UPDATE: The mystery of the “aggressive wildlife” on Lookout Mountain has officially been solved. Chickamauga and Chattanooga National Military Park says a territorial barred owl was responsible for encounters that prompted the closure of part of Bluff Trail. At least one encounter reportedly resulted in an injury. Park staff thought the owl had moved on and were preparing to reopen the trail—then it returned Friday morning. The trail remains closed while park staff continue monitoring the area. #tennessee #owl #publishtoall
