Pennsylvania Midnight Bigfoot: Captain Richard’s 15-Foot Roadside Encounter

So stay with us, all right, Big for. Society, Welcome back to another episode. Today we have the privilege of talking to Captain Richard. Captain Richard is a outdoorsman nature guide boat captain. He's got decades of experience traveling around the Caribbean, Central America, the United States. He's had many things happened to him over the years. As we were just talking. If you're on YouTube, you can see his background and you can see his many many BMX trophies as well, and maybe we'll hear a bit about that. But you are current BMX Racing Champion of Ohio and Pennsylvania.

1:06 Correct, Yes, sir, very good, very good. Is there anything else that my listeners would want to know about you before we get going here? Well, possibly that I was a tour boat captain in the Caribbean for many years. I was also a tour boat captain in Costa Rica for many years. I'm an experienced master diver, a photographer, a video video man, I am cameraman. I'm union So I've had to travel to a lot of different places filming and being involved in stuff like that that might be interesting to them. I speak several languages. I have experience in the ocean, in the jungles. I know celestial navigation, I know stars. My family's all military. I grew up on military basis like that.

2:01 So generally I consider myself to be a serious and qualified observer. So I state that just because a lot of people wonder, you know, are what kind of qualifications do you have to be an observer? As a captain, I've learned to observe on radars. I've learned to observe the sky, weather patterns, everything. It's not easy to pull the wool over my eyes. What would you say is the strangest thing that you've seen in your travels over the years. Ooh wow, make my hair stand up. I would say, probably the thing that's scariest, the thing that sometimes haunts me from moment to moment, was an experience I had in the Punta Renas hospital on the west coast of Costa Rica. My company, myself participating, had been doing a telethon to raise money for a neonatal unit in that hospital, and somehow I worked myself into a total exhaustion and either picked up a virus like dangay or anyway. I ended up in the dangay ward on the fourth floor of this hospital, sorry, the eleventh floor of this hospital, and I was there for about ten days. I actually ended up going into a coma. I had a real, real hard time. And when I got out of that one night, I was getting up to go to the bathroom, and it was about two o'clock in the morning. I

3:32 got up to go to the bathroom and you come out in the hall, and the bathroom's not in the room, it's down the hall. It's ancient hospitals. Everybody shared it, but nobody was up. So I get up and I go out into the hall and you know, how you do you look left? You look right? I was cash about my getting up, no big deal. So I looked to the right down the hall and about fifty sixty feet down the hallway, at the very end of the hallway was but I can only describe as a giant, black, upside down tiar It was had a point at the bottom, and it was tear drop shaped, and it went all the way to the ceiling and its point went almost to the floor, and it was a completely black, pitch black something. I don't know what it was. I just know that as soon as I looked at it, even though it didn't have any eyes or anything, it felt like it suddenly turned its attention to me. And that thing flew down the hallway and literally impacted me like a truck. And instantly I was in blackness that I was just I was so angry. I said, you, son of a I'm gonna kill I just went into some kind of survival fighting mechanism. But it it it was astounding, and it dragged me down the hall and and I'm struggling and fighting with this. I couldn't see my body, I couldn't see anything. It was instantly in just pure blackness,

5:04 and then I woke up in my bed the next morning. I had no clue how I had gotten there, and I even doubted that I had had that occur to me. But what sealed the deal for me was that on my discharge a day or two later, I got a debriefing by somebody in that hospital as a Catholic hospital, and they had some doctor that's in charge interview me before I left. He's a psychologist or psychiatrist, I think that was his profession. And he talked to me for a little while and then at the end, I said, listen, I got to tell you something. I had the craziest experience, and I told him, I said, this is what happened to me. And he sat back in his chair and he said to me, he said, oh boy, you got a problem. I said, what do you mean? He said, you have to go to the monseigneur because you need to be exercised. I'm like, what are you talking about.

6:08 He says, no, no, no, this is real. This has happened in this hospital before, and you should go to the monseignor. Well, I was like, whatever, you know, I'm immune to this. Well no, I was not immune to it. I had horrible itching, burning sensations on my skin. Every night I would go into hives. And I'm talking this lasted for almost six months that I was sick from whatever happened there. Now, that hospital was getting condemned, so there were holes in the ceiling and literally pigeons were flying in and out of that place. They'd fly down the hall sometimes. So I figured I just picked up some mites or some lice or something, and I took medicine for it. I took iver mect and I took a bunch of stuff for it, and nothing, nothing, nothing affected it. And at some point I ended up talking to Costa. Rica's kind of a weird place. You never know who you're going to run into. And I ended up talking to a woman that was on television with another lady being interviewed about the forest and shamanism and stuff like that and nutrition. And she she's the one that told me. She said, oh wow, she heard my story and she's like, no, you need this and this and this, and what she did was she put essential oils on me. She got a cedar oil, a lemon oil, and she put them on the back of my heel and she puts some lemon oil on the back of my ear, on my hand. I can't quite remember, and I kid you not that it she didn't come back.

7:39 It left that very day. So it was. Humbling because you know, as a scientist or a would be scientist, I consider, you know, I need facts. I need facts, and I don't have a fact about how this works and what's really going on. I mean, one thing's to have your idea of spirituality, but another is to have some be attacked by something and have something in you and you know it's there. That it's not a normal parasite like a worm or a fly or something like that. It's literally, oh man, I'm telling you, I cannot believe it still that I went through it. It was absolutely horrible. I would scratch my skin off, and it's horrible. So that thing scares me because I, you know, I it doesn't matter where I'm at, I can look around and I can be like, is that thing going to show up again? Because it's pretty much the scariest particular thing that I've I've experienced. I experienced that. What year was that? That was around two thousand and fourteen or so, somewhere around somewhere around there. But I've had I've had other other encounters, but mostly as a child, as a kid, and I don't know. I'm sixty two now, so as a kid, I look back and I don't It's not that I don't believe they happened, but it's a little bit different when something happens very recently. The same thing goes with this bigfoot sighting. When I was

9:09 a kid, I had a couple of what I would you know, I don't know. I don't know what they were. I would term them like not to get off on a tangent, Jeremiah. But when I was a kid, I like in sixth grade, I was getting ready to move to from California to Illinois, and I didn't want to do my school work. I didn't want to do my homework. I was getting harassed in school. It was a real pain. So I decided and I was getting bullied and I'm not going to be bullied. I mostly if I get bullied, since I've been through so many different schools, I know how to handle bullies. And if I go to a school and I'm getting bullied, I'll be like, well, I better save my violence for an absolute. You know, a situation that can't be denied, can't just go off like a bomb the first day. You have to kind of wait, right, But I decided that I wouldn't get into fights. So as soon as the school bus would pull up to the school, which is in California, and I think the school was called Deer Park School. I'm not sure. It's in a Bay area, Fremont, Fremont Bay Area, but the bus would go up into the mountains and I would be up there. As soon as the school bus would pull in, I would get out with everybody normally, but I'd run around the back of the bus and then I would go up into the hills. I would shoot it, go under the fence and I would be lining up

10:40 to the hills. And I would stay up in this little pine grove up there all day long. Until the bus came again. Sometimes i'd sleep a little, but mostly I would just hang out up in the woods there. And I did that for about three weeks, and then one day I saw something peaking from behind a tree, very large, dark thing. It would it was. At first I didn't know what it was that I just saw a black spot up there. In the woods. About maybe I don't know, a couple hundred feet away at the very most, like about as far as from the front of your house to across the street to the next house across the street, you know, not mansion distances, but just typical like maybe a hundred hundred and fifty feet, so a little bit bigger than a person.

11:25 I got caught. I caught that thing looking at me, and I was like, what, what the heck? And and at first it didn't move, but then it duck back behind the tree. That was the end for me. I ran, I ran out of the woods. Bus wasn't I ran? I was like, holy cow. So that ended my time running away from the school classes. And that was one time that I had when I was in sixth grade. Then we moved to Illinois and I was out in the country out there, and one time I swear I saw something looking in the window of the bathroom. It was a very high window and outside it was probably about ten or so feet off the ground. I was in there at night and I saw something kind of block the light.

12:13 I looked and I. Couldn't see anything. But when I looked it, I was trying to look through glass block. I could tell there was something really big and black standing outside looking through the window, and that was only just inches. Why dang, that scared a crap out of me too. But again, but what I saw on the side of the road, that was a way clearer, way clearer. So yeah, I've had and I've seen a few other things, but this what I'm here to talk about with you today was, like I say, it was about last year in the summertime, and a little bit different being I feeling like I'm.

12:55 Older and more balanced or more grounded, right or whatever it is. I'm more of but less likely to be fooled by something. That's what generally I think. Oh I'm smart now. Yeah, before I get into that, would you be able to share what part of Illinois that happened in and what approximate year that was. Yeah, that was in the like around seventy eight or so, and it was in the Markham Park areas where we lived, country Club Hills. It's a suburb of the Chicago Land area. Okay, Yeah, fascinating and really all I have to hear is nineteen seventy eight, And I mean there was hundreds and hundreds of big Foot sightings all across the US that year, so I am not surprised there were. You can look into any state and you'll find crazy Bigfoot sightings in nineteen seventy eight.

13:51 For some reason, there's something going on. So that's very interesting, very interesting. Oh yeah, oh I remember, I remember that about that year, if I'm not missing there was a program that came out that was called the Project blue Book Files, and it would be on TV and I never missed it, and it was recreations from Project Blue Book of basically UFO and alien encounters. They didn't talk anything about Bigfoot, but there was a few people on that program that would talk about stuff. And one of the things I picked out of it was to keep a log book. How to be an observer and how to keep a logbook. And my dad was a Navy guy. He worked on aircraft carriers. He should have been a weatherman. But he had a really great pair of Navy binoculars that were ten fifties and he'd here, Richard, you know, use these, and so I would.

14:40 I would spend hours, and back then there's no internet, you know, it's not like today where you can just waste months sitting on a phone. You would have nothing to do. So I would look at the sky and I would go up to the top of the house and I would get those binoculars out, and I had my little notebook and I kept clues of everything, all the differfferent stuff that was going on, And there was a lot of crazy things going on there that now that I look back, we're very likely the kind of subject matter we're talking about. But once I was alert, I guess basically, once I was alert to that, then I started noticing different things. They weren't even UFO related, you know, different anomalies, things like things looking in the window or odd noises out in the fields.

15:25 So interesting. And so you're saying, from what I'm getting so far, one of the most impactful sightings that you had happened just last year in Pennsylvania. Is that right? That's correct, That's correct. Yeah, okay, so this was this happened. I don't remember the exact date. I could, I could tell you the exact date. I just have to go in to look at my photos and stuff like that to see the date. But in a nutshell, it was. It happened in the summertime last year, and I had gone up to New York to work on a music video and a documentary for a friend of mine who's doctor danger. He's a Hollywood stunt man. He's been on television a lot of times, and he's ancient. So he's leaving the business. And so I went up there with him to he's my buddy, to keep things moving and to film and this and that. Well, it got really stormy and I actually got suddenly very sick. I think I got RSV is what I got. So I left suddenly in pretty much the middle of a storm that was approaching, and I left New York. I was in that was in let me tell you the name of the place. Oh, it's a race track. I can't think

16:58 of the name right now. Starts with an L. Anyway, it's up by the capital of New York. And I can't remember the name of that all of a sudden, but it's just because I'm an old guy. Anyway, So I'm up in the country there and I left, and I was about seven hours away from from my home here. It said seven hours when I put the GPS in, So I was leaving New York. I got off on an exit to get some gas, and the storm got us really hard, and at that point the GPS just. Was garbage, and I had no clue. I had no clue where I was, so I just followed the GPS and it put me on a little road, and I thought, Okay, I'm going to the highway. But you know, about twenty minutes later, I'm still driving on this little country road. I can tell in the mirror of my truck that I'm going in the right direction, but I have no clue where I'm going, can't get the GPS to work, so I just stay on my road.

17:57 Right. Well, it ended up being an aptly outrageous day. I got way lost in the woods of Pennsylvania, way way lost out there, driving around, got a dog worn flat tire, and by the time I was coming out of the woods to get onto Highway eighty, which was finally like the highway that was rescuing me, it was by that time, like almost ten o'clock at night, and I had been on the road for maybe twelve or thirteen hours. My total day was eighteen hours. I mean, it was outrageously long day. And I was coming back on eighty, coming west on eighty, about an hour out from Ohio's border. And it was storming so brutally. It was just coming down like a hurricane. And truck drivers, believe it or not, crazy crazy truck drivers. I don't know what they're hopped up on, but they started doing road rage. And I had these several truck drivers banded together were One of them passed me and turned on his rear trailer lights and literally tried to blind me. Another guy almost ran me off the road. So I said, this is insane.

19:02 I'm going to lose my life. So I got off the highway in a place. It was about midnight when I got off that highway, and I got off in a park that was right before the Alleghany River east of the Alleghany River. One exit east of the Alleghany River on I eighty in Pennsylvania, Okay. And it was about midnight at that point. And as soon as I got off, I get off and it's just a rural road with a little stop sign and left or right, you don't know where you're going. It's pitch pitch blackout. Although there was starting to be a little bit of a moon coming out, the storm was ending and it got very very foggy, dense fog anyway, I get off that road, didn't or I was. But I saw some flashing lights under a bridge, and I went there and it happened to be a state trooper and he was surprised to see me. He told me, hey, the bridge is out over there, so you got to go this way.

19:57 I says, I have no clue where I'm at, and he says, well, just get back on the highway. I said, no, no, no, there's road rage. They're giving me road rage. I was actually really nervous that suddenly he was going to want to go on the offensive and pat me down or frisk Vinie or do something, because just can never tell, you know. But he didn't, and he told me. I told him I don't want to go on the highway. I want to get home through the back way. And so he said, well, you're going to have to go through fifty one and down through here and then get on to eighty one. And so it's all country roads. And it turns out that I was The fog came in so strong the rain ended, but then it was super p thick fog. It started getting broken patches. But I'm going along. I'm leaving right. I left and I'm going along a road that is right on the edge of the Allegheny River, on the eastern shoreline of the Alleghany River, but it drops down into cliffs, so you can't see it. I've seen it in the daytime, and it's a heck of a drop down in there. But at that point there was broke and clouds and the full moon was coming out and it was shining, and I thought, oh, I'll be able to take a look at that and see what's down there, just out of curiosity.

21:07 Right well, I couldn't see it, and I knew that I was in the right spot because there was a really long guard rail that was brand new, beautiful, bright silver guardrail, and I knew that. I was like, Wow, this must have been where the landslide was or something happened here, because it was all brand new. It was a long curving section of road that barely went downhill, and on the left hand side was a large open field and then forest, large meaning about half the length of a football field. It wasn't a giant spot. It was just kind of like a curving part in the road.

21:47 There little knoll that had it wasn't mode, but it was a field, and then there was a bunch of woods out there. So I'm coming around this curve and I'm literally doing about at the very most fifteen miles an hour. I was really kind. Of relaxed, just was so happy to be off of the highway, so happy to be relatively close to home, and I thought I was safe, and so I just kind of relaxed and thought, I'm just gonna chill because nobody's behind me or nothing like that. I don't need to go fast. And it was so foggy, I didn't want to go fast. So as I'm doing this curve, it's curving to the left and it's going down and I can see a little further away it's going to go down into a gorge where there's a bunch of forest.

22:31 But along this area is this brand new guardrail, and I was admiring it. I was admiring the construction and thinking, you know, it's really good that in our country we have this maintenance and you know you can have this right safety. So as I'm going along this guardrail, I notice a little further up, I'd say, let me, let me be accurate. I'd say, maybe at the most a couple hundred feet up. It looked like a big stink and tree was upright against the guard wrail. Like, here's the guardrail and there's this big tree sticking up over it. Big tree, you know, maybe five six feet wide and about looked like eight or nine foot tall. And I said to myself, what is that? Why in the heck would they leave a big stinking stump right next to the guard rail. That's crazy. Somebody's gonna get killed on that thing.

23:25 Right. Well, as I'm making the turn, I start to notice the. Side profile of this alleged trunk of tree, and it was a different shape. It didn't look like a tree at that point. It looked like a hunch, like something hunched over. And I was like, what the heck is that. I still hadn't, you know, made the conclusion that it was a tree at that point. At first I thought it was a tree because that was like the most familiar silo wet I could think of. But then it didn't look like a tree, So I kept staring at it right driving really slow. I'm driving really slow, like I said, less than fifteen miles an hour, no gas on the pedal, just coasting down this hill. Trying to look over the guardrail, and then by that time I was a lot closer to it, I don't know, maybe within fifty sixty feet of it, when the shape is changing and it's just looking like a mask now, and I'm like, what the heck kind of tree is that?

24:24 How did they cut that off? How did that fall over? Or whatever? Right? Whatever happened to it? And I noticed at the top of it, instead of looking like it was broken off or chopped off or anything, it just looked like around it was rounded. It lost its definition, and I was like, what the heck is that? Well, as I focused in on that top rounded part, I noticed underneath two bright white lines about this long each, little bright white lines, and I was like, what the heck is that? So as I look and I'm starting at this point, it's really close to me, maybe thirty five feet away thirty five feet at the most, and I'm going real slow, and it's on the other side of the guardrail, and I'm looking at this thing, and I'm like, what is that? I look focusing in on the white thing, and I'll be dog gone. As I got close to it, I started to see it more from a front face view instead of a profile. I started to see the front of it and it was right here, and it was a mustache. It was a stinking mustache. And I was like, what the heck? And that's what I noticed. That whatever it was had its eyes closed. They had their eyes closed. Their nose was almost invisible. It just looked flattened, as if it had closed its nostrils, almost like a seal, does you know, like it closed their nostrils and everything's closed off. Didn't see eyes, didn't see like this prominent brow ridge like

25:57 they talk about. Didn't see any of that. But I saw that mustache. And I couldn't tell if it had been like like whiskers that had gotten pulled together, like you know, a cat will kind of animals can kind of pull their whiskers together, or they can spread them out, you know. I don't know, but it looked like that. It looked like something hiding, trying its best to hide. But my headlights were right on it, right in its face. And I'm talking thirty thirty feet away, and I'm still getting close to this thing. And as I got really close to it, it changed its posture as every it seemed almost as if every time I looked at the steel the steering wheel, and I looked up for a second back to it. It was changing its posture. It looked like it had gone from standing up to crouching. Okay, it seems to me like when I first saw it it was standing, but it froze as soon as my headlights came around the curve and lit up on it.

27:03 Whatever it was looked like it froze. But then it moved a little bit and moved a little more. And by the time I got to it where it was on the side of my truck and I was able to look out the passenger window and out the windshield, it had crouched down a lot more. It wasn't as tall. It was crouched down next to the rail, and I could see its head. It looked like it looked like it had a bunch of dreadlocks. You couldn't really see, but yet I did see the muscles and as I as I had went by it, Kid you not, this thing looked like the Hulk from TV.

27:45 It looked like that. I haven't watched those movies. I'm not too much into sci fi fictions and comic books turned real life or anything like that. I'm way over that. But I have seen pictures of that hulk, and it looks like a cartoon. I swear, like I've heard other people say this thing looked like a cartoon. It does. When I saw it had muscles on top of muscles, I mean, it was obvious. And now I worked cattle ranches, I know what bulls look like. It pretty much looked like the body of a Brahma bull, muscled, all muscled. It was not a bull. Okay, it was not a bull. I'm just saying that it had the muscle like a bull.

28:26 Like you could see its shoulders and you could see and it didn't have a bunch of shaggy hair on it either. It wasn't shaggy looking. It actually looked like it had relatively short hair. And it was not black. It was identical to the color of the trees. It looked like a tree. It looked grayish like. I mean, I know most people, if you're a kindergarten kids, you might say, Okay, what color is a tree? Oh, what's brown? Let's pick the brown crayon out and color it. No, it's not brown, it's gray. It looks dusty, grayish like if you really look at a forest lit up at night, the trees don't look brown.

29:07 They look kind of gray. Maybe they're overexposed or whatever it is, but they don't look brown. They look gray. And trees will have a texture on them too, And this didn't seem to have a texture, but it had pretty much identical color to a deer or a tree. It looked like that. I mean, the first thought that occurred to me, Jeremiah, was no, wonder people don't see these things. This is beyond ridiculous, this thing. I mean, I'm a scuba diver and a dive master, and I take people on underwater tours and one of my biggest values that I add to people touring underwaters, I can spot cryptic creatures. Okay, I spot scorpionfish and all kinds of camouflage stuff that's you won't see it. I mean, even if you're right there on it. A scorpion fish, for example, a stonefish. You can touch the thing and you won't even know you're touching it. But if you're an experienced underwater naturalist, you see them in a heartbeat.

30:04 Once you've seen them, you know what they look like. They have symmetry, you can see a rock and it'll have a very variety of varied modeling on it. But a fish that's trying to look like a rock will always have symmetry. You'll always see a left on the right side, there's a mirror ring, for example. So I noticed that on this bigfoot's face or whatever this creature was, just as I'm passing it, I could see on the facial hair a slight pattern like a cat, like a house cat, like a typical the tiger striped gray and black cats. Then when you look at them and they kind of have like banding on their face, you can see that their face has pattern too, But it's not their skin, it's their hair. Right Like if a hair grows with a little banding on it and then you cover the body, it'll look like you got stripes. Obviously you don't have stripes. It's just a hey, right, the hair coloring. But this thing looked like literally looked like a gigantic house cat kind of face. Not that it was friendly looking. It didn't show aggression to me. It didn't show its teeth or anything. It just closed its face and just I can imagine like it's praying to say please, don't see me, Please don't see me.

31:26 You know. In fact, I know of animals that will do that. They'll hide behind they'll hide their face even though their body's not hidden. They figure, as long as my face isn't hidden, you're not gonna spot me. It's almost as if they have to make eye contact to acknowledge each other. But this thing hid, it closed its eyes. I passed right by it. I did not stop. I had no intention to stop. When I saw that thing. I actually didn't believe what I was seeing. It took me a couple another mile or two for me to actually say, what the heck because my mind went into some dialogue inside where its it just it doesn't believe it. It's just the oddest thing at that moment when your mind can suddenly be like, no, man, me and you ain't friends, and I'm just gonna consider this on my own and talk to you later.

32:10 Right. It's kind of like your mind checks out and makes its own conclusions, leaves you alone for a little bit, and you're like, what the heck did I see? And by the time your mind reconnects with you, kind of consciously, you're starting to believe, or at least listen more to your mind, and my mind was telling me, man, what we just saw back there. We're lucky we got away from that. I thought, I thought it could be something that was hunting. It seemed to me initial instinct was it was waiting on the side of the road and watching that field across the street. It blended in so well with the guardrail. It just made sense. And there was so many deer, and I think in that guard on that side, I saw like three deer a couple of deer up in the upper part of it that were everywhere. There was deer everywhere, and I didn't really know where I was at Jeremiah. So when I got home, i'd retraced my steps on Google Earth, and I saw, oh, that's all Pennsylvania game lands all throughout there. And I kid you not, within an hour span of time, I must have seen fifty or sixty deer. They were everywhere, everywhere, And that's what I think that creature was doing. The one thing I can't tell is what that was. I can't tell.

33:23 I don't know what it was. I wouldn't even dare say it was a big foot at this point, except the fact that something that looks like it's about ten or eleven feet tall. Must have a big foot. It's my lag. I just but this thing was massive, massive. I would kid you not. I would estimate it at around one thousand pounds. It was absolutely massive, massive, had lots of muscle. It was obvious it was a creature. And if I was to put my own take on it, my own name on it, it was kind of looked like almost like a cross between a mountain lion and a gigantic human being. It looked feeline like just because of those markings, but the rest of it looked bigfoot like, including the big head with its bunch of dreadlocks, and the arms and and just the overall posture of the body was human like, but not just a massive holy cow. Anyway, I had just got a camper and I thought, I'm gonna be doing a lot of camp, but I'm gonna go Nope, nope, it's over. I took that camper, I parked it. I haven't messed with it. I haven't even looked at the camper.

34:41 I kind of. Associate, wow, no, it's over, it's over. But that that thing really scared me. And to add to my other experiences, right, it was the closest that I've ever been to one, because I was literally between my driver's seat the guardrail outside and it was right there. So I'm guessing at the most fifteen or twenty feet from me that I could see it. Some people have asked me, did you think about taking a picture? I'm like, no, I'm not taking a picture. I first of all, I had my phone on the charge on the GPS trying to get it to charge, and it was eating up the signal and it was dead. And my phone really wasn't working.

You got to do all that swiping and all this clicking of the buttons and swiping to get the stupid camera where it's not like you just click. And I've tried to leave my camera on standby so that I could film things. You can't do it with these With these telephones, you know, you got to literally take the phone out, turn it on record, and then walk around expecting something to happen. It just doesn't happen. And I've taken pictures of stuff. I've seen plenty of UFOs and I've taken lots of pictures of stuff, and I've attempted to drill myself and be ready for pictures since I'm induction. I would just love to get something really good on TV someday, but it doesn't happen. It's really really hard.

36:07 That's why I admire anybody that gets any kind of shot. And I know people talk about, oh, that's a blurry shot. It must be a big foot because it's blurry. I'm like, yeah, right, because you just don't know what it's like to try to take a picture of a creature that suddenly appears out of nowhere, even a bear. Show me your pictures of a bear or even a deer, get something common. Try that. That's even super hard. Oh sure, I mean, and I've experienced that with you drive by a bald eagle. It happens in seconds. There's no way you're going to get your phone out to take a picture of it. It's already gone, you know. But you said something that has only come up, I would say two or three times over the years, and it was very interesting. You mentioned that it looked like you had dreadlocks, and that has come up only a few times. It's usually out in Oregon. Remember any details about was it just the look of what was it exactly that that made you think that it had what looked like treadlocks.

37:11 Well, first of all, I have long hair. I got long hair myself, and if I don't take care of his hair, it just forms like a shield. It just balloons out and it comes to the sides. It doesn't just hang straight. It comes to the sides and it's all kind of curly and locked up, and it looks like a shield or a helmet. And that's what it looked like to me. Like it did seem to have a little bit shaggier hair on that part. It wasn't like the skin on its shoulders, which looked very fine. It looked like a very short nap. Maybe. I mean, it definitely wasn't flowing. It's not like seeing the difference between an Irish setter, which with long flowing hair, it'll be smooth, but you can tell there's long hair there versus let's say a greyhound, which is also smooth, but you can tell the hairs are really short. You see what I mean, Just because something's smooth doesn't mean the hairs are long or short. You kind of have to see that texture and the texture on this creature was just like a deer. It looked like a deer.

38:21 It was smooth. It looked like a mountain lion. Like if you look at a mountain lion on a video or see them in a picture, you can tell they're smooth, but they don't have long, bushy hair. It's not like that. This thing did not have long bushy hair. But its head appeared to have a long, overgrown head of hair that draped down onto its shoulders. So I couldn't see if it was big muscle, if it had big muscles. Right here, it just looked like one big muscle, just crazy. But all the hair was still the same color. It wasn't like it was a different color. It was all the same color of the body. In one hand, it could look almost monolithic, like it didn't even have hair.

39:06 I was just fortunate, I guess, because I was super close to it and I could I could see locks, curly locks all packed together. Can't imagine that did it? So first, how many seconds do you think the whole experience took as you drove by. Oh, I'd say from the very second that I saw it in the distance, maybe around half a minute, maybe a little little more than half a minute total time. Total time at the most, maybe sixty sixty or seventy seconds, is my guess. That could be to not exaggerate now how it felt to me. I mean, you can pack a lot of feeling and conclusions into a single second of analysis. It just happened to like lightning. Your mind is going so fast, So you have this stream of consciousness going, and I'm listening to my own inner dialogue.

40:03 At that point, I was quiet, but I could hear my mind saying, what is that? And that looks like this, and it's spitting out information. But I couldn't choose what was real about that information yet. I couldn't you understand what I'm saying? Your mindfully? Yeah, yeah, your mind. Your mind starts throwing ideas at you, and if you're smart, you kind of know this is not a conclusion yet, just because your mind is spitting out look it's red. Look it's this, it's that, it's the other. You might find afterward by examining those memories that you were wrong, For example, about the color red. Your initial impression might be it's red, but then you see it and it's not. It's orange or brown or something like that. So I hadn't had conclusions drawn about what my mind was saying yet. I just know that it went into a monologue and started spitting out. It started talking like that's this, that's that. It got nervous. I noticed that my mind itself got nervous. And I wasn't nervous. I was calm. Just suddenly started its thing, almost as if it well, it definitely saw something that worried it. I personally wasn't worried. I I had no clue what was coming up, but my mind certainly started its thing immediately like hey, I'm here to protect you, and that's this that the other end, you know, started to give me recommendations like keep driving.

41:23 Exactly. And I don't know what that is or or how to explain that, but you know, I've heard something similar to that told, you know, hundreds of times, and I've experienced something like that myself, where you know, out in Oregon, drove past the pine tree and saw silhouette of a bigfoot in the ivy and then it disappeared, and your mind just starts freaking out, like what did what? What just happened? You know? I just you can't explain it. But no, going back to your your experience in Pennsylvania, were we to see did it have any emotion to its face as you drove by it or was it would it be hard to see that because of what it was doing.

42:09 Right, I mean, the biggest emotion that I got, the biggest impression that I got, was that first of all, it was like, I do not want to be seen. That was the overall feeling that I got. Because it didn't run away. I don't think it could have run away, because I believe that along that guard rail is a massive cliff and it just goes boom to the bottom of the river. And I'm talking massive. It's probably a couple hundred foot tall, and so it couldn't run away. But what it looked like it did was just I mean, the very minimum reaction it had was I don't like headlights in my face, right, Like, oh, it's just like, oh you know, I got my headlights in its face. I imagine if I was out there, I'd be like, oh god, I mean, how could you even hold your eyes open when the headlights are flashing in your face like that? And the other odd thing about it was that there was fog, and my headlights had this weird effect where they made a halo of light all around. It wasn't as if the headlights were penetrating and going a long distance. They made a bubble around me that was all lit up with all the fog, and so as I got really close to it, it seemed like the reflected light from everything lit him up.

43:26 Actually even gently. As I passed the side of him, where my headlights weren't even pointed at him anymore, I could still see him clearly because it was just it was all lit up around me with the fog. But that would be my general idea was that it was hiding. It definitely did not feel threatened, because I think if it had been threatened, it would jump over the rail and run, or maybe it would have jumped down onto something that I couldn't see, or even crouch down more. Well, I don't think it could crouch down anymore, because what I saw when it went by was I saw its knees up at its chest. It looked like it literally squatted down and just sat there and hunkered. I don't think it could hide its head anymore, because it looked like it was like he had put his jaw, his chin to his chest and was kind of just hiding like that, eyes closed. He didn't put his hands over his eyes or nothing like that. It just kind of did like this. But other than that, I don't think it had any other emotion other than ah, here comes another stinking car, you know, and should I hide? I don't know why they know to hide, but maybe it's just a natural reflex. I mean, like, what would we do if we were nocturnal creatures and somebody suddenly came with lights. You might want to freeze. That might be a good, good, you know, strategy until they leave. I think that happens a lot. And honestly, if it hadn't

44:56 been in that exact spot, there would be no way I could have If they had been in a wooded. Area, forget it, Yeah, you would have seen, there would have been. No It could be right next to the road too. It looks so much like a tree. I mean, you could basically take the color of a tree, in the texture and bark of a tree and print it on a pair of pajamas and put them on. That's kind of how you'd look, just like a stinking tree. So sometimes witnesses when they have a visual encounter, they will then take what they have seen and experienced and they'll say something to the effect of, you know, just it felt like it was really human, or it felt like it was really ape like from what I was able to see, from what you experienced. Are you leaning in either of those directions or would you say something maybe even different?

45:51 Wooh, definitely I think I would say something different. Okay, yeah, I would. I would definitely say something different, because well, my first impression was that no, this, if this is human, we're in a lot of trouble. We're in way more trouble than we'd ever imagined as a society, because I mean, what's the step between that a human like that being just one? There's obviously more and when are they going to make themselves actually known or do they or you know, I mean, there's a lot of disappearances of people, a lot of disappearances of animals, and we don't have you know, pretty much practically zero knowledge about those anomalousts disappearances.

46:31 People just go, we don't know what it is. We did it, we'd investigated, and that's I mean, considering everything that we have nowadays and all of the conclusions people get about how civilized we are and how safe and all this and our electronics and our it don't take but five seconds to get to the conclusion we have no clue what that is. So obviously, you know you can't you can't rely on our even our technology in our society to give us answers. But my general inclusion about that was, no, it's not human. If it is, it's the craziest experiment that you could imagine. I mean, like again, the only thing that I could say that comes even close to it is is the Hulk, where you know, they inject a normal human being with something crazy and he turns into an absolute monster. But you know, if this was something like bodybuilders could do, it'd be ridiculous.

47:25 You know, you'd have thousand pound bodybuilders, but you know, you maybe three hundred pounds now, But this thing was well over one thousand pounds. It was as big as four or five human beings stood next to each other. It was massive. It was massive. I mean, I'm saying five feet, but honestly, it could have been even more. But it was just huge. And as far as like being an animal or anything like that, I know, animals I've known animals since I was a little kid. I grew up financial geographic, I got straight a's on everything that was biology. I did lots of extracurricular knowledge about him. I can tell you pretty much. I don't care what kind of fish or animal it is. I know what they are just I can see the tail, and I can tell you what it is, all right, I don't I don't need very much information. And if this is an animal that is unknown to us, which it very well could be, then man, somebody's got to get out there. I got to get out there and get make this official, because I mean, I could believe in things that are completely not official. Nowadays, I believe in plenty of stuff that's not official, and I don't need anybody to tell me that's official.

48:34 Okay. In fact, if it's going to be official, it'd be a person like me that would say it's official, and then the books would write it and say, hey, this guy said he you know, that's that's how it is in my case. But no, this is not an animal that we've been talked to about or known about. I would not dare to draw conclusions about what it actually was. It could we don't know what it is. It could it could literally be an entity that is not even really physical like we consider physical. Just because you see it don't mean it's physical. It doesn't in fact, even human beings, it's debatable whether we're truly physical or not as well. So without getting down that rabbit hole, I just got a notification.

49:16 So yeah, it said that there's browser issues. I have gone ahead and. I've started a backup recording on my soundboard, so I'll at least have audio, okay, but yeah we can continue. Yep, Okay, so I don't. In twenty fourteen February twenty fourteen, I was in Costa Rica working on a series of new episodes for Alien Hunter for UFO Hunters for History Channel. Like I said, I have a production partner. His name's doctor Danger, and he kind of turned me onto that he came to Costa Rica one time, visited and then after he left he knew some of my experiences and he said, hey, let's keep an eye on whatever you see and hopefully we can get something on TV at some point in time. Well, at that point in time in Costa Rica, I got really gung ho into it because I wanted answers. Myself and I got into meditations, and you know all that, well, something came, A large ship came. So when that ship came, it came at three o'clock in the morning, and it landed on a cliff above my house. I watched it do it. I didn't see exactly where it landed, but I could see the lights, and I was tempted to get on my quad.

50:34 In fact, I wanted to get on my quad to go up there to see it at three in the morning, but my partner at that time refused. She just absolutely went crazy. So I stayed, but I went the day after. I went up to the place to look around, and I saw and I took pictures. I have the pictures and I'll share them with you gladly. That mountaintop was flattened. Something just ground off the top of it, burned all the vegetation around, left the gravelly sand there, and there were footprints in it. There was a big foot footprints there on top of that mountain top, several different sizes. But once once I saw that, I drew the conclusion that, first of all, there's no way that we can assume that a bigfoot necessarily lives where you see it. I saw the first that one in Costa Rica and it was associated with the landing of a Ufo. And that makes me believe either they come with the UFO or maybe when the UFO comes, they come out of the forest and come.

51:31 Up to meet it. I have no clue. I have no clue. I've thought of a lot of ways to kind of set up a situation where they could be filmed, but until that happens, we can't really tell, you know, but you'd have to almost do an experiment to see, like, where is the origin of this creature? Is it kind of like a tourist, you know what I mean? Is it some kind of biological hunting suits some for pleasure, you know? Is it some creature that lives in a computer that basically takes over, you know, some kind of a dummy and then goes out and enjoys itself hunting and trapesing around. I don't have a clue, but honestly would not jump to a conclusion that it's either a bad spirit. I would not jump to that conclusion either.

52:12 I think that there's a lot of history that shows that Indians and different people have had contact that have been really interesting and educational from some and others they've said, hey, that thing will kill you and eat you. So maybe it's just like people, because there are people that are very religious and nice and divine they would never think of hurting a single soul. And then there's those out there that want to eat people. So oh sure, yeah, world, there's some weird. Yeah, every society has its h it's outliers, I guess, I guess you could say, right. And even in the pet industry, you got a snake that would normally try to wrap itself around you and kill you and eat you, and then people are keeping them as pets, and you got them on YouTube hanging out with babies with toddlers. Here's my fifty foot Anacona with my toddler, and and and so there. I don't believe in reaching conclusions here where I'm at in Ohio, I'm just across the border from Pennsylvania. I mean, I could almost throw a rock to Pennsylvania, right, I think it's like a couple of miles away, and we have here a rash of dog man sightings. I live right on Militrey now, I live right on the park, and I've heard sounds out there. Of course I haven't recorded anything, but I've heard them, Like when I'm sleeping and I leave my window open. Sometimes you hear weird sounds out in the woods. They aren't bears, you know you. Bears don't go They don't do this, you know what I mean.

53:37 And even dogs don't do it. And so I live kind of in a hot bed of nature areas where our nature areas have gotten shrunken down, and now they're just tiny little corridors that basically run along rivers and in between neighborhoods and along railroad tracks. So everything's packed into these things, these little runways nowadays. And people think, well, wait a minute, my neighborhood's right here, there can't be nothing out there. Well, let me tell you there's still stuff out there. There's holes in the ground, things crawling and out of them. I wouldn't jump to a conclusion yet about anything about these creatures about like, oh, that's an endangered species that lives in our woods and has been here. We don't know it could come out of the ground. There could be creature societies of them underground.

54:20 We know, especially in Ohio where around me there's lots of coal mines that are abandoned, and you know, what can you say? And then there's the forest that normally has its own holes that go places that haven't even been discovered. I would draw conclusion. I really really would not draw conclusion based on just you know, oh, it's must be a human or it must be a animal. No, I can't draw that conclusion. And I've, like I said, I had other experiences. So for pretty much most of my life, I've been cataloging mentally my own experiences and trying to draw a conclusion about what is the nature of reality that this is possible in spite of the fact that we have our alleged scientists saying this is physically against the laws of nature.

55:10 I don't really care about laws of nature anymore or what any authority says about this is against the laws of physics, because I have seen so many times that this alleged law physics people go, we can't explain it according to our laws of physics. Well, when are you going to finally realize that you can't explain it then and just say it and just drop your idea that you're even your law physics is some kind of complete worldview. It's a bad paradigm. It doesn't include ghosts, it doesn't include intuition, it doesn't include anomalies. Give me a break. It's not a complete model. So I've abandoned pretty much any of that. I mean, it works for if you're into manufacturing. I'm into manufacturing, so I can deal with physics for knowing, you know, what's the tempted are my plastics? And what's the hardening and stuff like that, or you know, does this burn a human being? It'll burn you if you touch it, because that's physics. But as far as drawing a conclusion about these nomalies.

56:01 No, no, it's it's definitely all This is, as I want. I want to say, one of the last great mysteries of the world. It's not just something you can look up online or in a book. That's that's why I'm drawn to it, and I think a lot of other people are drawn to it too. But you know, Captain, yeah me as well. Yeah, absolutely, I mean that. The whole reason I participated on this show, and the whole reason I watched this programming and support your work is because I genuinely believe that whatever is there the neighborhoods that live around these areas. They need to be pragmatically informed. You need to not be panicking and freaking out. Now I'm gonna put a fifteen foot fence around my arm with twenty million volts in it. That might not even help you. You might die on your own, you know, your own fence. But definitely, I think people should be aware, highly highly aware, Like maybe you don't want to take your garbage out at night, you know, like a Sunday night, you're gonna take your garbage out. Maybe you're gonna say no, no, you know what, I'm just going to take it out when it's light out and not be freaked out, but at least be a little more cautious. Or if there are creatures out there and we can kind of map where they're at and know basically where they're at, where's the last time that was reported, Well it was over there, So be aware, you know, like, don't let your kids go out playing out in the woods just because you don't want you know, here, the kids went out to the woods to play.

57:22 They do it all the time. We grew up that way. But then when your kid goes missing and you don't understand what happened. It could end up falling back on Hey, you ignored the fact that that bigfoot has been sighted there twenty times, or there's been a dog band sighting in there. And they're like, well, if I had believed in that, I wouldn't have. You know, this is the thing that you can't you know, what are you gonna do? Wait till you get hurt to know about these things. And that's why I was always very alert and I uploaded what I uploaded. It wasn't for me to try to make a reputation or make money. It was more like, man, we all got to be alert because I mean, one thing's having religious people go and you know, to people's houses saying Jesus is coming. But what if we say, hey, you know what, even way before he comes, something else is already here and we're not paying attention to that. Well, I mean, I'm not religious, but I'm just telling you that religious people, more than anybody, they feel like they're the most alert people. And I think that they're whoever told them and founded their religions told them, you'd better be alert because you're gonna see weird things, and weird things are going to happen, especially in the end times.

58:23 I don't know times means. End times might be the end of your ignorance, it might mean the end of the world. I don't know what that means. But the end times were allegedly predicted that we'd see a lot of weird things and that we should be extra alert. I think the reason we have to be alert is because, for one thing, we know that the authorities, alleged authorities, are not going to inform us like we had expected. I had expected that the government was on my side and would let me know about stuff. Well, now I. Realized, guess what they're not. They're gonna learn about something, but they're going to keep it a secret until it's good for them. And so that turned me into my own government. I govern myself health, I do my own investigations, I do my own research, and nobody stops me from drawing my own conclusions. So if I want to help somebody to understand my point of view and conclusions, hopefully that can help and give a little data.

59:12 At this point, we. Don't have any hair or fingernails, but we have this anecdotal evidence. Exactly somewhere exactly. We don't have all the DNA answers yet, but hopefully Sunday we'll get that. But yeah, the public, the public have a suspicion. The government definitely has all the evidence they need. They might have had the evidence so long that now they have their own private warriors that they've made with it. Who knows where the conspiracies can go, but yeah, exactly, public definitely don't have that luxury. But Captain Richard, thank you so much for sharing what you experienced just very recently out there in Pennsylvania, and it's just it's another another data point to try to figure all this out, as we were talking about, and please keep us informed if you do experience anything else out there in your travels, we would love to hear about it. And I would say the biggest danger is that we really shunned the fact that there are experiencers out there that could tell us more details, but we've marginalized them through some kind of gesture like you're crazy or some silly garbage like that. This is why I think it's very important your platform and the other platforms too, that expose this because it's obvious that something's going on that we should be concerned about.
