A Former Deputy Shares His Ongoing Encounters in Shelton, Washington With Sasquatch

0:40 How are you doing today, John? Well, a little bit of background that Doug has provided. He was a paramedic in East Tennessee, also a deputy sheriff over there as well. He's currently in Washington State working with the Washington military in some forms and fashions, and we might hear more about Doug's background as well as we go along. But you know, Doug, how are things going out there in the West Coast where you're at. How they're actually going pretty well. Not The weather is calmed down and things have quieted down around here.

1:28 You mentioned something off air that I found interesting, which is so you've experienced a lot of things, and you said it kind of feels like things have followed you around as you've gone from one side of the country to the other. Is that right? Yes? Yes, As you mentioned, I started my MS career in southern Illinois and it's pretty remote, very rural area. As a kid, I seen some things that I didn't associate with back then. You didn't hear anything about sasquash or bigfoot or anything in the seventies and eighties. So then we moved to Tennessee and things started picking up, and I heard stories from some of the locals there in East Tennessee, especially when you had a response time on the ambulance or the sheriff's department of two hours in the county. So these people there are not as social as they are here right especially here in Washington.

2:38 It's very urban area out there. Scott County is one of the most remote counties in the state, but has more road miles than any county, so people don't call the Amaelis don't call the sheriff's department too much, and when you do, they're very cliquish, so they don't want to speak. But once you get there and get a rapport, then they start telling you things and so things that go on all over the United States, and most of my experience is out here in Washington, but there's probably been things in East Tennessee that I've seen that I just didn't associate with. That that's been forgotten over the years, over the last thirty years. That but things that really opened my eyes when I got here to Washington.

3:19 I was just looking up Scott County, Tennessee, and it is definitely over there in a pretty wild area. I mean, you've got Big South Fork and it's just north of Catoosa and Frozen Head. Frozen Hat is a very very intense nature area with a lot of weirdness that goes on in there. For sure, there's a lot of remote territory there that nobody, nobody goes to. Just a double check. So when you were working as a paramedic or or sorry, deputy sheriff over there, do you remember any specific calls or hearing anything where people were talking about bigfoot or anything weird like that.

4:08 I know, some of the full time deputies. Of course, most of the time I worked on the ambulance and I was a part time deputy, so most of my time was on the ambulance. But yeah, some of the full time deputies would tell stories of something. There was a lady called and something was looking in her window. There was one that his animals were killed. Don't know what it was. There was no you know, tracks or whatever. It was had to be large, you know, to kill their cows and their their sheep. So those are stories I heard there. And you know, back then, I didn't know anything about it, didn't have any really experience that I could actually relate to, you know and point to, hey, that's what that is. I've learned things now that I could say, you know, probably, But so we just dismissed it like everybody else did at the time. You know, it was you know, it's nothing, it's it's got to be something else somebody did it, rather than you know, they're playing pranks or they're kidding even or whatever. And most of the time those the people there in East Tennessee didn't call the Sheriff's apartment but there were a few incidents that I didn't respond to personally, but I know other officers did.

5:25 Yeah, and then you know, of course that's something serious. It's like it's kind of a joke out here in Iowa where I'm at, when when a farmer goes to the hospital, you know it's serious because there usually can take care of themselves, right, or they want to take care of themselves. But so it sounds like when you made the move out to Washington, that's when your eyes started to really get open as to there's something going on out here. Yeah. For example, of I worked for a company Webil Boats and that was the what got me out here to Washington. And a guy come to help me work on one of my vehicles and we started he started pointing things out in the yard. I had a tree behind the the mode part of the the yard. We was written a house sat on Keepen Insula, so it's pretty remote. We had neighbors, but and there was a tree about I would say it's about sixty feet tall and about forty feet up. There were two limbs that stuck off parallel to each other right or perpendt or crossways right. There were exact opposites of the tree, and it was about ten inches in diameter at the base or twelve. Two smaller trees about six or eight inches in diameter were crossed, so the tree on the right was stuck under the brokeoff branch on the left, and vice versa. So the trees were crossed and hooked under

6:57 those branches. And I don't know anybody that could pull a four inch diameter tree down like that and bend them over and hook him under those broke off limbs. And while the gentleman was there, we started walking the property, and the neighbor's dogs had been barking, and everything just went quiet. And we had an old concrete deer setting in the front yard that was the landlords, and that we got around the front was around back looking at that, and he was pointing out various other things, and the deer head was broke off. Something had broke the deer head off. And we got up next to the house and we found an impression in the grass. It was probably I don't know, seventeen eighteen inches long and six or seven inches wide in the grass in the broad daylight.

7:58 And so he starts to telling us and he said Doug, I think you've got bigfoot activity out here. And so we were talking going around the back before we got to the footprint, because once we got seen or the impression, I'm not going to say it's a footprint, but it's that's what shape it was. And then impression in the front yard. He got in his vehicle and left, but walking around the property, he started talking about this, and I thought, you know, I just I used to smoke and I would come home. I work second shift. I get home about two thirty in the morning, and I'd set out on the on the back porch and we had a nice back porch and I'd sit on the back porch and smoke, and I heard a belch not fifteen feet to my left in the woods. Now I had neighbors, but they were elderly neighbors, and they went to bed really early. And I don't know anything that belches, but hominids right people upright. Bears don't belch, cougars don't belch, raccoons don't belch. And I just kind of looked over and didn't as I thought, I'm just hearing things right.

9:06 So it did it again, and so I kind of joked you want me to get you a Tom's. And then I got to thinking, nothing belches but us, and that was you could just tell by the sound it wasn't a human. It was much bigger, and I just went in the house. My wife. Finally we moved here from southern Illinois and my wife moved. I was out here nine months by myself, and then my wife came out, so she moved there to keep an insult with me. And I went to put the trash can out. It was late at night, about ten eleven o'clock at night, and we're always up late because I worked second shit, And I came back and I had the flashlight and I shined it over in the sideyard towards the direction of where I heard that belch, and I seen two grayish blue eyes reflecting or light lighting up, and they were about nine feet in the air, and then they disappeared behind the tree. There was a huge tree right there, and I stopped and looked, and I couldn't see anything.

10:18 So it's like, okay, it's time just to go in the house. And it was about I don't know, four or five weeks later that my friend came out and we started looking around, and when he seen the gear had broke off and that imprint in the in the grass, he was done. He left. And he had been telling me that he had just seen one a bigfoot on his way home the year before. He has a friend that lives out there, and he was out it. And so it was about two miles from our house that he passed it. It was walking alongside the road, and he said he had never been so scared. He was just glad it didn't step out front of him, and he got out of there as fast as he could.

11:01 So when he found that deerhead broke and the impression in the yard, he was done. He was out of there. And I haven't spoke to him since. He has never never been back. And my goodness, So he was totally scared whatever he's seen on the road, scared and bad enough that he did want And he'd lived here all his life. He lived on the keypen Ansela all his life. So, Doug, this is some wild stuff. I want to provide commentary for a minute about the area for listeners who are just listening to the audio. The Key Peninsula is smack dab in the middle of a lot of bigfoot activity. You've got So's it's north of places like Fort Lewis, it's south of places like Bell Belfair is pretty active from what I've heard. Also, I mean you've got to the east, you've got gig Harbor over there.

12:03 But more specifically, I want to point out is directly to its west, you've got Harsteen Island, which has had some really intense documented activity over the years at the let's see Gerald Cove State Park up in the north. And then there's some other things if you look up. And actually I've talked to an individual about activity on squawks And Island as well. On so oh, I don't I'm not too far from squawks And Island. Now, I don't. I don't. I don't believe. So, I don't believe I'm too far from it. But yeah, I was about five six miles from home, Washington, gotcha. So, and that's where just south of there, on a on a road is where my friend had seen seen one walking alongside the road. So since then I started out.

13:03 I lived in in Olympia Lacey area in an apartment and moved out to the Key Peninsula and then from there we moved to Enomclaw and then to Tacoma, and then so then we moved to Yelm, which is a more rural area. We lived south of Yelm and didn't think any more about it, and then one week we started in the spring, we started getting a stench rolling in. There's a big wooded area just to the south of us, and a big stench would roll in and it smelt like a musky garbage heap. Well, that's odd, and it would go away and it would come back. And so one afternoon, me and the wife were out in the yard and just directly across the street from us was there was a section of woods about ten feet deep off the road. We were on a busy intersection. And then the guy the neighborhood just bought it and he had cleared the rest of it, but there was about ten feet by i would say hundred feet of woods along the road at the edge of his property, on the western edge of his property, and a rock came flying out of there. And he wasn't home, he has no kids, there's nobody there and the place is all fenced up and locked off. But a rock came flying

14:36 out of there, and it's like, who would be throwing rocks, and the stench there at the time was horrendous, so we didn't venture out of the yard. You know, that's his property. We didn't think anything about it. But I know he works during the day and he's single and has no kids, so there was should have been nobody there and it was all locked up, but something was throwing rocks out of it, and we didn't see anything. You couldn't see anything over there, but the brush and stuff was pretty thick, but something was throwing rocks at us out of that woods, and so we decided it was time to go to go in our back motion light would go off in the middle of night and I would go out and look and there would be nothing there. But then again, our back the back part of the property was full of blackberries and trees and it was pretty thick, so it's not unusual not to see anything in that. There's plenty of places for anything or anybody to go hide. But never heard anything, never seen anything. We had cameras set up sometimes that we never never did get a glimpse of anything. And then that lasted about two weeks and the stench and all that activity was gone, and it came back a month or two later and stayed for a few days, and then we never seen anything else. I had noticed though, that in the area when the stench arrived, right, there

16:07 was a pond across the road to the north of us and tons of frogs. Is extremely loud in the springtime with frogs at night, right, And when this stench rolled in and things started happening dead quiet, And that's what happened. It was a fourth of July and twenty sixteen actually on to Key Peninsula that I was standing out smoking a cigarette again and all the tree frogs were gone, and all the crickets and you know, all the night noises, dogs barking, and all of a sudden, it just went dead quiet. You heard nothing, and you never heard anything ever again. And that's when I noticed about three days later that those the trees were crossed over.

16:52 And it was about four months later that my friend came. But there still wasn't any animal sounds. The dogs never barked again, nothing made a sound. It was like they were afraid to make a sound. There was nothing made a sound out there ever, And so Yelm was like that. And then after the stench went away, then the frogs came back and I'm finding the same thing. So we left yelm and we bought a place here last February, out here west of Shelton. And we're in the timberland, right the timber company, so we have no neighbors. We're out here. Buyer said, we're a mile off the paved road.

17:39 And we started noticing trees pushed over. And the first thing we noticed is a tree about eight inches in diameter, six inches at the break, about ten feet tall, so it's a six inch diameter tree at the spot that was just broke over away from the road. And I thought, okay, so maybe you know a piece of equipment, because it is a logging road. There was no tire tracks. I got out and looked. There was no piece of equipment. There was nothing had pulled up there and broke that tree off. There was no tracks of any kind. And then I started paying attention. There's old trees that had just been pushed over, right, And if I thought, okay, maybe it's the wind. But when the trees are three feet apart and they're that dance, the wind's going to push over more than one tree, right, And so then we started noticing as spring came no frogs. There was nothing.

18:40 You didn't hear anything when we first got there spring started. You could hear tree frogs at the gate, but we'd hear nothing at the house. And then we started noticing more trees pushed over, and we haven't heard any sound, especially at the road gate, for over a year, or well about about one year exactly. Now. At home. At the house, you would hear tree frogs occasionally. There's a wetland to our south, a creek to our north, and but all winter long there there was nothing. And then and I thought, Okay, it's it's just the cold, right.

19:28 Frogs don't like the cold, right. But then the other day it was twenty eight degrees and that's the coldest had been in the area all winter. Tree frogs out. And I noticed that when you don't hear the tree frogs, you don't see any animals or deer or rabbits don't. They don't cross the road, they don't come through the yard. They're gone. I started hearing tree frogs. We see rabbits across the road, we see deer across the road, we see tracks in the yard. We've seen a bear track in our in our driveway the other day. But then the tree frogs are going. And when when you don't hear the tree frogs, there's no animals moving anywhere, it's like it's they're all being run off. And you then you start staying a tree at the gate that had had been ripped off and they dug a hole to keep ATVs from going around the around the gate. Uh, and that whatever whatever broke that off through that the top party in that hole on top of piece of debris that one of the loggers or whatever left in there.

20:40 And next to it is a is a bush that's got limbs that are or an old tree they've cut down or whatever, and it's started to grow back in multiple places right there, about two two and a half inches in diameter, and they're just twisted off and broke off, and you can tell they're just they're not completely broke off. They're still attached, but they're they're dead and broke off and you can tell it's just been twisted. So yeah, there's And I seen the February fifteenth coming up one oh one. I was coming home from work at three o'clock in the afternoon. Listen to a podcast and I music makes me sleepy, so I listened to book audio books or podcasts or whatever. And so I was listening to a podcast and I just happened to glance over to my left, and so when I did, there's I had to take a double look. There I seen what I thought was a bigfoot sasquatch walking away from the highway, about fifty yards off the highway. And I shoot bows a lot, so I can judge distances pretty well, so I can say with all confidence it was about fifty yards fifty five yards off off the highway, and it was walking away, and so I tried to rationalize it was a it was a shadow, but stumps and shadows don't swing their arms. And that's what caught my attention was the movement of it walking away. And when I

22:10 look back over my shoulder, I could see the right arm swing back. So the next day, me and the wife came home about the same time, and so we started we slowed down, started looking, all right, are there any stumps, are there any shadows? Anything's going to cast something that would prove that this wasn't what I thought I saw. And there's nothing out there. It's just a nice clean was right, that's been planted. The brush is not growing up. There's no There are stumps, but nothing that tall or nothing that would show that kind of shape. So I know what I saw, and it was moving, and it was walking up right on two legs.

22:50 This happened within the past year around Shelton, Washington. Yes, Yet all this activity that you know from the from the time we moved to Shelton in February of twenty twenty five until here, and it continues to happen. They cut down trees along the road to keep it clear, right, and all these when we first moved in, we're all off the road. They're all pushed back in the trees. And it's a tree about four inches in diameter at the base and it's probably about ten feet long that it's not in the road, but it's push it's thrown out into the edge of the road. The last few few weeks, probably three weeks, I say, the last week we started hearing frogs again, so it's probably about two weeks before that I started noticing it's a dirt road with the rock on it. You know, the rocks. They call them Washington potatoes out here because they just come up out of the ground and these are about the size of both my fists that will end up in the middle of the road, and there's they weren't there before, and there are a lot of them all along there.

24:03 They're just like something's throwing them out in the road. Can't say for sure, but I leave it at around four four thirty in the morning to go to work, and you don't see them on the road. When you come back, they're in the road, or vice versa. Right, you leave, you come back at night in the evening from work and there's none in the road, and then you leave in the morning and you can see these big rocks in the road. I just find it extremely interesting that all these rocks one or two I could explain away as they're working their way up out of the ground and you drive over them and it pops them out, but fifteen or twenty and I pick them up and throw them off side of the road, and now they'll be back.

24:53 So it's definitely some weirdness going around. And then you canbind that whether you actually had you know that sighting, and do you have an approximate date for when this sighting happened? Yes, I know exactly when it was twenty fifteen at two fifteen. It is February fifteenth, Saturday, February fifteenth, at about three fifty afternoon, twenty twenty six. So within yeah, really within the last three weeks. Wow, yes, what would you estimate the height of it was? From what you.

25:40 Saw nine to ten feet from the distance of fifty yards, it would have been had to been about nine or ten feet tall. And so I come home and I I talk to my wife and it's like, I don't know if I really seen it, and she's ab, we'll to describe. So I did, and so I know what I seen. And so I was looking through pictures, and I've seen photographs of a sasquatch walking away. It was on a hill in the snow, and it was from three quarter view from the left side, and you could see the left arm swing back, and that's exactly what I seen from the opposite side. So I would have seen it from the right side looking over my left shoulder.

26:31 So I have no doubt that that's what I seen. I was kind of questioning it. And then as I was looking through photographs or videos of other podcasts and yours, and I come across this picture, and it was the exact shape and movement that I seen, So I have no doubt that's what it was. And what really convinced me is I know I seen the arm movement and I could say, okay, it was a shadow or something even seeing the picture. The shadows and stumps don't swing their arms. Yeah, So remind me approximately how far away from your your house property this sighting was.

27:13 Again, it's probably two miles as the crow flies six miles up around and it was headed towards the. House away going towards the house. You've also seen weird rock policemen. You've got broken trees and weirdly placed trees. And you said that you're seeing stuff that looks like it's twisted, like broken twisted. Did you say that, Yeah, Yeah, that's up by the gate. Fresh break is about eight feet off nine feet off the ground, and just to the left as you're looking at it, to the left of it is it might be a I think what it is is where they've logged off the tree and it started coming up from the root. So you have different tree branches coming up right, different young saplings coming up, and they're about two two and a half inches in diameter and they're broke off at a ninety degree angle, which you can tell they were twisted and broke off because it's not a clean in the MS. We call it green stick fracture right where it peels off right and you have the part of it still sticking up. It's just twisted. You can tell they just twisted it off. It was green when they did it. It was twisted and broke off. And there's three of these on this, this group of saplings growing up out of the stump.

28:44 And so it doesn't really sound like you have any neighbors around your area. No, No, The nearest neighbors up at the hard road and about a quarter of a mile down. So we're a mile off the hard road. So there's there's. No okay, there's no anywhere you could be like, hey, you know you experiencing weird stuff too. I mean that guy would be too far down the road. Yeah, there's there's there's people that access the road from farther farther past our house, a couple of miles past our house, and they ride up and down the road under motorcycle. They're off road motorcycle or their ATV or whatever.

29:26 But how they're getting on I don't know. There are a couple of miles away from us, and they're coming across timber company property to get to access that road. So the timber company does come back in that area to cut right it's it is an active working forest, so they do come back there and cut on occasion, but nothing around us. So that's why I'm saying, you know, there's no equipment coming back there. They're not coming to with a road grader or anything to drag this tree out in the road or not maintaining the roads or so. Nobody's bringing any heavy equipment and that could break off these trees or push them over. So and some of them are back three four or five feet off the road and you can as you can see that they're just pushed over. So we went to last September, September twenty twenty five. The last road out on the left is a cutaway back into the too the woods, and we don't know how far it went. We took our pickup truck down there and there are two trees pushed over across the road. So that are I'm saying twelve inches at the base that are pushed over in the road to block the road off. I'm but they're pushed over and there's other trees right there, a lot of other trees right there that if it was a wind blowing through there. My wife said, well it got pushed over.

30:57 Now they pushed it over with a bulldozer. Well there's tracks of the bulldozers the way bulldozer could get back there. There's nothing there that they're still green because part of the stump is still in the dirt where they pushed it over. And that's a heavy area for the ATVs to ride. And that was the first time we went down there, and I don't know where it goes. Because the trees were blocking the road. We couldn't go across. If you're on a mini bike you could there's something, you know, you could go around the drive over the very tips of them, but we wasn't getting across it in a pickup truck. Trees are just too big. Okay. So so man, I got a few questions, Uh, what would you say the closest to the house, you've noticed activity or stuff that's weird has been happening.

31:51 So closest to the house at the end of the driveway comes into the logging road, and right at the end of the driveway these I said, there's several big rocks, you know, like I said, the biggest two of my fists in the road. And they weren't there three weeks ago, and when I came back home one day, that there they are. Nothing has happened on the property that I know of. We got scratches on the back of our barn about eye level, and a friend came out and said that that's what we thought too, was that it was a mountain lion. Now we got chickens. Nothing ever eached the chickens. It's whatever is there is not bothering us.

32:36 And actually we kind of think that it's keeping other things from bothering us, because all along the back of the garage it's a ten siding, there's scratches in every panel all the way down. And so a friend of mine said that it was a mountain lion. We've never found tracks. I put up trail cameras, never caught anything on the trail cameras ever. But the scratches, like I said, they're at eye level, and I'm five nine five ten, and so they're at my high level. All the way down side there that that is unusual, but I could chalk it up to maybe a mountain lion. I don't know what else would do it. But in the north end of the barn there's a gouge and that goes horizontally.

33:23 It wasn't None of these were there when we moved in. We got chickens. They always go around behind the barn, so we're always back behind the barn all the time, and we just started noticing this stuff. There's a gouge for something had stuck a claw or something, a knife I don't know in the side of the barn and ripped about a foot long gash in the side of the aluminum. I don't know what would have done it. I don't we don't have It was never there before. Like I said, we just bought it in February, and so we looked when we got there, we looked all over, so it looked over everything, and all this stuff is new stuff. But the strangest things we noticed was probably less.

34:09 It's a mile to the hard road, right, so maybe two tenths of a mile is where from the house from the driveway is where we've seen that big tree broke off at the top about ten feet high, and that's what opened our eyes to say, hey, something's out here. That it was a fresh break, something's out here that's doing this. And then we started noticing the old trees that had been pushed over, and then a lot of new trees, and it's just a continuing thing. But nothing at the house. I've seen big and we have a small, real tiny river rock all around the front of the house, and I've seen impressions there, but I've seen prints for Mountain Lion there too, So I don't know what it is.

34:58 There's nothing definite, right, it's just a large impression. I'm not going to speculate to what it could be. But we don't we go outside. We don't feel any you know, we're not afraid to go outside. It's not like the there's any thread out there to us. You know. We're in the hot tuble lot, okay, And nothing has ever bothered the house or the property that we know of. So, man, this is a really really interesting one. So was it February twenty six or earlier that you purchased the property?

35:42 It was February twenty Okay, it was on Valentine's Day that we purchased the property in twenty four and it was it was early summer that we started noticing all this stuff. Early summer, like June July that we when we noticed that big tree broke over, and then we started noticing more trees and then just it's not every day, but at least once a month you see a new tree pushed over. You know, rocks in the road that you know, if it was one or two, like I said, I could justify it or I could explain it away.

36:24 Is that us driving over it would kick up or work up a rock, you know, but not twenty or thirty all along the road. You know, it's just and we don't have Like I said, there's a mini bike or an ATV that comes through there occasionally, but mostly it's just me and my wife that are driving in and out. So occasionally the game warden comes through there. You know, the logging company will check it rarely, but mostly it's just me and my wife coming in and out of the. So has your wife experienced anything weird? I would imagine there's times when you're off at work and she's on the property by herself.

37:13 Correct, Yes, yes, No, she hasn't reported to me that anything in that regards. There's been some instances that, you know, somebody was shooting out there, way too close to the house or something like that. But no, she hasn't reported anything to me. And she goes out most of the time, feeds the chickens a lot of time, especially in the winter time. We get home after dark and she will go out there and feed the chickens. And I said, we leave the chickens out a lot of times, and not overnight but during the day and nothing. It's just a small chicken coop with a small run. It's just a wire. So anything that wanted to get that big, would want to get to the chicks could have. But there's, like I said, there's no indication other than the scratches on the side of the barn of anything even attempting to disturb anything. So my daughter's been out there, she she's not reported anything. She lives in Aberdeen, but but she comes out occasionally and watches the place where we're gone, and she's not reported anything. It's just me and my wife will be driving to or from work and she'll say, hey, is that tree new or is that said Yeah, that's new.

38:35 You know, I watch for things that are the change, that are different, that aren't there, aren't out of place. The nature of my job, you know that training, you know, or habits, right, you notice things that that shouldn't be there or are out of place. They're different, they're wrong. Absolutely. Have you looked to see if there have been sightings in the past or or interactions with bigfoot in the area that you're at now? Yes, I did do a little bit of research here right before I as I come across your your podcast, and it seems like this area has been pretty heavy.

39:22 Panhandle Lake, there's been a lot around Panhanna Lake up at Hoodsport is north of US, and there's a lot of a lot of stuff around there. Because we're right at the foot of the Cascade Mountains. We see the Cascade, or not the Cascade Mountains, but the Olympic Mountains on the way home. So we're right at the foothills. I guess of that because we're surrounded by I wouldn't call them mountains, but tall hills. In Illinois and southern Illinois they call the mountains, but around here they're just small hills down So yeah, there's there has definitely been some sightings because we're the last residents on that road, on that hard road for miles and there's nothing but Timber Company land out there, nothing, and so oh my goodness, it.

40:14 Just it it feels like you are about to I just think it's got a weird feeling. It feels like you're about to experience some some really interesting I mean you already are experiencing interesting stuff. But I mean I'm just taking in consideration, Like I know that the snowpack is really down this year, and so unfortunately there's yeah, my guess is probably going to be some fires up where you're at. I know Lake Cushman got hit really hard last year. And yeah, the most activity I've experienced out in Oregon have been when there was there was a fire that was nearby on the lam At, And man, I just I'm wondering, like if if there's some fires that kick up in your area and then they it starts moving around, and like I'm just like, man, what kind of activity could come come out of nowhere for you guys?

41:16 Well, you know it could. I think a lot of these there. I had speculation to myself right that when we lived in young, there was nothing there, and then there was and then nothing. They're nomadic, they go where the food is, you know, uh, and I for whatever reason, it seemed like they wintered over here. But if there is fires and things, that a great possibility that the interactivity is going to go up. You know, people are going to have more interactions, especially us being at where we are. And it seems then in my case, I've heard on on your podcast and others that you know, people are more sceptible to this, and it seems like it's increasing. It's a more intense intensive now since I'm out here, and it just seems like it's continuing to grow because I never had had a siding, never had a siding until three weeks ago, never had the type activity you know, keep an answer a little bit there, you know, very little at Yell, but out here it seems like it's it's growing in intensity. So I think I'm going to start having more and more activity.

42:34 Yeah, And it's like it feels like in the more that you start noticing stuff and kind of putting your intention onto it. I think that kind of has something to do with it too. But it'll be interesting. I mean, I would say, you know, please keep keep us in the loop with if you continue to notice things like I can't even imagine what's going to go on in that property around October. I know, yeah, well we did notice after you come off the logan rode onto the driveway, we've got a big rock and we found some pieces of metal laying up there that weren't there before, so a rusty nut and a flat plate with a hole in it. It's like, is this did the previous owners never said anything about it?

43:27 Of course they wouldn't they wanted to sell the place, But did they use those gifting rock or you know? Yeah, I don't know. So we're going to try something and see if we get a response. Now I will say that I got a sling for Christmas, a blaric sling, right like David and Gliad slain. And I was slinging into the trees behind the house and you find rounded stones and they fly the best, right the plat onems don't. And then after that I found rocks in the driveway from where I was throwing these things from that they were coming back out of the trees and into the driveway.

44:09 And that was about a month and a half ago that I was throwing them out there and right after Christmas anyway, January, middle of January, I guess. And now I'm finding rocks in the driveway that weren't there before we got a gravel driveway, and so it's you know, sharp edged, right, they're not good for slaying it with the round rocks in which they're plentiful out here, but not in the driveway. And now I'm finding in the driveway. So some of those rocks are coming back out of the woods definitely. So you're saying that you are are contemplating setting up maybe some kind of gifting situation.

44:54 Yeah, I don't know if that's a good idea, but we thought about it. It's down at the end of the driveway. We've got a gate at the end of the driveway way and it's on the other side of the gate. Yeah, and it's rocks, and I guess it's about a foot and a half. It's almost like a rounded cube a foot and half by foot and a half, I would guess it. Uh, And these pieces of metal were laying on top, and so they weren't there before we walked down the road, you know. So we go down the driveway. We walk past this rock all the time, and so we just found them this week. So wow, we're gonna we're gonna try it. Put some plumbs out or something. Okay, yeah, yeah, definitely, and see what.

45:37 See what happens. I had set some rocks out on a on a stump. The previous owner had carved a stump into the shape of like a a mushroom, and I put some lights and rocks out there, and a couple of weeks later they forgot about it for and then it's like, oh, wonder where those rocks are. They're gone. I don't know. Maybe a squirrel or bird got up there knocked them off and I don't know, but anyway, they're gone. They were on the stump over by where the woods where I was slinging the rocks and so, and this was last summer that I stuck them up there, just to you know, put them up there. I don't know, and you know, they're gone. So I'm gonna I'm gonna try the gifting rock thing. Yeah, it would be interesting.

46:23 You know, you're saying, like plums or apples, and they put a few of those up there and see what the reaction or response is you know, if they're taken or a certain number taken. So how do you guys feel living in a potential situation like this, Are you feeling a certain way towards stuff that you're starting to experience. Curiosity more than anything. It's I don't, like I said, I don't feel fear. I don't have a problem walking out and the property, going to own up to the chicken house, going to my shop, whatever. You know, there's a lot of times that I'll need something out of the shop to fix something at the house, especially in the winter time it's dark right in the evenings. We never felt any fear. We don't feel like we're in any threat of anything. So right now it's just curiosity to see what would what's going to.

47:27 Can I ask what your religious background is? Yeah, I'm a Christian, Yeah yeah, yeah. Raised in the church, got away from it for a while, but now I am Yeah, I see the way of the world, So I am full Gospel, Holy Roland the most. So I've been in this for four or five years, and I would say for people that start to get into this subject and start to experience activity, one of the one of the best pieces of advice I can give is to figure out what you put your trust in and make sure that you are actively trusting in that during this time, because stuff can, stuff can really start to happen, and it can be it can get really weird. But you know, if you're the name of Jesus is very strong, and you know there's nothing more powerful than Jesus Christ for sure. So I think as long as you're able to to keep that in mind, which you definitely are, I think that's that's one of

48:58 the most important things. But can get very interesting. Well, other things, other things in our life have strengthened our faith. We had a little ultra light airplane. It's a little tubular steel two place thing, right, and we thought it was going to be a ministry. The colors were red, black and white, you know, black for the sand, washed by the blood and left us white as snowe and so we were going to try to use that. We always said, if it doesn't work out, we'll praise him anyway. And it didn't work at it well, it crashed.

49:39 The runway was rough and it stuck the elevator in the up position and I couldn't get it on. So I just slamming on the ground and I ended up wrapping it around a railroad tie they had sticken in in the ground hole to tie back a hangar door, and it just folded that little airplane around it. But we praised him anyway. So we found this place then, and we wanted a place with a landing strip on our flat land, you know, so we can make a landing strip. And it didn't work out, but uh, our faith is just getting stronger, and so yeah, that's where we put faith in trust. That's great thinking this, it's doug This is really really interesting one, just because it's always it always gets me, Like there's when I talk to someone where you can feel they're right in the middle of it. They are right in the middle of it, right before things are gonna either they're either just be flat lined or they're going to like really ramp up, like you you know, it's kind of like you're going up a roller coaster.

50:41 You have that weird feeling, and it's I don't feel in every interview where I'm talking, but sometimes you can just like tell you and be like, oh man, yeah, it is like right there. It's very very very strange. But I yeah, so I want to make sure that you're you know able to to share all the things that you've experienced so far in this area out in Shelton. Yeah.
