He Looked Up — and Saw Bigfoot Staring Back! | Iowa

So you've got some really interesting comments you're putting down there about southeast Iowa, I'm very interested.

0:40 Yes, where I live in Mike County. It's close to the Missouri borderline and Iowa and I moved I'm to this county back in nineteen eighty eight and I was going to the highest school here and we have a we have a state park that's right across the river from from my town. And I met this kid in my classroom and he's like, Hey, you want to hang out with me, we'll go We'll go into the state park and I and you know, he's like, I gotta.

1:30 I gotta place it. I like to hang out there, right, And I'm like okay. So he let me borrow his brother's bike and we go across the bridge because where I live is the Des Moines River and you can actually look this up. Anyways, we go across the river or the river across the bridge, and we go right right into the state park. It's like right across the bridge and right into the state park. And we go in there pretty way. Like I said, it's pretty deep in there, and it's, like I said, it's state park, full of woods and everything. And so we get off our bikes and we go down into the woods, down down and over this ravine. We're walking around and down there is this like water stream. There's like this water stream, and so we're walking down along this water stream and I'm like, hey man, so how much further is this spot you want to show me? Oh, it's up here. Ways, we're getting close. I'm like, okay, Well, we keep going along and now we're like really getting deep in the into these woods and we're I know, we're pretty good far away from our bikes. I mean we left them up on the up by the road and we went down into this ravine and now we're like back in the woods pretty far. Anyways, I see

3:04 that the stream, you know, is kind of cluttered with you know, old leaves from last year's winter or last weird last year's fall. And this is like around September now, because I moved into this town around h September, which school started. So anyways, so it's around September, around the first part of September. So I'm cleaning out the junk out of this stream, trying to you know, let the water go faster. So I'm been down and I'm cleaning the water, the leaves and junk out of the out of the stream, and he goes on around. He goes on and keeps on walking. All of a sudden he comes barreling past me, running as fast as he can go.

4:11 I mean, he's he's booking it, and he's running so fast that he runs in the stream and he splashes me with water. I'm like, hey, man, what are you doing? I said, you just got me wet. Why are you running like that? And he turns back his head and he stops for a second, and he's like, run, man, there's a bear up that way. You need to run, like right now. Run. I'm like, I stand up and I look at him. I'm like, dude, there's no bears in Iowa. He's like, I just saw one. You need to run. I'm like, okay, curiosity, you know, curiosity killed cat.

5:05 So I go where he just came from and I'm looking around. Now. I'm going really slow because if there is I don't want to, you know, allure it to my position. So I'm going really slow, and I go up and I go around kind of like a half like I said, I'm down in this ravine and I go around this like half curve, and all of a sudden, I hear this twig snap above my head or about it's about probably, oh, I don't know, probably ten foot in front of me, up on the hill. And I look up there and all of a sudden, standing there looking down at me is this big, tall, hairy thing looking at me. And I got about probably five seconds to register in my mind what I was seeing before I decided to turn around and book myself. And I'm looking at this thing and it is very very tall.

6:31 I noticed that it was probably good, oh, I don't know, eight foot tall or so had long arms that went cleared down. Its hands went like cleared down by its knees, and it was just hairy brown hair all over it. And before I turned around to run, because everything in my being was the fight or flight mode is, I said, really, I said, really loud to this thing, You're not a bear. And I turned around and I ran as fast as I could down the stream where my friend just came from, and I caught up to him. I was running so fast, and I told him run, man, that is not a bear.

7:25 And he's like, what I said, don't stop, run, it's behind me. I said, just keep running. So we run and I'm like, where's the bikes And he's like, I think it's up this way. So we like hauled up up up this hill and it was pretty steep hill, and I said, well, just move, man, we need to get out of here. So we got on the bikes and we went so fast out of that park. We went across the bridge and straight to his house. We didn't even we were so scared. We threw the bikes down and ran into his house. And we got up into his room and he's like, he's like, what did you see? I said, well, I don't know, what did you see? He said it looked like a bear to me.

8:19 I said, man, I went back, see what you saw, because there's not supposed to be bear in Iowa. So so I said, well, he's like, well, what did you see? Then? I said, man, this thing that I saw was standing on two legs, and it was very tall and very hairy, and it had human looking hands, and it was very tall and hairy. I said, man, from what I observed in that five seconds that I was looking at this thing, that was a sasquatch. He's like, what I said, a sasquatch?

9:03 You know, a bigfoot? Have you never heard of a bigfoot? And he's like, oh yeah, I said, yeah, that's what that was. He's like, nobody's going to believe us if you said something about that. And he's like, I'm not going to ever tell anybody that. They'll think we're crazy. It's nice, probably a good probably a good ten foot away from. Did it look more human or more something else. Let's just say it was standing on two legs, and it was really tall with long arms, and it was very very hairy, with hair brown brown hair all over, even on its arms. The hair was hanging off of its arms and had his arms was down at its side looking at me.

10:02 Do you remember anything specific about its face? It? It had hair in its face. It was so hairy. The hair was like matted over its face. But I can I could tell that it was focused on me because looking down at me, so it could actually I guess it could see me through its hairs because looking at me. Can I guess the county this is an almost one hundred percent know which one it is? It's Van Buren County, Yeah, exactly. Oh well I wanted to guess. But can I guess the state park that it's Lacey Kiyosaka?

10:44 Right? Well? Yeah, how did you know that? It's because I have spent hours talking to people about this county and about that state park and about Shameek State Forest. That area is nuts on there, my friend. It's crazy. That state park is also known for a lot of dog man activity. And there are so many people in that county that have had experiences over the years and that have had them around their house and that we're feeding them. And it's just I don't know what is up with that county. But you've got bigfoot activity like absolutely crazy down there.

11:25 Well, you ain't whistling Dixie, my friend. It's real. I'm not getting away from If it wanted me, it could have had me. And this was our late eighties. You said, yeah, like eighty eight, Yeah, yeah, eighty eight, eighty nine. In the comments, you were saying that people are having their trailers or RVs rocked back and forth. Can you elaborate on that. Yeah, there's been multiple since eighty nine, eighty eight, eighty nine. When I've moved here, there was there was many reports from campers people that, uh, like I said, I made friends with the locals, and some of the locals that would camp in there would say that at nighttime their their campers would literally rock be rocking by something that was good enough to rocket. And one report said that, uh, something literally clawed the side of their their camper and the next morning there was claw marks.

12:50 Wow, oh my goodness, this is intense, dude. There's also been reports from campers who didn't even stay though the whole night. As soon as something was happening, they leave, They got they left. They even told the DNR we're leaving, We're out of here. Oh wow, that's that's wild. Do you. Have you also heard about so you know, like Benton's Sport. Yes, I've heard there's a woman. I actually heard about this woman who claims that there's a family of them that lives in her back forty that she watches the little ones play.

13:40 Yeah, little yep. I've interviewed her two or three different times. Her story is crazy. I was gonna say crazy. It's not crazy, though, it's amazing. She doesn't live there anymore, so she is not there. But yeah, her story is incredible. I was also I was also going to ask if you've heard anything going on in the Bent Support campground across the river. Yes, that have I heard about that one. Yeah. Like I said, I've been here forty six years and so yeah, now's there's lots of locals that report Okay.

14:27 There's. I've heard that area that campground is very active, but I've never heard any actual reports. Do you can you remember anything that has actually happened in that campground? Well, like I said, many many reports of people leaving in the middle of the night as soon as something would happen. There's actually been people that are crazy and me to actually have a litteral tent and because there's a section in the park where you can actually put up a tent, and multiple people have had something like pressed down on the tent and they'd come flying out of there and actually leave their stuff behind to get out of there.

15:20 Well, and this is Lacy Kiyosakwa you're talking about now, Yes, Lacy Park. Okay? Is that so? Is that just the campground? I'm looking at the map right now, it's or is there like primitive camping in that area? Yeah, there's a spot in the about the middle of the park where you can park your your RVs and then there's a section where you can actually pitch a tent. But I wouldn't advise you to pitch a tent anywhere. Yeah, you know. That's too too deep. Yeah, it's too dangerous. I've never heard of that stuff lippening in Iowa. That's wild.

16:07 But yeah, these things will walk right up into the heck. I was camping out there back in twenty fifteen. I went out there camping with my mom and stuff, and we were we were in an RV and this one particular night, uh I was outside sitting on the picnic bench and I smoked a cigarette and uh I was looking down toward where you can actually pitch tenths down that that direction right in front of me, and then right to the side of me, or right about pretty much categoria.

16:50 From the. Parking spot is a is a restroom area where you can actually take a shower in there if you want to or whatever. Anyway, sure, I'm sitting there smoking. I'm smoking a cigarette, and there's a there's a night there's a night lamp that comes on at night, right, so it's nighttime. I'm sitting out there smoking cigarette, and I swear on everything, I'm sitting there, and all of a sudden, out of the shadows coming toward me was this big, huge one of them again. And I mean this one was about the same, oh, I'd say about the same size as the one I saw back in eighty eighty eight.

17:43 And he was not afraid to walk straight up there. He just would not come exactly really into the light area because you know how the light comes down in this. All. Absolutely, and he was huge, I mean, broad shouldered, long arms, the whole thing. And he was standing there and I went from smoking my cigarette to cupping it like you you know when you're hunting, so you know, nothing can see. I cut my cigarette and I kind of like froze. I did not want him to see me, and it started kind of like looking around, and right kind of corner from us was a camper got a bunch of guys.

18:32 They had their RV right close to the actual restroom area, and they had a bonfire, and of course they were sitting out their joke and making it, and this thing looked toward them, looked over toward that area, and then he went around the restroom building. I watched him move really kind of fast, with like two steps. He was behind behind the restroom area and disappeared. I don't know where he went, where that thing went, but in two moves he was behind the restroom building. That's how big their step is, I guess, because in two moves he was beyond the building.

Yep, I'm good. Okay. Do you know people that are having interactions with Bigfoot in that county current day? Not as I not lately I haven't really, Like I said, I after those two encounters, I kind of try to stay or avoid going to the park. I kind of like, if I go out there, I try to go out there when it's daylight, when it's almost sunset or whatever, early morning, I try to avoid. I figured, he stays where he is, and I'll stay where I am.

20:16 Right, absolutely, So, you've had two different sightings over the years in this one park area. Yeah, in the same part. So yeah, that's amazing. That is absolutely amazing. It has been a privilege to hear what you've experienced over the years. That's an area that I do want to go to one day. It's on the list. It's a few hours to get down there. Still there, I hope to make it. I've talked to a few people from Van Buren over the years, and they all have crazy things to say about Bigfoot or dog man or giants back in the forties.

I actually encountered a dog man once down here in Key in this county once and it it freaked me out, dude, because I didn't think there was such a thing. You know, you know, you figure, you know, uh, Hollywood, you know shows you you know, the wolf Man or whatever you know, or wear wolves on TV. You don't, you know, you don't think that that's real. You know, you think that that's you know, it's just Hollywood. But I saw one with my own eyes, a dog guy, and it was real and it I was like, oh man, I had to blink because I was like, this can't be real. And it looked at me and they had big ears on top of its head, of the full long wolf mouth full of teeth, and yeah, this thing was standing on two legs, dude. And I was like, whoa. I backed up. Luckily it wasn't hungry enough or something. I was like, good now. I was like, I put my hands up. I'm like, no, I don't want nothing to do with you, buddy. I couldn't believe what.

22:30 I was seeing was that in the state park two. No, that was actually see I back in eighty nine, I lived on the outskirts of my town, kind of like out towards the country what they call like tree line. It wasn't like like woods woods, but kind of like a tree line. That has like like some some wood in it. But yeah, but we had we had dogs in the backyard, you know, and I had a at night, I go out and tend to them. Well, the dogs were going to fit this one night and uh my mom told me go outside and tend to the dogs.

23:16 He's like, have you tend to do the dogs yet? And I said, no, not yet. Mom. She's like, well, they're throwing a fit out there. You need to go out there and tend to them, make them, make them shut up. Said okay, So you know, I didn't think anything of it. So I was like, and I go out out my door and we have this wrap around porch that we lived in this house, so it had a wrap around porch and then it had a divider screen door, and then it had the dog food right right inside the divider, and then out out the door was the backyard for for the dogs. And we had this extension shed that was a attached to that dividing screen door, and there was a shed there and then of course the car was parked right there and right there in front of that shed, and there's this big bush that grew up beside the shed. Anyways, I go out the door, and I go to take go walk around the porch to go into that divider, and all of a sudden, that bush started shaking. And now it's not windy outside, I mean, there's no wind, but this bush started shaking, and I'm like, what the heck?

24:43 And then of course the dogs are just throwing a fit, and all of a sudden, I see this dark shadow thing come jumping out of the bush and land right beside my mom's car, and I'm like, what was that? Because when it hit the ground, it actually made it made like a thumping sound. It was so heavy it made the like a third Like I'm like, what is that? And all of a sudden, I see movement, and I see gray hairs like sticking kind of up. And then all of a sudden, I see ears come up, and all of a sudden, I see, uh a long snout was in the ears or like real on top of its head and it's mouth. I was like, oh my gosh, that's a who off. And all this sudden I was like, I guess it must have heard he gasped. When I saw it, I was like, whoa, And so I backed up.

26:09 I backed up against the house. I was standing on the porch and I backed up against the house. I'm like, whoa, I don't want nothing to do with whatever you are, And so I started trying to go round the wall of the house back to the front door to get away from it. Luckily, this thing just kept watching me, and it kind of had its teeth showing, like you know, it's like giving me a threat, like don't come any closer. And I was like kept backing away. Well, all of a sudden, it decided to bolt from behind my mom's car out into the the actual road where I could get a real good look at this thing. And I'm telling you, this thing was about seven foot. It had no tail, but it like it looked like a uh like, but it was hair all over it, and I could tell that it was a dog man or what do you want to call a wear a wolf because the back end side of it looked like a human rear in but it was all hairy, but it had had long hair all over its bo It had hair all over its body, and its hands were had long claws and it had hands, not paws hands, and his face was stretched out like like a wolf look like wear wolf,

27:42 like like you see you on TV. Had the long snow, the big long years hair, hands were claws, fingernails had were claws. H and then it hopped away. What's so weird is it was on all fours. It went onto all fours and then leaked like a dog and ran away. It was I thought I was seeing a thing. And that's the end of that story. That's the only time I ever saw one.

Is this has really helped me because it's an area I've been looking into and I really appreciate you sharing. What you know. So yeah, if y'all don't believe where wolves are real, they're real. I saw one. I mean I thought it was Hollywood. You know that makes that up. But I saw one as I see you. Man, mm hmm. Well, it was a pleasure meet. Let's keep in touch. I mean, I even took a moment, and I was looking at this thing for quite a long time, so I had time to compute what I was seeing, So it wasn't like a I was hallucinating. My mind was literally computing. That isn't normal. Well, these things are so bold, the the bigfoots are so bold in State Park that there's also been reports of people that go down toward the lake or whatever, they'll have rocks being throwed into the water, like they're trying to throw rocks at people. Yeah, Lacy, Yeah, okay, there's been people that have had rocks, big rocks like splash into the water and scare people away.

Belle says in the chat that she's heard Oh okay, yeah, she's I don't know if she's saying she's heard that from the same area or she's heard that they throw rocks, which I've heard that as well from other places too. But wow, good good stuff. This is good stuff. Yeah. I am going to uh my, my headphones are almost about dead. A friend of mine and I were coming from Seattle, Washington one February in the early nineties, and we were roads for black ice, and I was being very cautious and driving very slow, and we got to blow it pass, and I got this uncomfortable feeling like something around the next corner would be something that I didn't really want to see. So I slowed way down and there was a person that we thought it was a person originally standing and where he was standing there were some pilasters where they keep the snow back, and these things were eight ten feet and he was right up there at the top of it. He had like looked like a fur thing. His hair was long and disheveled, and I had long arms, and I think I saw him with a stick. I'm not sure, but every way and the bottom he looked like fur I thought first it was just a lot of things went on.

32:25 It was just fast, fast, fast, and she had a different feeling of diamond I did. She thought he was hurt and we should stop, and I just said no and kept going, actually speeding up, which was dangerous. And it was like a creek thing on one side, which was probably frozen. But I had the feeling if he wanted to. He could just appear right in our back seat, so it was crazy. I got more details would come to me and with her after we talked, but it was out of our memory for like ten plush years.

33:08 And then one time she called and said, was that you that I was with? And I said, no, I don't think so. But then I remembered. It all came back and it was fascinating that it took ten years for us to remember something. Was that terrifying to me? And she was overly concerned. She said that we'd left someone that needed help, even if it wasn't a man, we should have stopped, and I did not stop. We startled him. His eyes were slanted, and my memory is kind of crazy. It was almost like a yellow green eyes. I'm not sure about that. It was dusk, and he was tall, long arms, long, long, long arms, and his body was then and I could see almost it but looked like a chest, but it wasn't. And he was covered in here, especially at the bottom part. And anyway, that's what we saw. So if you're interested beyond this, let me know.

34:15 Oh my goodness, hold on, I need I need to talk to this individual. Immediately had our surveillance telesecurity that a big foot was eating out of the casino dumpster. Hey sir, how are you doing? I'm good. Was this happening in Oklahoma? Yes? Is this recent? This was actually? Let see, I started to work the casino about two thousand and eight, I want to say it was about twenty ten. Yep. Absolutely? And was this is this the wind Star World Casino? No, this is a gold river in Anadarko Gold River.

35:00 Really. Yeah, and right. Below it is actually the oldest federally operated residential boarding school Native American right below the casino. Okay, I'm looking this up real quick. Oh got it? Okay, so in a darko let me see where this is. Oh wow, I believe this is not the first report of a bigfoot being seen around a casino dumpster. Let me look real quick. I think there was another one too. Yep, this also happened at the Lucky Star casino as well.

35:52 Can you share any more info about your what happened at your casino? So it was probably about two o'clock, two o'clock in the morning, and one of the surveillance workers had called the manager on duty and told him to come to the surveillance room, and so you know, the manager on duty always gets called to the surveillance room, so we really didn't think. Much about it. But usually after that happens, the manager on duty will come back and share something with us, you know, that they're watching a patron or there's some kind of activity going on somewhere and wants us to be aware. So he didn't come. He didn't come find us, didn't come find security. There was two guards working that night, and a little bit later after we close up the casino, that's whenever the manager on duty is getting ready to leave and told us, you know what had happened.

Right next to the dumpster was like a real thick area of trees, and the surveillance saw and the manager on duty saw this bigfoot stepped over the fence, and whenever he stepped over the fence, he started digging around into the side of that dumpster. There's like a sliding door and he could just see the silhouette of it. But you know, it was big. And those dumpsters that we had back there, there were the tall the tall square box kind of dumpsters, and so that dumpster was big too. But it was taller than that, So it was probably maybe about almost eight feet, I would think, and that's just my estimate. But we went back there, you know, just to kind of look around.

37:49 After the casino was closed, and we noticed some hair that was on that bob wire not too far from it. Wow, you did you try to take any of that here? Or did you just leave it there? No, we just we just left it there. It's one of those things where. You know, as we hear about those all the time, those encounters, you know, people seeing them like around here around Anadarko. Uh. There's actually a place not too far from here which is called hog Creek, and you know, a lot of our elders they always see, you know, see that bigfoot down there, and we're thinking it's probably the same one that you know that gets the dogs all worked up down there, and you know that'll come and you know, just kind of be mischievous around the houses around around hog Creek, and you know, it's one of those things where we just you know, we were we were never told to really interact with it, I guess you would say.

38:57 And so a lot of that comes from, you know, our tribal superstitions too. To where. You know, it would be considered like a bad omen to you know, disturb you know that creature. Yeah. Absolutely. Do you know if there was any footage captured of of the big Foot at the casino? I'm I'm more than positive there is, but you know, it's it would be one of those things where you know, it would be under the Indian Gaming Commission, you know, and all the red tape. I've never been in that surveillance room after working there for you know, five years, and I don't even know what that surveillance room even looks like. So it's it's really secretive and closely guarded, you know, the workings and where the cameras are and where they're faced, you know, for obvious reasons.

39:55 No, absolutely, I mean, and that makes total sense being at a casino. But you know, it's very similar to the story of the Lucky Star sighting, which actually happened in two thousand and two, just so you're aware of that. So you've got that one in two thousand and two, yours is in twenty ten. If you ever do get I guess in the future, if you ever get to become friends with a person in that room that might know that like, yeah, we have that on file. I would love to see it. What a way to start the night. I love it. Okay. So I was about twelve, me and my cousin. Where we lived, well, i'll live in the mountains I live on I lived on a what was called sand Hill. It was a steep mountain and so you could look over and see the whole town. And there was a football. Game that night. So me and my cousin was sitting on the bench facing the football game, and uh, you know, we couldn't see it up close, but we liked to hear the cannons and just watch over the town and stuff. And the mountains were directly behind us, and we heard the awfulest wrestling you ever hear in your life, limbs, breaking leaves, you know, all of it. And we looked back and from behind one of the trees there was a bigfoot popping around looking at us. She took off running to her house. I took off running into my house. And that was the last time I've seen one, and it scared the locke out of us. Vogues, but it was Now that I'm older and I think about it, it was an exhilarating experience because it's very rare to have

42:25 that opportunity to see something like that. No, it really is. What year abouts was that? That would probably been in about nineteen ninety one? Okay, Gosha And did you say it was near an area called sand. Hill Yeah, sand Hill Road in Cumberland, Kentucky. Sure, take a look Cumberland, Kentucky. You know that sounds awfully familiar. I believe I've interviewed. I think that's come up in an interview. I can't remember specifics. I'm working on my map right now.

43:08 A lot of sightings here there, oh yeah, mm hmm. My my family, several of my family members have seen it. My my ex husband seeing one. There's a lot of sightings around that area. And are these sightings that are similar to you where they just see a quick glimpse of it, or are they a bit more intense or what kind of things are happening. My cousin seeing one full body, like he said, it wasn't one hundred feet in front of him, and but he didn't share very much of it. He just he swears that he's seen it, and it was right below where I seen one. And it was years later later after I seen the one that I seen when he saw his, and and my ex husband used to live on the same road, and that's where he saw his, but he was back in the mountains. He was literally back in the mountains when see, we live on a mountain, but me and my cousin were where all the houses were in the mountain was directly behind us, and there was no mistaking it though you could just as plain as they see that thing. And then the one my

44:39 cousin seen was directly off the road as well. But the one my ex husband seen, and it could be the same one. I don't know how many years they live or whatever, but it's just in that little congested area that these us three, well four, because my cousin and seen it too. My cousin that was with me, she's seen it too. But then my other cousin, he's a male, and he was. It was years later, And it was years later when my ex husband saw the one he saw, but he was in the mountains and he didn't. He said that he's never got out of the mountains so quick in all his life.

45:24 Thinking back to when you had your quick sighting, do you remember any details about what you saw. It was kind of peeking around from behind a tree, and it had to stand eight nine feet tall, and it was a lighter color. It wasn't a very it was dark, but like a I would say, like a lot brown color. And it's just it's the scariest. That forehead. It had that big pronounced forehead and it just you know when you the picture you got behind you like that forehead is very similar to but it was more, I feel a lot more big.

46:17 But yeah, it was. It was huge, and it didn't well, we were, just, like I said, twelve twelve years old, so of course it scared us away, but it wasn't scared by us, not one little bit. Sure. 47:01 I'm gonna try to get lesser up here real quick. Dudeh wow, Okay, So to me, those look legit, and I'll tell you why. Right off the bat, it looks like you can see a mid tartl break. Yeah, that was myot too. Yeah, where it gets pushed up, you know what I mean? Yeah, dude, and you can see the toes on the top. I don't know. That looks legit to me, dude. Yeah, yeah, nice. The rock was really hard, like I stomped down. I couldn't even make any sort of indentation in it at all, So whatever did that had to be pretty heavy when you look at it and I pan up towards the river.

47:52 One thing I didn't notice is I think there's a second track, Like if you just look towards the river once once I kind of pan up. When I saw it later, I was kind of like, oh, I think there might be another track. I didn't see it while I was there because I was really focused on this one. But yeah, I mean, definitely definitely could be. But man, that one that you have right there is pretty awesome, good stuff. Thank you for Sharon Man. I think it was around February this year. Yeah, it looks like it was February twentieth of this year at nine to forty eight in the morning, I would guess. Yeah, I was out there for a work assignment taking photos. And yeah, I've had some other weird stuff too, happened kind of like the Bend area and then also up by Mount Saint Helens, but I haven't actually seen one, but definitely had some stuff that I can't really explain, so.

48:44 Just like heard stuff for what kind of things. I go backpacking up by Mount Saint Helens, And so the first time I went up there, and I'm not really going to give the spot away because it's kind of my backpacking spot, but the first time my buddy took me up there, we were hiking up. There was still a little bit of snow on the ground, and we were coming around a corner. It was kind of dusk, that kind of you know blue hour when you can't really see that well, so I go around a corner, I've got my head lamp on and just kind of up this hill like a like a little ridge, I see these two eyes and I'm thinking, like, you know, elk or deer or something. And it was really weird because they went way up in the like in the air, kind of like pointing at me, didn't make a sound, turned away from me, and then just disappeared, no sound whatsoever.

49:37 And the only other thing that I could even like think that it might be was maybe it was an owl that was on the ground and like took off, but it was just so smooth and the way that it kind of got up, I just couldn't see any sort of silhouette or anything is it was just too. Dark, but it was. It was weird. And on that same, uh, that same trip, well, I've gone backpacking by myself. I think I was about ten miles in and I kept whipping around because I kept hearing like what I couldn't It was like talking or mumbling, but I couldn't tell what was being said. And I literally like whipped around multiple times like trying to catch somebody behind me. But when I started hiking up that trail, the other weird thing. There was a huge it looked like a ginormous piece of like human hoop, like right in the middle of the trail. It was probably and I should have taken a picture. I just didn't even think about it. But I mean, it was at least a foot long.

50:39 It was a huge Was it in a pile or was it laid out straight? It was like a log. It was like laid out straight. You were right in the middle of it. Oh my goodness. Yeah. I just thought it was weird that it was right in the middle of the trail. But yeah, so that's kind of that area. And then down near Bend, I photogra this race sometimes it is called the Cascade Lakes Run. It's a two hundred mile relay. But they stopped near the Wikiup Reservoir. But I was there. This must have been two and a half three years ago, but I was. I had my girlfriend at the time with me, and so it's like two or three am and I'm following Google Maps to get to the reservoir, trying to catch up with the runners, and it took me down this weird, weird back road and so my girlfriend just starts flipping out, like like just it was really weird. She got really agitated all of a sudden, and I was just driving trying to get us to the reservoir. And I didn't tell her at the time how I felt, but I had this really weird, like sudden sense of like major dread, like we were in danger, like something bad was gonna happen. And I'm in the woods a lot, I'm on back roads a lot. It doesn't like. It was like a really weird feeling. So the next morning we make it the reservoir eventually, but she tells me she was panicking because she looked out the window and she saw like a light and it

52:11 was weird too. I was like, was it a reflector? Was it like you know, like I was trying to figure out what it was, but she said it was like about the size of a softball, and it was just like a glowing ball, and then it moved up and into the trees, and she's like, I don't know how you didn't see it, and I was like, I didn't see it. And then I asked her where it happened, and the place that she said it happened was the same spot that I said that was exactly where I felt like we were in danger or something. So it was just a weird I don't know what it was and I didn't see it. But she's not one to uh make something up like that. Dude. You you have been in some great areas and also had some weird stuff happen. That's awesome. Wow, thank you for sharing that.

53:36 Sir? I wanted to share a story with you that me and my wife experience here where we live at about a week or two ago, where we we got kids here in the house. We live in a smaller recurdive park where it's really nice. I hear play shuts down like eight o'clock. But uh, me and my wife were smokers. We go outside and smoke. I built some benches out there for us to sit down and relax. And Uh, one night, if she's talking to me, I hear something going on behind the house and here you hear small branches breaking, and uh, the next thing I know, without my wife, you know, quiet down to hear something and it's not nothing new down here, and nobody really talks about it here at the park that it was close to where the woods are, and uh, all of a sudden you hear, Uh it was a dog. I'm thinking it was a coyote that was back there also.

54:56 But then all of a sudden you hear a snapping the limb, big lamp breaking, and it's just moving through through the back area really quick. And next thing we know, we hear this kayo or dog whimper. And it was It was really kind of sad, but I think it became dinner because you hear just you hear fleshed ripping open, you hear enters hit in the ground. Yeah, it was crazy, and uh, the weirdest part about it was it started making this noise. It kind of reminded me of those old I don't know if you remember, these old plastic tubes that used to swirl around in the circle and to make that noise, right yep, And uh, it was kind of a more of a leveled sound. And it's just something we couldn't get over. It's something we never forgot.

56:09 But we heard that in just the last few weeks. We're just discussing, you know, what was that. I don't you know, we knew it was something breaking limbs high and it, like I said, it rushed through the real quick and I couldn't believe how fast it was. And like I said, it ended it, you know, making this weird noise. But not very long ago, a couple of days ago, we got a dog part across the creek where we're at, and the creek's probably about fifteen foot deep, spots twenty foot deep, and that's you know, ground level going down to where the creek is. It floods out every time it rains hard down here. But we're out one night and I see this so big walking towards just a dog park over there, and there was the big maple tree out there and it's got a it's got a fork on one of the big branches out there, and uh, I see it, walk up to it. It just completely rip one of the fourths down to the ground.

57:24 And my wife like, you hear that, I'm looking at it right now, and I couldn't believe it. So I was like, I said, I'm gonna get out there in the morning and see how really biggest branches it went out there in America, it was about fourteen inches around, but it tore from a it was the biggest branch up there, and it tore about four foot all the way down. And uh, that happened on Saturday night, about eleven eleven thirty. But there's a lot of strain stuff going on around here. You know, it gets quiet out here, really.

58:07 We hear the crickets and all these animals that night and then it just goes straight quiet. So it was, yeah, it was kind of unreal, you know. And when when we when we had our kid, our youngest kid is what it was is he was in the yuqu hospital and I was working late, so I was getting home late. So my wife would go up here to the muqu hospital see the baby. She come home having experienced driving back. She was traveling down Sooner Road and she come to the stop sign and it was dark. This is before we started putting buildings up over there, and uh, she said, all she saw she was with my younger daughter or my oldest daughter now, but uh she was. She came to the stop sign and she said all she s all was just something step in the road. And she said, oh she saw was legs and the legs were like really hairy, but they were like a reddish color but not real thick because it was during summertime. And uh, she was afraid. And she's calling me, asking me where do I go because she didn't know the area that well.

59:23 I remember what's going on. She goes, I just saw sitping the road, and I'm so scared. She's crying. She's almost hysterical, and uh and I told her how to get back home and jump back on the highway to get straight home. And I was her experience with it, and the person one I tell you about me and her was together. But I'm I'm a truck driver and I always saw signs for boggy Creek going out to Obert, Oklahoma, and I decided to I was working nights, so I've decided to pull over take a picture of the science. I remember Balky Creek, you know, I mean I got there to take a picture. It's it's like at one o'clock in the morning, just pitch black out there. So I go out there and it's a there's a you know, buggy creek, there's a bridge. So I go taking a picture and I go to snap another picture and I hear a baby crying in the distance, you know, like wait a minute, and uh I heard that, and I instantly got tells. The hair on the back of my head was standing of us. Said I think it's time to go, and uh it got quiet, and I ran back to my truck. Doesn't semi took off. I just I couldn't do it, you know. It was it was kind of weird, you know, it was kind of scary.

1:00:53 But that was just wanting to share my experience with you, that's all. It was really crazy, especially here. Thank you for sharing what you guys are going through. I can hear it in your voice that it's really affected you. Would you be able to share the general area you're in. I might be able to get someone that that could help you. Guys, that was out here in a we're by a military base. It's Oklahoma City, but it's eastern Oklahoma. We're by a base called Tinker Air Force Base.

I know you've heard, like there's weird stuff that goes on around Tinker Air Force Base. Oh my goodness, I gotta I gotta retired shift from all that that worked there. I used to try to with her. She wouldn't say nothing, but now she retires. But well, you know what goes on over them after you got and what goes on that place is crazy. It's wild from okay, so active.

Yeah, there's a I've been out to where it hangs around. I didn't go back deep into where it's at. There's a fence that's got to open, and you can go back and you can see a wide trail. I mean, you know when people walk down the trail and there's usually a skinny trail. This is a wide trail, like two three foot wide, where there's definitely a trail back there. Gotcha, gotcha? You know, so from the time I was a little kid, my grandma always talked about something. She always talked about something called red eyes, and it used to scariest kids to death. You know, she had one of those big yard lights. We're out way out in the middle of the country, gravel roads and stuff like that. The thing was always, you know, all boys, better get back in the house where red Eyes get you. When when that light comes on in the yard, you best get your butt back in the house. O red Eyes was going to get you. Granny was really adamant about that. So here's going on, Like we always wondered what red Eyes was.

1:04:49 I was told a story by my cousins when I was a kid about getting pulled in a wagon, like one of those little, you know, pull on little red wagons. They pulled me down to the creek, down to the end of the road, and apparently they seen red Eyes in the creek and run off and left me there. I have a little bit of a memory about that, like them leaving me. I've never seen red Eyes, but I seen them run, so of course I'll run off after him. That's just a little backstory. Should either should either say red eyes or or a booger is gonna get you. It's either red eyes are a booger. Never thought anything of it until I got older. But the whole bigfoot I got into the little bigfoot thing, you know, watching the shows and everything like that. It was interesting.

1:05:52 Never paid too much attention to it. We grew up hunting our whole lives. You know, every every kid in Georgia does. I mean, if you were raised right, you know, you go out hunting squirrels, you hunt deer and everything like that. Was all raised in the woods. Nothing ever bothered me. Everything was fine. Well, one day I'm maybe eighteen nineteen years old, and I'm driving in the middle of nowhere. I mean, if anybody here listen, if they know Oglethorpe County, Oglethorpe County, you can get like way out there. It's like nothing, but there's a small little town like Crawford and stuff like that. But it's out in the middle of nowhere. You can get out there.

1:06:45 You can ride dirt rays forever. So I was driving one day on the other side of Oglethorpe County, on the other side of Crawford and not thinking anything of it. Driving there's nothing but dirt roads. To my left. I'm on one paved road that goes to what's that town. It's not even a town, it's a little place in the middle of nowhere. Anyway, driving down there, and I glance over and I see, my brain tells me, is a black man, I guess, in a hoodie, barefoot, walking down a dirt road away from me. Mind you, is the middle of summer, and at this time it's almost one hundred degrees in Georgia. And after I thought about it for a little while, I was like, that doesn't seem right. A black man in all black and a hoodie on, and I can see the bottom of his feet on a dirt road in the middle of nowhere.

1:07:58 So that's just as midget of little story that I got. I'm trying to rush through this because you know, I'm not trying to waste time or anything. Okay, fast forward, I'll say, I think it might have been two thousand and let's see two thousand and twenty two or twenty three. Me and my buddy playing a hunting trip. Not a hunting trip, I take that act. We're just wanting to get out and take the kids out in our and our girls John like, it still makes me nervous.

1:08:40 Sorry, But. So it's me and my buddy, his girlfriend and my girlfriend or his wife to say, my girlfriend, and. We go. To just try to pitch a tint and take the kids out, you know, take them out in nature, have some fune for a night or whatever. Go to pitch a tent. And this is in a place not far from Oglethorpe County is in the wm A Wildlife Management Area. Okay, it's around Maxi, Georgia. I mean you can look it up surrounding that area. So we're out there, we're having a good time. We make a fire, we're starting to set up the tent. But we realized the tent that we bought that they just sold us a box pretty much with some stuff in it. It's not the full tent.

1:09:48 So we send the girls back. Of course, they go to Walmart or wherever it was. But we have I have my son, which was maybe seven eight. I can have him come on and tell you the situation too. He still remembers it like it is yesterday. But have my son and my daughter, and my girlfriend at the time has her daughter, and then my buddy has his wife and his two sons. So just us and the kids. Kids are playing and everything. So they get back with a tent. We're setting a tent up. About that time, it's getting really dark, but we have the fire going, the kids are having fun and everything, and then like some I'll give you the backstory on my buddy and me.

1:10:46 We've been friends since we were maybe eleven twelve years old, and we grew up hunting. We've hunted everything. We've been to bear hunting together. You're hunting. We know everything in the woods. Grew up in the woods. Everybody wrote it. We like, there's nothing to do around here. You can't go to the mall. We don't have a mall. Our closest mall is in Athens and there's nothing there. Like it's almost completely shut down. I know, all right. So we're sitting there in the middle of woods. Yeah, it's a little place called Turkey Neck and there's nothing around and it's not hunting season. I think turkey season has had just begun. But we're not turkey hunting or anything.

1:11:36 I did have a pump shotgun in the car. This will come into play a little bit later, but anyway, we're setting up. We're having fun. My buddy, he's a big guy, he's way bigger than me. He's a huge, big bearded dude. Been in the woods all his life. We're sitting there doing our thing, having fun. And we hear some cracking in the woods, not thinking nothing of it. We know what possums sound like. We know what armadilla sound like. Armadillas sound really loud coming through the woods. They can make some noise. Deer, we know it. Bears sound like. There's not many bear. There are bear, but there's not many of them. But you know bear. You can tell they like pop their jaws.

1:12:24 They do that whole thing. Bores. We know what they sound like. Wild pigs all that I got them around the house like right now, like we know, everything sounds like we've been in the woods our whole life. I cannot stress that enough. But something started breaking twigs and rustling. Sounds like somebody's walking through the woods. And by this time it's pitch black. We got a fire going, it's dark. We chalk it off as being just animal, whatever whatever it may be. But it keeps getting closer, and it keeps getting louder and about louder. I mean like it's breaking limbs and it's snapping, and it's beating and it's I don't know, it sounds like it's getting really aggressive. We know it's not a bear.

I guess we thought it was somebody messing with us, like because it's coming, like it keeps coming closer and closer, and it's banging stuff and this breaking limbs, like snapping off limbs. Bear I mean, yeah, they can break some limbs other animals. Yeah, they sound loud in the woods if you're scared. But we know everything out there. But this thing was breaking limbs, and it's getting closer and closer, and it is dark at this time, and we're on this embank at the edge of this embankment. It's like a cliff next to us.

1:14:14 So like it gets really intense, like it's coming towards like crack, crack bang bang like crack, tear rip, Like it's intense. And in between the time, I like, the girls have gotten all the kids in the car, and but we had two vehicles. There are two trucks, so they got the vehicle, they got the kids in the vehicles. All the kids are crying, the girls are crying. It's this intense and somewhere in between, I pull out a you know, a pump, you know what I mean. I pull that out just it's hard to explain. I pulled that out and we're standing there expecting at any time something to bust to those tree lines. But at the same time, in the back of our head, we think that it's somebody's messing with us, like they're trying to run us out of here. I mean, like, but it gets so intent. So let me put it this way.

1:15:24 It's me and him, and he's a big guy, and I've never seen him so scared, and he's probably never seen me so scared. And all the kids are in the car crying. My son, I can have him tell you about it. He was the only one to be out of the vehicle at that time because he's just curious and he's not scared of anything. But this thing is coming through the tree line. So I raise up that pump right and just to make that sound that it makes. It's universal. It goes chum, you know. And the whole time my buddy says stop, stop, stop, please stop, and I'm gonna stop stop stop, we will, you know, let one off. It sounds like something was in my mind, something was about to come off that embankment and land in our temporary homemade camp site. Something was going to land in the middle of it. I was waiting for something to bust through that tree line. So I make that universal sound, that chop chop, and it didn't stop coming.

1:16:30 And I'm ignorant, so you know, I'm just trying to make the sound. I don't realize there's one already in there. So the jects one on the ground that was dumb. So my buddy looks at me. He is pale, white, scared to death. We've heard every animal in the woods. We've been bear hunting together, you know. In the middle of nowhere, he snatches it from me and put and shoulders it and he's still yelling stop, stop stop. It never stops, and I'm about to pass out, thinking that this thing is coming off this embankment, about to land in our campsite. It's really intense. But right when it reaches the edge of the edge of the campsite, the edge of this little cliff that's in front of us, it just stops and there's no more sound. And we're standing there like waiting, like what's going to happen? Now, We're sitting there waiting waiting. Nothing happens. It goes dead silent.

1:17:37 Everywhere everything around us is dead silent. And he packs up his stuff and the girl that I was with at she packs up all of our stuff. They're like, we're out of here. I wanted to wait for a few, but they're like, nah, I mean we did wait for a few. They're all sitting in the car, and this last part it was just me out there. Everybody else is in the car, the cars are running, they're ready to go. I'm sitting here listening because I want to know what this is because we've heard every animal in the woods. I've never heard anything like this, anything break limbs like that. Anything that breaks limbs like that has to have hands or it has to be a person, but it's got to be a big person. Yep, there's somebody determined to get us out of there, which is not hunting season. It was the very beginning of turkey season.

1:18:32 There's no turkey hunters that's going to be in there. This was like at this time, eleven thirty, twelve o'clock at night. So anyway, they're in the car and I'm sitting there listening. Everything's super quiet, but it sounds like at the edge of the woods. I start hearing something again, but it sounds like something's quietly, just quietly, but like trying to be quiet, but not really like just moving away, like it stopped there observed for a while, and then was like all right, you know, and like you could hear the something getting stepped on, like it's slowly backing up and moving away and walking off. All right. So that was the experience. But months later, my buddy that was with me, he sends me an article that was in a magazine you can look at. I wanted to find this to send it to you before I told you the story, but I mean, I have a lot going on here in the day, so right now it's the time I wanted to send it to you. There's an article in this magazine. I don't know if it's the GEO N Georgia Outdoors News. I don't know if it's that. It might not be, but there's an article he sent to me a little while later, and it

1:20:05 was a hunter. They were sitting in his stand and witnessed two bigfoot stas watched whatever you want to call come down a trail in front of him. He was bow hunting, come down a trail, not notice he was there for a minute, and then finally look up at the tree and noticed that he was in the tree and they noticed him and they turned around and walked the opposite direction the way they come in. And he was like, dude, look at the the look at where he was at, the area he was in, and it was the exact same area that we were camping in that night. So yeah, it was that's pretty It was pretty cool. I don't know take it how you take it, but I thought it was pretty cool. Like he was like, you would never believe this.

Yes, that's where we're at, the experience Experimental Forest. There's a w m A yeah, okay, mm hmm, that's where we're at. So there's a skull shoals right there. Yep, you'll see skull shoals and there's yeah, there's a little spot that everybody calls Turkey Neck. We've been hunting since we were kids around there. But yeah, that's awesome. Oh my goodness, that is that is an extremely intense account. Thank you for sharing that.

But he's actually he's actually got pictures and everything with him and Matt Moneymaker. He went on trips with the b F R O and he's got some pretty cool stories too, And he's told me a bunch that were pretty cool. And he swears up and down that here in the same area that he's witnessed one crossing the fence line and collected hair, had the hairs off. He actually for Christmas, when you're gifted me some of the hair that he collected.
