Army Scouts Watched It Climb a Waterfall in 10 Seconds
An Army sergeant says he watched an eight-foot figure climb a steep, moss-covered waterfall in ten seconds. That night, rocks started coming out of the darkness.
During survival training on Washington’s Huckleberry Mountain in 1989, a group of Army scouts spotted something across the river. One soldier readied his M16. The figure stood, turned toward them, growled, and scrambled up the waterfall.
The sergeant says small rocks continued landing around the soldiers during their remaining two weeks of training. Some struck their helmets. When they spoke with a local logger, he had a specific question: “Did it throw rocks at you?”
Who was throwing the rocks—and how did the logger know to ask?
In Bigfoot Society Episode 1230, Jeremiah Byron also hears from a camper who describes unfamiliar, speech-like sounds coming from multiple directions deep in Pisgah National Forest. His black Labrador stayed awake, pacing through the night. An Illinois truck driver recounts watching a forty-foot tree shake and fall across both highway lanes, and a Smokies vacationer describes deep calls beyond a secluded cabin.
Listen for firsthand accounts, strange wilderness experiences, and the details witnesses still struggle to explain.

Hi there, sir. How's it going?
45 Yeah. Good. All right. What did you experience out there in Washington, sir? Well, we were at a Fort Ord, California, and we went up there to Huckleberry Mountain training camp as a reconnaissance scout. And we went into these deadfalls where they cut the trees down and it rained every day, but we were way out there and they were making us do lean-to's and showing us how to preserve meat in the river when it's cold. And we were taking a break and a private, I was a sergeant, a private goes, hey, look at that big bear over there. I'm like, what? So we all looked across the river and it looked like a bear, but now I know it was sitting on its, and my other buddy, we, we carry live rounds.
29 We're not supposed to, but we did. And he pulled the charging handle and the thing like knew what we were doing. It stood up, turned around and looked right at us. And it was super huge. Like, I don't know, it looks like eight foot tall to me. So he, my buddy pointed the M16 at it and it all looked at us and made like a, super loud like growl and it ran up this creek about 25 feet in front of us and it literally climbed a sheer rock moss rocky waterfall in literally 10 seconds and if me and you were to walk over there it would take us 45 minutes to go up it and we stood in awe and then after that um We were all talking about it, and I'm the first one, because I always believed in book. I said, that's a Bigfoot, and they all agreed. So in the middle of the night, we started getting rocks thrown at us. And we figured it probably is that. And on the way back, what's really creepy is the next day, when we were walking back, we'd get little pebbles thrown at us, but we couldn't see anything. I mean, we'd stop and look around. We didn't see anything. So when I got back to the training area, another training guy took over in the morning, and we all asked him, hey, man, we've seen this big-looking thing out there. And he said, yeah, it's here.
55 It's around here. And I'm like, wow. So we tried to grind him on a bunch of stuff. He goes, well, I'm not supposed to talk about it. Now, this is 1989. I was like 21 years old. And he admitted to it, so we know what we've seen. And later on, we had to stay there another two weeks. We were very spooked when we were out there, because when it would get real quiet, the rocks would come. We didn't hear really no sticks, but we'd hear rocks coming from nowhere, hitting near us. A couple hit our helmets, but not big ones, like, I don't know, the size of a little higher than a marble. They were harassing us the whole time. It was really creepy. And that's basically, it's scary.
38 You were in the Army, 89. You're a young guy, 21. Was this like a survival training school? Yes, it was. Yeah. Okay. We were scouts at Fort Ord, and they wanted us to be mountain trained. And one of our sergeants found it. We didn't even know about it. And he booked us, and we flew there and went and trained. Oh, but later on, we ran into the loggers and we asked them about it. And he said, yeah, that he goes, did it throw rocks at you? I'm like, yeah, it did. We're we're talking about it for like 20 minutes with them. But in the army, we got to go. They wouldn't let us really talk about it. They wanted to train us more and talk about it. Hmm. That's really interesting. Did you, first off, thank you for sharing that. That's a, that's an area actually that Huckleberry mountain. I don't think I've heard anything from that area, but I will definitely keep it in mind. Did you ever hear in the rest of your, your time out there from any other people about any other experiences that were being had?
44 Yeah, a guy at Fort Lewis, Washington, my sergeant, he is from the Ranger Battalion. He said they're on a training mission in the North Washington. I've never been to the military base, but he told me they're out there and they actually shot at it because it was going through rucksacks on the ground. They tore them all apart and one of the soldiers seen them and he actually shot at the thing and the thing screamed like crazy and took off with the rucksack. They never got it back. He just ran into the woods screaming. So you're saying that guy was involved with that situation? Yeah. Oh, wow. So that's interesting because that's always a variant of that story I hear every once in a while. But I think the one I heard is like they actually, and I have to say this, they actually end up making the shot and unaliving it. But it's hard to track down like actual people.
44 I heard about. That as a guy in an APC with a government agent went out there and did that. I heard about that. Sorry, what's APC? It's a troop deployment vehicle. You can climb and put a squad in it. They do a lot of mechanizing the wood up there, and that's what they were doing. But the guy that killed that killed that thing with aâ there was like eight different guys and killed it with aâ M-60 and a couple other weapons killed it. But they flew that particular creature out. That's all I heard about it. They don't let us talk about it when you're in the military. They don't let you talk about. A lot of things. Right. That's what I hear. Do you think theyâ oh, man.
24 What did I hear once? They flew something out toâ what's the place in Ohio, right, Patterson? Yeah, yeah. I don't know if that's what you were referring to or who knows really. The one soldier that did shoot at this, he's like a corporal. He was doing a live fire exercise and they had their rucksacks leaned against the APC. This thing had the balls while they're shooting, walk up and grab the rucksacks, which is crazy, right? And I'll tell you a cool UFO story that's true too. Okay. I was in... We crossed trains with the Marines in 29 Palms. It was like 1990. And we were on a rock cliff and we had cargo nets. And my friend, as a scout, we just observe and call an air on people. And he said, hey, look at this. And I went, what? So I grabbed the binoculars and I looked through the binoculars and I seen a disc, but it had a square top and it was a stealth color, like the black dark thing. The one thing I said...
34 I thought it was man-made because it had a green and red flashing light on it. So I have what they call a phonetic code book. It's called the phonetic code book. I call Air Force on it. Back then we had Prick 77. So I called the Air Force and gave them the grid coordinates. And they said, yeah, we have it on radar. And about 15 minutes later, you can hear the two fighter planes coming in the desert. You can't see them, but you can hear them. And that thing went straight into the blue sky, straight up disappeared. And you can hear the fighter planes chase it up in the sky. And then they kind of left. And about an hour later, the thing came back to the right spot. Like we interrupted what it was doing. So I called them again and they came back. And this time it went straight across horizon. We never seen it again.
19 But mind you, where we were, there was fighter planes, Cobra helicopters, Marines and Army, everywhere. And that thing was right there. And I told my friend, whatever that was, nobody was in it. Because if you could move that fast, you'd kill everybody inside. And then later on, I heard a lot about Bob Lazar. I'm like, wow, this is incredible. Now, this is way back, you know. Wow. Wild, wild stuff. Thank you for sharing what you what you experienced back there at Huckleberry. They hear crazy stories. Another incredible story about a dogman from an 80 year old man. It's in Prunedale, California, by Moss Landing. And I if you have time, I'll tell you that one.
01 Yeah, sure. We can we can end with that. Yeah. So I told him about Dog Man and Bigfoot, and he goes, well, I think it's a dog man now that you say that. I said, what happened? He goes, I used to live on, I'll tell you the spots, I don't care, San Miguel Canyon Road. Back then in the 70s, it was kind of like dirt roads. And he said his sister, this is like 1978, came down the driveway. She goes, there's a big hairy looking dog thing that's standing up. And he went, what? So they all mocked her and laughed at her, and he was like 17. And back then, they just came out with. Light sensors. I didn't know they had them that early, right? And he said, my dad gave me this little room shack thing by the house that he let me stay in because I was a teenager guy. And he said, my automatic light came on like a week later. And when I went outside, he said this big, giant dog thing was, he looked like a wolf. He's like, holy crap.
56 So he grabbed his shotgun. And when he grabbed a shotgun it stood up on his hind legs like you hear all the other podcasts and he went oh and frightened him i said what'd you do this guy's so brave he goes i shot it i shot it like four times like what happened he goes it ran it like it didn't affect it and he said it ran like And jumped 40 feet and tried to hit the edge of the barn to get on the roof, but it missed it. Claw scratched all the way down to the bottom. And it ran in the barn. I said, what'd you do? And he goes, I went in the barn. I went, what? So he goes in the barn. I said, what was there? He goes, nothing. It like vanished, disappeared. I said, that's amazing. True story. That's wild. Oh, man. Went to the Pajaro River. And these guys are living in the river, and I go down there, and I said, hey, man, you guys ever see anything strange?
46 And the guy looks at me, he goes, you mean like Bigfoot? I go, yeah. He goes, matter of fact, yeah. And I went, what? He goes, oh, yeah. It comes around at nighttime. It even waved at him across the river. I went, what? He goes, yeah, it sat down and waved at me. I said, what'd you do? He goes, I waved back. I went, what? So I said, show me, I got my phone out and he showed me and there's still tracks everywhere. Big ones, little ones, footprints all over the place. I filmed it all. I'll send that to you. Whoa. Yeah. That's oh man. That's awesome. Yeah. Thank you. Wow. And there's a place on one 29 and between Watsonville and San Juan Bautista called the Pajaro gap and the Bigfoot Felton guy. He said he gets a hundred calls a year from Bigfoot there. And my ex neighbor told me he's the air force retired. I lived on, on the river. He said, Bill, I got to tell you something. I went over there.
32 I said, what? And he goes, don't tell anybody, but I've seen Bigfoot across the river staring at me. I said, no kidding. He goes, yeah. I said, no, I believe you. And he said, across the street, the eucalyptus, the next day, it kept looking at me. And he said, my dogs ran in the house. They're German Shepherds. They wouldn't go near it. He dies. And I asked his daughter like a year later, I said, remember that story your dad told me about the Bigfoot? And he said, she goes, yeah. I said, did you ever sit? She goes, yeah, I did. I was doing crawl dads with a fishing line with a hot dog and it got real quiet. I looked up and it was staring, looking right at me. Oh my goodness. She goes, I ran to my house and told my dad. I mean, those are just stories I hear. I have a bunch of them. Those are the cool ones, right?
12 That's in Washington, you're saying? No, this is in Watsonville, California, Hollister. Okay. Who was the, you said there's a guy who gets like, He gets phone calls about Bigfoot, or what is he? Oh, this guy's Mike at Felton Bigfoot Museum in Felton, California. Oh, Mike Rugg? Yeah, he's been Santa Cruz. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah, right. Yeah, I don't know much about him. I know he was on the Coast to Coast at one time. Yeah, he is. I actually heard recently that they are, it sounds like they're shutting that place down, unfortunately, just because.
53 He's getting so, so far up in years, yeah. Well, he said every year he gets like 100 phone calls on the Pajaro River about Bigfoot. Oh, I don't doubt it at all, yeah. It's wild. They follow the Eucalyptus and the Pescadero Creek into the Santa Cruz Mountains. I even had a Cal Fire guy tell me, you're not going to believe this, by San Jose on the northeast side of the Santa Cruz Mountains. He said, we're up there doing CalPERS stuff and something was throwing rocks at us. And he called his lieutenant. He said, get out of there. He goes, why? He goes, just get out of there. There's like a creature there. He never told me what it was, but I believe him. Right. So.
34 That's all. Yeah, dude, you you've got some great stories. Thank you for sharing. Oh, yeah, sure. I'll email you those videos. They're incredible, man. You'll flip out. Awesome. I'll be looking forward to it. Thank you. All right. Bye. Hey, Zaharan. Hey, good evening. How are you? Hey, doing well. Thanks for coming up. What brings you up, sir? Well, I just got done eating dinner and I scrolled through and I found you're alive. So I follow Bigfoot. I watched Finding Bigfoot, all its episodes. But then they weren't too serious about it. But then a new team came, Expedition Bigfoot, where they have scientists and Dr.
26 Maria. Now, she's a doctor, dude. And they're all out there investigating Bigfoot. So I really got into it more. And as a truck driver, I deliver local Coca-Cola. um, from one Coca-Cola plant to the other. And I, I picked up one out of L-Civ. That was my regular run, which is from L-Civ, Illinois to Duquine, Illinois, which is pretty close to Carbondale, Illinois. Yeah. And usually I take it a straight through 300 mile run, um, 43,000 pounds of Coca-Cola. And, uh, I take route 15, route 14 as, as the exit to get me to Washington street.
08 And that's my regular route. And, um, One night, it was around five in the morning, it's a two-lane highway, and about 200 yards ahead of me to my right, there's like a swamp in the forest, and a tree was shaking back and forth, but you couldn't see what was shaking it. So I saw it shaking and waving back and forth, so I slowed down because I suspected it was gonna come down in front of me. It was about 40 foot long tree and it just came down straight through the whole, both lanes, both ways of the highway and it just shattered into five pieces. And I couldn't see.
54 What brought it down. But when I watched Expedition Bigfoot and how they would point their infrared on something And they could see it through the infrared, but when they take it off, they couldn't see it. I was able to maybe suspect maybe a Sasquatch has something. To do with extraterrestrial, maybe. You couldn't see it and knock that tree down. Yeah, I mean, it's stuff like that that makes you wonder, right? Yeah. So, I mean, what, what could have, I mean, there was no wind, there was nothing. It was, it was that only tree that was shaken back and forth, but four or five times. And then it just went straight down in front of me, you know, and, uh, the state trooper had to show up and we both got out and a bunch of car drivers came out and we had to pull that tree out of the way, but we couldn't go to where the tree was. to see what brought it down because it was a little swampy and a little muddy, you know. But then I watched the show about the Shawnee, Bigfoot and Carbondale or something over there. There was a big, they made a big movie out of it over there. So I'm suspecting Bigfoot is around there, man, because I'm reading a lot of stuff on Google of Bigfoot reports in southern Illinois's.
22 Um i just wanted to share that with. You thank you for sharing because you're absolutely correct in southern illinois in that area shawnee national forest there's a ton of reports uh murfreesboro has the murfreesboro uh monster and they actually have a festival there every year in murfreesboro there's that was a big bigfoot sighting. In the 1970s so. Yeah, if I was driving truck around there, I would be keeping my eyes out, dude. No question. I always do. I always kept my eyes on, be on the lookout for a Sasquatch or something that. Unusual, but never seen anything. But that one particular area really caught my attention. And I stopped going there at that time of day. Actually, when I go deliver, I make sure the sun is up when I'm exiting that ramp.
15 Yeah. But I think Bigfoot does exist, and I think we're closing in on it. I think we are getting very close, because if you watched the final episode of season four of Expedition Bigfoot, where they did find. Bigfoot prints, fresh prints. I mean, he was just there. They just missed him by like a minute or two. But for some. Reason, it's interesting. For some reason, I noticed anytime someone closes in on discovering Sasquatch, somehow the government interferes and creates like a distraction or or some something where they say, oh.
05 You know, there's a forest fire. You can't you can't investigate no more. And they have to shut down everything. So it's always in the end. The government always interferes for some unknown reason. I think they have something to do with it. They know about it, and they just don't want it exposed or something. There's always some kind of cover-up trying their very best to keep it from going. Public, I think. Yeah, it'll be interesting to see what happens maybe in the next few years. But, sir, thank you for coming up. Keep me in the loop if anything else. comes across the front of your truck, my email's right there on screen. You can reach out. Yeah, will do for sure.
47 Thanks for having me, buddy. You got it, sir. Have a good one. Hi, Aaron. How's it going? Pretty good. You? Good. What brings you up, sir? Well, I was listening to that last story and it sounded kind of weird, but I've had some... some pretty strange things go on. Yeah. Uh, anything you'd be able to share? Yeah. Yeah. So, uh, I'm out here about my fire. I, uh, I'm in the woods about more than I'm out of them. And, uh, two or three times a year, I go camp at this place called bear camp. It's a national force. It's a, the Pisgah national force to be exact, uh, And North Carolina. Well, Tennessee, North Carolina border here. Yes, sir. A border. So we accessed it through a buddy's property, and I go up there, and it's me and my girlfriend. We're camping. I ain't never seen no Bigfoot, nothing like that. But something got super, super weird, kind of freaked me out. And I've only been back once since, and it was in the daytime. Oh, man.
06 What happened? So that night, we had to take a four-wheeler to get there, or dirt bike. That night, my girlfriend, she was riding a four-wheeler. We towed a little trailer behind us, and I rode my dirt bike up there, and she had the dog riding with her on the four-wheeler. We get there, we're camping, and everything's pretty normal. And one of my buddies was going to come up, but he didn't know exactly how to get there, and it's about a 30... the 40 minute ride back down the mountain to get somebody so uh she was going to ride the four down there i drank a little beer and i was like i'm not riding my dirt bike so she goes down the mountain and i'm sitting there with my dog well probably 10-15 minutes goes by and i'm pretty much by the fire well all of a sudden my dog starts growling and i got a black lab At that point, he's 12 years old. He's 14 years old now. And he's been in the woods most of his life. He's never acted like this. So he starts growling pretty bad. But I'm trying to comfort him, just talking to him. Well, I start hearing stuff and this is what sketches me out that I don't hear nobody talk about. It sounded like people were chanting around us.
33 Like it sounded like a different language and it would come to the left of me and then to the right and then like behind. And it came from all around me. And my dog was going absolute crazy. So luckily where I camped there at bear camp, I had signal. I called my girlfriend. I was like, where yet? And she was like, Oh, I just met Sawyer. We're on our way back up the mountain. I was like, all right, good deal. I was like, how about he's with you? And she's like, Oh, it's me, Sawyer, and Emily. I was like, all right, get it here as quick as you can. And my dog's just going absolute nuts. And then I seen, looking up through this mountain, there's bear hunters and stuff out here, but it wasn't bear season, but people hunt when they want. I can see a light up on the ridge over there, and I'm thinking, that's pretty much a waterfall right there. There should be nobody there. And then the light was gone, and went to the other side and I could still hear this chanting.
38 It wasn't like chanting really, it was just kind of like a, like when you hear somebody speak a different language that you don't know. And it freaked me out and my dog was doing pretty crazy but I had enough of it so I grabbed my Glock and I busted about four or five rounds off into the bank. And after I did that, it quit. And then my girlfriend and my buddy Sawyer and his girlfriend Emily, they showed up on four wheelers. And we had a pretty normal night, but I couldn't go to sleep. I sat like in the footwell of my four wheeler by the fire the rest of the night kind of watching my dog.
20 He never would go to sleep. He paced around all night. And it was just a thing I've never really heard anybody talk about is experience like that with like a different language kind of being taught. And it kind of echoed, kind of resonated, kind. Of. A few questions for you. First, there's a good question down in the comments from Vegas Mom. It's good to see you again. Did you smell anything weird around that time? Not really. I never really smelt anything. Okay. Anything, nothing would alarm me. I mean, at that, at that point, you know, we had a campfire going and I had some cooking going on. So that probably would have smelled that more than anything. Sure.
12 Yeah. Um, have you ever heard the Sierra sounds before? No, I don't even know what that is. Okay. So back in the early seventies, there was a gentleman who, uh, recorded some Bigfoot out in the Sierra mountains of California. And, uh, you can find it on YouTube. If you search for, um, Sierra sounds, you'll find it. And I'm curious if what you heard there was similar to what Ron Moore had recorded back in the seventies, kind of sounds like it might be similar. Uh, and if it is like, if you could check it out afterwards, you feel free to send me an email to let me know what you think, but Or did it also sound like people mumbling as well?
02 It sounded like a language I didn't know. Did it sound like something from a country like China or Japan at all? That's what I've told all my friends. It sounded like somebody speaking Chinese. Bingo. Okay. Yeah. Oh, boy. So that's how people describe the Sierra sounds is that it sounds like that, kind of like a samurai type chatter language. So I'd be very curious if you look that up on YouTube, just search for Sierra sounds, you'll find it. And let me know if that sounds like what you heard. Wow. How long ago was that again?
44 Not two years ago. Two years ago. Yeah, I've only been back. It freaked me out pretty bad. It was the weirdest thing I've encountered. I mean, I spent most of my time in the woods, and that's the only place it's ever happened to me at that point. Is that bear camp, is that on any maps, or is that just kind of a nickname that you call it? Oh, that's a nickname. You won't find this on a map. Oh, yes, sir. Yep. I got you. You ain't even getting there unless you... go through private property and I gotcha. Yeah. It's not, it's not legal to be there. I mean, you're up in forest service property and yeah, but it's a, it's a thing you can do a couple of times a year.
28 I used to, I mean, to be fair, that's why you're experiencing that out there because it's like pretty much no one else can get out there. Right. It sounds like, you know, it's, it's not an easy place to get out there. Yeah, it takes, I mean, so you got to have a pretty big machine to get there anyway. Yeah. Like this, this is what I usually take up there. And that. Oh yeah. That's a big toy. Yep. Yeah. Oh yeah. But we, before we'd cut it in, we had to take four wheelers and dirt bikes to get there. Cause you just couldn't put a side by side up there.
10 The trails were so tight. Like the mountain Laurel. had like grown in like a dome type shape. Yep, yep. Yeah, that mountain laurel is pretty crazy from what I hear. So that night I went up there, I took a bucket up there because I was going to hunt that area. So in the bucket, I put a few cans of soup in there, some rounds I usually carry, just as kind of like a safe spot to go back to if any issues happened. Well.... My buddy went back up there probably a month or so later and the bucket was gone and I hung it. I didn't hang it high. I hung it, maybe screwed it about head level with me, which is probably six foot. Well, the bucket was gone, completely missing. I can actually send you pictures of this. The canned food was crunched into a triangle. And at first I thought there was a, I thought it had been shot. Because it had holes in it, but none of the holes went out. They all bent in.
21 Wow. Yeah, that would be interesting to see for sure. There's another question from the comments. When you had that encounter up there, were there sounds in the forest? Did you hear anything else or was it pretty quiet? Uh just typical forest sounds i mean there was nothing that alarmed me until my dog started going crazy and that's when you know usually when my dog growls that's when i'm like what's going on you know right but then it kind of Oh, here's my girlfriend. She just got here. Jess, you remember that night at bear camp when I freaked out?
06 Mm-hmm. What did I say that it sounded like? You know, like Japanese or something? Nice. She just walked up from over there. Yep. Bingo. But yeah, it was a crazy, crazy thing to hear. Wow. That is incredible. I would love to hear what your reactions are after you look that up on YouTube just to see if it's similar. But yeah, if you could send those pictures over, I'd love to see them as well. My email is up on screen for you. All right. Yeah, I can probably see them too. What do you think Bear Camp is from base of the mountain where we put in eight, nine miles maybe. Yeah, it's about 30 minutes on a four-wheeler dirt bike. It's probably eight or nine miles up the mountain.
05 Okay. Wow. So it's not frequented by anybody. And if I. If I was to show it to you on the map, it's kind of... There's like... There's really nothing around it. There's no forest service roads... No real hiking trails. It's just kind of a thing that a few local people cut in back in the day on three wheelers. Did you ever talk to anyone else that goes up to that area to see if they've had similar things happen? It's crazy because I talked to, I went to, I do construction and I went to this dude's house and I was talking to him about it, and he's like, yeah, we had a cabin over there. There used to be an orchard over there. And he's like, we had a cabin over there with my uncle, and he said it burned down one night, but they went back up there and were trying to, you know, rebuild it and stuff.
07 And he was saying, he's like, man, I heard it sound like somebody speaking in tongues. He's like, I got scared and I got out of there. And I was like, oh, mine didn't really sound like tongues. It just sounded like a language like I didn't really understand. And this dude's like 60 years old. Yeah. This is incredible. Wow. Yeah. Keep me up to date with what is going on up in that area. I mean, that sounds extremely interesting. Well, I'm each Tennessee. Okay. I could probably throw about three rocks and hit hot springs. Yep man aaron thank you for coming up dude this is extremely interesting.
55 Yeah the thing that's weird is i camp i don't know probably one to two weekends a month and that's the only thing i've ever had that's been questionable you know a lot of people go hunt for stuff like that and everything that's the only thing i've ever had in my life and you know i'm 36 years old and that's the only thing i've ever had that's been like I don't know what that was. That was just odd. But after I shot my pistol off, it was pretty dead the rest of the night. Yeah, not surprising. I mean, usually you do something like that and they're going to shut up. And the other weird thing was me and my girlfriend were there and we didn't hear nothing. And I didn't hear nothing or anything until she left and it was just me and the dog. And then that's, that's when it was weird. Cause it was like a, it was like real faint. And then it like would ramp up and then it would be in a different direction. It was, I don't know. It was crazy. It was like something to see on movies.
03 Um, that area, did you notice anything weird with the trees? Like trees snapped, snapped over or bent over or anything like that? No okay no there's nothing there's nothing that you know you always hear stuff like that like oh they stuff bend stuff this way and around here it's always like indians used to bend stuff to point to water so it's kind of look for stuff like that and i i've never seen anything like that i mean this is the only time i ever had anything that made me wonder like well what was it and then some people had told me like Oh, maybe heard like a radio echoing off the mountain. It's like... No. I don't think so because it would have stayed the same direction pretty much.
54 And then where did the light come from? That's another thing I don't understand. Another question for you from the comments, which is a good one. Anything that looks like extremely big, extremely large deer beds on the ground? We got huge deers around here. There's a lot of bears too. Really, really, you know how they sometimes make beds on the ground? Mm-hmm. But they would be like really long, like seven to eight feet. Nothing like that. No, so this area is pretty much, imagine you're pretty much going up a mountain, down a mountain, and back up a mountain. There's nowhere like flat for like deer to bed or anything here.
41 Okay. It's just like, imagine like really rocky mountain terrain and pretty much nowhere flat. All right. Interesting. It's kind of weird. All the rocks are kind of, I don't know, they're about head size or so. Like you can't even really sleep in a tent up there. Like you have to hammock tent or you have to hammock camp because you just can't sit a tent up. It's just too rocky and the land's not level. Are there any caves up there? Yeah, there's one probably half a mile from where I was.
22 But it's, it's tight. You can't get in it. Oh, but there is something. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. There's a little spring that comes out of it. Yeah. That was a good question. Good job. Mountain kind of V's right there, but I went down to the front of it. It's maybe a, I don't know, foot by three foot crack or something like nothing can really get in it. Sounds like a pretty good area. It sounds like, I mean, you've got, you already said you've got big deer. So you have, um, you have large deer in that area. Do you have a lot of deer too?
02 Oh yeah. Yeah. So you got the food source too. We've got a lot of deer, bear. There's a few people that go up there and they're like ginseng hunt, like they hike. But it pretty much doesn't really get frequent. And there's really the only way you can access it is through private property. And it's a handful of people that can kind of access that trail system. No trees that form an X, right? I don't know. I never look for anything like that. You're not looking for it. Yeah, I got you. Yeah, it's a thing where if you're not looking for it, you're probably not going to notice it. But, Aaron, I appreciate you coming up, man. Keep me in the loop with if you hear anything else or see anything else in that area, and I'll be looking for your email, man.
52 Yeah, I'll shoot you. How do I find your email? It's right there on screen. It's bigfootsociety at gmail.com. Bigfootsociety. Hey, I'll send that to you right now. As soon as I get off, I'll send it to you, and you can look at it. All right. Thanks, Aaron. Have a good night. Hey, and thanks for coming up. What did you guys experience out there in the Smokies? Yeah, so we were just taking a family vacation to a cabin out there, and it was just me. I was going out to the hot tub that was on the back deck there, and I So, like, it started off, like, it almost sounded like, at first I thought it was just people, like, normal people, like, hooting and hollering, like, way off in the distance. But, like, there was something really off about it. And it was, like, very deep and, like, almost like a little grunting as well. And I almost feel like any normal person would probably just, you know, just think, oh, that's just normal people. But me being into Bigfoot.
49 It, like, really, like, piqued my interest. Do you mind sharing what town it was in? It was in Severville, like in between Gatlinburg and. I was going to guess that. I've gotten. At least. I've done one interview with a guy that had an encounter similar at an Airbnb cabin in that town. And I've gotten more than a few emails. I am not surprised at all, dude. I mean, it just feels like that area is wild for it.
30 Yeah because like because it's like a big vacation hot spot so like i went i wasn't expecting to like experience anything but and like and like another thing that made me think it wasn't people is because like we were in a very secluded spot too because like there's like there's like a bunch of like I guess you could call it neighborhoods there, but like this one was very secluded and like where the noise was coming from. I don't think there was any cabins or anything in that direction. So any other, uh, weird things you experienced with your senses at night, like sounds that didn't belong besides that or smells or anything like that?
10 No smells, but I definitely didn't feel alone. Okay. And I don't know if something felt off. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like it's not, it's not like something crazy exciting, but it was just interesting to say the least. I mean, it's another, it's another piece of like another anecdote that just proves that that area has weird stuff going on. So I appreciate you coming up. Yeah, no problem, man. All right, dude, you have a good one. Thanks. You too. If you've had a Bigfoot encounter of your own, I would love to hear from you. You can send me an email with your encounter information. at bigfootsociety at gmail.com.
50 I've come out with a free report about the top 10 Bigfoot hotspots. You can go over to bit.ly forward slash BFS report. I'm Jeremiah Byron. Thanks for listening to Bigfoot Society, and I'll see you in the woods.
