Liz is a listener from the Pacific Northwest and also retired law enforcement, and she's got a few things that she would like to share that have happened to her on the show today.

0:47 So welcome to the show, Liz. How are you doing? Thank you. I'm pretty good, fantastic it is. It's a good day out here. Hopefully you're having a good day as well. Talking a little bit before that, you know, you're just you're just glad to be able to get some of this out there in the air and be able to talk about it. So, yeah, I'm just glad that. You like a starter at hocktail parties, you know. Right, not your normal ones, although if you one or two out there, but yeah, your normal your normal ones. I totally get it. But I feel like I can I can talk to or just throw it out there too, and you know, and then I just sort of sit back and go.

1:32 You know, if you think I'm a weirdo, so abit, it's no skin off my nose. Absolutely, you just kind of get to the point where, hey, it really happened. It doesn't it doesn't really matter how the other person feels. You know, it's still happened to you at the end of the day. But you know, feel free to to take us back to where this happened to you, when it happened, and what your experiencing, and and then we'll check about it afterwards. Okay, So the first couple of experiences happened and were really interesting, but but I didn't know what was happening. So I suppose at the time it would have been even worse if I had a clue what was going on or what I would seen. But like so many people, I think it wasn't until Finding Bigfoot came out and you know, twenty eleven or whenever it was that I kind of started putting things together and I was like, that's what happened, That's what that was. But anyway, that the first thing, and I still don't know what this was, but the first thing that would have been in about nineteen eighty seven or eighty eight thereabouts. And I grew up on a property outside of Sama Rosa, California, on San Rosa Creek, and we had about five acres out there, and as soon as I turned eighteen, I moved to a little studio out the build things that my father had originally built before he built our house, and so

3:04 he and my mother had lived in that fully built a house which was one hundred yards away up the hill anyway. So it had slight glass windows that overlooked the creek and while there was like a flat area that sort of sloped down to the creek that it saw, and my bed was right in front of its windows. And so I was sleeping one night and I heard something walking around out in front of the windows, which wasn't unusual. And we had dear and you know whatever, all kind of scrutters out there, but it seemed heavier than a deer at the time, and so I kind of made note of, you know, oh, I wonder what that is, or just sort of Okay, there's something wandering around out there. But then I got this sense that there was something moving over me on the other side of the windows, and I just felt I don't know that I even felt terror so much as evil, So so I kind of started to think what it might have been, since I know other people with other things that kind of the spring of the feeling of evil.

4:19 So I was just I was so pectified. I just laid there in a fetal position. My back had already been to the window, and I just laid there. So I still don't know what that was. I do have memories of having feelings growing up there that there was an area of the property that I just didn't go to by myself, and I had always felt kind of seeped out by it, and that area was behind the studio where I was living. In fact, I never really went even there was one area where I would kind of rush to go by it to get into the studio while I lived there anyway, So that was that one and in nineteen eighty nine or ninety there, my men and I were driving along the one on one one along the Breastlan River between Cloverdale and Totland, and it was night time, give me in the summer and nighttime, because the hills were all golden, the hills kind of went.

5:35 It was kind of a river valley there, if you will, and so the hills rose fairly steeply one side I guess it would have been the east side of the highway, and there was road construction going on there at the time, and I remember there was a there was like a pull out there along the river somewhere with a big pile of like road based or gravel or something, and so he pulled off wanting to get Christy. So he pulled up and pulled behind the pile of gravel, and I remember, like, you know, started doing what young people do, and all of a sudden, I mean, we weren't there very long, and all of a sudden, I just looked out, you know, being in the in the wilderness, wort with stars and things didn't really treat me. We had been something so so it was not like me at all to feel the panic and I said, we got to get out here now, and he looked at me like this song with you, but he agreed. And as we were driving away, I looked up the hill and I could see sort of the storm coming down the hill.

7:00 It must have been a phonement or close to it, because I think it was dark. But like the hills sort of in the summertime there they you know, they get yellow and the dead grass and the tennis blow in the moonway. So I saw this term and I was like, oh, there's a bear, Like, okay, interesting, I've never seen a bear here before. And so it's walking down this scairly steep hill and then it stood up and continued to walk down the hill on two legs, and then we were by it, so I sort of I had no real time to think, you know, what was that? It was? Oh a bear? Oh wait it stood up? What is what? And then we were gone And I had no understanding of what that was at the time, or not even enough understanding to be suspicious.

7:59 The point was the time I was just you know, the brain just sort of went late hunt and then I sort of put it out of my mind. And so we saw finding Bigfoot and people started, you know, people were talking about the fear, and then I put it together, so that was kind of interesting. The other experience I had before re finding big Boots was about nineteen ninety nine at the Cloud River. I think we were I think we had hips to upper and we were coming back and there was oh, which is along the along the trail, and I got this had this monkey smell. I don't remember now exactly what it was.

8:47 I was just like overcome with this nasty smell, and I assumed it was a bear because again I didn't know any better time, and maybe it was, but I had the super keeping feelings of being watch and was sort of moved along rather quickly along the trail. I was. I think I was ahead of my dad, who was listening anyway. So that was the That was the only other free finding Bigfoot experience. The next thing that happened, I think it would have been about two thousand and twelve, between twenty twelve twenty fourteen, maybe, and a friend of mine and I were hiking at Montgomery Woods in Sonoma County, California, and both of us out of the well we heard something off the trail and turned and looked and thought, just out of the corner of our eye before it disappeared, something sort of stuffling around under a I guess it would have been a redwood tree, and we both remembered seeing something kind of an u came colored. So we saw this thing with reddish their We just saw it out of our perporal vision, so it was almost like we saw it out of our crystal vision, both of them thought. But then it turned the face that it wasn't there, and we both said, where did that go?

10:17 What was that? Where did it go? Let's go see what it was. And then as we're sort of chopping off trail to go try and figure out where we had seen it, I said, okay, that's that's a good idea, because we we thought, wait was that affair? And you know the old oh, it's a there, And so we kind of got closer to the area where it had been and suddenly got started thinking, you know, this isn't a good idea and turned around and walked back to the tail bit. But and again, it wasn't until I think I had started listening to podcasts about FoST quatch that I even put that together. And I called her and asked if she remembered what we had seen, and basically she remembered it as I've just told it. But anyway, so I told her, you know, so I guess what I think that was. She was kind of weirded out, but anyway, so now interestingly, it was about that time Braying, I believe, where my husband was on the camping trips around and came home from camping and related this incident.

11:38 He was standing at the campground, an RB campground, but there were tents on one side and RB's on the other, and it was pretty late in the season, so he was over in the tent area by himself, and he said at about two or three in the morning, he woke up to some like tremendously loud scream and it was utterly terrifying. He described feeling it like in his death and wanting to make a run for his trust by not really being sure that he'd make it, so he just kind of stayed put and was frisen. And here I think he actually actually stayed out there second night anyway, but and I want to say it happened the second night too, and then he's like to be leaving and then it's typical of a lot of people, you know, like, we were talking about it, and I said, I said, well, you know, what did it sounds like, well, kind of sounded like those idiots on finding big Foot, and so I played different sounds for him, and you know, all kinds of others sounds, and I said, so it was a big pot. He goes, no, No, I don't know.

12:54 I don't know what it was. I don't know what it was. And I'm like, dude, I played you know, cougar isn't open and all those things, and when I played big book call, yeah, it sounded more like that. I'm like, oh, uh huh, but you don't know what it was. Okay, you stick to that story anyway. So that was his experience, more information that people are gleaning as more people where lots of your listeners agree with anyway. Something about twenty twenty when we moved to a rural world property in Oregon. Oh. Actually, while we were in the process of moving, I was saying what my friend in France had and woke up at three in the morning and I heard a distance really really laughed. Oh.

13:45 It was a long ways away, but it was so loud it was easy to discern, easy to hear. It wasn't faint, but it wasn't like splendering like it was super close either. Twenty twenty follow twenty twenty, we moved to found sixty miles that was the crow life away from Oakridge, Oregon. And because I've been listening to all the podcasts and you know, I know what they do to dogs and I have dogs. When we got to the property, it was we were in a small town, but on the outskits of the town, like we were the last three, you know, Ridge and and so I just sort of put out psychically into the universe, you know, blessings to you and your family. I don't wish you any harm, and these dogs and my family, and basically, you know, I need you to leave them alone. And if you don't, I know who to call. Two Raine Heroine you. I wanted to come in peace and keep welcoming that. I also wanted to let them know that I wanted to be through with, you know, if there was anybody around, you know, I don't know if that was a good thing or opened up some sort of whatever.

15:17 They realized that I'm just somebody who knew about them. So I drove up one day did I have and heard I wouldn't another time there. My primary bedroom overlooked the hill going the back to the back of the party, and I couldn't take my eyes off back. Felt like it just always that felt like maybe there was something creeping there or just something that I was like, I just didn't stop looking. There was a lot of brush on the property. I was sitting at the back of the property. You didn't have a very far line of sight until we had the brush cleared. So a friend of mine and I were sitting at the back of property and they would say, you haven't seen this end the visit, and you were saying, wow, so we need to But yeah, you know, the feathers were really cool.

16:19 They plan them with I could gather some sail feathers. I was just getting the one from the wings that they drunk for work, but I'd really love to have, you know, through tail feathers. This was a really pretty one. And so anyway I'm getting think of it. We had the brush work done and then within about a week the brush seemed cleared. It was about two weeks after when I visit Galling where I picked up the nail. I was driving down the Langley one day and there was this brown thing sort of blowing in the breeze down where I always stopped to get the nail. So I stopped and I thought, what is that the litter of whatever? So you had to pick it up? And it was the whole inside and I don't watch call it, you know, the iridescence. So I picked it up and I was like, instantly I remembered that I had made that comment. It was like, so I just like, well, you know, thank you. It were all together. I mean, it wasn't like something had shred of a turkey and there were just you know, feathers everywhere. It was a complete Sometime around then, they went on a hike with friends Pottage Growth and we're hiking along the trail to the water, and it was there was a group of us and one of the people in the group was really excited to be on the route hike, and they were kind

17:52 of running back and forth and loudly guiding the hike and just we're excited and really loud and bridge and and there was kind of a little shoe on one side, and all of a sudden I got this sense there was this presence. Yeah, was like right next to me, like wrongly demanding to know what disturbance look about in my head, you know, And I got the feeling that something sort of turned on the feel and but so that was weird. It's kind of a phrase that's been punctuating the last few years of my life. Oh that was weird, the last thing that happen. Oh no, I thought, that's right. I was looking at so after we got the breast weird, I was looking bedroom window one day.

18:55 I can't remember what time of day it was, but and I saw lost something that russ. What I in what my brain said was, oh, that was a turkey that just flew away. But like that trajectory, like if there was a turkey or a chicken that was, you know, standing in one stuff and then just sort of fluttered up and away because they don't go really high, you know, they just sort of foot along just above a crown. But it was kind of that's trajectory. And but it was faster than that. But I think it's a complete blur.

19:37 And I hadn't heard that described yet, I don't think in any of the podcasts that I listened to. But then I did start hearing this so then it was likely again, and I asked a native elder the line who said, just real off handedly, oh yeah, that's them going between dis mentioned. Oh okay, say it with me. That was weird anyway. So and the last thing that happened there was my husband was gone and my son were on a stript and I was just going to sleep.

20:25 And I mean, I don't know what this could have been a dream. I don't know, but my memory is that I was just sort of starting to drink drift off, and I had this vision as like the old TV screens that flared the snow and the silhouette. My goodness, So how how how recent again was when you you saw the like TV screen with the silhouette. That would have been somewhere around when two And then we moved and I don't have to deal with that anymore.

21:05 We moved it. We moved to the thing. Okay, gotcha. So you moved to an area in the city. Now there's nothing because you're inside city limits. And all that. Yeah, well we're in the largest stay in Washington, Okay. So yeah, and then I and then I looked up and I thought, oh great, Like the most sightings are in the Washington like, oh great, right, great boy. Well, I mean, yeah, you're right, they totally are. And it does depend where you are, but yeah, that state is definitely number one. You said something really quick.

21:47 I'm pretty much close to a bull eyg. But I don't really go out, gotcha. I hurt. I hurt my back when we were living in in Oregon, so I don't take anymore very far so, so I just words stay to the sidewalk short that you know aren't very far out. So and I certainly don't think anymore. You had said really quick, and I think you were referring to the Bigfoot when you said it, or a sasquatch. You said these people is were you're referring to them when you said that. Yes, So I'd be interested to note what was it that you you meant by when you refer to them as these people are? I guess that kind of leads into what is your thinking when you think of of sasquatch what they are?

22:44 Yeah, there are people, you know, I don't I'm not an anthropologist, but you know, there's just they're not a monkey. They seem to have a language, they communicate with one another, They communicate with us, so I wouldn't know how else to characterize them. Gotcha, the property where there was a lot of really weird stuff happening or starting to happen, Like you found the turkey feathers in the tail the tail of the turkey feathers, which is really interesting. Did anything else, Did anything ever happen inside the house or did it seem to there's almost like a barrier where stuff inside you're good, but outside maybe a little weird.

23:40 Nothing happened in the house. And I've lived in houses where we've had paranormal activity before, so one of it seems to be a magnet for that. So we didn't have anything happen in There were lots of windows, and so I always kind of self and not a lot of window coverings because the windows always felt a little creaked out. I kept the windows or I kept the blindstron as soon as evening hit in my bedroom. But yeah, it felt like there was felt like there was a barrier. Gotcha. Did the bigfoot stuff happen first for you or did the paranormal stuff start to happen first in your life?

24:29 Yeah, that's big foot stuff. I didn't notice any paranormal anything when I was a kid. So my husband is an EmPATH and I've later had someone tell me that I was also. But I think given my career path and the fact that you know, if you're in law enforcement, you if you are an impath, you have to shut that down real quick. And I definitely set that down early in my career, so I had kind of I mean, I think my emotions were shut down for a long time. My enpartmentalized, you know, way of hoping with life in general.

25:14 H but the emotions were pretty set down, So I don't know that I would have felt a whole lot the tour normal stuff that I experienced in in our home was years before. It was pretty obvious and it was I mean that it happened to all of us, we all know, including the dogs. Oh wow, did the Bigfoot activity? Did that become more prevalent after you were done with law enforcement or was that kind of I'm trying to see if maybe there's you know, you had you had shut down being an empass during your law enforcement years and then I'm guessing there's a point where you retired and then you kind of were able to open that up a bit.

26:08 Yeah, definitely, I retired in twenty fifteen. And so the fightings that I had early on, well, let's see, first, my first experience was before I got into law enforcement. The second experience was just about the time I was starting in law enforcement. We have the fear and the fighting and the others. Let's see the along the McCloud river that was early in my career, and all of those were really the ones where I felt something as opposed to, you know, the one that was later in my career and near the end of my career was exciting out of the corner of my eye. I didn't get a feeling about anything. It was just a visual visual So yeah, I mean at the point, the more close interaction you know that I had in more recent years were long.

27:10 And have you ever checked with anyone else that would have been in the house that you had that vision with the silhouette of the sasquat shape. I guess that probably would have been your husband would have been in the same house and your son. Did you ever check with them to see if they had similar experiences? Oh? No, I mean I didn't want to freak out my son. You know, my husband probably would have said something because well, I don't know. No, I haven't asked them implicitly. I'll do that and get back to you if you haven't been interesting for me. But they both just sort of, you know, regard my my sasquatch fascination, as you know whatever, mom's quirky, stupid, whatever. So I don't really talk to him a whole lot about it.

28:02 I mean I have passed in my kids about them and about other things that they might run into in the woods. One of my my boys had a career in there was a career that's going to take him into the woods a lot, and he spent a lot of time out in the forest, and so I wanted to kind of explain to him what's out there, and you know, basically, if you believe me, you believe me, and so we kind of had some conversations about it. He sort of looked at me at a stance when I started trying to bring it up to him, because he's been out and it was a lot and didn't have any kind of obvious experience. But then I think he kind of started listening to me a little and so I think he I think he said he heard a whistle one time that he thought was a little weird, and I'm like, yeah, well, don't whistle back right now then, So yeah, I was interesting. And then the other one, the younger one, and the older one is pretty, and the younger one I know has had has since turn almost before as well. M hm. He's kind of emotion league guarded and dying and himself, I know when he was younger, definitely, we had looked at a house to

29:32 buy and he said, no, I got a creepy room, and there's not buy that one. And so I was like, all right, I'm going to listen to that after we had already had the experience with the other house. You know, it's certainly going to listen to his advice. But anyway, so, oh my gosh, I'm sorry I was, and I thought, where're going with that? Anyway? So I talked to him too, and because he he wants to go into a line of work that is now going to pestentually have him out in the in the woods, So so I've talked to him about them too, and I think I want to say that the first one, look, I've seen one of these things, don't you know, Like I'm not just crazy, you know, if I told you I thought a four hundred pounds, you know, black bear, you'd believe me, right right?

30:21 I was like, yeah, So I said, well I saw the said here's exactly what I thought. You tell me what it was. And so anyway, so I think they believe me. But they also, like you know, they're a young man. They have to see something to believe it if it's unbelievable. But I said, you know, I'm going to tell you about it, and so that if you do say something or having experience, at some point, you'll know what's going on and you'll know how to hate even what to do with at least as best we know. Yeah, and I think that's hope for the best. I think that's good that you know you're doing that as as a mom. I mean, you know this. The things are out there, they're going out into the woods, and so you're kind of putting that out there. Even though they may look at you a little funny, it's still important to you. And I think that's good that that you did that. For sure, did you ever wish you had made another decision? You were talking about the the vision of the screen with the silhouette, and you were kind of like you shut it all down. Do you ever wish that would have played out differently? Or do you feel confident in the decisions that you made?

31:36 Just curious? I mean, I won't say I'm not curious, but I don't need to. I don't need to cultivate that relationship. I got you. If that's funny. You had mentioned Cottage Grove really quick, which is a really active area. Then you mentioned you were you were out there making dire waterfall? Is that? Are there any more details you can provide about the area that you were in outside of Cottage Grove. Let me see if I can. I can't remember the name of the trail. I'd be happy to share the name of the trail. But drove by Therena Lake, I think, yeah, and it was the waterfall. I want to say there was a lower and a Brice Creek trail for a Brice Creek, Yeah, Brice Creek. Okay, Brice Creek all for kin go on trying to see I want to say Bright Creek trail. Okay, that for a lower trail. I could totally be making that up, but I want to say it was it was along there somewhere, Okay, cool?

33:00 Cool, thank you. We weren't helping to the upper falls. Gotcha. Gotcha? Do you feel good at the place that you are now, where you're in an area where things kind of settled down you don't have to worry about it, or do you kind of wish that there was still stuff that you would experience at times? No. I actually kind of had a weird experience the other night, which I hope is a dream, but I don't know. I don't know what it was. Two nights ago, I was in that I don't sleep really well often. Yeah, so I think I was dosing back off or something had awakened me. I'm not sure anyway, So then I thought I heard somebody giving them in garden, which is right behind my wall, my bedroom wall. It was like if somebody drove a kick into the ground. It sounded like that there's something mean from one direction. And then it's my son's yelling in his room on a discorder or something. But anyway, so there that and don't kind of felt like it's tingling that started at the top of my head and sort of went down to my shoulders.

34:24 And when we had permoral experiences before, and that's that's what I've experienced that tingling, and so I kind of tried to like psychically set it there room they know, and it for a second and then continued down my body and just sort of partalyized. Down that that is extremely interesting. It sounds like you have a something in mind that you'll be doing to probably work against those whatever potentially is going on. Do you know the history of the house as well? Yeah, pretty much. I mean there's yeah that that neighbors who has been here for since the place was best, So there's no weird or creepy history or anything. We haven't been having paranormal experiences since we've been here, thankfully.

35:23 My husband had a little something a while that I at least might've on a regular basis with different different stuff tobacco and either they duty, But it was it was odd to me that I've heard an almost you know, like immediately before this thing happened. And then and I kind of about the since you know, the feeling overtaking. Yeah, I almost the sense that it was or like it was like it was scary, but I didn't feel like it was a level.

36:20 Feels like there's a pattern of your constantly keeps something constantly keeping something at bay and just like no, just get out of here, but just kind of keeps coming up. I don't know, I and not that it's my job to figure this figure out what's going on, either, but I just it's very intriguing. I feel like it's it's not a story that that finished when you guys left to go to Washington, if you need to get what I mean, I feel like there's other stuff. Probably Big Fort itself is a mystery, but you get deeper into it, and then there's these other mysteries, and which is you know, what's the connection? You see these patterns where it's like someone has interaction or sighting and it might open up other things. Why does it do that? Why is it all connected? And I don't know if we'll ever really figure it out. But the way that you said that psychic was talking, you know, I've also heard other people in the community say similar things, where you know, you could be opened up to two different things in the realms.

37:31 But the good thing is it sounds like you have a way to kind of protect against it, which I think is important. And maybe that'll be different things for different people, depending on what your background is. But yeah, Liz, this has been a really really interesting conversation. Thank you for you know, walking us through what you've experienced in your life, and I hope it was it was helpful for you to be able to put everything out there and allow us to listen to it. But I just hope that things continue to go well for you and that you continue to have a handle of what is going on.
