As the months passed, activity intensified. Along a quiet creek during hunting season, she observed a pale face watching from the hillside. Moments later, a branch came flying in her direction. Weeks after that, heavy footsteps shook the ground behind her on a remote switchback trail.
Rose describes repeated vocal exchanges, including a spontaneous “whale song” call that received an immediate response from the forest. She recounts growls from the ridge line, loud wood impacts, objects moved in areas she frequented, and ongoing interactions that continued into 2025.
