A Hunter Asked for a Sign. Then a Massive Hand Covered His Head

During a solo elk hunt in the mountains of Eastern Oregon, Mark Parker began hearing the same unfamiliar grunting sound at approximately 9:30 every morning. Days later, a brown face appeared from behind a tree and watched him from only 35 to 40 yards away.

That encounter led Mark into years of investigation with Darrell Adams near Cottage Grove and the mysterious Owl Moon Lab. He describes enormous tracks, rocks thrown from the timber, food disappearing between trail-camera photographs, unexplained lights, and a massive figure crossing a forest trail after dark.

Mark also shares the deeply unsettling experience that occurred when he returned to Eastern Oregon, slept beneath the open sky, and asked whatever was nearby to give him a sign.

1
00:00:00.030 --> 00:00:02.450
I just saw the brown face and I thought, oh,

2
00:00:02.470 --> 00:00:04.730
it's another hunter. He's just got his face painted up.

3
00:00:05.330 --> 00:00:06.580
I'm like, no, that ain't right.

4
00:00:06.740 --> 00:00:09.320
Mark Parker was bow hunting alone in the mountains between

5
00:00:09.439 --> 00:00:13.980
Austin Junction and Baker, Oregon. For days, an unfamiliar grunt

6
00:00:14.060 --> 00:00:17.160
sounded behind him at 930 each morning. Then a brown

7
00:00:17.219 --> 00:00:19.829
face appeared around a tree and Mark had to determine

8
00:00:19.989 --> 00:00:23.109
exactly what he was seeing. I'm Jeremiah Byron and this

9
00:00:23.190 --> 00:00:27.309
is Bigfoot Society. What got you into Bigfoot out there

10
00:00:27.449 --> 00:00:29.489
in Oregon when you're out there on the West Coast?

11
00:00:30.480 --> 00:00:34.960
So I was, uh, actually elk hunting by myself. I

12
00:00:35.000 --> 00:00:37.500
went over to Eastern Oregon. I was going to be

13
00:00:37.560 --> 00:00:41.869
out there for I think 14 days and a buddy

14
00:00:41.880 --> 00:00:44.060
of mine was going to meet me there for just

15
00:00:44.119 --> 00:00:46.570
a couple. He was going to meet me there, um,

16
00:00:46.630 --> 00:00:48.670
labor day weekend, but the rest of the time was

17
00:00:48.710 --> 00:00:51.969
going to be by myself. And I had some stuff

18
00:00:51.990 --> 00:00:55.090
that happened to me there. Um, that's what sent me

19
00:00:55.130 --> 00:00:59.049
down the rabbit hole. Uh, what had happened was, um,

20
00:01:00.899 --> 00:01:04.159
you know as a hunter you always hunt with the

21
00:01:04.680 --> 00:01:07.290
wind in your face and I was bow hunting so

22
00:01:07.329 --> 00:01:08.890
in the mornings I'd be at the top of the

23
00:01:08.909 --> 00:01:11.510
mountain and in the evenings would be down in the

24
00:01:11.549 --> 00:01:16.409
bottoms and every morning like clockwork I always keep my

25
00:01:16.530 --> 00:01:22.849
phone you know within reach just because I like if

26
00:01:22.890 --> 00:01:24.890
the animals are coming through, I'd like to know what

27
00:01:24.939 --> 00:01:27.379
time they're coming through and to pattern them. And just

28
00:01:27.420 --> 00:01:29.400
in case I got to move to a different area

29
00:01:29.900 --> 00:01:32.420
to be able to, to get where they're, you know,

30
00:01:32.620 --> 00:01:35.719
to get my opportunity out of them. So, but every morning,

31
00:01:35.760 --> 00:01:38.959
like clockwork nine 30 back behind me, I'd hear this

32
00:01:39.540 --> 00:01:43.420
weird grunting sound that I've never heard before in my life.

33
00:01:43.799 --> 00:01:49.500
And I just, whatever, never thought anything about it. So, um,

34
00:01:51.280 --> 00:01:53.980
Didn't think anything of it. Kept hunting in the bottoms

35
00:01:54.040 --> 00:01:59.370
in the evening. Well, Wednesday evening, I was sitting down

36
00:01:59.409 --> 00:02:02.510
in the bottom over a wallow hole with a bunch

37
00:02:02.530 --> 00:02:06.290
of elk rubs and stuff. And that particular area is

38
00:02:06.349 --> 00:02:10.150
notorious for bears coming in. And so I had a

39
00:02:10.169 --> 00:02:11.789
bear tag too. And I just thought, well, I'll take

40
00:02:11.830 --> 00:02:14.449
the opportunity to maybe see if a bear comes in

41
00:02:14.509 --> 00:02:18.009
on me that night. So it's getting close to dark.

42
00:02:18.409 --> 00:02:23.159
Wind's in my face. I'm back behind me. I hear a, a, um,

43
00:02:23.539 --> 00:02:26.379
quick go and I'm like, Oh no, I'm going to

44
00:02:26.400 --> 00:02:28.969
get busted because the wind is just coming right off

45
00:02:29.000 --> 00:02:31.949
of me, going back behind me. And I hear something

46
00:02:31.990 --> 00:02:37.229
walk up right behind me and thought, why is this

47
00:02:37.270 --> 00:02:40.590
thing not running? You know, an elk, a deer, a bear,

48
00:02:40.689 --> 00:02:45.349
anything should be running. And it's a thinned out reprod patch.

49
00:02:45.430 --> 00:02:47.969
So all the brush is just literally laying on the

50
00:02:48.030 --> 00:02:51.060
ground and it's all dried up. And so you, you

51
00:02:51.139 --> 00:02:54.599
cannot be quiet in these woods. I mean, a squirrel

52
00:02:54.639 --> 00:02:57.860
sounds like a herd of elephants coming through. Well, it

53
00:02:57.900 --> 00:03:01.759
gets back behind me and it stops and it stands there.

54
00:03:02.120 --> 00:03:04.939
I'm not sure how long, it wasn't super long. And

55
00:03:04.960 --> 00:03:07.810
then it goes off to my left and there's a

56
00:03:07.840 --> 00:03:10.990
trail that comes out my left-hand side and right-hand side,

57
00:03:11.050 --> 00:03:14.610
both that go to that wallop. So I put my

58
00:03:14.650 --> 00:03:17.509
release on my string and I lean out from behind

59
00:03:17.550 --> 00:03:21.129
this tree, getting ready to draw. waiting for whatever animal

60
00:03:21.150 --> 00:03:25.110
it is to step out. And it stops right before

61
00:03:25.169 --> 00:03:29.110
it gets to the opening. So I'm just kind of waiting, waiting, waiting.

62
00:03:29.449 --> 00:03:32.229
And then it turns around, walks back behind me again,

63
00:03:32.289 --> 00:03:38.719
goes off to my right. Same thing. I spin around, wait, wait, wait, wait, nothing, nothing, nothing.

64
00:03:39.240 --> 00:03:42.240
And it does this thing probably four or five times,

65
00:03:42.280 --> 00:03:47.159
just back and forth over, I don't know, 15 minutes.

66
00:03:48.039 --> 00:03:50.550
And finally gets back behind me and I just hear

67
00:03:50.569 --> 00:03:54.400
this boom, boom, boom, real loud tree knock. And I

68
00:03:54.439 --> 00:03:57.180
thought to myself, what the heck is that? It didn't

69
00:03:57.240 --> 00:04:00.280
dawn on me. It was a tree knock at the time.

70
00:04:00.960 --> 00:04:04.219
And I'm like, it was getting dark, getting close to dark.

71
00:04:04.259 --> 00:04:06.949
And I'm like, all right, I'm out. So I threw

72
00:04:07.030 --> 00:04:10.349
a backpack on, headed back, went to camp, did a

73
00:04:10.370 --> 00:04:14.610
thingy thing of it. Um, my buddy showed up Friday

74
00:04:14.669 --> 00:04:16.750
late night and I was talking to him saying, Hey,

75
00:04:16.769 --> 00:04:21.259
I got into the elk over here, over there. Um,

76
00:04:21.459 --> 00:04:23.240
you know, they were coming in here in the morning,

77
00:04:23.319 --> 00:04:25.589
coming in here in the evening. And then I told him,

78
00:04:25.620 --> 00:04:27.519
I said, man, I had this weirdest thing ever. I

79
00:04:27.560 --> 00:04:30.980
had a tree knocked behind me. He's like, dude, that's Bigfoot.

80
00:04:31.439 --> 00:04:33.610
And it was like, then it finally clicked, you know,

81
00:04:33.629 --> 00:04:36.430
because I've always believed. But at that point it was

82
00:04:36.449 --> 00:04:39.870
like one of those until I see it, I'm not

83
00:04:39.910 --> 00:04:42.980
going to a hundred percent say it's there, but, you know,

84
00:04:43.379 --> 00:04:46.240
there's too many, you hear of too many sightings and,

85
00:04:46.740 --> 00:04:51.120
you know, go so back far back in history and stuff. So,

86
00:04:51.339 --> 00:04:54.339
you know, you never know. Uh, you know, I grew

87
00:04:54.379 --> 00:04:57.360
up in a house with a lot of paranormal activity

88
00:04:58.120 --> 00:05:00.459
and the house that I, when I was a kid

89
00:05:00.519 --> 00:05:02.980
was that way, the house I was living at, at

90
00:05:03.019 --> 00:05:06.259
that particular time, me and my daughter would have all

91
00:05:06.310 --> 00:05:11.730
kinds of stuff. We would see, um, shadow people walk

92
00:05:11.750 --> 00:05:13.730
by us all the time going from one bedroom to

93
00:05:13.750 --> 00:05:16.949
the other and then I got slapped in the house

94
00:05:17.089 --> 00:05:19.680
one time and stuff like that so for me anything

95
00:05:19.740 --> 00:05:22.259
is possible anything is possible.

96
00:05:22.279 --> 00:05:23.759
What year was that would you.

97
00:05:23.699 --> 00:05:30.319
Say 19 2019 2019 okay.

98
00:05:28.980 --> 00:05:35.350
Cool and I know a lot of hunters we're keeping

99
00:05:35.430 --> 00:05:40.060
our usually we're keeping our hunting spots kind of kind

100
00:05:40.100 --> 00:05:42.339
of vague we're keeping it to eastern oregon.

101
00:05:42.120 --> 00:05:45.550
Correct yeah well i i mean i i don't hunt

102
00:05:45.610 --> 00:05:47.850
out there anymore so i can kind of give you

103
00:05:47.949 --> 00:05:51.949
an idea it's uh just out of austin junction between

104
00:05:52.009 --> 00:05:55.350
austin junction and baker um but closer to the it's

105
00:05:55.750 --> 00:05:58.990
out of um anybody that goes over there austin junction

106
00:05:59.009 --> 00:06:02.129
there's austin house the road i turn off of is

107
00:06:02.189 --> 00:06:06.180
basically straight across from greenhorn it's about 10 miles up

108
00:06:06.220 --> 00:06:09.100
the road and then you cut in uh back in

109
00:06:09.139 --> 00:06:14.170
there It's Courtney Creek, I believe. I believe it's Courtney

110
00:06:14.209 --> 00:06:17.629
Creek road back in there. But that's not the only

111
00:06:17.670 --> 00:06:20.269
thing that happened in there. I had my first sighting

112
00:06:21.110 --> 00:06:25.089
a couple days later after that tree knock, too.

113
00:06:26.029 --> 00:06:32.360
Interesting. I was wondering, because that's like southeast of Ukiah,

114
00:06:32.420 --> 00:06:34.759
and I've gotten a few things from Ukiah over the

115
00:06:34.819 --> 00:06:41.519
years to do with elk guys. So that's, that's very interesting. Um, okay.

116
00:06:41.560 --> 00:06:47.500
So you're saying, uh, actually, are you, are you, um, man,

117
00:06:47.519 --> 00:06:49.939
whenever paranormal stuff comes up, do you mind if I, uh,

118
00:06:50.120 --> 00:06:51.939
I do a little prayer real quick. Are you comfortable

119
00:06:51.959 --> 00:06:52.279
with that?

120
00:06:53.500 --> 00:06:54.360
Yeah, no, that's fine.

121
00:06:54.420 --> 00:06:57.879
All right, cool. Dear God, thank you for this conversation.

122
00:06:57.899 --> 00:07:03.029
Help us to be safe during it, uh, bind any, um, uh,

123
00:07:03.149 --> 00:07:06.399
any demonic activity and, uh, find the devil during this

124
00:07:06.439 --> 00:07:11.139
conversation and in the lives of those who hear it. Uh, and, uh,

125
00:07:11.339 --> 00:07:12.019
the name of Jesus.

126
00:07:12.100 --> 00:07:12.360
Amen.

127
00:07:12.560 --> 00:07:17.019
All right. Thank you. So I've been taking that extremely

128
00:07:17.079 --> 00:07:20.560
serious as you'll, you'll start to hear in the show. Um,

129
00:07:21.870 --> 00:07:25.970
so you're saying that this area over by Baker, you

130
00:07:26.069 --> 00:07:30.490
also had other things happen besides you're hearing this weird

131
00:07:30.529 --> 00:07:32.110
thing in the woods. That's very interesting.

132
00:07:32.649 --> 00:07:36.170
Yeah. I, uh, Again, every morning I kept hearing the

133
00:07:36.230 --> 00:07:39.370
same thing. And then I told my buddy Tom that

134
00:07:39.430 --> 00:07:42.529
Saturday night, I said, I'm going back in where I'm

135
00:07:42.569 --> 00:07:46.439
hearing that sound tomorrow morning. I'm going to get sat

136
00:07:46.480 --> 00:07:49.759
down in there at least an hour before light. And

137
00:07:50.220 --> 00:07:53.060
that's my typical anyway. I try to get in first

138
00:07:53.079 --> 00:07:54.920
thing in the morning about an hour before light. That

139
00:07:54.959 --> 00:07:57.759
way any noise I make going in has kind of

140
00:07:57.800 --> 00:08:00.959
gone away and the animals will settle down and then

141
00:08:01.040 --> 00:08:04.269
start moving. So I got back in there. got set

142
00:08:04.329 --> 00:08:07.170
up behind a log, had a bunch of trails out

143
00:08:07.230 --> 00:08:11.790
in front of me in a small, small meadow. So

144
00:08:11.810 --> 00:08:16.410
it gets light and it's just dead quiet in there,

145
00:08:16.449 --> 00:08:20.470
not hearing anything. And then off to my left, I

146
00:08:20.509 --> 00:08:23.230
catch a little bit of motion. So I just kind

147
00:08:23.269 --> 00:08:26.129
of turn my head real slow and turn my eyes

148
00:08:26.209 --> 00:08:28.980
and I'm looking and I catch something just kind of

149
00:08:29.009 --> 00:08:31.560
flash out and go right back in. And I thought,

150
00:08:32.529 --> 00:08:34.490
that's kind of weird. What the heck, you know? And

151
00:08:34.509 --> 00:08:37.210
then it flashed out again and came back and I caught,

152
00:08:37.490 --> 00:08:40.950
caught it that time. And it was, I just saw

153
00:08:40.990 --> 00:08:43.750
the Brown face and I thought, ah, it's another hunter.

154
00:08:43.769 --> 00:08:46.360
He's just got his face painted up. I'm like, no,

155
00:08:46.379 --> 00:08:49.200
that ain't right. Because I would have heard him come in.

156
00:08:49.240 --> 00:08:52.179
Cause all the, the blow down and stuff and all

157
00:08:52.320 --> 00:08:54.279
from them thinning and stuff, I would have heard them

158
00:08:54.320 --> 00:08:56.940
come in and I never heard one sound coming in.

159
00:08:58.000 --> 00:09:00.980
So I just kept looking and then it stuck its

160
00:09:01.019 --> 00:09:03.620
head out. And I can see from like its head

161
00:09:04.100 --> 00:09:07.279
and shoulder kind of like this looking from around the tree.

162
00:09:08.019 --> 00:09:11.039
And it sat there for probably 10, 15 seconds looking

163
00:09:11.100 --> 00:09:14.919
at me. And I'm staring at it going, what? I just,

164
00:09:15.139 --> 00:09:17.679
it didn't register. I'm just looking at it like, what

165
00:09:17.720 --> 00:09:22.799
was that? It didn't register right away. And like I said,

166
00:09:22.820 --> 00:09:25.200
it was probably 15 seconds or so. And it pulled

167
00:09:25.259 --> 00:09:28.679
its head back. I never heard it walk off. Nothing.

168
00:09:29.460 --> 00:09:33.259
So I got up. probably after about five minutes or

169
00:09:33.320 --> 00:09:36.620
so headed up over the hill, hit the bottom, hit

170
00:09:36.639 --> 00:09:39.159
the Creek line, got all the way back to camp,

171
00:09:39.279 --> 00:09:41.879
packed up all my crap, had it in the truck,

172
00:09:42.259 --> 00:09:45.039
got in the truck and was sitting there. And then

173
00:09:45.559 --> 00:09:47.950
Tom comes out after a while and he's like, why

174
00:09:47.970 --> 00:09:50.929
are y'all packed up? I'm like, I'm done. I'm just,

175
00:09:51.009 --> 00:09:53.049
I'm ready to go home. I didn't tell him. I

176
00:09:53.090 --> 00:09:56.710
didn't tell anybody right away what happened. And I didn't

177
00:09:56.750 --> 00:10:01.059
even notice at the time, but once the, uh, adrenaline

178
00:10:01.120 --> 00:10:05.139
crashed or, you know, wore off and I crashed, I

179
00:10:05.220 --> 00:10:07.360
peed my pants and I didn't even know it when I,

180
00:10:07.659 --> 00:10:12.950
you know, until after the fact. And anyway, Tom was saying, well,

181
00:10:12.990 --> 00:10:14.750
why are you leaving? You still got like a week.

182
00:10:14.970 --> 00:10:16.509
I'm like, no, I'm done. I need to go home,

183
00:10:17.289 --> 00:10:20.269
see the family. all that stuff. I said, I'm just,

184
00:10:20.429 --> 00:10:22.590
I'm burnout, you know, just kind of playing it off.

185
00:10:22.789 --> 00:10:25.610
And I was just way too tired to try and

186
00:10:25.629 --> 00:10:32.350
drive home Sunday afternoon. So I just slept and slept

187
00:10:32.389 --> 00:10:35.590
there that last night and headed out. I woke up,

188
00:10:35.669 --> 00:10:37.330
I don't know what time it was in the morning,

189
00:10:37.429 --> 00:10:40.309
really early and drove home.

190
00:10:41.970 --> 00:10:45.950
Oh, that's wild. How high up on the tree was the,

191
00:10:46.970 --> 00:10:49.549
When you saw the face like peeking out around the tree.

192
00:10:50.190 --> 00:10:56.149
I would guess if he was standing there, standing up,

193
00:10:56.200 --> 00:11:01.340
he was maybe seven-ish foot tall. He wasn't like super massive.

194
00:11:01.580 --> 00:11:04.720
But again, I don't know how far he was leaning,

195
00:11:04.779 --> 00:11:07.779
you know, if he was squatted or anything like that.

196
00:11:07.840 --> 00:11:10.509
But from just kind of what I saw, I would

197
00:11:10.549 --> 00:11:13.389
guess if he stood up, he'd probably been about, you know,

198
00:11:13.450 --> 00:11:15.870
seven-ish foot tall. Okay.

199
00:11:16.529 --> 00:11:19.970
And how far away from you distance wise was this again?

200
00:11:21.029 --> 00:11:24.860
Maybe 35, 40 yards. Oh man.

201
00:11:25.620 --> 00:11:30.080
Wow. So like just over a, well, tennis court is

202
00:11:30.120 --> 00:11:31.039
like 25 yards.

203
00:11:31.779 --> 00:11:33.059
Yeah. So, okay. Yeah.

204
00:11:33.100 --> 00:11:37.789
That's not, that's not too far, man. So it, it

205
00:11:37.830 --> 00:11:42.909
affected you so, and, and that really plays and, into

206
00:11:42.950 --> 00:11:45.629
things you hear and things I've experienced with adrenaline as well.

207
00:11:45.669 --> 00:11:48.039
I mean, it just, it just wiped you out and

208
00:11:48.080 --> 00:11:51.559
you just slept. Um, did anything weird happen during, um,

209
00:11:53.740 --> 00:11:56.840
the time that you had that sleeping and you're just like,

210
00:11:56.860 --> 00:11:59.960
you're just wiped out and you've been driving.

211
00:12:00.000 --> 00:12:04.129
Yeah. I was crashed out. I slept hard, really hard

212
00:12:04.169 --> 00:12:04.570
that night.

213
00:12:10.000 --> 00:12:11.620
So you're able to see it for a little bit.

214
00:12:11.840 --> 00:12:16.679
Were you able to see any facial features or emotions

215
00:12:17.259 --> 00:12:18.039
or anything like that?

216
00:12:18.220 --> 00:12:21.700
So I didn't get a lot of details because I

217
00:12:21.759 --> 00:12:24.919
just wasn't. I wasn't focused on that. I was just

218
00:12:25.159 --> 00:12:27.500
focused on what in the heck is that, you know,

219
00:12:28.820 --> 00:12:33.139
kind of apish looking, thin lips, nose like ours, but

220
00:12:33.379 --> 00:12:38.639
bigger and, you know, flat and wide and the conical head.

221
00:12:39.080 --> 00:12:41.419
And then like his hairline, it came and it was

222
00:12:41.460 --> 00:12:44.259
just kind of cleared his eyes, come down, cleared around

223
00:12:44.299 --> 00:12:47.299
his mouth and, you know, the rest of it hair.

224
00:12:47.620 --> 00:12:51.230
I couldn't tell you how long he was a chocolate

225
00:12:51.259 --> 00:12:57.620
brown hair. fur and chocolate brownish skin. I'd say the

226
00:12:57.659 --> 00:13:01.250
skin was probably just a little bit darker than his hair, but, and,

227
00:13:01.259 --> 00:13:03.629
you know, I could see that his eyes were like

228
00:13:04.470 --> 00:13:06.730
dark with white, but I couldn't tell you like if

229
00:13:06.750 --> 00:13:09.389
they're brown, you know, I couldn't tell you any of that.

230
00:13:09.490 --> 00:13:12.450
Couldn't tell you if he had ears, never. I don't

231
00:13:12.490 --> 00:13:14.309
know what his teeth looked like. I don't know any

232
00:13:14.330 --> 00:13:17.529
of that. I just, like I said, I wasn't focused

233
00:13:17.629 --> 00:13:18.289
on any of that.

234
00:13:18.960 --> 00:13:21.000
But yeah, it makes total sense. So you're saying you

235
00:13:21.019 --> 00:13:24.769
could see whites around the dark part of the island.

236
00:13:25.350 --> 00:13:25.629
Yeah.

237
00:13:25.769 --> 00:13:29.350
Okay. What was the trip like back home for you?

238
00:13:29.370 --> 00:13:32.789
I was by myself. So it was just quiet all

239
00:13:32.820 --> 00:13:33.149
the way home.

240
00:13:33.549 --> 00:13:35.759
Just quiet the whole, the whole way kind of lost

241
00:13:35.820 --> 00:13:37.009
in your thoughts about it or.

242
00:13:37.059 --> 00:13:38.379
Yeah. Yeah. Okay.

243
00:13:40.279 --> 00:13:44.919
That's wild. Um, how long was it until you shared

244
00:13:44.970 --> 00:13:46.490
with someone what had happened?

245
00:13:48.440 --> 00:13:51.100
Um, I told my buddy Tom, who was there with me. Oh,

246
00:13:51.100 --> 00:13:56.250
it was maybe a week later. And then same with

247
00:13:56.289 --> 00:13:59.190
my ex-wife. I'd let her know around the same time.

248
00:13:59.210 --> 00:14:02.610
And Tom, he's like, man, you should have told me

249
00:14:02.649 --> 00:14:04.370
we would have went back in there and look for

250
00:14:04.409 --> 00:14:07.110
tracks and stuff. And I'm like, no, we wouldn't have.

251
00:14:07.190 --> 00:14:10.570
Maybe you, I wasn't going back in there at the time.

252
00:14:10.610 --> 00:14:12.570
There was no, no way.

253
00:14:12.590 --> 00:14:19.879
Yeah, man, it's, uh, Talking to, I figured it out

254
00:14:19.899 --> 00:14:23.299
the other day, talking to over a thousand people, it

255
00:14:23.360 --> 00:14:29.679
affects people in different ways. And so my question then

256
00:14:29.970 --> 00:14:33.450
that I had was your buddy that you had left there,

257
00:14:34.610 --> 00:14:35.950
did he have anything happen?

258
00:14:37.129 --> 00:14:39.769
No, no, he ended up leaving the same time I did.

259
00:14:41.490 --> 00:14:43.169
When I got out and started the truck, I was

260
00:14:43.210 --> 00:14:46.909
driving a diesel, so it's loud, you know. So he

261
00:14:46.950 --> 00:14:50.110
woke up too and we both headed out the same time.

262
00:14:51.889 --> 00:14:53.929
He had to head back anyway because he had to

263
00:14:53.970 --> 00:14:56.409
go back to work. Okay.

264
00:14:58.129 --> 00:15:04.720
So having an experience like that can really affect individuals

265
00:15:04.759 --> 00:15:10.419
in a number of different ways. How were you affected

266
00:15:10.639 --> 00:15:14.909
after that? Were you a person... who, um, really got

267
00:15:14.929 --> 00:15:17.610
into the subject or you're like, I just, I can't

268
00:15:17.649 --> 00:15:20.929
handle this. I need time away from anything to do

269
00:15:20.970 --> 00:15:24.250
with Bigfoot or was it a completely different path for you?

270
00:15:25.669 --> 00:15:28.690
Um, at first I just, I didn't know what to do.

271
00:15:28.710 --> 00:15:31.629
I didn't know who to talk to, you know, I'm

272
00:15:31.669 --> 00:15:33.480
not going to go to a shrink and say, Hey,

273
00:15:33.500 --> 00:15:37.159
I saw Bigfoot and, you know, listen to them. Um,

274
00:15:38.899 --> 00:15:42.980
so it ended up what I did. I, uh, My

275
00:15:43.080 --> 00:15:45.500
buddy is a tattoo artist. So I went in and

276
00:15:45.559 --> 00:15:48.519
he did a tattoo of the outline of the state

277
00:15:48.539 --> 00:15:52.690
of Oregon with a Bigfoot stepping out from behind a

278
00:15:52.769 --> 00:15:58.490
tree and a star where exactly it had happened. And

279
00:15:58.509 --> 00:16:01.529
then at that time I was still on social media.

280
00:16:01.600 --> 00:16:06.200
So I had posted it on a Oregon Bigfoot page.

281
00:16:06.820 --> 00:16:11.539
And this was, I don't know, maybe two weeks afterwards

282
00:16:11.679 --> 00:16:14.679
after I'd kind of calmed down about it a little bit.

283
00:16:15.940 --> 00:16:21.120
And then I had somebody, a retired police officer that

284
00:16:21.879 --> 00:16:26.679
from Eugene that had moved out to Eastern Oregon. And

285
00:16:26.840 --> 00:16:30.220
he was doing a bunch of research out there and

286
00:16:30.279 --> 00:16:33.919
was asking me a few questions over messenger. And then

287
00:16:33.940 --> 00:16:36.340
he wanted to talk to me, you know, on the phone.

288
00:16:36.379 --> 00:16:37.200
So I talked to him.

289
00:16:40.679 --> 00:16:43.059
Why was it important to make a tattoo of that

290
00:16:43.100 --> 00:16:43.879
experience for you?

291
00:16:43.899 --> 00:16:52.120
I don't know if it was just ink therapy or what,

292
00:16:52.159 --> 00:16:56.120
you know? It was just kind of one of those,

293
00:16:57.590 --> 00:17:01.190
like now I have several Bigfoot tattoos and people ask

294
00:17:01.230 --> 00:17:05.250
me about them. And by the way they ask me

295
00:17:05.329 --> 00:17:07.410
is if I'll tell them or not, because if they,

296
00:17:07.529 --> 00:17:10.400
you know, oh, he's a fan. I'm not going to

297
00:17:10.460 --> 00:17:13.619
waste my time telling somebody. But if, oh, yeah, I

298
00:17:13.640 --> 00:17:16.369
believe in him or, you know, I've had some encounters,

299
00:17:16.430 --> 00:17:19.349
I'll tell him my story. But I don't know. Maybe

300
00:17:19.390 --> 00:17:21.170
it was just a way for me to cope with it.

301
00:17:21.269 --> 00:17:23.430
I'm not sure. Sure.

302
00:17:25.029 --> 00:17:28.190
The individual you're talking to, the retired police officer that

303
00:17:28.329 --> 00:17:33.410
is now a researcher out in eastern Oregon, was he

304
00:17:33.450 --> 00:17:37.660
surprised when you had shared words where the experience had

305
00:17:37.720 --> 00:17:39.759
happened or was it a thing where you're like, Oh yeah,

306
00:17:39.819 --> 00:17:43.200
I've seen other stuff happen out there, seen other reports,

307
00:17:43.259 --> 00:17:43.799
things like that.

308
00:17:44.680 --> 00:17:47.250
Yeah. He had told me, you know, he asked me

309
00:17:47.289 --> 00:17:50.289
about the details and stuff like that. And I told

310
00:17:50.349 --> 00:17:52.650
him essentially what I told you, the color and stuff

311
00:17:52.690 --> 00:17:55.130
like that and what had happened. He said that that

312
00:17:55.190 --> 00:18:00.099
was pretty stereotypical what happens out there. And he's had

313
00:18:00.190 --> 00:18:04.579
some of the same experiences, him and his team out there.

314
00:18:05.309 --> 00:18:08.609
They would go out there a few times a year

315
00:18:08.630 --> 00:18:10.630
and they would have like a big camp and then

316
00:18:10.670 --> 00:18:14.859
they would, you know, do their thing from there, you know,

317
00:18:14.890 --> 00:18:16.660
go looking and stuff like that.

318
00:18:16.680 --> 00:18:27.529
That's interesting. So I'm also very curious then, how did

319
00:18:27.589 --> 00:18:30.369
you get linked up or how did you get connected

320
00:18:30.430 --> 00:18:37.069
to Daryl Adams and the, I've never been there, but man,

321
00:18:37.329 --> 00:18:40.250
the people I have interviewed over the years, not just

322
00:18:40.289 --> 00:18:44.059
Daryl Adams, but other guys from other time periods that

323
00:18:44.099 --> 00:18:47.079
have seen not just Bigfoot, but things that look like

324
00:18:47.220 --> 00:18:50.200
aliens in Cottage Grove. Dude, it's wild out there.

325
00:18:50.480 --> 00:18:53.920
Yeah. So I actually, I got hooked up through Daryl

326
00:18:54.400 --> 00:18:56.460
from that guy, Mike, that I was talking to, the

327
00:18:56.480 --> 00:19:00.259
retired police officer. He asked me, he says, so do

328
00:19:00.299 --> 00:19:03.400
you want to learn more? And I'm like, yeah, absolutely.

329
00:19:04.349 --> 00:19:08.119
And he goes, I'll hook you up with this, hook

330
00:19:08.150 --> 00:19:12.400
you up with somebody and talk to him and go

331
00:19:12.440 --> 00:19:14.319
from there. Then he told me a couple of books

332
00:19:14.380 --> 00:19:19.079
to read and stuff like that. And so I called

333
00:19:19.180 --> 00:19:22.119
up Daryl and, you know, told him who I was

334
00:19:22.200 --> 00:19:25.849
and what had happened to me and stuff and told him,

335
00:19:25.890 --> 00:19:28.069
you know, that Mike had gave me his number and

336
00:19:29.470 --> 00:19:33.019
and uh i was ready to go down that rabbit

337
00:19:33.119 --> 00:19:37.599
hole and boy was it a hole um goodness so

338
00:19:39.119 --> 00:19:41.779
the first time i met daryl you know i met

339
00:19:41.799 --> 00:19:43.420
him at his house and we headed up to his

340
00:19:43.509 --> 00:19:45.329
area and i was talking with him and stuff and

341
00:19:46.190 --> 00:19:50.450
i told him you know i was convinced it was

342
00:19:50.529 --> 00:19:55.450
an animal 100% it's an animal and I told him

343
00:19:55.529 --> 00:20:01.519
I said these people are just absolutely crazy and that's

344
00:20:01.579 --> 00:20:05.319
what I thought and boy my mind got changed down

345
00:20:05.380 --> 00:20:05.640
in the.

346
00:20:05.599 --> 00:20:08.359
Al Moon lab I was going to say, I wanted

347
00:20:08.380 --> 00:20:10.279
to make the connection, but you just made it. So

348
00:20:10.400 --> 00:20:13.670
you're meeting Daryl at his owl moon lab house, right?

349
00:20:14.750 --> 00:20:17.250
Not at his owl moon house. When he moved away

350
00:20:17.349 --> 00:20:20.470
from there, he was in cottage Grove and I met

351
00:20:20.509 --> 00:20:24.150
him there. So we were going to the lab up,

352
00:20:24.170 --> 00:20:26.490
you know, up through the top area.

353
00:20:27.099 --> 00:20:32.640
Okay, perfect. Thank you. So, so wow. Was it, what

354
00:20:32.680 --> 00:20:35.460
were the first things that started to happen? Was it,

355
00:20:35.950 --> 00:20:37.990
you had to go to owl moon lab and then

356
00:20:38.079 --> 00:20:39.920
you had weird stuff happen or.

357
00:20:39.940 --> 00:20:40.480
Yeah.

358
00:20:40.519 --> 00:20:41.259
Or was it? Yeah.

359
00:20:41.339 --> 00:20:44.420
Yeah. Okay. So the first time we got there, um,

360
00:20:45.039 --> 00:20:48.420
he was kind of taking me all over and apparently, uh, there,

361
00:20:48.519 --> 00:20:51.609
there's a lot up there that happens. And so we

362
00:20:51.640 --> 00:20:54.450
went down into his, uh, you know, the owl moon

363
00:20:54.509 --> 00:20:56.829
area and we walked down and I'm like freaking out

364
00:20:56.849 --> 00:21:02.250
cause there's tracks everywhere. I'm like, Holy crap. So I

365
00:21:02.289 --> 00:21:06.099
have a ton of pictures of, of tracks, some with toes,

366
00:21:06.180 --> 00:21:08.880
some of them, you can't see the toes. I have

367
00:21:08.940 --> 00:21:11.410
pictures with my hunting boot next to all of them.

368
00:21:11.430 --> 00:21:15.569
My hunting boot is 13 inches from heel to toe.

369
00:21:15.630 --> 00:21:18.789
And then sometimes I have like a dollar bill or

370
00:21:18.829 --> 00:21:21.289
a $ 5 bill, whatever piece of money I have in

371
00:21:21.309 --> 00:21:23.470
my wallet, I'll take pictures of it next to it

372
00:21:23.490 --> 00:21:28.849
for scale. It seems kind of weird to say this,

373
00:21:28.970 --> 00:21:31.970
but after a while you've seen so many tracks in there.

374
00:21:32.009 --> 00:21:35.769
It's just like, it's just another track, whatever. Um, and

375
00:21:35.809 --> 00:21:37.990
I would see tracks. I have pictures of tracks that

376
00:21:38.009 --> 00:21:40.630
are literally the size of my palm all the way

377
00:21:40.759 --> 00:21:44.259
up to, uh, I think my biggest cast is like

378
00:21:44.259 --> 00:21:47.839
16 and a half inches long and like across here

379
00:21:48.000 --> 00:21:52.119
from the toes, it's like six and a half inches wide. Um,

380
00:21:52.259 --> 00:21:55.160
and then on down from there, 12s and 14s and stuff. Um,

381
00:21:58.109 --> 00:22:01.029
People say, well, people got big feet, but it's not

382
00:22:01.089 --> 00:22:05.029
necessarily the length. It's the width and the depth into

383
00:22:05.049 --> 00:22:10.069
the ground that they are. I'm six foot two at

384
00:22:10.109 --> 00:22:14.410
that time. I was probably 270, 275 pounds. And I

385
00:22:14.450 --> 00:22:17.299
would jump and come down and stomp into the ground

386
00:22:17.359 --> 00:22:20.140
as hard as I could next to the tracks. I

387
00:22:20.180 --> 00:22:22.720
couldn't even make a dent compared to what they were.

388
00:22:23.519 --> 00:22:27.359
I cannot make a dent. That same trip, He took

389
00:22:27.390 --> 00:22:30.079
me to another area where some other guy had been.

390
00:22:32.019 --> 00:22:33.660
I can't remember what they call it. But anyway, they

391
00:22:33.700 --> 00:22:36.079
had he had a gifting log or whatever. And he

392
00:22:36.119 --> 00:22:38.819
put food out for him all the time. And it's

393
00:22:38.920 --> 00:22:41.859
pretty well known. I can't remember what his name was.

394
00:22:42.319 --> 00:22:47.359
I'm really bad. No, it wasn't. It was somebody else.

395
00:22:47.460 --> 00:22:49.099
It was before Tobe was up there.

396
00:22:50.119 --> 00:22:51.400
And I could be.

397
00:22:52.500 --> 00:22:56.579
That we were standing there and. All of a sudden,

398
00:22:56.599 --> 00:22:59.119
a rock comes flying through the air and lands, I

399
00:22:59.859 --> 00:23:02.839
don't know, maybe 10 feet from us. And I turned

400
00:23:02.880 --> 00:23:06.140
and I looked at Daryl, and I'm like, that was

401
00:23:06.200 --> 00:23:08.500
a wreck that got thrown at us. And then all

402
00:23:08.519 --> 00:23:10.359
of a sudden, you could hear out of the timber again,

403
00:23:10.420 --> 00:23:14.549
the t-t-t-t-t. And it comes flying and dropped in front

404
00:23:14.609 --> 00:23:18.250
of us again. And I look at Daryl, and he goes,

405
00:23:18.470 --> 00:23:21.069
let's run in there and check it out. And let

406
00:23:21.089 --> 00:23:25.670
me tell you something. Daryl is crazy. The dude is crazy.

407
00:23:26.240 --> 00:23:29.029
when it comes to that stuff, if there's, he's going

408
00:23:29.119 --> 00:23:33.589
in right now on it. And, you know, at that time, no,

409
00:23:34.269 --> 00:23:36.690
you know, I still don't know. So no, I'm not

410
00:23:36.730 --> 00:23:38.210
doing that. I looked at him. I'm like, there's no

411
00:23:38.289 --> 00:23:41.789
freaking way, Daryl. I'm not going in there. And, uh,

412
00:23:41.849 --> 00:23:43.880
we just stood there and watched for a while to

413
00:23:43.910 --> 00:23:46.119
see if anything, we could catch any motion or anything

414
00:23:46.160 --> 00:23:51.779
like that. And, um, Nothing. And so we headed out.

415
00:23:52.339 --> 00:23:58.059
But also, while we were there the first time, I

416
00:23:58.099 --> 00:24:00.359
found a hard-boiled egg laying right in the middle of

417
00:24:00.380 --> 00:24:04.279
the road. It was completely clean, not cracked, nothing. And

418
00:24:04.319 --> 00:24:05.900
so I was asking Darrell about it. He goes, yeah,

419
00:24:05.940 --> 00:24:10.240
I put hard-boiled eggs down in here. And they like

420
00:24:10.259 --> 00:24:12.299
the hard-boiled eggs. He said, but they have to have

421
00:24:12.339 --> 00:24:15.019
the shells on them. If they peel them, they won't

422
00:24:15.079 --> 00:24:18.420
touch them. But if they let pull, they'll take them.

423
00:24:19.640 --> 00:24:23.049
So that's kind of where things started. And from there,

424
00:24:25.109 --> 00:24:28.809
the place I was working at, we made airplane engine

425
00:24:28.849 --> 00:24:35.490
parts and that's when COVID hit and nobody was flying.

426
00:24:35.640 --> 00:24:38.579
So we were on a furlough for a month. So,

427
00:24:38.839 --> 00:24:41.839
or well, it ended up being a few months. So

428
00:24:41.880 --> 00:24:44.539
I was going back and forth with them probably once

429
00:24:44.599 --> 00:24:50.480
a week up there. And Um, it's, it's just really

430
00:24:50.519 --> 00:24:53.119
a weird area because it's like a finger going all

431
00:24:53.160 --> 00:24:55.920
the way down into the bottom and that whole ridge,

432
00:24:56.099 --> 00:24:59.200
as long as you're on that ridge, there is no noise.

433
00:24:59.279 --> 00:25:04.589
There's no birds, no squirrels, nothing. You hear nothing until

434
00:25:04.619 --> 00:25:07.230
you walk off, you get off that, that finger that

435
00:25:07.269 --> 00:25:09.069
goes down and go on to one of the others

436
00:25:09.589 --> 00:25:12.789
and it's business as usual. But that one finger going

437
00:25:12.849 --> 00:25:16.970
all the way down, never has anything going on. Um,

438
00:25:17.690 --> 00:25:20.190
So we started, well, I didn't start, he'd already been

439
00:25:20.250 --> 00:25:23.579
doing it, but I started doing some stuff too. Like

440
00:25:26.099 --> 00:25:30.680
I would put, we would make PP structures and the

441
00:25:30.720 --> 00:25:32.940
gaps would be maybe an inch apart with all these

442
00:25:33.000 --> 00:25:36.970
sticks all the way around. And inside of it, we

443
00:25:37.009 --> 00:25:39.609
would put like a peanut butter jar with a screw

444
00:25:39.710 --> 00:25:43.200
on lid. And we would put food in there, whether

445
00:25:43.220 --> 00:25:46.839
it be cookies and apple, granola bars, anything like that.

446
00:25:46.880 --> 00:25:49.299
We'd screw the lid back down, put it up, make

447
00:25:49.339 --> 00:25:51.700
sure the sticks are all the way around it. And

448
00:25:51.720 --> 00:25:54.380
we come back a week later, the stick structure would

449
00:25:54.440 --> 00:25:57.119
still be up, but the jar would be on the

450
00:25:57.180 --> 00:26:00.700
ground next to it, unscrewed, and the food would be gone.

451
00:26:01.339 --> 00:26:04.380
Can I say Bigfoot did it? No, because I didn't

452
00:26:04.420 --> 00:26:06.339
see him do it. But something had to do it

453
00:26:06.660 --> 00:26:09.900
that had opposable thumbs to be able to pull that

454
00:26:09.960 --> 00:26:12.400
thing or, you know, unscrew it. Cause if it had

455
00:26:12.440 --> 00:26:15.940
been in any other animal, it would knock down the

456
00:26:15.980 --> 00:26:19.579
teepee structure to get it. And the plastic on the,

457
00:26:20.109 --> 00:26:23.849
on the peanut butter jar would be chewed up and

458
00:26:23.869 --> 00:26:26.970
gone or, you know, chewed up teeth marks and stuff.

459
00:26:26.990 --> 00:26:29.769
And there was another, it was just, it was absolutely perfect.

460
00:26:29.789 --> 00:26:34.390
It was just laying on the ground empty. They loved

461
00:26:34.950 --> 00:26:37.890
peanut butter cookies. So we were always putting up peanut

462
00:26:37.930 --> 00:26:44.220
butter cookies. So I, I have a trail cam. The

463
00:26:44.259 --> 00:26:47.160
first time I had set it up down in there,

464
00:26:48.250 --> 00:26:53.650
so they make this camouflage clothing and it blocks because

465
00:26:53.950 --> 00:26:59.150
everybody puts off an electrical charge to them. And so

466
00:27:00.250 --> 00:27:02.210
this guy came up with this stuff. It's called hex

467
00:27:02.289 --> 00:27:06.319
gear and it hides that stuff. So I actually cut

468
00:27:06.380 --> 00:27:10.059
the sleeve of one of my shirts off wrapped my

469
00:27:10.099 --> 00:27:12.180
camera in it and then just cut out what I

470
00:27:12.240 --> 00:27:14.799
needed to for the camera to work. And I buried

471
00:27:14.839 --> 00:27:17.940
it in the ground. And just so that stuff was

472
00:27:17.980 --> 00:27:22.630
sticking out also. And I got pictures of something. It

473
00:27:22.640 --> 00:27:26.009
just kind of, you know, goes like this and whites

474
00:27:26.069 --> 00:27:28.509
it out where you can't see what it is. And

475
00:27:28.569 --> 00:27:32.130
then I show up and the cameras pulled out of

476
00:27:32.150 --> 00:27:36.730
the ground, turned upside down and put face down. Again,

477
00:27:36.819 --> 00:27:39.859
can I say Bigfoot did it? No, I don't know

478
00:27:39.900 --> 00:27:44.019
what did it, but something reached in the ground. So

479
00:27:44.079 --> 00:27:47.500
I changed it, put it in a stump, had the

480
00:27:47.539 --> 00:27:51.049
same thing. But before that, I had the camera set

481
00:27:51.430 --> 00:27:55.609
at a six picture burst with no delay. So if

482
00:27:55.690 --> 00:27:58.430
something was there, it's literally just going tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick.

483
00:27:58.529 --> 00:28:01.809
It'll never stop until that SD card fills up or

484
00:28:01.849 --> 00:28:06.089
my batteries die, one of the two. And So out

485
00:28:06.119 --> 00:28:08.549
in front of it, I had this brush and it was,

486
00:28:08.589 --> 00:28:10.089
you know, it was just a bunch of brush and

487
00:28:10.109 --> 00:28:13.670
a bunch of fingers through it. And so I stuck cookies,

488
00:28:13.750 --> 00:28:16.470
a whole bag of Nutter Butter cookies in that thing

489
00:28:17.829 --> 00:28:21.180
and went, checked it. All the Nutter Butter cookies are gone.

490
00:28:21.220 --> 00:28:25.339
I'm thinking, all right, that's cool. And checked my card

491
00:28:25.640 --> 00:28:28.690
and was looking at it. And You see the brush

492
00:28:28.750 --> 00:28:30.829
like this with all the cookies in it. Then the

493
00:28:30.869 --> 00:28:34.519
next picture, it's shifted sideways like this, still has the

494
00:28:34.539 --> 00:28:37.500
cookies and it comes right back and there's no cookies

495
00:28:37.579 --> 00:28:40.680
in it. And that's when the weird started happened to

496
00:28:40.700 --> 00:28:43.619
me all the time. It was after that. It was

497
00:28:43.759 --> 00:28:46.680
literally in the middle of reversed. So it was part

498
00:28:46.720 --> 00:28:49.740
of the first six pictures that were being taken. So

499
00:28:49.759 --> 00:28:52.839
it wasn't like, you know, being taken and then it

500
00:28:52.880 --> 00:28:54.980
stopped and took again. It was literally in the middle

501
00:28:55.039 --> 00:28:59.839
of a tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick, tick. I

502
00:28:59.880 --> 00:29:02.940
never got any pictures that any animals in there, no deer,

503
00:29:02.980 --> 00:29:07.259
no squirrels, nothing. If you got food out there, you know,

504
00:29:07.559 --> 00:29:10.569
bears are going to come in, all kinds of stuff's

505
00:29:10.589 --> 00:29:12.789
going to come in on it. But there was, there

506
00:29:12.829 --> 00:29:14.849
was literally nothing, nothing.

507
00:29:17.569 --> 00:29:20.329
You've seen the picture Daryl has of what looks like

508
00:29:20.369 --> 00:29:21.089
an alien, right?

509
00:29:21.650 --> 00:29:25.380
Oh yeah. Yeah. That happened when I was still thinking of, Uh,

510
00:29:25.480 --> 00:29:28.619
I never did that. Oh, wow. I wasn't there. I

511
00:29:29.440 --> 00:29:32.880
was still hanging out there with him, but that particular

512
00:29:32.920 --> 00:29:36.910
day I was not there with him. Okay. Wouldn't that happen?

513
00:29:37.470 --> 00:29:37.849
That's wild.

514
00:29:37.869 --> 00:29:42.519
That's wild. So, and then, uh, in April of 2020

515
00:29:42.519 --> 00:29:48.680
while I was on furlough we we went out there

516
00:29:48.700 --> 00:29:52.529
it was a clear night full moon no rain so

517
00:29:52.609 --> 00:29:55.349
I called up Daryl like dude let's let's go sit

518
00:29:55.410 --> 00:29:59.829
up there and and see what we you know, come across.

519
00:30:00.630 --> 00:30:03.769
So it was all right. So I met him there

520
00:30:05.380 --> 00:30:07.779
and we went up, we took some chairs with us

521
00:30:07.859 --> 00:30:10.279
and stuff. So we, we walked down into the area

522
00:30:10.299 --> 00:30:15.339
and we're walking down through there. And I found this

523
00:30:15.480 --> 00:30:19.339
big woven branch, whole bunch of branches all woven together.

524
00:30:19.359 --> 00:30:22.109
And I'm like, Daryl, check this out. So he comes

525
00:30:22.190 --> 00:30:24.789
over there and on his way over, he goes, look,

526
00:30:24.890 --> 00:30:27.880
Mark corpse right there. And I turned around and, but

527
00:30:27.960 --> 00:30:29.869
I didn't turn around to see him. He said, there's

528
00:30:29.900 --> 00:30:34.589
two white orbs going down towards the bottom. And he

529
00:30:34.609 --> 00:30:37.009
looks at me, he goes, dude, when this happens, bad

530
00:30:37.089 --> 00:30:39.890
stuff happens here. He says, stuff is going to happen tonight.

531
00:30:40.650 --> 00:30:42.500
And you could look in his face and tell he

532
00:30:42.539 --> 00:30:48.240
was freaked out. And like his arms were just covered

533
00:30:48.460 --> 00:30:53.440
in goosebumps and hair standing up on end. And So

534
00:30:53.480 --> 00:30:55.880
I'm like, okay, here we go. And I said, well,

535
00:30:55.900 --> 00:30:58.859
I said, why don't we go grab our chairs, come

536
00:30:58.900 --> 00:31:01.119
back down like a little bit of the way and we'll,

537
00:31:01.740 --> 00:31:04.440
we'll sit down. And, and it was starting to get

538
00:31:04.500 --> 00:31:09.369
dark by then. And so we got the chairs, got

539
00:31:09.380 --> 00:31:13.130
them out, sat down and I had night vision with me,

540
00:31:13.170 --> 00:31:15.990
but it was an older set. It's like a gen one.

541
00:31:16.990 --> 00:31:19.549
And so we're sitting there and Daryl's hearing stuff down

542
00:31:19.609 --> 00:31:21.829
in the bottom and I couldn't hear it because I've

543
00:31:21.910 --> 00:31:26.200
worked around machinery my whole life. So I have hearing

544
00:31:26.279 --> 00:31:29.680
loss in my ears. And so there are certain tones

545
00:31:29.720 --> 00:31:33.059
that I can't hear that I couldn't hear. And then

546
00:31:33.099 --> 00:31:36.950
it started getting a little closer. And I finally heard something.

547
00:31:36.970 --> 00:31:38.750
I told Daryl, yeah, I can hear that, you know,

548
00:31:38.789 --> 00:31:43.299
and we're sitting there and it just gets quiet and nothing,

549
00:31:43.339 --> 00:31:46.099
he's not, or it's not moving or nothing is moving

550
00:31:46.160 --> 00:31:50.440
at that point. And out in front of me pops

551
00:31:50.519 --> 00:31:53.339
up a red orb. And I told Daryl, look right there,

552
00:31:53.380 --> 00:32:00.049
there's an orb. And he looks up, same thing. We're like, wow,

553
00:32:00.069 --> 00:32:02.329
you know, kind of freaking out a little bit. And

554
00:32:03.190 --> 00:32:05.349
I sit back and I'm just kind of relaxing for

555
00:32:05.369 --> 00:32:08.109
a second. I'm like, dude, some don't feel right. And

556
00:32:08.130 --> 00:32:11.660
then all of a sudden, my arms started getting covered

557
00:32:11.700 --> 00:32:14.359
in goosebumps and hair standing up. And I told Daryl,

558
00:32:14.500 --> 00:32:16.099
I just kind of whispered over to him because we

559
00:32:16.119 --> 00:32:18.990
were trying to be quiet. I'm like, something's not right, man.

560
00:32:19.569 --> 00:32:25.490
And I throw up my monocular and out steps one. Oh,

561
00:32:25.529 --> 00:32:28.250
he's maybe 20 yards from us, but comes out from

562
00:32:28.289 --> 00:32:31.029
behind one tree, walks across the trail and goes back

563
00:32:31.089 --> 00:32:35.640
behind some other trees going down the trail. Yeah. Yeah.

564
00:32:36.519 --> 00:32:38.980
And I'm like, holy crap. And it scared me because

565
00:32:39.000 --> 00:32:41.339
I just wasn't expecting it. I mean, I guess you

566
00:32:41.380 --> 00:32:45.000
never really are. But I went kind of running backwards

567
00:32:45.059 --> 00:32:48.349
in my chair trying to get out. And we got

568
00:32:48.400 --> 00:32:51.589
up the hill, got out of there. I'm talking to Tara.

569
00:32:51.630 --> 00:32:55.130
I'm like, holy, you know, whenever I'm in the woods,

570
00:32:55.150 --> 00:32:58.289
I always have a gun on me. And I'm not

571
00:32:58.329 --> 00:33:01.170
worried about Bigfoot, to be honest. It's the other stuff,

572
00:33:01.190 --> 00:33:05.630
the cougars up there. Uh, there's a lot of meth

573
00:33:06.029 --> 00:33:09.609
and a lot of meth heads, you know, a little mobile, um,

574
00:33:10.009 --> 00:33:12.250
labs and stuff. So I always have a gun on

575
00:33:12.289 --> 00:33:15.660
me when I'm in the woods and it's a 44 mag.

576
00:33:15.700 --> 00:33:19.119
And I told Terrell, I said, this thing's something happened.

577
00:33:19.140 --> 00:33:22.440
This has been taken up. It's not gonna, not gonna

578
00:33:22.480 --> 00:33:25.539
do any good. So he goes, well, we'll go back

579
00:33:25.599 --> 00:33:27.420
and get the territory. I'll go back in the morning.

580
00:33:27.440 --> 00:33:28.609
I said, well, why don't you wait for me to

581
00:33:28.650 --> 00:33:30.670
come up and I'll go with you. And he ended

582
00:33:30.730 --> 00:33:34.049
up going up and, and, um, the next day and

583
00:33:34.089 --> 00:33:36.690
getting it, it was like two days later, I went

584
00:33:36.730 --> 00:33:40.509
with them up there. And so we checked where it

585
00:33:40.549 --> 00:33:42.950
had walked through and where the trail that it was

586
00:33:43.190 --> 00:33:46.339
on went to this gifting stump that we always used.

587
00:33:46.400 --> 00:33:50.240
We always, always, always put a ton of cookies on there.

588
00:33:50.809 --> 00:33:53.509
We would lift up this, there was a huge rock

589
00:33:53.549 --> 00:33:55.890
that we put on there. We would lift it up

590
00:33:56.230 --> 00:33:59.269
and put a bunch of cookies underneath it and then

591
00:34:00.210 --> 00:34:03.980
put the rock back down and squirrels and stuff like

592
00:34:04.000 --> 00:34:06.259
that aren't gonna be able to move it. And we

593
00:34:06.279 --> 00:34:08.679
would come back and we'd lift the rock up, all

594
00:34:08.719 --> 00:34:11.260
the cookies would be gone, but the rock could still

595
00:34:11.300 --> 00:34:15.320
be there. So we were figuring he was just grabbing

596
00:34:15.340 --> 00:34:17.940
the rock, picking it up, pulling it out the cookies

597
00:34:18.019 --> 00:34:20.909
and then laying it back down. Can we say he

598
00:34:20.949 --> 00:34:24.389
did it? No, we didn't physically ever see him do it.

599
00:34:24.510 --> 00:34:29.780
But so anyway, so in my backpack that I always

600
00:34:29.800 --> 00:34:33.079
had with me, I had a tape measure and where

601
00:34:33.159 --> 00:34:37.110
the trail that he was walking and the tree that

602
00:34:37.159 --> 00:34:41.650
he was by, we measured and he was about nine

603
00:34:41.730 --> 00:34:48.070
foot tall. So I could see him from about, Mid-thigh,

604
00:34:48.110 --> 00:34:54.280
maybe just a little bit below mid-thigh, walking across when

605
00:34:54.320 --> 00:34:58.360
he went in front of us. His chest, I couldn't

606
00:34:58.380 --> 00:35:01.230
see anything on his face because, like I said, he

607
00:35:01.289 --> 00:35:05.610
turned sideways and he just walked through. But his chest,

608
00:35:05.730 --> 00:35:12.539
he was every bit of two-foot-tall. you know, maybe 28 inches,

609
00:35:12.559 --> 00:35:15.780
something like that. I deal with measurements all the time.

610
00:35:15.820 --> 00:35:18.320
So I just kind of can ballpark pretty dang close,

611
00:35:18.380 --> 00:35:21.559
but he was every bit of two foot, probably pushing

612
00:35:21.559 --> 00:35:26.000
28 inches thick from, um, from chest to back. Um,

613
00:35:26.780 --> 00:35:29.000
it was just massive, absolutely massive.

614
00:35:30.019 --> 00:35:34.659
Um, was it, so I guess in this, this scenario,

615
00:35:34.679 --> 00:35:38.219
you would have had a much more view than you

616
00:35:38.239 --> 00:35:42.090
did over in Eastern Oregon. Because you saw it actually

617
00:35:42.190 --> 00:35:46.090
walking over. So it was walking over where you saw

618
00:35:46.150 --> 00:35:47.090
the red orb then?

619
00:35:48.409 --> 00:35:51.909
Yes. The red orbs were out in front of me.

620
00:35:52.449 --> 00:35:54.869
And then the tree was just kind of off to

621
00:35:54.889 --> 00:35:58.429
the side just a little tiny bit. And it stepped

622
00:35:58.510 --> 00:36:03.090
out from there. And I saw it for about maybe

623
00:36:03.090 --> 00:36:06.400
10 yards of walking. So I actually saw that one

624
00:36:06.940 --> 00:36:10.679
for less time than what I saw the first one.

625
00:36:11.000 --> 00:36:12.769
this is the first one, like I said, he stuck

626
00:36:12.809 --> 00:36:15.349
his head out and he stared. This one just was

627
00:36:15.530 --> 00:36:19.010
walking past. So whatever, whatever it took him to walk

628
00:36:19.010 --> 00:36:23.800
10 yards, which was just a few steps. Um, we,

629
00:36:24.079 --> 00:36:26.460
that we, we ended up there with kind of a

630
00:36:26.559 --> 00:36:29.960
family down in there. Cause we could tell where, again,

631
00:36:30.000 --> 00:36:34.329
we're guessing by the size of tracks and stuff. Um,

632
00:36:35.530 --> 00:36:38.429
That one we called, we figured was like the alpha male.

633
00:36:39.329 --> 00:36:41.610
I've got casts of his tracks and then I've got

634
00:36:41.650 --> 00:36:45.150
like measurements where I would measure from heel to heel

635
00:36:45.289 --> 00:36:49.030
of him taking a step. And it was at 64 inches.

636
00:36:49.809 --> 00:36:52.909
So he's, you know. Oh, man. It's big.

637
00:36:53.570 --> 00:36:54.690
More than five feet?

638
00:36:54.909 --> 00:36:56.190
Wow. Yeah. Yeah.

639
00:36:56.289 --> 00:37:01.030
Okay. Oh, man. How big were the orbs that you

640
00:37:01.070 --> 00:37:03.880
were seeing down there? You mentioned white and this red one.

641
00:37:04.590 --> 00:37:07.920
So I didn't see the one that Daryl saw. I

642
00:37:07.940 --> 00:37:11.079
didn't see those two. But the red one, it looked,

643
00:37:11.099 --> 00:37:17.480
because it's really weird because it was, they're bright, but

644
00:37:17.539 --> 00:37:21.050
it's almost like a glow stick. You know, they're putting

645
00:37:21.110 --> 00:37:24.789
off light, but they're not, it wasn't lighting stuff up.

646
00:37:26.769 --> 00:37:30.889
And I would guess size-wise, a little bit bigger than

647
00:37:31.789 --> 00:37:35.300
a softball. but it wasn't as big as like a basketball.

648
00:37:35.599 --> 00:37:37.800
So it was kind of in, in that range, but

649
00:37:37.880 --> 00:37:41.579
closer to the softball size. Cause it was kind of

650
00:37:41.619 --> 00:37:44.110
hard to judge too. Cause it's, you know, it's dark

651
00:37:44.159 --> 00:37:46.119
and you see this in there, but you can't really

652
00:37:46.239 --> 00:37:51.269
see exactly where, you know, the distance cause it's dark.

653
00:37:51.329 --> 00:37:53.050
I mean, we're in the timber, you know?

654
00:37:54.929 --> 00:37:58.349
Absolutely. Was that the one time that you had been

655
00:37:58.429 --> 00:38:01.909
able to have a visual of a Bigfoot in that area?

656
00:38:02.949 --> 00:38:06.469
That was the first. Yes. Well, that was my, that

657
00:38:06.510 --> 00:38:10.960
was my only, uh, visual, but Daryl's had several visuals

658
00:38:11.219 --> 00:38:12.039
in that area.

659
00:38:13.340 --> 00:38:18.579
Absolutely. You mentioned that, um, when you had done things

660
00:38:18.599 --> 00:38:22.730
with the camera, then there were weird things that started

661
00:38:22.769 --> 00:38:26.329
to happen afterwards. Were there any other weird things that

662
00:38:26.369 --> 00:38:28.150
happened in that area that you would want to share? Uh,

663
00:38:31.920 --> 00:38:32.659
Or how about this?

664
00:38:32.679 --> 00:38:35.099
Well, I was going to tell you afterwards.

665
00:38:36.219 --> 00:38:37.019
It's up to you.

666
00:38:37.260 --> 00:38:39.599
I was going to tell you afterwards.

667
00:38:39.699 --> 00:38:40.460
It's up to you.

668
00:38:40.780 --> 00:38:41.929
No, I'll tell you.

669
00:38:41.949 --> 00:38:43.179
Okay.

670
00:38:44.210 --> 00:38:50.050
So, you know, I found some juvenile tracks that were

671
00:38:50.889 --> 00:38:56.250
maybe five inches long, six inches long at the most.

672
00:38:57.590 --> 00:39:01.429
And it was right at the edge of a cliff,

673
00:39:01.590 --> 00:39:04.449
or not really a cliff, but a steep embankment going down.

674
00:39:04.829 --> 00:39:07.489
And there was a creek down there. And I stepped

675
00:39:07.590 --> 00:39:10.110
up to the edge of it. And I'm looking over

676
00:39:10.150 --> 00:39:12.280
the edge thinking, okay, I want to get down there

677
00:39:12.300 --> 00:39:13.699
and look at the creek and see if I can

678
00:39:13.739 --> 00:39:17.980
see some new fresh tracks and, you know, bigger tracks

679
00:39:18.059 --> 00:39:21.420
and stuff in there, see what's in there. And this

680
00:39:21.500 --> 00:39:23.219
is some of the strange crap that I would have.

681
00:39:23.320 --> 00:39:27.269
I leaned over and I'm looking. uh, for a way down.

682
00:39:27.800 --> 00:39:32.420
And in my head, I heard, no, you're not. And

683
00:39:32.480 --> 00:39:38.539
I'm just like, okay, I'm not. And I backed off. Um,

684
00:39:39.760 --> 00:39:43.969
it wasn't me. And I don't know how to explain it,

685
00:39:44.059 --> 00:39:46.699
but it wasn't me. And I backed off and I

686
00:39:46.739 --> 00:39:51.119
told Daryl about it. And, uh, He's had, I don't

687
00:39:51.139 --> 00:39:53.400
know if he's had it, but there's, he's heard of

688
00:39:53.480 --> 00:39:57.809
people having it around that area too. The mind speak. And, um,

689
00:39:58.929 --> 00:40:03.949
I just, that kind of tripped me out. Um, and

690
00:40:04.010 --> 00:40:08.929
that's not the only thing I've had happen. So since

691
00:40:09.190 --> 00:40:13.010
I'm going to spill the beans on, on some stuff, um,

692
00:40:13.889 --> 00:40:16.929
even when that, my first thing that happened to me,

693
00:40:16.969 --> 00:40:21.980
walk up behind me in Eastern Oregon. I had, I

694
00:40:22.019 --> 00:40:26.510
had heard the episode on Sasquatch Chronicles where Les Stroud

695
00:40:26.550 --> 00:40:30.150
was there and he was having the mind speak and,

696
00:40:30.889 --> 00:40:32.889
and kind of as he was talking, he's like, you know,

697
00:40:33.130 --> 00:40:35.829
are you going to call me a liar? You weren't there.

698
00:40:35.889 --> 00:40:37.789
You don't know. And, and I, so I just kind

699
00:40:37.829 --> 00:40:40.570
of had, I always had that kind of thing. Like

700
00:40:40.590 --> 00:40:42.679
when people, when I started going down the big foot

701
00:40:42.900 --> 00:40:45.409
rabbit hole and people would tell me stuff and, A

702
00:40:45.409 --> 00:40:47.489
lot of times I think, man, that's really out there.

703
00:40:47.530 --> 00:40:50.260
And then I kind of would think what he said was,

704
00:40:50.539 --> 00:40:52.480
you know, you're going to call him a liar. You

705
00:40:52.500 --> 00:40:58.239
weren't there. And anyway, that night I was sitting there

706
00:40:58.360 --> 00:41:00.579
and in my head while I was behind that tree,

707
00:41:01.719 --> 00:41:05.269
I just put it out there. If there's anybody here,

708
00:41:05.829 --> 00:41:07.610
let me know. If you guys are out here, let

709
00:41:07.650 --> 00:41:13.289
me know. Give me a sign. And that was the sign. Coincidence? Yeah, maybe.

710
00:41:13.309 --> 00:41:14.349
Or was it.

711
00:41:15.530 --> 00:41:17.989
So that was in Eastern Oregon or Cottage Grove?

712
00:41:18.590 --> 00:41:21.030
That was Eastern Oregon. That was when I had my

713
00:41:21.070 --> 00:41:23.429
very first, when I had the night of the tree knock,

714
00:41:23.650 --> 00:41:26.449
the night of the tree knock.

715
00:41:27.070 --> 00:41:31.670
That really, that changes a lot because it's not just,

716
00:41:32.010 --> 00:41:33.889
it's not just that you had a sighting. It's that

717
00:41:34.170 --> 00:41:38.510
you did a, almost a mentally reach out where you're like, Hey,

718
00:41:38.670 --> 00:41:42.349
if something's here, then I am inviting it in and

719
00:41:42.869 --> 00:41:45.300
show me. And man, They showed you, dude.

720
00:41:45.639 --> 00:41:49.599
Wow. Yeah. So the following year, I went back there

721
00:41:49.639 --> 00:41:52.820
to Eastern Oregon hunting with my buddy Tom again. My

722
00:41:52.880 --> 00:41:55.980
dad was with me and another buddy of ours, Kerry.

723
00:41:56.659 --> 00:41:58.360
And this was another thing I was going to tell

724
00:41:58.400 --> 00:42:01.119
you after the show. But like I said, I'm just

725
00:42:01.139 --> 00:42:03.809
going to spill the beans on some of this stuff

726
00:42:03.829 --> 00:42:07.570
because I haven't told anybody this on any other interviews

727
00:42:07.610 --> 00:42:11.010
that I've done other than one guy. But he's kind

728
00:42:11.050 --> 00:42:15.119
of a friend, become a friend. So. Um, again, I

729
00:42:15.179 --> 00:42:18.550
was listening to the same show and just that episode

730
00:42:18.590 --> 00:42:22.829
had to do with the, um, Sierra sounds. And in

731
00:42:22.869 --> 00:42:24.989
my head, I just put it out there, you know,

732
00:42:25.110 --> 00:42:27.130
I'm laying out in the open. I just, the only,

733
00:42:27.309 --> 00:42:29.130
I just had my cot laying out and I had

734
00:42:29.170 --> 00:42:31.969
a tarp tied to the trees between me just to

735
00:42:32.010 --> 00:42:35.199
keep the pine needles from landing on me and keep

736
00:42:35.219 --> 00:42:37.179
them out of my sleeping bag and stuff like that.

737
00:42:38.219 --> 00:42:41.699
And I'm laying there and I said, Hey, this is, uh, me.

738
00:42:42.659 --> 00:42:45.750
I was there. I was here last year. You're the

739
00:42:45.829 --> 00:42:49.130
one that showed me, you know, showed yourself to me

740
00:42:49.210 --> 00:42:51.070
and stuff. If you're here, if you'd let me know,

741
00:42:51.090 --> 00:42:54.570
I'd like to know. And I just put that out

742
00:42:54.610 --> 00:42:58.989
there again. And the next thing I know, I feel

743
00:42:59.030 --> 00:43:03.340
this massive hand just absolutely lay and engulf my head

744
00:43:03.420 --> 00:43:05.380
from the back of my head that I was laying

745
00:43:05.420 --> 00:43:07.159
on my side from the back of my head all

746
00:43:07.199 --> 00:43:10.179
the way around to like my nose. I felt the

747
00:43:10.219 --> 00:43:14.300
hand touch me and It was plain as day. I

748
00:43:14.460 --> 00:43:18.039
felt it touching me. It wasn't imagination, nothing. I could

749
00:43:18.119 --> 00:43:21.139
feel it touch me and it was gone and it

750
00:43:21.179 --> 00:43:26.219
was nothing there. I never heard anything, nothing. I never

751
00:43:26.260 --> 00:43:30.809
heard anything walk off, come in, go out, nothing. So

752
00:43:32.070 --> 00:43:36.210
like I said, I, that happened after that was, you know,

753
00:43:36.329 --> 00:43:40.309
after I was thinking, Oh, it's an animal. And then

754
00:43:40.730 --> 00:43:44.079
started having that stuff. uh, with Daryl. And then that's

755
00:43:44.099 --> 00:43:47.449
when I started kind of shifting over to the other side.

756
00:43:48.349 --> 00:43:52.190
Absolutely. Um, I, I want to ask a few questions

757
00:43:52.210 --> 00:43:56.809
because that is absolutely fascinating. Um, are you saying then

758
00:43:56.949 --> 00:44:03.090
that cause, um, were you on the inside, inside a

759
00:44:03.150 --> 00:44:05.829
tent and it reached through like up against the tent

760
00:44:05.949 --> 00:44:08.519
or you could feel like it was up against your face,

761
00:44:08.539 --> 00:44:09.260
but there's nothing there.

762
00:44:09.980 --> 00:44:11.880
It was on my face. I was not in a tent.

763
00:44:11.960 --> 00:44:17.179
I literally just had my my cot laying out out

764
00:44:17.199 --> 00:44:20.949
in the open. When we hunt East Oregon, 90 percent

765
00:44:20.969 --> 00:44:23.550
of the time, a lot of it were off our back.

766
00:44:23.590 --> 00:44:26.989
So wherever we stopped that night when I was younger,

767
00:44:27.030 --> 00:44:29.510
it was that way. Whenever we stopped, we threw our

768
00:44:29.530 --> 00:44:31.449
sleeping bag out on the ground. That's where we were.

769
00:44:31.869 --> 00:44:34.550
Just this place. We had a camp, but I wasn't

770
00:44:34.610 --> 00:44:36.610
in a tent or anything. I literally just had my

771
00:44:36.969 --> 00:44:39.429
cot out in the open and I just had a

772
00:44:39.469 --> 00:44:41.769
tarp tied up in the trees above me just to

773
00:44:41.829 --> 00:44:44.880
keep the pine needles off me, keep them out of

774
00:44:44.909 --> 00:44:47.260
my sleeping bag and stuff like that. Other than that,

775
00:44:47.340 --> 00:44:48.119
I was in the open.

776
00:44:48.780 --> 00:44:55.119
Okay. What was your immediate emotional response to that happening

777
00:44:55.159 --> 00:44:58.000
where it is on the side of your face like that?

778
00:44:58.039 --> 00:44:59.780
That's got to be just wild.

779
00:45:00.429 --> 00:45:02.389
I just said, thank you. And that's all I did.

780
00:45:03.170 --> 00:45:05.389
And just had my mind blown.

781
00:45:08.050 --> 00:45:11.449
Wow. That is so, that is so wild. So I,

782
00:45:11.469 --> 00:45:14.690
you know, if I was to hear that account from

783
00:45:14.690 --> 00:45:18.949
99% other people, you know, that response would be like

784
00:45:19.090 --> 00:45:22.130
one of horror or, or, Oh, what's happening to me.

785
00:45:22.210 --> 00:45:25.889
But it's just, thank you. That's, that's amazing, Mark.

786
00:45:26.469 --> 00:45:28.909
Wow. Well, it's, it's one of those, I'd had so

787
00:45:28.949 --> 00:45:34.190
much stuff with Daryl, I can't even recall everything that's

788
00:45:34.230 --> 00:45:36.949
happened with me and him down in there just because

789
00:45:37.710 --> 00:45:40.530
it was all the time. It was all the time.

790
00:45:42.309 --> 00:45:45.809
I couldn't tell you how many tree knocks. Like I said,

791
00:45:45.929 --> 00:45:48.639
it got to the point with tracks. It's just a

792
00:45:48.679 --> 00:45:52.039
set of tracks. Who cares? The only thing I'll have

793
00:45:52.079 --> 00:45:56.659
to say with tracks, though, you would literally follow a

794
00:45:56.880 --> 00:46:01.199
set of tracks. There'd be, I don't know, 20 to

795
00:46:01.199 --> 00:46:04.980
30 steps. And then all of a sudden there'd be

796
00:46:05.420 --> 00:46:08.829
no more tracks and no place for it to go.

797
00:46:08.889 --> 00:46:12.289
There's no trees there, nothing for it to grab ahold

798
00:46:12.369 --> 00:46:14.809
of and climb and get out of. We would see

799
00:46:14.849 --> 00:46:17.849
stuff like that all the time. And it's not that the,

800
00:46:18.050 --> 00:46:21.400
the substrate that they were walking on changed. Everything was

801
00:46:21.440 --> 00:46:26.440
the same. It would just be gone. It would absolutely

802
00:46:26.480 --> 00:46:31.150
be gone. Um, So the track thing, that kind of

803
00:46:31.230 --> 00:46:34.070
always was the one thing that would blow my mind

804
00:46:34.150 --> 00:46:37.449
about seeing tracks is just, you know, I'd always go

805
00:46:37.489 --> 00:46:39.389
and look and see how far they would go before

806
00:46:39.409 --> 00:46:44.929
they would disappear. But they always disappeared. I never went

807
00:46:44.969 --> 00:46:48.090
very far, never more than like 20, 30 steps, and

808
00:46:48.110 --> 00:46:51.159
then they would be gone. So even like when we

809
00:46:51.380 --> 00:46:55.139
would pull up there, because we always drove Daryl's truck,

810
00:46:55.159 --> 00:46:59.599
and I kind of have a thing I thought, Um,

811
00:47:00.159 --> 00:47:02.300
just like my dogs, when they come home from work,

812
00:47:02.360 --> 00:47:04.960
they know the sound of my vehicle. I pull up,

813
00:47:05.019 --> 00:47:08.280
they're bouncing around all excited and stuff like that. Every

814
00:47:08.320 --> 00:47:10.780
time Daryl and I went up there or Daryl would

815
00:47:10.820 --> 00:47:13.829
go without me, he took food up there and put

816
00:47:13.889 --> 00:47:18.230
food out for him. It was always the same thing again. Um, cookies,

817
00:47:18.710 --> 00:47:23.909
hard boiled eggs, peanut butter, um, peanut butter cookies. We

818
00:47:23.989 --> 00:47:28.380
always put food out every single time. Um, And so

819
00:47:28.559 --> 00:47:31.239
I think they recognized the sound of his truck because

820
00:47:31.280 --> 00:47:33.849
we would always, again, park in the same area. And

821
00:47:33.889 --> 00:47:36.530
we would literally get out of the truck, walk to

822
00:47:36.550 --> 00:47:39.369
the edge of the hill before we'd go over the

823
00:47:39.389 --> 00:47:43.710
side down in there. And we'd hear the whoop, whoop.

824
00:47:44.150 --> 00:47:46.730
And I'd turn around and look at there and I'd go, yeah,

825
00:47:46.889 --> 00:47:50.210
they know we're here. You know, they knew they were

826
00:47:50.250 --> 00:47:53.440
there or we were there. So they knew food was coming.

827
00:47:53.820 --> 00:47:58.119
And I think that's why... That night that we were

828
00:47:58.159 --> 00:48:02.590
sitting there on the hillside that I had my second

829
00:48:02.630 --> 00:48:07.269
encounter or sighting, because the trail he was on went

830
00:48:07.329 --> 00:48:10.210
right to the gifting stump. So we think he just

831
00:48:10.269 --> 00:48:12.570
came up out of the bottom, knew we had left food,

832
00:48:12.710 --> 00:48:16.070
and was going to the food. We would set up

833
00:48:16.159 --> 00:48:19.059
other food traps trying to catch stuff. We would stick...

834
00:48:19.739 --> 00:48:23.570
um double stick tape and like loop it around branches

835
00:48:23.630 --> 00:48:24.989
and then in the middle of it we would put

836
00:48:25.010 --> 00:48:28.889
a hard-boiled egg and some bats hard-boiled egg would be

837
00:48:28.929 --> 00:48:31.800
gone tape would still be there and there'd be fingerprints

838
00:48:31.880 --> 00:48:35.380
in it and stuff but you know we never did

839
00:48:35.440 --> 00:48:38.380
anything with the the you know other than looking at

840
00:48:38.400 --> 00:48:40.909
it take pictures of it oh that's pretty cool but

841
00:48:41.710 --> 00:48:44.829
you know We never did anything with it. It's not

842
00:48:44.849 --> 00:48:47.210
like we didn't send it in or anything. I know

843
00:48:47.269 --> 00:48:49.469
he did with some hair and stuff. Him and Toad did.

844
00:48:50.070 --> 00:48:54.239
But as far as me and Daryl, we never sent

845
00:48:54.300 --> 00:48:54.860
anything in.

846
00:48:57.079 --> 00:49:02.800
So what was your normal reaction? Let's say if you're

847
00:49:02.880 --> 00:49:05.760
in the Owl Moon Lab area with Daryl. How are

848
00:49:05.800 --> 00:49:10.760
you normally reacting to all these strange things and sightings

849
00:49:10.860 --> 00:49:13.500
and orbs that were going on around you?

850
00:49:14.949 --> 00:49:19.260
Um at first it really freaked me out um but

851
00:49:19.300 --> 00:49:22.360
then like i said things started happening so much and

852
00:49:22.400 --> 00:49:26.460
so often the more you saw the more you were

853
00:49:26.500 --> 00:49:29.239
around you just kind of get used to it i

854
00:49:29.280 --> 00:49:31.960
mean it still would you know make your arm hair

855
00:49:32.039 --> 00:49:34.360
stand on end and stuff when the crazy stuff would

856
00:49:34.400 --> 00:49:40.139
start happening but um it wouldn't like absolutely freak me

857
00:49:40.480 --> 00:49:45.659
out over it. Not like it did at the beginning. Hmm.

858
00:49:47.969 --> 00:49:52.369
It's, it's such an interesting area. One I've never been to,

859
00:49:52.570 --> 00:49:55.530
I've been to Oak Ridge a ton and it's, you know,

860
00:49:56.190 --> 00:49:59.190
it's just a different way to get there from Eugene.

861
00:49:59.210 --> 00:50:02.000
You take 50, like Oak Ridge, you're going to 58

862
00:50:02.000 --> 00:50:06.679
instead of, uh, was it like I-5 down to Cottage Grove,

863
00:50:06.880 --> 00:50:07.380
something like that?

864
00:50:08.099 --> 00:50:10.789
Yeah. Yeah, I have a friend that hunts up there

865
00:50:10.829 --> 00:50:14.889
in Oak Ridge, and I used to shoot archery competitive,

866
00:50:14.969 --> 00:50:17.280
and so I'd travel all over. And he was one

867
00:50:17.300 --> 00:50:20.639
of my buddies, and I didn't know at the time, but,

868
00:50:20.699 --> 00:50:23.619
you know, as I started traveling with him and stuff,

869
00:50:23.659 --> 00:50:26.880
he kind of slipped out and let me know that

870
00:50:29.119 --> 00:50:32.840
he had had a bunch of encounters up at Oak Ridge.

871
00:50:33.639 --> 00:50:38.449
He would find the tree breaks, tracks, he'd smell them.

872
00:50:38.989 --> 00:50:41.210
He had a log thrown at his truck, hit the

873
00:50:41.230 --> 00:50:44.909
bed of his truck. He's had all kinds of stuff

874
00:50:44.949 --> 00:50:49.139
happen up there. So to him and his other hunting

875
00:50:49.199 --> 00:50:51.940
buddy and his son. Oh, wow.

876
00:50:52.000 --> 00:50:54.639
That's wild. Just off to the side, if you ever

877
00:50:55.360 --> 00:50:56.960
would be open to talk to someone, I'd love to

878
00:50:57.000 --> 00:51:04.340
talk to them. So something I hear about that Cottage

879
00:51:04.400 --> 00:51:13.820
Grove area is, you always, it seems, uh, were you ever, uh, uh,

880
00:51:13.880 --> 00:51:17.639
were you ever nervous about the hitchhiker effect or things

881
00:51:17.719 --> 00:51:20.320
falling you home, uh, from that?

882
00:51:20.579 --> 00:51:28.980
Um, so here's another kind of weird thing. Um, you know,

883
00:51:29.039 --> 00:51:32.800
I was right at the end, I was getting divorced and, um,

884
00:51:34.239 --> 00:51:37.360
was talking to somebody else on the phone, uh, my

885
00:51:37.409 --> 00:51:41.280
now girlfriend, but, I had moved out and was living

886
00:51:41.300 --> 00:51:44.300
with somebody, you know, living with a relative while I

887
00:51:44.360 --> 00:51:46.860
decided what I was going to do. Because I knew

888
00:51:46.889 --> 00:51:49.369
I didn't want to stay in Oregon anymore. I was

889
00:51:49.409 --> 00:51:53.130
kind of tired of Oregon. And when I get on

890
00:51:53.170 --> 00:52:00.050
the phone with her, something would, if I made like

891
00:52:00.090 --> 00:52:03.230
a noise, like I would, I sometimes I'll snap my

892
00:52:03.300 --> 00:52:06.820
fingers like that. And then I would stop. And then

893
00:52:06.880 --> 00:52:10.719
in the phone, she would hear something else. duplicate me,

894
00:52:11.179 --> 00:52:13.659
whatever I would do. If I made like a popping

895
00:52:13.739 --> 00:52:18.840
sound with my noise, my mouth, a few minutes later,

896
00:52:18.900 --> 00:52:21.199
she'd hear the same thing come over the phone. After that,

897
00:52:21.260 --> 00:52:24.480
I'd already been talking to her. And then while I

898
00:52:24.500 --> 00:52:27.139
was sitting in, I was living with my aunt at

899
00:52:27.179 --> 00:52:30.159
the time, and I was sitting in my bedroom in

900
00:52:30.199 --> 00:52:33.260
there one night on the phone and had an orb

901
00:52:34.239 --> 00:52:38.750
come out of the wall, go under a desk, and

902
00:52:38.769 --> 00:52:42.969
then underneath my bed. And that one was, that one

903
00:52:43.010 --> 00:52:45.090
was kind of white with a little bit of purple,

904
00:52:45.179 --> 00:52:48.860
almost looked like purple lightning going through it. And it was, um,

905
00:52:50.340 --> 00:52:52.820
same thing. It was a little bit bigger than a softball,

906
00:52:53.380 --> 00:52:58.420
maybe like halfway between a softball and a basketball. It

907
00:52:58.460 --> 00:53:03.000
was pretty good size, uh, go through, um, the house.

908
00:53:03.219 --> 00:53:03.760
My goodness.

909
00:53:04.409 --> 00:53:07.159
Yeah, and like I said, I've always, like my last

910
00:53:07.239 --> 00:53:10.320
house that I was living in in Oregon, we had

911
00:53:10.380 --> 00:53:14.139
an Indian burial ground not too far from where we lived,

912
00:53:14.619 --> 00:53:17.579
and I had stuff happen all the time in the house.

913
00:53:19.500 --> 00:53:24.960
I was actually talking with the people from Flash of Beauty,

914
00:53:25.219 --> 00:53:28.400
doing an interview with them, and they watched something walk

915
00:53:28.440 --> 00:53:30.389
behind me, and they asked, is somebody there with you?

916
00:53:30.409 --> 00:53:33.159
And I'm like, no, I'm here by myself. And they said, well,

917
00:53:33.179 --> 00:53:39.119
we caught something walk behind you. And that house, like

918
00:53:39.159 --> 00:53:41.739
I said, me and my daughter would be up in

919
00:53:42.360 --> 00:53:45.400
the family room upstairs and we would out of the

920
00:53:45.440 --> 00:53:48.010
corner where I kept stuff walking out of my bedroom

921
00:53:48.070 --> 00:53:53.269
into her bedroom all the time. One time I was asleep.

922
00:53:53.389 --> 00:53:56.829
I always sleep with earbuds in. I have to have noise,

923
00:53:56.889 --> 00:54:00.449
background noise. If I don't, my brain just all night

924
00:54:00.489 --> 00:54:03.679
long and I won't sleep. And I got slapped and

925
00:54:03.699 --> 00:54:05.880
then had the earbud ripped out of my head. And

926
00:54:05.940 --> 00:54:12.139
I was the only one home. I've had my kitchen cupboard,

927
00:54:12.719 --> 00:54:14.800
or it sounded like somebody opened the kitchen cupboard, grabbed

928
00:54:14.820 --> 00:54:17.610
all my pots and pans, picked them up and dropped

929
00:54:17.619 --> 00:54:20.050
them on my floor. And actually, I thought somebody was

930
00:54:20.090 --> 00:54:22.630
in my house. So I grabbed my gun and I

931
00:54:22.650 --> 00:54:27.010
went running downstairs. And like my dog, she hung up

932
00:54:27.070 --> 00:54:28.750
at the top of the stairs. She wouldn't go down

933
00:54:28.769 --> 00:54:30.630
the stairs. I went running down the stairs with the

934
00:54:30.650 --> 00:54:35.289
gun in my hand. go into the kitchen and nothing's there.

935
00:54:35.429 --> 00:54:38.489
Pots and pans are where they belong, but plain as day,

936
00:54:38.530 --> 00:54:41.719
I heard them just on the hardwood floors in the kitchen,

937
00:54:42.420 --> 00:54:46.820
but nothing there. So I've always been around that kind

938
00:54:46.880 --> 00:54:53.800
of stuff. So I think, I know a lot of

939
00:54:53.820 --> 00:54:56.760
people say, once you see Bigfoot, some of them will

940
00:54:56.800 --> 00:55:00.489
trust you and they'll let you see them again and again. Um,

941
00:55:00.769 --> 00:55:03.429
I don't know how much validity there is to that,

942
00:55:03.510 --> 00:55:08.929
but I think, um, if you are open to things

943
00:55:09.760 --> 00:55:12.880
and I'm, I'm not saying like, you know, letting demons

944
00:55:13.039 --> 00:55:16.619
in or anything like that, but if you're open to like, okay, yeah, I,

945
00:55:16.659 --> 00:55:21.400
you know, I think UFOs are real and stuff like that. Um,

946
00:55:22.989 --> 00:55:25.429
they're more open to show themselves to you. And maybe

947
00:55:25.469 --> 00:55:27.449
that's the same thing with Bigfoot. Maybe it's the same

948
00:55:27.489 --> 00:55:31.019
thing with the paranormal. Um, You know, I don't know.

949
00:55:32.860 --> 00:55:37.980
You know, it's hard to say, you know, because like my,

950
00:55:38.900 --> 00:55:41.400
at that time, like we would hear people walking in

951
00:55:41.440 --> 00:55:43.320
the house, me and my daughter, we would be there.

952
00:55:44.340 --> 00:55:49.170
But my ex-wife, she never heard anything, never saw anything

953
00:55:49.210 --> 00:55:52.730
at the house, but she had blinders on to everything.

954
00:55:53.070 --> 00:55:55.849
Nothing was real. None of that was real. She didn't

955
00:55:55.869 --> 00:55:58.289
believe me that I saw Bigfoot. Thought I was full

956
00:55:58.309 --> 00:56:01.380
of crap. Right.

957
00:56:01.900 --> 00:56:04.929
And you're a hundred percent on where if, if it's

958
00:56:04.969 --> 00:56:07.590
an individual where they're like, Oh yeah, there's weird stuff

959
00:56:07.630 --> 00:56:10.789
out in the world. Then it's aim on man and

960
00:56:10.889 --> 00:56:14.369
be aware of what might, what might come in. So

961
00:56:14.409 --> 00:56:18.360
that's when things like prayer and stuff can help greatly.

962
00:56:18.380 --> 00:56:19.300
Wow.

963
00:56:19.320 --> 00:56:25.119
So yeah, it sounds like, so you moved out to Ohio,

964
00:56:25.619 --> 00:56:28.559
but it sounds like you really haven't been out, um,

965
00:56:28.760 --> 00:56:31.539
like doing any, any Bigfoot stuff, maybe taking a break

966
00:56:31.780 --> 00:56:33.360
once you moved out there.

967
00:56:33.380 --> 00:56:38.349
I haven't because I, again, I don't know anybody out

968
00:56:38.389 --> 00:56:40.449
here that's into it. I'd love to get into a

969
00:56:40.469 --> 00:56:43.469
group that, that does it out here and, and be

970
00:56:43.510 --> 00:56:45.869
able to go, go out with them, you know, meet

971
00:56:45.989 --> 00:56:50.300
somebody like a Daryl or some, something that's, that's, um,

972
00:56:51.000 --> 00:56:53.360
into it. But I just, you know, I'm not on

973
00:56:53.429 --> 00:56:58.510
social media anymore, so I never really got into, um,

974
00:56:59.269 --> 00:57:04.130
meeting anybody out here that does it now. Um, I,

975
00:57:04.269 --> 00:57:07.820
I hunt up at Michigan up at Northern Michigan, not

976
00:57:07.880 --> 00:57:13.940
into the UP, but just Northern Michigan. And, um, my girlfriend,

977
00:57:14.039 --> 00:57:20.429
her uncle had a sighting, um, up there. He was

978
00:57:20.489 --> 00:57:24.210
coming home from the cabin and had one run across

979
00:57:24.309 --> 00:57:28.389
from the lakeside back into the timber in front of him.

980
00:57:28.929 --> 00:57:32.039
You know, we were probably, we left maybe an hour

981
00:57:32.440 --> 00:57:36.059
after him. We had no idea. He never told us

982
00:57:36.219 --> 00:57:38.820
for a long time. And he knows that I'd had

983
00:57:39.519 --> 00:57:41.500
sightings and stuff, but he just, he was kind of

984
00:57:41.539 --> 00:57:45.139
the same way. He just thought, I'm crazy. I don't

985
00:57:45.159 --> 00:57:47.239
want to say anything to anybody. You know, he was

986
00:57:47.280 --> 00:57:50.840
kind of, I guess the same thing everybody goes through,

987
00:57:50.940 --> 00:57:53.079
or I would imagine everybody goes through that. They don't

988
00:57:53.119 --> 00:57:57.659
want to, um, come out right away saying, Oh, guess

989
00:57:57.699 --> 00:58:00.909
what I saw, you know, you know, like I had

990
00:58:01.030 --> 00:58:06.869
one guy send me some stuff on messenger and stuff. Well, um,

991
00:58:07.610 --> 00:58:11.000
you just doing this to be famous. No, I'm not.

992
00:58:11.440 --> 00:58:14.440
I make absolutely no money off anything I've ever done.

993
00:58:14.480 --> 00:58:17.079
No interviews. I don't want to make money. I don't care.

994
00:58:17.099 --> 00:58:20.559
I don't want to be famous. If I wanted to

995
00:58:20.599 --> 00:58:23.880
be famous, I'd certainly pick something else to get into

996
00:58:23.980 --> 00:58:27.920
than be the crazy guy that, you know, has seen Bigfoot.

997
00:58:28.320 --> 00:58:28.840
Yeah, 100%.

998
00:58:28.840 --> 00:58:29.099
Right.

999
00:58:29.440 --> 00:58:35.840
Yeah, it always gets me when you hear that tossed around.

1000
00:58:35.880 --> 00:58:36.099
I mean.

1001
00:58:36.119 --> 00:58:37.110
Yeah.

1002
00:58:37.889 --> 00:58:38.460
Just....

1003
00:58:39.849 --> 00:58:42.789
It is not the highest ranking thing on YouTube. Get

1004
00:58:42.849 --> 00:58:46.559
into like financial literacy or something like that.

1005
00:58:46.619 --> 00:58:46.840
Right.

1006
00:58:46.900 --> 00:58:53.440
But that's a different discussion. So wild stuff. Now you

1007
00:58:53.519 --> 00:58:57.309
have mentioned, you kind of mentioned it in passing. So

1008
00:58:58.090 --> 00:59:00.389
there's definitely, it sounds like a spot where you got

1009
00:59:00.510 --> 00:59:06.619
from thinking that Bigfoot is some kind of animal. to, hey,

1010
00:59:06.659 --> 00:59:10.159
there's something else going on here. There's maybe some paranormal things.

1011
00:59:10.800 --> 00:59:15.119
So I'm guessing, was there a certain situation and maybe

1012
00:59:15.159 --> 00:59:17.980
we've already even discussed it where it really pushed you

1013
00:59:18.139 --> 00:59:20.739
over the edge and it was like, okay, what we're

1014
00:59:20.760 --> 00:59:24.820
dealing with cannot be explained as some undiscovered great ape

1015
00:59:24.880 --> 00:59:25.480
out in the woods.

1016
00:59:26.079 --> 00:59:29.619
Yeah. Um, I think it was just the buildup over time.

1017
00:59:30.199 --> 00:59:36.260
I can't say that just one specific thing changed me because,

1018
00:59:36.400 --> 00:59:39.679
you know, I would see, you know, okay. Cause I always,

1019
00:59:40.360 --> 00:59:43.250
you know, like a lot, you know, I have a

1020
00:59:43.289 --> 00:59:45.789
friend of mine at work that he lives in or

1021
00:59:45.849 --> 00:59:50.510
has a place up in Northern Michigan that he's had encounters.

1022
00:59:50.570 --> 00:59:53.369
He has them slapping his cabin at night, certain times

1023
00:59:53.389 --> 00:59:56.030
of the year, here's the whoops, finds the tracks, all

1024
00:59:56.050 --> 00:59:58.239
that stuff. And, you know, we'll look at a lot

1025
00:59:58.260 --> 01:00:01.699
of stuff and, 99% of what you see out there

1026
01:00:01.780 --> 01:00:05.619
is just crap. I mean, it's, you know, and especially

1027
01:00:05.679 --> 01:00:12.190
now with all this AI. So, so we kind of,

1028
01:00:13.530 --> 01:00:15.789
I just kind of, I was kind of numb to

1029
01:00:15.829 --> 01:00:17.789
a lot of this stuff. I would just kind of start,

1030
01:00:18.550 --> 01:00:21.710
you know, again, I guess I'm drifting off a little bit.

1031
01:00:21.769 --> 01:00:26.269
I tend to do that, but there was really no,

1032
01:00:26.369 --> 01:00:29.719
no one thing that kind of sent me, you know,

1033
01:00:30.019 --> 01:00:32.579
over that, I would see, like I said, you know,

1034
01:00:32.599 --> 01:00:34.300
you would see the tracks going on and then they

1035
01:00:34.320 --> 01:00:39.500
would disappear. And I've always like tried to debunk everything. Like,

1036
01:00:40.000 --> 01:00:42.599
you know, some people, they hear a crack in the woods. Oh,

1037
01:00:42.679 --> 01:00:45.820
it's a big foot. Is it? You mean there's no

1038
01:00:45.909 --> 01:00:47.889
elk out here? There's no bears out here. There's no

1039
01:00:47.949 --> 01:00:50.650
deer out here that can walk and make that branch break,

1040
01:00:51.210 --> 01:00:55.170
you know? So I've always tried to debunk stuff, but

1041
01:00:55.190 --> 01:00:58.360
when you would see the tracks, And they would disappear.

1042
01:00:58.429 --> 01:01:00.070
I would always think, okay, there's got to be a

1043
01:01:00.130 --> 01:01:03.750
tree or something that they're jumping into or climbing or

1044
01:01:03.849 --> 01:01:11.289
whatever and going away in. But when you can't find anything,

1045
01:01:11.349 --> 01:01:13.170
it makes you just kind of think, oh, that's kind

1046
01:01:13.210 --> 01:01:15.590
of weird. So you just kind of store that back there.

1047
01:01:16.150 --> 01:01:18.829
And then when I would get pictures and see the

1048
01:01:19.829 --> 01:01:24.929
branches go, shh, shh, and then the cookies are gone. Okay,

1049
01:01:24.969 --> 01:01:28.320
how'd that happen, you know? again, can I say Bigfoot

1050
01:01:28.360 --> 01:01:30.300
did it? No, because I don't have pictures of them

1051
01:01:30.340 --> 01:01:33.039
doing it, but it was just stuff like that all

1052
01:01:33.079 --> 01:01:36.769
the time. And it just, and then, um, after the

1053
01:01:36.809 --> 01:01:40.469
mind speak happened, that's when it was like, okay, there's

1054
01:01:40.670 --> 01:01:44.409
something else to these things. Cause that, uh, the minds

1055
01:01:44.989 --> 01:01:50.559
speak thing had happened probably maybe a month or month

1056
01:01:50.599 --> 01:01:53.900
and a half into hanging out with Daryl up there.

1057
01:01:53.940 --> 01:01:56.650
You know, I was seeing some of the other stuff, but, um,

1058
01:01:57.409 --> 01:02:00.650
finally that was the one thing that at the end

1059
01:02:00.670 --> 01:02:03.420
I was like, okay, yeah, yeah. But it wasn't solely

1060
01:02:03.500 --> 01:02:05.800
just because of that. It was, you know, the other

1061
01:02:05.820 --> 01:02:09.840
things that I had seen and, you know, what happened

1062
01:02:09.860 --> 01:02:14.030
there that, uh, it just kind of all builded up

1063
01:02:14.349 --> 01:02:17.420
or built up and made me go the way I,

1064
01:02:17.489 --> 01:02:21.699
you know, think the way I think. Um, So I've

1065
01:02:21.840 --> 01:02:24.780
always just kind of left things that, you know, people

1066
01:02:24.900 --> 01:02:27.519
ask me about or whatever. And I, I don't know, man,

1067
01:02:27.989 --> 01:02:31.010
I don't know. I don't, you know, I can tell

1068
01:02:31.050 --> 01:02:36.070
you what I've seen, what I've heard, um, what has happened.

1069
01:02:36.610 --> 01:02:38.969
I can tell you that you can draw your conclusions

1070
01:02:39.030 --> 01:02:41.820
from there, but I don't know. Right.

1071
01:02:42.340 --> 01:02:47.969
Yeah, absolutely. Um, when you guys were in that area, uh,

1072
01:02:49.789 --> 01:02:56.670
would you ever hear like disembodied voices or your names

1073
01:02:56.730 --> 01:02:59.010
being called from the woods or anything like that?

1074
01:02:59.750 --> 01:03:03.099
I never did. I never did. I can't speak for Daryl,

1075
01:03:03.119 --> 01:03:08.460
but I personally never heard anything like that. The only,

1076
01:03:08.599 --> 01:03:12.559
the noises that I would hear were the once in

1077
01:03:12.579 --> 01:03:15.210
a while you'd hear screams, but we'd hear the wolves

1078
01:03:15.730 --> 01:03:18.639
more than anything. You just, hear that quite a bit.

1079
01:03:18.760 --> 01:03:21.769
And then, you know, I know they weren't vocal, but

1080
01:03:22.050 --> 01:03:24.130
the tree knocks, we would hear the tree knocks quite

1081
01:03:24.170 --> 01:03:24.670
a bit too.

1082
01:03:26.929 --> 01:03:31.389
Do you think the activity was, uh, limited to the

1083
01:03:31.510 --> 01:03:37.010
area that you would spend time with, um, uh, you

1084
01:03:37.050 --> 01:03:40.610
would spend there with, with Daryl or were there other, um,

1085
01:03:41.670 --> 01:03:43.909
places in the area that, that you would check out

1086
01:03:43.949 --> 01:03:45.179
and have activity happening?

1087
01:03:46.030 --> 01:03:49.880
There was other spots. So that place that, um, I

1088
01:03:49.920 --> 01:03:52.360
was talking about having the rocks thrown at us, that

1089
01:03:52.400 --> 01:03:54.380
was the complete different area. I mean, it was still

1090
01:03:54.440 --> 01:03:58.559
cottage grove and it was probably as the crow flies,

1091
01:03:59.800 --> 01:04:03.840
maybe three, four miles away. So it wasn't terribly far away,

1092
01:04:04.260 --> 01:04:07.039
but it was a different area. And we had the

1093
01:04:07.119 --> 01:04:11.320
tree knocks there. We would find tracks down in there. Um,

1094
01:04:12.079 --> 01:04:14.409
then again, we had the rocks thrown at us that

1095
01:04:14.550 --> 01:04:18.380
one day, um, We went back to that same area

1096
01:04:18.400 --> 01:04:23.639
because it had been snowing up there. And we went back.

1097
01:04:24.349 --> 01:04:26.769
I don't know how long afterwards that we had the

1098
01:04:26.849 --> 01:04:29.670
rocks thrown at us. And I walked back in because

1099
01:04:29.690 --> 01:04:31.969
what it was, it was a big intersection in the road.

1100
01:04:32.010 --> 01:04:35.320
It was a big three-way. And out of the trees

1101
01:04:35.400 --> 01:04:37.280
in the middle here, we were standing in the road

1102
01:04:37.320 --> 01:04:40.500
down in here. And then it forked. And some rocks

1103
01:04:40.559 --> 01:04:42.739
came out of the middle throwing at us. So I

1104
01:04:42.780 --> 01:04:45.010
walked back in there and I found a bunch of

1105
01:04:45.090 --> 01:04:47.550
cracks back in that area.

1106
01:04:48.929 --> 01:04:53.309
My goodness. I've heard so many things from that area

1107
01:04:53.369 --> 01:04:55.130
over the years. I mean, if you go further east,

1108
01:04:55.190 --> 01:04:59.280
like sightings over by Culp Creek and weird stuff by

1109
01:04:59.340 --> 01:05:02.440
Sharps Creek. And I mean, then you got like Bohemia Mines.

1110
01:05:03.699 --> 01:05:06.800
Heard many sightings and weird stuff over there. I mean,

1111
01:05:06.820 --> 01:05:09.940
there's some historical ones, too, if you go. far back

1112
01:05:10.320 --> 01:05:13.920
in the historical record with the newspaper articles. Um, but

1113
01:05:13.980 --> 01:05:16.940
he did a whole area dude is just, is this weird, uh,

1114
01:05:18.079 --> 01:05:18.760
weird as all.

1115
01:05:18.679 --> 01:05:21.280
Kind of weird too. Cause when we, when we would

1116
01:05:21.309 --> 01:05:23.610
get up there and pull over and get out of

1117
01:05:23.650 --> 01:05:27.130
the truck, you, I don't know what it was, but

1118
01:05:27.150 --> 01:05:29.590
you always do. Okay. Yeah. They're in here today or no,

1119
01:05:29.610 --> 01:05:31.590
they're not. Even if you couldn't hear anything, you just

1120
01:05:31.630 --> 01:05:34.489
kind of had that, you had that feeling. It just

1121
01:05:34.550 --> 01:05:37.840
always had a weird, weird feeling to it. And we

1122
01:05:37.860 --> 01:05:40.340
would get in there and, I'm like, you know, and

1123
01:05:40.360 --> 01:05:42.420
Daryl would say the same thing. I think they're here today.

1124
01:05:42.460 --> 01:05:45.659
And I'm like, yeah, I think so too. And, you know,

1125
01:05:45.760 --> 01:05:49.099
sometimes we would get a reaction down in there, you know, later,

1126
01:05:49.659 --> 01:05:52.940
or sometimes, you know, we would say, it's just, I

1127
01:05:52.960 --> 01:05:54.340
don't know. I don't think they're in here. You just,

1128
01:05:54.360 --> 01:05:56.840
I don't know. It just, it was like, you just

1129
01:05:56.949 --> 01:05:59.199
felt different. And I don't know if it was just

1130
01:05:59.789 --> 01:06:02.829
in our head, but we would both always feel the

1131
01:06:02.869 --> 01:06:05.150
same thing. Yes, they're here or no, they're not. It's

1132
01:06:05.190 --> 01:06:07.389
not like, you know, I said they were, and he

1133
01:06:07.449 --> 01:06:10.210
said they weren't. it was always the same thing. Yeah.

1134
01:06:10.230 --> 01:06:12.780
They're here today or no, they're not here today.

1135
01:06:13.929 --> 01:06:18.119
Was it, uh, was it anything that you would notice, uh,

1136
01:06:18.659 --> 01:06:21.760
on your physical person that would change during that time?

1137
01:06:22.599 --> 01:06:25.219
No, it was just kind of, you know, in your gut,

1138
01:06:25.239 --> 01:06:28.679
you just kind of could just kind of feel it. So,

1139
01:06:28.699 --> 01:06:31.719
you know, we would find also another thing we would

1140
01:06:31.760 --> 01:06:36.409
find in there all the time, um, were triangles. There

1141
01:06:36.449 --> 01:06:41.469
were triangles everywhere in there. They would take sticks and

1142
01:06:41.510 --> 01:06:44.110
lay them out on triangles on logs. They'd be on

1143
01:06:44.130 --> 01:06:46.730
the ground. Some of them they would weave together and

1144
01:06:46.750 --> 01:06:50.530
they would hang them on stobs on the tree trunks.

1145
01:06:51.559 --> 01:06:56.360
We'd see that quite a bit. Woven branches. I've got

1146
01:06:56.420 --> 01:06:59.880
so many pictures of woven bushes. I have one that's

1147
01:06:59.980 --> 01:07:02.860
really cool. It's two like this and they come up

1148
01:07:02.929 --> 01:07:05.650
and then they make, they are tied into a complete circle.

1149
01:07:07.210 --> 01:07:11.050
I've got a lot of that stuff, all kinds of

1150
01:07:11.090 --> 01:07:13.989
woven stuff up there. Again, a lot of it, you

1151
01:07:14.010 --> 01:07:15.510
hate to say it, but you see it all the

1152
01:07:15.550 --> 01:07:17.150
time and you just kind of get numb to it.

1153
01:07:17.170 --> 01:07:20.719
It's like, eh, okay, it's just another woven branch. or whatever.

1154
01:07:21.019 --> 01:07:24.179
We've had logs where the, the ends of them are

1155
01:07:24.300 --> 01:07:28.949
rotten and literally I'll have 10 or 15 branches that

1156
01:07:29.010 --> 01:07:31.530
are probably, you know, inch and a half, two inches

1157
01:07:31.590 --> 01:07:35.489
around jammed into the end of it, just hanging out. Um,

1158
01:07:36.570 --> 01:07:39.170
they could do it. I don't know, but something with

1159
01:07:39.550 --> 01:07:41.179
hands had to do it.

1160
01:07:41.210 --> 01:07:45.659
You know, the way that you're describing the, the woven

1161
01:07:46.440 --> 01:07:52.880
from the cottage Grove area, I've had, other people send

1162
01:07:52.920 --> 01:07:56.139
me pictures like that from the same area. And it's

1163
01:07:56.179 --> 01:07:59.079
like almost very unique for the area. And I think,

1164
01:08:00.059 --> 01:08:02.280
I don't know if she still has it, but Priscilla

1165
01:08:02.480 --> 01:08:09.510
even had one on display at the Area 58 Museum

1166
01:08:09.570 --> 01:08:13.369
in Oak Ridge. Really, really cool stuff. It's just like,

1167
01:08:13.469 --> 01:08:16.130
it does not happen by itself in nature. There's no

1168
01:08:16.229 --> 01:08:18.850
way possible it's happening by itself in nature.

1169
01:08:19.470 --> 01:08:22.510
It's nuts no and when you can physically see like

1170
01:08:22.550 --> 01:08:25.449
where the branches are twisted and split open and stuff

1171
01:08:25.470 --> 01:08:29.630
like that yeah no it's not that's again can i

1172
01:08:29.670 --> 01:08:31.729
say bigfoot did it no because i didn't see him

1173
01:08:31.770 --> 01:08:34.250
do it but some who's gonna walk down in the

1174
01:08:34.289 --> 01:08:37.789
bottom of a freaking canyon weave up a bunch of

1175
01:08:37.850 --> 01:08:40.890
branches and walk back out of there i mean come.

1176
01:08:40.840 --> 01:08:45.539
On yeah absolutely logically it doesn't it doesn't make sense

1177
01:08:45.979 --> 01:08:49.210
um and i mean it And then you got the

1178
01:08:49.250 --> 01:08:51.449
stuff up in Mount Hood National Forest. You see if

1179
01:08:51.470 --> 01:08:53.560
you go in the woods, that's a whole story in itself.

1180
01:08:53.619 --> 01:08:58.069
But it's just it's weird, man, is so weird. Mark,

1181
01:08:58.130 --> 01:09:01.640
thank you for for sharing. about, you know, what you've

1182
01:09:01.680 --> 01:09:06.439
experienced over the years. Cottage Grove, especially is a weird place.

1183
01:09:07.159 --> 01:09:09.979
It's always, it's always a treat when I'm able to

1184
01:09:10.020 --> 01:09:12.979
talk to someone about their experiences. And it's like, as

1185
01:09:13.020 --> 01:09:17.310
I said before, it doesn't matter if it's in, you know,

1186
01:09:17.310 --> 01:09:24.899
20 or 2020, Or the 1990s. It was still going on.

1187
01:09:25.020 --> 01:09:27.560
It doesn't matter what time frame it was. It's so,

1188
01:09:27.800 --> 01:09:30.199
so weird. So I want to say thank you so

1189
01:09:30.220 --> 01:09:32.439
much for coming on the show. Mark, are you the

1190
01:09:32.640 --> 01:09:36.420
kind of individual where if people want to reach out

1191
01:09:36.460 --> 01:09:40.060
to you about stuff that you've mentioned, is there a

1192
01:09:40.060 --> 01:09:43.100
way to reach out to you or do you prefer

1193
01:09:43.119 --> 01:09:44.460
to be in the background?

1194
01:09:45.199 --> 01:09:48.569
They can hit me up on my email providing... It's,

1195
01:09:48.810 --> 01:09:51.770
you know, they're asking legit questions. If you're going to

1196
01:09:51.789 --> 01:09:55.869
be a jerk, don't waste my time. I'm not going to,

1197
01:09:56.369 --> 01:09:59.149
I'm not going to waste my time answering you back

1198
01:09:59.229 --> 01:10:01.949
and getting into it. He said, she said, or whatever.

1199
01:10:02.229 --> 01:10:04.060
I'm not going to do it. So don't waste your breath.

1200
01:10:04.140 --> 01:10:06.199
But if you have legit questions and you want to

1201
01:10:06.239 --> 01:10:10.000
talk to me about it, ask, ask away. So you

1202
01:10:10.020 --> 01:10:18.340
can use my email. It's blacktailmark, B-L-A-C-K-T-A-I-L-T-A-I-L.com. Mark at gmail.com.

1203
01:10:19.039 --> 01:10:22.819
Perfect. And I'll have that in the description or the

1204
01:10:22.880 --> 01:10:26.000
show notes of the episode that people can check out too.

1205
01:10:26.600 --> 01:10:29.579
But thank you so much, Mark, for hanging out. If,

1206
01:10:29.819 --> 01:10:32.920
if you run into anything out there in Ohio, reach out,

1207
01:10:33.000 --> 01:10:36.619
let us know. Hopefully, you know, you can get set

1208
01:10:36.680 --> 01:10:39.539
up with some, some group out there, maybe have some

1209
01:10:39.579 --> 01:10:42.430
adventures or maybe just go to South Fork State Park and,

1210
01:10:42.779 --> 01:10:46.000
and just kind of meet some people, Definitely meet some

1211
01:10:46.020 --> 01:10:48.140
people that way. But it's been a pleasure talking to you, man.

1212
01:10:48.220 --> 01:10:48.960
Thank you so much.

1213
01:10:49.600 --> 01:10:50.699
Yeah, thank you for having me.

1214
01:10:50.880 --> 01:10:53.680
Special thanks to Mark Parker for coming on the show today.

1215
01:10:54.060 --> 01:10:56.479
