Red-Haired Sasquatch Found Lying in the Road Near Crater Lake | Oregon Encounter

I've got the privilege of talking to Jennifer, who had a very interesting set of experiences out there in Oregon.

Man, I don't think I've ever been able to talk to someone about an experience like this, so I've been very excited to get Jennifer on the show. In this area that we'll be talking about is known for a lot of strains out there in Oregon, a lot of weird things happening, So welcome to the show. Jennifer, how are you today? Thank you. I'm doing really good. Jeremiah, fantastic. Now, is there anything else that you would like to share about yourself before we get going for the listener? Well, my name's Jennifer and I'm fifty eight years old and I grew up on the Oregon Coast and lived in the southern Oregon Coast Brookings, Oregon area, and spent a lot of time in the Redwood National Forest hiking and having lunch and enjoying time at the beach with my children as they were growing up.

1:42 Fantastic, And I hear that Brookings is a pretty beautiful area from people that are out there. Absolutely, I can't imagine being out there. You'd have so many options for different day trips and different weekend trips to take that just blow you away. But the thing is, it sounds like, Jennifer, from this experience you had about twenty years ago, you had something really strange happening when you were driving along a little north of Crater Lake. Is that right? That's correct. It was August fifth, two thousand and five, and it was a full moon, and we were traveling from Brookings to sun River, Oregon, and we decided to go after work, so it was rather late. It was around midnight, and we had rented a Lincoln town car so we could get the wedding dress and the tuxedos and the groceries and things in the car, and we were taking a nice trip. It was my son, who was about fourteen at the time, my cocker spaniel, and my fiance and myself and I was up looking for deer, of course, because I knew that there would be a lot of animal migration that time of year, and on the full moon especially, And it was a pretty uneventful trip until

3:13 we got to the area of Mount Tealson, and I remember coming through the turns of Mount Tealson into a straight stretch and over on my left the forest was really really bright. It had an illumination like many many. Led lights, a white bright light, and it was like we were going on train tracks. Our car would. Come up against like a train track sound, kind of a force that we were like on the edge of some kind of event happening, like you could say, a portal of some And I remember asking everybody, what was that?

4:07 Do you see that? Do you see that? And my son was asleep in the backseat, and he began to wake up, and the light was on the left. Of course, I was a passenger in the car, and I looked forward to watch the road, and on the right there were numerous little eyes at about three feet tall. I'm assuming they were eyes, knew like probably if they were a set of eyes, probably fifteen sets of eyes three feet tall on the right hand side of the road. And then I was looking forward and on the left there was probably five to seven sets of eyes, and I thought, what was that because they had just kind of appeared out of nowhere. There was no other movie went up until that point on the highway, and I said, did everybody was awake at the car at that time, And I said, are you guys seeing what I'm seeing?

5:13 So about thirty seconds to a minute later, we were on a straight stretch of highway and I could see the blinking red light from Highway ninety seven and that was helping doing some illumination along with the full moon. And in my side of the highway there was something in the highway and I said to my fiance, I said, do you see that? Don't hit it? Don't hit it. And I asked him to slow down because he was going rather fast because we were the only car on the highway, and so he began to slow down and swerved around it and came to a complete stop and backed up the car because I said, did you see what was in the middle of the road. It looked like a and he backed up the car. We got out and there was a sasquatch lane in the middle of the road in a fetal position. Okay, We all got out of the car, including my cocker Spaniel, and we walked up to about forty feet away from it, and it was lane in the middle of the lane in a fetal position with its back turned to us.

6:31 So we approached it. We got within like I said, I'm going to say, forty feet, and I knew exactly what it was. I knew what it was. And it wasn't an elk, it wasn't a bear, it wasn't a wolf. It wasn't like anything I've ever seen. And the most astonishing part to me, Jeremiah, was it had red hair, and the hair was between seven and eight inches long, and it was shiny and smooth. There were no twigs, there was no plane cones or anything in the hair. It was not matted, and I got an overwhelming sense that it was a juvenile male, and I didn't want to go any closer to it because I thought perhaps the set of eyes that I saw a couple minutes or a minute and a half before could have been its family pack or clan, and I thought, if I get too close to this juvenile, you know, a mother could come out of the woods, or a father or a sibling, and it wouldn't be good. So we kind of ran around, and I tried to call my dog because my dog wanted to come closer, and she just wasn't understanding she was a cocker spaniel and she just was doing her cocker spaniel thing, acting rather goofy, and I was like, Katie, get.

7:57 Back into the car. And then my son, Tyler, who was about fourteen at the time, I said, you've got to get back in the car. And he was still kind of waking up, and so I was pushing him back into the car and I said we've got to go, and we got back into our car and started to go towards Highway ninety seven, and then my fiance said, well, we need to take a picture of this. Let's get the camera and go back, and I said, absolutely not, We're not going back. We're not going to take a picture. We're going to leave this thing alone. And that's exactly what I saw. Okay, wow, this is extremely interesting. So I got so many questions for you. So why would you why would you say no, we're not going back, We're not getting a picture.

8:50 Well, because I didn't want to have any confrontation. Let's say it was a they were hunting. You know, I'm not quite sure if I believe they're they're not a half animal, half man or something, but I do know that they hunt, and if they were in a hunting party on a full moon looking for game, I didn't want to encounter any of the other people in the juveniles hunting party because that could be they might think that we were going to hurt their baby. Sure. Sure, so this was midnight that y're or was it a bit after midnight by the time you got to the area where this was.

9:35 It was a bit after midnight because we didn't roll into sun River till about two o'clock in the morning. We also had a strange thing when we got into Sumult too. We Shumult is a town south of sun River, and we had a large deer jump over the top of our car. We were going about thirty five. Miles an hour through Shamo because it is a town and. A rather large deer. They're larger than the ones on the Organ Coast that I'm used to, and I thought, this is incredible. There's a lot of animal movement at that particular time.

10:20 I have a few more questions about what you saw down by Mount Tielsen. So it's laying in a fetal position, so I'm guessing that means it's on its side right with its back to you. Yeah, Now, do you have an estimate of how let's see so that would have been, or just how high off the pavement it went? It was pretty much centered in the road, because I remember looking at the yellow line, which would be closest, you know, to where its head was, and it was about three to four feet from that line to where its feet were, which weren't tucked up at a ninety degree angle, by the way, They were more of about a thirty to a forty five degree angle. So I could get a pretty good idea how tall.

11:13 I thought it was. It was a little over six feet tall in my estimation, because then I looked up how wide those lanes are. You know, I've done in the twenty years a lot of thinking about this and a lot of continuing well, listening to shows like yours and some. Other bigfoot shows. And I've found out too that the Klamath Reservation is somewhat close to that area. And whatever show Bobo's on, I was watching him and there's an episode out there where they had to ask permission of the Klamath elders to go up in that area and look, and they're correlated according to the Planmouth Indian Reservation people, that they're correlated with these orbs or lights. Okay, I found that was really interesting.

12:14 So that is extremely interesting. Was there any smell when you guys were walking towards what was in the road. No, there was no smell, And I've thought about that too, because there was no wind, and the night was extremely still and very quiet out there. There's no there's no lights from anywhere, so it's you know, it's completely dark except for the full moon, and it was really a nice night. Usual, Leo will get cold over here in central Oregon, but not on that night. We were just in t shirts. And jeans, gotcha. I want I'm going to ask the question I asked before a different waek because it's a weird question to try to get across. So let's imagine, you know, we're going to say there's a juvenile big foot in the road. You're looking at it, you're walking towards it. But let's say, you know, it's like a We'll say it's a pile of hair. Right, So how high off the pavement did that pile of hair go from the road?

13:17 Like? How many? How many feet high? Would you say? Was the hair? Oh? Like the width of his shoulder perhaps? Is that? Yeah? Yeah, that'd be a great way to put it. Yet I thought it was rather lanky. I mean I didn't see a lot of muscular His body type was rather lanky. That's why I was thinking he was young and growing. The hair coming off him. There wasn't an extremely amount of hair. Perhaps it could have been a summer coat. I think it was more lighter, silky, you know, seven to eight inches long, really selky?

13:58 Gotcha? Eliminating? I thought it would. I didn't know that they had red hair. I thought that they would have dark hair. So that surprised me a lot. So I was really taking a minute to look at it. No, he wasn't extremely thick, if that's what you're. Asking, He didn't, gotcha, gotcha. And I guess i'd be asking that question to try to get a feel of maybe how far, how wide the shoulders were, or things of that nature. I would say probably. Maybe at the largest three feet. Across, gotcha. Gotcha. The way that it was in the fetal position, with its back towards you, were you able to see the hands or the feet or any details about the legs at all.

14:54 I was able to see the legs, and it continued to have as much hair as it did on the upper body the lower the feet didn't have any hair on the bottom. I didn't The head seemed rather large, but it was facing away from me. Okay, do you remember what color the bottoms of the feet were. I think they were a lighter color. Really, I want to say they were more of a tan color. Oh, that's fantastic. Okay, that's very cool. Now, so you're looking at it in the middle of the road. Now, was there anything else ordinary, out of the ordinary about what you're seeing to do with the road around it?

15:46 Well? I just kept looking up the road where I saw the other light shine. And the reason I was interested in that was I was taking anatomy and physiology at Orgon Coast Community College for a couple of years, and we had just taken apart an eyeball, a sheep eyeball, and I learned that animals have a film over the scalaria, the white part of the eye. I can't remember the name. I think it starts with an end, but that reflects back the light. So when I saw the critters on the side of the road, which basically came from nowhere as we were passing in the car, I thought, that's got to be an animal because of the eye shine.

16:33 But I couldn't figure out in my mind if it was deer. Wouldn't it scatter if they were on the side of the road, Because listen, growing up on the Oregon Coast, we had elk in the road, we had deer in the road, we had bear in the road. It was just a natural thing to turn a corner and have animals in the road. And they usually scadatle They usually don't just all stand there in a pack, numerous all together like that, and on both sides of the. Road, it's it's a very strange detail. Yeah, it's very weird. So so nothing in the road like uh, let's say, like, uh, you know, marks where a car had to have had to stop suddenly, anything like that around the same area.

17:27 No, none of that. No. I looked. I looked for blood too, and I didn't see any blood. I just had an intuition that, like I said, I thought it was a male juvenile mail like a teenager because of its size. I don't know if it was stunned. I couldn't put it together. I didn't. I didn't feel it was dead. I don't think that they just die in the middle of the road. I thought more, maybe more that it had been stunned for some reason. I didn't feel that it was alone either. I don't think it was a young male hunting by itself, for example, or moving through the forest. I don't know if they have summer camps, you know, like the Native Americans used to, or if it was a migratory trail.

18:18 But definitely I didn't want to hang out for too much longer after I identified what it was, to see if there was any other ones going to come and you know, get my family. I don't know if they would, but I wasn't going to find out. Yeah, I mean, there's there's so many theories that you could come up with. You could come up with anything from like it's done by something, or it got hit, or maybe it saw you guys coming and it just freaked out and I was like, I'm going to just try to hide. But it shows the middle of the road instead of the side of the road, which doesn't really make sense, right, It's just it's very strange. Well, I've read of accounts. I've read so many books in twenty years, and you know, I tried to continue with this learning from my own sanity.

19:06 But on Highway one ninety seven, there are tons of accounts of truck driver saying that they thought it was And I drove that that road for eight years over to Medford to doctors and sporting events and shopping and things like this. But the truckers would say that they would sit down like they were a rock, and then as. They'd come with their truck, they'd stand up and move away. And so it could very much be that he was playing possum exactly because there was no blood. He didn't look injured to me. He just kind of felt like he was stunned. So maybe he was playing possum.

19:50 And so that makes me really wonder if you guys had kept going closer, what would have happened potentially? Oh my goodness, wow. I was pushing I was pushing my son back into the car and my fiance too, and trying to get hold of the dog, which she thought it was just, oh, it's time to go out and you know, you know, go to the bathroom or something. You know. She was running around like she was out of the car and all happy, mm hmm. And I don't know, but I thought to myself, you know, we could have we did have a foot phone back then, we could have we could have gone back, we could have taken a picture. But what are we going to do with it?

20:41 Sure? I mean, are we gonna Are we going to put it up somewhere and have everybody and all their friends come out and swarm on Crater Lake Highway and have a bunch of I'm going to say, cookie people or whatever. Back then you know, I'll make a big to do about it. And the reason why I was kind of protective over that matter was because we had a dairy farm Untilamunt County, and I'd ride my horses a lot on our land. And you know, the last thing we really wanted to do is have out of town visitors and people picking mushrooms and letting our gates down and tramping all over the place and leaving their garbage and making a mockery out of things. So I thought, I thought, I thought to myself, We're just gonna let it be, you know, because obviously they are real, and do they want to be exploited? And I would be protective of that, you know, their privacy and their right to be there as an ancient uh, you know, whatever they are, you know.

22:02 And I think at the end of the day, you had to do what you felt was right and stick to that decision. And yeah, I think you did do the right thing. Now did you report this to anyone? Did you? You didn't? Okay, no, I didn't because I didn't think people take me seriously. But I'll tell you what. I never hiked along again. I would take hikes all the time by myself if I had an afternoon in the redwoods or you know. And after that, I thought, no, I'm I'm definitely going with a friend.

22:43 Yeah, I don't. I don't blame yes, So no, And when I say reporting, even talking to like a law enforcement official or anyone on the side about what you or Department of Transportation anything like that. No, I didn't talk to anybody. I talked to. I was a school teacher for many years, and I talked to a girlfriend of mine that I trusted, and she was a substitute teacher, and she was going to be there for a few days. And she brought in a map and she showed me with little dots on the map all the sidings that she had been tracking.

23:24 And it was interesting to me around Oric in California, right across the border there from Oregon to California. What a hot spot or it really is. And if you follow Oric up the Klamath River area into that parallel place where I had my encounter, you can kind of follow it in a direct line up through Creater Lake National Park. And are you talking about or California, Yes, Okay, yeah, because down there, I mean that's just Ork is almost direct.

24:04 If you cross the Klamath, you have to go through the woods. I mean you're going to get to the Patterson Given Film site. So yeah, I mean I just had a guy on the show who shared a lot of experiences from down in Oric but up in the woods closer to the the Klamath and the Hoopa Reservation area. Yeah, and then I read David Polaidi's Hoopa Experience and then a second book, and then I really, you know, I've had twenty years to put this together before I finally got brave enough to speak about it. And what was holding me back was, you know, that normal experience I had before I saw the siding, because I really was afraid to say anything because that sounds so kooky, but that I don't know if that's correlated or what, but it seems to me that it is correlated.

25:01 So why would you come forward now to share publicly what you experienced. Well, my sister really, who reached out to you first, really encouraged me to do so. But I was definitely going to write David a letter just because he talks about these orbs and these portals and things like this that are correlated to seeing these cryptids, if that's what you want to call him. So I was brave enough, and I felt the science has caught up in the twenty years to where this wouldn't sound so outlandish. Absolutely, and I think that the more people come forward with things like this, it's extremely important that you do, so that you know, pretty much everyone out there can see, Okay, look, people are experiencing things like this, and we can start to draw connections like you just did where you know you were hearing truck drivers in a different part of Oregon saying well, they're kind of being like possums in the middle of the road, like a big rock, and that's how we learn about what's going on, to be honest.

26:14 So I'm glad that you did come forward now after this this experience, you had three different people in the car. Sometimes when people have an experience like this, it really affects them. Were you guys affected in any intense ways after this? Thank you for asking that, because I was just talking to my mom and my sister and my son will not talk about it. Oh wow. And every couple of years I want to bring it up in front of my mom or my sister and see if I can engage him in conversation and he completely clowns up. That's I can understand that.

26:55 And I. Hope it wasn't an overly traumatic ex experience for him. You know, sometimes it can be traumatic and it can really affect the way that you view the world. Since then, did it affect your fiance in any ways? He didn't really want to talk about it either. He just shook his head and acknowledged, you know, that that had happened, but he didn't want to engage into any deeper conversation with me or try to troubleshoot it. Or any of that. And I guess, you know, one of the reasons why I didn't tell an authority is because they would have just swept. It under the rug anyway.

27:38 In my opinion, I don't think they would have been truthful or anything, and then that would have probably put a mark on my back, you know too, or something. So I just left the government and the authorities out of that. I totally understand if this was to happen to you today, do you think you would have made the same choices. I would have, because I don't trust that someone wouldn't try to harm them, you know, I think possibly they've been harmed enough, and not only in their environmental areas, but they have a right to live peacefully and coexist on this planet. And just because we might be a more of a higher order species per se. We don't know, but you know, definitely we might want to take guns to them or harm them in any way, and I'm just not into that, you know, coming from a farm family and knowing how ecosystems work, and I would never want to put them in harm's way.

28:49 And I definitely respect you for that. I think that's that's the right way to view this is there needs to be respect and really, I mean the more the further that we go along, there's going to have to be conservation someday as well. But you know, this this area I've talked to a few people about the Creator Lake area is such an interesting area for bigfoot because you know, I've talked to hunters down there like Prospect Union Creek, and they all have the same story, which is, once you hit west of two thirty, it's all bets are off and there's some really really weird things that happen in the woods and sometimes even aggressive. But you know, after that, you've had twenty years after this experience on one thirty eight, have you researched the area to see if you could find any other interactions or encounters that happened in the same area.

29:51 Well, my best friend at the time and my other son kind of made fun of me. My other son was at wrestling camp at the time at Oregon State University, so my mom was going to pick him up and bring him to sun River for the wedding, and we told him the story and he kind of poo pooed that he was probably, I don't know, a sixth grader at the time. And till he and my best friend had to travel back from Central organ to Brookings for a funeral and they were both in the car and late at night again and there was a bunch of activity in the sky. They saw numerous flying objects going in all kinds of physical ways up in the air that our aircraft couldn't do. And they both called me the next day when they got to Brookings and they said, you know, this is what we saw. We saw at least two to three crafts going all kinds of directions up and down and sideways at accelerating and decreasing speed.

30:57 It wasn't an aircraft, commerci aircraft or aircraft that military that I'm aware of, that could do that. And so after that point, as they went through that corridor, you know, and experienced that in the air. You know, they kind of came around and maybe I was, you know, telling some truth here. Absolutely. Do you remember what year that would have been that they experienced that. Gosh, about three years after two or three years. After okay, so that would have been around like two thousand and eight ish.

31:39 Correct, Okay. Interesting. Now, sometimes you know, as you said, you started to look into things. You've played this over and over based on research you've done and also things you've experienced. Do you do you lean towards certain way of what you think these bigfoot actually are. I mean there's some people where they're thinking, you know, it's some kind of of human relative or some you know, undiscovered ape or do you think it could be something completely different that we're dealing with.

32:19 Well, because of what I thought it was either some kind of craft that let up. Now, remember there's large ponderosa pines through there, and even though we don't have a lot of underbrush like we do on the western slope of the Cascades, on the eastern slope, we don't have a lot of underbrush, but we do have a lot of tall trees in that area. I couldn't make out if it was a craft over on the left that was illuminating everything, or if it was say a portal where things came through. But I wouldn't put it past my line of thinking that it could be, you know, some sort of mixed DNA type creature where it's a little bit of human and a little bit of something else, and they came through this portal, say with you know those other things that were on the side of the road.

33:14 I think if it would have been dear, they would have scattered with all the commotion. I don't think they would have stuck around. So whatever those three foot eyeshine creatures were, that they could have all came through, you know, and did a visit here. Perhaps the sasquatch on the road was stunned. I don't know how much g force or whatever they go through. Do they have to take a couple of minutes to orientate or do they just hit the ground running. But to me, it kind of felt to me like it wasn't dead. It was a stunned type of creature and it was going to wake up here eventually. I didn't want to be standing there when it did. So that's that's kind of know where I'm going with that, I think right now.

34:03 Okay, gotcha. You mentioned portals a few times, and on the show its portals in Oregon have come up a few times. I mean, there's there's a story up there near Oakridge, a pretty famous one. There's a story is somewhere in I believe Southwest Oregon, Adam Davies portal story to do with Bigfoot. And have you heard of any other portal incidents when you've been looking through things that are occurring in Oregon. I haven't. I just know that when we went on the outside of it, it had a feel, it had a force behind it. Like I said, the train track and the sound of the train track kind of.

34:55 As we were going through it. There was almost like a little like a torque or something with how the car was moving as we were traveling, and the lights kind of were flashing simultaneously with the sound. I don't know if a spacecraft could do something like that, I haven't been that close to one. Except for that possible that experience, any of those two options are still a possibility in my mind. When I would of course this could be another story, but I have more a similar experience with another family member in NESCo in Oregon, which is where the farm was in Tullamuck County, seeing things out in that area too, which is close to Mount Hebow, which is a hot spot, but that's over north and on the coast.

35:59 Now, are you saying that you had some bigfoot interactions or just like high strangeness things. Happen or an orb. We were two males up Slab Creek and my uncles had experiences with he's my mom's brother, saying that he would get be taken up, and I wanted to debunk it. So we went out two miles up. There's an old state park there on Slab Creek Road and Nescow in right as you come down from Cascade Head on the Oregon coast, and we all went out camping again. I had my sons, myself, my uncle, and another male who was a roommate, and we were in a circle out there camping at about two in the morning, and an ORB came in to our camp and I told my uncle, whose name was Jim, I'm not going to be taken up by this thing.

37:03 You know, you need to wake up. Because evidently we're out here to debunk your story and here they are. And so that was a whole nother incident of really high strangeness. Oh my goodness, do you remember what size and color it was? Oh? Absolutely, I was doing it again. I was in college and we were doing tree studies, and I was. Keeping track of the. Trees, so I know that a mature older for examples, about sixty feet high. And I saw the orb come in, you know, and we were all awake, sitting around the fire, and it was coming in slowly, slowly, slowly came to the top of the tree line of the alder trees.

37:54 And this was when I was really yelling at Jim and he was not getting up. Everybody else's up except my uncle. And I said, Jim, get up, get up. And he had been gone for four days previous and he had had the same copper spaniel with him, my dog Katie, and I was really he was up Hyak Road, which is just before that state park we were at, and he came back. He was gone for like three days and yeah, and so the next day we went out and this incident happened, and the ORB came in and I said, Jim, I'm not going to get taken up. You need to get up because this is your thing, and he wasn't getting up. So I was sitting there crisscross around the fire and I felt something on the top of my head and it was like air. It was completely silent and it was this air that came on top of my head. So that made me look up and it was like another thing locked onto the orb and chased it out of our camp and they were just going all over the trajectory was just all over all kinds of different angles and chased it off.

39:07 But the thing that was chasing it had a. Pink light and light green light on it. I don't know if it was a jet. I don't know what kind of craft it was, but it looked like something that we'd have because of the pink light and the light green light locked onto the orb and chased that orb off. Okay, that is so strange. I mean this area that you're talking about, it is really close to another area that comes up every once in a while on the show. And like the otis Lincoln City, Rose Lodge, Bear Creek area there, Man, that area is is weird. I mean, some of my radist stories have come from I guess that's called the van Duser Quarridor as well.

39:56 And we lived in rose Lodge, and you to the old NESCo and Highway through rose Lodge right there at otis interesting. Mm hmmm. So this is all you know. And I had my we had a farm out there, and so there was all kinds of incidences out there. I lived on Slab Creek Road when my birth son was with me in the car he was an infant, and we lived in our family farmhouse out there, and I would wake up in the middle of the night and my horses would be down on the lower field, just running back and forth and winning and naying, and you know, big bright lights would be illuminating on top of that field. And so my uncle was always drawn out there and he would go a payak, I don't know why there, and that's where he would get taken up.

40:55 And so he won't talk about it either. And we'd be at family reunions and my mom would say, do you want to talk about this? And he would just clamb up too. He goes, I can't just shake his head now, and he says, I can't wow. And he was taken up multiple times into some kind of spaceship. Right and the last time. He was gone for three days and he had my cocker spaniel with him. Oh and and so they took the cocker spaniel up in the ship as well. Wow. Yeah, it's the same one that was in the car when we were on Creater Lake Highway or east side in Lake Highway.

41:37 My goodness, is that dog could talk? Can you imagine thing? Yeah? Wow, extremely extremely interesting stuff. Hmm. Yeah. I don't talk to a lot of you know, abductees and things like that do not come up a lot on the show, but this is the second time they've come up recently. It's very interesting. I know that when I would try to go a payak on my horses, my horse, my primary horse, would not want to go a payak, you know, And there would be no reason we go all over riding horses out there, and he would never want to go up that road, he refused.
