830
A good song too Um, you, were there any other, uh,

201
00:13:50.210 --> 00:13:53.149
Bigfoot related things that you were wanting to share as well?

202
00:13:55.169 --> 00:14:01.059
Um, the, the, well, I've, I've seen, uh, areas where

203
00:14:02.000 --> 00:14:05.299
they're like, there was a tree that was actually been

204
00:14:05.460 --> 00:14:10.779
over horizontally snapped in about seven feet. And that was

205
00:14:10.860 --> 00:14:15.460
an area that, um, I heard the tree.

206
00:14:15.279 --> 00:14:19.659
Knocks in, but it was about 300 feet away or

207
00:14:19.720 --> 00:14:21.580
more from where I was at the time I heard

208
00:14:21.600 --> 00:14:22.120
the knocks.

209
00:14:23.159 --> 00:14:24.899
And when we.

210
00:14:24.919 --> 00:14:28.190
Finally got over to that area, there was this tree

211
00:14:28.269 --> 00:14:30.470
and I took a photograph of it. And it was

212
00:14:30.549 --> 00:14:35.470
probably about as big around as a round fence post

213
00:14:35.590 --> 00:14:40.870
about maybe, well, maybe bigger than that. It was probably

214
00:14:40.909 --> 00:14:45.950
six inches in diameter. I'm not 100% sure, but anyway,

215
00:14:47.210 --> 00:14:50.649
that was a fresh tree. There was no pine beetles

216
00:14:50.769 --> 00:14:54.559
to rot it. It had no reason to break over

217
00:14:54.620 --> 00:14:59.080
like that. And it's still alive and healthy looking. So

218
00:14:59.179 --> 00:15:01.419
that was an anomalous situation.

219
00:15:03.750 --> 00:15:07.850
When you have these things occur... out in the woods,

220
00:15:08.250 --> 00:15:12.370
are you usually by yourself or are there other people around?

221
00:15:12.529 --> 00:15:13.970
No, always other people.

222
00:15:14.350 --> 00:15:20.220
Okay. Um, and I'm being super, super careful how I

223
00:15:20.259 --> 00:15:24.379
say these questions because of conversations we've had before. Um,

224
00:15:27.080 --> 00:15:29.679
are the people that are with you in these areas

225
00:15:29.899 --> 00:15:33.970
also having experiences outside of you being there?

226
00:15:33.990 --> 00:15:45.929
Um, Experiences, different ones, but not so much. It's generally

227
00:15:46.190 --> 00:15:52.110
when we're together on these forested properties where we have

228
00:15:52.149 --> 00:15:57.330
these experiences. And so I can't really say that they're

229
00:15:57.370 --> 00:16:01.740
having these experiences without me and I'm having experiences without them.

230
00:16:01.759 --> 00:16:06.919
It's because these forested areas... are probably the most forested

231
00:16:06.960 --> 00:16:09.330
areas we go on to. We don't really go on

232
00:16:09.350 --> 00:16:13.769
to unless it's work related. So, uh, I would, I

233
00:16:13.809 --> 00:16:14.669
would probably have.

234
00:16:14.590 --> 00:16:20.409
To answer no on that. Okay. Overall, that's, you know,

235
00:16:20.549 --> 00:16:21.419
overall generally.

236
00:16:22.200 --> 00:16:28.580
Yeah. Um, you had, you, you've, so we're going to

237
00:16:28.600 --> 00:16:32.679
get into dog man a little bit, which, um, is

238
00:16:32.899 --> 00:16:35.649
an interesting topic for me. It's not one I, really

239
00:16:35.669 --> 00:16:37.789
get into but if it comes up organically on the

240
00:16:37.850 --> 00:16:41.950
show um then we will talk about it it's just

241
00:16:42.070 --> 00:16:46.190
uh don't spend a lot of time into it kind

242
00:16:46.210 --> 00:16:48.470
of freaks me out for for a few reasons but

243
00:16:48.610 --> 00:16:51.509
you did send me uh you've got a new song

244
00:16:51.549 --> 00:16:54.570
coming out about dogman which is really also well done

245
00:16:54.590 --> 00:17:00.419
um but kind of question about that song so it'll

246
00:17:00.460 --> 00:17:07.190
make sense once people hear it did you actually have uh, uh,

247
00:17:07.269 --> 00:17:09.269
Vic involved with that song.

248
00:17:11.269 --> 00:17:13.329
Oh, uh, talking about Vic.

249
00:17:13.690 --> 00:17:13.890
Yeah.

250
00:17:14.670 --> 00:17:15.519
Yeah. That's him.

251
00:17:15.970 --> 00:17:18.920
I was like, how it's gotta be the actual dude.

252
00:17:18.940 --> 00:17:22.700
Like that's incredible. So it's, it's very cool what you

253
00:17:22.740 --> 00:17:27.839
did with that. Well done. So, Yeah, that's more a

254
00:17:28.259 --> 00:17:33.240
question for me. So you've also had some experiences over

255
00:17:33.279 --> 00:17:36.940
the years with Dogman in different states. Would you be

256
00:17:36.980 --> 00:17:39.000
able to share what happened with that?

257
00:17:40.740 --> 00:17:43.430
Yes. So the.

258
00:17:44.849 --> 00:17:52.170
First time was in West Virginia in 2022. And it

259
00:17:52.210 --> 00:17:58.819
was in the North... western quadrant of West Virginia in

260
00:17:58.839 --> 00:18:04.400
a rural area. And that was on a friend of

261
00:18:04.700 --> 00:18:12.150
mine's 100-acre ranch. And she had a ranch up there

262
00:18:12.470 --> 00:18:16.650
and a homestead. So we were doing some work. My

263
00:18:16.690 --> 00:18:17.529
daughter and I went.

264
00:18:17.470 --> 00:18:20.690
Up there and did some work for her on the farm,

265
00:18:20.710 --> 00:18:27.680
helping her out in refurbishing and fixing and painting structures and.

266
00:18:29.220 --> 00:18:35.019
While we were there we not only saw tracks within

267
00:18:35.420 --> 00:18:38.359
a day or so being there that were massive over

268
00:18:38.869 --> 00:18:42.890
five and a half inches long and about five inches

269
00:18:43.009 --> 00:18:48.670
wide that were larger than typical wolf tracks and they

270
00:18:48.710 --> 00:18:52.950
were on a roadside on a property but we also

271
00:18:53.119 --> 00:18:58.579
experienced These knocks that took place on the side of

272
00:18:58.619 --> 00:19:01.660
the mobile home we were in on the property that

273
00:19:03.420 --> 00:19:09.980
intensified by the night, every night. An example would be,

274
00:19:10.000 --> 00:19:12.859
you think there's a rat in the wall the first night?

275
00:19:13.859 --> 00:19:16.259
The second night, well, it's a little too big to

276
00:19:16.319 --> 00:19:19.740
be a rat. Maybe it's a squirrel or maybe it's

277
00:19:19.900 --> 00:19:22.849
a raccoon. on the second and third night. And then

278
00:19:22.930 --> 00:19:25.809
it progressed to where maybe there's a black bear out

279
00:19:25.849 --> 00:19:30.319
there that's pawing on the side of the mobile home.

280
00:19:30.930 --> 00:19:33.200
It actually took place just like that.

281
00:19:34.240 --> 00:19:38.259
And we had a little dog with us that was

282
00:19:38.339 --> 00:19:43.750
always scared and hiding under the bed at night in

283
00:19:44.289 --> 00:19:47.289
the room I was staying in. And then my daughter.

284
00:19:46.950 --> 00:19:50.119
Was noticing things on the end of the bed. the

285
00:19:50.160 --> 00:19:52.259
mobile home where she was staying in a room where

286
00:19:52.279 --> 00:19:52.740
there was.

287
00:19:52.640 --> 00:19:56.099
Tapping on the wall and bangs into the wall but

288
00:19:56.220 --> 00:19:59.259
I was hearing the majority of it at my end

289
00:19:59.940 --> 00:20:05.289
so one night go out there I took a flashlight

290
00:20:05.650 --> 00:20:09.910
and shined with a direction to see see what was

291
00:20:09.950 --> 00:20:11.009
going on outside.

292
00:20:11.029 --> 00:20:15.910
And the beam hit right on the eyes. I saw

293
00:20:15.970 --> 00:20:17.359
the eyes. I saw the head.

294
00:20:17.440 --> 00:20:21.980
I saw the body of this giant wolf-looking creature that

295
00:20:22.019 --> 00:20:25.180
was probably the size between a female lion and a

296
00:20:25.240 --> 00:20:30.599
male lion size, but it had like a mane, but

297
00:20:30.619 --> 00:20:33.259
it also had a sloped back like a hyena or

298
00:20:33.720 --> 00:20:38.009
what you'd see in illustrations of a saber-toothed tiger, and

299
00:20:38.269 --> 00:20:41.309
it was just a split second or so that I

300
00:20:41.369 --> 00:20:44.269
looked at and bolted back in the house, locked all

301
00:20:44.289 --> 00:20:48.069
the locks and, you know, called my friend up the

302
00:20:48.109 --> 00:20:52.069
hill and she ended up firing some gunshots out of her, uh,

303
00:20:52.230 --> 00:20:55.910
out of the front door. And that was that, uh,

304
00:20:56.269 --> 00:20:58.279
you know, she did that up in the air just

305
00:20:58.299 --> 00:20:59.380
to kind of scare it away.

306
00:20:59.599 --> 00:21:03.799
But, and so that's how that went. And there's a

307
00:21:03.819 --> 00:21:08.000
whole lot more to that story. It's, um, it's, it's

308
00:21:08.279 --> 00:21:12.839
pretty detailed, uh, and how it unfolded and all the

309
00:21:13.519 --> 00:21:14.380
anomalous things.

310
00:21:14.420 --> 00:21:16.920
We did some structures in the woods. We saw stuff

311
00:21:16.960 --> 00:21:22.970
associated with squash. We saw knolls on the sapling trees,

312
00:21:22.990 --> 00:21:26.450
you know, like a beaver with sharp teeth, just, you know,

313
00:21:26.509 --> 00:21:29.849
four feet high, just chewed a, you know, a big

314
00:21:29.910 --> 00:21:30.839
knoll mark the.

315
00:21:30.759 --> 00:21:35.000
Size of a, you know, a milk saucer into the tree.

316
00:21:36.220 --> 00:21:36.920
And we saw.

317
00:21:38.140 --> 00:21:44.319
Big saplings laid on the ground in like an X formation.

318
00:21:45.099 --> 00:21:49.690
We saw trees that were overlapped, that were almost telephone

319
00:21:49.750 --> 00:21:54.150
pole size big, that were twisted at the top together.

320
00:21:54.329 --> 00:21:59.180
Like they were tucked, tucked looking. Maybe not that big,

321
00:21:59.220 --> 00:22:05.039
but close to it. But the forest that we walked

322
00:22:05.119 --> 00:22:10.829
up here had lots of structures and type of anomalous,

323
00:22:11.609 --> 00:22:16.890
you know, squash looking, uh, bins and exits. So all

324
00:22:16.910 --> 00:22:20.970
of this, what I call this cryptid.

325
00:22:20.809 --> 00:22:25.589
Associated stuff was going on up there. And, uh, so

326
00:22:25.630 --> 00:22:29.190
I think there was more happening in the woods also.

327
00:22:34.289 --> 00:22:41.960
Oh, A few questions about that. Would you say, one,

328
00:22:42.269 --> 00:22:44.410
it sounded like you had a conversation with the landowner

329
00:22:44.609 --> 00:22:48.990
about what happened, and two, were they surprised by what

330
00:22:49.049 --> 00:22:49.849
happened to you guys?

331
00:22:52.089 --> 00:22:56.509
Well, the landowner had neighbors that had reported seeing a

332
00:22:57.730 --> 00:23:03.299
large wolf-like animal. Didn't know about Dogman. They didn't know

333
00:23:03.319 --> 00:23:05.089
about any of that. I don't even know if they

334
00:23:05.109 --> 00:23:09.970
believed in Sasquatch. But that was all I knew before

335
00:23:09.990 --> 00:23:13.650
I got there, is that one of the neighbors saw

336
00:23:13.690 --> 00:23:18.400
a large wolf-like creature near a backyard or somewhere in

337
00:23:19.099 --> 00:23:21.140
that little village area.

338
00:23:22.839 --> 00:23:28.630
Okay, interesting. And then... When you were able to actually

339
00:23:29.210 --> 00:23:32.579
see it briefly, did it have, were you able to

340
00:23:32.619 --> 00:23:34.779
see its face? Did it have any emotion to its

341
00:23:34.839 --> 00:23:36.759
face when you had your light?

342
00:23:37.640 --> 00:23:38.660
Yeah, I saw it.

343
00:23:38.779 --> 00:23:41.380
It wasn't like, I had a pretty solid flashlight.

344
00:23:41.920 --> 00:23:46.339
It was bright. It was at least 60 feet away

345
00:23:46.380 --> 00:23:47.920
from where I was at when I came out on

346
00:23:47.940 --> 00:23:54.740
the porch and looked at it. It was kind of

347
00:23:54.809 --> 00:24:02.279
a dead stare. And it just, so it happened so fast.

348
00:24:02.500 --> 00:24:03.799
It just looked like it was.

349
00:24:03.720 --> 00:24:09.599
Looking through me, you know, where it's fixated, but it

350
00:24:09.640 --> 00:24:14.430
had like it's piercing into you with a stare and

351
00:24:14.549 --> 00:24:24.289
had golden, golden, uh, amber colored eyes, dark, dark colored, uh, fur, big,

352
00:24:24.690 --> 00:24:25.150
real big.

353
00:24:26.079 --> 00:24:27.160
And it didn't, it didn't.

354
00:24:27.539 --> 00:24:30.220
And it looked like it was semi crouched a little

355
00:24:30.259 --> 00:24:34.430
bit where it's kind of, uh, not all the way

356
00:24:34.549 --> 00:24:35.789
low down to the ground.

357
00:24:35.869 --> 00:24:39.250
It's, you know, uh, stomach is on the ground, but

358
00:24:39.289 --> 00:24:42.789
it's kind of halfway there.

359
00:24:44.099 --> 00:24:46.240
Or maybe, maybe not quite halfway, but you could tell

360
00:24:46.299 --> 00:24:47.900
it was kind of crouched a little bit.

361
00:24:49.839 --> 00:24:55.069
It's, it's wild. Cause it reminds me of, um, when

362
00:24:55.089 --> 00:25:03.400
I went to Tennessee in, uh, this last April, 2026, uh, with, uh, Randy's, uh,

363
00:25:03.480 --> 00:25:08.819
Tennessee cryptic camp out, um, it was in the upper Cumberland, uh, tow.

364
00:25:09.119 --> 00:25:11.220
And one week, one night we were all out and

365
00:25:11.940 --> 00:25:17.349
a guy caught on thermal, something that looked exactly like

366
00:25:17.470 --> 00:25:19.789
what you just described, how it has the main, uh,

367
00:25:21.269 --> 00:25:24.529
it looks like a, big lion or hyena, and it's

368
00:25:24.549 --> 00:25:28.269
the weirdest thing ever. I'll talk about that in another episode.

369
00:25:28.390 --> 00:25:33.569
I'll link it here in the show notes. I don't

370
00:25:33.710 --> 00:25:35.970
know a lot about Dogman, but what I know, it's

371
00:25:35.990 --> 00:25:38.789
a very, very strange thing. It's also strange how it

372
00:25:38.809 --> 00:25:42.529
sounds like that person also has Dogman and Bigfoot on

373
00:25:42.549 --> 00:25:43.309
the same property.

374
00:25:44.650 --> 00:25:45.549
Right, right.

375
00:25:45.730 --> 00:25:49.829
And after I was up there, it continued and it

376
00:25:49.930 --> 00:25:55.130
kind of picked up. so after we left, she communicated

377
00:25:55.190 --> 00:26:00.130
with me multiple times with photos of things like silhouettes

378
00:26:00.210 --> 00:26:02.170
that are not, that are not supposed.

379
00:26:01.859 --> 00:26:04.339
To be there in a certain tree that she sees

380
00:26:04.420 --> 00:26:07.079
every day. And there's all of a, a dark silhouette.

381
00:26:07.160 --> 00:26:10.099
It's like, it's, you know, seven or eight feet tall

382
00:26:10.180 --> 00:26:12.740
and three or four feet wide. And it's just there

383
00:26:12.759 --> 00:26:15.880
in the darkness. And she's like, not that I don't

384
00:26:15.920 --> 00:26:19.400
recognize that. And it wouldn't be there like the next day. Uh, and,

385
00:26:21.140 --> 00:26:26.720
You would also see things that would be sticking out

386
00:26:27.519 --> 00:26:31.079
of the garden. You had all this vegetation that grew

387
00:26:31.160 --> 00:26:37.380
over the garden. It wasn't wild weeds and bushes. Something

388
00:26:37.490 --> 00:26:42.569
sticking out of there, like it was a black fur

389
00:26:42.930 --> 00:26:45.910
or a hump on the back of the neck or something.

390
00:26:45.930 --> 00:26:48.309
It was trying to hide, but not all the way.

391
00:26:48.329 --> 00:26:50.269
We wanted you to see it, I guess.

392
00:26:52.160 --> 00:26:55.579
Yeah. That sounds like a wild, wild experience. I know

393
00:26:55.819 --> 00:26:59.940
that you have also had another experience down in Florida.

394
00:27:00.019 --> 00:27:00.500
Is that right?

395
00:27:01.619 --> 00:27:02.859
Right.

396
00:27:03.599 --> 00:27:06.079
We have about 10 minutes left. Would you mind sharing

397
00:27:06.160 --> 00:27:07.740
some information about that as well?

398
00:27:08.400 --> 00:27:08.720
Okay.

399
00:27:08.740 --> 00:27:11.400
So this one took place just a few weeks or

400
00:27:11.420 --> 00:27:14.069
about a month after that one did. And it was

401
00:27:14.289 --> 00:27:20.150
in 2022 also. And it was near Chipley, Florida.

402
00:27:21.690 --> 00:27:22.470
And it was remote.

403
00:27:23.289 --> 00:27:27.789
It was hundreds of acres of wilderness, thousands in that area.

404
00:27:28.690 --> 00:27:36.450
And we were out there doing a survey for the company.

405
00:27:37.390 --> 00:27:42.029
And we're pretty far out in the woods from the

406
00:27:42.089 --> 00:27:44.430
paved road where we parked.

407
00:27:44.410 --> 00:27:46.849
Near a neighborhood so we can have access.

408
00:27:47.150 --> 00:27:51.630
And the property went out maybe a 1,000 feet or 1,500

409
00:27:51.630 --> 00:27:55.910
feet or so. And it was about an acre wide

410
00:27:56.670 --> 00:28:03.339
and probably several acres deep.

411
00:28:01.079 --> 00:28:02.519
Or more than that.

412
00:28:03.460 --> 00:28:10.079
And so when we were coming back, we were mostly done.

413
00:28:11.539 --> 00:28:13.619
We were probably.

414
00:28:13.180 --> 00:28:17.759
Still 1,000 feet away from the road. if not a

415
00:28:17.779 --> 00:28:19.980
little more, but we were out in the woods in

416
00:28:20.019 --> 00:28:25.769
good ways. And the field tech that was.

417
00:28:25.869 --> 00:28:26.589
With me.

418
00:28:28.109 --> 00:28:31.549
Noticed something, and I did too, that was over in

419
00:28:32.410 --> 00:28:36.710
the swampy area that was south of where we were standing,

420
00:28:37.250 --> 00:28:39.670
and it was probably 60 to 70 feet, maybe 80

421
00:28:39.670 --> 00:28:47.970
feet away, I'm guessing, And it was standing next to

422
00:28:48.009 --> 00:28:51.529
a tree, but it was like cloaked, but we could

423
00:28:51.650 --> 00:28:56.150
see it. It was like blurry looking, kind of like

424
00:28:56.190 --> 00:29:00.880
the predator in the movie. And it had a shape

425
00:29:00.940 --> 00:29:04.000
to it. It was kind of lanky and thinner, but tall,

426
00:29:04.380 --> 00:29:08.799
maybe six and a half to seven feet tall. And

427
00:29:09.160 --> 00:29:12.769
it had, if I was to say what kind of

428
00:29:13.029 --> 00:29:15.609
cryptid it would be, a dogman based on the shape.

429
00:29:15.390 --> 00:29:20.150
Of the head. and the ears, but it was.

430
00:29:20.210 --> 00:29:22.769
This was like a second or two that we saw that,

431
00:29:22.789 --> 00:29:25.339
and it dropped down into the water, which was these

432
00:29:25.359 --> 00:29:29.200
little pockets of swamp water that was the size of

433
00:29:29.220 --> 00:29:34.910
a Volkswagen bug, and there was cypress knees, cypress trees,

434
00:29:34.950 --> 00:29:36.569
and it was next to a cypress tree, and it

435
00:29:36.609 --> 00:29:37.289
dropped down.

436
00:29:37.890 --> 00:29:39.349
When it hit the water, like the.

437
00:29:39.430 --> 00:29:43.210
Cloak, the i thought like totally disappeared and it was

438
00:29:43.259 --> 00:29:46.200
like fur you could see what it was and had

439
00:29:46.220 --> 00:29:50.180
a huge hump of fur behind its neck it was

440
00:29:50.240 --> 00:29:52.839
sticking above the water and it was just like floating

441
00:29:53.599 --> 00:29:58.750
from uh i would say that was east to east

442
00:29:58.769 --> 00:30:02.470
to west direction and it was kind of getting closer

443
00:30:02.549 --> 00:30:04.849
to an area where it could come up on the

444
00:30:04.910 --> 00:30:09.230
land and come access where we were and it had

445
00:30:09.250 --> 00:30:11.730
an arm the right arm lifted out of the water

446
00:30:11.970 --> 00:30:16.259
grabbed a cypress knee and pulled itself forward he saw

447
00:30:16.279 --> 00:30:20.119
the hand he saw the thumb it was definitely fur

448
00:30:20.240 --> 00:30:24.220
on it a lot of it and long fingers and

449
00:30:24.839 --> 00:30:28.650
it had um The head seemed like it was underwater,

450
00:30:29.130 --> 00:30:30.829
mostly like it was trying to hide.

451
00:30:31.670 --> 00:30:34.220
But with that big hump of fur, it wasn't really hiding,

452
00:30:34.299 --> 00:30:35.680
so we could see it.

453
00:30:35.960 --> 00:30:39.359
So I don't know if it was trying to come

454
00:30:39.420 --> 00:30:44.140
and ambush us and cut us off, corral us out,

455
00:30:44.380 --> 00:30:45.819
if it was territorial, if it.

456
00:30:45.789 --> 00:30:46.680
Was stalking us.

457
00:30:47.650 --> 00:30:53.890
And I screamed at the co-worker and said, you know,

458
00:30:54.349 --> 00:30:56.160
get out of here, we've got to go. You know,

459
00:30:56.220 --> 00:30:59.119
and they came and bolted off with me and were

460
00:30:59.160 --> 00:31:03.390
heading out. And we got.

461
00:31:03.289 --> 00:31:08.009
Closer to the road and heard, you know, the dogs

462
00:31:08.089 --> 00:31:11.190
barking in the neighborhood we were getting close to.

463
00:31:11.210 --> 00:31:14.609
So we felt a little safer, but it was a panic,

464
00:31:14.890 --> 00:31:18.609
dropping things, picking up equipment that was falling off and

465
00:31:19.130 --> 00:31:24.259
shoestrings coming untied, running through four-foot-tall dried grass where things

466
00:31:24.299 --> 00:31:28.089
could ambush you. And so it was kind of a

467
00:31:28.190 --> 00:31:31.690
nightmare for the minute or so that we had to

468
00:31:31.730 --> 00:31:37.640
run through all that. And then we get to an area,

469
00:31:38.099 --> 00:31:44.799
and we still had like a couple more survey shovel.

470
00:31:45.609 --> 00:31:48.809
Test digs to do before we were finished.

471
00:31:49.230 --> 00:31:51.869
And I was like, okay, I don't know if we

472
00:31:51.910 --> 00:31:54.230
can do this with what we just saw, but we

473
00:31:54.609 --> 00:31:55.450
ended up doing it.

474
00:31:56.430 --> 00:32:00.430
And, but we were closer to the neighborhood. And so

475
00:32:00.450 --> 00:32:04.049
we felt a little more secure that we could see

476
00:32:04.279 --> 00:32:07.980
houses and we could see the road, uh, four or

477
00:32:07.980 --> 00:32:09.119
500 feet away.

478
00:32:10.359 --> 00:32:12.460
And we were kind of out of the forest. So

479
00:32:12.500 --> 00:32:17.579
it's more of like this grassland area. And that's when

480
00:32:17.619 --> 00:32:21.039
it happened. I was, you know, getting finished with this

481
00:32:22.119 --> 00:32:27.170
next little unit we're doing and, uh, the field tech's

482
00:32:27.230 --> 00:32:30.519
like there it is pointed over and it was like

483
00:32:30.680 --> 00:32:33.680
swaying the grass back and forth they saw the and

484
00:32:33.700 --> 00:32:36.400
there was no wind and the grass was moving back

485
00:32:36.440 --> 00:32:38.839
and forth it's like four feet tall so something was

486
00:32:38.940 --> 00:32:42.480
behind it and slapping it back and forth and there

487
00:32:42.519 --> 00:32:49.819
was also uh like weird uh sounds you know bird

488
00:32:50.599 --> 00:32:54.589
fake bird sounds or mimic sounds that we heard and

489
00:32:54.769 --> 00:32:57.460
little kind of howl-type sounds.

490
00:32:57.480 --> 00:33:01.380
They were off, but maybe like there was a communication.

491
00:33:01.400 --> 00:33:04.319
I heard some that were off in the woods, like

492
00:33:04.339 --> 00:33:08.180
they were communicating, triangulating maybe.

493
00:33:09.259 --> 00:33:11.960
And so we got out of there, and.

494
00:33:11.859 --> 00:33:15.940
We were dropping the equipment and running, lost a few

495
00:33:16.000 --> 00:33:19.619
little minor pieces of equipment, but got back to the

496
00:33:19.700 --> 00:33:23.599
car or the vehicle and took off.

497
00:33:27.450 --> 00:33:32.509
That is extremely intense. I'm really focused on how you

498
00:33:32.890 --> 00:33:37.730
saw its arm coming out of the water and its hand.

499
00:33:37.869 --> 00:33:41.039
Did it have claws, or what were its fingers like?

500
00:33:42.299 --> 00:33:45.579
I can't tell you if it had claws, but it

501
00:33:45.619 --> 00:33:47.440
did look more spindly.

502
00:33:49.440 --> 00:33:55.789
It looked more like lanky fingers. But they were.

503
00:33:57.440 --> 00:34:00.160
There was fur on the hand and this is also quick.

504
00:34:00.200 --> 00:34:05.440
So my description is just based off of like, uh,

505
00:34:06.410 --> 00:34:07.329
a couple of seconds.

506
00:34:08.110 --> 00:34:12.389
Yeah, absolutely. Yeah. Those, some of those encounters can just

507
00:34:12.409 --> 00:34:16.210
happen so quickly. Sean, I appreciate you sharing what you

508
00:34:16.250 --> 00:34:18.869
have experienced over the years in the last few minutes

509
00:34:18.909 --> 00:34:23.489
we have. Do you mind sharing about how, uh, people

510
00:34:23.550 --> 00:34:27.780
can listen to your music and, uh, the shadow wise

511
00:34:27.860 --> 00:34:31.019
music and, uh, make sure that they check that out.

512
00:34:32.199 --> 00:34:35.780
Okay. So the, uh, in the shadow of Bigfoot, it's

513
00:34:35.889 --> 00:34:42.989
on YouTube, Spotify, and iTunes, uh, Amazon. Uh, and you

514
00:34:43.269 --> 00:34:46.110
just type in shadow wise, S H A D O

515
00:34:46.170 --> 00:34:48.369
W Y Z E. I mean, in the shadow of

516
00:34:48.429 --> 00:34:52.210
Bigfoot and that's on blue pony records, which is a

517
00:34:52.250 --> 00:34:55.530
label that I signed with for this. And they basically

518
00:34:55.570 --> 00:34:59.900
help put this together, help it come to life and

519
00:34:59.940 --> 00:35:07.119
bring it out to the world. So that's the song

520
00:35:07.179 --> 00:35:10.010
that's the first single of a cryptid album we're doing.

521
00:35:10.469 --> 00:35:13.050
And the next single is the Howl of the Dogman,

522
00:35:14.090 --> 00:35:16.070
which is going to be out in about two weeks

523
00:35:16.269 --> 00:35:19.610
on those same platforms, and then followed by the Mothman.

524
00:35:20.030 --> 00:35:25.380
How nice. Dude, that's going to be a great album.

525
00:35:25.820 --> 00:35:28.650
I am pumped. It's not just a one-off, but thank

526
00:35:28.670 --> 00:35:31.269
you so much for coming on the show today, Sean.

527
00:35:31.309 --> 00:35:33.909
We'll have to keep in touch about future things, okay?

528
00:35:34.949 --> 00:35:37.070
Okay. Thank you, Jeremiah. Appreciate it.

529
00:35:39.119 --> 00:35:41.320

530
00:35:41.519 --> 00:35:43.340
