A Trucker Heard Knocking on His Semi. Then the Whole Truck Moved.

A truck driver pulls off a remote highway in the Utah high desert around 3:00 AM, more than 40 miles from the nearest town. While trying to sleep inside his semi, he hears three deliberate knocks against the truck.

Then the knocking moves.

Over the next hour, it comes from different sides of the cab as he repeatedly turns on his lights and searches the empty desert around him. Eventually, something strikes the semi with enough force to rock the entire truck.

Matthew shares what happened when he finally decided to drive away, along with other unexplained experiences from his years crossing America as a long-haul trucker.

This episode of Bigfoot Society also features firsthand encounters from witnesses across the United States and beyond, including close sightings, strange vocalizations, unexplained activity in remote forests, and experiences that have stayed with these witnesses for years.

1
00:00:00.050 --> 00:00:02.970
It was so hard, this hit on the side of

2
00:00:03.009 --> 00:00:05.269
the truck, that it rocked the truck left and right,

3
00:00:05.290 --> 00:00:07.089
to the point where my feet lifted off the bed.

4
00:00:07.209 --> 00:00:09.839
A truck driver pulls off into the high desert around

5
00:00:09.839 --> 00:00:11.919
3 in the morning, at least 40 miles from the

6
00:00:11.980 --> 00:00:15.259
nearest town. He's trying to sleep when three knocks come

7
00:00:15.320 --> 00:00:17.160
from the side of a semi, and every time he

8
00:00:17.199 --> 00:00:20.500
turns on the lights, there's nobody there. What happens over

9
00:00:20.539 --> 00:00:24.059
the next hour makes him leave. I'm Jeremiah Byron, and

10
00:00:24.079 --> 00:00:25.239
this is Bigfoot Society.

11
00:00:25.480 --> 00:00:28.719
Hi, my name is Matthew. I'm a truck driver. I'm

12
00:00:29.460 --> 00:00:33.259
a 35 years old. So this is a bit of

13
00:00:33.299 --> 00:00:38.259
a long story. It kind of starts in the Alabama,

14
00:00:38.840 --> 00:00:44.770
you know, Georgia region and ends in Utah.

15
00:00:45.750 --> 00:00:49.170
So I've been a truck driver five years now.

16
00:00:50.090 --> 00:00:54.009
And my first trip, my first year out, I was

17
00:00:54.049 --> 00:00:55.719
on my first kind of cross country trip.

18
00:00:55.799 --> 00:00:56.600
I'm from Chicago.

19
00:00:57.439 --> 00:00:59.939
And, uh, Went to New York, picked up a load,

20
00:00:59.960 --> 00:01:01.299
took it all the way down to Florida, go up

21
00:01:01.320 --> 00:01:05.780
to Georgia. And normally, when you kind of run out

22
00:01:05.819 --> 00:01:08.329
of hours and you want to sleep, you just take

23
00:01:08.469 --> 00:01:13.469
a highway on-ramp, off-ramp. And so I take an off-ramp,

24
00:01:13.930 --> 00:01:17.019
and I open the passenger door to kind of stand

25
00:01:17.180 --> 00:01:19.840
on the railing there, and I would pee. You know, obviously,

26
00:01:19.859 --> 00:01:22.340
if it was dark out, I could get away with it.

27
00:01:23.239 --> 00:01:25.200
And there's a big fence in front of me. I'm

28
00:01:25.280 --> 00:01:27.900
kind of out in, like, you know, someone's ranch, but

29
00:01:28.000 --> 00:01:30.000
it's way out the edge of their ranch. So I

30
00:01:30.040 --> 00:01:32.180
could see one little light post kind of off in

31
00:01:32.200 --> 00:01:37.120
the distance. And what looked like either cattle or horses

32
00:01:37.180 --> 00:01:37.920
or something just.

33
00:01:37.819 --> 00:01:38.900
Kind of milling around.

34
00:01:40.079 --> 00:01:42.879
And there's one I'm kind of looking at as I'm,

35
00:01:43.140 --> 00:01:46.780
you know, doing my business. I'm looking at one that

36
00:01:46.900 --> 00:01:49.739
seems like it's directly under the light. And I could

37
00:01:49.819 --> 00:01:50.939
see something on.

38
00:01:50.939 --> 00:01:51.829
All fours, right?

39
00:01:52.030 --> 00:01:52.250
Big.

40
00:01:52.769 --> 00:01:54.730
And round like it would be a cow.

41
00:01:55.849 --> 00:02:00.950
And next thing I noticed, the two front paws or legs, whatever,

42
00:02:00.969 --> 00:02:03.890
kind of go up. So now it looks like a

43
00:02:03.930 --> 00:02:08.039
human that's bent over doing the touch your toes pose,

44
00:02:08.199 --> 00:02:12.120
but it's got his hands to its side. And I

45
00:02:12.159 --> 00:02:15.659
could see the head kind of shifting towards my direction.

46
00:02:16.639 --> 00:02:19.669
And honestly, I didn't stick around Much after that.

47
00:02:19.689 --> 00:02:20.310
It freaked me out.

48
00:02:20.490 --> 00:02:22.909
I've listened to Bigfoot and stuff like that for years

49
00:02:22.949 --> 00:02:26.870
and enjoy it like a sleep fodder, you know.

50
00:02:26.949 --> 00:02:29.370
I'll put it on and whatnot.

51
00:02:30.210 --> 00:02:32.789
My uncle had an encounter years ago and kind of

52
00:02:32.870 --> 00:02:38.379
just my interest peaked from there. So, I jump back

53
00:02:38.419 --> 00:02:40.819
in the truck and drive down until I could reach

54
00:02:40.860 --> 00:02:41.419
a rest stop.

55
00:02:41.659 --> 00:02:42.759
Went over my hours and everything.

56
00:02:44.039 --> 00:02:44.960
A couple of days later, I'm.

57
00:02:47.469 --> 00:02:49.229
Going down into Alabama.

58
00:02:49.509 --> 00:02:51.509
I'm on an Alabama state route.

59
00:02:52.289 --> 00:02:54.110
It was so long ago. I forget a lot of.

60
00:02:54.090 --> 00:02:58.840
The locations, but it's a two lane, you know, Alabama

61
00:02:58.849 --> 00:03:04.960
state route. And the shoulder is just enough space for

62
00:03:05.060 --> 00:03:08.259
me to squeeze the truck in. And I'm surrounded by

63
00:03:08.340 --> 00:03:12.580
forest on either side. And the forest is kind of

64
00:03:12.639 --> 00:03:15.120
overgrown and encroaching out onto the shoulder.

65
00:03:15.919 --> 00:03:17.539
And I pull off.

66
00:03:18.879 --> 00:03:21.699
I got the windows open and I can hear it's

67
00:03:21.879 --> 00:03:24.639
maybe two or three in the morning. And again, I'm

68
00:03:25.020 --> 00:03:29.370
going to jump out the passenger side, use the bathroom and,

69
00:03:29.509 --> 00:03:32.550
you know, get back into the drive. So I'm sitting

70
00:03:32.590 --> 00:03:34.610
there kind of doing my clock thing to stop it

71
00:03:34.629 --> 00:03:36.030
so I could jump out the passenger side.

72
00:03:36.129 --> 00:03:37.229
And like I said, I mean, it's.

73
00:03:37.150 --> 00:03:37.629
Two in the morning.

74
00:03:37.650 --> 00:03:40.000
There's nobody on this road. It's pitch black.

75
00:03:41.699 --> 00:03:43.800
And I could hear the sounds of the forest.

76
00:03:43.860 --> 00:03:46.240
You know, it's summertime and you could hear the forest

77
00:03:46.300 --> 00:03:46.740
is alive.

78
00:03:49.189 --> 00:03:51.370
And I jump out the passenger side, and this time

79
00:03:51.430 --> 00:03:55.120
I get off the truck, and I get down onto

80
00:03:55.159 --> 00:03:58.740
the shoulder and kind of, you know, a pace into the,

81
00:03:58.979 --> 00:03:59.979
you know, where the.

82
00:04:01.460 --> 00:04:04.300
Forest floor is kind of overgrowing, and I'm doing my business.

83
00:04:05.599 --> 00:04:09.849
And as I'm finishing, suddenly, hair on the back of

84
00:04:09.870 --> 00:04:14.530
my neck stands up. Everything goes quiet. I mean, I've

85
00:04:14.669 --> 00:04:16.579
never experienced....

86
00:04:17.300 --> 00:04:22.540
That feeling in my life. I'm talking, it was so quiet,

87
00:04:22.620 --> 00:04:26.120
it was deafening, if that makes sense. I know it's oxymoron,

88
00:04:26.160 --> 00:04:30.800
but I could feel this immense pressure from how quiet

89
00:04:30.839 --> 00:04:34.199
it was. I mean, I'm telling you, just five seconds before, I.

90
00:04:35.720 --> 00:04:37.600
Could hear crickets.

91
00:04:37.279 --> 00:04:40.550
And this, that, and the other, and the wind rustling

92
00:04:40.560 --> 00:04:43.050
through it, and all this stuff, and then just suddenly,

93
00:04:44.129 --> 00:04:46.029
dead quiet, and the hair stands up.

94
00:04:46.110 --> 00:04:48.290
And I just felt I goosebumps.

95
00:04:49.310 --> 00:04:53.250
I didn't even finish. I, I, you know, zipped up

96
00:04:53.449 --> 00:04:55.529
and I turned around and ran back into the truck.

97
00:04:55.810 --> 00:04:57.990
I mean, I made a mess on myself. It was

98
00:04:58.050 --> 00:05:01.579
that bad, slammed it in gear and took off.

99
00:05:01.839 --> 00:05:03.019
So, okay.

100
00:05:03.060 --> 00:05:05.279
I drive off and, you.

101
00:05:05.240 --> 00:05:10.810
Know, uh, days go by, um, entering into Flagstaff. And

102
00:05:10.850 --> 00:05:13.050
this is kind of different from the Bigfoot thing, but

103
00:05:13.089 --> 00:05:15.129
this was all on a single trip from New York

104
00:05:15.170 --> 00:05:18.540
down to Georgia, uh, across the Flagstaff, up into Utah,

105
00:05:18.620 --> 00:05:20.399
where it ultimately ends.

106
00:05:21.740 --> 00:05:26.079
And getting into Flagstaff, and there's a bit of a

107
00:05:26.120 --> 00:05:31.360
climb there. And as I'm climbing up the mountain, again,

108
00:05:31.439 --> 00:05:31.959
it's late.

109
00:05:33.560 --> 00:05:35.079
You know, I would always do my clock to where

110
00:05:35.120 --> 00:05:37.000
I would start driving in the evening, because, you know,

111
00:05:37.019 --> 00:05:39.459
ask any truck driver, night driving is so much better

112
00:05:39.610 --> 00:05:44.430
than day driving, obviously. And I'm climbing, and there's a, like,

113
00:05:44.439 --> 00:05:47.589
an overpass, but it's not actually a highway overpass. It's

114
00:05:47.629 --> 00:05:51.050
like a, I don't know if it's a pipe, something, whatever,

115
00:05:51.110 --> 00:05:54.170
but it's a concrete deal. And I'm going up, and

116
00:05:54.230 --> 00:05:56.910
to my right there is a forest, and I believe

117
00:05:56.949 --> 00:05:59.029
it's one of the natural forests over there.

118
00:05:59.089 --> 00:06:02.310
It's probably, like, part of the Mogollon Rim, something like that.

119
00:06:02.410 --> 00:06:06.470
Again, I apologize that I don't know, you know, the

120
00:06:06.509 --> 00:06:10.250
places or the routes or anything like that by heart.

121
00:06:12.029 --> 00:06:16.490
But anyway, so I'm surrounded by this.

122
00:06:15.769 --> 00:06:17.189
Forest as I'm climbing.

123
00:06:17.209 --> 00:06:22.550
And to my right, I'd say about 1 o'clock, I

124
00:06:22.589 --> 00:06:24.939
could see a little bit of light coming in from

125
00:06:25.000 --> 00:06:25.500
the forest.

126
00:06:27.279 --> 00:06:30.040
And it's like a streak. It's like a bunch of

127
00:06:30.139 --> 00:06:30.899
rays of light.

128
00:06:32.579 --> 00:06:36.360
Whatever's making the light is blocked by this overpass concrete deal.

129
00:06:37.500 --> 00:06:38.259
And the.

130
00:06:41.199 --> 00:06:46.220
Shoulder barriers on the highway is blocking the bottom of

131
00:06:46.240 --> 00:06:50.430
the forest so I have this little you know 6

132
00:06:50.430 --> 00:06:53.269
inch from my point of view 6 inch area of

133
00:06:53.310 --> 00:06:57.050
the forest that I could see these light rays and

134
00:06:57.069 --> 00:07:02.709
I'm climbing and I pass the little concrete overpass deal

135
00:07:03.490 --> 00:07:06.209
and now I could see the whole forest because now

136
00:07:06.230 --> 00:07:10.569
I'm above the forest floor And I couldn't believe what

137
00:07:10.589 --> 00:07:14.600
I was looking at. I'm looking at a ball. It's

138
00:07:14.779 --> 00:07:17.740
from my point of view, it was maybe, you know, two,

139
00:07:17.759 --> 00:07:19.620
three hundred yards away. So it looked it was about

140
00:07:19.639 --> 00:07:22.319
the size of basketball from my point of view. And

141
00:07:22.339 --> 00:07:26.220
I could see it spinning. And there's this brilliant white light.

142
00:07:26.560 --> 00:07:30.290
I mean, I've never seen pure, bright white.

143
00:07:30.170 --> 00:07:31.250
Light like that ever.

144
00:07:31.269 --> 00:07:34.949
And I tell people this story and they just don't understand.

145
00:07:36.240 --> 00:07:39.699
And I don't know how to make people understand how

146
00:07:39.879 --> 00:07:43.120
brilliantly white and pure this light was.

147
00:07:44.220 --> 00:07:45.790
But the ball is.

148
00:07:45.810 --> 00:07:48.550
Spinning and I could see it shooting out. You know,

149
00:07:48.569 --> 00:07:50.670
it's not shooting out anything. It's just the rays. It's

150
00:07:51.069 --> 00:07:54.629
the light that's coming off this ball. It's spinning in

151
00:07:54.870 --> 00:08:00.410
a counterclockwise rotation. And I could see the tops of

152
00:08:00.430 --> 00:08:04.310
the trees illuminating as this light is kind of passing.

153
00:08:04.329 --> 00:08:06.240
And it was amazing. It was like a disco ball.

154
00:08:07.300 --> 00:08:09.120
And, you know, the tops of the trees are lighting

155
00:08:09.240 --> 00:08:12.480
up and darkening out, lighting up, darkening out. And I'm,

156
00:08:12.800 --> 00:08:15.680
you know, I had a heavy load going up, you know,

157
00:08:15.879 --> 00:08:19.259
a 6%, 7% grade. So I'm going like 25, 30

158
00:08:19.259 --> 00:08:20.480
miles per hour. So I had a lot of time

159
00:08:20.500 --> 00:08:25.730
to see this thing. And... I see it descending slowly

160
00:08:25.850 --> 00:08:27.800
down towards the bottom of the trees, and I got

161
00:08:27.829 --> 00:08:31.160
a perfect view of this whole thing. And it's going down,

162
00:08:31.399 --> 00:08:34.580
and I could see it, like, doing a 360, you know,

163
00:08:34.620 --> 00:08:36.700
lighting up the trees all the way down to the floor,

164
00:08:36.720 --> 00:08:39.820
and it's there for a few seconds, and then it

165
00:08:40.019 --> 00:08:43.000
shoots straight up into the sky. By the time it

166
00:08:43.059 --> 00:08:44.840
got to the tops of the trees, I mean, it

167
00:08:45.120 --> 00:08:46.559
accelerated so quickly it was gone.

168
00:08:46.580 --> 00:08:47.179
It beamed out.

169
00:08:48.730 --> 00:08:49.649
And, I mean, shoot.

170
00:08:52.019 --> 00:08:57.610
I'm 80,000 pounds going up a mountain, and I'm perplexed.

171
00:08:57.620 --> 00:08:59.230
I don't know what I saw. I don't know what

172
00:08:59.250 --> 00:09:04.309
I was looking at. People go, why didn't you record it? No,

173
00:09:04.710 --> 00:09:06.370
you're not thinking of, oh, let me get my phone

174
00:09:06.409 --> 00:09:06.879
and record it.

175
00:09:07.490 --> 00:09:09.730
And I was staring at this thing for a solid

176
00:09:09.730 --> 00:09:12.149
50 seconds. I mean, more than enough time to grab

177
00:09:12.190 --> 00:09:12.970
my phone and record it.

178
00:09:13.000 --> 00:09:14.620
But that's not what was going through my head.

179
00:09:14.659 --> 00:09:17.519
What was going through my head is, I've never seen

180
00:09:17.559 --> 00:09:21.539
this before. I, this, this isn't real, you know, days

181
00:09:21.600 --> 00:09:24.519
go by, I deliver my load to Phoenix, I got

182
00:09:24.559 --> 00:09:27.860
something going up north into California, and then now I'm

183
00:09:27.899 --> 00:09:33.159
cutting across, uh, the Sierra Nevadas into Utah, you know,

184
00:09:33.179 --> 00:09:36.980
taking I-80 straight into Chicago, I'm going back home, now,

185
00:09:37.480 --> 00:09:41.240
when I get into the mountains, uh, it seemed like

186
00:09:41.799 --> 00:09:44.120
it took forever to cross.

187
00:09:43.980 --> 00:09:49.779
Into, you know, Nevada, uh, and that whole area.

188
00:09:49.779 --> 00:09:53.889
And I remember talking to my wife, it must have

189
00:09:53.889 --> 00:09:57.990
been the first day, and you know, it's I-80, I believe.

190
00:09:58.049 --> 00:10:00.450
And there's this flat stretch of highway that just goes

191
00:10:00.529 --> 00:10:01.129
on forever.

192
00:10:02.230 --> 00:10:03.690
And you're kind of up in the mountains.

193
00:10:04.750 --> 00:10:09.750
And I remember having this anxiety attack or panic attack just.

194
00:10:09.750 --> 00:10:10.190
Out of nowhere.

195
00:10:10.210 --> 00:10:12.950
And I remember calling my wife and I told her

196
00:10:13.269 --> 00:10:15.080
something's wrong, like something doesn't feel right.

197
00:10:15.149 --> 00:10:16.049
You know, I've.

198
00:10:17.019 --> 00:10:18.419
Crisscrossed these mountains before.

199
00:10:18.440 --> 00:10:20.299
I had been driving for a couple months now up

200
00:10:20.320 --> 00:10:24.399
until this point and had, you know, crisscrossed the country already.

201
00:10:25.600 --> 00:10:28.360
And I'm telling my wife, something doesn't feel right. I

202
00:10:28.460 --> 00:10:30.399
feel like I can't get out of these mountains. I

203
00:10:30.480 --> 00:10:33.120
feel like I can't breathe being in these mountains. And

204
00:10:33.179 --> 00:10:34.799
she's trying to calm me down and whatnot.

205
00:10:37.659 --> 00:10:39.779
And, you know, whatever.

206
00:10:39.799 --> 00:10:40.639
I rest.

207
00:10:40.750 --> 00:10:41.529
I kind of get over it.

208
00:10:43.230 --> 00:10:49.029
So that night I'm driving... And I can't remember exactly

209
00:10:49.080 --> 00:10:51.279
where I was. I know I was in the mountains.

210
00:10:52.179 --> 00:10:56.679
I was, you know, at the summit of something. I

211
00:10:56.779 --> 00:10:59.769
can't remember if I was in Utah, was that 84,

212
00:10:59.759 --> 00:11:03.019
that Uinta Basin area, you know, I-84 kind of intersects.

213
00:11:04.340 --> 00:11:08.879
But it's about 2.30, 3 a.m. There's a good stretch

214
00:11:09.200 --> 00:11:14.259
of this highway where you're, you know, high desert terrain.

215
00:11:14.600 --> 00:11:16.419
There's nothing. There's no towns.

216
00:11:16.460 --> 00:11:20.580
There's nothing up there for a good stretch. And there's

217
00:11:20.600 --> 00:11:24.529
a bunch of exits on this highway up in the mountains.

218
00:11:24.830 --> 00:11:28.830
And you could take them. And it's really just access roads, really.

219
00:11:30.450 --> 00:11:33.210
And the exits kind of just, you take the exit

220
00:11:33.370 --> 00:11:35.250
and it's like a little horseshoe deal and you can

221
00:11:35.289 --> 00:11:35.769
go right.

222
00:11:35.649 --> 00:11:36.389
Back on the highway.

223
00:11:37.360 --> 00:11:40.220
And I would assume they're made for like truckers getting tired.

224
00:11:40.779 --> 00:11:41.519
So I'm tired.

225
00:11:41.559 --> 00:11:41.740
It's 3 a.m.

226
00:11:43.470 --> 00:11:44.570
And I go, all right, I'm going to, I still

227
00:11:44.590 --> 00:11:45.889
have some time, but I, you know, I'm going to

228
00:11:45.909 --> 00:11:47.789
take a little nap, let the sun come out. I'll

229
00:11:47.809 --> 00:11:51.169
finish driving. So I take one of these access roads.

230
00:11:51.830 --> 00:11:54.929
I park up on the side. There's nobody around. And

231
00:11:55.019 --> 00:11:58.440
I'm telling you, there's no, it's a flat desert all

232
00:11:58.500 --> 00:12:00.600
around me. I could look out either side of the

233
00:12:00.659 --> 00:12:05.940
window and I'm looking maybe 10 miles unobstructed directly in

234
00:12:06.080 --> 00:12:08.720
front of me is the, you know, summit of this

235
00:12:08.830 --> 00:12:13.000
other mountain range. Um, And so, you know, there's all

236
00:12:13.039 --> 00:12:16.899
types of caves or whatever, I'm sure, in those mountains.

237
00:12:16.940 --> 00:12:19.120
And directly in front, I'd say about a half a mile.

238
00:12:20.639 --> 00:12:23.679
So I park up. And, you know, I get down

239
00:12:23.740 --> 00:12:28.179
into my boxers, my tank top. And I lay down

240
00:12:28.200 --> 00:12:28.559
in the back.

241
00:12:29.659 --> 00:12:30.279
I lay down.

242
00:12:31.059 --> 00:12:33.820
And about ten minutes go by. And I'm laying down

243
00:12:33.840 --> 00:12:37.159
where my head is. My pillow is right behind the

244
00:12:37.179 --> 00:12:41.129
driver's side. And I hear a faint knock. on the

245
00:12:41.190 --> 00:12:44.289
side of the truck, the area of the truck right

246
00:12:44.309 --> 00:12:46.409
in between where my head is and the driver's seat.

247
00:12:46.470 --> 00:12:49.389
It's a very faint knock, but it's a knock. And

248
00:12:49.429 --> 00:12:51.009
it's not just a single knock. It's a couple.

249
00:12:51.029 --> 00:12:53.789
Doop, doop, doop, something like that. I thought, oh, crap,

250
00:12:53.809 --> 00:12:55.350
there's a cop or someone going to tell me I've

251
00:12:55.370 --> 00:12:55.830
got to move.

252
00:12:57.250 --> 00:12:57.870
So I get up.

253
00:12:58.070 --> 00:13:00.649
I kind of peek my head out the curtain. It's

254
00:13:00.690 --> 00:13:02.149
pitch black out there. I don't see anything.

255
00:13:02.529 --> 00:13:03.309
And I go, shoot.

256
00:13:03.470 --> 00:13:06.620
And I sit on the driver's seat, and I.

257
00:13:06.580 --> 00:13:09.409
Blast my window all the way down, and turn on

258
00:13:09.429 --> 00:13:11.870
the runner lights and the light I had on the side,

259
00:13:12.250 --> 00:13:14.580
I could see if I look out my side mirror,

260
00:13:15.299 --> 00:13:18.840
I could see from basically where I'm sitting all the

261
00:13:18.860 --> 00:13:21.279
way down to the end of the trailer in the back.

262
00:13:21.700 --> 00:13:24.580
That's how much it illuminates the entire.

263
00:13:24.240 --> 00:13:24.830
Side of the truck.

264
00:13:25.500 --> 00:13:28.389
And I could see about 10 feet out, outwards on

265
00:13:28.450 --> 00:13:31.730
either side. And I'm looking, I don't see anything. And

266
00:13:31.750 --> 00:13:34.750
I got both windows down. And I'm looking at both sides.

267
00:13:34.789 --> 00:13:35.809
I'm sticking my head out.

268
00:13:35.950 --> 00:13:37.049
Did I miss somebody?

269
00:13:37.389 --> 00:13:40.149
And a couple of seconds go by and I feel eerie.

270
00:13:40.169 --> 00:13:41.970
And I go, you know, I shouldn't have the windows

271
00:13:42.090 --> 00:13:44.769
blast like this. So I put the windows up, turn

272
00:13:44.789 --> 00:13:47.029
off the lights, and I lay back down. I didn't

273
00:13:47.070 --> 00:13:49.730
realize I've gone so long.

274
00:13:50.450 --> 00:13:52.830
But I'm ending. I'm running out of time. So I'll

275
00:13:52.990 --> 00:13:56.750
finish it for sure. I promise. Part four. Matthew Ramose.

276
00:13:56.990 --> 00:13:57.330
Thank you.

277
00:13:57.889 --> 00:13:58.210
Sorry.

278
00:13:58.230 --> 00:14:03.340
All right. Part four. The finale. So, yeah, I have

279
00:14:03.360 --> 00:14:04.080
the windows down.

280
00:14:04.139 --> 00:14:07.649
I'm looking out both sides, and I don't see anybody.

281
00:14:07.669 --> 00:14:11.200
And I start feeling eerie. I put the windows back up.

282
00:14:11.450 --> 00:14:14.490
I go back down and lay down. And a couple

283
00:14:14.570 --> 00:14:16.110
minutes go by. I'm texting my wife here and there,

284
00:14:16.129 --> 00:14:19.350
just whatever. A couple minutes go by. I click off

285
00:14:19.370 --> 00:14:23.240
the phone, and, again, I hear the knock. One, two, three,

286
00:14:23.549 --> 00:14:27.500
same spot. And I sit up, and I go out

287
00:14:27.539 --> 00:14:30.500
the curtain, and I hit the runner lights, and I'm looking.

288
00:14:30.519 --> 00:14:31.220
I don't see anybody.

289
00:14:32.500 --> 00:14:35.799
All right, someone's messing with me. You know, someone definitely

290
00:14:35.820 --> 00:14:39.179
is messing with me. Now, mind you, it's 3 a.m.

291
00:14:39.379 --> 00:14:45.470
and I'm minimum 40 miles from civilization in either direction.

292
00:14:45.529 --> 00:14:46.450
And there's nothing up here.

293
00:14:48.330 --> 00:14:52.450
And there's nobody around. There's no trees, nothing like that.

294
00:14:52.529 --> 00:14:57.029
I mean, it's high desert. And I look around, I

295
00:14:57.090 --> 00:15:00.120
hit the lights, I go back, lay down. About ten

296
00:15:00.139 --> 00:15:02.340
more minutes, and I hear the knock again, but this

297
00:15:02.399 --> 00:15:04.039
time it's on the passenger side.

298
00:15:04.679 --> 00:15:05.120
Or as we.

299
00:15:05.700 --> 00:15:08.159
The blind side. It's on the passenger side.

300
00:15:08.379 --> 00:15:11.259
Same area in between where my head would be and

301
00:15:11.620 --> 00:15:12.379
the passenger seat.

302
00:15:13.330 --> 00:15:16.149
One, two, three, knock. I get up quick.

303
00:15:16.289 --> 00:15:18.549
So I jump right up, and I stick my head

304
00:15:18.929 --> 00:15:21.529
out the curtain again, and I go, alright, this is ridiculous.

305
00:15:22.490 --> 00:15:25.250
So I lay back down. So this goes on for

306
00:15:25.309 --> 00:15:26.289
the next half hour, where.

307
00:15:27.899 --> 00:15:32.480
Knocking is coming from various parts of the truck. The cab, specifically.

308
00:15:35.500 --> 00:15:39.139
The door. Not the window. The door. The side.

309
00:15:39.590 --> 00:15:42.279
Behind me. On the passenger side. I mean, it's going on.

310
00:15:42.429 --> 00:15:46.110
Every single time, I'm jumping up. And, you know, snatching

311
00:15:46.149 --> 00:15:47.549
open the curtain to see what's going on.

312
00:15:49.049 --> 00:15:51.570
So, 30 minutes this goes on. Every couple of minutes,

313
00:15:51.649 --> 00:15:55.379
it's happening. So, finally, after 30 minutes, I go... This

314
00:15:55.409 --> 00:15:57.440
is ridiculous. The wind is probably.

315
00:15:58.490 --> 00:16:01.970
you know, blowing like rocks or whatever to hit the truck.

316
00:16:02.649 --> 00:16:06.470
It was wintertime, so it's like five degrees outside. So

317
00:16:06.549 --> 00:16:09.000
I know there's nobody out there messing around this long.

318
00:16:10.740 --> 00:16:14.399
And it wasn't that windy, but I just, you know,

319
00:16:14.440 --> 00:16:16.000
in my own head, I said, that's what it is.

320
00:16:17.919 --> 00:16:21.960
And so another 15 minutes goes by and I'm finally

321
00:16:22.019 --> 00:16:25.759
like getting comfortable and I got my spot and I'm

322
00:16:25.779 --> 00:16:31.230
ready to sleep. Again, the knock happens on the passenger side,

323
00:16:31.649 --> 00:16:32.750
and I'm ignoring it.

324
00:16:34.509 --> 00:16:37.500
I ignore it. A couple minutes later, it happens on

325
00:16:37.600 --> 00:16:41.389
my side, the driver's side. Screw this. I'm ignoring it.

326
00:16:43.279 --> 00:16:47.360
And for the next 40 minutes, this knocking is happening

327
00:16:47.519 --> 00:16:49.450
every couple of minutes on either side of the truck,

328
00:16:49.539 --> 00:16:52.289
but I've just decided I'm ignoring this because I want

329
00:16:52.309 --> 00:16:52.629
to sleep.

330
00:16:52.830 --> 00:16:55.490
I need to get a couple hours in. Sun's going

331
00:16:55.509 --> 00:16:56.809
to be up, and I'm hitting the road.

332
00:16:57.789 --> 00:17:01.429
So, 40 minutes, and this entire 40 minutes, I'm not sleeping,

333
00:17:01.470 --> 00:17:04.480
because every time it's knocking, I'm trying to convince myself

334
00:17:04.519 --> 00:17:09.480
to not be scared, but I'm freaking out. So, finally,

335
00:17:09.799 --> 00:17:12.420
after the 40 minutes, all this, like, various knocking, and

336
00:17:12.480 --> 00:17:15.160
it's always the three, one, two, three, one, two, three, one, two, three,

337
00:17:15.319 --> 00:17:22.930
on every side. Finally, 40 minutes, it goes quiet, and then,

338
00:17:23.069 --> 00:17:27.250
out of nowhere... There's a banging on the side of

339
00:17:27.269 --> 00:17:31.930
the truck, on the passenger side, and it's so violent

340
00:17:32.130 --> 00:17:36.640
and strong, the banging. And it was as if, you know,

341
00:17:36.779 --> 00:17:41.079
a 7-foot, 400-pound guy ran full speed at the side

342
00:17:41.099 --> 00:17:44.029
of the truck and slammed both his fists into it.

343
00:17:45.319 --> 00:17:47.950
So much so that the truck rocked back and forth.

344
00:17:47.970 --> 00:17:50.130
I mean, if you've ever seen a semi-truck, the cab,

345
00:17:50.650 --> 00:17:53.059
if they're bobtail without a trailer... They kind of will

346
00:17:53.119 --> 00:17:56.539
sway when you're moving. I don't know the technical terms.

347
00:17:57.900 --> 00:18:01.930
And at that point, I almost crapped myself. I jumped up,

348
00:18:03.029 --> 00:18:05.970
jumped in the driver's seat, ran the truck, and didn't

349
00:18:05.990 --> 00:18:07.150
even let the air fill up.

350
00:18:07.230 --> 00:18:09.809
I mean, I was dragging the trailer to go.

351
00:18:09.910 --> 00:18:12.430
And as I'm driving off, I have the runner lights on,

352
00:18:12.630 --> 00:18:16.470
and there's pounding now on the trailer because the truck

353
00:18:16.529 --> 00:18:19.650
is moving. And I'm staring at the passenger side of

354
00:18:19.670 --> 00:18:22.609
the trailer where the pounding is coming from. And I

355
00:18:22.670 --> 00:18:26.390
see nothing, but I could see the trailer swing a

356
00:18:26.410 --> 00:18:30.130
little bit as I'm driving off. Like sections of it

357
00:18:30.250 --> 00:18:32.730
are being as if something's standing there and pounding with

358
00:18:32.799 --> 00:18:36.400
both fists as I'm going. It happened three more times

359
00:18:36.440 --> 00:18:38.440
where the banging was hitting the side. Like I said,

360
00:18:38.480 --> 00:18:41.619
something was standing still and pounding with both fists on

361
00:18:41.640 --> 00:18:43.980
the side of the trailer. And it happened in the

362
00:18:44.059 --> 00:18:46.359
front of the trailer. It happened in the middle of

363
00:18:46.400 --> 00:18:48.380
the trailer. And then it happened towards the back. And again,

364
00:18:49.079 --> 00:18:51.000
the lights are shining all the way down the side.

365
00:18:51.339 --> 00:18:53.119
So I could, I'm looking at this thing and the

366
00:18:53.140 --> 00:18:56.339
entire time I'm driving off, I'm staring at that. I

367
00:18:56.359 --> 00:18:58.319
didn't even see what was going on in my front door.

368
00:18:58.339 --> 00:19:00.680
I look, did none of that matter. I got my

369
00:19:00.720 --> 00:19:04.500
eyes glued on my pasture side mirror, staring at the

370
00:19:04.559 --> 00:19:08.980
trailer getting swayed by these powerful strikes. And, and, you know,

371
00:19:09.000 --> 00:19:12.700
that was it. And just drove off and, and, uh,

372
00:19:13.160 --> 00:19:14.720
kind of put it out of my mind, but that

373
00:19:14.740 --> 00:19:15.539
was five years ago.

374
00:19:15.859 --> 00:19:20.609
And, uh, I've avoided those mountains as best I could.

375
00:19:20.640 --> 00:19:23.309
As a matter of fact, last winter, I took my

376
00:19:23.490 --> 00:19:26.750
five-year-old daughter on a trip with me. We were going

377
00:19:26.890 --> 00:19:32.529
from Chicago down to Utah, Salt Lake City, and right back.

378
00:19:32.829 --> 00:19:35.130
And so, you know, I wanted to take my daughter.

379
00:19:35.150 --> 00:19:36.569
It was her birthday. She said she wanted to see

380
00:19:36.589 --> 00:19:37.029
the mountains.

381
00:19:38.450 --> 00:19:43.819
And we stopped at a truck stop in the Uinta Basin.

382
00:19:43.859 --> 00:19:45.539
As a matter of fact, it's a Flying J right

383
00:19:45.559 --> 00:19:46.559
there in the Uinta Basin.

384
00:19:47.720 --> 00:19:50.740
And the entire drive-in I was thinking about the last

385
00:19:50.779 --> 00:19:53.740
time I had stayed in this area. And I had

386
00:19:54.230 --> 00:19:56.029
a crazy nightmare of that. I mean, we're in a

387
00:19:56.069 --> 00:20:00.910
truck stop surrounded by trucks. I had the weirdest nightmare

388
00:20:01.349 --> 00:20:04.930
of something... was just stalking me in the truck. And

389
00:20:04.970 --> 00:20:06.650
I was in my dream house by myself in just

390
00:20:06.980 --> 00:20:10.059
various areas. But it was like this big black, you know,

391
00:20:10.160 --> 00:20:13.700
shadow entity that was just stalking me. And that's all

392
00:20:13.720 --> 00:20:17.000
it was doing, but it was terrifying. And I woke

393
00:20:17.119 --> 00:20:19.619
up and, you know, it's like 6 a.m. I woke up,

394
00:20:19.700 --> 00:20:21.859
I was terrified. I mean, I was legit scared. I

395
00:20:22.000 --> 00:20:23.569
jumped to the front to kind of see where I was,

396
00:20:23.589 --> 00:20:26.269
get my bearings straight. A couple hours later, my daughter

397
00:20:26.309 --> 00:20:28.230
wakes up and she says, Daddy, I had a nightmare.

398
00:20:29.089 --> 00:20:30.829
I said, well, what was it? She goes, there was

399
00:20:30.849 --> 00:20:33.869
something chasing me. And my dream, it was very scary.

400
00:20:34.750 --> 00:20:36.109
And I said, I don't want to come to this

401
00:20:36.150 --> 00:20:40.079
place anymore. But back to the origins of what got

402
00:20:40.210 --> 00:20:42.559
into my Bigfoot appreciation.

403
00:20:43.000 --> 00:20:44.299
It was my oldest brother's wedding.

404
00:20:44.779 --> 00:20:49.680
And my uncle, who came to this country in 1994.

405
00:20:49.680 --> 00:20:52.829
And really good mechanic, saved.

406
00:20:52.630 --> 00:20:55.210
Up his money, opened up a mechanic shop and opened

407
00:20:55.250 --> 00:20:56.369
up a couple in the Bay Area.

408
00:20:57.089 --> 00:20:57.789
And his English was.

409
00:20:58.640 --> 00:21:00.579
never was really good, he's since passed away, but his

410
00:21:00.640 --> 00:21:04.000
English was never really the best, but he loved, like,

411
00:21:04.039 --> 00:21:09.000
American culture, and some of his employees were hunters, and

412
00:21:09.279 --> 00:21:11.839
he would go up every year into the Sierra Nevadas

413
00:21:11.859 --> 00:21:13.700
with one of his employees, and they would hunt, and

414
00:21:13.759 --> 00:21:16.920
he had a cabin up there, and so at the wedding,

415
00:21:16.940 --> 00:21:19.339
me and my dad are having a drink, and we're

416
00:21:19.359 --> 00:21:21.619
talking to him, and he tells my dad, you should

417
00:21:21.660 --> 00:21:23.519
come with us, you know, one year up in the

418
00:21:23.559 --> 00:21:26.059
mountains and hunting. And my dad goes, I'm not a hunter.

419
00:21:26.180 --> 00:21:28.240
I wouldn't be able to shoot an animal. My uncle says, ah,

420
00:21:28.460 --> 00:21:31.420
we ever rarely, you know, kill anything, but it's fun

421
00:21:31.460 --> 00:21:32.920
to be up there in the mountains and have some

422
00:21:32.940 --> 00:21:36.130
beers and barbecue. And, and my dad said, well, why

423
00:21:36.150 --> 00:21:38.509
aren't you worried about, you know, bears? And my uncle says,

424
00:21:38.690 --> 00:21:42.150
oh no, uh, bears aren't a problem. I never see

425
00:21:42.170 --> 00:21:45.250
bears up there. Uh, I do see the mountain people

426
00:21:45.490 --> 00:21:47.650
every once in a while, but, uh, they're okay.

427
00:21:47.750 --> 00:21:49.630
You know, you just ignore them. They go about their business.

428
00:21:49.690 --> 00:21:51.900
And my dad's like, what are you talking about mountain people?

429
00:21:52.819 --> 00:21:56.029
He goes, yeah, you see these guys, they're like cavemen,

430
00:21:56.160 --> 00:21:58.450
you know, they're big giant guys and they kind of

431
00:21:58.490 --> 00:22:00.529
walk around all fours, you think it's a bear and

432
00:22:00.549 --> 00:22:03.369
they stand up and look at you and I wave

433
00:22:03.430 --> 00:22:04.750
at them and they turn around and they walk away.

434
00:22:04.789 --> 00:22:06.369
And my dad's like, what are you talking about?

435
00:22:07.109 --> 00:22:08.970
He goes, yeah, up in the Sierra Nevadas, they're like,

436
00:22:08.990 --> 00:22:11.390
they got cavemen that live up there, they're like primitive peoples.

437
00:22:11.970 --> 00:22:14.210
They're covered in hair, they're big seven feet tall people.

438
00:22:14.230 --> 00:22:16.240
He goes, yeah, they're hillbillies, nobody bothers them.

439
00:22:17.160 --> 00:22:20.559
And my dad's like rapping his biggest. What do you talk?

440
00:22:20.579 --> 00:22:22.460
I don't think that's real. He goes, yeah, I see

441
00:22:22.500 --> 00:22:24.559
him every year up there. He goes, they never bothered me.

442
00:22:26.019 --> 00:22:28.099
And I, my dad's, would you ever ask your employee

443
00:22:28.119 --> 00:22:30.180
about him? He goes, yeah, he tells me, don't worry

444
00:22:30.200 --> 00:22:30.519
about them.

445
00:22:30.539 --> 00:22:34.329
They're good people. So that's kind of what piqued my interest.

446
00:22:34.420 --> 00:22:37.109
And I ended up watching a Bigfoot video and my

447
00:22:37.150 --> 00:22:38.809
dad had walked in and he goes, Hey, this is

448
00:22:38.910 --> 00:22:41.069
what my, you know, your uncle was talking. I go, yeah.

449
00:22:41.970 --> 00:22:43.990
So that's where that started from. And now, like I said,

450
00:22:44.029 --> 00:22:48.950
my uncle had no idea what Bigfoot is. Um, you know, never,

451
00:22:49.130 --> 00:22:51.079
you know, wasn't a drinker. I would have a few

452
00:22:51.119 --> 00:22:54.700
beers every blue moon, but a great standup guy.

453
00:22:54.720 --> 00:22:56.609
I mean, it wasn't a liar. It wasn't like an,

454
00:22:56.740 --> 00:22:59.700
you know, just a really good solid guy. And if

455
00:22:59.720 --> 00:23:01.160
he's telling you there's eight foot.

456
00:23:01.619 --> 00:23:05.000
Mountain people up there that are hairy and naked, but

457
00:23:05.039 --> 00:23:06.759
they're okay. You know, you kind of took him at

458
00:23:06.779 --> 00:23:08.859
his word for it. So that's kind of what started my,

459
00:23:09.000 --> 00:23:09.960
my journey into it.

460
00:23:09.960 --> 00:23:12.960
And until I had my own experiences, I don't know

461
00:23:13.019 --> 00:23:14.779
that it was Bigfoot or anything like that.

462
00:23:14.799 --> 00:23:18.680
I didn't see anything, but based off of like the experiences,

463
00:23:18.740 --> 00:23:20.579
it sure felt like a lot of the other stories

464
00:23:20.619 --> 00:23:20.980
I've heard.

465
00:23:21.059 --> 00:23:24.019
So anyway, thank you for, for taking the time to listen.

466
00:23:24.059 --> 00:23:24.920
I appreciate it.

467
00:23:25.359 --> 00:23:27.549
Hi, Ray. Hey guys. How you doing, man?

468
00:23:28.269 --> 00:23:29.410
Hey, doing good.

469
00:23:29.529 --> 00:23:30.890
Perfect. Yeah. Go ahead.

470
00:23:30.910 --> 00:23:32.750
Feel free to share what you've experienced.

471
00:23:33.970 --> 00:23:34.349
Yeah.

472
00:23:34.430 --> 00:23:37.390
I was a truck driver, man. And, uh, it was

473
00:23:37.450 --> 00:23:40.190
delivering up in Hickory. I was working for a company

474
00:23:40.269 --> 00:23:43.450
out of Atlanta. I had been up and down this.

475
00:23:43.690 --> 00:23:46.430
It was a, uh, kind of like you know in

476
00:23:46.470 --> 00:23:49.029
hickory you would get off the major highway and then

477
00:23:49.089 --> 00:23:52.150
take like a a side road to get to the

478
00:23:52.210 --> 00:23:56.069
others to to a warehouse and it but it went

479
00:23:56.130 --> 00:23:59.490
by a quarry you know so when i say that

480
00:23:59.529 --> 00:24:03.950
i'm coming to the bottom of the road so it

481
00:24:03.990 --> 00:24:07.470
was a quarry and uh i've been by this place

482
00:24:08.039 --> 00:24:12.220
you know so many times anyways it was i've never

483
00:24:12.259 --> 00:24:15.799
seen a bear alive but when i Pulled up on

484
00:24:15.839 --> 00:24:17.000
this thing at 2 a.m.

485
00:24:17.039 --> 00:24:20.759
In the morning. This thing was standing larger.

486
00:24:20.789 --> 00:24:24.529
It was looking me eye to eye in my truck

487
00:24:24.589 --> 00:24:27.930
that I had to stop my semi, pull the brakes.

488
00:24:29.750 --> 00:24:33.170
And I'm looking this thing straight in the eyes, sitting

489
00:24:33.250 --> 00:24:38.420
in a semi. You know, and I'm thinking, okay, maybe

490
00:24:38.480 --> 00:24:43.099
I'm seeing a bear. But the face on this thing...

491
00:24:43.539 --> 00:24:47.170
And it was really upset that I came up upon it.

492
00:24:47.160 --> 00:24:51.230
It was the weirdest feeling of... I've seen everything on

493
00:24:51.250 --> 00:24:54.910
the road. It's 18 years of driving. But I've never

494
00:24:54.990 --> 00:25:00.309
come across anything like this in my life. That its

495
00:25:00.390 --> 00:25:04.440
face looked like an old man. And the hairline on

496
00:25:04.519 --> 00:25:08.859
it was like way back. Like it wasn't... It was

497
00:25:08.900 --> 00:25:11.359
the weirdest thing I've ever seen in my life. It

498
00:25:11.380 --> 00:25:14.470
looked like a man... but it's standing six foot eight,

499
00:25:14.690 --> 00:25:15.690
six foot nine.

500
00:25:17.289 --> 00:25:17.869
And it was.

501
00:25:17.809 --> 00:25:21.559
Upset that I drove up on it with lights. That

502
00:25:21.619 --> 00:25:26.400
even turned the truck off to look at it. Didn't

503
00:25:26.460 --> 00:25:29.220
even think to take a picture. I was in shock.

504
00:25:30.039 --> 00:25:30.460
You know what I mean?

505
00:25:30.500 --> 00:25:33.619
When you're looking at it, like I thought it was

506
00:25:33.660 --> 00:25:36.240
a bear maybe. Like, okay, I just drove up on

507
00:25:36.279 --> 00:25:38.359
a bear in the middle of the road. Like you

508
00:25:38.380 --> 00:25:43.559
could tell it was smelling something and looking around. But

509
00:25:43.579 --> 00:25:47.799
it looked at me like I was upsetting it. And

510
00:25:47.839 --> 00:25:49.619
we stood there for like three minutes.

511
00:25:50.119 --> 00:25:50.559
You know what I mean?

512
00:25:50.599 --> 00:25:53.450
That's the longest three minutes I ever looked at something.

513
00:25:53.930 --> 00:25:58.390
I couldn't understand. And I still try to explain this

514
00:25:58.430 --> 00:26:01.230
to everybody. And they're like, oh, it's a bear. I'm like,

515
00:26:01.289 --> 00:26:05.730
there's no bear that stands that tall. Or has that face.

516
00:26:05.759 --> 00:26:10.160
I mean, I just, Hickory, North Carolina, I did a

517
00:26:10.200 --> 00:26:14.490
lot of research. And that's a very high population for

518
00:26:15.230 --> 00:26:20.640
sightings but i know what i seen i just can't

519
00:26:20.680 --> 00:26:23.900
explain it to nobody it didn't run off you know

520
00:26:23.920 --> 00:26:26.480
but it kind of bent over and kind of did

521
00:26:26.519 --> 00:26:30.819
like a hop off you know what i mean like

522
00:26:30.920 --> 00:26:35.539
it didn't run upstanding but it's still bent over and

523
00:26:36.319 --> 00:26:38.980
so you know that was the the problem you know

524
00:26:39.150 --> 00:26:41.069
i mean i just can't explain it and i knew

525
00:26:41.109 --> 00:26:45.829
i was by a quarry you know, like very high populated,

526
00:26:46.029 --> 00:26:48.549
you know, I come from Florida. So you're always going

527
00:26:48.569 --> 00:26:54.069
to run into animals around, you know, water, you know,

528
00:26:54.109 --> 00:26:58.990
in the woods. I just can't explain what I seen

529
00:26:59.049 --> 00:27:00.789
that night. It blew my mind.

530
00:27:02.549 --> 00:27:05.369
So when you rode up on it and you said

531
00:27:05.390 --> 00:27:08.259
it was about six, eight. So were you looking into

532
00:27:08.339 --> 00:27:10.390
when you're sitting in your truck, were you looking into

533
00:27:10.430 --> 00:27:12.250
its chest or its face or.

534
00:27:13.000 --> 00:27:18.299
It's eyes straight, sitting in a semi. I'm looking straight

535
00:27:18.460 --> 00:27:21.980
into its face. See, that's the part that I can't

536
00:27:22.069 --> 00:27:24.200
say it was in a bear. A bear would have

537
00:27:24.240 --> 00:27:28.690
never been that tall. Standing on the road, on pavement,

538
00:27:29.210 --> 00:27:33.470
he's looking me in the eye. I mean, how do

539
00:27:33.509 --> 00:27:37.609
you explain that? I mean, I'm looking him straight in.

540
00:27:37.730 --> 00:27:39.910
He's not concerned with me.

541
00:27:40.450 --> 00:27:44.210
There was no concern whatsoever. He was mad. I was there.

542
00:27:44.230 --> 00:27:48.069
I had the lights on him. You know, I mean,

543
00:27:48.289 --> 00:27:49.950
I had to pull the brakes. You know, when you

544
00:27:49.990 --> 00:27:53.220
pull air brakes on a semi, he didn't flinch. There

545
00:27:53.259 --> 00:27:57.640
was no flinch. He wasn't scared of me being there.

546
00:27:57.660 --> 00:28:03.380
It just still is something I've told the story to

547
00:28:03.480 --> 00:28:04.039
many people.

548
00:28:07.049 --> 00:28:09.130
How wide across were the shoulders?

549
00:28:11.779 --> 00:28:15.640
See, that's what, you know, when you try to dive

550
00:28:15.660 --> 00:28:19.509
into what you're seeing in those five minutes, four minutes.

551
00:28:20.289 --> 00:28:22.730
You know, I'm focused on the face because I look

552
00:28:22.769 --> 00:28:27.910
like an old man. Like the hairline was way far

553
00:28:28.029 --> 00:28:33.160
back on top of its head. And I can't explain, but,

554
00:28:33.400 --> 00:28:35.859
you know, I just know that if I got out

555
00:28:35.880 --> 00:28:37.140
of my truck, I would.

556
00:28:37.019 --> 00:28:41.200
Have stood to the middle of his chest, maybe. You

557
00:28:41.220 --> 00:28:45.180
know what I mean? I just and he didn't flinch.

558
00:28:45.640 --> 00:28:46.099
He didn't.

559
00:28:46.119 --> 00:28:49.890
That was the part I stood there. We were in

560
00:28:49.930 --> 00:28:52.329
total silence because I turned the truck off. I pulled

561
00:28:52.349 --> 00:28:55.670
the brakes, which what made me do that? I still

562
00:28:55.710 --> 00:29:00.119
don't know because I was just dumbfounded. You know, I'm

563
00:29:00.130 --> 00:29:02.460
from Florida, so I've seen some things.

564
00:29:03.460 --> 00:29:05.720
Were there parts of the face that were not covered

565
00:29:05.759 --> 00:29:07.920
with with hair like there was just.

566
00:29:07.960 --> 00:29:12.829
Yeah, his face was kind of bare. You know what

567
00:29:14.130 --> 00:29:16.529
I mean? I know everybody tells me it's a bear,

568
00:29:16.569 --> 00:29:18.490
but there's nothing that tall.

569
00:29:19.410 --> 00:29:22.240
But he had an old man's face. You know what

570
00:29:22.259 --> 00:29:26.059
I mean? Like a really distinctive....

571
00:29:27.160 --> 00:29:28.599
Do you remember the color of the skin?

572
00:29:30.480 --> 00:29:33.140
Well, I put it to a bore. You know what

573
00:29:33.160 --> 00:29:36.630
I mean? Like the hair. It was very... I don't

574
00:29:36.650 --> 00:29:39.970
know if you've ever seen a very black, very black

575
00:29:40.240 --> 00:29:44.119
coarse kind of hair. You know what I mean? Like

576
00:29:44.220 --> 00:29:49.079
it was very kind of thick. You know, it was just.

577
00:29:50.869 --> 00:29:53.210
But that's all I kept looking at was the hair

578
00:29:53.230 --> 00:29:56.890
around his head and his eyes were distinctive.

579
00:29:57.490 --> 00:30:02.250
But the hair was very coarse and short. It wasn't long.

580
00:30:02.309 --> 00:30:06.329
Like you see Bigfoot, everything looks like he's this long haired.

581
00:30:07.230 --> 00:30:11.250
And this thing was totally different. It was, I just,

582
00:30:11.809 --> 00:30:15.710
I mean, maybe I haven't seen enough bears in my life,

583
00:30:16.069 --> 00:30:19.759
but I've just never seen anything this massive and intimidating.

584
00:30:23.230 --> 00:30:26.150
It's a wild account and it sounds like it just

585
00:30:26.410 --> 00:30:29.200
eventually got bored and kind of went.

586
00:30:29.119 --> 00:30:33.380
On its way. Bored is the word. Like he was

587
00:30:33.460 --> 00:30:37.019
done with me. Like he was smelling. I know when

588
00:30:37.059 --> 00:30:40.119
I pulled up on him, he was smelling. He was,

589
00:30:40.140 --> 00:30:43.329
you know, when you see the head turning and he

590
00:30:43.369 --> 00:30:45.190
was trying to find some kind of smell.

591
00:30:47.000 --> 00:30:49.619
And I just kind of drove up in a semi.

592
00:30:49.900 --> 00:30:50.700
Come on, man.

593
00:30:51.460 --> 00:30:54.680
Anything else would have ran. And this guy was not

594
00:30:54.740 --> 00:30:59.369
concerned with me. You know, full semi, brakes, pull the brakes.

595
00:31:00.430 --> 00:31:04.509
There was no concern with me being there. He was

596
00:31:04.670 --> 00:31:08.509
fixated on something. He was trying to find food, is

597
00:31:08.549 --> 00:31:13.980
what I was thinking. He was trying to chase something.

598
00:31:14.000 --> 00:31:15.140
And I just kind of pissed him off.

599
00:31:17.130 --> 00:31:21.849
After you saw that, did you talk to your other

600
00:31:22.190 --> 00:31:25.109
truck driver friends and see if anyone else had any

601
00:31:25.130 --> 00:31:26.970
sightings in the area?

602
00:31:27.130 --> 00:31:30.269
I went right to the guy at the warehouse where

603
00:31:30.309 --> 00:31:33.609
I delivered to. And he goes, oh, yeah, they've seen. Yeah,

604
00:31:33.650 --> 00:31:39.230
that's normal around here. Like Hickory, North Carolina is very common.

605
00:31:39.269 --> 00:31:42.670
And I did all the research and everything, looked it up.

606
00:31:43.970 --> 00:31:46.549
And yeah, it's like, it's like, it's like, you know,

607
00:31:46.630 --> 00:31:49.910
and then there's videos. If you look up Hickory, North Carolina,

608
00:31:50.210 --> 00:31:52.630
there's videos where they seen them out in the woods.

609
00:31:54.329 --> 00:31:56.569
So it's kind of just crazy. I believe in it.

610
00:31:57.150 --> 00:32:00.700
I mean, I would never, listen, I, I wouldn't believe

611
00:32:00.759 --> 00:32:02.680
unless I seen it with my own eyes, man.

612
00:32:03.779 --> 00:32:05.740
And it's not a bear. There was no bear.

613
00:32:07.779 --> 00:32:10.519
There's no bear that stands as tall as to look

614
00:32:10.819 --> 00:32:14.509
into the eyes of being a semi, man. That was

615
00:32:14.549 --> 00:32:18.970
the problem I had. You know, standing upright.

616
00:32:20.410 --> 00:32:26.230
It's a wild story, and I thank you for sharing.

617
00:32:26.250 --> 00:32:28.720
I'm glad I got this off my chest. Makes me

618
00:32:28.740 --> 00:32:31.400
feel a lot better. Thanks a lot, man.

619
00:32:32.380 --> 00:32:32.920
Absolutely.

620
00:32:32.980 --> 00:32:35.309
If anything else happens, feel free to reach out. You

621
00:32:35.329 --> 00:32:38.990
can always email me directly at bigfootsociety at gmail.com. But

622
00:32:39.609 --> 00:32:42.670
thanks so much for sharing what you saw that night.

623
00:32:43.670 --> 00:32:46.250
Thank you, brother. Have a great day, man. You too.

624
00:32:47.329 --> 00:32:50.730
Hey, this is Jeremiah. You were saying that you've had

625
00:32:50.789 --> 00:32:52.009
a sighting while you were hunting?

626
00:32:53.549 --> 00:32:54.799
Yeah, it was back in the 90s.

627
00:32:54.930 --> 00:32:59.390
I was bow hunting here in Colton, Oregon, just not

628
00:32:59.410 --> 00:33:01.329
too far behind the house here up in the mountains.

629
00:33:02.450 --> 00:33:06.539
And it was dusk. And I would say another three,

630
00:33:06.740 --> 00:33:08.400
four minutes, I wouldn't be able to shoot.

631
00:33:08.420 --> 00:33:09.940
It was getting fairly dark.

632
00:33:11.140 --> 00:33:15.339
And I hear this crashing, just, I mean, loud, loud,

633
00:33:15.400 --> 00:33:19.750
like breaking branches. And like it was something purposefully making

634
00:33:19.809 --> 00:33:22.849
lots of noise coming down the mountain, right towards where

635
00:33:22.890 --> 00:33:25.690
I was sitting in the bushes. And I had full

636
00:33:25.730 --> 00:33:29.190
dress camouflage on. I had a cover scent. And it

637
00:33:29.250 --> 00:33:33.430
was basically following my scent. So I just turned around

638
00:33:33.490 --> 00:33:35.630
and waited thinking, you know, okay, this is a buck

639
00:33:35.670 --> 00:33:40.279
that's in rut and he's mad. And I raised up

640
00:33:40.319 --> 00:33:44.359
my bow and weight and the trail was 20 yards

641
00:33:44.400 --> 00:33:47.680
in front of me. And the thing just came out

642
00:33:47.859 --> 00:33:50.960
of the forest right onto the trail and just stared

643
00:33:51.019 --> 00:33:55.480
at me for, I would say, probably two minutes. I

644
00:33:55.500 --> 00:33:58.519
wouldn't say it was that tall, you know, maybe six

645
00:33:58.539 --> 00:34:02.400
foot or so. But it was really wide, wide shoulders.

646
00:34:03.569 --> 00:34:07.849
And at first it was just holding perfectly still. And

647
00:34:07.910 --> 00:34:11.349
then after about the one minute mark, it started weaving

648
00:34:11.989 --> 00:34:14.909
back and forth side to side like it was getting nervous.

649
00:34:16.429 --> 00:34:19.289
And I just kept my bow on its chest. I

650
00:34:19.289 --> 00:34:21.869
didn't have any intent to shoot it. And to tell

651
00:34:21.889 --> 00:34:24.949
you the truth, I didn't really have any feeling at all.

652
00:34:26.429 --> 00:34:30.079
No fear, no anything. It was kind of a blank moment.

653
00:34:30.739 --> 00:34:35.159
I really can't explain it. But after a second minute

654
00:34:35.179 --> 00:34:38.519
went by, it just backed up very slowly right back

655
00:34:39.340 --> 00:34:41.139
into the forest where it came from and just kind

656
00:34:41.179 --> 00:34:44.780
of disappeared into the darkness. And then it made just

657
00:34:44.840 --> 00:34:46.739
as much noise going back up the mountain as it

658
00:34:46.780 --> 00:34:50.679
did coming down. And that was the extent of the sighting.

659
00:34:50.920 --> 00:34:54.789
There was no smell involved. I didn't smell anything. But

660
00:34:55.610 --> 00:34:57.230
it was pretty exciting afterwards.

661
00:34:58.849 --> 00:35:02.170
That's incredible. So you got a pretty good look at

662
00:35:02.190 --> 00:35:03.409
the face then, it sounds like.

663
00:35:04.190 --> 00:35:04.650
Not really.

664
00:35:05.289 --> 00:35:07.710
Like I said, it was a couple minutes before dark.

665
00:35:08.150 --> 00:35:11.710
So really what I saw was a black outline of

666
00:35:12.469 --> 00:35:17.010
a giant person that was just big and looked to

667
00:35:17.030 --> 00:35:22.340
be hairy. That's all I could see. I couldn't see eyes, nose,

668
00:35:22.400 --> 00:35:28.139
or anything like that. But it had the outline of

669
00:35:28.179 --> 00:35:28.570
a person.

670
00:35:31.039 --> 00:35:31.400
Gotcha.

671
00:35:31.960 --> 00:35:34.159
Were you able to make out the outline of the

672
00:35:34.199 --> 00:35:34.679
head at all?

673
00:35:36.260 --> 00:35:38.900
Yeah, it had a very large head, but the head

674
00:35:38.920 --> 00:35:44.010
sat like right down almost under the shoulders. It was weird,

675
00:35:44.070 --> 00:35:45.369
almost as if it didn't have a neck.

676
00:35:46.670 --> 00:35:49.590
Sometimes people will say that when they see one, the

677
00:35:49.650 --> 00:35:53.559
head has a certain shape. Sometimes it's rounded. Sometimes it's

678
00:35:53.840 --> 00:35:54.820
maybe more conical.

679
00:35:56.239 --> 00:35:59.800
Yeah, I would say it was more round. I live

680
00:35:59.840 --> 00:36:01.449
here in Colton, right in the mountains.

681
00:36:02.300 --> 00:36:05.250
And for years, we've always heard things up there late

682
00:36:05.289 --> 00:36:10.550
at night, like screams and hoops and roars and just

683
00:36:10.590 --> 00:36:12.650
like crazy stuff going on up there.

684
00:36:12.690 --> 00:36:15.250
And I always wondered what it was.

685
00:36:15.269 --> 00:36:18.730
And then once I had the sighting, I had something

686
00:36:18.789 --> 00:36:19.710
to attribute it to.

687
00:36:19.730 --> 00:36:23.639
Have you heard of other sightings in that same area

688
00:36:23.679 --> 00:36:24.519
that you were ever?

689
00:36:25.719 --> 00:36:26.030
Yes.

690
00:36:26.210 --> 00:36:29.070
Since the 90s, I've heard of, oh, I don't even

691
00:36:29.130 --> 00:36:33.570
know how many, probably 15, 16 different sightings here in

692
00:36:33.590 --> 00:36:37.179
the area. The latest one was a man driving home

693
00:36:37.219 --> 00:36:40.239
through Colton and a huge Bigfoot.

694
00:36:40.320 --> 00:36:42.199
He said it was like 12 feet tall.

695
00:36:42.539 --> 00:36:44.460
We're just standing on the side of the road near

696
00:36:44.500 --> 00:36:47.059
Deardorff and Highway 211.

697
00:36:47.059 --> 00:36:48.630
And he just drove right by it and it just

698
00:36:48.670 --> 00:36:49.869
stared at him as he drove by.

699
00:36:53.650 --> 00:36:54.590
Wow.

700
00:36:54.769 --> 00:36:55.630
How long ago was this?

701
00:36:56.969 --> 00:36:58.010
That was about a year ago.

702
00:36:58.030 --> 00:37:05.159
I don't have anything current and I haven't heard any

703
00:37:05.260 --> 00:37:06.980
noises lately either.

704
00:37:07.059 --> 00:37:10.300
It seems to have stopped over the past couple years

705
00:37:10.980 --> 00:37:11.679
and I don't know why.

706
00:37:11.699 --> 00:37:19.199
That's fascinating. Colton's an area that I've not heard much

707
00:37:19.340 --> 00:37:21.219
of but now it's on my radar. I've heard a

708
00:37:21.360 --> 00:37:26.909
ton of things down uh in an area southeast of

709
00:37:27.050 --> 00:37:31.719
eugene and it's an area called oak ridge down there

710
00:37:31.760 --> 00:37:35.219
i've heard a lot of things on 58 down in

711
00:37:35.260 --> 00:37:38.619
that area but i'll definitely be keeping an ear out

712
00:37:38.719 --> 00:37:40.389
for uh for colton now.

713
00:37:41.329 --> 00:37:44.530
Um my i live on a dead end dirt road

714
00:37:45.190 --> 00:37:49.429
and my neighbor across the street would babysit their son's

715
00:37:49.909 --> 00:37:52.800
daughter and he would drop off his daughter at 3.30

716
00:37:52.800 --> 00:37:55.019
in the morning and then leave with his.

717
00:37:54.960 --> 00:37:57.159
Tow truck and we would hear him come by every day.

718
00:37:57.920 --> 00:38:00.719
Well, all of a sudden he quit coming by and

719
00:38:00.760 --> 00:38:05.170
dropping his daughter off and thought that was unusual. And

720
00:38:05.409 --> 00:38:09.369
come to find out, he dropped off his daughter one night, 3.30

721
00:38:09.369 --> 00:38:13.559
in the morning, and a Bigfoot walked along the side

722
00:38:13.579 --> 00:38:16.840
of his tow truck, looking in his driver's side window

723
00:38:17.340 --> 00:38:19.519
all the way down our dirt road and down our

724
00:38:20.139 --> 00:38:23.920
asphalt road to the highway. And then it just ran

725
00:38:24.000 --> 00:38:26.519
off into the field, and it scared him so bad

726
00:38:26.579 --> 00:38:31.179
he's never been back to see his daughter. basically his

727
00:38:31.400 --> 00:38:36.820
um mother-in-law since and that's been like three years that

728
00:38:36.980 --> 00:38:38.300
is wild.

729
00:38:37.960 --> 00:38:41.070
Do you have i'm sure you've heard so many stories

730
00:38:41.130 --> 00:38:43.630
over the years have you heard any where it's a

731
00:38:44.010 --> 00:38:48.610
particularly aggressive encounter or sometimes they try to get into

732
00:38:49.030 --> 00:38:51.420
houses in certain parts of the country.

733
00:38:52.219 --> 00:38:55.099
Well, I've never heard of anything aggressive here in Colton.

734
00:38:55.780 --> 00:38:58.539
It seems that the one or many that live here,

735
00:38:59.079 --> 00:39:03.199
they're pretty laid back. But if you go to Estacada,

736
00:39:03.239 --> 00:39:05.760
which is just the next town up and go up

737
00:39:05.780 --> 00:39:09.480
Highway 224, that's a really bad place to go.

738
00:39:10.599 --> 00:39:12.119
People disappear up there all the time.

739
00:39:14.110 --> 00:39:16.929
You know, I have heard a lot about Estacada. That

740
00:39:17.050 --> 00:39:21.739
is a pretty wild area. Have you heard actual Bigfoot

741
00:39:21.760 --> 00:39:23.320
accounts from Estacada then?

742
00:39:23.340 --> 00:39:27.250
I've only heard a couple of people just driving up

743
00:39:27.289 --> 00:39:29.909
there to spend some time in a park, you know,

744
00:39:29.920 --> 00:39:32.380
a little pull-off near the river, Clackamas River.

745
00:39:33.199 --> 00:39:35.860
And they just later, they never show up.

746
00:39:35.840 --> 00:39:39.079
And people find their car with the door open and

747
00:39:39.179 --> 00:39:40.719
nobody around, just missing.

748
00:39:43.739 --> 00:39:46.429
Is that the Milo McIver State Park?

749
00:39:48.960 --> 00:39:52.480
No, that's off of Springwater. That's outside of Estacada too.

750
00:39:53.000 --> 00:39:58.420
I'm talking about up Highway 224 into the Cascade Mountain Range.

751
00:39:58.440 --> 00:40:05.230
And it cuts over to Highway 22, which connects to

752
00:40:05.329 --> 00:40:06.670
Sisters and Bend.

753
00:40:07.989 --> 00:40:10.929
So you're saying when you go up that area from

754
00:40:11.030 --> 00:40:14.050
Estacada and you go up into like Sisters area, it

755
00:40:14.090 --> 00:40:14.670
could get wild?

756
00:40:14.690 --> 00:40:14.789
Yeah.

757
00:40:16.400 --> 00:40:17.679
Right.

758
00:40:17.699 --> 00:40:23.320
In early 2000, 2003, that was the loudest it had

759
00:40:23.420 --> 00:40:25.840
ever been back in the mountains of my house here.

760
00:40:26.400 --> 00:40:27.500
We would hear screams.

761
00:40:27.559 --> 00:40:30.909
And my wife, I would tell her what I would

762
00:40:30.949 --> 00:40:34.130
hear because I sleep light at night. And she never

763
00:40:34.190 --> 00:40:36.949
really believed in it, but she was nice to me

764
00:40:37.010 --> 00:40:40.260
and she just kind of humored me. Well, one night

765
00:40:40.320 --> 00:40:43.780
we were sleeping with the windows open, and one right

766
00:40:43.880 --> 00:40:47.980
in our backyard let out this huge roar, hoops, and

767
00:40:48.039 --> 00:40:48.900
some chest beating.

768
00:40:49.500 --> 00:40:51.460
And we both popped up out of bed, and her

769
00:40:51.559 --> 00:40:52.400
eyes were so huge.

770
00:40:52.860 --> 00:40:54.639
And I just had the biggest smile on my face

771
00:40:54.699 --> 00:40:58.570
because it finally proved to her that they're real and

772
00:40:58.590 --> 00:40:59.170
they're out there.

773
00:41:01.150 --> 00:41:03.869
And after that, she was on board. She's like, yeah,

774
00:41:03.889 --> 00:41:04.710
there's something out here.

775
00:41:05.389 --> 00:41:05.849
Oh, yeah.

776
00:41:05.889 --> 00:41:10.320
Yeah, she was on board, 100%. You have to experience

777
00:41:10.400 --> 00:41:13.650
it to believe it. Another time I was coming home

778
00:41:13.750 --> 00:41:18.889
from Estacada to Colton and I ran into this huge

779
00:41:20.110 --> 00:41:21.800
cloud of stink.

780
00:41:22.599 --> 00:41:31.889
It smelled like, like, uh, 75% skunk and 25%. Um, sulfur.

781
00:41:32.670 --> 00:41:35.849
And I like the smell of skunk and sulfur separately,

782
00:41:36.250 --> 00:41:39.659
but when you add them together, it really messes with you.

783
00:41:39.739 --> 00:41:41.940
I mean, I was being choked out of the car

784
00:41:42.860 --> 00:41:46.400
and right where that stink was, where some skid marks

785
00:41:47.039 --> 00:41:50.559
and a big truck hit a tree. And it appeared

786
00:41:50.679 --> 00:41:54.300
that maybe they came really close to hitting one and

787
00:41:54.320 --> 00:41:57.030
it let off its scent glands and stunk up the place.

788
00:41:57.150 --> 00:42:00.440
And I've always planned on kind of stopping at that

789
00:42:00.480 --> 00:42:03.250
house and asking them if they knew anything about it.

790
00:42:03.320 --> 00:42:05.119
But around here, you got to.

791
00:42:05.119 --> 00:42:08.369
Be careful where you go because people don't take kindly

792
00:42:08.409 --> 00:42:08.889
to visitors.

793
00:42:10.710 --> 00:42:14.610
You know, that's what I hear. There's definitely certain states where,

794
00:42:15.090 --> 00:42:18.789
you know, people just want to be left alone and maybe,

795
00:42:19.280 --> 00:42:21.099
you know, go up knocking on doors.

796
00:42:21.880 --> 00:42:22.119
No.

797
00:42:24.599 --> 00:42:24.880
Yeah.

798
00:42:25.860 --> 00:42:26.039
But.

799
00:42:26.610 --> 00:42:30.630
My nephew had a little run-in with one just this

800
00:42:30.710 --> 00:42:33.630
last hunting season, but he was up the Malala River.

801
00:42:34.730 --> 00:42:37.230
And he said he heard something walk up to him

802
00:42:37.269 --> 00:42:41.110
in the dark after he set up for bow hunting

803
00:42:41.750 --> 00:42:44.750
and then walk away. So he didn't really think a

804
00:42:44.769 --> 00:42:46.389
whole lot about it other than it might have been

805
00:42:46.409 --> 00:42:49.559
a deer. But after it became light and he sat

806
00:42:49.599 --> 00:42:52.119
around for a while and got up and started looking around,

807
00:42:52.599 --> 00:42:54.920
he found a couple of big footprints right near where

808
00:42:54.940 --> 00:43:00.610
he was sitting. yeah it just came up must have

809
00:43:00.630 --> 00:43:02.510
just looked at him and then turned around walked away

810
00:43:02.630 --> 00:43:05.630
he was lucky because I hear there's a few missing

811
00:43:05.710 --> 00:43:10.869
persons cases up the Malala River too do you.

812
00:43:10.789 --> 00:43:13.639
Do you think that and I know some people refer

813
00:43:13.659 --> 00:43:15.599
to that as missing 401 do you think that could

814
00:43:15.639 --> 00:43:19.420
potentially be connected to Sasquatch in that area.

815
00:43:21.719 --> 00:43:24.960
I would venture to say yes I mean what else

816
00:43:25.019 --> 00:43:28.190
is going to take a human down and and disappear you.

817
00:43:29.489 --> 00:43:32.239
And they're never found again. There's not much else out there.

818
00:43:33.440 --> 00:43:37.579
Your wealth of knowledge about this area, the Pacific Northwest,

819
00:43:37.739 --> 00:43:41.989
and thank you for hopping on and chatting about this.

820
00:43:42.010 --> 00:43:44.090
Would you be able to send me an email at

821
00:43:44.289 --> 00:43:47.489
BigfootSociety at gmail.com just so I, in case I ever

822
00:43:47.510 --> 00:43:51.010
want to send another question to you, I could follow.

823
00:43:50.809 --> 00:43:51.309
Up with you?

824
00:43:52.570 --> 00:43:56.909
Yeah, no problem. I'll get that out to you.

825
00:43:56.929 --> 00:43:57.929
Thank you for chatting tonight.

826
00:43:59.449 --> 00:44:00.250
You're welcome. Bye-bye.

827
00:44:00.329 --> 00:44:00.769
Here we go.

828
00:44:00.849 --> 00:44:01.250
Hi there.

829
00:44:01.289 --> 00:44:01.909
Is this gnome?

830
00:44:02.409 --> 00:44:05.269
Oh, yes, it is. Awesome.

831
00:44:05.369 --> 00:44:05.869
Awesome.

832
00:44:06.250 --> 00:44:10.179
You know, have the people know my encounter and everything

833
00:44:10.219 --> 00:44:10.559
like that.

834
00:44:11.679 --> 00:44:12.139
Yes, sir.

835
00:44:12.179 --> 00:44:12.679
Go right ahead.

836
00:44:12.699 --> 00:44:14.019
All right.

837
00:44:14.119 --> 00:44:18.840
So this was about last year. It was just coming out.

838
00:44:18.860 --> 00:44:21.969
It was about fall time, I'd say.

839
00:44:23.510 --> 00:44:26.119
And, uh, And I was, you know, taking a little

840
00:44:26.139 --> 00:44:27.019
hike with my dog.

841
00:44:28.659 --> 00:44:32.800
It was about, I'd say about somewhere at 8 to

842
00:44:32.800 --> 00:44:34.159
30 in the morning, I'd say.

843
00:44:34.179 --> 00:44:38.659
I was walking out. I was following this trail. It

844
00:44:39.400 --> 00:44:43.519
was at my grandma's at the moment. Following down this trail.

845
00:44:45.400 --> 00:44:49.280
My grandma was on this property for about 50 years,

846
00:44:49.360 --> 00:44:49.800
I'd say.

847
00:44:49.820 --> 00:44:49.889
And.

848
00:44:52.550 --> 00:44:58.730
This trail leads off into a, like a, a holler.

849
00:44:59.429 --> 00:45:00.050
That's holler.

850
00:45:00.670 --> 00:45:02.670
No, it goes on for miles at least.

851
00:45:04.090 --> 00:45:07.909
And, uh, we were just walking with the dog and

852
00:45:07.929 --> 00:45:12.630
I come across a, uh, you know, footprint, you know,

853
00:45:12.650 --> 00:45:13.690
I didn't think really much of it.

854
00:45:13.690 --> 00:45:16.219
I mean, I thought it was a big old boot print,

855
00:45:16.320 --> 00:45:19.559
but you know, uh, I have the picture. I'll, I'll

856
00:45:19.599 --> 00:45:20.780
definitely send it to your email.

857
00:45:21.739 --> 00:45:22.619
Yeah, okay.

858
00:45:23.099 --> 00:45:26.139
But I saw this footprint. I didn't think much of it, but,

859
00:45:26.739 --> 00:45:31.420
you know, it was so defined. But it looked at

860
00:45:31.440 --> 00:45:33.219
the boot at the same time. So, you know, I

861
00:45:33.260 --> 00:45:34.250
didn't really think much of it.

862
00:45:34.300 --> 00:45:41.199
So I continued walking down this trail. And, you know,

863
00:45:41.519 --> 00:45:43.780
my dog just starts going crazy. It looks right up

864
00:45:43.800 --> 00:45:47.369
the holler. It just, you know, there's a tree line

865
00:45:47.409 --> 00:45:51.050
up there. Because on the trail, it breaks off into

866
00:45:51.070 --> 00:45:54.630
the holler. And at the tree line, my dog just

867
00:45:54.650 --> 00:45:55.489
started going crazy.

868
00:45:55.510 --> 00:45:56.409
I don't know what it was.

869
00:45:57.489 --> 00:46:00.030
But all I hear is my dog just going crazy

870
00:46:00.070 --> 00:46:00.570
and nuts.

871
00:46:01.849 --> 00:46:05.949
And then I hear one of the most horrid sounds

872
00:46:06.050 --> 00:46:09.289
I think I've ever heard in my life. It was

873
00:46:09.329 --> 00:46:12.360
like a low grumble. It was like a growl, you know. And.

874
00:46:16.659 --> 00:46:18.800
Whenever I heard that, oh, man, my dog just went

875
00:46:18.840 --> 00:46:20.699
to shivers. I froze up.

876
00:46:20.800 --> 00:46:22.300
I mean, I didn't know what to do. I didn't

877
00:46:22.320 --> 00:46:27.010
know what to, you know, think of this. So, you know,

878
00:46:27.030 --> 00:46:30.550
I stood there for a little, about five minutes. You know,

879
00:46:31.210 --> 00:46:32.309
I heard like a thump.

880
00:46:34.030 --> 00:46:36.510
It was a huge, I'd say it was.

881
00:46:36.449 --> 00:46:42.809
About 12-inch round rock that got thrown down from that holler,

882
00:46:43.110 --> 00:46:43.809
that tree line.

883
00:46:44.610 --> 00:46:46.889
And it was at least three feet.

884
00:46:46.789 --> 00:46:50.210
Away from us, and then I hear another thump, and

885
00:46:50.269 --> 00:46:52.829
another rock hits the ground, and it was like he

886
00:46:52.869 --> 00:46:54.809
was trying to, you know, hit.

887
00:46:54.690 --> 00:46:56.579
Us with the rocks, or maybe want.

888
00:46:56.469 --> 00:46:58.559
Us to get out of there, so I get my dog,

889
00:46:58.599 --> 00:47:01.500
and we start walking back, you know, following the trail

890
00:47:01.539 --> 00:47:03.920
back to where we came, back to the house, and

891
00:47:03.940 --> 00:47:06.699
then I remember hearing this another low growl on that

892
00:47:06.780 --> 00:47:10.059
same tree line, but this time it was more ahead

893
00:47:10.099 --> 00:47:13.679
of us, and this time it was more defined, like

894
00:47:13.699 --> 00:47:17.429
he was more more lower in tone, but it was

895
00:47:17.659 --> 00:47:23.039
way more louder. So, you know, I stood there again,

896
00:47:23.059 --> 00:47:27.320
my dog is back to whining and I look up,

897
00:47:28.460 --> 00:47:30.280
you know, cause the sun, you know, it's just now

898
00:47:30.360 --> 00:47:33.130
breaching the tree line and everything. So I look up

899
00:47:33.190 --> 00:47:37.309
and I can clearly see, I'd say it was a

900
00:47:37.510 --> 00:47:43.980
huge arm reaching out from behind the tree. And what

901
00:47:44.019 --> 00:47:45.980
I can see is that it grabbed a limb.

902
00:47:46.000 --> 00:47:48.480
This limb is.

903
00:47:48.599 --> 00:47:49.480
Good size, too.

904
00:47:49.539 --> 00:47:51.030
I mean, I know that I couldn't break it.

905
00:47:51.920 --> 00:47:54.840
And it grabs it in the middle, and it just

906
00:47:55.340 --> 00:47:59.619
yanks it down. And it's made the loudest noise ever.

907
00:47:59.639 --> 00:48:03.860
It was the loudest break in that branch ever.

908
00:48:04.119 --> 00:48:06.280
And what it did with that branch is that it

909
00:48:07.239 --> 00:48:12.230
literally just threw it down at us. and that's whenever

910
00:48:12.389 --> 00:48:14.969
I just made a run for it. And I have

911
00:48:15.010 --> 00:48:17.389
not been back to my, like I haven't, like I've

912
00:48:17.409 --> 00:48:19.570
been back to my grandma's, but I've not been back

913
00:48:20.610 --> 00:48:23.780
to that holler ever again. And I, uh, I asked

914
00:48:23.800 --> 00:48:28.239
my grandma about it. She was like, you're, you're talking

915
00:48:28.260 --> 00:48:32.079
about that black man. I was like, black man.

916
00:48:32.219 --> 00:48:32.900
I was like, yeah.

917
00:48:33.039 --> 00:48:37.619
Did you see stuff being thrown at you? You know, cause,

918
00:48:39.869 --> 00:48:41.809
I'm guessing she's had an encounter and she was like,

919
00:48:42.530 --> 00:48:44.090
the black man, that's what I call him.

920
00:48:44.110 --> 00:48:48.590
I was like, okay. She said, she was, she's right now,

921
00:48:48.690 --> 00:48:50.010
she's about 76.

922
00:48:50.010 --> 00:48:54.860
She used, you know, whenever she was, you know, a

923
00:48:54.880 --> 00:48:56.800
little bit younger, she said that she would walk those

924
00:48:56.880 --> 00:48:59.280
trails and that she would get stuff thrown at her

925
00:48:59.340 --> 00:48:59.800
as well.

926
00:49:00.059 --> 00:49:02.960
Cause you know, my grandma rides horses, you.

927
00:49:02.900 --> 00:49:05.699
Know, that's why she can't really do many of these

928
00:49:05.739 --> 00:49:10.519
things because she says, that she had a huge limb

929
00:49:10.519 --> 00:49:14.309
thrown at her and it spooked the horse and she

930
00:49:14.309 --> 00:49:17.530
fell off and I think it was broke her, uh,

931
00:49:17.630 --> 00:49:20.409
spleen or something like that. I'm not really too sure.

932
00:49:21.349 --> 00:49:23.409
She says that she is not being back to that

933
00:49:23.489 --> 00:49:27.860
holler ever again. She says that whatever lives in that

934
00:49:27.929 --> 00:49:30.489
holler does not want anybody in there and does not

935
00:49:30.530 --> 00:49:35.039
want anything to do with anybody in that holler. Um,

936
00:49:36.889 --> 00:49:40.170
that's really all the encounter I had because like, I

937
00:49:40.210 --> 00:49:43.150
knew that that was a Bigfoot. I mean, the sound

938
00:49:43.210 --> 00:49:45.949
it made, like it literally, you know, I could feel

939
00:49:45.989 --> 00:49:50.280
it shaking, you know, inside of my body. And it

940
00:49:51.719 --> 00:49:55.780
was just a really interesting experience at the same time,

941
00:49:55.840 --> 00:50:00.389
traumatic because I mean, I mean, I was scared. Um,

942
00:50:01.150 --> 00:50:03.510
My grandma will talk about it every now and then.

943
00:50:03.710 --> 00:50:06.489
She says she actually has an audio recording of this

944
00:50:06.550 --> 00:50:10.719
low growl. I will definitely read everything that I have.

945
00:50:11.039 --> 00:50:16.719
She says that this was caught later in the night.

946
00:50:16.760 --> 00:50:20.800
This was 4, 3 in the morning. She says that

947
00:50:20.940 --> 00:50:27.309
she woke up to numerous of those low growls as

948
00:50:27.449 --> 00:50:31.389
if it was at least 30 yards away from the house.

949
00:50:31.550 --> 00:50:37.030
She swears it was, she says that it was, you know.

950
00:50:37.130 --> 00:50:41.809
Circling the house and out of here, you know, in Mississippi,

951
00:50:41.829 --> 00:50:48.030
there's not that many, you know, Bigfoot sightings. But whenever

952
00:50:48.070 --> 00:50:52.039
she told me this, I was absolutely shocked. I mean, not,

953
00:50:52.099 --> 00:50:54.159
not even that dog wants to go back down there

954
00:50:54.519 --> 00:50:57.340
on that holler. And it's one of those, uh, You know,

955
00:50:57.760 --> 00:50:59.920
German Shepherd is what I have. You know, this dog

956
00:50:59.940 --> 00:51:02.489
is pretty brave. This dog does not want to go

957
00:51:02.530 --> 00:51:09.769
in there. And this is close to last year's Thanksgiving,

958
00:51:10.150 --> 00:51:11.570
almost about the same time.

959
00:51:12.860 --> 00:51:15.880
And, you know, this dog, you know, we just got it.

960
00:51:16.539 --> 00:51:21.719
Wanted to go sniffing around the property. So it went throughout.

961
00:51:21.480 --> 00:51:23.420
The property while, you know, we were at my grandma's

962
00:51:23.440 --> 00:51:29.800
having Thanksgiving and everything. And, you know, I start, you know,

963
00:51:29.820 --> 00:51:32.579
I hear the dog going off in the holler, you know.

964
00:51:33.780 --> 00:51:38.119
So I kind of, you know, made myself down there.

965
00:51:38.260 --> 00:51:42.079
You know, I just stood at the tree line looking down.

966
00:51:42.119 --> 00:51:44.639
I couldn't see anything, but I still heard that dog barking.

967
00:51:46.159 --> 00:51:49.889
So, you know, I manned up. You know, I made

968
00:51:49.909 --> 00:51:54.349
my way down that trail just a small amount. And

969
00:51:55.130 --> 00:51:55.690
There it.

970
00:51:55.730 --> 00:52:03.530
Was, this eight to seven foot tall, brownish, dark brownish

971
00:52:03.610 --> 00:52:09.409
to black, you know, furry man standing there with my

972
00:52:09.489 --> 00:52:16.739
dog in its arms. And this thing just bolted down

973
00:52:16.780 --> 00:52:18.940
this holler, following the trail forward.

974
00:52:20.090 --> 00:52:23.269
And it kind of cut off into a little cave

975
00:52:23.309 --> 00:52:27.530
way because there's an unmarked cave that my grandma has.

976
00:52:28.570 --> 00:52:31.090
Us as kids, I mean, we used to go around

977
00:52:31.150 --> 00:52:34.510
down there and play around for a little bit. And

978
00:52:35.050 --> 00:52:39.070
this thing took that dog with it. And I have

979
00:52:39.250 --> 00:52:43.690
never heard of that dog ever again. And I went

980
00:52:43.750 --> 00:52:48.380
up there. My grandma was like, Grandma gets, hey, something.

981
00:52:48.400 --> 00:52:51.090
She's like, well, I'm like, the black man has got

982
00:52:51.119 --> 00:52:56.670
the dog. And I believe that this has got.

983
00:52:57.389 --> 00:53:00.869
To be one of the most aggressive Bigfoots I think

984
00:53:00.929 --> 00:53:04.619
I've ever heard of or ever encountered in my life.

985
00:53:05.820 --> 00:53:08.500
Because this thing literally looked right at me in my eyes.

986
00:53:09.360 --> 00:53:11.769
It let out, it was like a howl on us.

987
00:53:11.809 --> 00:53:12.090
It was.

988
00:53:13.929 --> 00:53:16.969
Like a, ooh. But way more lower. This thing had

989
00:53:17.010 --> 00:53:21.280
a very low tone to it. And it just took off.

990
00:53:22.539 --> 00:53:28.079
I'm talking about, it would have took me 50.

991
00:53:26.440 --> 00:53:28.260
Steps to get where it was. And it only took

992
00:53:28.280 --> 00:53:29.280
you at about 15.

993
00:53:29.280 --> 00:53:35.210
And I've never heard of that dog again.

994
00:53:35.230 --> 00:53:35.789
Shaggy Hair.

995
00:53:35.869 --> 00:53:36.650
Shaggy Hair.

996
00:53:37.610 --> 00:53:40.250
It had pretty good shaggy hair to it, and it

997
00:53:40.289 --> 00:53:44.190
had a pretty bad smell to go along with that.

998
00:53:44.809 --> 00:53:48.340
That smell ruined my appetite for at least two days

999
00:53:48.400 --> 00:53:53.159
because it was just horrid. It smelled as if, you

1000
00:53:53.199 --> 00:53:56.099
know how roadkill smells, right? You know, very bad and

1001
00:53:56.139 --> 00:53:59.739
everything sits in the sun, rotten. That's what that thing

1002
00:53:59.840 --> 00:54:04.639
smelled like. It did not smell right. And the look

1003
00:54:04.719 --> 00:54:08.880
it gave me, it did not show no fear. But

1004
00:54:08.980 --> 00:54:11.219
I don't know why, you know, it could have probably

1005
00:54:11.280 --> 00:54:12.969
ran up to me and grabbed me and I would

1006
00:54:12.989 --> 00:54:13.820
have been done for.

1007
00:54:15.469 --> 00:54:15.769
Nice.

1008
00:54:16.110 --> 00:54:21.329
Whenever it turned to go running, like I'm talking about

1009
00:54:21.530 --> 00:54:25.809
its arms, but literally its arms were almost down to

1010
00:54:25.849 --> 00:54:27.090
like its calf muscle.

1011
00:54:27.650 --> 00:54:31.050
This thing was at least seven, eight foot tall. It

1012
00:54:31.110 --> 00:54:32.530
was an enormous one.

1013
00:54:32.590 --> 00:54:36.570
I'd say probably almost 1,000 pounds because that thing had

1014
00:54:36.590 --> 00:54:40.070
some girth to it. I really do truly believe that

1015
00:54:40.170 --> 00:54:43.050
it was a Bigfoot that I saw. I don't think

1016
00:54:43.090 --> 00:54:47.539
anybody can change my mind, but I will definitely send

1017
00:54:47.559 --> 00:54:51.780
you on your email the pictures and audio recording that

1018
00:54:51.800 --> 00:54:52.579
my grandma has.

1019
00:54:54.000 --> 00:54:56.920
All right. Thank you, Noam, for sharing.

1020
00:54:59.239 --> 00:55:00.230
Hi there, AKC.

1021
00:55:00.269 --> 00:55:03.590
This is Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society. It sounds like you

1022
00:55:03.630 --> 00:55:05.789
had some interesting things happen in Mississippi.

1023
00:55:07.730 --> 00:55:12.980
Yeah, when I was about 14, me, my cousin and

1024
00:55:13.019 --> 00:55:18.480
my mother were walking back from a big racetrack that

1025
00:55:18.519 --> 00:55:22.820
my uncles were building for car racing. And we got

1026
00:55:22.889 --> 00:55:25.630
muddy and we were in trouble. And my mother was

1027
00:55:25.690 --> 00:55:28.750
kind of whipping us all the way back home. And

1028
00:55:28.909 --> 00:55:31.389
I turned around and looked and my mom was standing

1029
00:55:31.449 --> 00:55:33.590
in the middle of the road, staring off at something

1030
00:55:33.630 --> 00:55:35.730
to the right of the road in like a big

1031
00:55:35.769 --> 00:55:41.159
bamboo patch. And when Danny and I turned and looked,

1032
00:55:41.639 --> 00:55:46.019
it was this big white, kind of white brownish animal.

1033
00:55:46.099 --> 00:55:48.900
We didn't know what it was standing there looking at

1034
00:55:48.980 --> 00:55:51.159
us in the middle of the road, probably less than

1035
00:55:51.159 --> 00:55:55.059
50 yards from us. And like I said, I know

1036
00:55:55.139 --> 00:55:57.219
my mom was running and we all just ran back

1037
00:55:57.260 --> 00:56:00.469
to the house and White as a ghost and never

1038
00:56:00.530 --> 00:56:01.949
talked about it again after that.

1039
00:56:01.969 --> 00:56:02.889
Just scared us.

1040
00:56:04.210 --> 00:56:05.050
Wow.

1041
00:56:05.199 --> 00:56:06.050
What year was this?

1042
00:56:07.030 --> 00:56:11.119
This was probably, I'd say 1985, 86. Okay.

1043
00:56:14.380 --> 00:56:19.460
And was this by any like big nature areas or

1044
00:56:19.840 --> 00:56:20.500
anything like that?

1045
00:56:20.539 --> 00:56:26.199
This is a real, real remote country area in Midway, Mississippi.

1046
00:56:27.679 --> 00:56:32.739
And what we learned over the years, all of the

1047
00:56:32.800 --> 00:56:37.219
people out there had seen something like this, but just

1048
00:56:37.260 --> 00:56:38.179
never talked about it.

1049
00:56:39.619 --> 00:56:42.139
Really? Years and years.

1050
00:56:41.860 --> 00:56:47.380
Have passed, and we've met other family members and other

1051
00:56:47.460 --> 00:56:48.699
neighbors that had kids.

1052
00:56:49.659 --> 00:56:53.210
And when we told them our stories, they would turn.

1053
00:56:53.030 --> 00:56:53.809
White as a ghost.

1054
00:56:54.840 --> 00:56:56.690
And say man you know they would just tell us

1055
00:56:56.730 --> 00:56:59.909
the stories that they they saw as well so it's.

1056
00:56:59.829 --> 00:57:02.829
Something that's kind of a little folklore out there but

1057
00:57:03.530 --> 00:57:07.550
it's definitely you can feel the presence of something in

1058
00:57:07.570 --> 00:57:10.599
the woods i hunt out there and i still won't

1059
00:57:10.639 --> 00:57:13.460
go out there after dark and i'm 52.

1060
00:57:13.219 --> 00:57:16.739
Now oh wow so i'm not able to pull up

1061
00:57:16.820 --> 00:57:20.469
a map right now um is midway is that by

1062
00:57:20.809 --> 00:57:24.280
uh One of the state borders or where is that

1063
00:57:24.360 --> 00:57:25.599
exactly in the state?

1064
00:57:25.940 --> 00:57:28.800
It's up by Yazoo City, Mississippi.

1065
00:57:28.820 --> 00:57:33.190
And it's near, so it would be kind of off

1066
00:57:33.309 --> 00:57:38.489
Highway 55, but it would be Midway, Benton, Mississippi.

1067
00:57:39.469 --> 00:57:39.989
Gotcha.

1068
00:57:40.469 --> 00:57:42.309
Now, when you were talking to the other people that

1069
00:57:42.349 --> 00:57:46.050
had also seen things, did they describe it as having

1070
00:57:46.090 --> 00:57:47.699
like a similar color to what you saw?

1071
00:57:48.179 --> 00:57:49.659
Yep. Yep.

1072
00:57:50.119 --> 00:57:54.510
And one of the craziest stories, I went back probably

1073
00:57:55.210 --> 00:57:58.090
six or seven years ago and went to one of

1074
00:57:58.130 --> 00:58:01.710
my friend's house and he had bought a piece of

1075
00:58:01.750 --> 00:58:06.170
property that one of our other friends, one of our

1076
00:58:06.769 --> 00:58:08.150
family friends had owned.

1077
00:58:08.030 --> 00:58:09.340
For years and years and years.

1078
00:58:09.610 --> 00:58:12.079
And he had a house there burned down and he

1079
00:58:12.119 --> 00:58:14.519
had a trailer put on the property.

1080
00:58:14.619 --> 00:58:16.260
What you're going to rebuild his property.

1081
00:58:17.139 --> 00:58:19.239
And when I pulled up there, I mean, I hadn't

1082
00:58:19.280 --> 00:58:22.219
seen anybody in 15 years. And of course, I've never

1083
00:58:22.320 --> 00:58:24.440
told Randy or anybody about what we saw.

1084
00:58:25.400 --> 00:58:27.199
And I pulled up to his house and he called

1085
00:58:27.219 --> 00:58:28.739
me on the phone. He said, are you here? And

1086
00:58:28.780 --> 00:58:31.119
I said, yeah. And so he came out to the

1087
00:58:31.179 --> 00:58:33.139
truck where I was. It's kind of a little walk

1088
00:58:33.219 --> 00:58:36.980
to where the trailer was. And and he came out

1089
00:58:37.019 --> 00:58:39.780
with a gun and he was like, I'll come get you.

1090
00:58:40.840 --> 00:58:42.219
I didn't understand what was going on.

1091
00:58:42.219 --> 00:58:45.110
I was like, what's what do you what's what's wrong?

1092
00:58:45.809 --> 00:58:47.130
and he goes, man, I don't even know how to

1093
00:58:47.170 --> 00:58:50.309
tell you this, so we went inside the trailer, and

1094
00:58:50.409 --> 00:58:53.530
he said that he came home, he worked for a

1095
00:58:57.690 --> 00:59:01.090
lineman as far as repairing electricity lines, so he would

1096
00:59:01.130 --> 00:59:03.570
be gone for quite a bit, quite a time, you know,

1097
00:59:03.769 --> 00:59:07.829
repairing when storms and stuff happened, so he said he.

1098
00:59:07.769 --> 00:59:10.190
Came home real early one night, and when.

1099
00:59:10.130 --> 00:59:12.949
He pulled up to the house, he could see the trailer,

1100
00:59:13.489 --> 00:59:17.409
and his headlights flashed on something white, and it was

1101
00:59:17.530 --> 00:59:20.820
looking in the windows of the trailer where his family was.

1102
00:59:22.179 --> 00:59:24.860
And he said this one wasn't, he said it was

1103
00:59:25.119 --> 00:59:26.000
about six foot.

1104
00:59:26.019 --> 00:59:28.590
Wasn't very big, But he said he turned around and

1105
00:59:28.610 --> 00:59:30.590
looked at it, and he said it was something just.

1106
00:59:30.409 --> 00:59:33.989
Huge, hairy, kind of a brownish-white tent.

1107
00:59:34.050 --> 00:59:37.219
And this is 20 years later, but if you think

1108
00:59:37.300 --> 00:59:39.639
about it, we pulled it up on a map, and

1109
00:59:39.699 --> 00:59:42.599
we went from where I had our encounter when we

1110
00:59:42.619 --> 00:59:46.239
were kids. It's probably less than five or six miles

1111
00:59:46.760 --> 00:59:50.280
from where the crow flies, you know, from where we were.

1112
00:59:50.360 --> 00:59:54.320
So it's definitely something in the area, and I think

1113
00:59:54.579 --> 00:59:58.980
more people that have seen it than... than know about

1114
00:59:59.039 --> 01:00:02.480
because they just don't talk about it. But it's definitely

1115
01:00:02.500 --> 01:00:05.480
something out there. You can feel it in the woods

1116
01:00:05.820 --> 01:00:09.360
when you're out there hunting. Even people I've brought out

1117
01:00:09.400 --> 01:00:12.579
there that don't know anything about it, they come back

1118
01:00:12.619 --> 01:00:15.929
and say, man, I got a creepy feeling being in

1119
01:00:15.969 --> 01:00:16.489
these woods.

1120
01:00:17.449 --> 01:00:19.710
So just kind of an old folklore out there, but

1121
01:00:19.949 --> 01:00:22.170
I saw it myself. My mother saw it. My cousin

1122
01:00:22.190 --> 01:00:22.530
saw it.

1123
01:00:23.809 --> 01:00:27.250
That's amazing. When you saw it, in the middle of

1124
01:00:27.289 --> 01:00:30.289
the road, were you able to, do you remember any

1125
01:00:30.329 --> 01:00:31.889
details of the face at all?

1126
01:00:32.250 --> 01:00:35.110
Yeah, it was kind of a weird, it didn't, it

1127
01:00:35.150 --> 01:00:38.030
doesn't really match what a lot of people.

1128
01:00:39.409 --> 01:00:42.239
Kind of think of a, you know, I got, I

1129
01:00:42.280 --> 01:00:43.239
was 14 too.

1130
01:00:43.920 --> 01:00:49.280
So what I remember when it turned and looked at us,

1131
01:00:49.880 --> 01:00:54.699
it almost had ears that were almost looked like a,

1132
01:00:55.610 --> 01:00:59.340
like pointed ears, you know, that were like pointing up

1133
01:00:59.409 --> 01:01:03.800
in the air and the face didn't look like a

1134
01:01:03.929 --> 01:01:06.889
human face. It almost looked like a muzzle, like a,

1135
01:01:07.920 --> 01:01:15.460
like a dog. But this thing was, this thing was probably,

1136
01:01:15.480 --> 01:01:18.519
we went back and looked at it and it was

1137
01:01:18.619 --> 01:01:21.460
probably about seven to eight foot tall standing in the

1138
01:01:21.500 --> 01:01:25.579
bamboo where, where, We saw it. My dad and all

1139
01:01:25.619 --> 01:01:28.219
that went back and looked and they could see where

1140
01:01:28.260 --> 01:01:31.590
something was standing in the bamboo and it flattened it out.

1141
01:01:33.150 --> 01:01:34.769
They found white hairs everywhere.

1142
01:01:36.130 --> 01:01:38.590
What were the legs? Do you remember anything about the legs?

1143
01:01:39.849 --> 01:01:42.070
Couldn't see the legs. The legs were in the bamboo.

1144
01:01:43.789 --> 01:01:45.710
So it wasn't standing in the middle of the road.

1145
01:01:45.789 --> 01:01:47.860
We were in the middle of the road and it

1146
01:01:47.889 --> 01:01:50.500
was over off the side of the road. And there's

1147
01:01:50.519 --> 01:01:53.340
a creek that runs right beside the road. And there's

1148
01:01:53.530 --> 01:01:57.420
big bamboo patch that grows right up the side of

1149
01:01:57.460 --> 01:01:57.900
that creek.

1150
01:01:58.980 --> 01:02:01.340
And we could see it when we turned and looked.

1151
01:02:02.500 --> 01:02:06.280
The kind of the torso and the shoulders of the

1152
01:02:06.400 --> 01:02:09.960
animal was standing in the bamboo. And it turned and

1153
01:02:10.000 --> 01:02:12.980
like looked at us standing in the road. And we

1154
01:02:13.000 --> 01:02:14.920
didn't see it after that because we turned around and ran.

1155
01:02:15.679 --> 01:02:19.119
You know, we weren't looking crazy whenever your mom, your cousin,

1156
01:02:19.780 --> 01:02:21.760
all three of us saw it at the same exact time.

1157
01:02:22.179 --> 01:02:22.900
Absolutely.

1158
01:02:22.980 --> 01:02:25.800
I mean, it's just a really interesting description. It almost

1159
01:02:25.920 --> 01:02:30.530
sounds more like a canine creature than a Bigfoot creature.

1160
01:02:30.550 --> 01:02:31.429
I don't know. What do you think?

1161
01:02:31.889 --> 01:02:35.130
The coat of it looked like a canine creature to us.

1162
01:02:36.309 --> 01:02:39.409
And my mother described it the same way. And my

1163
01:02:39.469 --> 01:02:42.489
cousin described it the same way. But the hair was

1164
01:02:42.630 --> 01:02:47.789
kind of like brown, but like dirty ends. And the

1165
01:02:47.829 --> 01:02:50.530
other thing we remember, it smelled.

1166
01:02:50.219 --> 01:02:51.070
Like rotten eggs.

1167
01:02:54.260 --> 01:02:58.050
Like just something rotten. That's how close we were.

1168
01:02:59.369 --> 01:03:04.969
I'm almost, I'm wondering if maybe you didn't stumble upon

1169
01:03:05.010 --> 01:03:06.150
a dog man as well.

1170
01:03:06.449 --> 01:03:06.949
I don't know.

1171
01:03:07.969 --> 01:03:10.980
Well, it's all kind of folklore out there.

1172
01:03:11.619 --> 01:03:12.360
Okay.

1173
01:03:12.800 --> 01:03:18.760
And my grandmother told me about Patches of Woods. that

1174
01:03:18.940 --> 01:03:21.500
they would try to cut through to go to school

1175
01:03:21.559 --> 01:03:22.139
and go to the.

1176
01:03:22.119 --> 01:03:24.719
Stores and stuff. And this is a real, real remote

1177
01:03:24.840 --> 01:03:25.699
part of Mississippi.

1178
01:03:26.539 --> 01:03:30.500
And there were patches of woods that their parents and

1179
01:03:30.539 --> 01:03:34.090
grandparents forbid them to go in. Like, you can't go

1180
01:03:34.159 --> 01:03:39.150
across there. And whenever my grandmother, she would, they would

1181
01:03:39.190 --> 01:03:42.250
do it anyway. She said that whatever was in there

1182
01:03:42.289 --> 01:03:45.650
would always follow them and chase them. They could never

1183
01:03:45.710 --> 01:03:47.860
see it because it was thick. They just could see

1184
01:03:47.889 --> 01:03:51.449
the grass coming at them like something was moving through

1185
01:03:51.469 --> 01:03:55.269
the grass, but it would chase them out, chase.

1186
01:03:55.070 --> 01:03:55.809
Them out of the woods.

1187
01:03:56.929 --> 01:03:59.429
So it didn't make any noise. We don't remember any noise.

1188
01:03:59.690 --> 01:04:01.909
I don't remember any noise that it made other than

1189
01:04:03.030 --> 01:04:07.239
the grasses around it, but it was right at dusk,

1190
01:04:07.900 --> 01:04:11.119
and there was a sun kind of going down and

1191
01:04:11.199 --> 01:04:15.480
behind it, and the sun shining on it kind of

1192
01:04:15.519 --> 01:04:19.110
made it, kind of glowing, kind of red looking eyes, but,

1193
01:04:20.320 --> 01:04:21.010
but we, we.

1194
01:04:20.969 --> 01:04:21.469
All saw it.

1195
01:04:24.130 --> 01:04:28.090
It's an incredible story. Thank you for sharing, uh, what

1196
01:04:28.150 --> 01:04:31.130
you experienced and, and what you've kind of found by

1197
01:04:31.170 --> 01:04:34.090
doing some, some research as well in the area and,

1198
01:04:34.570 --> 01:04:36.949
and definitely, uh, keep us informed if you, if you

1199
01:04:37.010 --> 01:04:40.059
run into any other reports in that area, but, uh,

1200
01:04:40.099 --> 01:04:41.920
thank you for, for chatting AKC.

1201
01:04:42.380 --> 01:04:44.539
No problem, bud. I'll, I'll shoot you a little, uh, friend,

1202
01:04:44.619 --> 01:04:45.639
I'll shoot you a little DM.

1203
01:04:45.659 --> 01:04:47.260
Um, All right.

1204
01:04:47.599 --> 01:04:50.139
Thank you, sir. Appreciate that. Give this a try.

1205
01:04:50.260 --> 01:04:51.079
Hey, Bartholomew.

1206
01:04:51.099 --> 01:04:53.860
This is Jeremiah from Bigfoot Society. What do you have

1207
01:04:53.880 --> 01:04:54.579
to share, my friend?

1208
01:04:55.840 --> 01:04:58.889
So I have actually seen Bigfoot.

1209
01:05:00.170 --> 01:05:00.489
Okay.

1210
01:05:01.449 --> 01:05:05.110
So I was camping with the family, the wife, the kids.

1211
01:05:06.050 --> 01:05:09.699
We're out in the camper. It's like it was middle

1212
01:05:09.780 --> 01:05:11.340
of the night. It was maybe like 4 or 3 a.m.

1213
01:05:11.380 --> 01:05:14.480
I forgot. It was like a year ago.

1214
01:05:14.539 --> 01:05:16.630
And I hear something outside the door, so I wake up.

1215
01:05:18.059 --> 01:05:20.699
And I look outside, and I see something, and I

1216
01:05:20.760 --> 01:05:25.480
can't really make it out too well. So I crack

1217
01:05:25.519 --> 01:05:32.630
the door, and I see this tall figure, like nine

1218
01:05:32.690 --> 01:05:35.570
feet tall, maybe ten. I couldn't retell. I just know

1219
01:05:35.610 --> 01:05:40.750
he was really, really tall. And he looked like the

1220
01:05:40.789 --> 01:05:43.090
pictures of Bigfoot that I had seen, like a big

1221
01:05:43.530 --> 01:05:45.409
furry monster. So.

1222
01:05:47.320 --> 01:05:49.760
I saw him, and I just kind of froze. And

1223
01:05:49.780 --> 01:05:53.389
then he walked away, and I was just in shock.

1224
01:05:53.730 --> 01:05:55.489
So I closed the door, and I went back to bed.

1225
01:05:56.349 --> 01:05:59.949
And the next morning, I told my family they didn't

1226
01:05:59.989 --> 01:06:03.469
believe me, but I know I saw him. So, yeah,

1227
01:06:03.489 --> 01:06:06.059
that's what happened.

1228
01:06:06.099 --> 01:06:08.039
What area was that in, Bartholomew?

1229
01:06:10.139 --> 01:06:12.780
So I'm up in Pennsylvania, so the Appalachian Mountains. It

1230
01:06:12.820 --> 01:06:15.949
was near I forgot because we go camping a lot,

1231
01:06:16.130 --> 01:06:22.360
but it was about 30 minutes out of Bonn. I'm sorry,

1232
01:06:23.260 --> 01:06:23.780
out of.

1233
01:06:25.920 --> 01:06:30.280
I forget the town name. It was near Diplasia Mountains

1234
01:06:30.320 --> 01:06:31.000
in Pennsylvania.

1235
01:06:32.420 --> 01:06:38.989
Okay. Yeah, that must have been quite the thing to see.

1236
01:06:39.550 --> 01:06:41.489
You said around 3 to 4 a.m. Did you get

1237
01:06:41.530 --> 01:06:42.730
a good look at its face at all?

1238
01:06:43.849 --> 01:06:44.849
Yeah, it looked like.

1239
01:06:48.349 --> 01:06:49.449
It looked....

1240
01:06:51.250 --> 01:06:52.650
It was really wrinkly.

1241
01:06:53.750 --> 01:06:55.139
And it's like mouth.

1242
01:06:56.659 --> 01:07:00.000
The lines of its mouth just kind of dipped. Like

1243
01:07:00.059 --> 01:07:02.659
an old person's mouth. That looks kind of like a doll.

1244
01:07:03.099 --> 01:07:03.880
Like a wooden doll.

1245
01:07:03.980 --> 01:07:04.619
It looked like that.

1246
01:07:11.699 --> 01:07:13.699
Were you able to look at its eyes at all.

1247
01:07:15.590 --> 01:07:16.599
No, it was too dark.

1248
01:07:16.659 --> 01:07:20.559
I just saw the lines on his face, but his

1249
01:07:21.219 --> 01:07:21.980
eyes were dark.

1250
01:07:24.320 --> 01:07:24.800
Gotcha.

1251
01:07:25.460 --> 01:07:28.800
Interesting. Did you ever hear of any other sightings that

1252
01:07:28.860 --> 01:07:31.730
occurred in the same, I would guess you may be

1253
01:07:31.789 --> 01:07:38.289
in a campground?

1254
01:07:39.449 --> 01:07:41.929
No, because I didn't really pay attention.

1255
01:07:42.900 --> 01:07:43.659
I didn't really know.

1256
01:07:43.679 --> 01:07:46.059
I didn't really care about Bigfoot before I saw him.

1257
01:07:46.699 --> 01:07:50.159
And then when I told my family and they were like,

1258
01:07:50.199 --> 01:07:53.079
you're crazy. I kind of just forgot about it. But

1259
01:07:53.119 --> 01:07:56.170
then it's been bothering me these past few days. And

1260
01:07:56.210 --> 01:07:57.489
then I came across your live.

1261
01:07:57.510 --> 01:07:58.090
I don't know why.

1262
01:07:58.110 --> 01:08:01.809
I've just been having dreams about it. And so I

1263
01:08:01.829 --> 01:08:03.869
came across your live and thought I'd talk about it.

1264
01:08:06.070 --> 01:08:06.369
What are.

1265
01:08:07.289 --> 01:08:10.889
The dreams you're having, are they just replaying what happened

1266
01:08:10.989 --> 01:08:12.349
that night?

1267
01:08:12.769 --> 01:08:14.269
It's like I'm right there that night.

1268
01:08:17.770 --> 01:08:21.899
Is there any communication that's happening through those, you think?

1269
01:08:21.979 --> 01:08:25.340
Is anything trying to talk to you during those?

1270
01:08:26.119 --> 01:08:28.720
It seems like it gets closer every time, but it's

1271
01:08:28.760 --> 01:08:31.380
like it gets closer, but I still can't.

1272
01:08:31.420 --> 01:08:32.300
See it well.

1273
01:08:34.380 --> 01:08:34.520
Hmm.

1274
01:08:37.159 --> 01:08:45.699
It's very interesting. Well, I hope that hopefully those don't

1275
01:08:45.760 --> 01:08:51.000
continue for too long unless that's a way you'll be

1276
01:08:51.039 --> 01:08:54.239
able to get some answers. But yeah, dreams and Bigfoot

1277
01:08:54.340 --> 01:08:56.279
Sasquatch can be a very interesting things.

1278
01:08:56.300 --> 01:08:56.359
So.

1279
01:09:01.560 --> 01:09:04.260
Well thank you for for hopping on and sharing what

1280
01:09:04.300 --> 01:09:06.289
you've what you experienced thank.

1281
01:09:06.189 --> 01:09:07.649
You i've been meaning to get this on my chest

1282
01:09:07.689 --> 01:09:09.750
for someone that would actually you know kind of like

1283
01:09:09.930 --> 01:09:11.470
have an idea of it so thank.

1284
01:09:11.289 --> 01:09:17.670
You absolutely have a great great night Hey, Robert, this

1285
01:09:17.770 --> 01:09:20.689
is Jeremiah. Thanks for reaching out. What do you have

1286
01:09:20.710 --> 01:09:21.649
to share today, Robert?

1287
01:09:24.750 --> 01:09:33.380
I had a sighting in Nanaimo, BC. It was 2018. Nanaimo,

1288
01:09:33.439 --> 01:09:39.680
BC isn't a very big city. The part of town

1289
01:09:39.699 --> 01:09:46.949
that I lived in was actually an apartment complex um

1290
01:09:47.109 --> 01:09:53.659
that was fairly in a ways into town so like

1291
01:09:53.800 --> 01:09:58.500
the nearest forest would be probably the uh probably like

1292
01:09:58.560 --> 01:10:04.050
a mile away or so like heavy thick forest um

1293
01:10:04.229 --> 01:10:07.130
area or and they have a lot of little streams

1294
01:10:07.189 --> 01:10:09.770
going through this little town of Nanaimo it's like really

1295
01:10:09.909 --> 01:10:14.289
quaint but anyways One night I was walking back home

1296
01:10:14.550 --> 01:10:17.630
from a friend's place. It was really late. It was

1297
01:10:17.689 --> 01:10:22.189
like 2 a.m. And it was summertime. I remember that.

1298
01:10:23.569 --> 01:10:26.500
And the area that I walked up, it was on

1299
01:10:26.520 --> 01:10:34.420
7th Avenue and Short area, if anybody knows that. Anyways,

1300
01:10:35.220 --> 01:10:37.449
when I walked up this street, there's a.

1301
01:10:39.409 --> 01:10:40.569
Deer trail.

1302
01:10:41.260 --> 01:10:45.020
That actually went through a person's yard and these deer would,

1303
01:10:45.239 --> 01:10:47.479
they would go through this trail and they would actually

1304
01:10:47.520 --> 01:10:51.560
go right onto the road. And this was three in

1305
01:10:51.579 --> 01:10:54.939
the morning. And it was a really wild sight to

1306
01:10:55.000 --> 01:10:58.380
see because as I was walking up, there was a

1307
01:10:58.439 --> 01:11:05.829
herd of deer. And I casually walked up around them

1308
01:11:06.710 --> 01:11:10.310
and one, a small one came up to me and

1309
01:11:10.449 --> 01:11:14.520
I was I was like really freaked out because I

1310
01:11:14.800 --> 01:11:17.439
had never been this close to a deer before and

1311
01:11:17.479 --> 01:11:20.279
I had never touched a deer. And this deer came

1312
01:11:20.359 --> 01:11:23.520
up to me and it was fairly small and I

1313
01:11:23.560 --> 01:11:27.750
pet its head and I felt its fur and I

1314
01:11:27.810 --> 01:11:31.109
never felt deer fur before in my life and it's

1315
01:11:31.210 --> 01:11:36.390
really coarse. I mean really coarse. And I stroked its

1316
01:11:36.449 --> 01:11:39.899
back and its head a couple times and I stepped

1317
01:11:39.939 --> 01:11:44.260
back And I looked at him or her and the

1318
01:11:44.300 --> 01:11:46.539
other deer, there was probably about four or five other

1319
01:11:46.579 --> 01:11:51.390
deer standing in the middle of the road. And I

1320
01:11:51.409 --> 01:11:54.390
just kind of stepped back in awe. And I was like, wow,

1321
01:11:54.430 --> 01:11:57.069
so cool. And I said, well, thank you. And then

1322
01:11:57.210 --> 01:12:01.869
I turned around and I walked up the hill to

1323
01:12:01.909 --> 01:12:09.689
my apartment. My apartment unit, I had a huge sliding

1324
01:12:09.750 --> 01:12:14.949
glass door that I left unlocked. And this was, like

1325
01:12:14.989 --> 01:12:16.930
I said, three in the morning, I just, I walked

1326
01:12:16.970 --> 01:12:22.970
down the street, Short Avenue. And this is, the area is,

1327
01:12:23.189 --> 01:12:27.119
it's a neighborhood, it's populated. And I walked up and

1328
01:12:27.479 --> 01:12:30.560
I would keep it unlocked. So I opened my sliding

1329
01:12:30.619 --> 01:12:34.060
glass door. This is where, this is where it just,

1330
01:12:35.239 --> 01:12:38.800
oh my gosh, my heart is pounding right now. So

1331
01:12:38.920 --> 01:12:42.350
I opened the sliding glass door and I go into

1332
01:12:42.390 --> 01:12:45.970
my living room and I close it behind me. And

1333
01:12:45.989 --> 01:12:51.989
I have slats for blinds. There were those slats and

1334
01:12:52.109 --> 01:12:55.810
they would move back and forth until they would stop

1335
01:12:56.220 --> 01:13:00.020
by themselves, right? And so I turned around and I

1336
01:13:00.079 --> 01:13:04.640
went into my kitchen and I turned the light on

1337
01:13:04.739 --> 01:13:08.390
and I started situating myself in my living room. I

1338
01:13:08.449 --> 01:13:11.340
was going to sit down and smoke a cigarette. And

1339
01:13:12.479 --> 01:13:15.619
oh my gosh. As soon as I sat down, I

1340
01:13:16.279 --> 01:13:19.779
was in the apartment for maybe two minutes. As soon

1341
01:13:19.819 --> 01:13:26.890
as I sat down, the sliding glass door was being pounded.

1342
01:13:26.069 --> 01:13:28.750
On so hard.

1343
01:13:29.590 --> 01:13:34.630
So hard. It sounded like it was going to smash.

1344
01:13:34.649 --> 01:13:38.430
I jumped up because it was like, three, four feet

1345
01:13:38.470 --> 01:13:42.189
in front of me. I jumped up and I kind

1346
01:13:42.229 --> 01:13:46.270
of got mad. I kind of got mad because where

1347
01:13:46.289 --> 01:13:48.949
I'd come from, there was somebody that was bothering me.

1348
01:13:48.970 --> 01:13:51.710
And I was wondering if like, well, did this person

1349
01:13:51.750 --> 01:13:54.680
follow me back and, uh, you don't want to start

1350
01:13:54.729 --> 01:13:57.380
trouble with me. And so I kind of got mad

1351
01:13:57.800 --> 01:14:02.380
and it just kept pounding. And I walked up to my, uh,

1352
01:14:02.500 --> 01:14:05.890
up to the slats and And I brushed him aside

1353
01:14:06.310 --> 01:14:10.149
so I could look outside. And oh my gosh, this guy,

1354
01:14:10.489 --> 01:14:14.949
this guy, this guy was standing there. And he had

1355
01:14:15.449 --> 01:14:18.250
the meanest looking face on his, look on his face.

1356
01:14:18.489 --> 01:14:24.159
He took up the whole, the whole width of my

1357
01:14:24.220 --> 01:14:29.380
sliding glass door, like five, six feet wide. And he

1358
01:14:29.439 --> 01:14:32.199
had to kind of stoop down. And he was, he

1359
01:14:32.260 --> 01:14:35.859
was looking at me. And he was pissed. I don't

1360
01:14:35.899 --> 01:14:40.489
know what he was mad at. But in that one

1361
01:14:40.789 --> 01:14:44.430
second that I scooped my slats and I seen that face,

1362
01:14:45.170 --> 01:14:52.579
my body had reacted so fast that my feet had

1363
01:14:52.699 --> 01:14:57.659
actually pushed me back into my kitchen hallway and I

1364
01:14:57.739 --> 01:15:03.210
landed on my ass. And I started crawling back like

1365
01:15:03.229 --> 01:15:06.689
a spider backwards and I couldn't take my eyes off

1366
01:15:06.729 --> 01:15:09.850
of those slats. And I kept looking at those slats.

1367
01:15:09.909 --> 01:15:13.920
The slats kept moving because when I scooped them aside,

1368
01:15:14.420 --> 01:15:16.859
the force of them coming back, they kept going back

1369
01:15:16.939 --> 01:15:21.140
and forth. And I kept going back. And as I

1370
01:15:21.180 --> 01:15:24.180
looked at the slats, I didn't see him anymore. But

1371
01:15:24.239 --> 01:15:27.909
I'm telling you, this guy was, he was huge and

1372
01:15:27.949 --> 01:15:31.699
he was pissed. I mean, I could just feel the rage.

1373
01:15:32.279 --> 01:15:35.399
I could feel the rage from him pounding on my

1374
01:15:35.520 --> 01:15:41.359
sliding glass window door and just the look, just the

1375
01:15:41.420 --> 01:15:41.920
look that.

1376
01:15:41.840 --> 01:15:42.399
He gave me.

1377
01:15:42.420 --> 01:15:47.939
And I have, I have, I think I know why.

1378
01:15:47.960 --> 01:15:56.399
I've heard and read about so many testimony about them

1379
01:15:56.600 --> 01:15:57.239
and Deere.

1380
01:15:57.939 --> 01:15:58.199
They.

1381
01:15:58.909 --> 01:16:04.779
deer is one of their main courses. And I don't

1382
01:16:04.859 --> 01:16:09.960
know if he got pissed from me touching that deer

1383
01:16:11.039 --> 01:16:13.260
because there was nothing else that I could think of

1384
01:16:13.859 --> 01:16:18.590
that would make him come into this complex. If you've

1385
01:16:18.630 --> 01:16:26.250
seen it, it's just unreal because it's populated. And Somebody

1386
01:16:26.350 --> 01:16:30.270
else had to have heard him pounding on my glass window,

1387
01:16:31.289 --> 01:16:35.829
glass door that night. But my sons weren't home and

1388
01:16:36.010 --> 01:16:39.770
I didn't bother asking anybody the next day. And to

1389
01:16:39.810 --> 01:16:46.409
be honest, I was traumatized by it. And I really

1390
01:16:46.470 --> 01:16:49.479
tried to forget about it for a while until I

1391
01:16:50.229 --> 01:16:53.939
could tell one of my close friends. And, you know,

1392
01:16:54.359 --> 01:17:02.979
even then they're like, Holy mackerel. But yeah, that's what

1393
01:17:03.020 --> 01:17:05.140
happened to me. And it freaked me out.

1394
01:17:05.159 --> 01:17:06.239
I appreciate you sharing.

1395
01:17:06.279 --> 01:17:11.420
I can tell it's a very traumatic experience for you.

1396
01:17:12.560 --> 01:17:15.680
It sounds like you did get a bit of a look.

1397
01:17:16.340 --> 01:17:18.899
Were you able to see any details of the face

1398
01:17:19.000 --> 01:17:19.260
at all?

1399
01:17:19.279 --> 01:17:21.119
It was.

1400
01:17:27.069 --> 01:17:31.789
Kind of your typical face that you see, that you've

1401
01:17:31.829 --> 01:17:35.210
seen drawings of, you see pictures of. I mean, I

1402
01:17:35.729 --> 01:17:40.529
know they're not all the same, but just that hairy,

1403
01:17:40.630 --> 01:17:45.350
you know, the hair. He's all hairy. He does have features.

1404
01:17:46.069 --> 01:17:51.279
He was so mad. He showed me teeth and his

1405
01:17:51.340 --> 01:17:51.840
big eyes.

1406
01:17:53.500 --> 01:17:54.119
And, yeah.

1407
01:17:55.039 --> 01:18:04.430
Yeah. Robert, I appreciate you talking about this. I can

1408
01:18:04.470 --> 01:18:08.090
tell it's hard for you to talk about, but I

1409
01:18:08.130 --> 01:18:12.729
appreciate you being able to bring us through the story.

1410
01:18:12.840 --> 01:18:14.109
Thank you for doing that.

1411
01:18:14.920 --> 01:18:21.819
For sure, for sure. And I really believe that if

1412
01:18:21.859 --> 01:18:27.600
you don't keep your windows covered at night, You're giving

1413
01:18:27.659 --> 01:18:31.300
them the chance to look in. They're in more places

1414
01:18:32.180 --> 01:18:35.020
than I believe a lot of people think they are.

1415
01:18:35.039 --> 01:18:36.659
I agree.

1416
01:18:37.770 --> 01:18:44.229
I believe that they're starting to venture into town further. Well,

1417
01:18:44.270 --> 01:18:46.829
I guess it's been going on for centuries, but it's

1418
01:18:46.869 --> 01:18:53.439
just ridiculous how... far he came into town I was

1419
01:18:53.500 --> 01:18:56.100
just mind blown by that.

1420
01:18:58.960 --> 01:19:02.579
Well my friend thank you for coming on the stage

1421
01:19:02.720 --> 01:19:07.199
and for sharing and please keep us in mind if

1422
01:19:07.260 --> 01:19:11.600
anything else happens feel free to reach out Oh, fantastic.

1423
01:19:11.619 --> 01:19:12.819
Yeah, thanks for having me, man.

1424
01:19:13.460 --> 01:19:13.840
Hello.

1425
01:19:13.859 --> 01:19:15.359
Hey there.

1426
01:19:15.520 --> 01:19:16.000
How's it going?

1427
01:19:16.520 --> 01:19:16.760
Good.

1428
01:19:16.899 --> 01:19:18.380
Well, yeah, go right ahead, Fred.

1429
01:19:19.659 --> 01:19:24.550
So I live in the Gold Coast in Australia, and

1430
01:19:25.770 --> 01:19:29.010
we have just on the border of New South Wales

1431
01:19:29.390 --> 01:19:36.439
and Queensland, like a volcano sort of area. There's like

1432
01:19:36.680 --> 01:19:40.789
a lot of extinct volcanoes there. and lots of valleys

1433
01:19:40.890 --> 01:19:48.079
and rainforest. And about only a 10-minute drive out of town,

1434
01:19:48.439 --> 01:19:52.199
like where all the beaches are, I had an encounter.

1435
01:19:53.000 --> 01:19:56.939
I didn't expect it to be so close to civilization,

1436
01:19:56.960 --> 01:20:02.189
this particular one, but I found out that it's actually

1437
01:20:02.210 --> 01:20:04.510
been quite a hotspot. And in fact, one of the

1438
01:20:04.569 --> 01:20:08.350
lead researchers here in Australia, you might have heard of him,

1439
01:20:08.390 --> 01:20:12.609
Dean Harrison, um you know he he's gone out and

1440
01:20:12.750 --> 01:20:14.529
um done it there i'm friends with a mate of

1441
01:20:14.569 --> 01:20:18.479
his on the uh on the uh uh message well

1442
01:20:18.529 --> 01:20:21.060
facebook so but i'll tell you a bit about it

1443
01:20:21.960 --> 01:20:27.619
so i was going up the back roads um where

1444
01:20:27.640 --> 01:20:30.420
there's few houses and it backs onto all that sort

1445
01:20:30.460 --> 01:20:34.640
of like nature and um i stopped in an area

1446
01:20:34.680 --> 01:20:38.489
was no coverage and i got out my car And

1447
01:20:38.670 --> 01:20:42.729
I was with my friend and we stopped there for

1448
01:20:42.760 --> 01:20:47.760
a few minutes and we're still on the road and

1449
01:20:47.840 --> 01:20:53.489
we hear this like crunching noises, like walking about just

1450
01:20:53.550 --> 01:20:57.109
off the road, like five meters off the road. It's

1451
01:20:57.170 --> 01:21:02.220
pitch black everywhere. and um now i've heard a kangaroo

1452
01:21:02.300 --> 01:21:06.020
hopping through the bush before um and that's the biggest

1453
01:21:06.199 --> 01:21:08.619
sort of animal that there is and this was much

1454
01:21:08.680 --> 01:21:13.020
bigger than that and not hopping it was walking so

1455
01:21:13.140 --> 01:21:15.260
i got to my friend well you know what what's

1456
01:21:15.319 --> 01:21:18.699
that like like i i know what a bigfoot is

1457
01:21:19.600 --> 01:21:23.590
um and yeah so we tried looking around for it

1458
01:21:24.050 --> 01:21:27.260
i didn't see anything and And after a few minutes,

1459
01:21:27.880 --> 01:21:31.979
I thought, oh, can't see it. We'll just, we'll go,

1460
01:21:32.270 --> 01:21:35.430
we'll go because it's not appearing. So we hop back

1461
01:21:35.470 --> 01:21:38.989
in the car, drive away. And as we're leaving, my

1462
01:21:39.029 --> 01:21:41.310
friend tells me that she actually saw it in my

1463
01:21:41.369 --> 01:21:45.350
high beams. And while I wasn't looking in that place,

1464
01:21:45.439 --> 01:21:47.119
I was like trying to look off the road.

1465
01:21:47.699 --> 01:21:49.399
And I asked her.

1466
01:21:49.899 --> 01:21:50.810
To describe it.

1467
01:21:51.520 --> 01:21:55.609
And she said that it looked like Well, she didn't

1468
01:21:55.750 --> 01:21:59.090
tell me immediately, but I tried to get an understanding

1469
01:21:59.130 --> 01:22:03.539
of what its brow looked like, whether she saw a face, height.

1470
01:22:04.079 --> 01:22:07.829
And she said it looked like bits of cloth on it.

1471
01:22:08.479 --> 01:22:11.020
And I thought, well, that's interesting. I might show her

1472
01:22:11.039 --> 01:22:16.260
a picture of an ancient human, a Neanderthal. And I

1473
01:22:16.279 --> 01:22:18.939
showed her that, and she says that's pretty much exactly

1474
01:22:18.979 --> 01:22:22.050
what it was. And I know that it doesn't really

1475
01:22:22.090 --> 01:22:25.210
count as Bigfoot, but I put Bigfoot in the category

1476
01:22:25.270 --> 01:22:29.989
of one of six creatures. You've got your little things,

1477
01:22:30.029 --> 01:22:39.210
your big things, supernatural, non-human-human-related hybrids, and stuff like that.

1478
01:22:41.510 --> 01:22:46.369
Oh, that's very interesting. I'm not overly familiar with Australia,

1479
01:22:46.390 --> 01:22:48.810
but wasn't there that video that came out a few

1480
01:22:48.850 --> 01:22:52.119
months ago Was that near Queensland where there was like

1481
01:22:52.819 --> 01:22:58.050
the tracks that were found and then they had eaten

1482
01:22:58.060 --> 01:23:00.750
half of a pig or something like that? I don't

1483
01:23:00.770 --> 01:23:02.369
know if you remember that.

1484
01:23:02.649 --> 01:23:05.909
I think that's over the border. If you go on

1485
01:23:05.970 --> 01:23:10.949
YouTube and you actually have a look at the Australian

1486
01:23:11.109 --> 01:23:18.800
Yowie research and you look for the thermal footage, It's

1487
01:23:18.859 --> 01:23:22.079
one of the more popular things coming from Australia. That

1488
01:23:22.140 --> 01:23:27.909
was only maybe 20 kilometers, 10 kilometers from where I was.

1489
01:23:28.489 --> 01:23:31.270
So the whole area is a huge hotspot.

1490
01:23:34.350 --> 01:23:38.529
That is fascinating. Thank you for sharing what you had experienced.

1491
01:23:38.550 --> 01:23:39.770
Thank you for coming up today.

1492
01:23:40.350 --> 01:23:40.770
You're welcome.

1493
01:23:40.890 --> 01:23:43.939
Oh, yeah, definitely. I'm sorry if you can't hear me correctly.

1494
01:23:44.000 --> 01:23:46.340
I don't have my headset. That's the only thing I

1495
01:23:46.359 --> 01:23:46.840
don't have.

1496
01:23:48.039 --> 01:23:50.500
No, you actually sound great. So you're from Western Mass?

1497
01:23:51.460 --> 01:23:52.939
No, I'm actually from Rhode Island.

1498
01:23:54.180 --> 01:23:56.460
Okay, I was going to say, you sound more like

1499
01:23:56.539 --> 01:24:00.819
Rhode Island. I used to live in Franklin County, Western Mass,

1500
01:24:01.369 --> 01:24:03.569
a small town called Northfield, but I had friends from

1501
01:24:03.590 --> 01:24:07.510
Rhode Island. So yeah, you went camping out in Western Mass?

1502
01:24:08.130 --> 01:24:11.489
Yes, I believe the town was called Barry, but it's

1503
01:24:11.529 --> 01:24:14.949
spelled Barry. It's spelled differently than what it says.

1504
01:24:15.949 --> 01:24:17.159
Very familiar with that area.

1505
01:24:17.199 --> 01:24:17.340
Yep.

1506
01:24:18.529 --> 01:24:27.689
So, um, this was October of 2019. Um, I had

1507
01:24:27.729 --> 01:24:31.649
gone up with my boyfriend at the time and two

1508
01:24:31.689 --> 01:24:34.649
of our friends and we went to the old, not

1509
01:24:34.670 --> 01:24:37.350
sure if you're familiar with this, but we went to

1510
01:24:37.390 --> 01:24:39.949
the old, um, Girl Scout camp.

1511
01:24:41.119 --> 01:24:41.800
Absolutely.

1512
01:24:41.840 --> 01:24:42.100
Yep.

1513
01:24:42.520 --> 01:24:42.779
Okay.

1514
01:24:42.800 --> 01:24:45.100
So we were camping there. So there's no electricity in

1515
01:24:45.140 --> 01:24:49.369
the cabins is outhouse. Like, so it's kind of, rugged

1516
01:24:50.090 --> 01:24:52.250
i never thought anything would want to come kind of

1517
01:24:52.310 --> 01:24:55.260
close to us just because there's so many there was

1518
01:24:55.270 --> 01:24:59.220
so many people there during the day um where we

1519
01:24:59.260 --> 01:25:03.220
were camping was uh in a different area than where

1520
01:25:03.239 --> 01:25:05.840
the festival was taking place we were closer to the

1521
01:25:05.899 --> 01:25:10.850
woods so we had to walk um i want to

1522
01:25:10.890 --> 01:25:13.229
say a mile a mile and a half from our

1523
01:25:13.329 --> 01:25:18.090
camp to maybe it was less it just seems a

1524
01:25:18.130 --> 01:25:22.390
lot more Um, but we had to walk, we went

1525
01:25:22.430 --> 01:25:25.090
to the pavilion for breakfast and then we walked from

1526
01:25:25.149 --> 01:25:29.069
there to the field where they were having the event. Um,

1527
01:25:29.409 --> 01:25:38.409
and then, okay, so the first night was fine. And so, um,

1528
01:25:38.930 --> 01:25:47.979
we went to, um, the cabin, um, Like I said,

1529
01:25:48.060 --> 01:25:51.000
no electricity or anything like that. It was a really

1530
01:25:51.060 --> 01:25:56.520
quiet night. The second night we were there. And I'm

1531
01:25:56.560 --> 01:25:58.380
one of them people that I have to go to

1532
01:25:58.399 --> 01:25:59.819
the bathroom in the middle of the night. So I

1533
01:25:59.840 --> 01:26:01.640
have to get up at like 3 or 4 in

1534
01:26:01.659 --> 01:26:04.529
the morning. But we had to walk down to the outhouses.

1535
01:26:04.550 --> 01:26:07.630
I don't know if you're familiar with this campground. We

1536
01:26:07.649 --> 01:26:11.430
were the closest cabin to them. But they're all outside.

1537
01:26:13.149 --> 01:26:18.770
And so I didn't see it. But, of course, I'm

1538
01:26:18.810 --> 01:26:21.810
in the middle of going to the bathroom, in the

1539
01:26:21.829 --> 01:26:25.060
middle of it, okay? So this makes it even worse.

1540
01:26:26.260 --> 01:26:32.119
And I hear this, like, guttural roar come from the woods.

1541
01:26:33.260 --> 01:26:36.850
And I mean, it was loud.

1542
01:26:36.979 --> 01:26:41.250
And I know that, like, it wasn't a wolf. So

1543
01:26:41.329 --> 01:26:46.750
I started sitting there thinking, okay, first off, what was that? Um,

1544
01:26:47.770 --> 01:26:53.180
because it doesn't sound like anything I've ever heard before. Um,

1545
01:26:55.439 --> 01:26:59.220
and I'm sitting there in my brain trying to rationalize

1546
01:27:00.199 --> 01:27:02.859
what could be all, all the more reason I have

1547
01:27:02.899 --> 01:27:06.359
to tell you this, I was frozen. So by time

1548
01:27:06.380 --> 01:27:14.800
the thoughts started coming through, um, My brain, I was,

1549
01:27:15.020 --> 01:27:17.279
I was, when I tell you I was frozen solid

1550
01:27:17.319 --> 01:27:20.310
for like three straight minutes. And then there was this

1551
01:27:20.399 --> 01:27:27.029
like instinct, like a natural instinct to run back to

1552
01:27:28.529 --> 01:27:30.670
the cabin I was in. It was like this realization

1553
01:27:30.710 --> 01:27:34.159
that if I stayed there and, you know, I was

1554
01:27:34.199 --> 01:27:37.420
there by myself, it could have, you know, I don't

1555
01:27:38.600 --> 01:27:41.300
know a lot about these creatures. What if something grabbed me?

1556
01:27:41.930 --> 01:27:45.750
Nobody would know because everyone's sleeping in a cabin up

1557
01:27:45.789 --> 01:27:48.090
the hill, not even remotely near me.

1558
01:27:49.489 --> 01:27:51.109
So I did just.

1559
01:27:50.970 --> 01:27:58.039
That, but I actually got to the vehicle, my ex-boyfriend's SUV.

1560
01:27:58.659 --> 01:28:00.340
As soon as I got to that, I jumped in

1561
01:28:00.359 --> 01:28:05.399
the SUV and I slept in there for the next, um,

1562
01:28:06.699 --> 01:28:08.359
it was either three or four in the morning. So

1563
01:28:08.399 --> 01:28:13.859
I slept there until nine and, um, Um, yeah, he

1564
01:28:13.899 --> 01:28:15.600
came and got me. He banged on the window. He goes,

1565
01:28:15.619 --> 01:28:17.340
what are you doing? Why are you sleeping in here?

1566
01:28:17.380 --> 01:28:19.680
I'm like, dude, you're never going to believe this. I

1567
01:28:19.739 --> 01:28:21.760
was so scared. I couldn't even go back up to

1568
01:28:21.800 --> 01:28:25.239
the cabin and the cabin was only like, maybe like

1569
01:28:25.279 --> 01:28:28.149
a hundred more feet from his SUV. Like I just,

1570
01:28:29.050 --> 01:28:31.210
I knew we were being, I knew I was being

1571
01:28:31.250 --> 01:28:34.630
watched at least. I don't know who else heard it there.

1572
01:28:34.649 --> 01:28:37.069
I never got a chance to really talk to anybody

1573
01:28:37.109 --> 01:28:39.970
because that day we had one more event and then

1574
01:28:40.340 --> 01:28:46.979
everybody left. But that was my experience hearing one.

1575
01:28:48.539 --> 01:28:49.659
That's wild.

1576
01:28:50.560 --> 01:28:53.979
I will say that these outhouses, they're outdoor bathrooms. I'm

1577
01:28:54.010 --> 01:28:56.050
not sure if you're aware of that, but they're not

1578
01:28:56.149 --> 01:28:56.710
inside rooms.

1579
01:28:57.010 --> 01:28:57.510
A building.

1580
01:28:57.550 --> 01:28:58.470
They're outside.

1581
01:28:58.770 --> 01:28:59.529
They're closed.

1582
01:28:59.569 --> 01:29:04.109
Everybody's got their own, but it's outside. So it was

1583
01:29:04.340 --> 01:29:08.880
dead silent too. Nothing chirping, no animals. I mean, we

1584
01:29:08.920 --> 01:29:10.340
were in the middle of the woods and that first

1585
01:29:10.399 --> 01:29:13.520
night we heard everything. We heard owls, all kinds of stuff.

1586
01:29:13.539 --> 01:29:17.539
That second night when that happened, like even right after

1587
01:29:17.560 --> 01:29:23.569
that happened, there was no noise at all. You could

1588
01:29:23.590 --> 01:29:26.350
hear a pin drop. 20 feet away like.

1589
01:29:26.189 --> 01:29:31.130
So the way that you're explaining it like describing it

1590
01:29:31.289 --> 01:29:35.720
does definitely you know um line up with ways other

1591
01:29:35.760 --> 01:29:39.079
people describe you know not being able to move for

1592
01:29:39.100 --> 01:29:42.460
a few minutes just being like frozen everything gets dead

1593
01:29:42.539 --> 01:29:45.920
quiet it's like yeah that's that sounds like a a

1594
01:29:46.039 --> 01:29:49.319
very interesting experience that you had thank you for sharing that.

1595
01:29:50.779 --> 01:29:54.119
Yeah absolutely um It didn't sound like it was being

1596
01:29:54.199 --> 01:29:56.659
very friendly. It sounded like it was rather upset that

1597
01:29:56.699 --> 01:30:01.590
we were there. Like, I can pick up on feelings.

1598
01:30:01.729 --> 01:30:06.210
I can pick up on energy. Super, super intuitive. And

1599
01:30:06.229 --> 01:30:10.010
I just follow. I trust myself. And it was really

1600
01:30:10.050 --> 01:30:12.760
hard to explain. And it was hard to explain it

1601
01:30:12.800 --> 01:30:15.600
to him. It was hard to explain it to other people.

1602
01:30:15.619 --> 01:30:17.779
Because I'm like, they're going to think I'm nuts.

1603
01:30:17.819 --> 01:30:18.300
He didn't.

1604
01:30:18.720 --> 01:30:22.680
He believes in him, so... Um, you know, this isn't

1605
01:30:22.699 --> 01:30:25.380
the first camp trip he took, but.

1606
01:30:27.010 --> 01:30:28.069
Yeah, so.

1607
01:30:29.609 --> 01:30:30.189
Absolutely.

1608
01:30:30.210 --> 01:30:33.630
Well, thank you for, for sharing what you experienced at the, uh,

1609
01:30:34.449 --> 01:30:38.250
the old girls, old, uh, girl camp in Barry, Massachusetts.

1610
01:30:38.970 --> 01:30:40.670
I've never been there, but I know exactly where you're

1611
01:30:40.689 --> 01:30:41.970
talking about. So that's pretty cool.

1612
01:30:42.510 --> 01:30:44.649
Yeah, definitely. Well, thanks for letting me share.

1613
01:30:45.630 --> 01:30:46.069
You got it.

1614
01:30:46.109 --> 01:30:49.800
Have a good one. Hi Dale, this is Jeremiah. I

1615
01:30:49.859 --> 01:30:52.140
saw your comment. It looks like you, you had an

1616
01:30:52.260 --> 01:30:54.340
interesting thing happen that you heard.

1617
01:30:55.199 --> 01:30:55.479
I did.

1618
01:30:55.500 --> 01:30:58.939
It was right around Roseburg. Everybody's familiar with Roseburg. If

1619
01:30:58.979 --> 01:31:02.680
you've been up in Oregon, just east a little bit

1620
01:31:02.779 --> 01:31:05.189
up in a clear cut. This was a clear cut

1621
01:31:05.199 --> 01:31:06.689
where I used to go up there. My neighbor showed

1622
01:31:06.699 --> 01:31:09.310
me the spot to go get wood. Good spot to

1623
01:31:09.329 --> 01:31:13.329
get madrone, good hardwood. Um, and I was up there

1624
01:31:14.350 --> 01:31:16.960
twice with my neighbor. And once I went up there

1625
01:31:17.000 --> 01:31:18.960
by myself, cause we'd have to load up both trucks

1626
01:31:19.739 --> 01:31:21.079
and I just wanted to load up a little bit

1627
01:31:21.119 --> 01:31:23.760
of wood for myself. But both times I was up

1628
01:31:23.779 --> 01:31:27.399
there with him before I was like, man, this place is,

1629
01:31:27.699 --> 01:31:30.329
I feel like I'm being watched. You know, everybody hears

1630
01:31:31.390 --> 01:31:34.729
people tell stories about how they feel like they're being watched.

1631
01:31:35.850 --> 01:31:40.689
And I don't think enough emphasis is put on the

1632
01:31:40.729 --> 01:31:45.470
level of creepiness that you feel when when you feel

1633
01:31:45.510 --> 01:31:50.250
like you're being watched. This went on for an hour.

1634
01:31:50.590 --> 01:31:53.430
I prepped the chainsaw, put it on the tailgate. Been

1635
01:31:53.470 --> 01:31:54.909
up here twice before, like I said.

1636
01:31:55.750 --> 01:31:56.029
And I.

1637
01:31:57.949 --> 01:32:01.600
Was just creeped out, staring at the tree line. I'm

1638
01:32:01.640 --> 01:32:04.760
in a clear cut, but I'm facing where the old

1639
01:32:04.819 --> 01:32:09.680
growth stands. I'm about 300 yards away. So there's cover

1640
01:32:09.720 --> 01:32:11.930
back up in there. I'm high up on an old

1641
01:32:13.069 --> 01:32:16.850
logging cut. So I'm top where the, if you're familiar

1642
01:32:16.869 --> 01:32:19.229
with logging, where a high line would sit top of

1643
01:32:19.270 --> 01:32:21.680
the hill. This is where all the logs get skidded

1644
01:32:21.760 --> 01:32:25.260
up to the top of. So there's no more, no

1645
01:32:25.279 --> 01:32:30.159
more roads going any higher dirt roads. Even there's no

1646
01:32:30.199 --> 01:32:32.880
more access. The terrain is you'd have to be on

1647
01:32:32.920 --> 01:32:35.659
all fours to climb up any higher in the tree

1648
01:32:35.720 --> 01:32:41.489
line area where I was. So, um, I finally like, okay,

1649
01:32:41.510 --> 01:32:42.630
I got to load up some wood. I got to

1650
01:32:42.670 --> 01:32:43.369
be productive here.

1651
01:32:43.470 --> 01:32:43.729
Okay.

1652
01:32:43.750 --> 01:32:44.029
Whatever.

1653
01:32:44.609 --> 01:32:46.529
Start cutting up the wood, throwing it in the truck.

1654
01:32:47.529 --> 01:32:51.289
And I get it loaded up pretty good. And I

1655
01:32:51.369 --> 01:32:54.710
end up pulling forward after that. So I'm up here

1656
01:32:54.750 --> 01:32:56.649
about two, two and a half hours at the most.

1657
01:32:58.409 --> 01:33:02.060
And I pull forward because there's a hairpin turn just

1658
01:33:02.140 --> 01:33:04.760
before they clear the tree line of the old growth.

1659
01:33:05.659 --> 01:33:07.460
And I get out. I turn my truck off. I'm

1660
01:33:07.479 --> 01:33:11.279
going to sit right here. And it is pin drop quiet,

1661
01:33:11.380 --> 01:33:14.850
like crazy quiet. And you can just, you could hear

1662
01:33:15.109 --> 01:33:20.300
anything in this canyon. And I'm just sitting there listening.

1663
01:33:20.359 --> 01:33:23.920
I am listening to hear anything. I'm like, something is

1664
01:33:23.939 --> 01:33:26.960
watching me. It just feels creepy. So I'm going to

1665
01:33:26.979 --> 01:33:29.340
sit here and I've got the patience. I'm by myself.

1666
01:33:29.439 --> 01:33:34.500
Nobody's waiting on me. You know, man, I sit there

1667
01:33:35.359 --> 01:33:38.939
and I can't hear anything for almost a good hour.

1668
01:33:40.140 --> 01:33:42.380
Talk about patience, man. I mean, this is how creeped

1669
01:33:42.479 --> 01:33:45.810
out I was. I was like, man, something just feel creepy. Anyway,

1670
01:33:47.130 --> 01:33:52.250
I'm sitting there forever. And at some point I hear,

1671
01:33:52.270 --> 01:33:55.430
I didn't see anything. And this is what's kind of,

1672
01:33:55.930 --> 01:33:58.250
it's hard to tell the story sometimes because man, I

1673
01:33:58.250 --> 01:34:01.840
didn't see anything. And you can always be debated. You know,

1674
01:34:02.020 --> 01:34:04.840
maybe there was people there. Maybe there was certainly wasn't

1675
01:34:04.859 --> 01:34:07.720
kids up there. I can tell you that, but yeah,

1676
01:34:08.630 --> 01:34:11.109
um high up in this ridge right in the tree

1677
01:34:11.149 --> 01:34:15.489
line not far into the tree line i heard what

1678
01:34:15.510 --> 01:34:17.840
could only be described as what you hear of the

1679
01:34:17.880 --> 01:34:22.180
samurai chatter and it was two of them and i

1680
01:34:22.220 --> 01:34:25.680
felt like they were younger and but they were both

1681
01:34:25.779 --> 01:34:28.859
talking like at the same time at each other um

1682
01:34:31.619 --> 01:34:34.779
I could mimic it, but it's always so hard to

1683
01:34:34.859 --> 01:34:38.010
do that. Here's the deal. It was so quiet. I

1684
01:34:38.029 --> 01:34:41.170
was close enough to where there's nobody else up here.

1685
01:34:41.189 --> 01:34:43.130
I could hear a car coming from, you know, a

1686
01:34:43.170 --> 01:34:44.869
truck coming up there to get wood or anything like

1687
01:34:44.909 --> 01:34:47.289
that from a long ways away. There's nobody up there,

1688
01:34:48.409 --> 01:34:52.010
let alone they have to come up my road. There's

1689
01:34:52.050 --> 01:34:54.989
nobody up in that tree line. There's no purpose up there.

1690
01:34:56.350 --> 01:35:00.380
And on top of it being terrain wise, extremely difficult.

1691
01:35:00.840 --> 01:35:02.619
And if all you're going to do, let's say, you know,

1692
01:35:02.680 --> 01:35:08.619
prankster wise, cause I'm, I have to rationalize how possible

1693
01:35:08.720 --> 01:35:10.920
is it, you know, for, you know, what kind of

1694
01:35:10.939 --> 01:35:13.220
a prank is that? You know what I mean? And

1695
01:35:13.239 --> 01:35:18.680
to be up in there, but, um, I legit heard too.

1696
01:35:18.720 --> 01:35:20.960
And it was brief, but it was enough to where,

1697
01:35:21.060 --> 01:35:23.359
and I was close enough and it was quiet enough

1698
01:35:23.439 --> 01:35:29.699
to where it sounded very Russian. Which I've heard that before.

1699
01:35:29.720 --> 01:35:33.550
I was pretty new to it then. So I'd recently

1700
01:35:33.600 --> 01:35:39.210
had learned about language there, uh, speaking somewhat Russian and

1701
01:35:39.270 --> 01:35:42.069
samurai chatter and stuff like that. And I thought that

1702
01:35:42.109 --> 01:35:46.590
that was, um, I honestly, when I heard it, the

1703
01:35:46.609 --> 01:35:48.060
first thing I did was just look, I was like,

1704
01:35:49.100 --> 01:35:53.539
there's no kids up there. And I was just like shocked.

1705
01:35:53.960 --> 01:35:58.640
It sounded like younger kids. Two voices close enough to

1706
01:35:58.659 --> 01:36:01.899
where I could tell it wasn't English. It sounded really

1707
01:36:01.939 --> 01:36:04.520
close to Russian. There was two of them talking over

1708
01:36:04.579 --> 01:36:08.159
each other, jabbering really, really fast, really fast talk, too.

1709
01:36:08.949 --> 01:36:11.489
It's hard to say that that's definitive. In my mind,

1710
01:36:11.810 --> 01:36:13.550
I know what I heard. I know there wasn't kids

1711
01:36:13.609 --> 01:36:16.750
up there for me. OK, for anybody else. It could

1712
01:36:16.770 --> 01:36:18.569
have been anybody could think kids up there could have

1713
01:36:18.590 --> 01:36:21.399
been something. But I'm just saying, you know what? I've

1714
01:36:21.409 --> 01:36:24.359
been up there several times before. It's not easy to

1715
01:36:24.399 --> 01:36:28.810
get up there. And what I heard was, it was

1716
01:36:28.850 --> 01:36:31.750
a language. I was close enough to hear a language.

1717
01:36:32.810 --> 01:36:35.539
And I find that more fascinating. I don't think there's

1718
01:36:35.579 --> 01:36:46.109
a lot of weight given to hearing something, not seeing it.

1719
01:36:46.140 --> 01:36:48.260
You see something, you're always going to say to yourself,

1720
01:36:48.600 --> 01:36:51.229
now what the heck was that? You're always going to

1721
01:36:51.250 --> 01:36:53.609
scratch your head. I saw something dark. I saw something moving.

1722
01:36:53.630 --> 01:36:55.630
I saw something tall, but it was behind trees in

1723
01:36:55.649 --> 01:37:00.529
the bushes. A lot of people have had that experience.

1724
01:37:01.930 --> 01:37:05.020
But I think it's even weirder, if you think about it,

1725
01:37:05.229 --> 01:37:09.649
to have heard something talking and you're close enough to

1726
01:37:09.710 --> 01:37:14.289
it to know it's not English, 100%. It sounds Russian.

1727
01:37:14.649 --> 01:37:15.590
There's two of them.

1728
01:37:17.880 --> 01:37:21.029
And I don't know.

1729
01:37:21.050 --> 01:37:23.789
I don't know what it was, but to be honest

1730
01:37:23.810 --> 01:37:27.180
with you, at the end of the day, yeah.

1731
01:37:27.229 --> 01:37:29.760
And at the end of the day, it's, it's another,

1732
01:37:29.779 --> 01:37:34.359
you know, piece of data to put in the, the

1733
01:37:34.420 --> 01:37:36.939
big whole data set that we're trying to use to

1734
01:37:37.020 --> 01:37:40.810
figure things out. And would you say it was close? Like,

1735
01:37:40.850 --> 01:37:42.649
was that the closest town to where you were at

1736
01:37:42.670 --> 01:37:44.970
was Roseburg or was there another one?

1737
01:37:45.029 --> 01:37:52.829
Roseburg? It was past. I, I, I have, I can

1738
01:37:52.850 --> 01:37:55.270
look on Google maps and kind of zoom in on

1739
01:37:55.310 --> 01:37:57.850
the clear cut area. I've done it several times since then,

1740
01:37:57.869 --> 01:38:00.609
just to kind of remember where it was. It is

1741
01:38:00.729 --> 01:38:09.189
straight east of Sutherland off of I-5. And there's a,

1742
01:38:10.960 --> 01:38:14.159
I'd have to refresh my memory on the sign. It's

1743
01:38:14.180 --> 01:38:17.500
like a camp up there. Um, but I could, I

1744
01:38:17.520 --> 01:38:20.840
could go right back to the, uh, drop a pin location.

1745
01:38:21.020 --> 01:38:25.710
I could nail that location. Exactly. And, uh, and it's

1746
01:38:25.729 --> 01:38:27.329
right off the river, you know, they say they like

1747
01:38:27.350 --> 01:38:28.909
to stick close to the river. So it's right off

1748
01:38:28.989 --> 01:38:29.350
of the.

1749
01:38:29.449 --> 01:38:29.949
Oh, absolutely.

1750
01:38:30.399 --> 01:38:32.500
Yeah is it the umpqua that's right there.

1751
01:38:32.319 --> 01:38:38.199
Um i believe that's a national forest in that area yeah.

1752
01:38:37.800 --> 01:38:40.939
Yeah um and tons of elk so as far as

1753
01:38:41.000 --> 01:38:43.359
you know uh plenty of food and stuff like that

1754
01:38:43.399 --> 01:38:47.359
there's water there's elk lots of cover i mean there

1755
01:38:47.420 --> 01:38:51.109
this is deep in the woods um As soon as

1756
01:38:51.140 --> 01:38:54.920
you get off I-5, out of Roseburg, heading towards the coast,

1757
01:38:55.260 --> 01:38:57.500
you know, the sky's the limit on how many miles

1758
01:38:57.539 --> 01:38:59.439
and miles of dirt road and trees you can find

1759
01:38:59.479 --> 01:39:01.260
up in Oregon. Beautiful country, too.

1760
01:39:01.380 --> 01:39:04.439
Thank you for coming on, sharing what you experienced. It's

1761
01:39:04.479 --> 01:39:08.630
a really weird, weird thing, and it may help someone

1762
01:39:09.069 --> 01:39:11.130
else when they hear this, so thank you so much

1763
01:39:11.170 --> 01:39:11.590
for sharing.

1764
01:39:11.729 --> 01:39:14.970
Yeah, yeah, man. Thanks for letting me tell your story.
