A quiet evening hike through Hueston Woods State Park in Ohio left Olivia with more questions than answers.

While exploring the Big Woods Trail near sunset, she noticed unusual tree formations, a sudden silence in the forest, rustling movement off the trail, and an overwhelming feeling that something was watching her. The experience stayed with her long after she returned home. When she reviewed her footage, she discovered something unexpected hidden among the trees.

The story didn't end there.

A BFRO investigator later visited the location and reportedly found large footprints near the same area. Olivia returned multiple times herself, uncovering additional tracks and gathering more evidence from a location that may hold a history of unexplained activity.

She also shares an earlier nighttime experience from the same park near Acton Lake, where an unseen presence moved through dense vegetation and appeared to approach her position after dark.

Could these events be connected? What is happening in one of Ohio's most popular state parks?

Join us as Olivia shares her firsthand experiences from Hueston Woods and explains why she plans to continue searching for answers.

00:00:08.439 --> 00:00:12.759
seen something impossible. From backwoods trails and remote mountain haulers

5
00:00:12.800 --> 00:00:16.719
to quiet farms and crowded highways. The stories come from everywhere,

6
00:00:16.760 --> 00:00:19.719
and each one leaves us with more questions than answers.

14
00:00:44.119 --> 00:00:46.439
for Society get the privilege of talking to Olivia today.

15
00:00:46.520 --> 00:00:49.119
Olivia is an individual that reached out to me about

16
00:00:49.399 --> 00:00:53.679
an interesting thing that was captured on video out there

17
00:00:53.679 --> 00:01:01.039
in Ohio. Correct, Olivia, Awesome, Thank you for coming onto

18
00:01:01.119 --> 00:01:02.479
the show today. How are you doing today?

19
00:01:02.880 --> 00:01:03.840
I'm good? How about you.

20
00:01:05.680 --> 00:01:09.000
Doing well? Doing well? Kind of a hot day in Iowa,

21
00:01:09.840 --> 00:01:13.799
but not too bad. You can't complain, so yeah, I've

22
00:01:13.840 --> 00:01:17.480
watched the video on your YouTube channel. It is really

23
00:01:17.480 --> 00:01:19.719
interesting and I'll have it linked in the show notes

24
00:01:19.799 --> 00:01:23.879
so listeners can go over there and check it out.

25
00:01:23.959 --> 00:01:27.840
But do you mind walking us through what you experienced

26
00:01:27.840 --> 00:01:34.200
that day that you had that you had captured on film.

27
00:01:34.239 --> 00:01:38.280
So I'll start from the beginning of that day. So

28
00:01:38.359 --> 00:01:41.879
my boyfriend and I went to hiking about an hour

29
00:01:41.920 --> 00:01:46.280
before sunset. We just want to getting a quick hike

30
00:01:46.359 --> 00:01:50.120
that day. I was starting a YouTube channel. I started

31
00:01:50.760 --> 00:01:54.920
from this recording about like a month ago. So I

32
00:01:55.120 --> 00:01:59.400
decided to film the hike. And I usually just film

33
00:01:59.400 --> 00:02:02.640
my hike. Sometimes my boyfriend comes with me, sometimes he doesn't.

34
00:02:03.599 --> 00:02:07.519
And so we go to a state park. We live

35
00:02:07.599 --> 00:02:12.919
near houston Wood State Park in Preble and Butler County, Ohio,

36
00:02:13.800 --> 00:02:16.439
and the part we were in was in Preeble County

37
00:02:17.039 --> 00:02:22.879
on the Big Woods Trail slash Hadge Apple Trail, And

38
00:02:23.360 --> 00:02:27.000
so we get there, we park our car. So we

39
00:02:27.080 --> 00:02:29.919
park our car in the parking lot and we head

40
00:02:29.960 --> 00:02:33.520
to the trail, and right off the bat we noticed

41
00:02:33.639 --> 00:02:37.159
a bunch of trees in the trail that were cut down,

42
00:02:38.639 --> 00:02:41.400
or not cut down, but knock down. And then there's

43
00:02:41.520 --> 00:02:44.120
other trees on the side of the trail that were

44
00:02:44.680 --> 00:02:47.919
cut with a chainsaw then moved to the side, as

45
00:02:47.960 --> 00:02:50.680
if trees just fall on that trail all the time,

46
00:02:51.639 --> 00:02:56.599
and so I make we make note of that it's

47
00:02:56.680 --> 00:02:59.520
not a big deal, Like it's pretty forested on that

48
00:02:59.599 --> 00:03:04.680
trail specifically, so I don't really pay much mind to it.

49
00:03:06.120 --> 00:03:10.080
And then further long in the hike, there's more trees down.

50
00:03:10.560 --> 00:03:12.840
But the thing is the one tree that was down,

51
00:03:13.599 --> 00:03:16.879
it was like a not like a young pine tree,

52
00:03:16.919 --> 00:03:19.840
but like a it seems like a healthy one that

53
00:03:20.080 --> 00:03:23.639
just slumped over, and when it fell, it took down

54
00:03:23.639 --> 00:03:26.319
a bunch of other trees, so it was blocking the trail.

55
00:03:27.159 --> 00:03:30.080
And all around that area where that pine tree was

56
00:03:30.159 --> 00:03:37.159
knocked down, there was like y shaped trees with other

57
00:03:37.280 --> 00:03:41.560
smaller trees wedged into the in between the trunks of

58
00:03:41.599 --> 00:03:44.759
the tree. And then there was another y sheep tree.

59
00:03:44.759 --> 00:03:48.159
It was a pretty large branch that was almost off

60
00:03:48.240 --> 00:03:52.599
the ground, off the ground, wedged into the tree. And

61
00:03:53.759 --> 00:03:57.919
we also noticed like a pair of sticks in the

62
00:03:58.000 --> 00:04:01.240
shape of an ax next to all the down trees,

63
00:04:02.039 --> 00:04:04.719
And I'm like, huh, that is very weird for all

64
00:04:04.840 --> 00:04:08.240
those things to be happening in such a small area,

65
00:04:09.120 --> 00:04:13.560
but I figured, like it's a popular park, especially using

66
00:04:13.599 --> 00:04:17.680
the semester because it's Miami University like ten minutes from here,

67
00:04:18.079 --> 00:04:19.959
so I figured, like a lot of people come here.

68
00:04:20.480 --> 00:04:24.000
But like some of the trees were way too large

69
00:04:24.639 --> 00:04:28.720
for a person to do that to like budget them

70
00:04:28.759 --> 00:04:31.959
in between the trunks of other trees. But you know,

71
00:04:33.680 --> 00:04:35.800
I may not notice that in the video, but I

72
00:04:35.879 --> 00:04:40.639
never like worried about it too much. And then we

73
00:04:41.079 --> 00:04:45.040
loop around the trail because the trail goes straight and

74
00:04:45.199 --> 00:04:48.759
loops around and then goes back where it came from.

75
00:04:49.079 --> 00:04:53.319
And then along the trail when we were coming back

76
00:04:53.360 --> 00:04:56.639
from the loop, we noticed there was like a stick structure,

77
00:04:57.319 --> 00:04:59.680
like almost like a nusting shape right on the side

78
00:04:59.720 --> 00:05:03.839
of the trail, And I didn't really pay much attention

79
00:05:03.920 --> 00:05:06.800
to it, just because it was right next to the trail,

80
00:05:06.839 --> 00:05:09.639
and I'm like, oh, well, anyone can made it, but

81
00:05:09.720 --> 00:05:11.920
it's kind of weird you would make this right next

82
00:05:11.920 --> 00:05:14.399
to the trail if it was a person that made it,

83
00:05:14.680 --> 00:05:17.560
which I'm sure it was a person, but it was

84
00:05:17.639 --> 00:05:22.920
just very unusual where they had it. And then we

85
00:05:22.920 --> 00:05:26.639
were walking back, we were in the area with the

86
00:05:27.079 --> 00:05:31.360
down trees, and the stick structures, and then I noticed

87
00:05:31.600 --> 00:05:36.720
it was silent, like the birds weren't singing, and the

88
00:05:36.759 --> 00:05:39.560
only thing we heard was one crow that caught a

89
00:05:39.560 --> 00:05:42.160
few times, and then that was it. There was just silent.

90
00:05:43.079 --> 00:05:47.560
So I'm looking around and I don't see anything, and

91
00:05:48.360 --> 00:05:52.160
I'm filming with my iPhone and I don't see anything

92
00:05:52.439 --> 00:05:56.240
at all. So but I did hear rustling a bit

93
00:05:56.639 --> 00:05:59.600
when we were heading away, so I'm still looking in

94
00:05:59.680 --> 00:06:03.079
that but I don't see anything at all. And then

95
00:06:05.279 --> 00:06:10.040
shortly after we heard that rustling and we were walking

96
00:06:10.120 --> 00:06:12.920
back out of the trail, I just had that overwhelming

97
00:06:12.959 --> 00:06:18.040
sensation like I was being washed. And my experience of hiking,

98
00:06:18.160 --> 00:06:21.319
because I've hiked a hundreds of miles in the state

99
00:06:21.360 --> 00:06:24.519
of Ohio, I learned that whenever you get that feeling

100
00:06:24.600 --> 00:06:30.079
of being washed, it's a it's like an evolutionary adaptations

101
00:06:30.120 --> 00:06:34.000
that humans have if they saw a predator or anything,

102
00:06:34.600 --> 00:06:39.360
but they didn't process it in their mind. And so

103
00:06:41.000 --> 00:06:43.399
I was a little more freaked out because I knew

104
00:06:43.399 --> 00:06:49.519
what it meant. And so we get out of the trail,

105
00:06:50.120 --> 00:06:54.600
we go home. I'm reviewing the footage exactly where it

106
00:06:54.759 --> 00:07:00.079
was silent, and then I'm not really seeing anything, so

107
00:07:00.120 --> 00:07:02.319
he zooming on my phone a bit, and then I

108
00:07:02.360 --> 00:07:04.639
see like, A I can't tell if it was like

109
00:07:04.839 --> 00:07:07.959
at the time where it was like a head or

110
00:07:09.160 --> 00:07:16.519
shoulders peeking behind right right by beside like a crooked tree,

111
00:07:16.920 --> 00:07:20.879
and a and like a sapling that was in like

112
00:07:20.959 --> 00:07:25.319
the most unfortunate spot possible, so I will not have

113
00:07:25.360 --> 00:07:28.600
been able to see to see what it was very well.

114
00:07:29.480 --> 00:07:32.959
And then and I'm like, oh, that's weird. Maybe it

115
00:07:33.040 --> 00:07:35.199
was a camera artifact. So I put it on my

116
00:07:35.240 --> 00:07:39.000
computer when I'm editing the video, and I look even

117
00:07:39.079 --> 00:07:44.319
closer and in the in the on zooms version, and

118
00:07:44.439 --> 00:07:47.839
when I looked, you could still see something moving in

119
00:07:47.920 --> 00:07:52.800
between the crooked tree and the in the sapling. So

120
00:07:53.439 --> 00:07:57.079
the crooked tree was about like fifty hundred feet away

121
00:07:57.120 --> 00:08:00.000
from the trail, so it wasn't very far. So I figured,

122
00:08:00.079 --> 00:08:02.920
you're like, I would have seen, like I definitely would

123
00:08:02.920 --> 00:08:05.439
have seen what it was if it was closer or

124
00:08:05.560 --> 00:08:08.959
that close. So I assumed it was a lot farther away,

125
00:08:09.279 --> 00:08:12.720
but just how it was placed looks like it was

126
00:08:14.680 --> 00:08:20.759
it was like right there, but I wasn't very sure

127
00:08:20.839 --> 00:08:23.680
to make of it. So I sent it into the

128
00:08:23.879 --> 00:08:27.560
BFROL and they actually sent a guy out to Houston

129
00:08:27.639 --> 00:08:31.720
Woods and when he looked, he said there was nothing

130
00:08:31.800 --> 00:08:34.600
there that it could have been other than either a

131
00:08:34.600 --> 00:08:38.039
person or a bigfoot or a bear. The thing is

132
00:08:38.080 --> 00:08:41.200
in the county I live in, in the county where

133
00:08:41.279 --> 00:08:44.840
Houston Woods is. There have not been any black bear

134
00:08:44.919 --> 00:08:49.919
sightings in this area, if I'm not mistaken, in a

135
00:08:49.960 --> 00:08:56.240
few years, if any other time. And while the BFRL

136
00:08:56.399 --> 00:09:00.919
member was here, he found footprints in the pretty large

137
00:09:00.919 --> 00:09:07.399
footprints in the area where I took the video and

138
00:09:07.399 --> 00:09:09.639
and what the six structures were.

139
00:09:11.519 --> 00:09:14.159
Okay, that's cool, that is really cool. What was the

140
00:09:14.840 --> 00:09:16.720
date of this again?

141
00:09:17.000 --> 00:09:24.080
Yeah, it was this year. It was it was May fourteenth.

142
00:09:24.200 --> 00:09:26.559
I think it was a Thursday.

143
00:09:27.200 --> 00:09:33.799
Okay, gotcha. How I would assume the rep from the

144
00:09:33.840 --> 00:09:40.559
vf O did did they get did they that's the word?

145
00:09:42.320 --> 00:09:46.279
Did they get measurements of the footprints that they found.

146
00:09:47.120 --> 00:09:50.840
I don't know exactly how big the footprints the one

147
00:09:50.879 --> 00:09:53.440
guy found, but I went he said when he was there,

148
00:09:53.480 --> 00:09:56.600
I could go up there with him. And I found

149
00:09:56.600 --> 00:10:01.320
a footprint myself, and it was hard to make out

150
00:10:01.399 --> 00:10:03.559
how big it was, but it was between like ten

151
00:10:03.759 --> 00:10:09.399
and four pick thirteen inches or fourteen inches. It was

152
00:10:09.440 --> 00:10:12.399
just the ground was like very awful quality because it

153
00:10:12.399 --> 00:10:13.480
wind rained all day.

154
00:10:13.639 --> 00:10:19.399
So, right, were you able to see more than one

155
00:10:19.440 --> 00:10:22.399
footprint or I guess you kind of said that you

156
00:10:22.480 --> 00:10:23.919
both had found footprints.

157
00:10:24.039 --> 00:10:27.840
So yeah, I found one footprint that day. I went

158
00:10:27.879 --> 00:10:31.919
there with him, and then he found like three to

159
00:10:32.000 --> 00:10:34.480
five more I can't remember exactly, but he casted one

160
00:10:34.519 --> 00:10:36.240
of them and he cast it to one I found.

161
00:10:40.080 --> 00:10:42.919
Oh, that's awesome. Was this a thing that I don't

162
00:10:42.919 --> 00:10:45.519
believe this was published on their website?

163
00:10:45.639 --> 00:10:50.080
Was it? It has not been published yet. I messaged

164
00:10:50.200 --> 00:10:56.240
the guy today and he said it is if it

165
00:10:56.279 --> 00:10:59.960
does get published soon. He said he had to report

166
00:11:00.080 --> 00:11:04.639
done last week, so so I don't know if it's

167
00:11:04.639 --> 00:11:04.919
gonna be.

168
00:11:05.039 --> 00:11:07.840
Oh that's awesome, very cool. I know they've got they've

169
00:11:07.879 --> 00:11:13.759
got a lot of stuff they're looking into right now. Yeah. Yeah,

170
00:11:14.559 --> 00:11:18.559
something I I noticed when I was looking at the

171
00:11:18.600 --> 00:11:23.440
map for this state park. So, are you on there's

172
00:11:23.480 --> 00:11:26.200
like the big lake, there's Acton Lake. Are you on

173
00:11:26.279 --> 00:11:28.080
the east or the west side of the lake?

174
00:11:29.639 --> 00:11:33.799
I'm on the western side.

175
00:11:34.759 --> 00:11:38.399
Awesome. And then is this over by the campground.

176
00:11:38.840 --> 00:11:41.200
It's it's just south of the.

177
00:11:41.159 --> 00:11:48.279
Campground, okay, because I noticed that if you go to

178
00:11:48.799 --> 00:11:52.240
like the far west side of the campground, there's actually

179
00:11:52.440 --> 00:11:58.360
a Indian mound over there, Yeah, which is really cool.

180
00:11:58.919 --> 00:12:06.080
Sometimes you see those kind of appear in the same

181
00:12:06.120 --> 00:12:10.639
area where you have Native American Indian mounds and then

182
00:12:11.879 --> 00:12:18.200
potential Bigfoot activity as well. But that's that's really cool.

183
00:12:18.240 --> 00:12:20.840
Have you been back to this area besides going back

184
00:12:20.879 --> 00:12:23.279
with the BFL representative, Yeah.

185
00:12:23.240 --> 00:12:28.840
I went back twice. So I went back before I

186
00:12:28.879 --> 00:12:33.639
contacted the BFL just to like see for myself if

187
00:12:33.679 --> 00:12:38.879
I could find anything. But I couldn't really figure it out,

188
00:12:39.039 --> 00:12:42.200
like if there was anything that it could have been.

189
00:12:42.559 --> 00:12:45.919
But I did find out that you, like, I take

190
00:12:45.960 --> 00:12:48.600
a video of me what I was doing, and even

191
00:12:48.639 --> 00:12:51.279
though I might have got the measurement wrong because I

192
00:12:51.279 --> 00:12:55.240
said it was like seven or eight feet, possibly it

193
00:12:55.279 --> 00:12:57.679
could have been smaller. It was very hard to make

194
00:12:57.720 --> 00:13:02.159
out depending how far it was. And the thing is,

195
00:13:02.399 --> 00:13:06.799
I wore a purple shirt net video, so even with

196
00:13:06.879 --> 00:13:10.039
me wearing a brightly colored shirt and how far back

197
00:13:10.080 --> 00:13:13.159
I was, I was very hard to spot on the

198
00:13:13.159 --> 00:13:16.320
camera anyway, So I figured like it would be hard

199
00:13:16.399 --> 00:13:18.519
to spot me. Like if it was hard to spot

200
00:13:18.559 --> 00:13:21.679
me in a purple shirt, it would probably be even

201
00:13:21.720 --> 00:13:25.039
more difficult to use something that's all black or brown

202
00:13:25.039 --> 00:13:29.840
in color too. And then the last time I went again,

203
00:13:30.000 --> 00:13:33.720
I went two days ago, and I found more footprints.

204
00:13:33.960 --> 00:13:37.679
The one I found was ten inches long. But the

205
00:13:37.720 --> 00:13:40.320
weird thing is the footprint had like two or three

206
00:13:40.360 --> 00:13:42.679
toes on it, so I don't know if it's just

207
00:13:43.080 --> 00:13:47.759
an indent or what else it was. And then I

208
00:13:47.799 --> 00:13:50.840
did find two more footprints a little bit farther away,

209
00:13:50.960 --> 00:13:57.960
and they're about like thirteen inches thirteen inches long, so

210
00:13:58.000 --> 00:14:01.200
it was in range to be a but they were

211
00:14:01.360 --> 00:14:05.000
very deep in the ground, like a few inches.

212
00:14:06.759 --> 00:14:09.759
The video is very interesting, you know, when you when

213
00:14:09.799 --> 00:14:13.519
you combine it in with the video that you that

214
00:14:13.600 --> 00:14:16.600
you took on your channel, it is it is a

215
00:14:16.639 --> 00:14:19.240
really interesting than it's cool that they got that they

216
00:14:19.279 --> 00:14:24.360
sent someone out to investigate it. Have you heard any

217
00:14:24.399 --> 00:14:28.960
other things happening in this park? Any other reports of

218
00:14:30.440 --> 00:14:33.279
other people having sightings or encounters?

219
00:14:33.960 --> 00:14:39.120
Actually online, I couldn't find anything. But when the BFR

220
00:14:39.320 --> 00:14:42.080
member came, he showed me a map on his phone

221
00:14:42.120 --> 00:14:45.519
that they had ugly ports in the area too, like

222
00:14:45.559 --> 00:14:48.519
in the same park. And the weird thing is I

223
00:14:48.559 --> 00:14:52.879
had another I did have something else weird happened to

224
00:14:52.879 --> 00:14:55.679
me a few years ago when I was in the

225
00:14:55.720 --> 00:14:58.440
same area. So two years ago, I think an the

226
00:14:58.440 --> 00:15:01.080
original email I put twenty two twenty three, I meant

227
00:15:01.120 --> 00:15:03.960
twenty twenty four. It must have posted on button. He's like,

228
00:15:04.080 --> 00:15:07.720
send it late at night. But so I went stargazing

229
00:15:08.120 --> 00:15:11.960
with a friend in May of twenty twenty four. And

230
00:15:12.720 --> 00:15:15.600
so we get there around sunset, so just before sunset

231
00:15:15.679 --> 00:15:19.159
with then like I don't know, twenty minutes, and as

232
00:15:19.200 --> 00:15:23.720
they were starting to get dark from the so describe

233
00:15:24.320 --> 00:15:27.200
where we were. We were at the parking lot at

234
00:15:27.240 --> 00:15:31.440
the Maple Grove picnic area, and then it's like a

235
00:15:31.559 --> 00:15:36.399
road two bolt both of parking spaces, and then like

236
00:15:36.399 --> 00:15:41.320
the circle of like you turn around in and farther

237
00:15:41.440 --> 00:15:45.399
back there's like a like a slight clearing g aias

238
00:15:45.440 --> 00:15:49.519
of picnic tables, and then there's like like a line,

239
00:15:49.919 --> 00:15:52.759
like a pretty thick line of woods and a slope,

240
00:15:53.639 --> 00:15:56.120
and then it leads to another parking lot where the

241
00:15:56.159 --> 00:16:03.080
beaches on acting On Acton Lake. And what happened was,

242
00:16:03.320 --> 00:16:06.240
as they're starting to get dark, we heard something walking

243
00:16:06.399 --> 00:16:12.840
in the in between the parking lots, coming from the

244
00:16:12.879 --> 00:16:16.759
north side, and at first we saw nothing of it,

245
00:16:16.879 --> 00:16:19.360
like just plenty of animals that live in the in

246
00:16:19.440 --> 00:16:24.440
the park. And and then then the weird thing is

247
00:16:25.279 --> 00:16:29.559
whatever it was almost got a bipedal in motion. So

248
00:16:29.600 --> 00:16:35.440
I tried looking to see what it was, and of

249
00:16:35.480 --> 00:16:39.440
course it's just sloped and it was may where that happens.

250
00:16:39.600 --> 00:16:42.279
It was there was too much vegetation, so I couldn't

251
00:16:42.279 --> 00:16:45.200
see anything, and it was starting to get dark, so

252
00:16:45.240 --> 00:16:47.879
it was it was even darker in the in the

253
00:16:48.039 --> 00:16:52.879
forested area. And then so whatever it was in there,

254
00:16:52.919 --> 00:16:55.799
I couldn't see. There's just no way I could have

255
00:16:55.919 --> 00:17:01.600
spotted anything. And then as there was moving south from

256
00:17:01.639 --> 00:17:05.759
the north position, so like we're facing east, it like

257
00:17:06.240 --> 00:17:10.519
curves and almost like makes a J shape towards the

258
00:17:10.599 --> 00:17:14.400
parking lot. And so I tried to get closer to

259
00:17:14.519 --> 00:17:16.480
it by the tree line to see what it was.

260
00:17:17.160 --> 00:17:20.720
And whatever it was got really close to the tree

261
00:17:20.759 --> 00:17:23.559
line where I was standing, so it's like a wall

262
00:17:23.720 --> 00:17:28.480
of bushes. It was like I couldn't tell how far

263
00:17:28.519 --> 00:17:30.279
back it was, but I could tell it was getting

264
00:17:30.279 --> 00:17:32.480
a lot closer to me, and it was like making

265
00:17:32.480 --> 00:17:36.640
a bee line towards me, and I started backing up.

266
00:17:36.720 --> 00:17:38.880
I'm like, wow, whatever this is, it's starting to get

267
00:17:38.920 --> 00:17:41.000
close to me, So this is kind of weird. I

268
00:17:41.039 --> 00:17:43.519
don't know what animal this is. At this point, when

269
00:17:43.559 --> 00:17:47.240
I backed up, I heard it turn around again and

270
00:17:47.279 --> 00:17:49.599
then headed back to the direction it came, and then

271
00:17:49.720 --> 00:17:54.359
just started like going back and forth trying to like

272
00:17:54.400 --> 00:17:56.079
I don't even know what it was trying to, but

273
00:17:56.319 --> 00:17:58.720
like it gets to the point we were getting freaked out.

274
00:17:59.240 --> 00:18:01.559
I'm shinding my lash light back there, and then I

275
00:18:01.640 --> 00:18:06.240
kind of swore I saw like green eyeshine and usually

276
00:18:06.319 --> 00:18:08.920
out of a thought it was like a lightning bug,

277
00:18:09.880 --> 00:18:14.440
but the the the eye or whatever it was looked

278
00:18:14.480 --> 00:18:18.480
really large, like like it had have been like maybe

279
00:18:18.519 --> 00:18:22.160
this big, but from a distance like farther back, and

280
00:18:22.200 --> 00:18:27.160
it was relliant, like pretty high off the ground, like

281
00:18:27.160 --> 00:18:29.799
like six or seven feet. It was kind of hard

282
00:18:29.799 --> 00:18:32.680
to gauge how high it was. And then given it

283
00:18:32.720 --> 00:18:36.039
a slope, there was not really a good gauge, but

284
00:18:36.119 --> 00:18:39.240
it was like not ground level, like it seemed a

285
00:18:39.279 --> 00:18:42.839
little high for a lightning bug to be and a

286
00:18:42.839 --> 00:18:46.799
little too large. So we ended up leaving and then

287
00:18:47.519 --> 00:18:50.960
and I thought nothing of it, and I'm like, I

288
00:18:51.119 --> 00:18:54.480
just saw, like, wow, it was really weird. That's happened.

289
00:18:55.119 --> 00:18:58.559
And then and I just looked it at that I

290
00:18:58.599 --> 00:19:01.000
didn't know what to think. And then probably a little

291
00:19:01.000 --> 00:19:05.599
bit longer or a little bit later, I'm like, that

292
00:19:05.720 --> 00:19:07.680
might have been a bigfoot, But I don't know.

293
00:19:12.119 --> 00:19:15.200
That's really interesting. I'm looking. I also checked out the

294
00:19:15.200 --> 00:19:18.440
big Foot mapping project. I think it's actually your You

295
00:19:18.480 --> 00:19:24.599
put your report up on there, right, yes, Okay, cool, cool.

296
00:19:24.640 --> 00:19:28.759
I was just double checking. So that's really interesting. But

297
00:19:28.839 --> 00:19:35.599
I just want to look real quick on the bfro Ohio,

298
00:19:35.720 --> 00:19:37.119
is it Butler County.

299
00:19:37.799 --> 00:19:40.279
Where we were exactly? There's pre Bowl County, but this

300
00:19:40.480 --> 00:19:42.440
it was like ran the border.

301
00:19:45.200 --> 00:19:54.160
Pre Bowl County. Okay, oh yeah? In interesting. Could you

302
00:19:54.200 --> 00:19:58.519
tell if those are recent reports on that map that

303
00:19:58.599 --> 00:20:00.720
he showed you or that the showed you.

304
00:20:01.480 --> 00:20:04.720
He didn't show me like how old they were, but

305
00:20:04.839 --> 00:20:06.680
he just showed me their sightings.

306
00:20:06.319 --> 00:20:12.400
In Okay, gotcha, gotcha. So what I'm seeing is I

307
00:20:12.440 --> 00:20:15.720
can't find any documented sightings around the state park. It

308
00:20:15.839 --> 00:20:20.920
might be a thing where they might be there, but

309
00:20:21.279 --> 00:20:24.240
just the general public doesn't know about it, and this

310
00:20:24.440 --> 00:20:28.640
is kind of the first time you're you're coming forward,

311
00:20:28.680 --> 00:20:30.880
is kind of the first time people know about it,

312
00:20:30.880 --> 00:20:34.720
if you get what I mean. Yeah, which is kind

313
00:20:34.759 --> 00:20:38.160
of interesting. You know, if there is other stuff happening

314
00:20:38.240 --> 00:20:40.759
in the State Park area in the general public doesn't

315
00:20:40.799 --> 00:20:45.599
know about it, Yeah, I think people should know about

316
00:20:45.599 --> 00:20:52.119
stuff going on. But yeah, that's just me. But yeah,

317
00:20:52.519 --> 00:20:57.920
after you had this experience, sometimes people will have other

318
00:20:58.000 --> 00:21:04.119
strange things happen, like at their house or just weird stuff.

319
00:21:04.440 --> 00:21:07.039
Did anything out of the ordinaries start to happen after

320
00:21:07.359 --> 00:21:12.119
this initial experience you had, not.

321
00:21:12.039 --> 00:21:14.680
Really like everything has been the same. Like I've gone

322
00:21:14.720 --> 00:21:19.400
back to the park too, nothing's weird happened, and I

323
00:21:19.400 --> 00:21:23.559
don't feel like anything followed me home or anything. But

324
00:21:23.640 --> 00:21:26.319
I always have that suspicion like, oh, I don't know

325
00:21:26.359 --> 00:21:28.000
why I'm like this, but I'm like, oh no, I

326
00:21:28.039 --> 00:21:30.440
hope what if it was fault didn't follow me home?

327
00:21:30.559 --> 00:21:33.640
But that's just me. But no, that's like nothing weird

328
00:21:33.720 --> 00:21:34.519
going on either.

329
00:21:36.680 --> 00:21:39.400
It sounds like this is something that you are wanting

330
00:21:39.440 --> 00:21:44.960
to continue to look into, Is that right correct? Do

331
00:21:45.000 --> 00:21:49.279
you have any any goals with looking into you know,

332
00:21:49.359 --> 00:21:52.960
potential Bigfoot in this area? Is there is there something

333
00:21:53.079 --> 00:21:55.400
you want to have accomplished through all this.

334
00:21:57.440 --> 00:22:03.799
Probably just make the presence more publicly known. Maybe get

335
00:22:03.799 --> 00:22:07.200
a better video, because someone I took isn't very good,

336
00:22:07.400 --> 00:22:12.319
but it's still like inconclusive. Like probably something we're convincing

337
00:22:13.519 --> 00:22:16.920
to the general public who doesn't know much about bigfoot.

338
00:22:17.440 --> 00:22:22.920
Maybe find better footprints that are more detailed and casted,

339
00:22:23.160 --> 00:22:27.599
and like the ground when we took the castings at

340
00:22:27.640 --> 00:22:30.799
one time weren't wasn't very good because it was just

341
00:22:30.839 --> 00:22:35.200
remaining all day. So probably just like find like the

342
00:22:35.839 --> 00:22:38.480
better evidence and probably just bring awareness to it.

343
00:22:38.519 --> 00:22:41.920
Really, yeah, absolutely, I was Did did you get any

344
00:22:42.039 --> 00:22:45.680
of the track casts that were cast that day? Or

345
00:22:45.720 --> 00:22:49.279
were those those cast by the rap and he held

346
00:22:49.400 --> 00:22:50.319
they held onto them.

347
00:22:50.519 --> 00:22:53.519
I have the one cast, he has the other one

348
00:22:53.559 --> 00:22:53.880
he took.

349
00:22:56.119 --> 00:23:00.440
Okay, that's awesome. Is that something you have in in

350
00:23:00.519 --> 00:23:06.119
your room right now? Would would would you feel comfortable?

351
00:23:06.160 --> 00:23:08.559
Is that something you might be able to show off

352
00:23:08.559 --> 00:23:10.079
on on camera?

353
00:23:10.319 --> 00:23:13.160
Or yeah?

354
00:23:14.839 --> 00:23:15.640
Yeah, that's awesome.

355
00:23:16.359 --> 00:23:27.440
Okay, So I've had difficulty cleaning this, but this is

356
00:23:27.519 --> 00:23:32.680
it up here is like extra material, so like the

357
00:23:32.720 --> 00:23:36.079
extra plaster. So this was the indent in the ground really,

358
00:23:37.000 --> 00:23:40.799
but it's really weird because like you could tell those

359
00:23:40.839 --> 00:23:44.240
like a heel mark here, then it goes down a

360
00:23:44.279 --> 00:23:47.960
bit and then it comes back up and then this

361
00:23:48.079 --> 00:23:51.559
I think is a deer print. But then I don't

362
00:23:51.559 --> 00:23:55.559
know what this is, what this is because whatever it

363
00:23:55.599 --> 00:23:57.839
was was pushed down because there was a stick here,

364
00:23:58.799 --> 00:24:02.279
and then something that goes up here a bit, almost

365
00:24:02.319 --> 00:24:05.079
like toes, and then this, and I don't know if

366
00:24:05.079 --> 00:24:07.279
it's a deer print like part of a deer print either,

367
00:24:08.599 --> 00:24:12.519
And it was just very weird. And I found a

368
00:24:12.559 --> 00:24:16.799
footprint the other day in a similar shape to this,

369
00:24:17.680 --> 00:24:23.079
like up here and here like I had like a

370
00:24:23.200 --> 00:24:26.200
like a like this shaped feet, So I don't know

371
00:24:26.200 --> 00:24:29.599
if it's just how the footprint turned out or what.

372
00:24:30.480 --> 00:24:33.200
But where I found it was on a like a

373
00:24:33.279 --> 00:24:36.440
game trail, so there's a bunch of deer prints in

374
00:24:36.480 --> 00:24:41.599
the area. I also think it's a handprint too, and

375
00:24:41.920 --> 00:24:44.480
if it just like whatever it was was laying down

376
00:24:44.559 --> 00:24:47.359
and pressed its fingers in the gown. But I still

377
00:24:47.400 --> 00:24:49.440
don't know what to think to think of the cast.

378
00:24:52.160 --> 00:24:54.720
Hold on, I'm gonna I'm gonna show you something real quick.

379
00:24:54.759 --> 00:24:57.440
I'll be right back. Okay, so I don't get the

380
00:24:57.559 --> 00:24:59.759
chance to really bust this out on the show at all,

381
00:24:59.799 --> 00:25:03.599
but this is so I can show you a cast

382
00:25:03.759 --> 00:25:07.039
of a handprint that we found in the mount Hood

383
00:25:07.119 --> 00:25:11.359
National Forest in Oregon last July of twenty five.

384
00:25:11.400 --> 00:25:21.079
Okay, oh wow, So.

385
00:25:25.240 --> 00:25:28.359
If you see, can you see like how you've got

386
00:25:28.440 --> 00:25:32.720
like the ones going down. Yeah, it's really hard to see,

387
00:25:32.960 --> 00:25:36.960
but that's how when you look at it like this way,

388
00:25:38.720 --> 00:25:41.680
it's like the fingers are into the mud. So you've

389
00:25:41.720 --> 00:25:45.279
got like these weird things that are left with a

390
00:25:45.319 --> 00:25:49.079
handprint cast when it's down in the mud. And so

391
00:25:49.599 --> 00:25:53.359
then you can look at this again, so you see

392
00:25:53.400 --> 00:25:57.680
how it's like where my pinky is pointing right there,

393
00:25:58.359 --> 00:26:01.200
that's like one of the fingers going down into the

394
00:26:01.279 --> 00:26:05.680
mud right there. So handprint casts are really weird. Yeah,

395
00:26:05.960 --> 00:26:08.799
it's weird to wrap your mind around them. But that's

396
00:26:08.960 --> 00:26:12.160
that's a good one. I think there's some in Krantz's book,

397
00:26:12.319 --> 00:26:14.839
maybe two, but this is an example of one you

398
00:26:14.880 --> 00:26:19.319
can keep in mind. Cliff Berrickman helped, but Frank kin

399
00:26:19.400 --> 00:26:22.880
Easter was the guy who the researcher that found it initially.

400
00:26:22.920 --> 00:26:26.359
But that maybe that will help when you're looking around

401
00:26:26.480 --> 00:26:33.519
the area in Houston Woods as well. Yeah, okay, so

402
00:26:33.640 --> 00:26:37.319
there you go. But yeah, thank you so much for

403
00:26:37.839 --> 00:26:42.519
sharing what you've experienced so far. Definitely keep us up

404
00:26:42.519 --> 00:26:45.000
to date with if you have any other experiences and

405
00:26:45.359 --> 00:26:49.599
have you talked to do they have like a let's see,

406
00:26:49.599 --> 00:26:52.119
what would they have? Do they have rangers or anything

407
00:26:52.440 --> 00:26:56.519
or or camp hosts in that in that park it's.

408
00:26:56.359 --> 00:26:59.519
A stay park, so I assume there's definitely like departments

409
00:27:00.279 --> 00:27:04.680
enough National Resources officers in the area, so and just

410
00:27:04.720 --> 00:27:06.799
like a nature center there too. But I've been loved

411
00:27:06.839 --> 00:27:11.920
to talk to or to anyone or asked you about it.

412
00:27:11.920 --> 00:27:14.839
It might be interesting. And this is all like how

413
00:27:15.039 --> 00:27:17.759
comfortable you are, because it's kind of out of a

414
00:27:17.799 --> 00:27:22.960
comfort zone sometimes. But if you do want to kind

415
00:27:22.960 --> 00:27:25.359
of get out there a little bit with your investigation,

416
00:27:26.359 --> 00:27:29.480
you could always say, hey, have you guys been hearing

417
00:27:29.519 --> 00:27:33.440
any weird stuff around here? Or you know, people seeing

418
00:27:35.400 --> 00:27:40.599
large and you can say like creatures or figures or

419
00:27:41.960 --> 00:27:44.880
et cetera, or seeing tracks or you know, kind of

420
00:27:44.880 --> 00:27:50.359
take any of those and use that to to or

421
00:27:50.400 --> 00:27:52.599
people seeing anything weird, and you can leave it kind

422
00:27:52.640 --> 00:27:56.920
of vague too, you know. But that might be fun.

423
00:27:57.039 --> 00:27:59.359
It's all. It's all what your comfort level is.

424
00:27:59.440 --> 00:27:59.599
You know.

425
00:27:59.680 --> 00:28:03.519
Sometimes those guys will talk, sometimes they won't. But at

426
00:28:03.519 --> 00:28:05.240
the end of the day, that might be something fun

427
00:28:05.240 --> 00:28:09.680
to do. But it sounds like there could be people

428
00:28:09.759 --> 00:28:12.640
seeing stuff there. But as you said, as we both said,

429
00:28:12.640 --> 00:28:16.960
it's just not public yet, so your sighting could be

430
00:28:17.000 --> 00:28:20.279
the first public one and possibly in a group that's

431
00:28:20.319 --> 00:28:23.359
about to come out. We'll see. So yeah, but Olivia,

432
00:28:23.480 --> 00:28:26.119
it has been fun chatting with you today. Yes, and

433
00:28:26.519 --> 00:28:30.799
thank you for sharing. Thank you for sharing with us

434
00:28:31.359 --> 00:28:34.160
all these things that have been happening pretty recent and

435
00:28:34.240 --> 00:28:36.839
keep us in the loop. If you are able to

436
00:28:37.640 --> 00:28:40.000
notice anything out of the ordinary when you go back

437
00:28:40.039 --> 00:28:40.759
next time.

438
00:28:40.920 --> 00:28:41.880
Yeah, I definitely will.

439
00:28:42.079 --> 00:28:45.079
Have you ever heard all the accounts of bigfoot activity

440
00:28:45.119 --> 00:28:48.359
around Oakridge, Oregon and you think to yourself, Man, I

441
00:28:48.359 --> 00:28:51.240
would love to get out in those woods and experience

442
00:28:51.240 --> 00:28:55.759
it for myself. Well, guess what this year you can.

443
00:28:56.440 --> 00:28:59.359
If this is interesting to you, stay tuned because it's

444
00:28:59.400 --> 00:29:04.640
pretty cool. Sasquatch Summerfest is coming up July tenth through

445
00:29:04.640 --> 00:29:08.400
the eleventh, twenty twenty six. It's going to be even

446
00:29:08.480 --> 00:29:13.200
better than the previous years. You may know Jason Kenzie

447
00:29:13.720 --> 00:29:18.039
from his documentary series Searching for Sasquatch. Well, this year

448
00:29:19.200 --> 00:29:21.920
you can not only go to the festival, but you

449
00:29:22.000 --> 00:29:29.640
can also sign up for a track deep in the

450
00:29:29.680 --> 00:29:34.119
wild forest outside of Oakridge with Jason Kenzie to the

451
00:29:34.160 --> 00:29:38.200
Bigfoot spots to look for Bigfoot. There's only eight spots

452
00:29:38.599 --> 00:29:42.119
to sign up for this, and yes, this will also

453
00:29:42.160 --> 00:29:45.519
be filmed for the next chapter in his documentary series,

454
00:29:45.559 --> 00:29:48.279
which is Searching for Sasquatch. This is a once in

455
00:29:48.279 --> 00:29:51.160
a lifetime deal. It's just it's gonna be a wild,

456
00:29:51.279 --> 00:29:56.359
wild experience. To get a ticket, head on over to

457
00:29:56.400 --> 00:30:00.559
Sasquatch Summerfest dot com and listeners, can you the code

458
00:30:00.759 --> 00:30:06.640
bsp like Bigfoot Society podcast in order to get a

459
00:30:06.680 --> 00:30:09.720
two day pass for the price of a one day pass.

460
00:30:10.319 --> 00:30:14.960
So thanks to Priscilla for giving me that code so

461
00:30:15.000 --> 00:30:21.440
that you guys can can get a little help with

462
00:30:21.480 --> 00:30:26.440
the cost there. Appreciate that, Priscilla. Before we wrap this episode,

463
00:30:26.480 --> 00:30:29.079
I want to say something directly to a very specific

464
00:30:29.119 --> 00:30:32.599
group of listeners. If you're in the military, any branch

465
00:30:32.880 --> 00:30:35.599
or forces, and if you've seen something that no one

466
00:30:35.640 --> 00:30:38.839
can explain, or if you're a national park ranger or

467
00:30:39.000 --> 00:30:42.519
forestryt worker who's been told to stay quiet. If you're

468
00:30:42.519 --> 00:30:45.960
a pilot who's seen something strange down on the ground,

469
00:30:46.319 --> 00:30:49.119
or if you're with the FBI a federal agency, or

470
00:30:49.160 --> 00:30:52.680
working intelligence and you stumbled upon something you're not allowed

471
00:30:52.720 --> 00:30:55.720
to talk about. And if you're a firefighter, paramedic, or

472
00:30:55.799 --> 00:30:59.400
search and rescue responder who's heard screams or found tracks

473
00:30:59.519 --> 00:31:02.559
that didn't makes sense. If you're in the logging industry

474
00:31:03.519 --> 00:31:06.400
on a remote oil field, or a trucker with government

475
00:31:06.480 --> 00:31:10.079
contracts and you've had something happen that you've never told

476
00:31:10.119 --> 00:31:13.759
a soul. And if you're a biologist, a wildlife specialist,

477
00:31:13.960 --> 00:31:17.319
or a field researcher under contract who has found evidence

478
00:31:17.480 --> 00:31:21.079
you're not allowed to report. If you're a pastor, a missionary,

479
00:31:21.240 --> 00:31:24.400
or someone on a spiritual retreat and you saw something

480
00:31:24.440 --> 00:31:28.240
that shook your faith, or if you work in the shadows, CIA,

481
00:31:28.440 --> 00:31:31.799
NSA or anything with clearance and you've seen what the

482
00:31:31.799 --> 00:31:36.440
public hasn't, then I want to talk to you, even

483
00:31:36.480 --> 00:31:41.559
if it's anonymous. You can reach me at Bigfoot Society

484
00:31:41.599 --> 00:31:44.680
at gmail dot com. The world needs to hear what

485
00:31:44.680 --> 00:31:49.240
you've been forced to carry alone. And you're not alone.

486
00:31:49.440 --> 00:31:54.519
You've got the story, We've got the mic, see you

487
00:31:54.559 --> 00:31:57.079
in the woods. Thank you for listening to this episode

488
00:31:57.119 --> 00:32:00.359
of The Bigfoot Society Podcast. Every encounter we share reminds
