In 1924, five gold miners near Mount St. Helens claimed they were attacked all night by a group of giant, hairy ape-like creatures. The men said rocks were thrown at their cabin, something climbed onto the roof, and one creature reportedly reached an arm inside. By morning, miner Fred Beck claimed he shot another creature and watched it fall into a canyon.
